"And then to link it to all your earlier struggles, I think is a little bit much. Okay, speaking of struggles. What about inter Miami? They lost one nothing to FC Cincinnati over the weekend, or by the way, first in the Eastern Conference. Joseph Martinez did not score in this game, obviously. In her Miami didn't score. That's now 5 straight games without a goal for Joseph Martinez, something that has never happened to him before in Major League Soccer. Herc, are you preaching calm? Or alarm? For inter Miami and Joseph Martinez amid this scoring drought. Oh, I think it's alarm time. Now, it may be that into Miami got Joseph Martinez at a discounted rate. And maybe that Atlanta is paying for a large portion of that salary, but he still taking up a space on the field for you. And yes, he may be only 29 years of age, but he doesn't look like a spry 29. If you watch him play recently, he looks like he's laboring. He doesn't look fit. He doesn't look like the same Joseph Martinez of the Atlanta days under Tata martino. And I understand, maybe he won't be that Joseph Martinez going forward. That Joseph Martinez, who completely took the league by storm, a goal scoring ratio capacity that we've not probably seen since Robbie Keane. That may not be the Joseph Martinez we have going forward. This is a Joseph Martinez who looks like since his injury. I should say 10,017, a player who's missed extensive time. In three different seasons, whether it was his hamstring or twice because of

"They play Saturday night last time as well. There was a miss penalty kick in that game. It wasn't this bad. The first half was as bad as I see Mexico play. In recent memory, that hole right hand side and we'll get into individual performances for Mexico, abysmal. There were some performances today that if it was later on in the cycle, last cycle in that stretch, you would have never seen those players again. So it's a C minus. You got the win, two zero. You should win. But because he opened his mouth and he said, it matters how you play. That wasn't indicative of how Mexico should play. You could say whatever you want. If you take a cochlear, just don't say it matters how you play. What matters is how you win. Mao quick rebuttal. So I understand why the said what he said. I believe results number one number two. If anyone was expecting to see a good performance in terms of form, Matt, nuts, crazy. I mean, we were not going to see that with this team with so little time to train. So I think Eric is being really, really, really harsh, really, really hard. Because the opponent or because you don't expect in any dimension. I hate to agree with her here, but everything you could apply that you're saying about Mexico, they haven't been together. It applies to Suriname as well, now, right? Yeah, but we're not focusing on certain end right now. And it's not like Mexico play the war's Nick game. Again, perky. Herge is very disappointed because of what Diego coca said, and he didn't like the format. I don't like it either. But I always wanted to respect it for this game that he said. If 8 years, 8 years from today, things look like that. Then yes, we have all the ride to be tough on the coca. Not after the that's why he got to see minus. That's not a D and son and F because at the end of the day, these aren't new players. And if we want to generational change, if that's what we're asking for, because I think that's what everybody's asking for. You're going to take your lumps. But please, give credit to Suriname they played very well, but none of this, they all play in Europe. They play in the some of those players playing Budapest Cyprus. First and second division in Cyprus, by the way, first and second division in the era de vizier, only one player in the area de vizier, an MLS player, one Bundesliga player Geraldo Becker, a player in Greece, one in Sweden. There are levels to Europe and you could say what you want about them, but sabi's right. Everything you're applying to Mexico, oh, they've only been together so many days. That's what we got to say about Suriname as well. Sorry, I blacked out. Did he just say Stevie's right? I blacked out. What happened? All right, I don't know about you guys. Be mine and see minus pretty good where I come from. This was bad to me. This felt like watching Tata martino's Mexico in World Cup qualifying. And unlike you Mao, I was hoping to see something different. Maybe that's unrealistic, but I was hoping to see something different for that. I'm giving it a D minus, man. We saw, we saw no intensity and frankly against an opponent that Mexico should dominate. Okay, you don't bring intensity against ornament. I can kind of understand that. We should at least see quality, guys, and we did not. We did not see quality from this Mexico team. So if you're going to tell me that that's worth a B minus, I want to go to school where you went to school now, because that's an easy, easy grade, easy grade. All right, let's get to the big questions here. Three questions here that the big three questions coming off this Mexico to nothing win. Over Suriname. First, let's talk strategy overall strategy because Diego koka decided in this window to basically split his roster was dividing the roster here for three, the right decision now by Diego coca.

