"I've got some time. I'm gonna dedicated to that. I've been. I've been watching like ted lhasa and stuff like that which is absolutely family. Show you so zach. I said the season finale yet though. So no spoilers. I'm still i'm still towards the beginning of season two. I will give the resident evil series. That i think the first run a apocalypse. We're all right. And i think like after the one set in the desert like i think that's when the wheels came off for me i just just the stupid thing was because i watched all those movies. I kept watching them in theaters. Just like wishing something change. I don't know. I don't. I guess under perfect customer. Still got him dude. It's a psychological thriller at actually comes out Tomorrow on sale on steam. And i think it this so far and again. This is still very early for me. Game wise and i also had issues at to go back in and do some recording at basically start over my had reset my controller my controller or all kinds of drift and mike buttons were inputting correctly so i had a of a time so far though i have been enjoying the story. It's it's it's weird. I'm not one hundred percent again. I'm only about an hour deep into it. So i'm only now starting to uncover the mystery is if you know anything about me i do. I am not a horror game player. i don't like them. They make me feel weird. I like freaking out like that. But i am. I'm enjoying this. And i'm hoping with this being more of a psychological thriller that it you know it's not like about all the the scares and things like that so i am enjoying the story and Yeah you you could check this game out here on the twenty eighth. I'm playing it on playstation. Five is is what. I'm playing it but it's also i'm pc. Like i was saying it's on seem. I can't remember exactly what the price pricing wise What it looks like on steam. "Realize i'm coming from a very specific perspective like i've had jason today. Kaz and brendan hunt on my podcast. I've gotten to know them a little bit. I just think it's a really surprisingly good st- just show in terms of storytelling in terms of the main themes at a time when the us especially over the last few years has been under trump at least very anti foreign countries other countries. And i think ted lhasa has brought back the idea that americans can bring something positive to the rest of the world And i want to oversell it but because it's just a fun show. I don't think it's changing humanity. But i think at. It's come at a time during the kovic situation. When i think people also wanted to see something like that and it's a crazy ridiculous premise and so i'm just surprised that they've been able to take this crazy ridiculous premise. That doesn't make any sense in real life and actually make it into a show that has a lot of humanity and it. And i've enjoyed that. Yeah there's a sweetness to which i again lot the first series more than i did. The second series is a sense that you say. It's not really about football. I've a working theory that we've sports films is if i know the sport. I won't like the film. Which so i like baseball films because i don't know based worn account. See the joins in any football just annoys me too much to watch. So that's that might be a bit of it and the other is the. They juxtaposed the sweetness with the sort of swearing in the an crudity and the rest of it which sort of jar sometimes. But that's a minor point governor who is supposed to be sitting here. If i'm sitting here with my twelve year old daughter. She could watched ninety percent of it. But then talking about wanking and as i've had friends of mine ask if they're six-year-old with like it and that's actually a hard question to answer for the same reasons you're bringing up and so i get that but i would say for adults. I do recommend it and i'm curious to see where the show goes. Is it more than a sort of marginal piece in america is it bigger than that as atlanta. It's bigger than marginal and just this week. This was the show. The dominated the emmy awards for the best television in america so it certainly has reached a big audience clearly. They've got much bigger budgets for the second season. When you look at the guests who've come on they had gary lineker interior on on last week. They have clearly. They're paying a lot of money for licensing great music. And so it's it's something that i don't think anyone really predicted would get this big and it has an obviously. You're gonna get big a bit of a backlash from some quarters as you get bigger and bigger. It's a real thing. yeah. I'm not ted lasso basha. That's even thing go the scope. We can't say that. I wanted to like him on a data. Anyway was okay. It's been great. Chantey really enjoyed it. Where could find you. What can they do so many different things going on. Where i suppose i could link to the newsletter would be the easiest price would yeah grant wall dot com w. ahl and that's.

"Be consulting which is performance psychology from and the founder and director of the non for profit wisdom. Not we talk about her roots. Ghana working with athletes versus executives. We talk a bit about what the media gets wrong when talking about mental health and athletes. Why it's important for athletes to talk about an acknowledged their struggles but also be willing to get out there even if they're not one hundred percent social media's effect on athlete performance and a very blunt discussion about sex at the nba rookie symposium. Plus i ask her the question that none of my guests have yet been able to answer. Enjoy the interview. That's what she said so. I'm very excited to have this week's guest in part because mental health in sports has never been a big but also because she comes on the recommendation of one. George karl who apparently is started listening to the podcast. Probably because of his buddy terry stotts being on and recommending. That wendy is sort of like the new doctor from ted lhasa which is a hell of a pitch at a time. When ted laso couldn't be more popular. And especially according to more recent episodes as were getting to know more of dr sharon fieldstone We'll find out whether dr wendy the lobbyists is similar in many ways. That's just a good pitch. But either way i'll take it Let's talk about where you've got started. Because the bio is intimidating. The work is impressive. But you're just a normal person. You gotta start somewhere. So were you like as a kid what were you into. I'm i was into everything. Is sports the arts. So actually and that was because of i think my coming from another country some originally from ghana so i can the united states. I was almost four. And so my parents want us. You know it'd be americanized so they had to every single thing. We could possibly do so. I got into all of the things all the sports. All of the the arts stuck with basketball continued continued on. But i think. I've always been into which i got from my parents and finding is helping other people i was doing that Trying to figure that out you know at a young age. What could i do to help this person. Help this brand or do whatever so. That's always been part of my path as well. What did your parents do to help others. That model that for you..

