"Can take how many games have you played by the time you step on the NBA floor thousands? From kid to where you had the point where playing the NBA football. Oh my God. A shitload of games baseball. Once you Gillian games all these, all these other sportsmen there's a reason why expanse you've seen certain situations by the time you get there. With fury or. Loma chant goes, a better example, amateur fights. He's had. So by the time he gets the pro, you know, he's fighting for world title-winning fourth fight fifth fight, but he he's not gonna run across a style that he hasn't seen before. He's only get surprised learn peco's getting surprised every fight. He's never seen that style before live ready to go money on the line. He go. Well, he's seen in training doesn't matter the only way, you can get better is in the cage experience, when it counts practices great. But we all know great practice players. You gotta do it when it counts knowing where he can do it when it counts is getting a lot of big name fight a lot of experience, you know. So it's kind of heartbreaking, man. My heart goes out to my heart goes out to him. I think he's gonna be fine. I don't think everyone should write them off. I know what the fun thing to do with this negative culture. We have on. I love, Heather hardy, she's phenomenal store if you look into it, you know, but got taken down choked, and then, you know, TKO punches in the first round. So. A tough one for Bella door. But Taylor Turner and Adam borax may focus more on them. They look great. Then you go the main card where Gucci one via decision. What's, what's interesting about this now is he's. A double champ champ in two different organizations in Reisen, and now and Bella tour two major organizations. Go and get them over that one championship baby. Join it that tripleheader bro. "We do this every single week. Now, what happens here is our man if he Santangelo junior, the rape producer Cambridge tonight books us a mystery guest. We do not know who this person is it could be an athlete. Can have any other kind of line of work. We don't know what we do know we have ninety seconds to guess who this person is perfect. You nailed it. Usually they come on and say that job. Give us a hint. Then we run out of time. You can ask for the hint. But I don't think it's going to help you not this time. No, no, no. Books and pretty good ones in the past. So maybe you'll top yourself tonight. Mystery guest. Thank you so much for joining us on mystery guests Thursday, I'll start the conversation by saying Hello. How are you? Well, how you guys who? Okay. Male female to male. We've got that for sure. Are you an athlete, sir? Currently. Yes early. No answer the question. Okay. So we're athlete. But isn't it once an athlete always an athlete, isn't that the saying France, and don't you tell me that all the time? Yeah. That's exactly what I say. What? All right. So if you're a former athlete. What sports did you play? I played baseball. Dislike you, my man say I'm going to give it to you now. Because I think it I don't wanna ruin this has got to take a teammate of France or native don't recognize voice at every single one of my teammates voice about thirteen seconds away for all the teams you play for. Yeah. Yeah. Holy mackerel. Yup. All right. Let's see here. Did you play in the time that I was playing what was your last year two thousand fifteen? Oh my gosh. You're so young. No, okay. FBI we have run out of time here. Can you please reveal to everyone who are mystery guests is our mystery guest is Jerry Goff. Former and it'll be player and father of Jared Goff QB of the LA Rams. Wow. Very good. Mr. gobs, a pleasure to talk to you. Thank you so much for joining us and playing silly games here on the air. Wow. This is awesome. This is outstanding. We gotta we gotta say someone on this. All right. Look, I get killed on here on can't be are. Because I can't hate your son number one. He plays for the Rams. And as you know, that's usually not a good thing. But like you wears sixteen anywheres it for one reason, I'm sorry. If you're Niner fan, you gotta watch that in like, I love this guy. Love it. I know he wore award any bitty guy. The hutch uniforms. Six years old. I know. Crazy. What's been so incredible to see his in the NFL? I mean, what what was the difference that you notice from the Jeff Fisher years to now with McVeigh? Guys at Jeff Fisher years that was just one year for Jared. And it was always seven games. You know, I it's so funny that you know, sometimes people or. Whatever sport you play. They kind of put you in a bottle and he played seven games with them and then got into a different situation. And then you see what's happened. But. It's just more of a