"Just say Diego coca the new manager just force that generational shift to say we're going to do it this way? Right. I think it's two reasons and you talked about the U.S. at the last World Cup being one of the youngest teams. Mexico is one of the oldest teams, right? So we're talking about two ends of the spectrum here in the approach on team building. And I would argue that the U.S. obviously did better. They got out of their group, whereas Mexico didn't for the first time since 1978. Now there's a new guy in charge, as you mentioned, Diego coca. And for this first couple of competitive fixtures in the Concacaf Nations League, he's essentially respecting the base of players that went to the last World Cup. That's interesting because on one hand, you can understand that by saying, okay, these are competitive matches. This is the nation's league. This is not a couple of friendlies. But the level of teams that you're going to be facing at the concatenations league should allow you to experiment a little bit and kind of bring forth some of the new blood that you want to see. With memo choa, I think that there's going to be opportunities for Carlos acevedo there to kind of unseat him and allow him to play. I think there's already been extensive discussion as to whether he's going to start one of those two Nations League games. And I do believe that that's going to happen at the same time, we just talked about it, it's not just one guy that needs to unseat memoir choa. You need to have depth at every single position and goalkeeper is such an important position in modern football that you can't really depend on the young buck that's coming up 26, 27 years old. And then behind him, the guy that's going to be 41 years old. You need more options. And it's interesting you say that because Greg berhalter, the ex U.S. miss national manager, essentially had the same decision for the World Cup. His guy was Zach Stephan, and he said, hey, Zach, you're not even going as one of the three. Zack Stephen argued we could have been better than Ethan horvath or Sean Johnson, but he wanted to give Matt Turner a peace of mind that this is yours. You're the guy, so he left Zach Stephan out. And it's a difficult process, but because of Tata martino, what he did essentially Mexico now, this next World Cup will have zero players under 26 years of age with World Cup experience. So I understand that and if I may, I think the reason Diego coca doesn't do this right now is because that martino did a number with Mexican national team that he can't afford not to win the nation's league. He can't afford not to win gold cup. It could be his job, so he's got to go with whoever he thinks is the best team now. So listen, memo choa, if you guys see that 6 World Cup, I'll raise a Bud Light in his honor. It's not going to be easy, but it will set him apart. He will be the only player on this earth to do so. My man Eric Gomez of ESPN, I really appreciate you being with us, my man. Thank you. Thank you so much. And again, congratulations. This is a huge deal. I'm so happy to be one of the first guests here and hopefully we can talk soon about more things regarding the Mexico national team. Mama.