So <Speech_Female> while we've been what we've <Speech_Female> been watching veronica <Speech_Female> mars people have been watching <Speech_Female> new <SpeakerChange> streaming <Speech_Female> content. <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> We <Speech_Female> have to get hip. <Speech_Female> Yes <Speech_Female> hip with the streaming <Speech_Music_Female> man. <Speech_Female> So <Speech_Female> we're starting. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> We're watching something <Speech_Female> that people lodged <Speech_Female> still <Speech_Female> quite some time <Speech_Female> ago. Yeah <Speech_Female> possibly over. <Speech_Female> Reveres the season <Speech_Female> to <SpeakerChange> have <Speech_Female> been a little shaky. Yes <Speech_Female> that is true <Speech_Female> but only in the building <Speech_Female> is <Speech_Female> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Female> sort of <Speech_Female> sort of because <Speech_Female> there's like what five episodes <Speech_Female> of it already <Speech_Female> something <Speech_Female> like just slightly <Speech_Female> behind <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> me sleep. <SpeakerChange> Yes <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> we're retro <Speech_Female> like that it's <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> so <Speech_Female> we will <Speech_Female> just keep going <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> Vein with these <Speech_Female> two half <Speech_Female> hours per <Speech_Female> week so next <Speech_Female> week only <Speech_Female> merged in the building. <Speech_Music_Female> The episode <Speech_Music_Female> to <Speech_Female> title is who <Speech_Music_Female> is tim. <Speech_Music_Female> Oh no <Speech_Music_Female> i think you say his name. <Speech_Female> Kono i think so. <Speech_Female> The <Speech_Female> murder victim <Speech_Female> And <Speech_Female> then ted <SpeakerChange> lasso. <Speech_Female> The episode <Speech_Female> is called <Speech_Music_Female> biscuits <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> which <Silence> has may now <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> needs cookies <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Female> in british <Speech_Music_Female> wrecked <Speech_Music_Female> <Speech_Female> so that <Speech_Female> that crazy <Speech_Female> differences <Speech_Female> in language <Speech_Female> rights. <Speech_Female> Much <SpeakerChange> mirth will <Speech_Music_Female> meet them. <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> Every <Speech_Female> episode. i think <Speech_Female> enjoyed his assessment <Speech_Male> of t. <Speech_Female> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> I aligned <Speech_Female> a cup of tea <Speech_Female> but there was a time in <Speech_Female> my life where. That's <Speech_Female> pretty much the way i felt <Speech_Female> about it. <SpeakerChange> Brown <Speech_Female> water takes us away <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> but the way he <Speech_Female> says everything <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> he's talking <Speech_Female> about how awful it is <Speech_Female> just with the <Speech_Female> biggest grin. <Speech_Female> Yes <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Female> yes an <Speech_Female> adorable performance <Speech_Female> is still end. <Speech_Female> He's made <Speech_Female> some bank <SpeakerChange> on this character <Speech_Female> so good for him. <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> Did you ever see <Speech_Female> the the tv <Speech_Female> commercial that <Speech_Female> apparently it's <SpeakerChange> based <Speech_Female> on he. I <Speech_Female> may have <Speech_Female> seen little <Speech_Female> bits of a. But i tend <Speech_Female> to be like doing <Speech_Female> stuff maybe with headphones <Speech_Female> on while my <Speech_Female> husband is watching <Speech_Female> sports so i <Speech_Female> see things more than <Speech_Female> i hear them. My <Speech_Female> husband was not impressed <Speech_Female> with those commercials <Speech_Female> is suggested he might <Speech_Female> wanna watch a whole series <Speech_Female> about that <SpeakerChange> character. <Speech_Female> He was like no <Speech_Female> no no thank you <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> off <Speech_Female> to look them up on <Speech_Female> youtube <SpeakerChange> thing. <Speech_Female> Yeah <Speech_Female> yeah that's a good idea <Speech_Female> i <SpeakerChange> will. I'll <Speech_Female> try do this well <Speech_Female> so <Speech_Female> on that. That's <Speech_Female> going to be it <Speech_Female> for around two today. <Speech_Female>

