The Shocking Day I Flashed a Crowd of Churchgoers

"Our story. This week is from sarah. Paris who you'll find on medium dot com and here is the shocking day. I flashed a crowd of churchgoers. And this isn't even my most embarassing moment. How did i find myself soaking wet and naked from the waist down in front of a church crowd. Did i traumatized scores of little kids. In grandma's it's a long story and yes most likely here's my tale of woe. Thunder roared through a heavy sky. I sped down winding country lanes panicked. We wouldn't arrive on time. My friend grace and i were running late to church and she barked our countdown time from the passenger seat. Five minutes dude. We're still a few miles away. She screamed god. Still hasn't given me the stop time. Talent i'm going as fast as i can. It was the july after college graduation. My college roommates and i had decided to share one less carefree summer together. We played all summer each of us working part time and in vain clinging to the last vestiges of young adulthood. They were all three weeks away from heading out for various graduate schools. I was leaving to spend a year in. Amsterdam are worry free. Summer was spent embarking on adventures playing at the beach and sleeping in until noon. We talked about church but so far had bailed every week grace and i were the only ones going. We're both lazy on sunday morning. But we'd commit it. The church was thirteen miles away from our summer house and the last service began at eleven. Am we didn't walk out the door until ten forty five am. The sky wept as i pulled into the crowded parking lot at ten fifty nine. We laughed about our mature adult like behavior and found a parking spot. In another state. I realized distance from parking space to church was easily a thousand miles. The rain was blinding. And we didn't have an umbrella between us. Let's just blow it off this week. I suggested but i knew we couldn't. We dressed up for god after all we gathered our things made makeshift head coverings out of our jackets and sprinted from the car in one hand. I clutched both my jacket. And my giant norma's keychain my bible and purse were death gripped in the other hand. Grace only carried her jacket. At least seventeen feet of rain had fallen in the time. It took me to park. Grace i mustered our courage and ran at the same time. We were about ten feet away from the swarm. Faithful and responsible umbrella owning congregants who are reaching the churches front door. We swam to join the crowd. My soaked clothes weighing an extra hundred pounds and stuck to my buddy beamed with my love for god as i faced a possible drowning. Death for him are tears of laughter mixed with the rain and i could barely see. Suddenly i noticed that my wrap around skirt felt a bit loose and then gray shrieked with a new menacing laughter. She was pointing at me and covering her mouth. A cool breeze roared my backside before i realized what had happened. My hipster rap around pencil skirt was down around my ankles. My bright pink bikini. Briefs were on display for all of god's people and we were still thirty people back from entering the church. Foyer i exclaimed oh my grace help me. Grace replied is only close. Friends can way she said. Between bursts of giggles she turned to the family behind. Me over. ear is no one should have to see this. I had nowhere to put my belongings and struggled to pull up my skirt. please help grace. I pleaded. I need to savor this moment. I wondered if she was possessed by now. Most of the people surrounding us striptease a nervous. Dad laughed a grandmother. Told me i should feel ashamed of myself. And a mother with her two young sons. Put her hands over. There is finally graced. Took my stuff allowed me to pull up my sopping dirty skirt sitting through the service friend. She smiled. I narrowed my eyes and shot lasers at her. We walked into the back of the crowded service and those in the rows ahead of us turned and stared. I heard two women behind us. Whisper to each other. What is wrong with that girl. I prayed for a dark cave to crawl into. The god doesn't always answer prayers. In the ways we desire the judgment of stranger sent ways of heat through my otherwise shivering body. You can stay. Told grace. But i'm going. We snuck out and trudged back to the car. I can't wait to tell everyone. My compassionate friend said when my mortification wore off. I only regretted that i hadn't shouted. You're welcome on my way out of the service. A few years later grace introduced me to her fiancee's hunter sarah the skirt list wonder. I've heard all about you. He laughed and clapped. My back. neat responded to this day. I still have a hard time making eye contact with hunter again. My church strip-tease barely cracks my top five embarrassing moments so whenever you dur public humiliation i hope you'll recall my pink bikini briefs and i hope you'll realize that you're not alone.

