At least 130 COVID-19 false positives turn up at lab

"Are being redone in fall River and tartan after results proved incorrect. Here's W. B C is Karen Regal. The state Department of Public Health says it has identified a reporting issue by a commercial lab, saying test that should have been reported as negative. Were actually reported as positive. The DPH describes a number of tests over a three day period showing negative results instead of positive as quote disproportionate. This would have been between July 30th an August 1st, The tests are now being redone by another independent lamb. This means fall River went from having 8.3 cases per 100,000 people and Taunton went from having 6.5 cases to just over three. DPH says other cities and towns could be affected. Karen Regal W. B

"I'm back with Larry Taunton. Larry, you've written a spectacular article initiated all over social media. I got some blowback talk about that article in the hunger for leadership. In American churches. Thank you, Eric. The article is titled A Letter to American Pastors. America's Pastors in churches You confined in my website, Larry, Alex, talking dot com and on your your social media in mind, I believe that when we look in American history when we see Massive social change for the good in the in the history of this country. It has. It has been the lead from the pulpit. It has been through through sound preaching and teaching the mobilising of America's Christians to bring about social change. And I want to make a distinction between social change social action and so called social justice. They're not the same thing. Black lives matter and the American left. They want to. They want to amputate the gospel from Social action. That's what they did with the Great society in the 19 sixties is that is that social welfare programs that gospel was carved away from it? It'sjust benevolence without the coupling of the gospel to it, Um, I mentioned in this particular piece. Ah book written two generations ago by Francis Schaeffer called a Christian manifesto in which he called for Christians to engage for their pastors to engage and to bring about social action in fright. Shaffer's argument was effectively this that the tree should bear fruit. The Christian tree should bear fruit, and when it does, it's assault that changes society and and he believed that America's pastors I really weren't leading it again. That's it that was published in 1981. I think the same is true today, and I think it's because many of them are woke. Many of them are afraid, but I also think that they're just many of them who just aren't sure what it is that they're dealing with and aren't sure what it is to say, Perhaps beautiful that their own congregations their own leadership won't support them when they do, and so we need to be equipping them. We need to be a mobilizing them so they could turn can mobilize their congregations and change what we're seeing taking place in our country in the form of Of of racism. That's true black lives matter, by the way, Marxism and the evil of anarchy. Reason I have gotten so political in the last couple years is because I have finally woken up to the fact that it's no longer 1980 or 90 95. We're living in a world where the Democratic Party has had power for 50 years and has done tremendous harm the black communities There's just no way around it. And you have to say if I care about the urban poor. I have got to speak up now. By the way. Are you familiar with this woman? Devil in baby who painted over the black lives matter? I did see that. I did see it. I didn't know her name, but I did see that. Yes, yes. Who is gonna be my guest on this program? After you? Awesome? Yes. Now, here you have a black woman lives in New York City loves Jesus and knows clearly that that she has been sold down the river by so called black leaders who Ah, definitely are allied with the most radical arm of the Democratic Party, and she is speaking up as a Christian. That's myself. If the pastor's won't speak, women like this will speak up and God bless her. I cannot wait to talk to her. That sounds terrific. I did see that on social media and how she was being led away in handcuffs by police officers. Yet she continued to proclaim the gospel thie the entire time. I didn't see the whole video, but what I saw was was wonderful. This is the kind I love her passion. Please, Please communicate that to her. There are many of us out here who are so grateful for the passion and for her courage. That's the kind of thing we need to be seen from the pulpit. And you know, I'm not even speaking about those pastors who are woke who are on the left who have long since forsaken the gospel. I'm talking about those who really believe in the truth of Scripture, but I knew ah, week after week are saying true things from the pulpit but not relevant fades from and it was. Luther's point is that you could be preaching very passionately on things that are true, but in that particular moment, just aren't our jemaine to the cultural discussion, and I think that's happening. I think sexuality is another big one and others How many Christians do I know who don't seem to be clear that the scriptural standard is no sex outside of marriage? So if you think Christian's a radical on the issue of homosexuality no, no, no, no, no, it's about all of sexuality. It's a tremendously radical message in a culture like this, it says, countercultural as it gets, and I'm amazed how many young Christians haven't had teaching on this. It's just a bizarre thing and when people don't preach on something It kind of tells you something, right? It tells you that. Well, we don't. We don't want to be too clear on that because we may be misunderstood. But my goodness, we've had a sexual revolution that has destroyed families. What we need to be preaching on that. And it seems that many pastors they shrink from that They'd rather around and talk about how you know we need Thio. Ah, all kinds of things we need to be doing other than focusing on that. Well, you know if you go to the Black Lodge As matter website you will find there what they're about, and they're all about the destruction of the family. As we know it. They're about pushing a very sordid sexual agenda. Interestingly enough, and I believe it was 2013. I published the piece with the Atlantic on defending Phil Robertson, who had made some some comments. About homosexuality being biblically wrong. You'll recall that that the gay mafia came after him and glad came after him. And I forgot any was threatening to take the show off of the air. I'm so sorry that this is a very important point you're making. So we're gonna go to a break.

