"Because maybe he felt his physically he couldn't do those kind of things anymore with the kind of confidence that he could do the intermediate and short game and look. Sean has absolute just you know just top shelf menu. As far as deep shot type of plays and his in his playbook that he can pull up at any time and he's pulling them all up now for james because he knows that james has just remarkable deep ball accuracy and has really the competent order to go ahead and let them go when it's advantageous for them to let them go and pull the trigger and the thing that sean has done for him is that he has coached him and got him to the point whereas was just alluding to that. He feels as though he's playing the game at a much more cerebral level and not much not as much of an off the cuff type level and risk adverse type of level that he played with that tampa and he told us when we talk. Preseason for production meetings. He wouldn't allow james to play that way that he wouldn't throw thirty interceptions in this offense and you're seeing right now jeff jeff's absolutely right. They were perfect for each other at this point in time. And they're both going to have career seasons so bart. I'm thinking back to last year when the saints out played the tampa bay buccaneers three times and beat them twice. Obviously losing in the playoff game should the buccaneers be keeping a close on. What's happening in new orleans. right now. greenwich should be very very afraid right. Because what's happened. Is what james is darwin body and mind meets. That's where the apex aware. Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Beat Dallas Cowboys in Season Opener

"The nfl season opener. Last night brady threw four touchdown passes three hundred seventy nine yards and led the tampa. Bay buccaneers game winning drive to beat the dallas cowboys. Thirty one twenty nine last night in tampa bay jimmy fallon put last night's matchup in perspective. The buccaneers are trying to win their second straight super bowl and tom. Brady's eighth after that brady will have to make a bold choice whether or not to become a summering guy who's a big match of dallas. I'm tampa bay in texas versus florida fans from both teams. Were looking at each other. Like thank god. We don't live there. Cowboy's quarterback dak prescott was marvelous as well over four hundred yards in his return from a nasty ankle injury so showed no signs. He was fearless. He was great as the 2021. Which would you rather have by the way thousand dollars guest appearance one question this week. Elisha mitchell tyson williams or naim hines who will score the most fantasy points. What do you guys think. Elisha mitchell tyson williams or niamh hines. Npr shrager. what is there an answer to that. Let's go with both Probably take mental and both but pr might behind. I'll take mitchell on both okay. Let's go to players to avoid heath. who should be sit this week. Can i use players for this. Can you do both guy. A quick thursday night and then a scared to death of saquon barkley in this game against washington and i really don't want to use him For obvious reasons. I think hopefully this is the last week we say that. Hopefully he gets to play sixty percents of the snaps and he looks a little bit better. Maybe breaks one long run and gives you enough to where you can think. Okay ten days rest. I'm going to stardom. But i'm really worried if he plays. Fifty percent of the snaps in average is two and a half yards per carry. What has value is going to be moving forward. And i'm going to try to stay away from the tampa. Bay buccaneers running backs all of them. Okay i was really pretty excited about leonard fournette nets until bruce arians said ronald jones is going to be the starter. I don't how much you can take out of ronald jones. Being the starter. He started thirteen games last year. Five of those games. He had ten carries or fewer so ronald jones is one mistake away from not playing again for the rest of the game. Probably so i would like to stay away from all tampa bay running backs and saquon barkley. Okay bucks are facing atlanta jamie. Who should we sit It's hard to sit in. But i would try and get away from davis week. That tampa bay run defenses. Obviously no joke said that time and time again and so you know you're looking at a guy that's gonna have to make some plays in the passing game like him veteran. "A big football game the big big day tomorrow night. tampa bay is going to host. The dallas cowboys. Nfl said you're fired if you're not vaccinated as you stand in the middle of a football field in a stadium full of sixty five thousand largely unvaccinated people than you can't sing the national anthem before the tampa bay buccaneers dallas cowboys game. Covert insanity is at a fevered pitch. Let that sink in in a stadium. Full an open air stadium of sixty five thousand people many if not most of whom will be unvaccinated twenty-seven-year-old tamp victory. Boyd will not be allowed to sing now. I haven't seen a picture of her yet. But i'm gonna make an assumption. I could be wrong. But i'm gonna make assumption that this is a young black woman and in fact. Yuri are great. You're going to be hard pressed to find much coverage of this controversy and one would think you would be a pretty big story. Don't you think this big story. The woman who was going to sing the star spangled banner before the tampa bay. Dallas game is fired because she won't be vaccinated after seeking a religious exemption from the nfl. But this time Brady is at center stage for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and gets to drop the mic moment with President Biden riding shotgun. President Biden welcome this year's NFL Super Bowl champions. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady took the podium, reflecting back on what it took to pull it off. One point We were 75 struggling a little bit, but we found our rhythm we got on the road. President Biden scored some points of his own with a little humor. We have the oldest coach, everyone the Super Bowl and the oldest quarterback to win the Super Bowl. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing wrong. With being the oldest guy to make it to the mountaintop Andrew Brady style. The goat nailed a perfect come back. "With Aaron Rodgers wanting out of Green Bay, according to reports a night that ended with pick number 32, the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers going with AH, linebacker from Washington, Joe try on and there's a lot more to come. And there was a lot that was jammed in between those two big events. I thought it was really cool to thieve. The number of Alabama products six of them in the first round, which ties the record set by Miami. Back in 2004. I was thrilled to see Devante Smith go at number 10. Overall, The Eagles actually moved up to get in which I think is neat and they traded with E. Dallas Cowboys, their NFC East rival to grab Devante, and he's impressed me not only on the field, but off the field as well. Patrick's or Tan Hey, was sporting an incredible pink suit, though, is a lot to like about what we saw with the Alabama contingent. But also did you know it's the first time in any NFL draft that seven Players from one side of the ball were taken with the first seven picks in a row. He just didn't know the correct answer so this is what he wrote scripts to come up the correct response. Who wanted to kick that field goal. That is a great question. You should be correct but unfortunately for this this game in reference to happen during the nfc championship game back january in the fourth quarter when it looked like the packers were going to successfully make the comeback the tampa bay buccaneers. Dallas Cowboys Reach Multi-Year Deal With Star Quarterback Dak Prescott