Until i was thirty six she sort of set me up to file in law. If i didn't i didn't have boundaries You know she didn't teach them to me. She made me live by them. But not allowed me to have my own voice and and stuff like that and You know a be thirty six years old and i. I just couldn't take it anymore. She had completely try to control. My life You basically fell in love with my husband tried to do my children and Just took them and just cut off contact with my hometown. Family which then led to me for many many years after that to Leaving out a self abuse. Because i didn't know what was wrong with me. What i deviated to learn a lot about nazism. And and then i just went through the process of Of healing myself at the tolerant knowing what to do and Dimona ten forty nine was not living on this anymore and i it would break my heart to see people suffer through united just being bullied or getting into a relationship that they could get out of. That was unhappy and many many people live with you know without so flow because we were talking back. Then you know you've got to do things for others and put others before you can so clogged was really thing. It was locked tough and often Not i believe that anymore and so flood is very confusing to people. That aren't really what it is. They should be doing To release their trauma and emotional baggage. You know it someone huge encroaches your boundaries or. Do things for them that you don't want to do and they have no consideration. And but it's a continual thing it's Something that although law though tell you a blatant lachey face and then although tell you something and you don't hang on a minute and then you feed that back to them and the dow you know they'll be lucky. That's not what i said. Or that's not what i did or and so then you just become long magor mart laar crazy. Did i just make that open. You know and then when this happens all the time you know you really end up questioning very own self. you're your you're your mentality and There's a different level of narcissism having as a parrot because they're the people that bring you into the world you know other is someone who gave birth to you so you would think i'd be the one to protect julian Not you an and teach you to be strong and You know my mom didn't do any of that and make bad choices and then not pick narcissistic men. So i want gain on. I couldn't have a voice and was A choice alcoholics And things like that and so the stock who just sort of went on and you know when when when someone is emotionally abusing you and putting down and Barking orders it. You and stuff like that. What happens is you. You didn't turn laws and so you instantly emotionally abusing yourself

