"Kansas City, they're back and forth and the rest of the conference is pretty much just stuck in the rest of the mock right there. So I don't know about the ceiling ultimately. I will say that this recent stretch of the four game win streak, it does make me feel better about the Tampa game and the Dallas game. When we said, oh, well, maybe they're just kind of, you know, maybe this happened during that game. Maybe that happened. I think now you look at that in context, you say, no, okay, now you feel pretty good. They're 6 and four. They play two of the top teams in the NFC, tight and could have won both of those games. So I think overall when you look at this team compared to the rest of the league and especially the AFC, I don't think there's much separation between them and everybody else right now. Will that be the case in a month? I'm not so sure. Looking at this win Greg, at least I felt different about this win versus, you know, the win against the jets and some other wins that we've seen recently. Did you feel much different about this win versus others? I did. And, you know, in watching the film back, it became a little bit more clear that the difference in this game and the difference in my opinion to the way Mac Jones looked because I don't care what happened on Sunday. I absolutely stand by the fact that Mac Jones had plateaued whatever hit some sort of rookie wall in the previous three games. Give the kid credit, he pushed through it. I mean, that's really what ultimately happens in an NFL rookie's career is the guys who play a lot. At some point you're gonna be challenged. And are you going to push through or are you going to give in and just sort of, you know, shrink the rest of your rookie season and then come back for you next year. Give Mac Jones credit. I think he realized what was going on. Josh McDaniels. And he pushed through it. But here's the clear difference to me in this game. Nick was was the offensive line. And I'm not talking about them, they were really good. Certainly Trump Brown made a difference. I will say like Isiah win did not play well in this game. So it wasn't like the and look, David Anders and Ted careers sometimes had their struggles. It wasn't complete domination up front, but this was the difference. They protected much better in this game. I mean, both in terms of the stats that I keep, the total quarterback pressures, the pressure percentage, the run stuff to loud. The Patriots hit season low, clear season lows in both in this game. And to me, Mac Jones was comfortable in this game. I think some of it was the browns, the browns aren't exactly exotic in what they do. The Patriots took care of the guys that you need to take care of on the browns defense. And he was not rushed all them. He was hit four times in the game. Yeah. There were some quarters where he was hit four times games this season. And this is part of the reason why early on in the season people are saying this about Mac Jones, and he's not going deep down the field and he's not doing that. And I never said anything. Because I saw the stats, almost every game this year, every game he's been pressured over 30% of the time. Most of the games it's been over 35 and for a pocket quarterback, that's a normally almost a death sentence for those guys in terms of their effectiveness..

Ted was one of the first guys to abby sports radio show in the market He used to do a nightly sports show on w. c. y. See why p. Worked with nancy in who most people know as the fabulous sports babe for for a number of years Just an absolute a peach of a guy And had been ill for a number of years. I've known ted and it's it's tough even mentioning him in the in the past tense So i tend to still talk about him in the present tense. But you know. I've known ted fifteen plus years now and you know. He had been on dialysis for quite a while he had been dealing with With renal failure yet Congestive heart failure he had been suffering from dementia for the last year and a half or so but You know a guy that loved you know. And i just wanted to to mention his passing because teddy was more than just a a colleague of mine at iheartmedia for fifteen years he was. You know a close friend Someone that i always trust would shoot straight with me A great sounding board. Whenever i wanted to do something You know i would always go. Hey what do you think of this. And he would go. That's good but i would recommend x. y. and z. And so you know. I just wanted to mention you know politics aside because you know the last twenty years of ted's career was all done you know in the in the news talk political realm and there's a lot has been made over the over the years you know his his fight with Reagan's son ron reagan. Junior where he basically told them to come down to the parking lot now any kick his ass You know ted was just a just an amazingly fun guy to be around Always had his little..

