"The crowd ravaged for something great to happen. Allan goes back to pass. He throws a moonball to the center of the field. It was intercepted on. Everybody would just go nuts in terms of kansas city fans in terms of yeah man. This is it. This is what. I'm talking about comeback. Here we go and come on come on buffalo. Don't give me some both like no big deal big deal. Y'all were getting nervous. I know you getting nervous. Don't play like no big deal. You got get nervous when you do that. Interception you will like all shit go out. They go down here and score now is going to be what thirty twenty six to two point conversion shit and they're still twelve minutes left to go. Aw shit we seen. Patrick mahomes do this nonsense before. Aw shit so again. He threw the ball under pressure intercepted but flag on the play in. It was like you've got to be. I have no stake in the game. Washington football fan man. You think i give a rats ass about buffalo and kansas city mighty may going nowhere this year with the defense that we're playing so i saw that flag on a field. You gotta be fucking killing me this either going to be holding or the worst russet roughing penalty pass a call i've ever seen in my life. Roughing the passer personal allah freight clark. Casey would have had the ball on this forty one yard line so instead of getting that ball the momentum everything down the toilet in a bills to your credit to your credit took advantage of that ridiculous call. Horrible awful call. Josh allen is what about six five six six so around there to thirty to forty. And you're gonna protect he said flipping tarkenton. Come on man again. Hey the believe makers. People come to see the quarterbacks to send the other josh allen rightfully so is one of the marquee names the elite quarterbacks. I get all that but damn man can we stop treating this guy like. He's sitting lachmann and terms those stature. The man is six foot five. The meal it side to side the linebacker. The man is bigger than safeties and cornerbacks. Cornerback don't want to have nothing to do with him. You remember downplay where he leapt over. That cornerback demanded won't have anything to do with him. In terms of squaring up pulling him down altitude flipping big. And you're gonna treat this guy like he's a wave come on again. I understand you got to respect the quarterback. I understand you. Hit the guy ahead and understand if you know you it. The football passing the football. You can't take a step or two and then tackle them. I did all those things but man. We've got to start using a little bit more common sense. We need to start treating quarterbacks and a little bit differently because you take a look at the size of these quarterbacks that are playing the game now these guys again or about the size of middle linebackers again protect them. But don't pay me. These guys in that was a flippin baby call buffalo. You know there's too you know this too and again kansas city. They couldn't make the stop. Buffalo took advantage of it light. Great football teams do so touchdown one on a game clinching. Eighty five touchdown drive lasted nearly eight minutes. Couple of third-down convergence. Oh well you know what. Championship teams great teams. Overcome bed calls great team championship teams. Take advantage of bad calls. What are we. Stand up to five weeks. I thought about great teams versus great teens. Which one right now right now right now right now. Kids city in buffalo is a eighteen..

"Is just this. Is the business not. Everybody has to 401k. Not everybody's comfortable with being a day trader but you get into the lebron. It's about winning now. And by the way he's delivered he got the lakers. A title got cleveland and title got miami titles and next year. Although i think they're too old they'll be good. They'll be relevant. They'll be viable and depending on colli. Leonard health and the growth of the sons or clippers. They may end up again winning the west. I don't i don't think they're going to win. The title wouldn't be shocked this morning if you told me yeah. Who's in the western conference. Finals lakers are one of the teams. I wouldn't be shocked as long as is healthy. I wouldn't be shocked is amazing though went back this morning. Look at the entire roster. They're all gone and that crazy coach is gone. No you're right like this is i. I really believe this started in miami. Once the aging of that rosser started to begin and then when he went to cleveland's from that point forward. You're going to have to do what lebron lebron wanted. But he's he's delivered brought to cleveland which we thought was impossible and now he's in los angeles in the same thing so a story that we talked about earlier. Izak wilson is the young quarterback at. Byu he has had had a rough weekend is not been good in camp. He does look to me. he looks small. We showed some of the tapes of his struggle. He just looks small. And it's not cuyler. Murray small to russell wilson's not ideal. Size drew brees wasn't big. So i'm not saying you know fran tarkenton. When i grew up as a kid in the seventies was great. He was small running around not to be huge. I'm not that's not what i'm saying. But he looks a little overwhelmed and a little small. And i wanna play a bite from mark sanchez. Mark sanchez is now a member of fox. Sanchez was on our show about a about a month ago and he talked about now mark. If you recall went to new york at usc and had success in the first two or three years he got to the afc championship twice. He had a running game. He had a great defense but but he talked about you. Know even from usc which glamour college program la right in the middle of la that comes from byu which is small town. Provo beautiful place by the way but sanchez talked about the challenges of playing for the new york jets. Every time you go into a press conference which is at least twice a week as the quarterback in new york. They got a debrief you on. What's out there so you're just constantly dealing with a With a sensationalize media market With with superlative media market right it's either best to worst and there's no middle ground. There's no eight eight doesn't exist like it doesn't matter that might as well be own sixteen on seventeen right. The rosser isn't nearly as close to where we were my rookie year. All these