The IRS is Eyeing Crypto

"You're planning in on trying to cash some of your casino. I should say some of your bitcoin and trying to pocket. The gains will be prepared for a potential tax it. If you've owned or used bitcoin you may owe taxes no matter how you acquired used it. Cbc senior personal finance correspondent. Sharon edison is here now with more on what you need to know. Sharon hi andrew. Will you know if you bought or sold. Bitcoin or any crypto currency this year. The irs wants to know about it. It now asked this white on the first page of your ten forty federal income tax. Return at any time during twenty twenty. Did you receive sell send exchange or otherwise acquire any financial interest in any virtual currency. And you have to answer yes or no now you need to check. Yes if you involved. In any transaction with the crypto currency including selling it receiving it transferring it for free exchanging it for goods or services or other property including another virtual currency and like stocks any gain or loss from the sale or exchange of crypto currency is taxed as a capital gain or loss. So it's very important to keep good records of your transactions now. You're gonna find out a lot more about bitcoin and your taxes at cbc dot com slash smart tax planning andrew. So couple of questions consequences if you don't check the right box on your taxes. Turn either you're dodging purposely. Or maybe just don't know well you need to know you mean to make sure that you understand how this works and working with tax professional is key here because if you've made a transaction and you do not check that yes box that tax experts that we've spoken to say that you could be accused of tax evasion by the irs. There could be criminal consequences so this is a very serious consideration that you have to make right there at the top of the ten forty four. You can't miss the question. But you must answer truthfully is because there could be significant consequences. If you don't sharon just real quick our places like coin base and other institutions are they reporting your gains and losses as well to match. I'm so glad you asked that because like a brokerage firm will report. You know what you've done with your stock transactions your other transactions. This does not happen. At many of the exchange this does not happen with crypto currency. Usually so it's very important for you to keep very good records on your own and to make sure that you understand how to keep those records having cpa and enrolled agent some tax professional who has worked with quipped crypto currencies. His work with tax payers. Who are dealing with. This is very important so ask that question as you pick the right professional work with his sharon. I get the idea of having report if you've bought or sold crypto currency. But the idea of if you've used it for any transaction could get really complicated especially as more and more vendors are accepting it as a as a form of payment if you let's say you rented an airbnb on something using it. Let's say you bought a cup of coffee somewhere you've got to report. Every of those transactions that can be incredibly complicated. It says it says any so i know that but of course it is difficult to keep all of those records and all of those documents the issue is that people want reporting anything and i think the irs has been really looking to crack down on this looking at the millions of people who own bitcoin right now own cryptocurrency and. How just several hundred. Some years over the past few years have been reporting every year. so they're missing a lot of people and they just wanna make sure. I think that they're getting the accurate numbers of who has who owns bitcoin. Who's using it and how reporting it sharing this just just thinking about all the ramifications because early adopters. They may be smart enough to have their own little wallet where they don't even use a coin base and that may part of the appeal of bitcoin. I think is that it's so anonymous. Some people and we've seen historically what it's been used for so it has that You know the impression that that that it gives. But i would think anybody that buys on coin base or coin. Base is not going to be able to say. Oh no we're not going to provide anything coming. Base is going to have to generate if you answered. Do they generate like something to the irs. Right now about the people that they're dealing with or will they not a standard form life at ten ninety nine form. There's not a staredown. Four for crypto currency. So you may have a some institutions may have some type of form or paperwork that they deal with the irs. But there's no standard standard ten ninety nine like you get with the brokerage firm from what's coming telling. The market cap now is for bitcoin and for other cryptos that that's going to. That's that's gotta be near term for for the exchanges. I would think if you can't you know it's like a wild. Wild west only lasted for so long right exactly and that's again that's that's evidenced by the fact that it's not on the schedule anymore. It's not tucked away somewhere in tax documents where you have to report. This is right at the top on the first page of your ten forty form. So you're absolutely right. Things are definitely changing. Okay all right. Sharon thank you. I appreciate that thanks. People say that's why it was invented. We'll see when when the when the rubber meets the road. Whether everyone you know going to be it'd be interesting to watch Better better hire more. Irs agents. I think

Dallas Cowboys Strength And Conditioning Coach Markus Paul Suffers ‘Medical Emergency – Undergoing Medical Tests’

"Paul the cowboy strength and conditioning coordinator was rushed to the hospital early yesterday after collapsing in his office at the team's frisco practice facility about seven thirty yesterday morning and he was of course they They called they called medical emergency responders and was was rushed to a hospital right away and the cowboys didn't release a lot of information. I decided that it happened. You know and that he was undergoing medical testing and and that while even even mentioned the testing errors that was part of what led to the problem. A rumor that that spread that that he had died and a lot of outlets published that he had passed away out. Part of the part of the problem was the fact that they had. They cancelled practice yesterday. because of this and no explanation was given so people thought. Okay this is this is more than just somebody not dislike covid nineteen or something or somebody somebody who had a heart condition and had to be taken the hospital. I saw it on a tweet that my daughter reid tweeted because marcus. Paula graduated from syracuse. In one thousand nine hundred eighty eight and they were outlets in syracuse reporting that he had died and his daughter issued a statement on facebook saying her fifty four year. Old dad was on life. Support in the family was praying for a miracle. That is apparently still the situation this morning. Although we don't know but yes. A lot of a lot of people did report That he had died and apparently some of that and again now. Now we're now we're wandering into You know rumor and speculation but apparently some of that came from one of the cowboys players. Who posted a tweet strongly implied or said that marcus paul had died and they were praying for him and they hope that he was watching over them. And and that sort of thing Tmz reported at ten forty six yesterday morning pacific time. of course. it's two hours. That marcus paul in fact is not dead former new york giants offensive. Linemen tweeted rest in peace coach. Paul you'll be missed so there was a lot of confusion.