"Still talking. Yes, former Mexico's manager during an interview with tomi argue was asked about the things that worry him during his time as a national team manager and he took time to criticize a few things that happened during his time as Mexico's manager. Take a listen. They love all coming. But they say terminal and a lot of the. Phone. The internal internal. And quite a lot of the portal. In 2018, in parallel, and to the post, one of the most important. Covering a lot of ground there should he get lost. Can I ask you this question? Sure. Should he get lost? Yeah. Of course. Why? I mean, okay, let me start with this. I don't like it that he's talking now. I don't like it. He had a chance. He spoke as well. Well, he was asked many, many times regarding the things that should change. And he was very hesitant of being this open regarding the things that he didn't like as a manager. If he has, if he would have been more upfront, more open, regarding this issues, maybe the perception that we had during the World Cup would have been different. And I know he doesn't he doesn't care about the perception that we have of him, but I think he was important that everything that he's been saying now after the fact that he shared that with the people in charge. Those people are not even there anymore. During the release is not there anymore. Any more heavier dialysis is not going to be there. So, I mean, yeah, he should get lost. I mean, why are you talking now? Stop. Okay. Stop. You got paid. You're out. Stop. Here's why he shouldn't get lost. You voiced your, you've expressed your opinion on him. Needing to voice his in that moment. There was a meeting and assembly of ownership groups. He got in front of all of them and told them the same things. It was reported back then and it was reported again by our very own Maori sui Mai. So he's already reiterated his time and time again. I'm noticing a lot of sentiment from the general public and most mostly on the media side, like, oh, look at this. Surprise, you're telling us something we already didn't know. Just because he's repeating it doesn't mean that it's not true. And the worst part is he's repeating it because nothing's changed. But here's a problem. The way nothing changed with Juan Carlos, the way I didn't change the first story. With those before him and those people for him and those before him. The bigger problem is, every time he's been asked about why things didn't go his way during the World Cup, right? It's network his fault. It's never him. I'm still waiting. Who hear from Tata martino? You know what? I made a mistake. My tactics for that Argentina game were so bad. We're really, I made a mistake. My coaching staff, we never got to understand the players. Yeah, who's asked them? This is the thing, and I agree with you. Oh, he was asked so many times. Listen, listen really quickly, okay? We had the production meeting and our producer beto actually brought up a very great question. He's been interviewed so many times. Nobody has asked him, hey, what did Luis Chavez mean when he said before the Argentina game, they didn't know what you were doing. They didn't know how you wanted them to play. Why has no one to have the opportunity to ask them, ask them? Because every time they get questions like this, Tata martino and other managers, not only him, other managers, they go, I'm not going to talk tactics with journalists. I don't do that. They don't do that. No, they don't do this. They don't want to talk about it. Well, they don't want to talk more. They feel like journalists when they ask the question. They're not at the same level. And they don't want to talk more with them. That's a bit of insecurity. So Mexican journal. No, there's not insecurity. I'm not saying, don't wear that. I am wearing a sack. That's fine. I'm totally fine. I'm totally fine. But I'm still waiting. I'm still waiting for Tata martino. All right, all right. To go public and say, I'm sorry, I was bad. I met a mistake. I'm still waiting. Now, you just heard how he expressed himself about Diego Linus. The fact that he had to come back to Mexico to keep on his playing career. Diego liners was on ESPN earlier, this Thursday, and he was asked regarding those Tata martino comments. This is what he had to say about it. You can also look correct. I am puerta. So as many as we facilitate. And we are maintaining an opportunity. Allows us to join us in medicine. That was also part of the things that Tata martino said regarding how much money has been paid in the local market for Mexican players. He's the exception. One of the exceptions to that rule, but clearly bothered by the words of Tata martino. Shot fire here? Absolutely shots fired. By Linus or by Tata, which one do you want to go now? You can send me whatever you want, yeah. Listen, I'm going to leave this last part where he said, if I had to do it all over. I would. And why wouldn't you? And if you think, for one second, that Diego line is somehow had to stay in league I met his finishes processor for him to be a better player and then triumph in Europe if that was going to make a difference. You're wrong. Plenty of good