"But i mean you know playoff game you gotta get some bubbly but to me that that's brutal because you want you want to be able to pull for the team. And almost ron rivera doesn't deserve this right and run. Various trying to bring some legitimacy to that program into that franchise. In alex smith has brought that like all the moves that the washington football team has done. Even drafting chase young. Which is going to be a phenomenal talent. They've made the right moves but if it doesn't start at the top with true leadership. It's going to trickle down in a way. And i mean you see that from top to now what you see with with what's happening with with dwayne haskins is out of control. Let me ask you this a fun question. You can hit us up on taylor wellman on twitter or myself at peterborough. Espn who if you had a first round. Pick a who would be the least likely for this to be done to have a dwayne haskins type photo out there. Philip rivers your number one pick. It'd be do. We feel like philip rivers would be overall like he would be the trevor lawrence of dwayne haskins. Picks of not doing something like this. Yeah that's fine going with that. Okay where you were going with that andrew luck might have been in there for us. I don't think. I don't think andrew lucked phone is who you can't buy. Yes by the way dwayne haskins. Get yourself flip. Phone or motorola razor. It might works it. It might work on twitter at taylor. Twelve and myself at birds. Espn we gotta get into this story about. What's going on about christmas break because it is cove nineteen and how it relates to the college football. Playoff worried about several teens..

"He's on the line now. Taylor what's up man this is. At and T. Called the field. How you doing how you guys doing. Good good better that we now have a weekly dose of Taylor. Wellman all over the ESPN channels. If People Miss Banter tell them how they can watch it. Tell them what it is yet. Well first and foremost it's not behind a paywall. It's free so Every Wednesday two o'clock it will be live on twitter It will be on facebook youtube and the ESPN APP which was a mass of negotiation struggle. But we pulled it off. We did it as anything boys. You guys know this. It's a work in progress but in my eleven year old. Espn it's important to me. That I try improve appointed internally that you can do show strictly about American soccer from all levels of women yanks abroad. Usfl major league soccer in wants to studio is complete. I think people are gonNA be pleasantly surprised. At how many resources? How many people really buying this? I thought you really hit the nail on the head in that first episode with the concept of helping guys like Michael Parkhurst former retired guys learn how to date and be normal people now that they've retired. I really liked that part of the segment. Michael Parker is got a lovely wife and a lovely family. It's just finally took Sam out for a date now that he's forty five years old and retired Banter. Checked out went out. Of course. We're happy to have Taylor on every single day on twitter to the big news man. It's all about just artnews. Everything in this league right now kind of comes back to him in so many ways whether it be award season whether it be the eastern conference hierarchy etc etc. How do you think they should go about trying to replace Joseph Martinez? It's the big debate that we had on Monday It's a great debate because it is something that very few times in my mls career as a player. Now's an analyst. We're dating back to two thousand two. I don't remember an injury. That's completely changed the complexion of a League and even the conference Joseph Martinez. Is that kind of injury now when you look at it? There's two ways to look. At this first and foremost I would give Adam John a reasonable chance to do this because the entire system that Frank Deborrah wants to place to put Barco. Pt Martinez in spots. To succeed in that is all based off a target for now. Everyone watching and listening. This is going to say wait a minute. You're saying Adam John's going to be Joe's Mortiz no not but in the tactical formation in the tactical setup. Just let him be upfront. Let him do what you need to do. But it's more so about Barco and PT. Taken over for what Joseph brought. You'RE NOT GONNA to be able to replace twenty five plus you just not the second part of this. This is something where all of us on the inside get into the weeds is. I wonder if MLS uses this Joseph Martinez injury to may be reassessed the CPA and the roster capabilities. Because if you really look at this if they put them on I are they get two hundred and fifty thousand dollar budget relief. Now that's not enough and the way the League is setup. I'd argue if you lose a designated player and the first six to seven weeks of the season that franchise should be allowed to replace that with a DP caliber player or find a way to find more money to allow a better player. Come in if the roster's aren't set up this way in the roster regulations guys that then. I'm not saying you get relief but you can't ask. Franchises go spend money on big name players and have them in the roster and then if you lose them in the first five or six weeks you lose your season I just wonder if the honors front offices and one hundred us this injury as maybe a talking point as I think they should. Especially if you're looking at the first six weeks of the season you're just losing so much within the CAP and within your ability to be flexible and you're also if you do this you're putting Joseph on our you're saying he will not be back. We will not get will not be able to touch him. We've seen how loans have affected the league especially in the DP front as well. We saw Jay Williams Person Station signed. He's a guy that the crew let go and he fits in really nicely in the CAP. Do they need to go get somebody else? Do they have to go get someone else to really reach the heights or even approached the heights that we thought they might in two thousand twenty. Yeah I mean I think. There's an overreaction here. I don't think it's going to miss the playoffs. I think they may have to fight to get in. But there's a lot of quality on that roster that can carry this team through. I do believe and I know one of your colleagues doyle thinks it's a completely absurd idea but I do believe Frank de Boer has. Maybe you know thought about playing a false number nine play. Maybe Barco there're play maybe PT Martinez there because they have a wealth of players coming out of the midfield. I Give Adam John I'd say solid four five games. I