"Right. We'll come back. We'll come back we'll come back to. Gfc gmc football. Podcast is dj. Yangs first segment to give you all the news as usual so you caught up on most deciding that happened during the first couple days of the free agency signing you know the first chance that everyone gets at them legally so it's the first period for the legal tampering in a when people kickoff signing free agent or you got the general everybody else i now i will be getting into the patriots situation out there in foxborough man last episode. They might her me talking little miss. I guess just simply stating that things may be transitioning. It might be all over for the patriots in might be the new beginning of the kansas city chiefs nothing. That ain't nobody else talking about. So i don't feel like it's out there but just like i said it in like i said everybody else's it off. Tv shows Hey clearly they are hearing you a foxborough being who they are New england the fans the organization. Everybody over there you know having the statute they've had for quite some time now. I don't think they took a liking to what happened this past season. You know not being in the playoffs not making a run at the championship Most of them. I can't be with fans but clearly. The organization guy has gidon with the release. Tom brady the fans might be heartbroken. Who knows especially after seeing him win a championship but between bill team. I think they you're out here trying to make a statement. They have had. It would ever little personality. Folks are talking about here on these podcasts and more The patriots spent eighty one million in bonuses and guaranteed money on the first day of legal tampering. The first day that alone was more than they spend free agency and teen years. So there's beacon volumes here. They're telling you that they are doing what they need to do to get what they need to which i mean. They will not top five teams. Where cameroon but still they look. They said we got deep pockets and are going to use them. They are the one money out there. They are on the biggest shopping spree. We've seen a team Participate in in years. So what i'm gonna do is i'm i kick it up just saying the main the people that they've signed the first two days Just kinda how did in news get more deeper into what that team look like what they could possibly be doing this season. Alright so first. They signed former equal defensive back. Jalen meals minute okay jay. Leno's wonder eagles top defensive bags. They sign up for four years. Twenty four million nine million guaranteed. Okay just keep some stats from just this past season He has thirty four tackles one and a half sacks one forced fumble one recession okay. That's a solid stat law for a defensive back that played in the nfc east. Okay for sure all right. If you don't know jalen mills is. He was drafted back in two thousand sixteen to philly in the seventh round from lsu. Are i see young kids. Twenty six just turned twenty six. I'm sorry about adjuster about to turn twenty seven two hundred twenty seven next month But hey he has quick feet man. his guys. He has good hands. Like i said last season was you know sacks the one and a half sex time because they used him to get back there on a couple of bliss moves so we'll patriots in that way possibly because you're about to hear more about what they did on defensive in what they this defensive line But he has good history as far as five interceptions and even a touchdown for the team. So great pickup jalen hill. I like myself of. Can't we see all they will have him now Another big one. Which i think is the biggest one on the defensive side. They signed a former raven. Met juden for four years. Fifty six million. Thirty two million guaranteed. Yes thirty four point five sacks over his of i five nfl season. This man is a beast. okay Was drafting twenty sixteen to baltimore in fifth round out a grand valley state. Okay that is. That's already exciting. You know guided didn't go to huge program able to make it. This far makes such a big name for herself. Just last season fifty tackles on the season six sacks alone okay six sacks by himself he gets there he gets it done mad juden guy patriots have definitely answered their pass rushing pass rushing question martha they've had And got themselves big name at that you know. They're not used to having big names like that but they went got. Somebody bought some all right as a big pickup for them. Continue onto the d. Line all right again. Like i said. They are going off on his d. Line patriots sign x. Dolphin nose tackle. Dave von goethe gadgil. Two year sixty million dollars all right He has nine million guaranteed on this deal. I mean he's he's coming out a miami so clearly. They know you know how he plays. They must like what they see. A how you handle his business for them Also you know. He was limited in played limited to play five games last season because he has a torn bicep. So i'm guessing you know. Patriots are pretty much expected him to do better because prior to that He only missed one game. His first three plus seasons so They wanna see what he can do. Even with the limited games she still had sixteen tackles in those games that he did play he has three sacks thrives career Twenty seventeen fifth round a to miami So you know grade school that brings a lotta great defensive talent all right. so that is who Still keeping her on the defensive side henry anderson. Yes from the jets henry anderson. This one was a little surprised. i guess. But they signed henry anderson into Two year seven million dollars. He's offensive tackle when he was with the jets. I mean he did okay Half sack forty two tackles this past season. He has eleven point five sacks on his career once he got there because