players leave their domestically get a very young age and sink or swim in Europe, sometimes it doesn't work out, but sometimes it does, but you'd rather be a young player, irony. You'd rather be a young player honing your skills, okay? Sharpening iron. In Europe, then waiting back and hoping I got better. They think I'm good enough. And then go, do it again ten times over. Well, I was actually going to go to that because we keep hearing this narrative that Diego Linus chose Betty's over Ajax and how Ajax being more of a development. Development club, right? That would have been a better option. Maybe he didn't even make that decision. He just said it. Betty's came and paid $50 million. That was the decision made by global America. Yeah. Ajax never offered that money. Offered. And the $50 million? Maybe it was not in his hands to decide where he was going to go. Listen, the more I hear Mexican players talking about Tata martino, the more I feel that I am right with my criticism towards the manager. Because everything that we have said, during his tenure and after he's Daniel, now that the Martinez no longer there, a lot of players are combing out and just ripping the manager. So maybe it wasn't that wrong. Maybe it wasn't the wrong. You could say I'm wrong. Maybe it wasn't the right. I'm not saying that is right for how we coach. I am telling you he's not wrong for what he said about Mexican football. Two different things. Yes. Two different things. By the way, they were Linus. Lifting. Strong. What's he lifting? Slippers. He's strong. He's good. This is good. I like the old line is. He's going to do well with tigress. Time to check

"AC became the first Haitian club to win a match and cock a gaff Champions League era since 2008, 2009 with their three zero drubbing of Austin FC. Austin decided to make 8 changes in history was made. And it's three. Feel at leads three zero. One of the most stunning score lines in the modern era of Champions League. Violet's AC was plus 3200 to win. So Bud Light to them. Let's take a look at some of the most attractive games for this week and see how much you can win. Take them individually or as a parlay. Real Madrid versus espanol under two and a half total goals pays plus one 30 Cesar montes, Mexican national team center back and his espanol take on Los Blancos. Rao has won 8 of his last home games recessed by Neal and the under 2.5 market has hit in total of 7 of the 8 last La Liga games for Madrid. You secure that one. Moving on, shock key versus Dortmund, over three and a half goals, pays plus one 65, listen, the last four games between the two have combined for three goals a game. All Dortmund goals and shocking has been playing better. Still in the relegation battle, but they've gotten massive results, including two straight wins where they've scored two goals in each and Dortmund has just come from losing to Chelsea in the Champions League Final. There will be goals in this game. D.C. United versus Orlando, D.C. United to win at plus one 20, I don't like picking DCU normally, but Orlando's plane on the road, and it's certainly going to be a big squad. All eyes on that CCL return leg versus deegan is at home, Wayne Rooney's D.C. can ill afford to drop points at home. They just lost on the road. They looked woeful, by the way, so expect D.C. to come back big versus a mixed Orlando squad. So there's three bets for you right there to drop that bag. If you want to parlay the three, that's plus 1270. You bet $10, you get a $137 payout. That Martina was in the news again. I love me some Tata martino. He never disappoints. Recently sat down with tamia say South American reporter slash podcaster from Dallas, Texas, and what was actually a very good sit down interview with Dada. But our main man Tata is getting roasted online. Among the many topics discussed, we're taught to passing blame for his abysmal outing in Qatar without three. That blame being directed at league I met and the influx of four talents, and then in what many in the Mexican media are saying was Tata drooling over MLS, even citing that MLS was key in the MMA midfield. Yes, the MMA midfield for the U.S. men's national team, Tyler Adams, Eunice Musa, Weston McKinney. What Tata never cited was his involvement in one of the worst moments in Mexican football in history. A dreadful World Cup qualifying campaign, Mexico not being able to beat Canada the U.S. Costa Rica. In Estadio steca and capping it off by snapping a streak of getting out of the World Cup group face for Mexico, a strict that dated back to 1986, let us have a cold Bud Light for our manta. "So two parts. Yeah. You can just really do this. Seriously. And then I started thinking to myself, well, just based on why because it's petty? No, no, no. I'll get to the payment plan in a second when I speak to martino. But when I started thinking about them, if you erase Tata martino's name and just put the resume, that's a very good resume. Head coach of Barcelona, head coach of the paraguayan national team, the Argentine national team, head coach of the Mexican national team. There are a lot of elements there where you're like, this is a very