And that's where bill is tuned into tonight. Go ahead bill. You're on free talk live. Hi yes my biggest problem is. I have trouble with the media as far as following up on do stories that we hear in the morning and it goes on all day. We'd never hear the final outcome the namely Whatever happened to hikers that that were up about washington and lost their shoes or one loss to shoes and their backpacks. And and we've never heard anything more about this story. Phase off into the sunset story happen just this past week okay so it was probably last week at. Yeah so there's multiple issues but they'll follow up and it becomes a little disconcerting you know. You're concerned about whatever happened to who never had a problem just goes on and on. So what are you so just to clarify. I do see a story here from the boston globe. A couple of weeks ago saying that to hikers twenty age twenty fell five hundred feet on mount washington but escaped serious injury. Was that the story you were referring load. Were to a thirty four and thirty five year old and they were hiking in the white mountains and they lost their back pie packs at lost their their shoes and they to hypothermia Based on the fact that they were walking barefoot in the snow and really cold temperatures never heard anything more about it than where were they from. how how come out. They were rescued. After and news. Media is definitely worse. I think than it's ever been in my lifetime at least as far as like you're saying doing follow ups as far as getting the facts correct as far as keeping opinion out of the The so-called gentlest. I mean news is in real bad shape right now. Plus you've got a lot of the old news organizations like newspaper. Some of them just going straight about a business others are dramatically cut. Cost cutting you know. Taking staff members out completely removing entire departments closing down on production having maybe half the production. Excuse me that they used to like going Three times a week instead of seven times a week Cutting down the size of the paper. I mean there's been all kinds of just reductions in staffing and of course that's got to reduce quality you know at some level there probably relying more on centralized news sources like a for their content Than they ever have. So you know. I think the best solution here is with the essential. You know for lack of a better term citizen journalism. I mean people who actually care enough about an issue to go out and report on it themselves and try to buy. I think local news probably takes a back seat to the national news eh and what. Nancy pelosi is doing and Whomever and so you know just a little disconcerting. When you have a sincere interest is what might be happening locally. I'm amazed actually. How much local news there is. You know. I don't know i. I came from new jersey news somewhere. And i don't remember there being anywhere near as many local media outlets as there are in new hampshire really mean there's local radio stations. There's local paper multiple local papers and in some cases and i just didn't i mean i mean there was. I mean i guess there were there. Were like county news. Outlets and things but Yeah like just like like towns and things have new hampshire healthier the new jersey. And that's a real sad case for new jersey because pretty bad as far as its news options are concerned. I mean there's only one major. Tv station in new hampshire. And it's only ever been one of them. There's a smaller station now to be be i n Which competes with them so there is a competitor. That's that's about it. There are a handful of talk. Radio stations across new considering the population of new hampshire. Yeah i think it's well covered. I mean at least. I'm not saying new. Jersey doesn't have more coverage in terms of like the population larger too so yes the population in new jersey. I don't know but it's got to be million. I mean yeah. I mean we're talking like new york. So you'll own eight million people and that's like right near new jersey and new york city's in new jersey anymore tri area and it's huge population. Bill i i hate to admit but i did come from new jersey five years ago. I moved in hampshire. And but we did have. We did have Radio stations that are communicated their local news But i guess it decided the time. So i think news is in an awkward phase right now where you're seeing. The elderly population which has always subscribed to a newspaper has been dying off. You know over time so literally. The newspapers in a lot of the cable. Television channels are losing their subscribers by attrition and so they don't know a lot of them don't know what to do transition into the new world because it's hard to get an old dog to teach an old dog. New tricks sees these are old dinosaurs of journalism. And they just don't know how to do it a new way. Their idea of getting on the internet is putting up a paywall so no one can read their content. And that's just not what the internet is looking for. The internet believes things should be open and accessible. Generally right like that's what that's the way it's always been online and so when you get organizations like the new york times in there they have this old mentality of gotta charge. Everybody and i understand. It's hard to make money on free news. I get it like. I'm not saying it's an easy transition. Which is why. I say it's an awkward timeframe for these for these companies. There's not really anything that's out there. That sort of ready to replace the old media like at the same level of production. Like you know freaking dot com a blog site that i blog on but i only blog when i feel like it. I'm not on some sort of schedule or anything. I think i think. What the issue is that amount of money that went to newspapers and other media outlets in the old days was huge it was substantial and now the problem is that they're they're they're still working off this idea that they have all this ad revenue in all this money down and they don't and it's not necessarily that it has to be such a bloated operation. They could slim down and do it more efficiently. But they're not used to that and so they're going under instead well and it was that way what you just said right now would have been true a year ago before cova hit and then kobe and now it's ten times as true that's true because not clear weather covert.