"Salary cabin number for two thousand and twenty one is going to be twenty two point two million dollars all right now. Head dak prescott. In franchise tag again this will happen in a procedural sense but had to cow tried to go at this with dak prescott on the franchise tag for the two thousand and twenty one season. We've talked about this a number of times. That value would have been thirty. Seven point seven million dollars so the fact that the cow is now have him onto the books. We're talking about the value that is on the books in the books. However you want to look at the books whether they're e books or physical books whatever the case may be that value is now twenty two point two million dollars now. I know that we have all said some things about the dallas cowboys but they are not complete dummies. They surely budgeted for the franchise tag value. Because let's be honest. They came about twenty four hours. We think you know. Close to having the actually placed the franchise tag and maybe carried out with that prescott. So the cowboys have room for the franchise tag at the very least so you look at that quake matt that adam schefter was kind enough to do for you. That is fifteen point. Five million dollars that the dallas cowboys suddenly have because they've got this long term deal with that prescott. This is something that we've been saying for two years now. If you do this you can. You can kick this down the road. You can prorate it you can extended you can whatever term you want to put on it. You can spread the impact of the deal out of the signing bonus of the overall guaranteed money out over the lives of the contract so it doesn't hit you all at once. That's the one killer about the franchise tag is that it is fully and completely guaranteed in franchise tag is a one year deal so the value of it last year and dak prescott was on the tag for thirty one point. Four million dollars. The two thousand twenty dallas cowboys had to absorb that value all at once and they would have had to have done it again. Here in two thousand and twenty one but because they have adjusted that they now have fifteen and a half million dollars that they were seemingly budgeting for dak prescott that now they can apply to different areas. Maybe it is a safety. Maybe it's a defensive end. Maybe it's a defensive tackle. Maybe it's you know an offensive tackle. But they want swing tackled death whatever the case may be. We know that the cowboys obviously hold the tenth overall. Pick in the draft. They could go a number of different directions there. They wanna cornerback kayla farther patrick's retain do wanna take one of the tackles and rashawn slater as all this is. This is setting up and this is an important thing. I want you to hear me here and watch me here. You cannot waste this money. If dallas cowboys the whole point and getting this done with thac prescott besides obviously establishing having the best player on your team for the foreseeable future the point in doing this is to alleviate the salary cap space now. And i don't like the term when now if you watch us often you know that but you look state of the nfc east. It is by sudha. I mean the philadelphia. Eagles are a disaster. The new york giants doping daniel jones is legitimate. The washington football team has a great team but is void of the most important position of the game and a quarterback. Maybe they'd get somebody this cycle as we all expect quarterbacks to change teams at a higher rate than usual but the case in point is at the dallas cowboys are now. We're going to see this all day on tuesday by the way and we'll talk about it of course but they're going to be overwhelming favorites to win the nfc streit and you think about the conference that they plan is really a contender in the nfc. And i mean that with all due respect to the reigning champion tampa bay buccaneers. But you've got the bucks you've got the green bay packers and then who scares you. May maybe the rams you believe in matthew stafford but the point is thinking about the afc. I mean the. Afc has the bills and the ravens and the chiefs and the titans and the steelers and the browns. I mean you could go. A number of different ways. Did the colts have carson. Wentz ends up getting his act together and so the cowboys play in the weakest division in the weaker conference and so now they have this opportunity to really kind of take their future in the here and now they have fifteen and a half million dollars that they weren't necessarily planning on having use it and if they don't use it it is all for not so i mean we are all imploring the dallas cowboys to ultimately use this salary cap space. This is a very very very luxurious gift. That they now have been afforded that they didn't previously have so shattered of course to the dallas cowboys. Let's see here let's move. I'm i wanna talk of course about the bonus the dak prescott because well. It's stupid large. I mean it's amazing. Dak prescott has now the largest signing bonus in the nfl. You look at joe flacco. Once upon a time. Got forty million. Dollars matt ryan forty six and a half. Remember if you're on the fence about this value. We've talked about this before as well. Matt ryan became the first quarterback in nfl history to average over. He had thirty but to average at least thirty million dollars per year with his new contract that he signed with the atlanta falcons in two thousand and eighteen. That was three years ago. Dak prescott signed a four six year. Deal whatever you wanna call it. That was three years ago. They matt ryan signed that he was the first quarterback to hit the thirty million dollars a year. Mark prescott just hit forty but the reality and we've been saying this forever is that there are so many deals coming around the bend. Josh allens gotta get paid. Lamar jackson's gotta get paid. Baker mayfield's got to get paid extra calories. He's going to get paid the year after that. It's going to be time for joe burrow to finally get paid and when all of those players get paid this forty million dollars a year. Mark the dak prescott got this one hundred twenty six million dollar. Total guaranteed is sixty six million dollar signing bonus all these things that are currently the top of the nfl. The most in nfl history. That's the verbiage in determining that you're hearing associated with this and it's all literally true but it's all going to get pushed down because all of these players on this list. Joe flacco matt ryan matthew stafford at fifty million signing bonus. Aaron rodgers fifty. Seven and a half russell wilson not going to be a dallas cowboy now by the way sixty five million dollars. Dak prescott topped that all of these quarterbacks in all likelihood we'll top that that's the reality of the nfl things are always moving in one direction. It is up

Vincent Jackson, Former NFL Wide Receiver, Found Dead in Hotel Room

"All know Vincent Jackson former Tampa Bay Buccaneer was found dead in his apartment earlier was it it was last week. I was it last week. Yeah. Yes, it was last week and you know his family members want answers and they've actually donated his brain for a CT now they are doing this because there were things off. His I don't know mannerisms his behavior that kind of led up to this very very tragic ending for him that have people kind of scratching their heads going. This isn't normal. This isn't right. So there's got to be something here. When it comes to CTE. Yeah. So if you don't know who it's in Jackson is he was a wide receiver for the Chargers and the Buccaneers and he was thirty-eight years old took out in his way too young what really sucks about like there were just starting to get details about how he was found and everything. So apparently housekeeping came into the room. He was in a hotel in Florida and they he was slouched over on the couch. So they thought he was sleeping so they left the room and then they you know, they called in a welfare to his family called off their check cuz they hadn't heard from him for like a month. Well, I thought it was only two or three days ago. There was like a stretch where they had he was just kind of doing his own thing and they were concerned because so initially the story was at home. It was a an extended period of time and then the two were two to three days thing that you're talking about is they had talked to him and they hadn't heard from him and they were like, yeah everything seems okay clearly. It wasn't so this ESPN app states that at first they entered the room they assumed he was sleeping so they left the room and then they entered the room again later on and he hadn't moved from his spot. And so that's when they called 911 right? There are no signs of trauma injury. I mean this guy had family and kids. Oh, yeah, and that's why people know why is he staying in an extended States? Very bizarre and that's just kind of the things with CTE is that it just completely disrupts your brain patterns and just any sort of your brains deformed at that point, you know, you're you're doing things you're maybe saying things you're acting certain ways where people are like, whoa, what is going on with you, you know, and it's tremendously sad and at what point what's the solution? I mean, you know the NFL Constantly working on ways to make the game safer and taking care of their players, whether it's you know through the helmets or even like the pads or whatever go down the list of things of the technology of what their actual shooting up in to help combat that but clearly it's not working.