he was drafted to indiana With the colts out of stanford back in two thousand fifteen but once they got into the jets he did start picking up to get to them amount of sacks in the first place productivity as well but think he's definitely a good hold guy keep things from getting across be someone that they can use advantageously for you know run blocking and things of that nature okay continuing on the line Told you it's they are investing in this defense for sure. But i'm getting office. It's a we gets better all right. So patriots defensive linemen deatrich wise junior four years thirty million dollars with ten million guaranteed yes fourteen sacks in his four seasons He's been he's been on. New england says he was drafted back in two thousand seventeen in the fourth round. Two out of arkansas justice past season he had forty nine tackles two and a half sacks a fumble recovery. So i'm guessing they were pleased with what he has done for them Lately which is important and they wanna keep him around longer but yet that's pretty much all four of those guys defensive lineman that his name damas might be they're starting we'll see Believe that you know couple guys. They just don't plan on coming back in that case or something of that nature Which makes sense. That's probably why i got there But moving across the ball going to the offensive side all right. Pat sign another ex dolphin. Senator ted career cares on a one year for dollar deal which he was originally drafted by patriots. Who's on patriots. They drafted at twenty sixteen in the six round out of illinois. Okay and according to espn. Somehow we.

nine million sixteen tackles Patriots ten million four years Fifty six million Thirty two million fifth fourteen sacks five games eighty eleven point damas Tom brady seventh round one game five interceptions fourth round first chance fifty tackles

My whole soul is in this Bringing America together, uniting our people united in our nation, and I ask every American had joined me in this cause that Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gates, speaking to Sean Hannity says Biden's calls for unity are insincere to the eyes of conservatives. There are real consequences for our fellow Americans who are being erased in the digital space who are being Targeted in real life and in the flesh. We're entering a period of time where Joe Biden tells us to accept unity, but that unity appears to be at the expense of anyone who offers descent or disagreement. Texas Senator Ted Careers attended yesterday's inauguration, wearing a face mask that displayed the familiar image of the come and take it flag, which flew during the battle of Gonzalez and the Texas Revolution. Anyway, she posted a photo of herself in a school girl uniform, posing in front of a locker in a school on one of the likes. That she got on this. Instagram photo of herself was from the official instagram account of the pope. Oh, no. Apparently the pope likes this bikini model's photo, or, or at least somebody. It was like Blue Check the official pope account so either the pope is perusing instagram and clicking like on bikini models or and I think probably more likely someone who runs the pope's official instagram account. Eyes, Probably looking at photos that he or she should not. Look. Wow. I mean, come on, you had to know. Maybe they forgot for a moment Whose twitter profile they were on or something. "Their music changed forever. But there was a big failure in Ted's career. In that period, he thought the group Montrose was going to be the next big thing. He loved their guitarist and lead singer. Sammy Hager. But nothing happened. It also produced other albums with people like Carly Simon, Bette Midler, Little Feet Cheap Trick, but then in 1977, he was told to go to the Starwood in L. A You hear this young band Everybody had been raving about. Yeah, Van Halen and like everyone in L. A Ted was blown away. By Eddie Van Halen Sze guitar work. Ted did not care for their lead singer. David Lee Roth back, Ted said his singing wasn't great. His stage presence goofy and awkward at best. Don Landy, Ted, studio engineer. Agreed with him. This band could do much better. Now. That point Ted Templeton almost got Van Halen to dump David Lee Roth for Sammy Hager. Just as the Beatles had made George Martin laugh, which is only reason he agreed to produce them in the studio. David Lee Roth was enough of a clown and so much fun. Ted decided band should stick with him now. That didn't mean the dead one still a huge fan of Sammy Hagar. Yeah, he produced Sammy's biggest hit. And when the Van Halen brothers and David Lee Roth got to the point of hating each other finally, years after he first wanted to do it, Roth was out. And Sammy Hager was part of Van Halen. For the record. Years later, Sammy would leave Van Halen pretty much as angry as David Lee Roth had been since San both Roth And Hager have come back into the fold and leave again. It was Ted Templeton, who produced the album that relaunched Aerosmith career in the mid eighties. But there was one Van Halen song, but to this day Ted Templeton doesn't like more important, it was actually the song in the studio. That contributed to the toxic relationship with the members of an alien because the whole thing to melt down, maybe because Eddie had laid down all of the instrument tracks in the middle of the night in his studio. Roth would write the lyrics the next day, But most wanted Van Halen to be a real part rock band, and this kind of sounded like a mid eighties. Handsaw. That's right. Didn't Bean Van Halen tze on Ly number one record? Jump on the last time Ted would produce a hit album forthem. But at this point, it's probably a good time to remind you where Ted Templeton's career started. I'm Daryn Lancaster.