guys that would make plays to make up for my. You know insufficiency at the time. You know my ineptitude. At the time it's going to be a struggle here and the other thing is one of the crazy things is you can never really gas. I mean did any of you think tom. Coughlin will end up beating ballot check in brady twice in the super bowl many coast at boston. College us they beat notre dame once i remember when notre dame was number one. I remember that but nobody would've guessed cranky old. Tom coughlin would be a great. Nfl coach we have no idea on on robert sala. So i've said this. "It is. Don't let quarterbacks go. You just tell the Shawn Watson we're tagging you. But the thing is One thing I want to get in with their and our guest from Houston. What has happened? They just signed a four year contract extension very lucrative, or he asked for a no trade clause. In the deal, and here he is less than a year later, asking not only to waive the no trade but to actually be traded. So what has happened to the Shawn Watson? In Houston. And what kind of guy is he really? Are we gonna blame this all on the dysfunctionality, the Houston Texans and Texans and what they're doing there, But I think one thing you have to look at. If you do it, you know, go to try to get to Sean. Is. Does he fit in this locker room? Jimmy is such a good guy is to Sean. A good guy. You know why you see after the signing this huge contract where he vowed to stay forever, and I don't want to know I want to. I don't want to be traded. I wanna know trade. What? Why is he asking to be traded less than a year later? May have one. That's a comp. It's a while ago, but friend Tarkington went from the Vikings to the giant gash. He was 26 in 1967 and the Giants gave up to first and two seconds Now. Tarkington obviously later came back, but he came back and played well with them. Yeah, What's pretty amazing about that is two of the picks became Ron Jerry, their offensive tackle out of USC and guard Ed White number one. Overall, they were pretty good. Great good picks. Yeah. Yeah, he went to the Giants. I think that's when wait. Y a. Tittle retired right around there. And you know, he started with Minnesota. Then he left And then when he was gone, you know Joe Kapp, our guy from Cal. What we love Joe. Check over and got him into Super Bowl forwards. They lost and then they brought But Grant brought him back in 72. Then you know what? It's Tarkenton gofer and Super Bowl so for three because Capt lost one About Tarkenton did lose three Super Bowls there. See, I knew we'd come up with more job. Okay? There's one more holy didn't remember. I didn't even realize Francis Tar content this well, I didn't realize the 40. Niners traded so much to get Jim Plunkett. They traded three first round picks and a second rounder. The Patriots for Jim Plunkett in 1976. Three first in a second for punches. Bad is the O. J trade What they look like Joe Thomas gave up to get O. J. O. J was on cocaine and his name was shot, but wow, See you're good. Coming up with God. I'm trying to find a Plunkett's now. Didn't he wind up landing on his head with the 40? Niners played better than you think. And they keep showing that one clip and he wound up to be a two time Super Bowl winning quarterback at his next texted. That's right. So yeah, that's right. Good work, shark and tenants. I'm trying. Keep going, like Was there a lot of pixels more problems with how much you had to give up its allies. So, yeah, all right Center of the whole thing. Erin Wilson does a great job covering the Texans and the NFL for the Houston Chronicle. He'll give us the latest on the Shawn Watson, who today if you missed it. Has officially said he'd like to be traded. We'll do it next on here on the SportsCenter. Take pop in Lund to the house. Your house?.

"She just doesn't matter. I just ain't mad world whenever I hear w That's all I think. Is Maddy. Whatever you whatever kicked the bucket. Yeah, He actually kicked that bucket on. Yeah, I wonder if the guy with the horns was siding Polly with the failed playoff push of the Minnesota Vikings. W Merck. Bravo, Bravo. Very good, Very good. He was all upset, and cousins didn't make some big plays down the stretch, but he was he was still a siding with purple nation. Right, You know, given that the playoffs are coming this weekend, he wanted to rep He wanted to rep. Tarkenton and you know, and it was like a test drive for his outfit for the playoffs. Don't know what to say. I mean, you're gonna get four hours of that, because again, How did you guys watch the warriors? I mean, it was in silence. Like I had had CNN on with with the volume and I was bouncing between that and a couple other stations so that I had the Warriors. I'll be honest. There was tough to focus, man. It was tough toe. I personally had a hard time focusing on the basketball. What did you do? Did you did you try to watch it? I I mean, Murph, To be honest, Dude, I went over, but I didn't even get over to the game until the third quarter. I mean, that's when I first tuned in, did something I never do, which was used the Xfinity dot com on my laptop. Been trying to tell you I've copes I was feeling but I was feeling you so I had. I had CNN on the TV with the volume up, and then I had the Warriors game, So I watched the way a game with no no broadcast. Audio on it was hard to get into the game. It was hard I I have to imagine that a lot of the players knowing that when the Warriors game but probably I would have to imagine around the NBA. We're in a daze last night too. I mean, I think that I think most Americans were in a daze last night really in a daze walking around. And what was interesting to hear Copes is, um Show was just how it became two different stories. Really? Because there was the whole story of the coup and all built on all built all that you have to start from this starting point. It's all built on intergalactic Lee. Delusional lies. It's like, OK, if a guy has a grievance in America, whatever going back to 17 76 or 1964 or 18 61 that you have your grievance. This is the first time we've ever seen anything fueled entirely by lies. That's what like what? When people even try to say the BLM comp. I'm like, Dude, don't even The exit the exit is that effin way. Take it right out. Dude, I got it. I got a couple of them early One guy..