You can be the best team in the world and it doesn't necessarily have to look the way that the way that these coaches have looked forever. And so i'm proud of bruce arians. I'm proud of this coaching staff. I'm proud of what they represent. I'm proud of how they look great job to be an a tampa bay buccaneers as beautifully said ryan outstanding up. Shefty last up your number one takeaway from this game. It's hard to follow the greatness of my colleagues there every single one of them was incredibly eloquent and intelligent about what they said about this particular game. I've got a lot of random thoughts all over the place. But how about the fact. Todd bowles said. The buccaneers didn't allow a touchdown yesterday. She didn't score a single talk. Just think about that for a moment and then think about tom brady. Who's overcome so many obstacles. That have come his way on drafted free of of late round. Pick what he can do what he did throughout the course i think he's now redefining with someone in forties can do and ellen on this green is sober. He thought now. Our thoughts with pedro gomez family absolutely our thoughts with the five year. Old kansas city. Who still in the hospital. Not doing very sad. Well guys thank you all for getting up with us here. "Is is partially player. Empowerment has fully. Come to the nfl quarterback like this can forces way out. We are in the nfl as the nba player. In parliament is alive and other thing is we always debate on how much you should pay these young quarterbacks or if you can give them extensions this seems to kind of nail home the point that you can because there's always a market for these guys if they showed a glimpse of competence. Someone is gonna convince themselves that they are good enough to bring them back to their greatness and frank reich is the guy to do it. That situation is a great situation. So i don't hate the trade for either side. But i'm certainly shocked that there's a market out there for quarterback that statistically was probably the worst quarterback in league last year. I think you could make that argument. I'd have to leave it here guys. And i'm going to change the tone because i will mention as many people know that we all of us at espn today are working with heavy hearts. You know we are a family here at espn. A big family and our family is mourning the loss of a friend and a colleague pedro gomez died unexpectedly yesterday in his home. Pedro covered baseball for. Espn for all of our studio shows. "Out of last night and i'm starting with you. What was your biggest while we kind of touched on this on one side. But i know you have an entirely different thought on the coaching. From last night thirty seconds. Let's hear it byron left. Which was absolutely spectacular. He was just as good as todd. Bowles was it's important for us to talk about how good he has been since they've made to move realizing that's not who we are. Who who are we. We're a great team. If we keep our quarterback clean we can put an extra offensive linemen and go play action pass and allow our quarterback to operate pound the football a bit defensive backs corners and safeties tackle are running backs. We got good guys on the outside. That can win byron left which was spectacular last night. He deserves to be talked about. I'm glad that you said that and again. It's a team where you've got brady and then you've got an offensive head. Coaching bruce arians. So you don't usually talk enough about the offensive coordinator are coming to you next. Who was the real. Mvp of that game last night for tampa bay. Listen tom. brady's the mvp because that's how things work. But it was about. Devon white devon white was all over the field a real life killer last night you saw him every play chasing down the football and when he chased down he lets you know that he got there. He gets the interceptions late in the game and he goes to the screen and he says this is my house and it absolutely was not only because it's where his home stadium is because he owned the grass. The entire devon white was a difference maker. He was an energy bringer. He was the do that you got pat. Mcafee needs to next wrestling match. Because he is that life he was mctaggart last night. Mcafee i feel bad. I want you to know. I didn't write this question. It was given to me. I would you describe the effort of kansas city. Punter tommy townsend last night in thirty seconds. Go ahead stop celebrate. Okay i would like to say that. A lot of the specialists last night performed at their highest ability ryan suck up hit from fifty plus button was the only one to score for the chiefs. Radley opinion absolutely pinned the chiefs deep. Whatever he had ever had a dog. Oh for the fall slips through your hands. That's all you think about for the next ten refs he. It's a touchback girly drops a snap. It's his best part penalty. Bring it back. Hits shank out of the end zone. Never good to be walking to your sideline after hitting twenty yard punt let alone out of your end zone on a super bowl going to be a long offseason. Yeah okay. That's good for the brand brand. Okay let me. I would never have guessed would do anything but super bowl today but then this happened. We've been talking about carson wentz. Basically since he got benched. Maybe we're getting close to the end of this story. Or at least the end of it in philadelphia the future carson wentz came into a lot of discussion. This weekend is adam. Schefter is reporting that. There's a growing expectation that went. We'll be traded and sue and we have shefty with this morning. So let's bring.

"The chiefs tried to regroup. They are down twenty one to six halftime. Twenty fifty five i. there's nothing the chiefs. They will be repeat box with box with the super bowl. Tom brady you are the man. You are the goat. The greatest of all time that there seems to be absolutely no question. We welcome those of you. Just joining us orlowski. Mcafee and ryan. Clark are here and dan. You sent me a text. I want to get into this. You said that. You've never seen an andy reid team as badly coached as they were last night. What did you say. It's the most outclassing i've ever seen and you read the enemy. Steve spagnuola first of all the kansas city chiefs offense. We knew what the issues were going to be going into the game right. We knew the offensive line was decimated and their planning. It's a good defense. They never had a plan. For when tampa bay got into overload when i say overload. They took vida. Jason pierre paul and sue and put them on one side line of scrimmage. They never had a plan for how to block that really. Well they never had a plan to try and create taibbi. Killing one on one travis. Calcium one on one. I mean tyree never had single coverage. They never moved those guys around. While enough tampa play tampa bay played in so much too high safety coverage just put simply when defense do that to you. Got to run the football bit. They never had a plan for that stuff like it was very much so never being allowed to they roy dictated to they never got patrick out of the pocket enough. They never moved him on purpose. Enough and spags defensively they. There was never any moment where they max dropped. We talked about like trying to defend tom. Brady they never dropped eight into coverage. It was always. Hey everybody on the outside play. One on one in tampa bay did was play action. You seven guys and protection and create those one on ones and so it was just super confusing that they played so poorly and were coached so poorly knowing that those guys were in the same situation last year. Andy reid came into this game with the best record of any coach in history with two weeks to prepare coming off a bye or in these circumstances in the playoffs twenty-seven five best of anybody. So how do we explain it. Mcafee how do you explain what happened last night. Well i think the way you can explain. This is the offensive side of the ball for the tampa buccaneers. Tom brady wanted to have that thing. Locked down last week. Okay i got a chance to talk to clyde christianson quarterback coach for the tampa bay buccaneers formerly of the indianapolis one and actually taught me whenever. I was third string quarterback for the indianapolis colts and he said tom wanted plan. That's the ability to kind of adjust as they got closer to the game. So what are we talking about byron left. Which tom brady and the on the offensive side gronkowski brown leonard fournette plan for a contract. That guy was unbelievable playoffs. Running his ass off. I think it became almost to a point where that play action offense that we're all calling for early in the season dan. You were calling for this early in the season with tampa bay buccaneers team. Tom brady has his most success whenever his backs are playing. Great football leonard fournette for the last four weeks. Three weeks has been playing. incredible football. ronald jones got hurt. They kind of handed off the playoff money and they said hey you to do your thing. And i don't think there was anything steve spagnolo could have done in that particular case and then wants brady in honey badger started chirpin. And you saw brady actually getting animated with your like okay. This is the situation again. You just don't poke the bear you don't poke the goat even the only they don't have teeth. They have the ability to go nuts and on the other side whenever you talk about that defensive line for the tampa bay buccaneers in zomig and sue. The man that grigny was just talking to a little bit ago. He's been around a long time. And whenever you get to a super bowl. I was very lucky to play in a super bowl. My rookie never made it back. But everybody can take it up another notch and dominik ensue. One into that game last night thinking if i did hurt in all of my joints months to recover from this thing when you talk about vida shaquille bear when you talk about. These guys lay low on line. They knew that they had five six months to be remembered forever. It was unbelievable watching them. Work and i assume all of them want to be back in. That team's only gonna get better and better as we go forward here down in tampa bay drunken land and then are saying go ahead ryan. No this is about week. Twelve though like you ask the question you ask the question. How can you get out coach. These two teams played. If you're the city chiefs and tyreek hill goes for two bills in the first quarter. You feel like that works. you think. That's the way to go. Why do i need to change anything. But if you're a tampa bay and you see that you understand that something has to be different right. And it's the kansas city chiefs and you blitz. Tom brady threw two interceptions that he was throwing the ball into the stands early. On and again you say you know what we're gonna come back and do the same thing but the tampa bay buccaneers. You say we did. Beat them with the play action pass. We did get the run game going a little bit. And so you come into this game with different perspective. These team saw each other in one fell good about who they who they were and the other didn't and the team that didn't change that and when they changed that is unprecedented. Run and it culminates with you seeing the same team that changed you. That's a really good point. These teams played each other twice. The buccaneers were the better team. Seven out of eight quarters and that's what winds up showing itself last night. Let me pause here. we're not breaking. We're just pausing sixty seconds..