if you're relying Jay Jay Williams that I think you're GONNA be a lot's going to be left to be desired right but on the other hand. I do believe they need to go find. The problem is as we just said. Two hundred and fifty thousand dollars of budget relief. Jj Williams is a generation Dita's fire so he's essentially a free player and they're gonNA find anything. It's probably going to be within the league and I keep an eye on. Diego Rubio is not starting for Colorado. I knowed salary wise. That may not sit in but you never know how they manage that if they trade whatever. There's a player there that may be unhappy and he may fit into that scheme of what? Frank Damore WanNa do the thing? I keep thinking what I hear these conversations Taylor and we had it and I was listening to allocation disorder and they were going through salmon. Paul we're going through all these like yeah you don't get the roster relief or excuse me the salary cap relief. But then you'd have to spend a bunch of GAM to go get Diego Rubio or a Christian Ramirez or fill in the blank any striker throughout the League because that other team knows you're up against it and so then can you actually fit it in under the CAP. I feel like in so many ways. They're hamstrung in that sense. Maybe they have to go outside the League to try to find a way to fix this either way. They're in a tough spot here. I'm going to pose this to you and I did my MVP rankings. Yesterday now the Jus- Martinez out of the mix because I thought it was villa and Joseph. I'm GonNa Take Carlos Vela off your plate here. You cannot name him because he is the no dub everything on it. Mvp candidate if you're looking ahead now trying to be a little predictive. Who else is in that mix who would you bet on if Fella and Joseph are are no goes PT Martinez. Because let me ask you guys this. If Atlanta's atop three seat in eastern conference and well so hard argument not put them in that conversation. Because if you look at seventy seven plus goals over three years just Martinez and you re you. Don't replace Stat really and PD. Martinez becomes your leader and the quality of player that they need. I think he's got a real argument. Are So yes is in and outside thought outside thought. Kinda but the truth of the matter is is the former South American player of the year. He's not thirty. Five years old You guys know better than I do. How many players have come in? Molested struggled that first year and then the second year all of a sudden something clicks I just keep an eye on PT in Atlanta. Because if they turn the corner in the sense that they they kinda withstand without Joseph Martinez in there in the Eastern conference playoffs and they actually have a good successful run. I think it's GonNa be a hard argument to keep them out of that conversation. Some of the other names. We thought you'd mentioned and you locked in. Pt There the galaxy of course pavone but mainly Chichi retail a little bit of a struggle week. One you mentioned how long it takes to settle in. You played this position in a similar way. Talk US through timing how long? It's GonNa take what he needs from the galaxy around him to peak and be you know the player they want him to be year one and good question Just because so much has been made about Girija replacing Salon. I understand fifty plus goals and all that off the field but actually did this on banter in the first episode. You can't play the same way. They had twenty seven crosses against Houston and yet. She does up from himself. That I it just not gonNA work. He has been extremely successful when he's got some support in and around him. I'm not saying they have to play two forwards but they've got to be able to get him off the chew centrebacks. He's gotTa be more mobile. He's gotTa have the freedom to run and run off someone. I look at Pavonis goal. He's a special player. It's almost as if all of us forgot the Guy Play Golf World Cup for Argentina But the truth is he's got the quality you can't have twenty seven crosses which against to molest centrebacks the truth of the matter is mls. Centrebacks historically are good with dealing on process. Now that's changed over. The last three or four years is more internationals. Come in in some team struggle. They're better with the ball defeat but they're not natural quote unquote defenders but throughout his entire career. Hernandez needed support in and around him. And what scares me? If I'm a galaxy fan is that skull votto after the game saying we need to do that more I actually think they to change their style. That suits him. I said this before season started seventeen and a half goals over under. Would you take the over on? I actually would take the under. The galaxy are going to be a better team. You and I in the same boat on Vancouver going to La this week and supposed to be a sellout ten PM EASTERN ON ESPN ESPN. Plus you can check that one should be a good game. How much patience will the? Mls World Will the galaxy. World will teach rideau himself. Have here Taylor because if it starts slow and it keeps going slow. This is going to be the story of the League while any good goalscorer that lives in briefs for score goals. You saw signs of it. It's not there's going to be fair patients which each retail you even saw it against Houston Dynamo thrown his arms up. Here's a little upset. He was frustrated his competitive as he's ever it's going to be but if you're constantly and answered questions on replacing locked-on and at times I have found. She treated talking too much. Because the truth of the matter is this how many players transcend the sport? Maybe three or four slot time was one of those so the only way Heavier Hernandez is GonNa shut. People up is galaxy winning and him contributing so the fact he is saying well. Yeah there's a lot of time scored fifty goals. But he didn't win any championships. I don't have any pressure. I'm not totally sure. I'm GONNA by that and I know that's an indirect way of him talking about trying to be open and transparent but pressures on for him to succeed in pressures on L. A. to win. Obviously they're still looking to make a couple of moves They believed defensively. They need another upgrade. They've had an offer rejected over the last forty eight to seventy two hours for centreback Mexican national team setback for that matter. So when you look at that and how they're trying to go ballot it I think elegance. You're going to be a better team but I'm not totally sure it's going to be because Torito's on the field Taylor who are Mexican national team centrebacks that are in the pool on.