FASA Cycle To Open on October 1st - Here's What To Do

"About a week ago through October the first the facet. Has a planned outage? This allows for the new updates to load in the system and it will open on October first. Now, the fastest cycle lasts twenty one months from October one before the school year begins and it closes on June thirtieth of that year and each year their system changes and processed guidelines that can cause issues when logging in or when processing your paperwork, and that is why I always recommend waiting about a week or two because the irs website might be experiencing some technical issues and you really want them to work it out. there is no big rush to log on October one or even. October. Second to do anything the money's not going to run out in a day or two and I want to talk about what you can do two things to really important things you can do during from now until you complete your Fassa that will help get you moving in that direction. So I know a lot of times families here that you know the money is on a first-come-first-served basis and that is true. the funds that the schools received they allocate based on you know as their students submit their applications and acceptances or made. However, they're not gonNA run out of money in a week or two. So waiting is always in your best interest because. You know in the past, there have been issues with the data retrieval toll when the federal government went to a different shorter tax form, I believe that was twenty eighteen there were issues or with the two thousand eighteen cycle. So you just want them to work those issues out and you don't WanNa be the Guinea pig you don't want them working out on you so. No rush you know maybe put on your calendar for October fifteenth or even October thirtieth but no rush. So. Here's what you can do. Instead two big things. Number One, really start to gather all your documents. So everything in place ready to go so that you're just in all the data. So one of the first things you want to do is get your F- Essay I D, and you can create that at f. s. a. ide- dot E dot go the have this link in the show notes. And both the student and the parent will need to create their own FSI ID and you keep it private because it's your electronic signature. and you will use this. Your student will use this for all of their years of school and parents. You'll use the same idea for your current student and if you have other students after this student who use that same day. Also make sure you have all social security numbers, driver's license license numbers and alien registration numbers if you're not a US citizen. Now you'll want to gather your W. Twos, federal income tax returns, any other records of income earned. And for the parents income you want to have the most tax return. So for this cycle for the twenty, twenty, one, twenty, two, you're going to have your twenty nineteen tax return. So just having on hand even though you will most likely be using the data retrieval toll there's some cases where you shouldn't use it, but if you're using it but it's still just really good to have it on hand as well as ten forty forms If. The Student Is Independent Bank statements and records of investments and just records of untaxed income, and this leads me to my second thing that you should be doing and that is no the schools you're you're planning to apply to so. Begin to think through the list of schools you're interested in attending. sure. You add colleges you're considering even if you haven't applied yet most likely students have not applied by the time you know it's still September. So most likely applications are not in. An for many students are still waiting to sit for either the sat or act. So you know that application may not be in yet. or You may not have heard back. But even if there's a slight chance that you'll be attending, that are applying to that college you one to listed on the fast form you can always remove it later if you decide not to apply. But if you wait too long if you're waiting until the this spring or later to at a school, you could miss out on financial aid. So my number two point is really to think through your list to build your college list and get those schools are on your list on your essay on the Fassa form. So that they receive your results electronically when you do submit. To help them to determine the type of a that you would receive. Okay. Now, you can list up to ten schools at a time on the form if you're applying to more than ten schools, this is what you do. So you'LL WANNA give it like a week or two be a week or you know for the school to retrieve the data and pull it off, and then what you do is go log. Back in Click on the homepage log into your F s you're facil- account and you'll be given the option to make corrections. What you'll do is just remove a few of the schools on your list and then add the additional schools hit submit and then it sends it out again to those particular schools. So again, the two things that you can do while you wait and don't rush for that October one deadline. I'm number one, gather all your documents that you're going to need all your supporting documents and number to really think through the school list because just completing it that step one but part of that completion process is knowing where's the information going and what what I don't want to Excuse me what I don't want to have happen is you know students kind of complete it and forget about it. In terms of the later lying for school maybe November or December and forget Oh, I forgot to add that school to the list. So really keep a list of the schools at you're planning to apply to and make sure that they are on the list on the fast form.