offense that is conducive to his his strange and not that you know, what he did with Jeff was wasn't great. But at the same time, you know, you still gonna thank him for what he did for Jarrett. The jazz. You know, he just more of a wide open quarterback guy. And you see what you're seeing now. And we're hoping things are pretty good this weekend. When you look at the back at the whole draft process, and and as a parent, and obviously you're just hoping nothing, but the best for your child, and in obviously going down to L as a awesome thing for him. For yourself. If you had you know, it all back is it more about fit than anything. Like, you just it not so much the got to be the top draft pick, but more of the fit or you know, he's gonna be comfortable. If you're telling maybe a perspective. Quarterback coming out this like this year to their parents. I think so I mean, I think I think you'll notice the NFL game is starting to Kenner revert back to the college game a little bit where just a few years back. It was whatever whoever was running the offense or whoever the head coach was you're gonna run starting to sit these these offenses to quarterback. And I think that's a smart move because not every quarterback can do what certain people want. So when whenever they get especially player like that. I think they're they're really trying to make that offense work to his strength. Because I mean good or bad off in terms of the quarterback. They get they get the worst get press when nigga it's not necessary. But it all runs through the quarterback for the most part Jerry playing in the in the bigs for six years like you did what were the conversations that you had with Jared before he went pro. I mean did it start when he was with cow was it draft nightmare. Did you did you have? Conversation with him as he was coming up about becoming a problem. What it took? Yeah. You know, I talked about a bunch of things, you know, just lucky enough to play baseball at the highest level. Kevin you'll probably if have kids, but she's three she's three. Okay. Well, you can get a few years. Dominant athlete crazy. Oh, man. That's good. I like that. You know, you try to tell them what you learn from your failures. And from your. You don't think you've done well, and, you know, pretty grounded for the most part, but just hard work. That's all work hard. And you know, wherever you land, you're gonna land. But I believe there's any substitute for hard work, and you'll be in the draft to where he was a lot of expectations on him, which is good. That's fine. It's great in bringing on. But at the same time, you know, just to be. And hopefully people believe you our chips. They may. I think what's incredible. If you think about the the final teams that are left in in the playoffs. Two of the main quarterbacks on on top seeded teams come from baseball families and being around the game in Mahomes in in your son. And for me, that's a big thing because the clubhouse not locker room, the clubhouse is such a different place. It is home. It's it's where I feel like there's a leadership that takes on in a clubhouse when you get to a locker room, it might be more guys. But it's almost easier because it, you know, how people are gonna follow. If you know how to act if you know, how to be a pro did was there any of that going into it with with teaching Jared, and and just not know how to carry yourself. But just being a pro it doesn't matter. How old you are? Percent. I think there's a time and a place for that. You know, I think he was he left high school early and went to Cal and started as an eighteen year old kid. I did every sorta cows quarterback Oxy about you know, your place and being that he's quarterback it's hard 'cause you're leader. But years old. So was that line would that you cross I think you need your pipes. So to speak and the same thing for him with the LA Rams ill twenty one year old kid going up room was thirty. You don't go there. Jess you you need to go and play. Well, before you start, you know, starting to leave these guys, I really believe that's part of it. And then not necessarily play. Well, but you said that you just gotta be around can't walk and on the locker room. It's hard to do that. And I think he's done a good job with that. He was you know, now that he's. Had a decent years. The time Pro Bowl now on a three years. And he has a a sense of the locker room, and I think between him and the other guys there. They take care of those in talking to him. Have you ever asked him be like is it weird playing with a thirty five year old or thirty six year old when you're twenty one was there ever that conversation because for myself as a rookie at what twenty three and you're playing with