"Strangest thing happened. It was very clear that he wasn't telling the truth, and we repeatedly tried to get him to that by using an offering phrases, the exact things he had said with the ambassador and the conversations. As a former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Flynn knew his conversations with the Russian ambassador would be monitored. So it's the damnedest thing he knew you knew but is still denying it. I can't explain it. It sounds like the old Washington story. Cover up is worse than the deed itself into this day. I don't think we yet know the true story of what was behind General Flynn statements to us. Just keep that in your hands as we go forward is it's going to matter. All right, 809 for one. Sean, If you wanna be a part of the program, Sydney Powell's with US license still live big bestseller. A Russian Operative for over a decade, details to night But in the meantime, Sidney Powell joins us, Sidney, You know, I've been hearing all day out these rumors about you know Maur evidence in the Flynn case that is exculpatory and including texts and e mails. Can you shed some light on it? Yes, we've just received a 40 pages late last night that include pin written notes of Peter struck in written. That's a former deputy director, Andy McCabe. Internal text messages between FBI analysts who worked on the Flynn matter as additional text messages between struck in page that just Her mind blowing and how they evidence outrageous, deliberate misconduct by the FBI and the DOJ playing games with the life of General Flynn, a national hero. I mean, they say things like they were preferred unknown quantity of a Clinton, president of the wild card like President Trump Wass. They were deliberately shutting down the investigation of General Flynn as of November 8. We know now, and one agent said he was so glad they were closing it. Somebody was silent about it, so they didn't know what he wanted. We're wondering if that was Andy McCabe. Because they still have things redacted. That would be important. Another agent, sending you exactly how bad things were. I'm telling you, man, if this thing ever gets Boyd, we're going to base and we're going to have to tough questions after They even were so concerned about it. A bunch of them will now and got professional liability insurance to cover their misconduct. And it shows that there they issued requested national security letters to get general plans. Financial information simply as a ruse to get more time to keep the investigation against him won't doesn't Doesn't the insurance basically prove premeditation on their part? I would think so. They certainly knew that what they were doing was definitely wrong mean they acknowledge that they even acknowledge that it wasn't even a logical investigative next step to get financial records in the number of 2016. Then you this relationship with Putin was absolutely an open. It's just one thing after the other, and they even say if we're concerned about sensitivity or leaks, we might not want to send national security letters that we don't really intend on using. It's like, you know, I I listen to this. And you know, Sydney, we've got an election of 40 days and you've got every institution against this president. I mean, the force of the mob in the media, The Democratic party. I mean, you know, Kamala Harris be where this is not going to stop referring to what's going on in big cities all around the country. What we watched unfold in Louisville last night. And I'm watching, and I'm listening to defund the police. I'm watching people in Congress, You know, 29 times in election years, there's been Supreme Court justice vacancies all 29 times. The duly elected president appoint a successor and you hear the Democrats threatened to end the legislative filibuster packed the courts. Try and eliminate the electoral college. We can impeach Trump every day of the week if we want Nancy Pelosi. And I'm like, you know what? What has happened? To this country, then the abuse of power. What has happened? Four years of General Flynn's life has been ruined. And the evidence is overwhelming and incontrovertible that this was a conspiracy to destroy an innocent man, and they're even acknowledging it now. Um or you know President Obama on it, too. There's more discussion of the January 5th 2017 breathing of Obama. What does that say? How people were scrambling for information to support certain things, and it's a madhouse. Trump was right. It's still not put together. Why don't we do this to ourselves? What is wrong with these people? So I mean, at what point? I mean, Emmet Sullivan is the judge. In this case, He seems heavily vested now in the interest of the deep state. Not sure exactly why I have my suspicions. But I don't know why. And you actually praised him in your book licensed Ally Azul relates to his handling of the Ted Stevens case. By that time, Ted's career has