Microsoft's 0-Day Folly

"But. At some level if you can get a lot of them, that's aggregated value. It's it's not good. Speaking of not good. Last week's patch Tuesday. When when zd net subs up We've patch Tuesday saying Microsoft says attackers have used a windows zero day to spoof file signatures and another Roku Remote Code execution in the Internet explorer scripting engine to execute code on. USERS devices. We need to take a closer look and actually those two things are the subject of the podcast that we will get to because. It's just hard to believe what a closer look reveals. But we have a hundred and twenty new flaws. In Microsoft's software fixed last week making it the third largest patch bundle of all time topped only by each of the previous two months with good and July, weighing in with one hundred, twenty, nine and one, hundred, twenty, three fixes respectively. This month's bundle carried a bit more urgency than usual. Since one of those seventeen flaws which were classified critical was zero day underactive attack at the time of the updates and one of the remaining more than one hundred flaws rated as merely important was also a zero day being exploited in the wild and publicly disclosed. So not even secret. The first of the two is titled It's e Two, thousand twenty, thirteen, eighty scripting engine memory corruption vulnerability being scripting engine problem. We should not be surprised to learn that the source of the trouble is e eleven. It was reported by a researcher at Kaspersky lab, and since it could be invoked by a militias office document, the belief is that it was probably spotted being used in fishing campaign. Microsoft. Had this to say about it. They said in a web-based attacks scenario, an attacker could host a specially crafted website that is designed to exploit the vulnerability through I e and then. Convince a user to view the website. An attacker could also embed an activex control marked safe initialisation in an application or Microsoft Office document that hosts the I e. rendering engine. The attacker could also take advantage of compromised websites and websites that accept or host user provided content or advertisements. These websites could contain specially crafted content that could exploit owner ability in other words. Anything, that puts content. On a website that is able to evoke I e which we know they can. Can. Can do this. So keep this in mind when we get to the other end of this podcast because. It's unbelievable what the history of this is. So that remains a threat to anybody who hasn't yet applied last Tuesday's updates to their installation of windows ten. So obviously, it would be good to do that the second zero day despite being actively exploited in the wild and publicly known is only rated as important, which seems odd since it is CV twenty, twenty, fourteen, sixty, four and labeled someone innocuously as a windows spoofing vulnerability. Okay I suppose the scale of the problem should relate to what's being spoofed bugs description will catch your attention because it allows attackers to spook the identities of other companies when signing digitally signing an executable. Now, that's the way the press covered. We will get to the details a bit later and Microsoft's words. They said these spoofed signatures could allow an attacker to bypass security features. Intended to prevent improperly signed files from being loaded. Now, all of this is a bit of misdirection because the signatures are actually not being spoofed as we'll. We'll exp explain that later. So this too is not good but. Will cover the details at the end beyond those two day those two zero days. Five of the other critical bug fixes are for Microsoft's Windows Media Foundation, the multimedia framework and infrastructure, which has been used to render digital content ever since windows seven and since windows server two, thousand eight. In these cases successful exploitation would allow an attacker to install militias south ware manipulate data, or create new accounts. And among the rest because again, we had one hundred and twenty to choose from There's also twenty, two, thousand, ten, forty, six, another nasty one in the dot net framework affecting versions two point zero through four point eight. It's a remote code execution flaw. In the way dot net handles imports. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to gain admin level control of the vulnerable system. This vulnerability would be exploited by uploading a specially crafted file to a web APP, which is, of course, not a heavy lift these days there's all kinds of Web APPs that are saying you know that that involve uploading user submitted stuff. This allows that to be exploited. So as always don't wait too long before