Developing a Fruit Tree Spray Schedule

"Dig into today's topic with Mike. Bill Taunton who is on the line right now Mike. Welcome to the show today. So Mike when you are working urine Orchard Consultant Tinton when you are working with your clients. What role does do sprays play in terms of protecting fruit trees from Paxton disease? Well they they play a very important role there's a quite a few Insect and disease pass The very throughout the growing season which depending on what part of the continent or world that you're in can begin In late March to early April say in the Great Lakes region and last until October and even into November In some cases and so being able to understand what these insects and diseases are our And how to help your trees withstand the onslaught That can occur from time to time year to year It's really important. Didn't in so doing nothing Is Not really an option in our climate today but by the same token it doesn't have to super intensive as long as we're choosing the right sprays for the right time of the year for the right insect and diseases. It really can help grow healthy tree and healthy fruit so you say doing nothing is not an option and so described to me. What can happen if we just leave our trees please? And just don't don't use any sprays at all well probably the biggest thing that can happen. from a disease standpoint is the trees can get a number of diseases apple scab Cedar Apple Rust There's a new one that we're dealing with called Marcellina leaf blotch. which if they get severe severe can actually defoliate the tree and if the tree defoliants and this usually has started to happen in late July and through through August Probably two or three months before the tree would naturally drop. Its leaves If the tree defoliants it can't photo synthesize and if it can't photo synthesize isn't it can't create the sugars and the nutrients on the compounds that needs to stay healthy as a tree or grow good fruit and by the same token oh can On the insect side there are insects that Can and not just yes. Damage the tree but could can actually kill it There's bores of different types. Will Board into the trunks of the twigs of the tree That if severe enough can can girdle it and eventually just 'cause the treated decline decline if we if we don't do anything Chances are that something will happen And that over you know it could happen quickly quickly but usually it happens over the course of a few years to where the trees can just decline in die he and also if you are growing your trees in urban environmental where there are more you know they're closer together to other trees. These problems spread really quickly from tree to tree. So if one neighbor in a neighborhood is growing a fruit tree and they let it go. Oh all the other trees in the neighborhood will come