already been ruined, and he's gone and You know, I'm trying to understand. How do they justify this? Why are we only finding this 40 days before the next election? Why didn't we find this three years ago has been hiding. And I think the FBI has fought to keep it classified tooth and nail and apparently is still fighting because I understand there's more to come. And, of course, another serious because I was still in other things out there that heard a story that we don't have. Yeah, but why's Director Ray so reluctant Eyes Director Ray so reluctant and resistant to do his job so they could have had it ya lot beyond had it. It's it's It's the behaviour of suppressing the evidence that is completely culpa. Torrey of General Flynn and Inculpatory of the People who framed him is itself obstruction of justice, and it's Lipping appalling. You know, I don't know what to say. I mean, words now escape me. Which kind of impossible for may. Sydney? I mean, I mean, this man's life has been ruined. Others lives have been ruined. Those that we have overwhelming incontrovertible evidence on premeditated fraud on a FISA court. We're going to get into the great details tonight. Apparently that sub source that the FBI interviewed of Christopher Steele they knew to be over a decade, a Russian agent You know, we see Hunter Biden's connections to Russian oligarchs, You know, transfers of money and sums of money. You know, Ukrainians and Russians and and deep deep financial ties to China, all while his father is VP, and he's making millions And yet the ability barely bats, an eyelash..

They were deliberately shutting down the investigation of General Flynn. As of November. 8 we know now. And one agent said he was so glad they were closing it. Somebody was silent about it. I want to see like some of these other quarterbacks that are out there and they make plays. I think that's the kind of thing that Rana there is going to challenge Dwayne to do. And the challenge for Haskins as Rob would. Four points out. You look at who the top quarterbacks are in the league. They're all dual threat. They're all guys who can beat you from the pocket. They're all guys that can get outside and create something. I mean, Dwayne Haskins. Maybe maybe in the mold of a quarterback that hearkens to a day maybe 10 years ago. "All right. The funny thing about Ted. I wanted to pick a song that. That that is a little bit that really proves the point that there's this. There's this kind of bad thin. Tom Sound that we get early on. And this is the thinnest album of them all, but but you know here we go. He produces a free for all. And another interesting he says here. Let's see if it's in in this quote. Kind of interesting might be in a different spot, but but he does say uh, somewhere here, my least fun. Albums are following up. A hit and album were falling. He hit so the first ten nugent album. He wasn't the producer, but but it was. It was somewhat. Somewhat of a hit a pretty big hit, but then free for all is the next one, and it doesn't do quite as good out of the gates on cat. Scratch fever is massive it basically makes Ted's career. It says most famous album, and then we can words. He does this one, and then he's gone again. You know in conjunction he's working with. Cliff Davies. The drummer who has no producer, he gets a terrible sound for himself and I think he gets up not a great performance out of himself. Either new fodder is in there. He's more like an overseer manager kind of guy. He's not really a producer either Let's see what he says about this, so so a weekend warriors, he says I mean my heart just wasn't in it. I was asked to go to Japan with cheap trick and I couldn't because we were finishing weekend, warriors in I didn't think it was good, and I wanted to go to Japan. He laughs, and that's when I said to I. Don't think it'd be good if we work together anymore. Anymore, because this is all sounding the same, but we remained good friends I just talked to Ted last week. Love Ted Let's see I didn't do a lot for Ted. In terms of arrangement, I did a lot for Ted in terms of sound and presentation and Song Structure so here he has been vague again, and if you're if you're kind of like, you know saying putting your hand up and saying I did a lot for Ted for sound. You didn't do a good job because it doesn't very good. Ted knew exactly what he wanted in terms of parts, he sang all the parts. All is musicians and he told everyone wants what to play. That's pretty cool so so. Tens of big part of the Ted nugent. Band and. We walked in the studio was released for me. I was more quality control than anything else so again I don't think he gets an amazing sound out out of this stuff, but you know. What can you argue with here? Tom Tom is the guy you know you know getting a a triple three home runs in a row, more or less with free for all cat, scratch, fever and weekend warriors. These were big albums for Ted. They might even be all platinum, but there at least all yeah I. I think they are I think they're all platinum or double platinum. Okay so so yeah. On that note, let's take a break. We'll be right back. All right back again here on history and five songs with Martin Popoff. We are talking about Tom and I have sausage. Named this episode, Tom Worm and twisted sister, but it's not really all about twisted sister, but it might be most about twisted sister and again. That's what inspired this episode. I'M GONNA I'll I'll know I'll leave that I'll save that for up for twisted. Let's go on tour next one so here we go. take a listen this motley crue. You might have heard of them with looks that kill..