"Might need to go back and re record that entire podcast interview because we'd be selling him short four nominees in the supporting actor in a comedy. Category there from ted lhasa. So that would be. I mean you know obviously people talking about splitting the vote. But i think his chances are going to be greatly boosted by the great season at the writers are delivering for. Roy can season two and along the same. Yeah i i think that probably he is the most likely winner of that group. And so i think that does benefit him but yeah. There's there's always the chance that there could be a four way split and that something wacky would happen. And you know i don't i don't know and i guess that is enough for me that that there's a tiny bit of mystery there along the same lines is going to be hannah. Wadden cam. do we assume it will. I mean probably. She seems like the most likely winner to me for the second season. She's clearly the lead actress on the show which might give genetic juno temple a chance to win next year. Maybe but i think it's this one is really and truly gonna come down to the to hannah's to hannah water. Hammon nine binder from hacks. I think i would probably vote for hannah. I'm binder but i'm not sure it's it's kind of. It's kind of tight because to me. Both the hand hands really probably should be in the lead actress. Category and juno temple probably should win for supporting so yeah. I don't know but it's going to be a lot of ted lasso. Yeah all right. So let's talk about the drama next so drama series bridgeton lovecraft country posed the boys the crown handmaid's tale demand laurien. And this is us. Who's your winner. Personal preference may be for lovecraft country just for its its audacity and it's wild highs and also for the opportunity for additional confusion regarding whether it was really and truly a one season show and should have been a limited series or whatever i think that probably lovecraft country's best chance of recognition as we discussed last week is gonna be michael kenneth williams and and i really hope he he wins. I mean it will not be. It will not be the moment that it should have been. It should have been a moment for the industry to embrace this person who everyone loves and instead it's going to be this very very sad moment of of regret and and tragedy But also of putting out in the world karmic comically the love that the industry. How for him. And so yeah. I think that's where it's best chance is going to be but in terms of actual winning one. Could i guess pretend to make the argument that because the in one all of those creative arts emmys it. It might have a chance to pull an upset. I think if you go back to last year you would discover that it also had roughly that many going into the final night and then succession one. So it's going to be the crown. And i think that that's fine. I i wouldn't be my pick but you know my pick would be a sentimental pick for pose but that i don't think pose is gonna win but i think i think you're right. I think the crown there. I think poses best chance is going to you know billy porter and i'm jay rodriguez and i think that i think billy porter has a strong chance and i think that. Mta rodriguez. i think she could slip in and dot could be a a bit of an upset regardless it would be a great moment and so that would be notable. It would also wouldn't surprise me if if podcast guest stephen canals one for writing. That wouldn't that wouldn't shock me. I can imagine that happening and so those would be sort of opportunities to recognize a well liked show with a tremendous amount of cultural impact. And so i i wouldn't. None of those awards would make me unhappy. However mixed i was on the final season of oppose. So but i suspect it's going to be the crown winning a lot of things. I feel as if we've been on this sort of roller coaster with ted lonzo in the crown winning all sorts of stuff throughout and they did just both win awards. So yeah that would. That would not surprising. Let's wrap up here. Dan limited series or anthology is this. I mean it to me. It's a tough categories. I may destroy you. Maravilla town the queen's gambit the underground railroad and wanda division. It's incredibly tough category. Because these are the most part the best shows on tv as opposed to anything in the other categories this this unlike all of the winds for the mantle. Orien- is one where i feel like. Probably all of the craft wins. Four queen's gambit indicate. The people didn't forget that that show existed and it had been a long time since that one aired to me. A lot of the technical wins that it got last weekend. Really and truly underground railroad should have have gotten. And i say that as someone who loved queen's gambit but you know queen's gambit is a beautiful looking show underground railroad is a breathtaking show it is a. It is a piece of art and so queen's gambit. Winning percent of autocracy to me was a little silly. A lot of the the sound awards. For example the queen's gambit one definitely underground railroad should have gotten so. I expect the queen's gambit is going to win. i think that there's at least a chance that kate winslet. I'm strong chance. Because she's kate winslet could win for merb'ys town. Instead of andy taylor joy and that would be a minor disappointment for me but i think kate winslet is great so yeah i think i think it's going to be queen's gambit i think if i had an actual vote it would be may destroy you and maybe michaela coal wins for writing and that would be. That would be something. I i would guess it's got frank is going to win for writing also. I think it's gonna be a lot of queen's gambit. I think it could be a lotta the crown and i think it's gonna be a lot ted laso flex at we'll we'll have more next week. After we see the.