"I'm super excited about what i saw. I wouldn't even talk about the last drive. Which is the patriots. No well the right. I don't care. I don't write last. Last was just killing the clock but the patriots still had one last go right and more than two minutes on the clock. So we've certainly seen crazy things happen. It's only you know a ten point deficit at this time. The defense here. I wanted to talk about it because the defense just got this winter just on fire. There is no way that baker baker for a baker and lawson met at newton for one key sack right at the two minute warning You know the patriots. Keep trying the gopher on fourth and three and my man who we haven't mentioned all game comes up with the game closer ogbeh. Yeah you know. He had a quiet game. he really did i. I saw some pressures from him. There might have been tipped or like a finger on the pass or something at some point. Make it to my notes. But he had you know he had one sack we had three sacks on the game and he at one of them You know but tweet tackles one solo but the guy that really stuck out was again baker and robert our two stellar linebackers. Nine tackles five. Solo tackles by. Roberts i mean that's he's just solid baker which seven solo tackles. I mean wow. And howard by the way in other thing on a howard that i forgot to mention. He's got eighteen defense. The passes that he defended this year number. One the nfl fantastic leading here sections an passes different. I mean the guy the guy. When he gets challenged people are pretty screwed. Are they going to either get an incomplete. He's going to take the ball i love this guy anyway So we won the game and we. Every facet of the of the game was controlled by miami cam. Newton had you know terrible quarterback rating just I mean why even talk about it. Just he just terrible. I mean the the guy completed for what he did. Get two hundred yards okay. Big deal Seven point seven. He can't run because that's the whole thing with him. He was a good running quarterback and this game he rushed for thirty eight yards or nine attempts just was never really a threat of. That's a wrap on the patriots game. We beat the new england patriots. We are still in the hunt for the playoffs this year. Still no. we're gonna make the playoffs. We control our own destiny. I wanted to touch a little bit on what we have with running quarterback. Everybody falls in love with these running quarterbacks and just loves them because they're exciting. They they takeoff back when we were young. We had randall cunningham. Yeah how many all pros that. He make everybody. Everybody loved him one or two i. I do remember him. Being in hawaii committee made the all pro. Yeah he did everything you know. I mean frank tarkenton. Remember him I do. I mean four super bowls. Yes michael vick was unstoppable for a period of time. Nobody could defend them..

"Have a copy of your book. I expect level camaraderie. That's right. Yeah. Committee rate over writing book. How fun That could be. I just got my last check markets from from the publisher of the other day just trickled in. Ah lot later than they said it with that. Still the book deal. Get signed you then you start getting you get royalties. Every year. He get that he still he get that advance, always getting advanced in the event that nice, wholesome through it. You know, I coached him Durai coach Steph and I coached that barrel. You miss you Miss You Miss Marcus this morning, saying that stuff is taking more mid range jumpers because he told them to on always telling Kyle he needs to start Josh Rosen on Saturday. E hope it wasn't giving advice to McMullen's in recent weeks. We're clear to go with the ball in the fourth quarter that go way different, so it's a bad talk to us about this. This Josh Rosen situation like what are they getting here? Nobody else in the in the league decided to snatch him up off a practice squad despite injuries throughout the season and covert protocols, and so what's the deal with the Niners getting Josh Rosen? And is this a guy who maybe could end up on this roster beyond the next two games? Yeah. I mean, I think that's what the judge Rosen's design is. I mean, after he was cut by the Dolphins in September, um you know, he people weren't beating down his door. But there were a number of teams that wanted him on their practice squad. Why not? I mean, um, it would be just a ah, low risk maneuver for some possible high rewards. And he went with the Buccaneers. And you understand why, uh, the Buccaneers? I don't know if you guys know who their quarterback is, but I believe that guy's in its 40. So, um, you know, there might be some future possibilities there, but obviously he's now looking at the 40 Niners and thinking, OK, at bare minimum you've got CJ Bettered is going to be a unrestricted free agent in March, and you've got Nick moans who's going to be Ah, Restricted creation and now is is having Tommy John surgery so there are openings to be had Um, at least kind of getting in in the off season and competing for a spot. So all of that makes sense. And by the way, he he outdueled better twice back in 2018 when when they were starters for their respective teams. Um Josh Rosen has exactly three wins under his belt in 16 tries. I think it is. And two of them came against the 40 Niners. So, um, he's uh he's competed with CJ bettered in the past and and he's won those competitions and he's gonna win again. This week. Anyone the winning these games? I don't know what the winners here We were just Marcus and I were just looking out through the back up quarterback was for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and who? Josh Rosen. Wouldn't have been able to beat out and its former 40 Niners starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert. He's the number two on the Buccaneers roster. So I guess the other question here is using sign and a great papa. Just this to us. Like when the rest of the league isn't grabbing a guy like this. It sort of gives you that draft a field. Where Why is this guy dropping? What do they know that we don't know? Why is this guy falling and so is Are we putting a lot of? I don't know. Ah, lot of eggs in the Kyle Shanahan can fix this guy's basket. Is that what we're looking at? Yeah. I mean, it's the 40. Niners really wanted this guy. They would have signed them to their their active roster. You know, many months ago, when when the Dolphins released him, So, um, he's not a really hot commodity. This is, uh The set up here. The 40 Niners were absolutely desperate for a quarterback. They had to sign somebody off of practice squad in order for that guy to be in uniform on Saturday. This is this is the best they could do. So there's a lot of qualifiers there