"When we talk about your guard service, and we talk, and we see what's happening around the country, many states have called in the National Guard. Finally in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hundreds and hundreds of businesses are burned to the ground. Mayhem and chaos and violence and looting were going on. Finally, the governor walls brings in the National Guard. They come in. Things get settled down literally in about an hour. But I know that you that you think that there's a different role in and I want your opinion on this as a former guardsmen. It's not really up to the guard to go in there and keep the peace and sort of hold the area. That's up to the locals. Right. And what is your opinion about Anjali not calling the guarding yet for a place called Chazz or Chopper, Whatever it is. Well, I think he absolutely should call on the guard. I think the situation has gone way too far. Already, However, the National Guard is a great catch all on their very well around in force. But policing is not there. Specialty, and I think that they Could definitely assist the police in whatever they need When it comes to, you know, write control, but they should really. Ah, divert to the police. The police are the ones they're trying to deal with this kind of situation. And they just the National Guard should necessarily be the first choice when it comes to handling a situation like this, But it does seem like they're becoming more and more necessary as In Washington and Ensley let this situation go on. It's interesting Take because you and I spoke about this earlier, I thought the guard would go and clean it up and police come in and hold the area You're saying actually backward. Let the police go in there and do their job. If they need back up, the guard can be there. Absolutely. So what would that what With the job of the guard be then the police would sort of say this is where we need help, because I would imagine it's a national guardsman. You have a mission already Look of the mission be laid back until they say we need you. How does that work? Ah little bit of everything they could work is like a cure force Quicker action force and be there to assist the police. In case the situation gets out of hand. They could also do certain things like, you know, help. Set barricades or tear down the chalk or the Chazz and free the police up to actually do the work that they were meant to dio. So there's a lot of different ways they could do it, and it just kind of depends on the situation. But I think the National Guard in that case would probably take orders from the local law enforcement. He's running for the seat out of the fourth District of the Great State of Oregon. It is Alex Skarlatos. Goto, Alec for Oregon dot comedy analogies with K E l e kfor Oregon dot com. Let's circle back to your district. What is the chief issue there? Now? What is your district need that It's not getting from the current congressman. More really representation. I mean, he's been in office for 33 years hasn't passed a single major piece of legislation hasn't brought home the bacon for his district. I mean, like I said, before, where the poorest congressional district in the state He's incredibly far left. He votes with a OSI about 96% of the time. The problem, but he doesn't represent Seattle, San Francisco or New York. He represents rule. Oregon and one of our chief issues is the timber industry. And the timber industry really getting thrashed by environmentalists and now I mean, we have our economy has gone incredibly far downhill. We have some of the highest, Ah, homeless rates, drug use rates and child abuse rates in the state and even in the country and The timber industry in southwestern Oregon and Oregon period actually funds County level governments, So if you take away the timber industry, not only direct the economy and all the tertiary industries to go along with it But you also really hurt county level governments because that's where they get a lot of their money in lieu of property taxes, So it's really a very large problem if it was just about the timber industry and Letting employees find other ways to work or even moving out of the area to find work. That would