That the education professionals will tell you that up until third grade you learned to read, but for the rest of your life, you will read toe learn. So that foundation you have by the time you're in third grade. If it is a solid foundation, you can still be a skilled student. I'm a product of that mind was. I was a very, very good student at a young age. And I was terrible in high school. My parents divorced and I just kinda went off the rails. And so I was a bad student. But I was able and still able to learn. So being self educated in a lot of ways is because I read a lot I'm able to comprehend. And I can, obviously well, I was going to say, obviously articulate a point, but that's debatable to a lot of people as well. But being able to convey a message being able to read something on a page, retain what you've read, convey, you know and then be able to convey to somebody else. What is there like? A book report is a big cornerstone of learning because for the rest of your life It's reading the words on the page, but being able to retain what you read Being able to interpret what's being said, and we're doing. We're not able to do this with kids. Kids are falling far behind in reading and math and science, and we're going to see kids they're not ready to move on, and many of them just for the sake of space will be moved on. S o. Arizona was deemed the least safe state according to this, this study, overall, Alaska is number one. And Vermont is number two. So of the score. I believe it's out of 100. Alaska. Got 95. We being number 51, even behind the District of Columbia got an eight As a matter of fact, we're the only state there isn't single digits. And overall. I don't. I don't feel like Arizona isn't safe. And I'm you know, I go out all the time. I wear a mask. I'm around people that are wearing masks. I don't know how we're less safe than other places is that our policies on do questions now are beginning to be asked about The strategy's, um, and were they the right thing to do? 11 question that was asked was of California because They wanted their curious as to if the outdoor dining band Was the problem in increasing the spread in California because it drove people into their homes. "Report, I want you to hear what they're saying about the numbers of covert 19 patients and deaths Dr Joshua Bear with is his Bio Design institute says in a typical year about 12,000. Arizonans will lose their lives to heart disease. Another 12,000 from cancer in right now in Arizona. We have more than 10,000 cold. 19 deaths. So there was approach those those larger numbers of the highest death total in in the state, which is why the vaccines are going out the way they are. And can we vaccinate all this? And this is where the same doctor an easy family is talking about. You know, we have high expectations, but it's early in the vaccine in mind that the number of people getting back to me right now is tiny. It is primarily health care workers and people at very high risk. We're nowhere backseat where've actually nowhere near the number of people that it would take to have an impact on the spread of the virus in our computer Me right now. And we are. I mean, I think most of us understand that until actually, no one expected numbers to drop off right away with the vaccine being two doses and within a month and you just started. You know, it's at least a month before that First group is vaccinated. So we're looking at Um, you know, we're looking at another month or so before we start seeing a significant number of people within that high risk category being vaccinated and being immune, so it's going to take some time. That's you know, part of the issue. The other part of it is we watch the holidays. We knew there was going to be a spike that followed one after the other from Thanksgiving to Christmas. And then a week later with New Year's weekend, with people getting together and and and being in groups where they were saying with the highest risk we've been seeing are watching a big bump from that. Are we plateau ng? Is that starting to plateau? We're looking at the numbers and seeing if they're beginning to level off Especially in the hospitalization and death numbers. Those are the numbers that are the most significant. Remember the goal has always been Not over. Well, that well, no health care system and Dipper try to save as many lives as we possibly can s. So that's what we're looking at right now. And and so we're watching. The covert 19 numbers through every day. I mean, I write them down. We tracked them. Bye bye, Demographic. We're watching the death toll and we're hoping that we're see. Starting to see you're going to see Plateau where we start taking some of the pressure off the health care industry. That is the biggest issue and followed by that we've got to dig out of this economically, so the battle rages on. Should there have been? Should we do another Shut down? Are we past the point of no return there? Some health experts there say we too far into it. Even if we did a shut down now it's you know, we're still pretty far gone and watching these numbers climb. So what? What's the school of thought? We know which way the governor is going to go. We talked with Governor do see yesterday and Governor Ducey said there will be no more shutdowns. We're not going to shut it down again. Um, is a matter of fact, when we this is what he said about the shutdown. There has been a big push from people to do another shutdown, like two weeks shut. It's not gonna happen, and that's that was not gonna happen. All right, so Explain. It doesn't it doesn't affect public health. Okay, I know people want us to do something, and what we're doing is getting re sources and serge staff and to our hospital so that we can care for people that are in need, But you mentioned it. It's about personal responsibility. It's about wearing a mask. It's about being physically distanced. This is the way from Dr Fauci. The CDC on down will tell you is the best way to slow the spread of this. So that is the governor pretty emphatic about another shutdown, So let's go. Let's find out right now. With Taylor Kinter up. She's got breaking news. Katie.

"Run off elections that are happening that will show the balance of power. Will the Democrats have full power in Washington? D. C. What direction with the country go if that were to happen, or are we going to see The Republicans retain the Senate, which in a lot of ways is going to have more than that has more power than a lot of people think when you talk about judicial nominations when you talk about Joe Biden, rubber stamping through June, you know nominees as they said that happened with Trump. We're looking. How many judges were put on the bench? That's those are lifetime appointments. All of that is in the balance. Also, we do know that what's going to come out of the house when it comes to financial bills are going to be very, very as they call them progressive high taxes on the wealthy or those so called wealthy. And S O Will that be? Will there be a stop put in place where the Republicans retain the power of the United States Senate and we still have the election challenge that is going on. As Jamie just alluded to with what's happening in In Washington, D C right now is there are more and more people in the United States Senate More and more Republicans that are jumping on board Ted Cruz and his group is challenging and at least one state the veracity of the election. And this is from the beginning of this I have. I have said I want to see proof. There has to be evidence you're talking about the will of the American people. And so I've asked both sides to take a step back and think about what the other side is feeling like, because this is all just filled with emotion. When, um you know, when the other side of the aisle was furious that Donald Trump became president. They didn't believe he was legitimately the president. There were dozens of Democrats who did not attend the inauguration, believing that he was not legitimately elected. They believe that the Russians stole the election that there was Russian collusion. Well, now, all of a sudden, four years later, the very same people that talked about a flawed system. That was so, um, so weak in security that it could be infiltrated and changed by the Russians. Now believe that we have a rock solid. Election system that can't be compromised and it's it's just you have to at some point, take a step back and say if this group of people truly believes that Donald Trump is not the legitimate president, so much so that they made a public stand by not attending his inauguration. I don't remember any of those people being singled out. As crazy as traders as treasonous. And now if you look what's happening, guy like Ted Cruz have a short memory. Do you remember how contentious the primary and the final The primary was between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump? I do. I was a Cruz supporter. For everybody out there the things that I just hang onto the coat tails of Donald Trump. That's far from the truth. That is far from the truth. I am a trump supporter of the policies that he put in place. I liked a lot of the economic policies for sure, his foreign policy. I liked a lot of what happened during the presidency, but I disagreed with a lot of things as well. But during the primary process, I stumped for Ted Cruz. Traveled extensively with with Glenn Beck and some others around Arizona and stumped for Ted Cruz. But when Donald Trump became the nominee, he was my choice. And when he got elected, he became my president. And I am a trump supporter. But that doesn't mean that I'm going to turn a blind eye to anything that anyone does. That's wrong. And so we've got to keep an eye on that before we go any further. We've got to get it over the Taylor Taylor Taylor Kinter up. She has our breaking news, Katie a our.