He's really annoying young that to manage show so phoning shows too hard to make you feel good. I heard the backlash. But i'm sure that that's coming up in new york. Jesus christ just won't shut up. How do you people like this guy. Fuck do all right. Everyone raised about this show. I watch is i. i guess. That's alright people will. Then you know what i'm not hip pretentious. Fuck like you. Y'all have something to respond to whatever negativity you're bringing in this situation. Oh well you ain't gonna bring ted down. Ted's gonna bring you right back up. Yeah he gets over there and he gets met with good old british sarcasm and just aggression and it just bounces off like anybody else would have been like. Fuck you guys. He doesn't let that happen. Yeah anybody would have been like especially americans. Yeah oh yeah yeah. America's would have been like. Fuck you you say. Hey would rub it in. Yeah but they meet many media in the whole country about why. Why a wakeup. And i'm not gonna say too much. But they he's been set up to fail when he's been called over to do this. And because these two different sports man. He's coached football not soccer. Which is their football so when they bring him over. And i'm not gonna have the details because you you know. The plays out throughout the series. But he's been brought over to pretty much just mess up. Man just messed the whole thing because he doesn't know soccer that's exactly why he's there because he's going to make the team moves in. The you know wasn't any jason davis. Yeah yeah i like him. Anyway so i'm already partial one of my favorite actors man. I've i am so happy for him because he was a net. Oh it jesse owens movie or something. He was he was in that he was so good in that movie man and he was one. His first time on. Doing dramatic acting are dramatic role in the movie. Just kind of all right and he got looked over for it. And i was like. It's been a better movie. Everybody talking about jesus today actor he is and so now. he's getting his chance. So i'm a little biased. Anyway because i like that guy so much. Now he's super talented. And he kills it here. Yeah but as mandated it. Don't get me wrong. Look unknown if you watch the show. I'm saying things you already heard. Let me just have my time. No corey the backlash is happening. You cannot have phony more before y'all let me just give you one last. Bit of ted lasso optimism before all these haters start trying to bring this showdown which you say. It's already going on. Because listen i'm going to be honest with you the way i really did start watching the show and get into. It is because of something stupid. I mean people now. This is probably was getting mad at the people. The the shows become so popular. Daddy just up. Stupid controversies over. So there's an award you all right martin. I want you because you're going to get you're going to do one thing you roll your gonna look at me like i say it's like it's my fault. Y'all been worn. I really have my interest. Pete because of some stupid has articles out there talking about one of the actors. Here brett goldstein. They say you know something. We don't even believe he's human. He's cgi people at this and he looks like a character from fifa to like. I saw this today. Facebook on facebook. And i've seen this read this and look i'll be honest with you. Is i say silly. But a looked at the pictures. Like i can see it. Yeah i kind of can't tell me if you've seen footage of the story mode. It's like look pretty realistic. And now it's like yeah. I.

"I didn't i didn't notice the horns in the ways that they had the runs kind of spread out mark. I kind of thought more as you know. The whole the ted lhasa was talking about was terrain chaos and disorder down in the opponents. And if there's one man who is the god of chaos as we've seen from his recent series it would be low-key indicates jonathan lewis mark. Fantastic the we have seen him. Start games start games. Well we haven't necessarily seen him like im- borderline impose his will to where he has single handedly dictating how. The game is being played by both teams. We've seen him off the bench in the seventieth minute usually at home occasionally against weak opposition on the road or the rapids are really trying to chase the game. We haven't seen him do that. In that level with that level of intensity and that level of quality in the opening twenty minutes and then he remained to be effective. And i think it was just understandable given the direction that team was going. And also maybe a little bit of pragmatism from robin. Which i didn't i didn't necessarily like i didn't but agreed with in the second half ultimately make the subs and understandably michael barr hasn't been a regular ninety minute player on this so you throw in another player. Ob younger one but a player who doesn't have a good track record of being a ninety minute player. I don't i don't fault. Jonathan lewis being subbed out on sixty. Six minutes wasn't an indication that he was done. It was an indication the has done his job and he was now putting the guy something in for him. Borrow some rubio at the same time to see the game out effectively in terms of set pieces again we're extremely effective for the colorado rapids andrea senior cheeky said after the game. Like it's not just luck at this point. Like the what chris sharpie is doing that principles that they're trying to apply the scouting that they're doing on opponents and everything the fact that they're tweaking things a little bit for each and everything. This is extremely effective. We wanna talk mark about how the colorado rapids don't have a star player when it comes to a playoff game at sporting kansas city at seattle sounders potentially. Mls cup at gillette stadium rainy in late november. In early december against bruce arena's revolution of they have carlos he'll have a niccolo darrow and everything. I would argue the colorado rapids have store who in key moments can single handedly changed the game with a great offensive. Output leads to a goal that star is set piece opportunities for the colorado rapids. Star is corner kicks for the colorado rapids. They have an effective way in which they score regularly. It just so happens to be that effective way of scoring isn't just passing to railway. Or i'll on polio. Surprise surprise. let's move on to bad things. Mark the officiating. What the heck was going on with the three. Pk shouts that. We had you know in the tenth minute. Obviously it goes to the end up getting right. The fourteen minute with cool bali. I thought was a stone cold penalty. Mark i don't see how even allie galax ellie galaxy. Homer could look at that and say at least fifty fifty. It's worth going to the monitor to review..