bonds who's thirty nine forty years old forty one years old, Omar Vizquel, there's a lot there's a big difference there, and especially in life and in how the game has changed. But for Jared. I mean, just seeing how these guys act in and run the locker room and do all that was there a big change for him. I think so I think you watch these guys because you don't know there's there's no substitute for experience. Right. You need to you need to watch how these pros handle pendulum. So you don't know when you're a kid, right? There's a couple of guys you Andrew Whitworth in particular. Who become really good friends, and he's got three kids and four kids three boys and girls, and then he he spends a lot of time with that guy. And he has been the league for thirteen fourteen years, and he teaches them a lot. And I think that's good to gravitate to somebody who's been around a little bit. And and learn how to handle yourself. Driving down to LA to go. See your son this weekend? I mean is this going to be a whole family excursion or you're by yourself? You've got the camper packed up. What's going to be like for the golf family? Man, you want to hear this. Yeah. Yeah. So my wife, and I are heading down Thursday. But there's an RV Heddon down shortly after us months Friday or Saturday Friday 'cause game starting that Friday night. It'd be whole crew. It's so easy to get to LA. Right. I've is direct route or jumping a plane. So would lucky knows I live in Nevada. And it's it's a small town. So we got a lot of supporters up here big family, and they all head down that way quarter. So we'll have a big crew and hoping for the ranchers do their thing against the Cowboys on Saturday night, Nevada, bud Norris territory. I'd say, you know, what you're right. I mean, that's the lead the kid was alleged. He's still a legend in his own mind too. So it's all good. We're we're we're rooting for him to. Hey. For you as a dad and your wife in in watching Jared harder now or harder back in college high school Washington play oh horror now for sure. Now for sure. It's a bigger stage. Right. And I mean Cal I love Kelly went there. It's not Alabama. Clemson you're not playing like they did last night. How about the kids clumps it off? How looking like that special teams crazy? Bigger stage. So now, you know, it it's it's a big deal right in the playoffs or even bigger. So a lot of nervousness anxiousness. And you know, just hope for the best, you know, health and on the whole thing. That's another thing before he gets to these things unscathed. So yeah. Yeah. I it's it's touching go. That's for sure. You guys do for every game. Are you communication on game day after game day throughout? I know when I was Jared's wearing an apple watch. He's getting a communication during a game dad's. Like, hey, this is what I wonder I'd say this is Jerry and what the green dinas helmet. Well, if he's wearing apple watch. I have no idea what that's all about. I'm fifty four note clue. We we talk. We talk prior to the game. And then what we typically spend time after the game. So not talking about the game but more so at times, but so you know, how's he feeling ill? I it gets tricky ill with this level. So particularly late in the year. But it's all good. We're we're in a good space. How about the what is he now played five times against the Niners or sixty deep due to his rookie year? I don't know that he didn't play in dress that I didn't. And I'm just wondering just for you. You're in him alone. Was it different for? Look, you're competing. You're going to go out there all the time. It's not like, oh, man. It's an Irish. But at some point got to be like damn, this is awesome. I'm going up against the Niners. You still have a little bit there for for. Sure. No. I grew up diehard Niners and giants I'm born and raised Marin. Yeah. I mean, I I was on the field when Montana through the past the Clark. I was down there pulling grass and keeping it was. We got so many memories hangs out with Murph. Yeah. I know it's a good deal. Jared. You know, of course, was that number because the Joe, but it's it's different. You guys know that now he's playing. All right. The big question. I've been waiting assets. Because I I would ask him in a heartbeat. What the hell is he wearing a dodger uniform? I don't care if he throws out the first pitch. There's to be a giants shirt on underneath that. Right. Dude. You just took the words on my mouth. He got a giant t shirt and meet that. So just so, you know, he's got. If he's going to do what he's gotta be like John Peterson. And and and Taylor Turner, Justin Turner, you gotta have all the buttons down. So it at least, you know, you could show it a little splash of orange blue. Yeah, he didn't