Probiotic Myths & Behind the Scenes of Big Pharma with Tina Anderson

"So on today's episode we're talking to again Tina Anderson this sharing more about her journey from working as a lawyer working for a pharmaceutical company and then to finally starting a natural health supplement brand called just thrive in we are discussing how she discovered from the inside some of the shady things about the pharmaceutical industry why most probiotics on the market don't work we're talking about leaky gut again we're talking about the top probiotic miss why don't we jump right in why don't you introduce yourself to the listeners and tell them about your very non-conventional start to getting involved in the natural healthcare space okay sounds great thanks Jane I appreciate it yeah so my journey my career journey has been very interesting on my Cernan out as an attorney I was in litigation for many years and just based on a desire to spend more time at home with my head at the time I had two children I decided to go into our family pharmaceutical business so I was able to be their in house counsel and work with my husband and it was really nice is because we were able to work together and I had a much more healthy lifestyle as far as ours were concerned but after being in the suitable industry for many years we just noticed the abuses in industry you know like the rampant over prescribing medications and one example it always comes to mind is what we were awarded a very very large contract for one of the largest hospital systems in the country for cholesterol drawn and we're also excited and we're celebrating and the pharmaceutical manufacturer came into our office and said this is great we won this contract but now it's my job optical to every cardiologists in the system and get them to lower the number that they prescribed cholesterol meds so in essence they were lowering that number in order to prescribe five more of the medication and yeah I know it's like a part of me was shocked and then another part of me like a light bulb went off in my head and I realized that this was happening around us you know it's like we had family members that started on one prescription van back caused her stomach problems which led to another medication and then lets join issues and that led to another prescription within six to eight months she was on over a dozen prescription medications you know it was crazy and so we saw with our kids you know antibiotic after attic forever ear infection and we've always tried to use natural remedies but we just heard that message over and over again believe me and my kids have been you don't have been on there sheriff antibiotics before I learned about all the impacts the devastating impact on gut health and the scary thing ironic thing is that movies started in the Firma suitable industry you know we'd love knowing that we were in the health field and that we were distributing lifesaving medications people in you know there's no doubt that there is absolutely a place for pharmaceuticals than I never tried to dispute that but especially in like emergency medical type situations but we just didn't feel that it was a place to treat chronic conditions and we saw that first hand with over prescribing of medications so we just started realized that there was no emphasis on prevention it was all focusing on treatment and it was you know became kind of frustrating less than I am a pretty deep thinker Iran I read a lot of Wayne Dyer normative its appeal and he will husband and I just believe that we weren't doing our life's work anymore you know we delved into research I started learning more about natural health than particularly gut health and we were blown away I mean he couldn't believe the impacts that got health had on our overall often this was shortly after the human microbiome project was launched by the conducted by the National Institutes of Health and while you don't learn Taunton it you know what we learn is something that much of your listeners already know that God is related to virtually every aspect of our overall health and ben just by being at the right place at the right time saying my daily affirmations lots of meditating in lots of prayer we were given the opportunity to license eh exclusive rights to bacillus spore base probiotic strains London University and one of the leading probiotic researchers the world and so from there just thrive probiotic was born in it's really it's been the most gratifying rewarding career journey I could ever have imagined and I just and I'm even more excited for what's ahead because as you know we're just scratching the surface for what we know about that hell yeah definitely and it's it's easy because it seems like every week every month every year there is crazy new research that's coming about out about not only the gut microbiome but the skin Orion every other microbiome that we've now discovered that we have right in it's like flipping on it's head all of the research that we thought we had or you know just building in building in making us realize that we really only know about the tip of the iceberg when it comes to probiotics prebiotics and got health and the microbiome and everything so why did you become so passionate about gut health in particular was it that you just started to dive into the research and then you're like oh this is really cool was it some other more personal connection that you had with that yet it was really the what it was I kind of finding out about the pharmaceutical industry and seeing what was happening I saw just going to the doctor's office and they were always like oh well you could take this for my kids whatever that they had an it was an like it just seems like nobody focused on prevention like I had mentioned and I didn't I don't have any personal I didn't have any personal digestive issues or anything like that so it was more just seeing what was happening to everybody around me and and seeing how it was just that was what the answer was you know with other relatives you'd see them go on one medication on twelve fourteen and so and then I just saw the then as we started researching about the guts and we were like Oh my God talk about prevention I mean that is what needs to be taking care of the gut and learning about the National Institutes of Health Study Human microbiome project was amazing learned so much about the gun and I'm like this could be the answer you know just not only as a huge huge answer to so many people's health conditions and just wanted to be a part of that sure that's awesome I mean that's that's a big part of the reason why I also in addition to my own personal health struggles why became so interested in the gut also is because you learn as you're diving into the research and you go through school and everything is like how everything is so connected back to the gut you know not only your physical health but your mental health your emotional health like pretty much everything is rooted maybe not starting in the gut right it's not necessarily the start of all health issues that we all we'll have but there's definitely a connection there oh definitely I mean it's hard to find health condition that's not tied to help your microbiome or your you know what I mean really is yeah and who knows maybe in ten years will find out it's all in the microbiome and there's really nothing else but who now way so speaking of the gut bacteria and everything how did you figure out or what led you to believe that most of the probiotics on the market will work well everything that we John just being in the pharmaceutical industry we did focus on research research was paramount to what we did and we really wanted to just focus on what the research show and so we gelled into more research and we found out through one of my husband's a colleague of his you learned about these bacillus spores and we were like Oh my God this is incredible this is absolutely amazing what we're finding out with these spores and so we started researching it we're finding out that literally none of these other probiotics were were surviving they weren't making it to the intestines alive in fact that was one of the the first thing we did was we wanted to see research so we did a study that was that showed that the majority of probiotics on the market were dying before they ever reached the intestines we on that the that Yogurt Greek yogurt all of those things were dying before they ever got to the intestines and we're like Oh my God this is we don't want to get into the probiotic industry we WANNA get into the best quality product that there is one that actually gets to the intestines alive so everything is always been just based on research right and then why like I guess this will be helpful if you're pharmaceutical background but why is it that companies can actually get away with putting out stuff like that doesn't work at all in the sense that it doesn't actually get to where it's needed in your intestines Yup I disagree question and none of these companies I think went out to decide Oh this time I'm going to try to make a probiotic that doesn't survive or that I know these don't survive so I'm just going to do this. They created these products based on the old science what we used to know about the gut you know like I mentioned the human microbiome pro project showed us more about gut health than we ever knew four and what we found out is that old approach was not really the best it's not what our gut needed and so I think that you know the intention I behind so many of these formulators these companies was not ill will and it was better than what they were doing before but now we have new science that tells us more about what we need to do to really make effect change in the