another another former former democratic democratic presidential presidential candidate candidate is is endorsing endorsing Joe Joe Biden Biden in a video on Twitter California senator Kamilla Harris threw her support behind the former vice president saying quote I believe in joke we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people and I believe Joe can do that and with us right now was ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts Steve what a difference a week makes it did you anticipate Joe Biden picking up this mode the momentum this quickly no I have not I don't think anybody did I I think what we're what we're seeing though is a fascinating phenomena based on one word and that word is fear it's fear of Donald Trump and fear of Bernie Sanders Joe Biden has not been reborn as some useful charismatics move talking energetic candidates Joe Biden today is still the same Joe Biden that people have a lot of doubts about two weeks ago two months ago two years ago the difference is that Democrats have so desperate so frantic to find somebody who can beat Donald Trump that they decided that day either as a group and individually as voters and as candidates they'll camel Harris being an example of of having to rally around somebody and then choosing between Biden and Sanders the fear of Bernie Sanders is pulling the party too far to the left so there's a lot of energy around the Biden candidacy right now but in my view it's largely negative energy it's driven by fear it's driven by desperation there are not a lot of Democrats even this morning jumping up and down in Saint Joe Biden's gonna be a great candidate a great president but this negative energy is very powerful and that's what's driving this trend do you think it's now his to lose or is it too early to say that definitely has to lose end up and I think it's gonna be very difficult for Bernie Sanders to rebound here the one variable of course the one no wild card is by himself as I say he has not been report he's still the guy who can show astounding lapses of judgment he's still the guy who could make gaffes he's still the guy who can show his age very clearly he's still the guy who can appear fumbling and uncertain and in debates with Bernie Sanders and interviews it's still entirely possible for him to make damaging mistakes I think a lot of Democrats even if they rally around by they're holding their breath and hoping that Biden will get its act together and I've seen some signs a few signs of Byton improving on the stop I think he's shown a little bit more energy I think the campaign line about I'm the candidate of those who have been left behind it counted out is a defective and powerful line really echoes of a bill to written of nineteen ninety two the comeback kid although Biden's hardly a kid he's more the comeback teaser than the comeback kid and also this line of of of appealing to the concepts of dignity and civility and normalcy I think they provide a fairly stark contrast to the president who's in the oval office now but Biden is still Biden it was all of his flaws but at this point he's the Democrats best hope and it's gonna be very difficult for Sanders to capture Steve thanks for your thoughts again this morning ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts it's also worth noting that this morning one of the former Warriors: Matilda of Tuscany

"Of Tuscany. Matilda was born in ten. Forty six in Luca Tuscany. She was the daughter of a prominent ruler in northern Italy. When she was just six years old her father was assassinated. Her siblings died soon. After making Mathilde the sole heir to her family's Fortune Matilda's mother then married the Duke of Upper Lorraine an enemy of the Holy Roman Emperor Henry the third in response the Emperor Kidnap Matilda and her mother and brought them to Germany. He kept them as hostages for a year until he eventually reconciled with the Duke. That experience marked the beginning of Matilda's lifelong animosity towards the Holy Roman emperor. Matilda married the Duke Son in ten sixty nine and they had a child who passed away as an infant after that. Matilda move back to Italy with her mother to rule like her father. Matilda was a stringent supporter of the pope. She became close friends with Pope. Gregory the seventh and was involved in his conflict with the emperor when Henry the fourth became holy Roman Emperor. He and Pope Gregory clashed over the power balance of the Holy Roman Empire. Henry pushed to increase the power of the emperor over the clergy insisting that he had the right to appoint new bishops pope. Gregory wanted to preserve his power and excommunicated Henry the pope also passed a resolution that stunted. Henry's power staving. Henry's underlings had no obligation to obey him. Henry feared the possibility of a rebellion. So in the harsh winter of ten seventy seven he made the long journey to Matilda's castle and Canosa to meet Pope Gregory and beg his forgiveness. After being forced to wait in the cold for three days Henry was permitted to enter the gates cook humiliated Henry further. I making him walk barefoot through the snow and kneel at his feet and penance. This became an iconic historical seen right. Matilda's Gregory revoked Henry's excommunication but the conflict didn't end there. Henry was excommunicated two more times for other offenses after his excommunication in ten eighty Matilda remained at war with him for over two decades. Sometimes she would don armor and personally lead her troops into battle. She also helped finance. The pope's military operations Mathilde battled against Henry until his death in eleven o six in their final conflict. Matilda gathered an army of local small landowners. Who were familiar with the territory there? Quick communication gave them an edge over the emperor. Soldiers Matilda herself wrote on the battlefield surrounded by a small group of loyal men. Henry's battalion found difficult terrain and watch towers raining spears at every turn.