show. But there was there was a giant giant t-shirt? He loves the giants loves aware beer kid. But you know, when it comes to the NFL two different. Always rude on the giants will always root on the warriors loves. It was oh, I'm sure he's getting killed down there because he's a warriors fan. Brunch. Too much better. Just shut up. I know. That's okay. The curry routes on the Panthers, right, right? Right. I know. I mean, that's the beauty of sport. And what we get to see. And I think what makes you know, Steph. So real is that he doesn't sell out to the other side. And that's the same thing with Jerry. I it just, you know, his giants love is always going to be there and people are going to hate on you all you want. But I hated players I played with hated it when they're like, oh, no an eagles fan because if player in Philly, it's like why? What's the point? Like, I I worry a Phillies uniform put a sharks territory signed down at citizens Bank park because I'm a sharks fan, I'm not a flyers fan, and I got killed, and you know, what I'm fine with that. Because that's my pride. Agreed on that all all the above. Yeah. Jerry. Thank you so much for hanging out with us. It was a it was a blast to talk to you. We appreciate you participating in mystery guests Thursday. We have fun and good luck to your son and the Rams all right? Thanks for having me on. This is awesome. For hopping..

"Does your at the live free throw up? Good. Probably the one guy you don't want to get going to the game. Yeah. Frazier. Just two points prior to their that free throw. And he makes them both. So it's a one point game sixty three sixty two three. Oh, eight to go. Turner brings it up. Always gonna be Illinois gone to. So here's Turner to the left side. Stop two fires up three Grimm's out. Rebound Shani's billet at the other end. The subaru. Paul poked away from Frazier by Taylor. But it keeps the goal. That'd be careful. Taylor's got four Turner, Scott four loss for all four. There's no Subaru circles 'til the top behind the back pass brazier riding in little runner. Got it and Illinois had brought sixty four sixty three. His first field goal this half. Northwestern twenty four left one point north western lead. We'll keep it right here. Where you don't want to get tight and the game down one point. You got to have a good possession. Here. It goes all the time out of twenty five on sits in the bog two minutes left in the game. It's this where you wanna play strong confident. I mean, you got three guys that are big names that can't believe follow the four fouls, even Derek Carr's three, but can't shy away from. Got a. Role with the punches here. Just really strong. Three by her looked like it was going down looked down. You wanna take that early? In the shot clock note. Only through this little wrench in the plans. They through this triangle to throwing two guys one guy on big law. One guy. Ryan taylor. See what they do here to four on Taylor Turner law, pardon Illinois, four on Williams. He's out there logged with Frazier Nichols. The subaru. And shannon. Cats played down one to twenty two left LS showing zone three to zone. Cats. No, they're gonna keep sweatshirt writers Tertre, six Broadway. Taylor three. No good. Partner readout. There you go offensive rebound there for Derek pardon to all five to go full shot clock Shacklock here. There's Turner bouncing Taylor. Repeats Turner, doesn't try it this time now Vic law works. His way inside put it off. Got it. Yup. Puff off at the straw movie law contract zoo, sixty five sixty four northwestern a minute forty four to go. Here's another big stop here. Here is go Subaru against law puts up the shot short. The follow goodbye. Sixty six sixty five ninety seconds to go. Turner brings it up. Against those Subaru. Hey, Jay Turner. Hi, right. Charter glides to his left. Jock mock down fifteen game lockdown omit at twelve pairs partner. Dr got it to part and underneath. But he can do it out the game three. No good. Rebounded by brazier a minute to go. One point Illinois leads sixty sixty five Frazier, walks it up. A timeout. Taken with fifty five point three twenty on the shot clock. Everybody brother fell down especially after hitting Aurora in the game. Shop Anthony a to step up that one. All right. So. Wildcats. I thought this is a pillow toy timeout. They've got to northwestern has one ton outlet barrel. With wild gaps Eleanor. It is. You're right. Look it up. This is the big possession here. Those possession knows ranch points here and. The double bonus Brown. The cats have been at these situations quite a bit, absolutely. We'll put the ball in play the shot clock. Fifty five point three for regulation time does civil walks. It out. Poor standing dribble