as the How? Josh Rosen one that sweepstakes s O. Obviously, we're not talking about, um, you know, the second coming of, you know, picking named Fran Tarkenton here, But like I said, I mean, far about confusing a lot of people right now, Fran. There was there was a lady in the league. Um, but in the off season You know, it's going to be probably Garoppolo and then question Mark. So they're gonna have they're going to bring in at least three Maura quarterbacks. And so why not have Josh Rosen, the former number 10 pick in the draft? Be one of them. I think it makes perfect sense as far as Offseason competition goes that that quarterback room, of course is it's still very much an unfinished product for the 40 Niners in 2021, talking about barrels on the Yuma guest line covers the 40 Niners for the athletic and marches and I've been asking like, what's the takeaway here at the end of the season? Nobody's tanking. Nobody's trying to lose games. But you look at all the injuries they've got on the roster. And you guys like I use the you know, Taking more snaps is gonna be useful Young offensive line. Maybe Jeff Wilson playing is gonna be good for him. But so many of these guys were gonna be free age. So many of these guys won't be coming back. You've got a losing record. You're not going to the playoffs. What are they building for here At the end of the year? What do you take away for the last two games of the season that aren't even being played in your home stadium. You don't mean Yeah. I mean, it's difficult, and you could definitely tell that the ship is taking on water. Um, but you, didn't You You mentioned those free agents and those guys do have something to play for, Um, they're playing for their future contracts, either here or elsewhere..

"Fame quarterback. Fifth last night, most yards in NFL history passes Dan Marino. Imagine if Temer you know, played today. Boy. That's kind of wild. If you think about it, because Dan Marino has 420 touchdown passes of all time, and that is fifth all time. And if you look at it right now, breeze 5, 64 Brady, 5 61, Peyton Manning, 5 39 bread Far 508. Rivers, four away. Rogers 3 88 Ben 3 81 alive 3 66 of them. Fran Tarkenton about that 342 touchdown passes. That's the top 10. And then if you look at yards when we get to passing yards all time. It's breeze. One with over 79,000 Brady to over 76,000 Peyton. Three with over 71,000 Far of over. 71,004. Philip Rivers fifth all time. 61,666 yards, Dan Marino. 61,361 yards if he played now. I think I think would be safe to say he'd be number one most passing yards of all time. Ben Eli, Matt Ryan. John Elway wrapped out the top 10 for most passing yards in the morning Moon is at 11 Aaron Rodgers is at 12. Rivers to May. And I said, this last segment. I repeat myself 9000 more times throughout the rest of the show. When you are fifth all time in passing yards and six all time and could be fifth all time and passing touchdowns. You tell me how you're not a Hall of Famer, and if your only argument is who knows you don't have a room or, you know, it's been a great postseason quarterback..

"Game. They threw what he say 20 out of the final 28 plays were throws. So if you're going to throw it every time and the run really doesn't matter, because what's the sense of play action ING Then you're gonna go on the gun. But it's just overall. Jimmy. And I think I think the likeability you know, we got into all these different topics, but it's the way he answers things. The way he handles himself. He's just a likeable guy. I mean, he's just likeable. He's a really likable person. And he's likeable here, but their size standards here. But I do think at some point if he is made available by a trade or something that Belichick well tried Obtain him again. Now. Hopefully he plays great. This year, The 40 Niners win the Super Bowl and there's no change there because we like him here. He's a good guy. He's fun to watch play, and he's really easy. To deal with with the other quarterback. I mean, a rich Gannon and I have become friends since Rich, retired Rich was hard to deal with. When he was a quarterback of the Raiders. He wouldn't give you two minutes and he wouldn't give his teammates two minutes. Jimmy's not like that, Jimmy. No consent to come on the pregame show all the interview request he got this week. And then just the way he is, when the interaction you know you've interviewed him, probably more than I am. He's just a He's just a really good dude. So, but I the way Belichick talked about Kittel this week. And the way he talked about Jimmy. He doesn't If he doesn't want to say something, you know that he won't talk about it will mention you helped Kobe she'll be spars with his words. He spoke glowingly about kid and he spoke glowingly. Lavaka Rapallo and just his transformation from being in the gun in school and everything they went through in the person. I mean, we'll see what Where's career ons up. I think a Fran Tarkenton Fran Tarkenton in the sixties, was a great player with the Minnesota Vikings. And then he left and he went to the New York football giants for a few years met for five years. He was It was not a good team there. They were in transit transition, and Bud Grant brought him back to Minnesota. I think for the 72 year and then they just went on a run of Super Bowls. No Joe Kapp quarterback Tim to Super Bowl for when they lost the chief's, But then after that, it was Fran. And they did win, but they were dominant dominant team in the NFL at the glittering record, and they were the best team in the NFC for a long time. You know, so there's a lot of examples. Brian Hoyer's been mentioned. A lot of examples where you're comfortable in a system of coaching staff likes you. So again. We hope Jimmy stays here. But I think if it does not work out here for whatever reason for Garoppolo is certainly as a home. In New England and I would rather have it be after you know, at the end of his career, and after he's won a few Super Bowls here because it be fun to see him win one here, But there's there's fondness on both sides. There's no doubt he's very Just endearing relationship between he and Bella check Now on Sunday. That's got to stop. And he's not your former coach. You can't call him coach anymore. I thought it was borderline tampering, John that Bella checks texting him while he's under contract with the 40 Niners. Maybe get a draft pick out of that guy. But it's a great relationship and then to the old mind game. You know, he knows what I know. And I know what he knows that kind of thing, but I think the advantage would be on from Belichick side. Since Jimmy knows their defense. But, you know, Belichick runs the defense that he knows Jimmy and he'll be able to try to attempt to put him