be one thing, but I mean, this is even about force management and the environment, helping to prevent forest fires. It's such a It's such a huge issue for southwestern Oregon even more so than you know, Fishing is to the coastal area. Or, you know Cole is for West Virginia. What people like AOC and the current congressman, What do they think is gonna happen? How do we build things? How do we get lumber? How could the timber industry be somehow horrible When those who are in the timber industry have to replant have to get new timber Rose. They don't have jobs anymore. I'm not trying to ruin the environment. They're trying to continue this consistent need for lumber and wood and timber. I mean, it doesn't doesn't jibe with me. And does that make sense to them? Do you know I don't And honestly, I'd be happy if they even had to answer those questions that they haven't Andi just shows how one sided Oregon has become, and that's one thing we're hoping to change is to re start the conversation on You know, proper force management, revitalizing the timber industry, because even if you just agree that we should salvage log and thin forests to prevent forced fires, Not only will it be better for the environment that will also be better for our economy. And that's a compromise that I think everybody could get behind that Nobody will talk about it. It is alec for Oregon dot com. Es el e kfor Oregon dot com. Alex Skarlatos last question. Have you talked to the president or you getting his support? Is he backing your candidacy? I don't. I don't know if you've got a relationship there or not. Um, I mean, I've met him. We've watched movie with them, actually, but we Ah, we're not really in communication with the White House. I feel like that's just something that's going to happen one day. And we might not even know that it's gonna happen until it does. What have you got to get his backing? That's going to help because obviously the Republican Party he's the chief. He's the guy. Well, I mean, we have some help from the national level Republicans. I mean, we're endorsed by TED careers. Dan Crane shot on cotton. We have a lot of good support on the national level and a lot of great support on the grassroots level. A lot of awesome volunteers. I mean, I just think that with everything going on in the country right now and in this fourth congressional district I think that if we're gonna win this race, it's going And right Then we started losing the connection. But Alec, we appreciated Alec for Oregon dot com. Go there and vote for him. If you're from that part of Oregon. He's a great guy. He's a great young mind, and we need someone like him in the House of Representatives. Your thoughts on that and the world culture and the cancel culture at 105 01 70 80 Joe PAGs dot com when we come back, Alabama's largest radio.

castles reminder he's at the controls all right or you can quick question okay we're good question well the first time you heard the phrase quid pro quo I can tell you the first time I heard it boy probably years ago I I can tell you land but it will be years ago yeah okay so years ago you heard how often you hear quid pro quo just in everyday conversation well recently a lot for that never never never right the first time I ever heard quid pro quo I was watching a film and it was called silence of the lambs good violence of the lambs everywhere your came out early nineties Jodie foster Anthony Hopkins Sir Anthony Hopkins again some respect it was a Hannibal Lecter who under the phrase quid pro quo be in the jail cell talking to especially the starlight as I recall it's also good to have that be so I look it up in his Latin this for that in exchange all right so much I could you could pro quo buzz land then later you know you take Latin in high school and college of Greek and Roman studies or whatever and it just becomes second nature a quid pro quo you know what it is now what does it really mean all right do you even quid quo pro bro quid pro quos are everywhere they are way more common then a squared with a go pro you don't often see what but you see quid pro quos every day the world functions on the quid pro quo art whether it is implicit or explicit makes the whole world go round if you believe like I believe well I can Adam Smith in his theory that everybody acts in his own self interest it's all a quid pro quo now the explicit types of quid pro quo it's a contract she got a contract with somebody I will complete X. if you will provide why there's a quid pro quo for you transaction all the time can you go by a bag of doughnuts you know you will bring it can paper into it but it's understood that you you get the money they give you don't not end of transaction right quid pro quo and then you've got a bet which is a more conditional quid pro quo I show those are explicit those are on the table quid pro quo exchanges however there are these quid pro close out