Carter gives them a wide berth. Now, it gets a screen for Chinese fully behind the back dribble. Dumps it off razor around. Alright. Nichols five to shoot four Nichols, right baseline cutoff back out. They went back out to the big, man. And I don't think he was aware of their Shacklock yet point five remain in northwestern ball. They're gonna look at the clock. So you and get a short little time out here. Thirty four point five showing at the moment. Sixty six sixty five Illinois. This is Ben. Why did game? It's been a game. Where would have? Cages, and it's been tied eighteen times. Nate this'll stress you out a little bit a little bit. On the bench right now. I'm a little bit nervous. But. Lions. There's no way you're an artist as coach fire. I mean, he he's what bullets the bulbous like this breaks out the coach. Officials over at the monitor. This out the great defense there. Great everybody. I mean, that's that's the ideal situation jockey way ended the game with little to no foul. Trouble. Got Derek right behind you. Listen help. Denigrates up the. So he got a little bit of time here with it. With the Glock and everything but hopefully, degrom out run assault. Play. Get a great shot by thirty five point two o'clock three tenths of a second off five second differential shot clock to game. Northwestern. Dow by one. And law to throw it. Turner. Here we go. Jay. Kicked out of their got it affected to go three. Three. Sixty eight sixty. Wildcats. Ten point one to go. Northwestern bottle. Three three point land. We're heading the confidence to step up and shootout again, it's it's enormous team right now. Well, how about the rebound by rebound my lawn, Derek? They both went in there wouldn strong. I mean. Makes you kinda stayed on doing that. But man, oh, man. Sixty eight sixty six northwestern. What do you do now? You got to settle down play. Great defense. Like, you just did no foul shooting over free free. Yep. You would figure they're not gonna go for three. But you never know. Like this. The one guy that I said we don't want to get hot. And he said he's scored the last four points. So. I wonder who they're going to figure at the same time. Main thing here is so slow in the ball down. Right. When I get it in. Sixty eight sixty six ten point five zero. Here's out there Nichols, Gordon, either the game. Shot fully for the Wildcats furhter tailor law part. I'm James screaming. No second chance bucket right now. Hillary has timeouts left. Put another point four o'clock as well. Point five sixty eight sixty six north western. I think we settled is going to go down to the wire here, did what wells pretty close to the wire out spouse death. No sooner will trigger ninety four feet away. Ten point five ago. Those pseudo looking at it goes Frazier with me. Todd Illinois with seven point five. Really it's to shoot around tap horn to pardon. They don't have that plan or playbook. Donald people do say that. Not a lot of people out of everybody's got not a lot of people connect you guys did. Seven point five or sixty eight sixty six northwestern lead. Full teams have a timeout. Yeah. I thought. Used their last one. I thought we did too. So. They have one remaining and Illinois is going to go back to the chess match here. If you want. Wildcats ladders scoring today by law with thirteen f five players Donald figures all five starters. Tertre out there with that. Three mortar. The put the cops ahead. Dave you've been around basketball. Ceo Lloyd makes elaborate too or they may do for those who call timeout right away. Before the game. I. Maybe you want to get the wall down the four don't give them a chance to get sick. No against Oklahoma. At the end the cats had a timeout. Yup. I liked that call. They get a good. They got a good shot the the games. Well, seven point five to go. Go Suva will throw it in. From the hash. Mark farside bernallio annoy batch. Two. Brazier now back bubble by the backer. Frazier to what three in the air. The Wildcats win. A three four the win real at. I heard the Wildcats survive. And I get their first big ten year off AJ partners three pointer just over ten seconds to go. What a ballgame. Sixty eight sixty six the final score. Five I thought for Justice split second shot was going down. Frazier. Don't think you're the only one Roxy this movie a few times before. So we're gonna keep it right here. Really AJ Tertre over here for a moment. Hit the turned out to be the game winning shop. And he's smiling too. That's bring in. The Wildcats AJ Turner right here and AJ one gets a handshake from teammate Vic law, but you guys have been in so many tight games where you needed that shot at the end to go down. Just describe what you're thinking you missed the first shot. They