"Big, successful New Mexico company. All right, another New Mexico company. I do believe it's called Terra Vera, the CEO and no one of the founders. Tara very joins us now. Carlos Pereira Carlos Good afternoon. Good afternoon, sir. All right. He tell us what Tara Vera is. And where is it? Sure, Tara Very is a company, a technology company focused on helping cultivators of all kinds grow better crops. With organic methods and we hope to save the world from the Issues of social pesticides. All right, So we're not just talking about cannabis. I mean, it could be okra or it could be tomatoes or anything else. Absolutely. Yeah, we have Ah, technology that basically mimics. What our body's own immune system does. And by doing this, we can actually create a chemistry that's effective across the broad range of passages. Think viruses, bacterias molds. Um, in a variety of crops. We you're accusing to kind of focus on cannabis in the moment for several reasons. One is just the issues of these growers. Air having On the compliance issues that they face so that that is a focused area for sure, but ultimately we expect to be in wine grapes provokes. You wanna go to our organic process? We expect to be in food crops. But we're very much focused on cannabis it early on to Are you a new company? Yeah, we are. We kind of a history with a previous company that we've licensed some technology from that company was my ox doing water treatment on that kind of originated out of Technology from Los Alamos Labs. That company got sold and 2014 time frame and then they developed some technology appropriate agriculture and now Myself for my co founder who both were my ox for number of years have taken that technology and are introducing it into the agricultural markets. So Carlos, you didn't did you work at the lab? We did not work in the left and brought the technology outside the fence. No, I did not. Look at the lab. I'm kind of a, uh, interesting hybrid. I grew up in New Mexico. Got my engineering underground here went to Silicon Valley. Got an MBA. And always wanted to come back and do business in New Mexico. So I let a group of investors who acquired Meyocks operated argument spun out of the labs. Okay. So the focus of terror Vera, which is the new company right now, Sami Cannabis Because cannabis is really hard. There's a lot of opportunity there for companies that want to, you know, make sure that the put basically that what? You're going to smoke you're gonna eat. Whatever is going to be is going to be clean, Pesticide freak right and and bug free. That is correct. You don't want to. Ah, take cannabis for health reasons, you know, Help you sleep or whatever it is you get for and then find out you're ingesting, you know, either carcinogens. Or molds or something that's gonna get you to be sick. Right, and unfortunately it happens, okay? All right. So the company itself eyes focusing on the cannabis market right now, you say eventually you'll get in India. In the other crops. Um Well, what about him? What about the non THC variety? Yeah, we already actually are. In pilots with several have growers. They faced a lot of the same issues. You know, Generally speaking, your Negro help outdoors and you gonna grow cannabis for th e purposes either indoors or in greenhouses predominantly, So it's a little bit different application. But yes, we know were effective and tempt crops as well. All right. So what can you tell potential and everybody's potential right now. New Mexico will Legalized recreational cannabis. I think the federal government probably within the next few years will legalize recreational cannabis. You agree? You know, I certainly am hopeful on both fronts. You know, until it happens, you know, You never know how this industry goes. I've been in it for now. Six years Which kind of makes me a better and I think for her legal cannabis Hard to do in Terra Vera. I actually spent a number of years. With one of the large multistate operators is their chief exactly. Chief operations officer. Sorry. And we ended up Acquiring or building out operations and 13 states. So I had a lot of experience around the U. S to see now what folks are doing and what some people are doing right and what some people are doing. Perhaps incorrectly or poorly. But when it comes to the regulations, it always was a bit of a crap shoot. All right, really cool piece yesterday that I talked about on air Carlos was from Rolling Stone. Doc, I'm really stoned. Calm about the way we have to have ready to market products and talked about a lot of the opportunity. Not just the grower, not just a manicure, not just the retailer of the cannabis, but all the ancillary The people who You know, I don't know Bill Greenhouses, The people who do quantum dot so it gets you know, turns the sunlight into the right kind of grow light to the bankers to the media to the marketers, all the ancillary Industries that could be helped With cannabis. So how do we do? Go ahead. Go ahead. Yeah, That's a great point. Yeah, it's a great point. I think people think of cannabis as an industry and they think about the folks are either brawling or the folks who are are dispensing and Those are critically important. They're really not the entirety of their not maybe even the lion's share of the business opportunities. I mean, we see you know everything from his Monday and his accounting firms that are specializing in the space, and there's a whole lot of accounting and tax issues that are unique to cannabis. Tonto to your point people who are advancing technology doing innovative things, whether it be in How to grow better product or how to produce better edibles. You know, One of the nice things about New Mexico is would you have a lot of innovative folks here and there are a couple of companies several, which I'm associated with in one shape reform that are doing really novel things, not with the grow or dispensing, but with these technologies that could actually just enhance the product make it better. In a number of ways. So you know people for to his picks and shovels. I think of it more as you know, the innovation goes along with it. And, uh, you know, when I When I get this question, I often tell people like Do you know any companies that emerged out of the gold rush? You know, in the Northern California and they'll sit there, scratch their heads. And, you know, then I'll tell him well, You know what about Wells Fargo's bank? That kind of makes sense? What about Levi's? Right? And I go. Oh, leave. I had no idea that Levi started. Well, yeah, that's kind of how Levi started. All right, so there will be all kinds of opportunities. If you don't want to get your hands. All you know is all sticky with the residue all kinds of other business opportunities from like I said, you know, big ubiquity, which came out the lab came out of flannel. On Now they have these quantum dots which turns sunlight any kind of light into the red light, which plans love. So all of these all these cool different technologies and innovators here in New Mexico so Ah, What have you learned from those 13 other? States or regions that can be applied in New Mexico when we legalized recreational There's a long list. We may not have enough time to. All right. We'll give it. Give it a couple. Yeah, I'll give you the highlights. And I think you know here in New Mexico Kelly option or not the first to take action. Sometimes we're not the most innovative. But you know, the benefit is sometimes we can take advantage of other people's and steaks. And I think if we didn't look to the North and Colorado or to the states like Oregon or Washington have had this around for a while..