"Fifty five tampa pass rochester swarming. Patrick mahomes constantly having mahomes on the run three sacks and route to a thirty one nine win and consumers in the middle of that is now officially a super bowl champ and we are pleased to welcome and dominik and ensue eleven year. Nfl veteran with us here on get up finally winning your first super bowl. and congratulations. And i guess. I would begin by asking you been illegal long time. You've had a lot of moments. What thoughts were in your mind. When that clock hit zero last night. I mean just pure excitement and joy Elated to be finally a champion Was there two years ago. Actually against tom and In my opinion these sold that one away from me when i was at at la So excited to just be a champion Really just soak in that moment in and really looking for my wife to hurry up and come down and get to the field. You are the first super bowl champions ever to get to celebrate and then sleep in your bed sleeping has been going on obviously amidst the celebration. What was it like to do this at home. It was awesome. I mean it was great. And i think for our preparation was It was amazing. Really two weeks straight being able to be at home especially being on the road for three weeks straight going to washington new orleans and then obviously finally went in the nfc championship in green bay so to be able to come home and win a championship in your home city And then after the game be able to just drive a couple of miles to get home and sleep in your bed for a couple hours before giving up was was definitely a great situation. You know you just mentioned it and let's just go through that. This was a defense. I think we all consider to be a good defense all year but we weren't talking about it in historical context but in the last three games. You just drew brees in his building. Then you beat aaron rodgers in his building and then you dominated patrick mahomes on the biggest stage in the sport last night. How did you do what you guys did. These last three games truthfully this defense and coach bowls of understood what we had as a unit and really just came down to us executing and being really consistent. I've always said this to the media. And just has our as in our total group that has long become consistent and be able to play four strong quarters which he did last night. We're going to be a tough defense to stop in really always prided myself being able to stop the run and then turning on the jets and getting out for the quarterback In really are secondary amazing job to shut down their receivers and we knew front. It was up to us to get after that quarterback and make a living hell for him. I think we did our job on that count. I would say so that. That's a good way to put it. He was under siege. He was running for his life to use your words a living. Hell give us the game plan. Now it's behind. What was the game plan going into last night to get all that pressure on patrick mahomes game plan truthfully was The ability to understand that mahomes is elite quarterback can roll out the pocket and really wants to get out to his right to find and make plays Step up and get into the be gap and so for me. I knew i was going to be in a great left three technique in shack in jp as well as well golden and vida they were going to push pocket in our whole goal is to move him to his left and make him Just really run and get him down to the ground so for the most part. That's what we did. And even though we gave up a a little bit of running yards late in the game Which somewhat effective and got got the moving the ball down the field I think ultimately we executed kosher bowls wanted and obviously got sacks in tons of pressures and just had the ability to make plays and turnovers and get the ball back to their offense because we knew they were going to score points no matter what and so. Let's leave it by talking about your quarterback. He obviously played great last night and had a very good year on the field but beyond his plate. How would you describe the impact that tom brady had on this football team this season his competitive edge and just truthfully his way he approaches in game and i i think ultimately i know he got me really hyped up before the game and his pre-game speech to us In he doesn't always speak in. And i think he he wanted to be reserved and choose the.

"Andy reid and eric b enemy got absolutely outclassed by todd bone defensively. I'm gonna throw this out. Hembo sent this to me. Patrick mahomes last night ran for four hundred and ninety eight yards. Be before throwing the football. He scrambled for four hundred and ninety eight yards before we had to throw the ball. This defense was on him all game long. And if you listen to. Tom brady talk like that. Was the remarkable thing. Thomas talking about like. Hey my job was kind of easy. I was clean. And i was watching patrick running for his life and it was just remarkable to watch. Todd bowles take via and put him at defensive. End and jason pierre. Paul put him at defensive tackle to attack some of those protectionist issues for kansas city. It was remarkable to watch. Todd bowles never singled up tyreek hill. One on one. It was remarkable. That todd bowles new if he played that type of to man combo coverage that kansas city couldn't help and protection because they had to get four or five guys out to try to find somebody get open it was as good of a coordinated defensive performance as i've ever seen in football dominic pick up the thought from there because again. This is a defense that came in. We said they have to win this game for their team and they did. I would add to that. The scramble drill was really impressive. Because we talk about how well coached the tea or excuse me how well the chiefs play when when the play breaks down. That didn't happen in this game. When a plague broke down you saw shaq barrett chasing down mahomes and you saw tyreek hill double coverage and normally those guys get loosened situation. But i knew yesterday was going to be a bad night for a lot of people who expected them to win. As soon as the coin toss.