get a big rebound BIC Derek for you. And you get a second shot at. Yeah. I mean that was a huge off has rebuffed by Derek. It was it was a team ever. Honestly. But I was open. So I shot it, you know, coastal me be aggressive, and I made it thank you. It was a tough day shooting from three in the first half. But then I you hit one riot hit a couple of CBA Anthony gained three point threat now, right? Yeah. Kinda get your gold a little bit. Yeah. Definitely. We will. We have Anthony hitting threes is definitely like a energy boosts, their you know, he he he practises those shots every day. So to see him finally shoot them in the game and knock down a huge energy boosted. I was a change at halftime made you came out with a different level of intensity. You really really kind of drove the ball or your power in the ball on the ground. You're going and big guys were just getting the ball to pay. What what you coach halftime you or or the team in general that really made a change? You know, we've been in this situation before you said these close games we needed this. One Illinois is a good team. They came into our home floor, and we just had to come out with a different level of mental focus in the second half. And everyone was just being aggressive..

"Boarded at twenty cats at Georgia Tech. Let's bring back in the coach Joey Meyer coach Vic law talked about pretty much every half. But he looked more and more comfortable tonight just handling the ball almost like becoming a natural point guard. No, no, no, no. I think the coach secondary ball handling all secondary ball. He struggled with Alvarado pressured. Don't get carried away. This is the formula though. Right. You're going to play some good defense. You're going to try to get up and down. And when he hit some shots are getting to performances tonight, but you're going to need down the line here. But this is this is how northwestern really wants to play defense. I and what I've said along different guys will handle the ball different guys will hit threes. Would you hit law? Taylor turner. You got different opted. You don't have to depend on that one shooter. So hopefully, the spreading out of it in threes and the defense comes and they're going to be a tough out for teams people underestimate northwestern you were talking to your good friend rich fog before the game. "Dan, Schulman Chris singleton our thanks to the hall of Famer, Bobby euchre. Such a huge part of the baseball scene. Here will walk you for spending a half inning with us. Now, he's back on the air during a local broadcast here in Milwaukee Brewers radio network is Chris Taylor takes a strike of Jeremy, Jeff. Taylor Turner Muncie eighth inning want run game. He's the kind of guy you could keep for hours to the point where eventually he'd say. Okay. Guys, I told all my stories now, I gotta go but stories so good, and it's not just historic. He such a decent kind, man. As the Owen is fouled back to and immensely popular. Here would be an understand. Yeah. I agree. It's it's awesome. You know when you have. Guy like that that's been around the organization a long time could easily be disconnected from this generation of player. But he's got a Walker. You know in there. I would imagine if he didn't show up the guys would go looking for them and say, hey, you need to get in here. No balls two strikes on Chris Taylor. Pitches. Hi, high one Taylor started the game and set move to left. And now he's at second. With all of these changes that Dave Roberts has had to make the dodgers got two of the top of the seven to make it a one run game. Euchre through batting practice for a long time to. Brewers on a daily basis. Let deepens the connection with guys as well. Want to tailor censored foul off to the right in his eighties. But has an amazing amount of enthusiasm and energy. And and still love recovered the ballpark every day. Borey can able is now loosening up in the Milwaukee bullpen. Greg counsel's going to try to get he got three outset of Jeffers lasting Jeffers. Still on the mound is go to try to get six more out of some combination of Jefferson and Ken able with or unavailable today. Want to swing a week grab all up the third base line issues. Trouble barehanded by Mushtaq is not even close at. I was hit too. Softly taylor. Runs too. Well and answered infield hit. That's big quiet in here quickly as the dodgers have their laid off mad on good speed. And taylor. See what? Turner can do in terms of possibly hitting behind the runner into that hole on the right side of the infield. Get a first and third situation. Justin Turner, one for three of Asia to ground out on a fly ball. And they're quiet again the ballpark. They are tense again here at the ballpark with the dodgers having a leadoff man on her to wander onto game in the eighth inning. The pitch and.