attractive coach. But it's Tata martino. This is the same guy who couldn't be bothered to go to Leah and Mickey's games. Wanted to stay in Argentina, who left devote Jimenez at home because he didn't think it could help him. Why? Because he's never seen him play. The same guy who resented Mexican football after everything. But now Diego coca just made $4 million net, which is one of the best salaries in Latin America, coaching digress. So yes, databases will be like, well, this doesn't sound bad. Yeah. I'm in my own little bubble. Here with the ratios in a beautiful team with the ability to win titles and I get paid like a king. Yeah, but the thing is, he just came from like a high pressure situation. Yeah, he'll be in a bubble, but it's a bubble with a lot of pressure in monterrey as you well know. Maybe if you're not one much. Okay. Sorry. I'm really going to go down that road because I will go down that road and I will play your hands, sir. Here's the issue with Tata martino and this is why in one of many issues. Yeah, one of the many issues, but Tata martino, like you spoke about being petty, could I essentially see him doing this? No. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said the high pressure situation. I think he's over with everything Mexican football. And I think he should be. He's like for his own mental health. It's a kind of, yeah, exactly. To kind of take a step back, not have to honestly, yeah, deal with the Mexican media at the end of the day, which was a high, high pressure situation. Go back to the MLS. Why not? He was very happy. He was really happy. I could see that happening. Yeah, absolutely. All right, let's go to the next question. All right, who

"Of course with the experience that he had. It's good at least to know what he's signing up for the old car. Yeah, listen. Different perspective than maybe the majority of us could give him. I'm sure when Tata martino speaks to him, he will speak to the fact of what it's like as a foreign manager coaching the Mexican national team and kind of navigating these heavy waters. I spoke about it not being too much of a change in 26.5 years for Diego coca 28.5. So it's two full years puerta Martin in the World Cup. You're leaving out players who are on their way out anyways. We're going to be part of this program. He would have been 43, turning 44. Court that would have been 38. Guadalajara have been like 39. So you're really not changing too much. That's why there's a slight difference there in age. But he's trying to send a message, do you think? Honestly, it's a very political message of his what he's saying because he goes out and says, listen, if you're on this list, doesn't mean you're going to stay on this list. And if you're not on this list, it doesn't mean you can't be with us. So he's very political in the way he goes about this, even when he talks about him in terms of that valuable insider knowledge. Yeah, absolutely. And we looked at this list, right? We were talking about the young ones that, of course, we haven't seen a lot an example of the name that jumps out to me as Alfonso Gonzalez. And speaking of, we kind of want to go over which names surprised us at the end of the day. You mentioned a few, but who was the biggest surprise for you? I would have to say it's Roberto de la rosa. When you look at Roberto de la rosa is a player that's

"Fans. That is a great thing. Yeah. Complaining about their fans, not being as real as your fans because maybe your fans booed you or because maybe your fans got a president fired and got somebody else in place. That's not something necessarily do you can say is a great thing. You can say it's good that they care, but to compare it against Atlanta United and what they have, that's where he misses me with that. I love Jim Curtin. That's all I'm going to say to start my point right here, but I think that was lame. That was absolutely lame. On cult four. If there's a rivalry between organizations, Philly and Atlanta, that's totally fine. I'm here for it. I love Ryan Reese. I love managers taking jabs at other managers. The story fine. But you get a peek your battles because he could have picked so many other things about the Atlanta United as organization to go hard at that they don't have their own stadium that the turf is terrible. It costs a lot of sad, long-lasting injuries that they have spent a lot of money in players and the results are not there. He could have picked a lot of different things. Not the fence. Well, he knows exactly what he's going for. He's by no means a dummy. This man's not intelligent people and Major League Soccer, but what I'm trying to say, he knows exactly what he's doing. And if there's one model that's the exact opposite affiliate. Exactly. Exactly. So he knows exactly where he's going with this. Yeah, but that's why I said it's just linked to go at the fence. Because by the way, to your point, I think it speaks volumes of the fan base that is just not the locals that go there. If the party is great, that's exactly what you want. That is a league, right? As an entity. That is exactly that to one that your product, even though the results are