in compromising positions on Sunday. One of the things you're talking about relationships. It was funny because you asked him if he had talked to Tom Tom Brady, and he said, We shoot a text every now and then. But then when he talked about Belle check He perked up and like you said, they have a great relationship, which feeds the New England media into saying they want to bring him back because he does. He has a fondness for him and Jimmy the same. Where is it sounds like he and he and Brady Really don't have much of a relationship at all. Yeah, I went day. They went to the Kentucky Derby together a few years ago. And the question was, you know, And who knows? You know, Seth Wicker shames piece of all that. I mean, I probably the way Belichick wanted a handle that Is not to trade your backup quarterback in the middle of a championship run. And I understand you know time just outlived. You know Jimmy's time there. He just didn't think time would be this effective well into his forties. So there was not the plane if it went according to plan or you know the way most quarterbacks age You're right. When Jimmy was ready to take over time starts to get a little wobbly. That didn't happen. Time of the T V. 12 and all that's been playing great football. He may be a little wobbly now, but that was later. The way better check probably wanted to handle it. Was too Let it play out. And then it would have been a financial risk. But what if he just would've franchise tag? Jimmy? And and traded him. Would anybody have given?.

"You, Haiti. I was this Philadelphia Eagles fan and Alan A page and France Tarkenton and later on you step in there, and I mean the kicking the coffin corner kicks with Ray guy and you And anybody else in the N F. L could just kill it for the Eagles. Every single game eagles and the Vikings hated each other. Of course, everybody hated the Eagles. But you especially my friend, but that they still do feel honestly Did he really still movement? Why? Why? Oh, yeah. Why? That one? It's personal. We'll help because really hates everybody call with the language. I know your pastor. What's Yeah, but you know, sometimes you know hell is in the Bible, damaging their few other choice words that I know. So why explain that to me just real quick. For my sake is a kid that hated the Vikings. Why? Why was it there? Is this this weird animosity between the Eagles and the and the Vikings? I don't know. I think it started a long time ago. I mean, even lying to the game. My first year was fighting back in 78. We played him in the playoffs and we came back and And came from a thicket 14 17 point deficit in Beatem, and it's just been on it doesn't matter. I think he's Franklin. Master came in and got you and I thought, Oh, he's faking it. He did not fall down. But there were great things. Did you ever fake those falls like when you got like you spin around in pier right down onto the ground, hoping to get the flag Yeah, There's the rule state. The rules states that you cannot touch the punter. Okay, all right, that's that's what the rule says. Now, if if I chose Teo layout and get a little bit little bit more TV time means to me, but you know, but I had to give my wife a signal that I was okay. No, it was a right leg. I had to twist the right leg. If I didn't twist the right leg, she knew it was it was serious. Oh, that's a great okay. Enough Ancient history. You two. Let's talk about the upcoming game. So I'm most fascinated about this upcoming game with the Minnesota Vikings. Because you guys have had personal experience. If I'm remembering correctly, you play the typhoid titans. Is that correct? Come on. Oh, yeah s so how did you manage to Yeah, the first you managed to come out of that unscathed, and they've got like 20 players and staffers set up. How How did that friction? Go on? How did you manage to avoid what happened to them? Well on a serious note our organization has done Everything according to the lever, and even beyond that, overly cautious and overly paranoid. I mean, normally I'm on the pillion the entire game. I'm stuck up. I'm stuck down on the field in a suite away from everybody on DH, you know very little contact with players and coaches. Even doing the course of the week doing practice. I mean, accesses. Is unlike we've ever had in the history of my being with the organization, so they're taking this serious because let's face it guys. Good if this thing continues to roll and rise It's okay in the first three or four games. But what happens when you get down in games? 1911. There's no wiggle room. So if who's a team in an organization? And the leaders on that football team. Talk to the young players. I know it's tempting to go out to a restaurant to a club and see the city and all of those things. But you know what? You could do that later, So I applaud our organization on applaud our leaders. And everyone who's in that stadium is being very, very cautious. Let me ask you a very quickly. Kirk cousins. Do they love him there in Minnesota? Everybody loves a winner. Okay. Yeah, um and and we are one and three way We're not playing well, so the quarterback gets too much glory when they win, and he gets too much blame when they lose. Um, you know, it's been a team effort in all of those losses. A couple of them We did not play well at all. We deserve to get our behind speed, but we had a lead on on Tennessee. And we could not get the defence off the field. We put up 32 points. You should win a football game. So there's some things that Mike Zimmer was not happy about because DNA is Defense is his DNA We've got you wonder why we lost. We've got seven new players. That have departed from that defense. From years ago. We got two rookies on the corner. We got some young safety. That's that's filling in now at the nickel corner. You miss it? Never. Ever since Griffin, who was a sack machine to Neil Hunter, All pro defensive end is not playing so you just cannot unplug. You know, seven players from your defense and expect things to be like they were. Yeah, well, cold. Sounds like excuses. Glad you're usedto losing here it comes again. This game before we'll do it Another time when we go you are there with the Seahawks. Get off the bus. Of course you have a mask on you are disguised as a hot dog can't take pan in your right hand and you strike one Seahawk as they step off the bus to get on to the back of a horse. For some reason, you twist your right leg. Let your wife know that you do know how to ride a horse. Seahawk is slightly unconscious but will be able to play a game time And at that point you then tear the jurors. Be off. I can't get the jersey Hold on. I'll hang on jersey off in it. It's a long It's a horse wants to one far, far away from the stadium and,.