"You have a team that's a winning team what you have to do is you have to come back next year better but you also have to come back different which is easier said than done and for the warriors if the boogie thing works out you come back better different anyone that's ever listened to me i think that's assuming a lot but on the other side of the human nature is is if your boogie cousins and you're gonna show up to golden state and start being a problem then who are you as a person because those of us at our worst around more successful people or people that we admire will usually you know sort of deferred them personality wise i mean i really don't think people change that much i think we'd all like to we like to improve the parts of ourselves that we need all you know starting i'm gonna start doing this i think you know at certain point you just kind of are who you are and maybe with cousins he can change their a little bit or maybe he can fake it long enough in a shortened season where it still works because if you're a basketball player i don't care good bad the greatest do the worst teammate if you're going up to golden state try to tell them how business needs to be done then you have a massive massive personality flaw and i don't think i don't think many players would ever do that i just am not sure that i would bet on boogie figuring this out however you know what with his talent i kind of hope he does figure this out because he's too talented to do this but as i've always said like it's so much more than the numbers how he can negatively negatively impact a team so rudy assess okay looks like cerruti is welcoming taylor wellman hey buddy hey what's up i just did a massive boogie cousins rant before we get to him a little something about home security from our friends at simply safe hey guys wanna talk to you again about simply safe these guys obsess over the details it's why the alarm system is so good by the way getting that involved us simply safe coming over to get the new place hooked up here's an example typical glass breaks sometimes gets fooled a false positive it sounds like drop plates baby crying simply safe didn't want to settle for typical because really good home security should be accurate so they actually constructed a glass break.

"And we are delighted once again to be joined by our find soccer analyst taylor wellman who joins us in studio straight talk the way you did what was that oh yeah we got you we pick it's my first time no it's okay well what was the best rate over i'll trade you orange slices a trophy one appearance a week and we get golick junior off and what's slice is what's the trophy whatever you want whatever kind of trophy from the golden awesome rocksolid school pottery class the other before we get into the world cup one that thing the other thing we're talking about with possibility of lebron going to the lakers yeah something else my son brought up is lebron bigger than no the lakers at know the lakers franchise debatable so okay so we but mike we've okay so there we go so you're saying michael jordan bigger than the sport here is very few athletes if any that the brand in their icon is being warned on college universities and around the world michael jordan has jumped man jumping bigger than michael jordan i think that's what does is great if he were just the basketball player michael jordan no i don't think he's done with nike but lebron i'm sorry in you brought up a great point kobe bryant think of what the lakers how many great players point know the lakers are bigger and honestly i thought your initial point on the ages being important but i'm thirty eight in michael jordan's bigger than the lakers are celtics but magic kobe kareem you shaquille jerry west is the logo there exactly in i'd still say the lakers in a weird ways bigger than jerry west michael jordan's the only one that that brand is massive anybody how about soccer is there a name of the greatest palay was no those bigger than that that's fair i actually found what's interesting is you guys are going to ask me about yesterday is we have messy score an unbelievable goal they have their drama you show the pictures of him showing real leadership the only thing we're talking about diego maradona with two birds before yeah the hospital that is the ghost that that lionel messi chasing yeah that is a real ghost because yesterday is the any is a microcosm of what macy's dealing with the way who scored the winning goal that would be marcos rojo cokie lend us eighty six minutes here is why now we talking soccer hey getting into the world cup here's the only issue i had maybe it's a minor thing is i hear people talking about messy all of a sudden was a leader yesterday got them huddled up at halftime and and my thought is come on okay he was the leader network leader and the other games i mean the only lead when are completely against the wall i mean comment was spot on golick i did and i listen to you guys every morning and majority of your conversations are spot on this morning it actually was surprising to me how perfect you guys were with the messy leadership here's the one i'm going to is is that just because the cameras showed it doesn't mean mess he's not a leader right that's the thing and because of this crap i like to say around the whole messy thing it messy versus renauld on which teams better mind you argentina's got a really good team attacking wise defensively they're in shambles that's on the coach coaches setting this team up to fail because he's not putting the right players on the field portugal's got nobody but cristiano renaldo the leadership thing drives me nuts because why do you have to be the.