not great for Atlantic. If the party is great, and you have 50,000 people spending the spending $200 of food and beer. I believe it was 60,000 this weekend in LA. So think about this with losing seasons that they've had after Tata martino. They've been able to not only keep their fan base, but generate new fans with losing seasons with poor results. And spending a lot of money on players. That speaks volumes of what they're doing right and you should applaud that. All right, we'll stick to Atlanta United. Gonzalo Pineda is the manager, right? And he was asked about the differences between coaching and league IMA keys and Major League Soccer. Now granted, he's never been a manager or a coach in Mexican soccer. After he retired from playing in Major League Soccer, he stayed at Seattle Sanders as an assistant, and now is the head coach at Atlanta United. This is what he had to say to the quote, I don't think there are many young Mexican coaches getting the opportunity out there. I think their processes are cut off extremely quickly. Right now we can see that it's barely week 5. And already two coaches are out. That is not very common in Major League Soccer here. They give you time to work and for a young coach, the short term kills you because they want you to be in the tough places in four games. In

"One of fight spirit. Never backing down. It's not about quality. It's not about talent. These type of this type of culture that he's alluding to and savvy Salazar, this is not my take. This is sebi's take, which I 100% agree. Years ago, he said you could never have that culture because there is no pickup culture. This goes, this goes to what you and I know of Mexican culture when it comes to footballing culture, which is way alike. It's part of the everyday fabric, and so it's important and part of the fabric and there's a pickup culture wherever you look, it's being played like that, you're not going to have the culture he's talking about. You can have certain type of players that may help you win. They may understand what certain cultures are about, but you won't have as a whole a country of over 360 million with an installed culture when it comes to their sport yet. So he takes a lot of easy outs here. He does. I'm going to take away that I had when reading this article was, when you have an interview with someone who had his position, right? You expect that he would have an idea of the things that need to be done, change in order to what, as he said, to take the next step. But he went really, really, really wide on the topics that he brought to the table. Because he first started talking about talent. Thank you, talk about culture. Then he talked about system, right? That's three completely different things. And my question was, if all of those things need to be changed, then this idea that I at least had, right, that the U.S., the U.S. soccer, the U.S. men's national team, the senior team, was on the right path on the right track towards the World Cup in 2026. Maybe it isn't that so. Maybe things are not quite well as me as an outsider. And you know this by listening to a lot of our colleagues on not only ESP and the portraits but other networks when we compared the Mexican national team and the U.S. men's national team is, oh, those guys, the U.S. men's national team, they are way ahead of where the Mexican national team is. And I thought of that. But now by reading this article, things maybe are not as clear as we thought they were. Well, that's how he ends the article when he's asked if he would change anything structurally internally and he said no. I think that's where you lack self awareness if your Ernie Stewart, a little self reflection. I will aching this to Tata martino Tata martino and his exit interview if you will with the Mexican federation. Stated things you obviously already knew. Accepted no blame, no responsibility. I'm out the door peace out, enjoy. Now what do you make of his assessment of Greg Berg halter as a manager? When he says, we had a good World Cup, things that we did were good. If you take away the scoreboard and the goals, we perform well. What do you make of that? It was just excuses. Listen, he brought in Greg berhalter, so he bears responsibility for grip where holder. If the bar, the minimum, because of 2018 and the failed World Cup objective was to get to the World Cup a and B, get out of the group. That's what they did. And if that's a success to him, then there's your success. Now, is it a success for everybody? No, not necessarily. Was it a good World Cup? Sure. No, was it a great World Cup? No. But wasn't making the round of 16, the bar? Not for this team. Getting out of the group was the bar for this team. And they made it very clear. So by stating your objects. Part of the process, right? Yes. They met expectations. But by seeing this player pool and I would add, by just watching the games, I mean, you had a ridiculous second half where things came crashing down against wells. You could have lost a game. You very lucky to get out of way with the point. You played a worldly against England, still didn't beat them. You tie. And you beat Iran. That's your