"I say, you know, in the mid single digits probably closer than it should be for Republican. But still does look like lead heading into election day for him. But again, you have trend lines Willie that appear to be breaking in the Democrats direction and a lot of these races. Again, we talked about Indiana yesterday seven points that may be an outline we just have to wait and see. But Steve brought up Florida. We've got two or three poles out of the Florida Senate race that it's just like just like Texas has shown. Ted Cruz ahead by a number of points every poll that we've seen lately his shown a Bill Nelson. Head of Rick Scott. Yes, Steve look at this here. This is a CNN Paul. This is a margin of error race. If you look at that poll Nelson up two points on governor Rick Scott for the US Senate seat there in Florida. There's a Saint Pete poll as well right here. Same spread two points for Bill Nelson. Over governor Rick Scott there. This to me like a toss up. What does it look like to you? Yeah. It does it seems. I think the most encouraging thing for Democrats is there was a sense in Florida that after the hurricane down there just giving the handling of the natural disaster in Florida by the governor by Rick Scott that there might be a political boost for him from that. There was polling showed three to one margin Floridians approving of how he handled that. And sometimes you just see in politics. The famous example is Chris Christie, New Jersey number of years ago. But when a state goes through a natural disaster, you'll see a bounce for a governor. I think for Democrats looking at this polling. You're not really seeing evidence there that this has changed the equation. In Scott's favour. The other thing is the nature of midterm years when you're the opposition party candidate in a midterm election year. I it's a good place to be it's one thing when you're Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota and Trump when your state by thirty six points, that's a lot of political grabbed overcome. But when you're Bill Nelson in Florida Trump when your state. By two points. So this is the scale here, they're both red states on paper. But this is obviously not nearly as red stated some of these other Democrats are sort of in. And so I think the midterm climate does make give him a little bit advantage there to another fascinating rates in the southeast. The latest poll has the race for Georgia governor separated by two tenths of a percentage point Atlanta Journal constitution channel two action. News poll puts Stacey Abrams at forty six point nine percent and Brian Kemp at forty six point seven percent with five percent undecided and libertarian Ted Mets polling under two percent. Former President Barack Obama set to campaign for Stacey Abrams today in Georgia and yesterday Abrams head Oprah who didn't just appear at a campaign event. Judd Kemp Abrahams and libertarian Ted Mets had been scheduled to face off Sunday on channel two action news but camp had to pull out because he'll be at a rally with President Trump. They couldn't agree on a new time to debate given the small number of undecided voters in the race. WSB political analyst Bill crane says a second debate may not matter very significant majority of voters already know how they're going to vote even if they haven't voted in a waiting for election day. Oprah Winfrey will attend events for Abrahams and Marietta and Decatur today. Former President Obama's here tomorrow vice President Mike Pence will crisscross Georgia with Kemp today. Also after a ruling from a federal judge in Gwinnett after a ruling from a federal judge rather Gwinnett county will count absentee ballots with mismatch signatures county has only had nine voters with mismatch signature is on their absentee ballots. "One of the most closely watched in the country. Here's what we're finding Brian camp. The Republican secretary of state you were just talking about leading in our poll by one point forty six forty five over Stacey Abrams. Keep in mind, though, there is a third candidate here the libertarian Ted Mets getting four percent why that is so crucial here. Georgia sort of unique among states, they have a run off provision in governor's races in so of neither nor Abrahams. Get fifty percent on election day in November of Mets gets a few points keeps them both under fifty this goes to a runoff that run off would be held on December fourth. So that is the wildcard there. Also, the governor's race the intensity in it. The high interest in it we may be seeing a bit of a ripple effect in to congressional races. In Georgia, remember nationally, Democrats trying to pick up twenty three seats. Here's a blast from the past member about a year year and a half ago special election in Georgia's sixth district of suburbs. North of Atlanta, John. Was the democratic hated at the Democrats ported thirty million bucks fell short Karen Handel one that special election now, she's running for a full term. And look at this Opole out this week shows are only leading by four points. This is making Republicans nationally nervous just this week. They through more than a million dollars into this race at the last minute trying to keep he ahead in this race. Interestingly in this poll, you're seeing right here. Stacey Abrams democratic candidate for governor. Leading in this district by a point so could Abrahams actually ended up having an effect helping Lucy MacBeth the democratic heated here next door, the seventh district again suburbs. Just outside Atlanta. Traditionally Republican Trump though, did not do as well in this district as norm as Republicans normally do again poll this week showing the Republican incumbent they're only ahead by six head in this race. But it shows you in those suburbs. Democrats this is the kind of place if they get that extra burst of energy. This is one to keep an eye on potentially on Alexa. So it's the governor's race in Georgia. Couple congressional races to Bryant man that also handle race seems like it was ten years ago that was back in the news. Oh my goodness. Steve Kornacki, thank you for all of it. Look forward to seeing you the next time coming up a big news story that almost got by today. When the eleventh hour continues. The stock market is up on those forty percent since election. I think almost. 4._0._1._K's you'll look like a bunch of geniuses. Thank you, Donald very much. You're all great adventures, right? Last thing before we go here tonight is a situation that deserves watching as you heard there. This president is might tape proud of the stock market and deservedly so as it's been on a run reflecting an overall healthy economy, but amid the distractions of the coming midterm campaign say nothing of those targeted by bombs today, unless you're one of those people with CNBC on all day, it got by almost everybody unnoticed this evening that the Dow Jones industrial average has now erased all of its gains for the year and headlines like the one on the CNBC website tonight. Get your attention the selling on Wall Street, just won't quit. And here's how bad it could get. Well, the answer seems to be bad in part. They cite something called the fear gauge, the CBO e volatility index which happens to be at twenty five, and that's the highest. It's been this year since the mar. Spiked awhile back while it's true unemployment is at the lowest. It's been in decades output and confidence or both running high. There are also worries out there about interest rates about those tariffs on the resulting price hikes passed along to American consumers worries about the Chinese economy and the upcoming midterm elections. So if you're gonna Ford to hold on for a potentially wild ride and just to keep things fair CNBC also has a column quoting an expert who says a big market rally is coming that for us is our broadcast on a Wednesday night. Thank you. So very much for being here with us. Good night from NBC news headquarters here in New York.