There were 29th in the NFL last season. They were held under 20 points in nine games. The Detroit Lions desperate for a season opening win. Themselves a pretty nice advantage going to the fourth quarter in this ball game. That's when Mitchell Torbinski in Chicago Bears offense woke up. So the Bears have it now, first in five at the 27 yard line, snapped back too risky to wind.

Even those triple covered. Never, completed it the fuck. Are Both of you doing? He did he had eight targets with three catches for nineteen yards. Off will drop to. He's like would have been way opened if he actually tried hard. And then he hit him in the hands. Just dropped it anyways. Not Great. But? That just sounds heavenly right now. It's called the chicken. Ray Be Awesome. It's all throughout like a little part of town. Fried Chicken grits macaroni and cheese. Peach Cobbler smother chicken. It's up our Alex Bar. It's a bar Alisa and then eventually would be coming out of alleys rather quickly but it would be flavorful as a win in so she singing it this thing like a year changing whatever she can sing. I like places about ninety two miles above the city. Glenn we've got a couple of people have had lake and right at the base of the Smoky Mountains and we've got good golf courses up there. Nick loves to play golf and nobody does it. Plays off the coaches football. And he's very frustrated. Also that he's you know college just as well as pro coaches. I mean my goodness in college. Especially you know you've all of a young kids the freshman class you've never seen and everything's virtual and such unknown down here in the SEC's it isn't NFL football. But you know down here. Sec football is a religion and at the seats of every state has got nine hundred ten thousand seats and it's a competitive leg and he's he's sixty seven. Maybe sixty eight and yeah. I could tell. He's got some frustration as I'm sure examined all the coaches the NFL. And how am I going to manage slew? This this is all new things for them and and they're in in in the football practice in modern day. Football everything is so precise. More sister coaches more people. More film more fish you really but how do I? How do I teach? And how do I coach? And how do I make this work? Virtual reality and it's a lot of uncertainty in that will for sure a Fran. I mean you know with Georgia the way. Your governor works as aggressive as he is. I mean if the SEC would permit it. He probably would say okay. Twenty-five thirty thousand in the stadium in Athens to watch bulldogs football right. Yeah I think he would. You know and governor's from Georgia went to University of Georgia is is mother was at school with me and I. I didn't know any back then. But he didn't fold saying here and he opened up three weeks ago. And it's done fine and I think what you're going to see now. I was reading a thing this morning. The guy that was an Obama so he's just a finance guy was in a group. There is a professor at Harvard now and he just said flat out this morning that this is GonNa be the biggest third or fourth. Call the biggest comeback economically that this country's ever seen in the reasons as it's because we went to zero everything shut down and now the people are get forcing the same to go down. "What with Norm Van Rocklin? What were those six years like you know? He was my hero when I came here and he won a world championship. And I I watched it that his feet At twenty one. He taught me so much football. Here's the reason. Were able to be the best thirty seven thirteen and I came in at the end. The first quarter and threw for four touchdowns ran for another. Not all because of him. He was a genius understanding of bigotry. Phil Mickelson as we talk about that chip shot. If that and that match it was a in how the lane based the the the grass scared that he had to move this he did it in such detail they it could take away a defense like that and teach me that. I could have sold that and we beat the bears. We won three games year. He had unbelievable skill. His his fallout guy. He had suddenly demons. He was against so many people and he had just volatile volatile personality. That just was demon driven that that kept him from being an unbelievable coach. And finally you know he just. He went to follow they. He went to the first time mctigue off one became all. Here's a free agent center and third year he's becomes all pro each Jim Ringo a Green Bay and he and walking in the meeting room says crawl by asked. He said all pro barnyard country. He just he. He was self destructive. Yeah and and but I'll tell you I have. All of the without brands. Rocks teach me the fundamentals of how to redeem just of the quarterback position. He was the most important mechanic for me. Now when I look back together with but grant later in my career. That's a pretty good. That's pretty good now. Now with norm. Van Brooklyn Fran when it went when I was sinkhole. Speculating and and and getting ready for today. Nineteen seventy-three was a super bowl season for you guys. Okay nine seventy three. Tell me about this fram. You guys were nine and go in seventy three. You had a Monday night. Football game on the road at Atlanta and Norm Van Brooklyn coaching. The Falcons found a way to beat. You guys He he he he did and And and and and that was it we we hit about a bad time because also the week before that Cincinnati which was like the worst team in the AFC. They beat us even more. Handling the Falcons beat us and I think it comes back to the time bit for both games. They're back to back clinched division so early that you know we didn't. We didn't have that that that that same drive but shows you how narrow the margin is between the bottom. The top famous football. You know last last one fram. It's with with current age new age quarterbacks if people were thinking back to the. Hbo At Fran