He really seems to like it. I guess because it's just a giant sea of green and and you know the only thing that daddy actually cares about Maybe that draws him in a little bit but he is now watch more soccer games. The age of almost seven months than i had by the time i was twenty six years old. Yes you came to. You came to a very late. I i watched a game with my five and three year old. And i thought they would be excited for it. And the only thing they liked was when a player got hurt and the doctors ran out and sprayed their their ankles. They thought they thought it was amazing that they were just like doctors on the scene there cleaning him daddy. They're tweeting up so twenty nominations for ted lhasa. There's this show you both star in a right on a created and morning of i mean you guys. I think probably had some hope that there will be some nominations. You couldn't have imagined it would be twenty. How did you find out the news Well yeah i mean. We don't all right in the previous ones. You know this season so we'll probably get one or two But i was hoping to sleep through it because then i don't worry about nothing and Again i have signalled at that time so he had other plans So at that point of having my cheerios cheerios and keeping him alive and like all right. Like the guy's got to wake up and realize that you're his son plumber. I know that's other twitter. Oh a little bit was worse. They have family and they say. Make sure you don't tell your brother. I said this before. It's funny when they ask on hank's about his brother in interviews and he just kind of laughs inside and then very nice about it. Not playing the gathering golos so where he should be emceeing. Stevo you got. Yeah fair enough times. I'm so mad that i kind of liked his saw. Like i hate myself kind of like. I just didn't i didn't hate it. Played it. i'm like oh damn it. It's not terrible. It is great. How great said certified fire. Yeah that's immediately got on the radar. What if based on the animated comic series what if it has a percent on rotten tomatoes showdown the yesterday he did. Yeah so the egg is in the white socks laying on the field of dreams field in iowa tomorrow and guy fieri taking them to flavor town. I don't know about this one. You guys thing. I mean it sounds pretty gross. Yeah it is it sounds off. It's a dog apple pie so it's a mash up. They said because there's nothing like jamming together to timeless american conditions. Say menace. i understand what you're thinking. Salting sweet yet but like so a lot of times when they announced something my cradle. Sedaka whatever pizza. It's not his people. Get like the idea of tomato sauce and mozzarella and cross and everything else. But no really. It's just like a desert went with chocolate drizzle instead of the tomato sauce. And there's no geez something else apples in this thing this tool hot dog. It's a hot dogs. Apple pie smothered guys homemade bacon. Jam and apple filling placed inside a rectangular shaped pie crust. Sort of like a pop tart with a hotdog in the middle with apple mustard brown sugar and apple pie. Spice who's the one who know who's loves the slice of cheese on the apple pie that rabi. It's not uncommon for him really similar to that guy calls it a funky throwback snap. What are we throwing back. When did we have this in the past. Maybe throw up. Throw back okay. That's for sure. Let's just try it and see how okay. Yeah you make it up like leg guy and we'll see if we go to flavor town so you think chad hanks is a moron. This is crecy in full effect. There's a vocal group of anti vaccine who've co opted. The will smith zombie movie. Two thousand seven. I am legend loudly. Saying it was a vaccine that caused the mutant plague in that movie and therefore they will not be getting the real life vaccine right. This is big enough and loud enough that the new york times just wrote a big article about instead screenwriter of i am legend akiva goldsman working from the nine hundred fifty four novel. Hotdogs funky throwback snack akiva said. Oh my god it's a movie. I made that up. It's not real and according to the movie which is easily verifiable by watching. It can see that what caused this. Zombie outbreak was a genetically engineered measles virus that they thought could treat cancer and ended up pretty much wiping out. The world of humanity just Just the same thing Reuters even publish. The fact check refuting ascertains. Suggesting of vaccine was the cause after anti vaccine started spreading this. I am legend narrative in one. Thousand hundred you're going to youtube for doctors on you I am lacking looking for real life real life direction being very helpful eight. Oh five texting over more vaccine indoctrination. Oh good dude. You want to associate with the likes of chad. Hanks these i an idiot. It's free usurper fun. I want to associate with my brother-in-law it's in great. They just aren't the same places. Fifteen year old daughter does. Is that embarrassing. But like he's like the manager right. He's the boss nepotism any higher right. I'm not really sure. If he's the manager both work at a pizza place say goldensohn goldman sachs or something. Mayo clinic now. No but a hardcore conspiracy guy man. It wears by wife out like a team. I am legend team for sure. So we know. The president obama had to take back several invitations for his sixtieth birthday party over the weekend. You're invited now. you're not invited. We yesterday the emmys announced that they are taken back invitations. As well limiting the number of nominees who will be allowed to attend on september nineteenth. Scaling back the ticketed attendees meaning nominated teams of three or more. You can bring four in. That's it so you know. Sometimes like if ted lhasa for example wins best comedy which it probably will. There's like twenty eight. Yeah now it can only before. Yeah and the said they're not going to pick and choose here. Ted lasso years your four decide who can go To the emmys. So this will pretty much of scrubs go because they just pulled names out of this will affect the shows that have twenty or more nominations like ted lhasa. The mandatory delorean wanda vision. The crown shows like that. The emmys are also being moved. Outdoors are going to happen in this big outdoor space near staple center in la four per nomination name see. I'm saying so that that way you know who's ever involved in that particular Aspect of it. If it's a writing thing. I still be big. That obama party thing people try to make a big deal about that. You guys think that was a big deal and he had his party now. I don't like what they're saying. It was outdoors. Okay so and everybody either had a vaccination or a negative test so they say wouldn't anybody else in this room do the same thing i've been gone to it this party or gathering last like some kind of wedding or something awful. That's different indoors outdoors. I'd be trying to tent outdoors. That's if that counted is outdoor. Dining me again. If i got the invite i'm going eric. Eric do is the only one that was able to sneak into cellphone. Get the get some footage. I think it was like steven spielberg and tom. Hanks really the only two white people that got every time they would mention the guest list. It was like you know Beyond saying jay z and john legend and chrissy teigen and there. And.