Massachusetts manslaughter conviction upheld in teen texting suicide case

"Because she supposedly encouraged her boyfriend to kill himself. Oh, wait was this the one he committed suicide, right? Yes. Yeah. This has been in the news a couple of years ago. I think. Yeah. She was sentenced to fifteen months in two thousand seventeen but the judge allowed her rain remained free while she appealed the conviction. She's twenty two years old. And she was escort courtroom in Taunton today and transported to jail last week. The Massachusetts judicial court upheld her conviction saying that her actions caused the death of Conroy d- Conrad ROY the third. You know, when I read this is it just it just breaks, your heart. Not in regard to her going to jail, but. What what she did to her her boyfriend or ex boyfriend? So much power. Carter was seventeen in July of twenty fourteen when she persuaded ROY who was eighteen to kill himself through dozens of text messages and phone calls. Roy died when his pickup truck filled with carbon monoxide in the store parking lot. She wrote in one text listen to this. You can't think about it. You just have to do it. You said you were going to do it. Like, I don't get why you aren't. I mean, she's tasks -tising him for hesitating. She texted him on the day. He died. She texted you keep pushing it off and say, you'll do it. But you never do. It's always gonna be that way. If you don't take action. Received a case received international attention and provide a disturbing look at teenage depression and suicide both Carter and ROY struggled with depression in Royat previously tried to kill himself. And this is this is I think this is key. Their relationship consisted, mostly of texting and other electronic communications. I mean, she was face to face with this guy. You think she'd be saying that urging him on perhaps not who? I mean, we don't know. But I just don't think so. Yeah, it's difference. When different when you're talking to somebody only hearing or seeing them face to face. Read my kids, my kids, and I repeat on texting sometimes in the sometimes I'll go are you serious because I don't know you can't read sarcasm. Yeah. On texting? Yeah. Unless sometimes you can put your little emoticons, wink, wink, or something. But you don't do this this Michelle Carter, she wasn't the, you know, she wasn't the weapon, but she was the impetus. I think. I I don't think that her boyfriend wanted to kill himself. He had tried and failed. And was hesitant in doing this. And she kept on egging him on until he finally did it. And that's sad. I can't imagine. I can't imagine being the parent. Of this young man that killed himself. I just. How would how how would you not be filled with whole boatload of anger towards this woman? I mean. I I've never heard whether she was she's if you ever had the argument while I was just kidding him. I was kidding them. I never heard that. Did you? I didn't either. I think though, you know, if he was someone who had tried to commit suicide prior, you don't mess around that at all. No, no. That you just do not take lightly. Why she would come on? What what what what good would come out of it him killing himself? How would she benefit from that? I know in a very crass way. Yeah.