there that are a little bit murkier a little bit another see shady here because I'm not always shady sometimes they're implied sometimes they're implied when they're not even there all right are you the boss right you don't you don't run the whole show do you got you got somebody and they told me you have told in answer to Tony answers to me is that right yeah hi this is this is being recorded my man you gotta be nice to the big I'm not so here's here's a did you tell me is your guide for you that might in another guy at the station manager whoever it is okay let's just take ourselves out of it it was just a you got Ted intends boss's name of Virginia I am I'm not sure why I picked those names let's just go with that of Virginia is in a position of power by she's Ted's boss so Virginia comes in one day with a sign up sheet no the sign up sheet is for buying girl scout cookies from her daughter I'm Ted is over here going all crap I've got to buy some girl scout cookies for Virginia's daughter or or she might take offense and I'm I get passed up for promotion may be able to put on a special project maybe my career arc will suffer if I don't buy these cookies from Virginia's daughter so the side of she goes around in your sand all look all brick over there she bought three boxes all the vin since he bought four boxes intense inner gone look I already bought some from Caitlyn down the street already bought some from the kid outside the grocery store who should me down for three boxes of samoas I don't need any more cookies part by my own daughter well Virginia's kid because Virginia is the boss I gotta buy these cookies was a quid pro quo that's something that they'll Ted made up in his head is almost certain that Virginia is she's not gonna hold against added on buyer dollars cookies but he doesn't know I'm saying here or let's say you got a client and your client you know may not you don't have cookies but Hey Hey you want to go play golf and you say well I really don't have time to go play golf with his client but I gotta make time because vital somebody else will in somebody else will get the business so quit pro clothes are everywhere and unless they are explicit very hard to prove our day in that situation what was so say you say Ted doesn't buy the cookies and then for unrelated purposes Ted's career starts going down the toilet and he can blame the fact that he didn't buy it all it was a quid pro quo I I felt like I felt like I had to buy the cookies I didn't I felt like I should've and now I feel like that's where feel like gets you very very hard to pin down another quid pro quos location it's everywhere night quid pro quo so your your wife I always say your wife wants you to do some stuff around the house you say no not gonna and then you might want to do some stuff with your wife around the house and she says no not gonna base it's not explicit it's hard to pin down so where is this quid pro quo with Ukraine and with Donald Trump we've seen the transcript we've we've seen a conversation there was an exchange in which Donald Trump asked a favor but he didn't say that if you don't do this we will hold a defense funds he said I I did a favorite was regards this thing called crowd strike which is under scrutiny for the election meddling in twenty sixteen and then he mentions the twenty sixteen election it's not a later in the conversation that that Joe Biden even comes up and at that time the guys from the Ukraine pulled the mirrors a Lansky he didn't know that those funds are being withheld so it all stems from this phone call where there's a quid pro quo allegedly and it's not in the phone call but now what they've got a they've got a bunch of closed door testimony about people who are around and they felt like there was some sort of quid pro quo we just outlined three situations where you could feel like there's a quid pro quo and and there's not or there might not be you just don't know you act based on hunches and got in feeling and when you've got a country like the United States who is very powerful well we we give way too much aid to every country in the in the free world yeah he's there to act a certain way you may be feeling you out to see if we if we don't do what we know they want us to do will we get we benefit from the eight in fact if you look at quiproquo something explicit okay Joe Biden the man is on tape bragging about withholding a billion dollars from Ukraine unless they do what was a fire prosecutor who was allegedly were reportedly looking into his son hunter Biden who sat on the border of some energy company in Ukraine barbarism of of the energy whatever that means so you've got it Joe Biden on tape admitting to strong arming Ukraine into making personnel decisions with regards to eight billion dollars he's on it you can go online and go on tour you can find the audio I don't have it in front of me but he says in as many words is.