"Now there we got it technically exists. Yeah yeah it was. They didn't even announce it. Maybe that again in the next iphone. It'll be it's wild. Do i have now i. I was actually 'cause that's something i haven't actually checked in the last couple of days yet. I haven't tried the reverse charging. And i was looking to see if i had occasion front of me where i couldn't i count y- you can charge your app called Count you think so but actually let me let me check that. Because my dad's a wireless air or yeah wireless air pods charger completely. Not even plugged in that is. That's that's why. I didn't even figure you'd be able to do that but it's something something's talk about like you said i think is the let's though i think for the i think next time apple should have one. That really does just okay like this it. Basically it covers the attendant portion of the back of the iphone to of many. Let's make it so it just comes up. It has just a little bit extra better. That comes up here and it's just a little knob and the rest of the iphone round the round the camera house. Yeah could make that way that way. We once the the many phones are gone. We can remember them forever by the yet by the battery. Pack breath so low memorial man. All right let's move on because we've got some it's you know it's the summer rumor season truly because we have some more reports this week about what we're gonna this fall probably see this fall. Actually you know what seeing out in our in our show notes that actual thing. That definitely happened that i wanna talk about a little bit. I is say. Ted lonzo ted lasso when all cast and i want to watch the show notes. We've got to talk about ten right. Yeah no we're going to. We're going to push the rumors back just very slightly in. We're going to talk a little. Bit about ted lasso. Because season two premiere was well for me. It was this morning out thirty minutes ago literally finished it right before the show. It's good. it's so good. I miss this show One of the things that. I'm learning from the internet though from twitter is that a lot of people were not paying attention to how apple releases its shows relate with. People surprised only one episode lot of complaints that it wasn't a binge to which i say. Ha i i am. We knew that we knew that us. We thought we knew that. Apparently less time i think there was three episodes. I yeah but also one of the things that you probably that you've got to remember. Is that a lot of people. Probably got into the show after it was. Yeah exactly like descent. Like november december. People get used to benching and they want bench. The and i'm not going to say that they're wrong for wanting that but i'm also not going to say for wanting you're wrong when i grew up with you had to watch tv when it was on and if you missed it you missed it to even. I'm old enough to remember those days. He had three channels all. Tv's were like twelve inches. Was that a little set a little after your time. Bigger than than twelve inch. Tv's but but i. i had cable. And i it depends on what part of my childhood because part of my childhood was spent overseas. When i had zero or one channel's yeah a large my childhood so i hadn't even less than most an. I grew up the same way that you had. I mean i think we've probably had a lot more channels in my childhood but still you had to tape things if you wanted to watch things again immediately yet to tape them. Vcr i didn't have a vcr. I don't remember having vcr. Maybe maybe my senior but definitely not not before that but yeah. It's just so interesting so many people we've gotten used to the bench model and what is fascinating to me of. All the big players will include apple. Tv plus as a big player for the purposes of this discussion at least but net of all the big players net flicks is really the one. That's hanging onto benching yeah Because hulu releases who who generally does the thing where they release like three episodes and then the rest of them are weekly Like a little bit. I do like a little mini binge. So if we had like episode one and two today for ted lhasa. That wouldn't have been bad. But i like the i mean there's definitely something to be said for spreading out. It certainly depends on the show like the tick loss. For example a loss was i call lost the last show before binging lost was my life for seven years like you understand. I lifted. I would watch an episode. I would immediately go online and there was like this chat room that i love. It was called television without pity. Thinks existing are you there. I would be on there for hours after the show discussing every nuance of the episode. And like all week. I would be checking back in the chat room and seeing like if anybody could come up with new theories and i mean it was it like i. I feel like. I've really lived in that place for seven years and now people life. The most people won't even try to budget if they missed it. They're like oh it's too many episodes forget it. I'm never watched that. And if they do try a lot of them can't get through it they're like it's just too much and a lot of some people that did get through are just like it was okay like the us. You didn't do it right. you didn't do it. You didn't have so you didn't have the the the season three. Hell avis where it was the first six episodes and then six months until episode seven. And i swear. There was over a year between seasons outset. Set some between season five and six. I think between the the second last and last season there was there was a big app. It was like just the sweets torture or the screaming get serenely white and then for the first time ever we had a dark loss title and then we waited over a year for it to get your right. Game of thrones with closest to that experience. I've had since then was definitely game of thrones because they parcel out the episodes the differences that people a lot of people did not watch game of thrones at real time. So you still couldn't talk about it because there was always somebody in the crowd that hadn't seen that episode yet and you didn't want to spoil. It has to be careful spoiler when it was lost. Like i don't even remember what time it Everybody watched it when it was live on. Tv everybody worrying about spoilers. You're right now. There are so many shows you can benched like we can have a couple of and i like the you know. Fridays ted loss. There wasn't a single apple products on the pages just blue kind of makes a comeback ted lassos face streaming here like for apple to like to to cover up. Its website like that. Like they know that they're onto a winner and it's far and away like the most popular show the channel on on the i. I felt like when apple. Tv plus was first introduced in the morning. Show is supposed to be like the big flagship series on religion. Hong kong And yeah and they have all these big budget shows and then tomaso just snuck in. I don't think apple expected that to be their big hit and it just caught on fire them commercials for nbc sports. No i don't think anyone would have a crazy idea. But now they know they're they're milking it for all. It's worth and good for them. Actually i just think ted loss was just the right show at the right time People i it was just it came out like towards the end of the pandemic Feel good when we feel..