World Cup. That's your World Cup. You did the bare minimum. And I think that that was the Greg berhalter era, sans Mexico. He said, he also said we're he took over, right? That was probably the worst time in U.S. soccer recent history after not qualifying to the World Cup in 2018. Leaving the bar of the round of 16 I thought it was like reasonable expectations. Now, he keeps talking about player development, talent development. What about coach because he was asked about Greg beholder's successors and he didn't want to commit an answer to that, right? So if there's a conversation to be held about player development and player talent, what about coaching for the U.S. men's national team? Well, he washed his hands of it. You know, he doesn't want to comment on if there's a short list or not. Because that's not on him anymore. It bears repeating that at this exact moment in the U.S. soccer landscape, the U.S. men's national team has no coach. No general manager per Ernie Stewart is to choose the head coach and no sporting director that one would assume would choose the general manager. It shows you where it is. Yeah, you guys are too negative, sometimes with your team. I understand this is a critical situation. I'm not downplaying it, right? You haven't failed out of those positions, cruise ship positions, things are not looking great. But I mean, I still struggle with the thought that what we're true expectations were those expectations met and the talent, the pool of players, some of us believe is actually better than some of you guys think. Well, but that's what we do. I guess some of those things got out of it. All right, talking about talent and players,

We heard from the head of the fed Jay Powell, he was basically saying that the time for moderating the pace of those rate hikes may soon come as next or come as soon as next month I should say. So with a smaller magnitude reduced to velocity, call it what you want, may give the fed a little bit more flexibility, and maybe some more control to potentially avoid the worst case scenario for the economy. We saw a drop in yields right across the treasury curve today. We've got a two year now at 4.31% of the Tokyo session, a ten year at 360 one, which is pretty much where we were at the end of New York trading, but the other thing the second order effect of the drop in yield. Well, there were two actually, one, a rally in equities, two, a much weaker dollar. Now the dollar does remain quite a bit weak in Asian trading after falling 7 tenths of 1% in New York trading the Bloomberg dollar spot is down another three tenths of 1%. Flip side a much stronger Japanese yen, one 36, 75. We also have a rally in the Korean yuan up about 1.4% against the greenback. In Hong Kong, we've got the hang seng trading up by about 2.4%, a lot of positivity in terms of sentiment as it relates to China and a possible shift in the company's strategy as it relates to COVID, basically a health official, the top official in on the mainland indicating that combating the virus has entered a new phase. We've got strength in the offshore Chinese currency or we did, the onshore is stronger offshore now giving back a little bit after quite the rally in New York trading, offshore we're trading 7 spot zero 6 zero 5 against the dollar. Right now in Sydney, ASX 200 had 9 tenths of 1%. I mentioned the strength in South Korea, the Cosby is up about half of 1%. We do have a rally as I mentioned in the Korean Juan, some trade data for South Korea that was a bit disappointing and the manufacturing PMI for South Korea for the month of November also short of forecast, but we are now or I should say in contraction for a 5th straight month in the South Korean manufacturing PMI. We'll take another look at markets in 15 minutes. Ed Baxter has a look at global news headlines. Ed. All right, thank you very much, doctor

This is a Bloomberg business flash. Quite a robust rally in the Asia Pacific here at the moment if you look at futures, and even the cash markets and the limited market action we see the nikkei up one and a half percent, the SX 200, up one full percent by now you've heard a lot about the fed chief Jerome Powell indicating a slowing down of the pace of rate hikes. But what about what's happening in China? China is amending its COVID approach and we heard from the vice premier soon line. So this is not an official of the health commission. This is about as high as you can get except for the general secretary himself saying and actually putting this on omicron saying that as omicron becomes less severe, the anti virus fight can move into a new stage and thus the amending the COVID approach. So investors feasted on that, Alibaba was up 9.6% that was precisely what the NASDAQ golden dragon China index was up 9.6%, and that's a lot more than the gains we saw on Wall Street. So perhaps to global investors, the reopening of China, if indeed that's what's happening, it's just as important. If not even more important than the fed indicating a slightly slower pace of rate hikes. We'll get to some of the numbers when we look at markets again in 15 minutes. That's a check of market action.