"Just a little while go with Greg Matic, aim Denver and got text message from John and tosa and John makes an interesting point, which I think is notable the brewers hated having their AAA team in Colorado. But do you think having the sky SOX diminish the Rockies home field advantage? Some maybe knowing better how to play there. I think there might be something to that Corey. Nabl Corbin burns. Josh hater, those are all guys who very recently were pitching at Colorado Springs, and you learn how to pitch at altitude. Now, maybe it doesn't make any impact. You know, the brewers pitchers. Look darn good against the Rockies at Bill or park as well. But maybe it does that's a ballpark that is tough to pitch shutouts in and the brewers just put up, you know, they put up the Donut hole today against the Rockies and having guys who know what it's like to pitch at altitude. I think could have potentially impacted this game. Let's go to Joe in Milwaukee. Who's giving us a call? Hey, Joe, you're on WTMJ. Yeah. Matt question for you here. So it's going to be the dodgers in this seven game series. And I haven't followed them a lot this year because I'm more interested in the cubs and the cardinals and things they don't division. He could break down each pitching staff for me. Their strengths and weaknesses and gave the edge to. And also if you could who gives the edge each position player, there's an is the last bit at least I think what's going to be a big factor in this series is the depth on each team. Who do you get the edge there? That's all I got thanks for taking my call. All right. I appreciate it would take probably twenty thirty minutes to do a full breakdown. When you're comparing the two I'll say this. I think I think the lineup top to bottom for the dodgers is a scarier lineup. Then the brewers lineup top to bottom. It's just one of those lineups. You look at it. And you don't really feel like there's a whole anywhere. I mean, I just the the game that they're playing right now Taylor Turner Muncie Machado camp, Belhadj bellinger's. They're number six hitter. Kiki Hernandez is their number seven hitter. These are really good hitters. So I think from a from kind of a raw level the lineup of the dodgers. There's is a little bit scarier than the then the brewers lineup, but the brewers are producing at a pretty good level right now. And by the way, the dodgers don't have a Christian yelich in the lineup. Ryan Braun is continuing to come through in a big big way. Mike new stock is somebody who always seems to come up and postseason. So the dodgers lineup is probably a little bit more scary than the brewers. It's now it's really tough to compare starting pitching and relief pitching against each other. Because outside of like, you'll leash Assine the brewers. I mean, they're probably gonna have a bullpen game in there at some point in time, the top two starters for the dodgers Clayton Kershaw, and he and Jin Ryu are both really really good. And then you look at what Walker. Buehler has done. You look even an Alex wood. But they're going with three the Kershaw review. And Buehler that's a that's a really good starting rotation. So the Br the dodgers have an edge in terms of actual starters. But the brewers use. Pitching differently. So from a from an overall pitching standpoint and for me pitching depth standpoint. I think you look at the brewers if you can if you're the brewers and you're able to survive the dodgers starters and get into their bullpen. I think you're in better shape, and then just overall depth top to bottom one to twenty five. I think without a doubt. It's the brewers who have a better depth. And I would I would take the brewers depth over the dodgers. I think it's gonna turn into a good series. If that ends up being the series that I would expect it to be. But hey, you know, what the brave they win today. They win tomorrow. All of a sudden, they're going to a game five, you never know what might happen and the dodgers have been incredibly inconsistent throughout the year. They've had the best roster in the National League pretty much from game one, and they haven't played to that level. So there's nothing saying that they will for sure be able to advance. I here in the postseason back to the phones. Paul is in Oshkosh. Hey, Paul, you're on WTMJ. Hey, thanks for taking my call. Yeah. You speak. And he hit on a lot of good things there. And I remember you back last year the third into the sea, and there are some negative talk and whatnot. But we definitely agree that there's something special about last year's teams, and and it continued into this team this year steam with