And this particular topic are the box being outcoached we solve the thing happened with the saints a couple of weeks ago. We saw what happened with the rams. Now the buccaneers lost the rams game. But let's take the rams game into perspective and i think it would be. We treat the rams game like it was the saints game and it wasn't no okay the the the buccaneers that was a from a from a a watching a football game perspective. That was a good game The the score went back and forth. Different teams held the lead at different times. No team ran away with the ball at the end of the game and by the time at all said and done the team was leading the team. That had the most points when the when the clock ran out. Is the one that that a wound up winning i. It's not like one team. Beat the other one into oblivion or beat the other one into a pulp. That's not how this particular rams game win. Unlike the saints game. I know we are all feeling that feeling like from the saints game but are the bucks. Coach is actually being outcoached. They're being out-schemed which would be outcoached i feel like i'm splitting hairs. They feel like. I need to because but maybe not like. I've talked about how early this year like tier one roster tier one front office tier one coaching staff. You know tier one players and import position. Here we go. I'm not sure the coaching staff is tier one anymore It's their ideas aren't working. I was on a youtube channel type of thing. And we were talking off air and you know or maybe i did say on air but i said for the bucks who win the rams game whatever scheme they come up on offensively and defensively it has to work before adjustments so whatever they come out. Play one offense and defensively. Whatever they've decided to do it has to work or this game could be one of these things where not neces- get away from him but playing catchup all night off you know either because of defense can't stop the rams or the buck can't score now it just flip flop like the bucks offense. Look they got the ball four times in the first half score two touchdowns you know. The defense had hard time getting the rams off the field. They were out schemed off. You know defensively lisa. Rams offense was lots of short passes lots quick classes getting get goff out of the pocket because he's terrible against pressure and then of course since the quarterback so terrible against pressure todd bowles size rush four and we talked about such as saints game. You know where idea was to rush four and dropback zone and make you know brees. Hold the ball. They did the same thing with golf but they came in knowing they weren't going to hold the ball and someone has explained this to me. Why do you have to wait to have time to make adjustments because listen to me. The clock hits triple-zero right after the second quarter immediately that fifteen minute clock starts right. I mean immediately so takes you to three minutes to get in the locker. Get everyone in there right so now. We're down to twelve minutes. Someone's going to say something. Coach is going to say something then he kinda got a huddle up in your little meeting. So now we're at ten minutes right so now we're tent. Were five minutes in one third of the times gone. You're just sitting down to talk about your meetings right about what you're you're just you're going to make. How soon do the teams come back out on the field with time left because oh by the way when the triple zero has hit on the fifteen th. They're kicking the ball. It's not triple zeros. Okay i never come out of lock. Grew so they're out walking with a three minutes left right right right so now we're down to seven minutes. Tickers already out to by the way you're being all this meetings but staff but he's but he's out there so soon hit triples. Zeros like teams are out there. Set ready to go in. The ref blows the whistle and the kickoff. And here we go so now. We're down to seven minutes right all right if the buck stopped the rams or any team and they punt the ball in real time. How long do you think before they have to be back on the field rams punt the ball go to commercial comeback bucks go three and out real time commercials two minutes real time. We'll say three minutes on a three and out right right so our five punt the ball another two minutes for commercials so now. We're at seven minutes every time you walk off the field. A minimum of seven minutes. Which is the exact same time you get halftime. Why do you have to wait. 'til half time to make adjustments why. It's not rhetorical. You don't you don't you don't you don't then. Why don't they make the only time they did. They blew up. They blew up the packers. Yeah dan a little speech the bucks from the second. The second half defensive effort from the bucks was great. even though they didn't get any pressure on golf they quit missing tackles. There's uncovered was tighter. The did more man you know like. No one broken tackles for long distance until they had to stop them and one of the rams do they moved. They moved golf around because they throw the ball deeper because they don't have enough time because they had a shorter time period to get down the field and they use crossing pattern and and over patterns if they hadn't done all game long and they score. So yeah the bucks are getting coach. I mean you know who page i call. Democracy names dimitrios pages. I i know what you're talking about. She's the new ceo about draft network. And she's a she on the bucks. Podcasts the fully loaded. I don't know what they went through a little change. She was a guest. I went loose cannons. Right right and scott reynolds had brought up talking about how the but this topic the bucks are being out coached like you know. I believe it was kristen. Said that you know there's so many members here there's talking about the buzzer and she went complete. She didn't go ballistic them right away. Totally dismissing the subject. Telling them that they're stupid telling them that. That's not the way to endear soc. The coaching staff now to be fair to her christian didn't let her know that this is you know this is coming from people that have covered the bucks for thirty plus years and coming out of the mouth of a guy who's been covering almost as long as she's been alive. Maybe maybe longer she's been alive but she kept bringing up that she she went full. Scientology defense like tried to destroy. Didn't even really know what the subject was. But try to destroy and like when you talk to when you hear jake arians come on and make these excuses. And then you hear page commodity. She blame it on the player. She said the players weren't ready to go. You saw the game plan for the defense against saints It was awful. Yeah whatever they tried to do an offense either the saints completely nullified it but then they completely abandoned the run you know. they panicked. They went to form an offense halfway through the second quarter. Get being down twenty-eight nothing but whenever they tried it wouldn't work in it wasn't working on either side of the field and you get ya and you try to say these things about being at coach and people from the insider like.

"The ram game. It still worked out for mike. Yeah you know. I keep nearly impossible to cover one on one so i don't know You know it's almost like there's there's too many mouths to feed and we'll get this is one of the topics but there's no flow to this offense. It's like it's like okay. Look at the stat sheet. Oh chris doesn't have any targets yet they throwing the ball twice in a row. Okay who's next Who captured in nine plays got him. The ball Here's a play for cam. Oh wow wow. We haven't run the ball too much All right Get to the joe. And then leonard. You're going to go in and it's not about you know it's like they're trying to at it feels like i. It's not true but it feels like the end the game or you look at the stat sheet and everyone's got the same amount of touches and we win like like that's like we think that's the formula but the rhythm is offense and the flow. It's very grab baggage. I mean it's like one running from a sand worm on the planet of dune right. That's how smooth it is. Look i've been watching this for a long time. I've been watching this potato. I've been covering this team. This team this iteration like the core of this team for as long as they've been on the team. Yeah you want to know what the key is to winning you. Get michael tunnel balls. You get roggio. Shit tana balls and then everybody else to soar and then when you get in the red zone give it to to break like. That's that's kind of it like that's that's that's how we win. That's that's what. Works and peter sorensen over in the chat room said this. He's like it's like they seem more concerned with getting the deep ball to work instead of winning. Yeah like they're more concerned about whether this stuff works rather than okay. What what does it actually take to win the game. What does it take to put those points up on the board and stop other people from scoring and instead of doing all this other stuff so let's turn. Yeah yeah it just was the second quarter. We haven't done a ball to abe. What are we going to do well speaking of that. Let's go onto this next topic. Yeah why the love for leonard fournette. God knows i bet. God doesn't even know. I bet right because god's up there saying i'm telling you to go to road joe your not listening goto roggio rodriguez twenty touches. He goes over one hundred yards bucks one every game but one he he got he got one hundred seven in chicago game. Yeah should've won the game right. So i mean she was a nominee let. Let's let's just remember that. I remember that about chicago. Was this weird lake amalgam of just stuff that you're like this game with two minutes ago in the half and then we're down fourteen thirteen and you lose but nineteen two thousand eighteen right. I was just. It's like just a weird you know had one that drive the head. I think that sixty seven yards of accepted penalties. Like it was. It was like four penalties in a row or something like that. Oh my god. Yeah but leonard fournette. i mean. let's talk about it now. Listen i was all on the leonard fournette train when he first signed here. I've not been for weeks now. I have been pounding the table pounding. The table pounding. The table roggio gets twenty carries a game twenty plus carries a game. That's touches yeah. That's what i mean touches a game. That's that's the number and you know how that breaks down. It's not that hard that's about five touches per quarter five times for twenty. Yeah yeah like. It's not that much folks. It's really not about sixty plays games about two and a half touches per drive right about sixty plays per game. That's a third of your plays. You're saving two-thirds for everybody else. It's the third like twenty touches. Four one guy for roggio a game and guess what you're going gonna pop the big ones we're going to put those points up on the board and we're not going to be wearing about this down three stuff when we get to the end of the game because we're we're just but why. Why roggio had the week that he had two weeks ago. Yeah this week. He goes any drops the ball and they sit him like it's four weeks ago five touches and game five. They did not run. The ball at lebron was working as well as it could against the rams around a very good against the run but every time they ran the ball they got positive yardage kept them honest in front of the sticks. They even started. You know banging on the edge a little bit instead of between the tackle and it was working every time. Got the ball. He got positive yardage net not so much five touches for roggio game in a three point loss. Five touches is in. Its the ball in the third quarter but it wasn't a lot. Yeah we had the ball twenty seven times in the third third quarter took an hour and a half. Yeah it took forever because neither team all punt for the whole quarterback before each other it was unexcusable and i don't know who holds the coaching staff responsible for this look. I don't care what kinda swag be a and his staff come in with. I don't care how many years of combined coaching experience. How many coaches of the year. They've got. I don't care how i don't care i don't care this is it is. It is a grievous to do that. it isn't a it is ordering regis al practice coaching failure to allow that to happen. And this is where. I don't know if it's jason light. I don't know if it's ownership but somebody's gotta step in and at least demand an answer and i look. I don't watch all the press conferences anymore. So i don't know if the if the press yeah is asking these questions and get this coldness. Yeah go ahead. Ornette drop three passes that game gaming and rams stays in. I don't care about that but they asked him like you know like mike. what's like. How's the ring backs inability catch the ball you know how's that kinda clogging up the offense and he you know basically defended fornet and said well you know we need you know like one of those was on his fall. He dropped to but he's got great hands. Great hands great hands comes back on monday and They talk about houses screen. Gain gotta get better in first thing. That'd be like running backs have to catch the ball and it's like well. Which one is it bro. right you know is. Is it like you know. It's tom's fault because he fired one too. Low all for nets should have been caught. Rojas got on him real quick. And i don't mind be as explanation. Should've roge- okada like by the time. Turn around the balls hitting him like an his bicep. Tom fired a fastball. He could've put some air under it and giving them a little more time. But i can understand him wanting to get the ball there but the other three from four or they he. I know he's your third down back. But i don't know why because everything that he's supposed to do that roggio can't he doesn't he doesn't he has no. He has more drops and ronald. He can't like the gap between roggio and for net in running the balls or running back like this and this is how they are separated by receiver And they keep putting the guy in the game. Yeah it's it's inexcusable. And the only the only answer that i would that i think i would accept is roggio got hurt and so we had to take him out like if there's not a legitimate reason our game plan i know i know him plan was was that fornet gave him the best chance to move the ball. That's wrong they were wrong. I know that's what we're saying..