"I just sort of glanced at my text messages. There's one from my wife, and I and all I saw what I looked at. It was I resent you. I resent it to you. For all these years. All right, go back put it out that open mic again. So I can give my response hair. Love the show. But you seem to be mystified by the libertarian party in its lack of success. And maybe I'm no political analyst. But maybe if Herman Cain. Rush Limbaugh and Hannity hadn't said Trump fifty thousand times per day for the last three years, and maybe mentioned Gary Johnson once we would have had a different turnout. No, absolutely. Not first of all. None of that matters. When you factor in. The idea that Gary Johnson was a horrible candidate. No part of America would have wanted him to be president United States, and that just wasn't going to happen. So you don't do that. You don't expect anybody to give you anything I would say in life, but definitely in political campaigns. It's your job to go out there and be create a thing. That's so powerful and interesting and growing that demands that it'd be reported upon. You know, a lot of the. Free press that Trump took advantage of early whereby outlets thought he was a clown. So they thought oh, there's no way he can actually win. But he's great for ratings. So we'll have him on all the time. And they had because they have no connection to what he was talking about it all things like a border wall and things like that. They had no idea that every time they were having him on for ratings. He was turning people into potential voters. Who were watching these shows and listening to these shows that's how he did it you have to go get the presidency of the United States. I would suggest that the libertarian party. And libertarians stop thinking about the presidency. Or the governorship in reality. I mean run people, and maybe if you can get someone like Trump a personality a character who can fund their own campaign. Yeah. Run for president with libertarian ideas. But I've got an idea what about city council. No. Ted mets. They've never done that focus exclusively on getting statehouses in congressional seat. That's why you do it. Right. That's the way you do it. If you want to build power, you do it at the state level you start Ted. You give me a shot here. No. You win is a is a libertarian candidate. And a house district in year that house districts Representative for ten years, and then you can go for governorship or Senate absolutely work your way up or like, I said you need you need a Trump like figure. I don't mean. He believes all the same thing. Trump is a libertarian do it. Everything can be done with him. If Trump if Trump. Is that going to be your best? It's everything everything. It'd be done. We you build a wall. With the battle. You get the hippies behind and talent like.

I I appreciate the fact that people could build a thirty five mile bridge over water. You couldn't get me on this bridge. If you put a gun to my head. You've gotta be kidding me. First of all the mate. How do you maintain? Due daily maintenance on a thirty four mile bridge. I'm telling you sooner or later, there's going to be a segment or to to buckles. Something's going to give way. You mark. My words. Oh, it might take thirty years, especially something's gonna go wrong with this bridge, especially they made it with Chinese steel and concrete. I think they've probably got the best in the world. I'm hoping but you're probably right. But you know, if you think about something like the Golden Gate Bridge. You don't really think about it? But that's I don't know how many people, but the the thing is maintained every day. There are people working on that bridge constantly to stay ahead of problems. It could be painting. It could be you know, putting in new bolts it could be changing the lightbulbs. But there are people maintaining the thing every single day. Once you start from one end, and you make it to the other end you have to go back you start over here. And you you have to have inspectors constantly inspecting the thing. Now, this is this is as if you took twenty Golden Gate bridges end to end, how do you maintain thirty four miles of sea bridge side. I'd tell the Chinese right now. The answer's no if they're gonna offer sometimes when you open a bridge. Yes. Something like that. You you call up some of the more famous radio people in the world, and you have come to your bridge. So you could spread the word. I just wanted to no offense. But you're not getting me on your heavily rich. Have you taken seven mile bridge to key west? No, I haven't why not. Well, didn't I just tell you why this was thirty five miles seven mile bridge. Seven seven miles is still scary for me. I took. There was one in Louisiana.