Okay move on from comedy specials but you should. What do you think of comedy specials. In general i fun thing to watch. I feel like i. That was a weird phase in my life. That i am no longer in comedy was kind of like yes. Do not laugh. Hardly ever i never. I never really seek up watching stand up specials like i rather go see something in person Of course i live in a place for that. Some of the best stand up in the world of so i know that's like kind of The luxury i watch. I watch bo burnham specials when they when he has one which is only like three times in a decade. But i watched bad taste the other one i watched recently was the dave chapelle one. I think that was the last one. I watched that i have in the last year other than that I don't know yeah. I i used to my dad really like standup. I like stand up to. But i never really ever sit down to watch a special like. That's just not like i'd rather watch like a scripted. Show And i used to not watch a lot of comedy. But lately i've i've i've started watching a lot more just like half hour comedy but no specials are not really my thing do you. Do you like the moammar. I know you said you aged out of it but you go back for an astrologist sake. Not not a ton. I just breeze recent restarted watching a lot more of the mitch. Hedberg stuff that exists. From like i feel like that was my heyday in that stuff and then i haven't really connected with much of it lately. Yeah i feel like. I want to. But i don't know why would you. I don't know. I don't know. I wanna laugh this going to be happy i mean like i laugh at at like i will watch the shit out of a shitty sitcom like even the cheesiest sitcom i'm super down to just like turn my brain off and go dive into what's super cheesy sitcom frio. What does that mean Right now because i have a subscription of paramount plus. I've been watching one called the neighborhood that has has schmidt from oh new girl. Cedric the entertainer. And it's like it is as by. The book says that she can get the railing. But i i'm still watching c. News something just to have on and it's funny at times but it's offensive at the time and then you just go through a rewatch of new girl right where you told me that i watched that like a cow's man new girls so it's so good i i haven't seen all of it but i remember staying with a friend. I don't know if i was drinking or not. i might have seen. I haven't i gotta at behind on a lot of things that i'm just quickly catching up on. But why am rewatching what we do in the shadow. So i guess not really so bed but i come and soon back on september second. It's on this week. I still gotta finish ted lhasa. Omar put me on ted lhasa last year bond he goes. You need to watch lasso and it literally came out. You're like yeah. I just watched it and then i watched it and i was like i remember. He'd be like this is so good. I feel so good. It's so funny that that it's having the success it is because that was a pre existing jason's today is character that he on like nbc sports or seven years ago of him. Playing ted laso like a short throw away feing. It must have been nbc. I think he was with us now at the time so he would just be like people are divided by different Seem like super positive person character. I think it was. I haven't seen all of them. But i think it was a lot of like kind of like hick character talking about soccer so i have a quick question is it is going to be in london again or like england again. I haven't finished the first season. Oh okay we won't spoil the spoiler and it was part of the term for me is a you know he's this. American like was in england. The trailer has all the same characters and stuff okay. It's ahead lasso going on the road now. This is the tv segment. So we'll listen to these segments Have you ever watched crazy ex girlfriend. I've seen the first episode swinging. Lasko fina ray yet. yeah gra. it's good all right. Thank you would like this show. I i try to watch that show. I watched a few episodes of the first season. The singing is too much. It's very clearly something that's not for everyone I was such a hater. He's great. I mean she. She pulled off a lot. Yes that's like all her. Yeah she's so funny I was gonna say there was one scene from new girl but made me laugh so hard. I cried and sick. And it's i don't even remember if i sold a whole episode but i think schmidt gets overwhelmed by something like he finds out that his girlfriend like dated another women they now and he just blacks out and starts moving his hands and they're like what's he doing. It's oh when he gets overwhelming. He does the snare solo from drum. Y and he's just moving his hands around with these imaginary sticks and he just he's so funny and commits so well and joke is so out there that it destroyed me. I was incapable of even watching the rest of the episode. I was laughing so it's one of the still to this day. One of the funniest things. I three watch the show. I think three times. Maybe total since like i ended and i feel like i might be about starting fourth. Oh it's just. It makes me laugh every time i may. I may have to get on board with that. I'm going to watch to watch through on making me. i gotta watch it at all. I've never seen those characters off. Like blake really review. Other shows can pull off while we can't talk about lost. And i feel like that's where any of these conversations lost way too much at the bottom of the spiral definitely partially to blame for that box. Set well lonzo. One video edited. That i went heavy on the lost. Like overlays jokes and stuff was because john was Getting he was relaxing. He's getting heat from patrick. 'cause.