"Rushing linked to do so having both of these guys with a little bit varying usages helps them create some some big plays rushing the ball. and. Both are yet somewhat capable as receivers yet, I. Don't think either one is a really great receiver, but for net is catching the ball better than he did in Jacksonville and Jones is able to produce some as a receiver as well, which just gives them all the more weapons in the passing game or at least options for check downs in terms of discussing the offense of strengths, it goes in line with what we were bringing up with how Tom Brady looks very different under this Bruce Arians offense and that is their ability to stretch the field the running a lot of gun. There are even running some empty where they'll have no running backs of next to or near Tom Brady. A lot of concepts are very vertical. It is a lot of routes that are attacking defenses downfield. It's not like when he was in. New England where a lot of those concepts were a bit more west coast oriented instead Arians is goal is to. Overstretch a defense and spread them out and then attack the varying lanes that he creates with their passing concepts. As. We said before Brady is looking further downfield than we have seen him. All of his throws are going right to the first down marker. So you know on first downs he's looking ten yards down the field where at New England maybe those passes were five or six yards down the field and having. Having receiving weapons like Mike Evans. Chris Godwin before he got hurt but. Somehow again, Somehow Scotty Miller. Is actually leading the team in. Twenty Yard or more receptions again, we don't. We don't know how this happens. But he is. The. buccaneers offense looks a little bit. More. Like what the Patriots were running back in that two thousand, seven era when Josh mcdaniels was first experimenting with the spread vertical offense and they had randy moss out there stretching field being a big fast match up nightmare receiver kind of like Mike Evans though he his physical ability was kind of on a different planet from. Peru. Much anyone else and right now, the performance by Tom Brady and the way that he's able to play does I think go and correlation with with the offense like we've mentioned previously how he's working into. The scheme very very well, but you also have to talk about one his weapons that he has to throw to. But most importantly, his offensive line right now is doing very very well, they're working well together. Tristan worse has been a standout rookie tackle for them. Also Allie Mar pit looked pretty good kappa as well. They have a very good offensive line. If you watch Tom Brady he has a ton of time to throw the ball and I think that is what is leading to him being so effective as a quarterback for this team. Yeah. Yeah. The Trista works is playing really well as rookie right tackle Donovan Smith who it kind of feels like he's been in the NFL forever but he's holding his own at left tackle. Marquette and Catholic. Two guys people weren't really sure about when they first came into the NFL coming from yet small schools. They. Were both facing big jumps in competition but they've settled in guard and. Not only are they good pass protector Brady has only been sacked eight times and part of that is his ability to dissect defenses and rid of the ball. But also the offensive line is giving him giving him the time he needs to find his receivers downfield and they're also pretty good at at least selling the running game foreplay action I. I noticed on Tape Tamp when Tampa makes use of play action it's usually effective. Now transitioning to their weaknesses I'm also noticing and it's not like a major weakness for them but one thing that is Clear and very spurts throughout the game if they're struggling to to move the ball through the air and can't create some of the big plays that they want to by throwing the ball, it's easy to notice that they're rushing attack will also struggle. It is not in a separate piece of their offense that can operate independently. There are a lot of instances were in games where I saw. Them only be able to pick up a couple of yards what allows them to be so good running the ball and why Jones and fornet secondly had big games is because defenses are forced to bring out lighter packages with more defensive backs and also have less guys in the box. That is that is what they want. They want towards the end of the game for you to be forced to do. That and then they can run the ball. They're not going to be setting up the run to throw the ball. It's the complete other way around there, setting up the pass to run the ball. So if things are a little slow for them, they're not going to be able to run the ball as well as they typically would yet their offensive line is really only middling as run blockers I I believe. Football outsiders has them ranked Roughly. Pack. Right in that thirteen to fifteen range. But. If teams are able to stack the box against them, which considering their passing game is kind of a gutsy call on the defensive part, they do have difficulty opening up those. Running lanes and they do occasionally not been occasionally miss blocks on the backside and fast safeties fast linebackers can get stops behind the line of scrimmage with good pursuit. But when.