"Teddy Graham. Hey, guys. I heard my name, so I figured I'd call in what? I wanted to talk about those since nobody's here on the show tonight. I wanted that. Nobody said I mentioned a couple of times and recent history about nobody calling for violence. And I went back and looked at a couple of those, and they really seem to be emotional our feet in the moment and I've met nobody. I think he's a really nice guy. He doesn't seem angry or violent in any way to me. S so I think we could. At least that's gonna save me from him now, Um, well, I mean, I don't know. I think that I I don't want there to be violence. I think there will be violence because eventually I think the government will come and try to shut us. I shut people down who are who are speaking out? Not necessarily this particular group, but we've had stories about the government ramping up. I'm talking about putting covert dissenters in concentration camps. We've had people saying that Biden's intelligence service should be going after libertarians. So you know, I I would say that that Uh, I certainly think that people should fight back if and when The, uh the government comes after them because they're not going to get any justice from the government. They're not going to get anything but robbed blind and probably keep murdered because he's actually referencing though I think I think he was referencing some something else and regards to, uh, you know, cracking down on corporations or something that you mentioned. I think he was talking about the violent fighting the government. Kind of violence. That's what you were talking about, right, Teddy Graham. Yes, I like I said, I haven't personally.

I have no idea what that is but and it just went viral viral twice this year. I think that gang bang set the stage for happy to do like that really out for him. Happy shinyuka thought about smokey robinson entire all life. So he's back in a big way. I can't see you singing smoking period. Imagine how many four hundred cameos he's done since this happened. That saw he's probably running up since four to do or now. I bet if i purchased a cameo smokey robinson and wrote happy chanuka and spelled it like chattanooga like more like the way that that sounds phonetically that he would then still say hannukah and then kind of ruined the whole fucking thing for me. Yeah people are mad at him for that. I don't think people are actually angry. I think everybody because he. He even issued an apology and matt allen apology but like you just clarified. You know. i'm sorry i didn't. I didn't know that spelling. I don't think people really mad because it was obviously a goofy thing. He he clearly didn't have any serious Ill will towards the jews see. And I don't like loss like this because it restricts composition You know we need to have conversation more bending just push everything underground people just seeing the secret chat groups on your was it grew your Teddy Graham and your facebook groups within your own echo chamber other all the things that you're not allowed to see. It is only when he's add up that it can be contested, it can be common. We kind of a conversation about it. We can say that that's not right. We can we can. We can expend our the dialogue in some ways. But when you suppress it, it just gets hid is like we are able to talk about race and religion because we've been talking about for so long. We want to talk about with religion in a healthy way. Yeah. knock-on. Not Not in like I'm right. You're wrong way. Because they will end up in the debate but in the long we you know what? What you believe in what what, what are your aspirations? What does your family you to be? What on life? That's our faith you can live? Right how does this to you? I. I don't know but it was a big song. And she got a standing ovation and David Williams and Lisa Dixon. Amanda they all stand tears everywhere and Simon Colleges state sitting so she gets through and then it's a phone call a week later saying now. You're sorry nine years of age says. Oh my crew. I was in the Guardian so it must be true. Also also the lock inch so this is one of the big races which we talking about as well They are saying that. It's unlikely to go ahead and May That's obvious but they're also saying that it might just be gone. That may not be saved. So how worrying Chris is that when you have Russia Charleston and Teddy Graham Thorpe talking about how important it is to save the classics and to save the Group ones. And obviously it's very very important that we saved the lower end of the scale is well because there's a lot more horses in training at the lower end but maybe scrapped worrying. Yeah I mean I was interested in very impressed to hear Lord Graham Thorpe. Making a point of saying you can't just save the good races for the invariably won by the high profile owners and trainers. You know you have to try and save the other racist further down the races that feed into those races being over the you know the racist for for people who wouldn't get that kind of material that would run into So it was a very voluble point to be making not necessarily what you would expect from somebody who spent so long running an elite organization. This job Montier but yeah well I mean it would be sad about the lock in but then you have that problem mentioned earlier if you try and run it later in the season you. There's every time series just going to be taking horses from other similar races the later in the year so I mean maybe you can find a slot. A for example royal. Oscar isn't happening at all and then you don't have that problem but bumping into the Queen on some. I'm afraid the reality is probably not all of these Good graces that. We're used to having you know the racist point throughout the year. Maybe it's just not possible to save the most particularly bearing in mind the pressure that there is going to be on On prize money. We're GONNA have to find from somewhere. She crushes everything. That oaks win was phenomenal. She's one of the best of ever seen but i have yet to read a quote from teddy graham thorpe from caterpillar or from john gosden or from frankie to categorically states that this was her final ever british run. Just remember that earth's been around for like four billion five hundred and thirty six million years and you live during guy Fieri. Yeah. Existed. Exciting kids won't get to do that. Yeah. I do have one guy fury story, please. Where? I met him back stage at a kid rock concert. Which is just all roll sounds exactly where you'd meet. Yeah. It's like, no. College kids wear, and and they're just like you're talking about something that's so retarded, and you're just like where my friends. You know? Yeah. This guy had a bomb? How were those frat parties because I was in a friend college. And when bands were there, it was the shit and DJ's like it was any sort of like thing that was not just playing music from there. It was really really fun. They always be like super welcoming. And I went to NYU. So I didn't really have any of that like all right lifestyle. Frat parties house in house party that he he went to Syracuse. So they had that they're so he would just like he would verts back to his old self your sample..