Tarkenton Days. They see Russel Wilson. Play the way Russell runs around he. He's not the tallest in the world. Either were you. Both guys had unbelievably good arms. You're in the hall of fame. Maybe he'll be there one day but with with like the Dallas Cowboys. Back in the seventies giving you started in the early sixties with Roger. Roger The dodger. How many were there? A million comparisons with Roger. Stop back to to the way you played. Yes and he was A. He was a modern day mobile quarterback. Here's what they call a two quarterback. When I came in I was a free. There was pocket quarterbacks. In if you're any anything different than FAUCI quarterback you you. You were the wrong shadow of the town And I got mimics I got. It took them now sixty years to understand that the reason your mobile is not just to run the football. I did that. But if you're mobile you can buy time to give your receivers more time. Throw the ball down the field. That's what Patrick Mahomes does. That's what Russell Wilson got. They can run. But what they forget is that they. They felt ball. When I was Dan Marino book. I've look John United says record. My records have touchdown passes yard game. Hold completions stood for seventeen years. The one closest to me was seven years. Peyton manning's record stood for three years but one Marino broke. My record of those touchdown passes or you're not sure which one and the writers would would call me Kosh. I knew you were scrambler about. Saudi will run or pass. I had no idea that you broke all the passing records. It was a total misunderstanding. And so now you going forward. If you're not a two way quarterback able to throw and able to be mobile. You're not going to be competitive in the national football. Well one of those quarterbacks and speaking of the cowboys is Dak Prescott. Dax taken in the fourth round in. He's not a runner per se. Like you or Roger. The dodger Russell Wilson. Mike Vick whomever but but he does have some to way to him up with Dak. Are you a fan of Dak Prescott? I think he's really good player. And I think you'll get get better. And he does have the facility to run and the throw scramblers Roger. Starbuck was but then you go down south south of balance. I think south they'd to Houston and you and got that kid who came out of Clemson. He is a gentleman Too late quarterback of great skills to Roman scrambling great skills to flow. And that's what they're what what they're doing now the kid they get out of Lsu You know who watched out Ohio state was the number one pick by Cincinnati. Yeah like he can run and he can throw it. He's in the modern day stream and he had to you know in this case. Here's a kid that I did want after look any for two years. He played one year at at lsu. Getting do very well. They bring the offensive coordinator the quarterback coach for the New Orleans Saints who studied under that coaches of Reyat Modern Day offensive coordinator. He brings that guy to Alex. You put you in the right system as man robbed them put in for me and this kid let it up and played Bugsy Guy College. Football is the number one draft. And and so you've got to get into the place for. They've got somebody who understands modern day passing quarterbacking and then they got to understand that the person there if he if he can be. Nfl caliber passer. All of them are that. But he's gotta be able to be mobile and scramble and by time and give us but she has more time to get down the field because the speed of the receivers today is off the charts the the bottom line dot at the bottom line dot APP to learn more about what to Francis in his constituents do with small businesses. "Number is brought to you by geico whether you own or rent geico makes it easy to bundle home and auto insurance having a home is hard work so get a quote at geico dot com it's easy Matthew was in South Carolina he's on the Pony Express time at the current events yeah well I'm I'm definitely for adding extra game but the only reason I can think of that people might not want to change is the records there your so called the single season records are so close to being broken right one more game you know fifty touchdowns comes along some reason not the same now okay the way the game is played there there's no way to compare first of all in the seventies they played fourteen games went to sixteen so that genie is already out of the bottle that to pace is already out of the tube and you know there's no way for say Fran Tarkenton his career or Roger stop backs passing stats to hold up against today's quarterbacks because the game is played so differently and and so those guys lost all their records from the earlier era football so if drew Brees in Tom Brady of their records broken because get because quarterbacks in the next generation are playing an extra game thank you I I appreciate your call but that should not be I don't think baseball records are canonized in celebrated the same way as let's say a final big football records are looked at in viewed upon that way the same way baseball records are very few people look at just the numbers and say okay that makes the player the best passer of all time breeze has the most passing yards and passing touchdowns therefore is the best quarterback of all time no no one says that not even the most ardent saints fans would say that about him when we celebrate the greatest NFL players of all time they just did a possible the hundred year anniversary did they treat Emmitt Smith better than Jim Brown because Emmett Smith is the all time leading rusher of course not Jerry rice is regarded as the best wide receiver because he has all the the receiving records it's because those who watched him play will tell you doll he was the best to ever do it we don't make these arguments about the grass the big the best are the greatest of all time black.