"What is on your mind to de? Another Day in the world? Another snap back bump. Go The champion of all champions Joey Chestnut a thirteenth Nathan's hot dog eating contest championship. Frankly, it wasn't even close. That's what he's. He's such a beast and pseudo who is on the women's side, a nice bedding tip on. She smoked the field on the. She had forty eight the second leg, so talk about the women's field. Because fifth-place, which how how many? How many participants were their natural nonetheless fifth-place eight seven hot dogs in ten minutes? Do. We think that she was a professional like she like when they pulled her off the street. Yeah, I, Mrs No right back more just know if we do. There should not call yourself a professional eater if you're putting up those numbers. I can one hundred percent eat seven hot dogs in ten minutes. Are you willing to make that wager? Hundred Bucks will be together in a little over two weeks. Would you make that wager? Seven hot dogs in ten minutes because I'm very confident. You would not be able to really yeah. Before we recorded I thought we both agreed. We both could do it. The more I thought about it. It's it's very hard. The Bun is crazy. Right the I just don't think you whether or not. She's very good. The fact that she trains for more than one time. You never attempted to do that and if we make this wager, I'll going to announce on Thurs Amu-. Think about it and get back to you. I will not practice once I will not try just to pilot. How bad of competitor she is! So you have to get to seven? The number would be six and a half. I think I. I I would take the under I. Think it's fun, take your. Ten minutes. We'll think about it well ten minutes right. Yeah, so you can have ten minutes. What do you think I could do? I think you get about. Five and a half. Do, you think you think. It would be my stomach against me or the time. When just run out? Like what do you think would be I think both I think I would start struggling early. No not early I think once you hit hotdog four your. is going to slow down a huge amount. I'm definitely going to have to talk to joey about it, but just off the top of my head. Like! I throwback like seven dogs without the Bun in the first like minute and a half two minutes. No? No, no, no! No. No, no, that was an outrage. Point is my point is if i? Go, Weiner first and then just have like seven two six six seven minutes of straight bread. And I went. At that we you can choose to make it wet by after. That's the only way I do. If you're just eating, the bread bites itself. You would never make it. I let us know on Thursday. Let us know Fam- lettuce. You think it would be able to eat seven hats on the main topic for today's episode. Is this skins and the Indians and a bunch of potential name changes around professional sports? Fedex and Nike threatened the Redskins. Fedex was Kinda like we don't want to sponsor you and Nike which I don't really know how Nike could do this I don't think. They have a? Right, that I was very confused about, but maybe they're saying you know what. That's how much we feel. That's how strongly we feel that they should not be your name. And then the backlash then carried on to the Cleveland Indians the tribe as their nicknamed. So. What do we think about I mean it's just like. We understand that the these names were created way long ago in history, and like obviously stuff changes in the day and age that we live in now, people are way more sensitive i. don't want to look at it from a political standpoint, I just know whatever the Redskins do change their name to I guarantee you. It sucks like I feel like the only the only name changes that we've gone through. I'm trying to just think of a few of the top of my head I mean oilers. The Texans was fine I'm talking about that. We that we lived through the. Tampa Bay devil rays to the raise devil raisers so cool. The the Charlotte bobcats became the Charlotte Hornets. The the New Orleans Hornets became the Pelicans I. Remember when the Pelicans namedrop. Why would you ever name your team? A Pelican. Bike they got a bright future, they got a means. You're down in Nola I'm the biggest thing for me is like we were talking about. It before is how much money at this point when you're a month out of training camp wouldn't name change cost for a team. Dan Gilbert and I think the rest of. Snyder. ZANDER Owners named Dan. If I was Dan Snyder. And the whole state of I mean the whole fan base wants this in Virginia DC, wherever the hell, whoever the hell sports the Redskins I would sell the team. Because you just have to. I mean I guess you'd have to account for how much money the other person's GonNa have to lose by changing the name, but like the all the fans want you to sell the team anyway yeah. Cross twenty till like you're. You're damned if you're doing, you're damned if you don't. I believe that's a catch. Twenty at it is getting. To know it across. That's a that's a. that's a seem route over the middle for six. Okay, all right fair enough my thoughts are. If if it's offensive was apparently it is very apparent. Just changed the name, and he's one of those guys who is just an ass, and he has refused to change the name. He's refused to do anything for that. Organization's why they've been terrible for forever, and it's just like so obvious just changed. Why are people so obsessed with this name? Like who really care so I say changed the Indians I. Don't know as much about the origin of that, but they say it's offensive, so Ji Lada twitter wants the Indians to change their names. THE CLEVELAND PAY FRIENDS CISCO INDOOR. Pay Their all right, so let's let's think of a few names for the Redskins, so my favorite one that I saw was to keep the team. Because everyone's don't change the name. Obviously, there's people that want to change that. Don't so for the people that don't want change. Keep it the Washington Redskins, but changed the logo to a redskin.

"Are like what we do. You know the exercise we just did in the NFC with the AFC. It's like yeah I can totally see that making you feel good about it about a second team in the AFC west. Do you feel you feel like the earn the glory. Nb that second team in the AFC or do you still have questions about what Ben looks like? You know post injury. Is he actually going to be healed? And you get to the south and it's like okay. I feel good about the colts They signed one of the best offensive. Lineman to to help anchor that defense in Buckner. And then you get Philip rivers by offensive line. Who good about that but seems like taxes are in turmoil a little bit. Obviously jags her out of it. I don't know what the Titans Look like. A on a full season after guy carried the ball four hundred times so it just seems like that is a lot easier for Bella. Check if you're talking about that third. Wild Art Bandit is managed Breezy. That we're talking about the world that's now the the the the Patriots we're not talking about them romping their way through the season and we'll get right hills. I why we allocate I really I. I will say because we haven't talked about it since the since the news of the extra playoff team. I if you have not heard this show before then Then this may come. As more of a surprise I can't stand it. The NFL pro football is not the equivalent of the NBA. The NBA. Just come out of nowhere. One season you do not just. You're not some bump team and then the next year and it's weird it's counterintuitive because basketball by its nature. You Plug. One Guy into the lineup. You can change your fortunes entirely and yet in the NBA. You have to build like you go from out of the play offs the NFL. Then you get some experience and you make a run then maybe get over the Hump finally in the NFL you can. Your fortune could just change overnight. Suddenly you're a bad team. Oh now we're in the Super Bowl. The following year. It's it's to coin flippy. The difference is narrower between pretty good in pretty bad and the NFL versus in the NBA. You throw an extra team into the mix. I think it's GonNa Spoil things even though nobody said throughout more over the last three or four months. Look if you get one of those top two seeds you get to the Super Bowl With a with a ridiculous likelihood in pro football over the last decade still every game is a coin flip and pro-football feels like or close to it and so you throw an extra team into the mix. I think it's going to. I think it's GonNa Spoil some things. I think you're GONNA see nine and seven junk getting the Super Bowl and I'm against it is is Is My thought on that. You're excited about it. That you like the idea of just one by one team getting a bye I do. I think that's such a big advantage that That that should be your reward for winning the regular season It is hard you know. The football is a hard game and we all know we've all seen players what they look like off the field and what that week of recovery looks like going into the next Sunday and and I think if in fact you get the best I mean. Think about the chiefs right. They won the Super Bowl. They were going to be playing on wild card weekend and the Patriots happened to slip up against the dolphins in that greatly agreeing of Still it's like I think it should be reserved for the number one team. I think the Ravens should have been the only team that had that because I wanted to. Regular season interesting is that they won the regular season. I think when you're division I I am of the mind they should be old school. Big Ten Bo. Sham Boeckler Woody Hayes. Kind of mentality of like the goal every year is to win the conference. That's that's what you WANNA do. You WanNa win your division and there should be a carrot for doing that and that is the by and I know every once in a while you get an eighteen when in some bummed evasion and what will work for me. The carrots fit the current. Right Homefield a month since the carrot is that that first weekend. Only you're the big ten and you only play the big ten. Save two to three. They've added that third game. Everybody pretty much plays the same people. But you know what I mean like with the last place scheduled versus a first place. At what what? What was the random rotation that we were on this year to be played the AFC north or to be play the AFC? Sal You know what I mean and how that all balances out to me. I think it's just one of you guys is going to get it. And maybe that's just the soccer fan and thinking about how you know. The champion is crowned over. Who WINS THE REGULAR SEASON? You're the champ. And that's that that's kind of your reward for that long period of time and to me. I do think there should only be one of those One particular team should should get that decided advantage everybody to me. It just doesn't make sense. That second place gets the same thing and it is such a map it up here quickly are the rams the fourth place team in their division on coney earn trouble they lose. That's how they got everybody. I'd love to hear about that money without exposing anything that is told to you or in small print near contract with your pro football team and your relationship there but it is remarkable. The rams really did get everybody who we talked to. Who's associated in any way with the organization? Everybody told that Todd Gurley line but now we're we're trying to trade him but it was. What are you talking about talk early? It's fine. What do you mean everybody? We talked to toe that line and they had the same line to. I'm fascinated. How that if you're associated with this organization you do not let on the time. We made a bad deal with top earlier. Yeah I think that's you know it's clear that it lasts is while he was celebrated there for a second you know he's made some bad deals and that's certainly the headliner of the mall Although I think the Gothia might end up being worse when it's all said and done just the amount of money given to him and look they. They've got three or four guys that are taken up over half of their contract over half of their cap. That's crazy I mean it's just you kiss let alone a running back it takes up that percentage of a the tap so I if I were forced yeah I'd say I I I mean Aaron. Donald is such a dominant force in such a gain record. Pink might still have them as the third place team. I think it's a real tossup between them and really buying around that offense I do. Yeah I just I I was saying I still think there's some of the issues with the with the air raid. And when you get in the red zone it's still topped the scoring clean and Kingsbury still trying to figure that out. I do the calories. A Sup- supreme talent love with Kenyan. Drake added to them. And obviously getting you know what many believe is the best receiver in the League. He's going to help that offense out but I just want to see it. You know Aaron Donald just that good news the best defensive player in the League and hard for me to say that. That's the last place among their spaghetti. Asca your friends. Fabiano and company the Fantasy Gurus. I mean cuyler. Murray's a first round pick in and I'm not one this a get draft. Qb But cuyler Murray should light it up things. The stars are aligned in the sense that it should be like. Acc come here like say hello to everybody. Look at everybody on the computer or low Morning Yuck I love a visual than a than an audio..