accusations, and you got to really in any spoke bay. Being able to maybe grab from the forty man last roster to make some adjustments. I wonder if maybe talk about that because as we approach this next series and then. That's really about it. That's what I had and Ali with you. I appreciate the phone call. So I don't think the roster. You are allowed to change your twenty five man roster from one postseason series to the next postseason series. So they will they will establish a new twenty five man roster for this. I think there will be some changes. I think in all likelihood will be on the roster. I think there's a chance maybe they would even go with another left-hander out of the pen and Dan Jennings. There's a possibility that he would end up on the roster as well who that ends up coming off the roster. I'm not convinced. The Freddie Peralta will stay on Craig counsel really made a point that council or excuse me that Peralta was on this roster for this series because of the success that he had had against the Rockies previously this year. Maybe they go with one less position player someone like a on Braxton Jonathan scope their position on the roster could be up for grabs as well. So I do think there's going to be some some changes. And if if there are going to be changes, I think the guys that I just mentioned are the ones up for grabs. I'm not sure that Braxton Peralta and scope, I don't know how many of those guys will be on the roster, and I look at those left handed relievers. And we gotta look at starting pitching as well. Because Zack Davies there's a chance that you need four starting pitchers going into this next series, depending on how they want to handle starters. Now if they go with a lot of bullpen games. Maybe they don't. But if you are going to cover a carry another starting pitcher, you would think the GIO Gonzalez is probably gonna start. But if you need that fourth true starter as opposed to just the outfitter, maybe Zach Davies ends up on the roster as well. Text line four one four seven nine nine one six twenty four one four seven nine nine one six twenty that is the accurate mortgage talk and text line. That's how you text in. If you wanna call in four one four seven nine nine nine four nine four. Stacey in Waterford wants to know when they announced the MVP award that will be announced either during the World Series or right after the World Series. I think it's right after the World Series gets done. The voting is already done for the votes for MVP and Cy Young and all that they do in prior to the first pitch of the postseason. So those wild card games that first wildcard game was cubs and Rockies the votes for Cy Young an MVP had to be in before the first pitch of that David in Kenosha. I don't wanna get too far ahead of myself. But let's say the brewers make the World Series which direction would you go as far as who is the D H. Good question. I don't know that is. The. That is a very good question. And I haven't really thought that you kind of caught me off guard there, maybe if you look to the outfield, maybe a Ryan Braun, maybe you sneak Domingo Santana, maybe Domingo Santana because I think bronze a better defensive outfielder than Santanas. Maybe Domingo Santana is at times Johnson scope may end up in that position. If he is on the roster idol, there's a lot of time between now and then David I I love your optimism. I think you are getting a little bit too far ahead of yourself. I would certainly encourage you to and you've mentioned Travis Shaw. That's. If you go with Travis Shah's your D H than maybe an air non-presidency second or Jonathan scope its second. You're a little bit better defensively. But let's I heard today the network broadcast said something along the lines of Travis Shaw mentioned his air total and saying they were all at second base. That's not true. That's not true. At all Travis show. I think committed one aired second base this year. He that is let's let's go back to the audio of the night that they acquired Mike moose dacas and the phone calls in the text messages that I got from people saying they're gonna lose games late in the season because of defensive miscues because of Travis shot second and shame on the brewers for not valuing defense and putting shots second. Bring. Newstalk those takes look pretty funny right now. Those are those are pretty ridiculous things to say when we look back on what's happened here. Recently six nothing the brewers get the win in Colorado. They sweet the National League division series. They are headed to the National League championship series. If you wanna join the program, you can do so four. One four seven nine nine nine four nine four four one four seven nine nine nine four nine four.