"NFL used to be a fun thing where you could get away from the worries of the world in actually think about something other than politics disease cancer work but liberals don't want that they want to smear your face in politics into you want to punch him and then hopefully you will and then they can say see there and so several years ago Colin Kaepernick when Kaepernick came in NFL have tails huge fan because I like the way he played the position of quarterback it was a Michael Vick styles Randall Cunningham style I mean you could argue is a Fran Tarkenton style is a Steve young style the scrambling quarterback's who could do things with their legs but something got in Capper next head and I don't know what what it was Ricky Williams kinda had a problem with that some some guys have this problem and I'm not blaming him so you're getting hit by some big guys you never know what's going through your head sure a rock star now you're rich and you don't really wanna get banged up the way you did when you were coming up so Kaepernick started failing then he was benched happening was no longer a superstar now he was offered a contract but it was for less money than he believed it was worth he was worth so he rejected it years would go by in he would he would engage in antics unrelated to football like taking in me in that got him all this attention and it almost appeared that he was getting advice on how to do this but surely not right will later he would set off this sh huge fire storm and we would find out that all the while Nike had been paying him they like to this they liked this drama this was something that they were willing to compensate him even if he couldn't play quarterback in at all he got rich he got rich between the football money and now he was getting paid but he didn't have to get hit he didn't have to read defenses he didn't risk his tibia and fibula shattering in half like Joe sighs Mahan he didn't have to worry about concussions breaking a finger blow it is back out not.

"No and king or your wife did yeah we were sitting around trying to think of a name. For like about three weeks after I signed with NBC and every name somebody. Hated we've thought of two hundred names and one day and. King says hey isn't the Sunday night In called football night in America why don't you call your, column, football morning in America And I said. To myself Sam flood is going to like that name We're going to get some agreement on that one right. There I think king deserves a little cut of the KYW due, to I think she gets a little cut All right the topic. Right now in the NFL was what Oh look out We got a spill and I'll six-year. Bill the, topic I, mean I guess unfortunately is Terrel Owens or. Levy on Bill let me start. With, Sarah head Do we know what his gripe is I assume I mean look I I'm assuming that it's the I got into my third year and the way I look at that basically is. That two thirds of the three hundred and some odd people who were? In. The pro football hall of fame got in after? Their first year of eligibility does? That, make Harry Carson and Ron Yeary and Lynn Swann and, Fran tarkenton does that make them less hall of, fame deserving does that make their bus. Different no it's just the silliest controversy in hall of. Fame history, but it's, a controversy so we must address it but. Also this is what he wants I mean Yeah if he went there and, just said thank, you ungrateful and it's great to. Join these these fellow hall. Of famers You know there's there's no I was out in, Tahoe last week that golf tournament. Aaron Rodgers out there but was out, having a drink with a bunch of older guys like people of? Peter king's, generation and one of them said to me does he have any idea. How for the, rest of his life I mean, he's going to be able to make money off the hall of fame now if he this is, the hall of fame is he going. To be able to make money off the hall of fame and this was a this. Was a, very well respected person and so you know the? Hall? Of fame sort. Of shuffles, business hall of famers ways I mean are they, going to do that with Tarallo wins now I don't know it's I that's, not the. Biggest reason or the biggest anything but it just strikes? Me, that he's cutting off his nose despite, his face but, whatever should he have been a. First ballot hall of Famer I mean I've supported him all along I didn't think it was some, grave injustice because I do think there were some things against him Nobody. Wants to hear this but he was a third of a teammate that's all there is to it And he dropped the ball a lot particularly later in his career. I in my. Opinion though without any question he deserves to be in the pro football hall of fame I, supported him I'm glad he's in and I could? Care less whether he's in canton or not in Kim, do we view Randy moss differently than we do. And I think we do because Randy moss. To me I look at Randy moss is a singular, player I don't look at Tarallo Enzi singular player I think Randy. Moss was such an incredible, deep thread so incredibly great stretching the field and dominating games with his speed And his hands deep downfield. He had great hands I I mean I. Look at Randy moss is being fifteen percent better player, whatever the number save and tear allowance also he's grown up yeah Yeah he has Randy moss who's really has yeah yeah he's shirt. And now Tara loans wants to still make a comeback in the CFL I read I just read that this morning on my way up here in teaches own if he wants to do it I will say, this few years, ago when, I. Was running the QB we had CFL week and I went up to two games in the NFL and I met like three. Or four, coaches had long conversation John health, Nagel remember him yeah he was a either a coach or, GM of the stampede IRS state Penn State. Guy anyway as the. Former giants quarterback coach. But anyway they all all these coaches say all these guys come up from. The US and they say..