"Ted <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Male> <Music> <Advertisement> <Silence> <Speech_Female> laso <Speech_Male> you wanna you <Speech_Male> wanna knock <Speech_Male> out there into the universe <Speech_Male> before <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> before <Speech_Male> officially in this <Speech_Male> thing. There's a lot <Speech_Male> of the <Speech_Male> just talking about <Speech_Music_Male> that when you were talking about. <Speech_Music_Male> Things could happen with <Speech_Music_Male> rupert things that <Speech_Male> happen with roy. <Speech_Male> Can't <Speech_Male> there are ways that <Speech_Male> in english <Speech_Male> football these lower <Speech_Male> division clubs can <Speech_Male> still play clubs <Speech_Male> in the upper division. There <Speech_Male> are a lot of there <Speech_Male> are a couple of different in-season <Speech_Male> tournaments that <Speech_Male> are played among <Speech_Male> members of <Speech_Male> the football <Speech_Male> association in <Speech_Male> england And <Speech_Male> some of <Speech_Male> which are played <Speech_Male> exclusively <Speech_Male> by members of the english football <Speech_Male> league so there are ways <Speech_Male> that we <Speech_Music_Male> can bring some <Speech_Music_Male> of these premier league teams <Speech_Male> back to the table. <Speech_Male> We don't have to spend all our <Speech_Male> time in the championship <Speech_Male> this season. <Speech_Male> There are other competitions. <Speech_Male> They can play in. <Speech_Male> I would <Speech_Male> imagine <Speech_Male> if we're talking about <Speech_Male> the lower division. We're <Speech_Male> going to examine some <Speech_Male> aspects of that. <Speech_Male> If the premier league <Speech_Male> didn't make sense <Speech_Male> to ted i <Speech_Male> got to imagine <Speech_Male> what's happening in <Speech_Male> the championship is not <Speech_Male> gonna make sense <Speech_Male> and all the various <Speech_Male> competitions that <Speech_Male> we didn't really scratch <Speech_Male> the surface on <Speech_Music_Male> that. If you're a club <Speech_Male> that you'll be participating <Speech_Male> in throughout the season <Speech_Male> so. I <Speech_Male> think we're probably going to see <Speech_Male> some more of that. I think we're <Speech_Male> gonna see the show stretch. Its <Speech_Male> legs in <Speech_Music_Male> terms of what it exposes <Speech_Music_Male> about the <Speech_Male> english game a lot <Speech_Male> more than we <Speech_Male> did in season one <Speech_Male> and so i'm <SpeakerChange> looking <Speech_Male> forward to that for sure. <Speech_Male> Awesome all <Speech_Male> right. I'm really looking forward <Speech_Male> to digging into this. It was <Speech_Male> so much fun <Speech_Male> to just crush <Speech_Male> the season of ted lhasa. <Speech_Male> The other day <Speech_Male> as i was watching. I'm so <Speech_Male> happy to be back in <Speech_Male> this world. It's <Speech_Male> pretty clear to me as we <Speech_Male> have a slightly <Speech_Male> longer than two hour. <Speech_Male> Run time <Speech_Male> talking through all <Speech_Male> season. One of ted lhasa <Speech_Male> that there is just <Speech_Male> much meat on the <Speech_Male> bone antonio <Speech_Male> tons to talk <Speech_Male> about with characters <Speech_Male> with the themes <Speech_Male> with the story line of <Speech_Male> the various jokes <Speech_Male> just such a rich <Speech_Male> show. And i'm <Speech_Male> really really pumped <Speech_Male> to explore it <Speech_Male> all. We will start <Speech_Male> doing that as soon <Speech_Male> as this. <Speech_Male> First episode <Speech_Male> of season two <Speech_Male> drops july twenty <Speech_Male> third. We'll be back <Speech_Male> a couple of days after <Speech_Male> that with <Speech_Male> our recap of season <Speech_Male> two's premier. <Speech_Male> We will be here <Speech_Male> every week. Talking <Speech_Male> through the second <Speech_Music_Male> season of <Speech_Music_Male> ted laso <Speech_Music_Male> until next time everybody <Speech_Music_Male> take <SpeakerChange>