"I don't know I just kinda quickly to to to the thing that I'm most interested in with with Mario will. There's two things one. We talked Lincoln Kennedy yesterday. Who of course longtime offensive Lineman you know Pro Bowler University of Washington dominant? All American. That dies he knows what he's talking about him. He brought up a real interesting point about Derek. Remember he's the analyst for the Raider broad asked he is. He is the guy that reps the team and and he's just always been a straight shooter one of the reasons. He is a great person to talk you about these things he says. Look here's the problem with Eric. He's like if I'm on the offensive line and I'm busting my tail and I'm holding my blocks and this guy is rolling to his right and he keeps dirt ball in it and he keeps throwing the ball away. I'm getting pissed and I'm pissed about it and I'm tired of giving it that extra on because he's always look basically the way grooms offense is set up is that safety is always there. But you're supposed to use it as a last resort and wait for those rows to develop downfield he said Derrick just always goes to that check down I and when that's not there he throws the ball away and this great offensive line he says. I think it's frustrated with that because the stats are there. The completion percentage the third downs. All that stuff is there. But they don't score points so and care about your your your seventy three percent or your however many yards if you're averaging eighteen points per game or whatever it is it just doesn't matter you know that's that's you can't win football games that way. And that's why I think Mariota with a his ability to run and be that strong arm where you can really push downfield I to me. It's just much better match and I think we'll ultimately shying through and and I wouldn't be surprised you know by the end of the first quarter to seize notre. Maybe they should have waited for. Jensen. 'cause I'd say he'd be an even better match for that system than the Maryoto.

"You're going to certainly find out it will not what your religion. I control group monopoly. Two hundred games or of it now. I wonder though wife Jamison. What an indictment. If the video that I don't know if you guys saw the jape video reacting to the news of Tom Brady Commodore Tampa his joy. If that's not enough of IT MAKES BIG JAMES. Feel sad about him so. I'm like. Hey Jay you don't have to be that happy that I'm but that is a pretty striking. I mean you. You can do the math on that like I. I guess you really didn't think I was very good. It's the forty three year. Old Guy Moving down here for a year is naive but I wonder like is that a is that and I think you know we I think we we recognized that that football players that actually you know this is their job. They they react differently to most situations. But I think if you're jp you have a chance to say. I play football at Tom. Brady you know what I mean if you're what you you've never had that opportunity unless you're on the Patriots in now something you never thought was was possible in your career. You're going to be able to say I played football with arguably the greatest player the greatest quarterback to ever played the game. I do think there's just maybe some in the moment reaction like holy crap. I'm going to be a locker room on the field and I'm going to be able to help fighting first of all. I Love Your Kite. You on that Petros and money. They are L. The finest radio show on the land. Check out every day. You're doing you're you're sticking with the good guys. I hurt absolutely true. Yeah as as you know. Get to live the dream call and pro football games For a living is pretty cool stuff but I heard you talking about exactly. How COOL WOULD BE TO CALL TOM. Brady game that's my qb and the bump into the facility and kids with him and all that stuff. Yeah I get that by the way Reggie Wayne is the only guy who's ever honest with us about that. When I when I've asked players opposing players like do you ever take a second to look across? You'll be like Oh my God? There's Tom Brady the best of all time they're like. Nope never think about that regular sure. Yeah sure. Yeah I did that yet. It's cool like yeah. It was made me nervous to be playing against the baits bite. So now Jamie's is out on the market. I guess I guess there's some chance or he's an interesting one to me and I. Maybe it's because I love college football and I just remembered for the state team you know and it's like man. How does someone not WanNa take a swing at that? I mean I know. He threw the thirty picks and he's always had turnover issues. But my God that guy passed for five thousand freaking yards in any still throws a beautiful ball but again I think it's probably just my bias. You know of of watching those Florida state teams and being like Holy Crap. This guy is one of the best quarterbacks we've seen in college football and I was thinking and my math is exactly the same. That's exactly right. No way not not guy who who got Florida State. Over with the with the last minute touchdown pass and the guy was the first overall pick and the guy who has had some legitimate moments in the NFL. But if like I say the J. D. P. thing on a personal level on a human level like come on be the bigger indictment is that the qb whispers. We always talk about. Andy Reid and Bruce. Arians are the legit. Qb whispers and everybody else's a fraud in that regard. If Bruce Arians like we don't want to do a long term with this guy we get the forty three year old guy. Then I know egos are are big among offensive coordinators in the NFL. But aren't they going to be like well? Bruce Arians didn't want to keep them. Why are we going to bring Jameson? But I really don't know where the natural spot is for him save. The interesting thing is handsome. Hanks team I don't think they would do it. But I think the darter like it's not like you get you get you. There's a there's a recently vacated spot in that same division that you know they probably GonNa Wanna put competition. I could see him easily. See Him go to New England and and be wined quarterbacks that shooting for that role with a rookie. Which arts did a maybe not another quarterback as well and just let them battle it out like there? Isn't it obvious? Isn't it obvious? Solution for the Patriots given where they pick in in the first round are. Let's get to that because I don't WANNA run out of time but I do want to talk about a bunch of other stuff but And maybe we'll get to it today. Maybe we won't just real great before you do that about this like I. I was thinking about it. Who would you rather have camera Janus really I mean two years ago. Yeah yes not being able to throw a football all the kids. Those kids not. I don't want to draw comparisons between me and the the fried foods out on the beach Florida right now but just as I always. I think our society lean and and I count myself among these like. We're a little cavalier about like yeah. The scientists will fix everything. They'll they'll they'll figure everything out. I am a kind of that way about football players these days. I am kind of like Peyton Manning. He can't play anymore. He's got a bad neck doctors. They'll fix that. And then Peyton you know goes on to have a few brilliant seasons with Denver. I'm kind of thinking the same thing's going to happen with Cam. A year or two from now will be like remember when people were like Cams. Never GonNA play football again. Yeah that was silly. Now he's a Supercar carjacker see. I think he's different. You know to me camps different. I mean he is really taken a beating over. The course of. We have really seen just his past. He's never been a great passer ever in in his career. Rookie year. Right when you have that monster game to start his career the five hundred yards passing game against the cardinals will remember it and I think that's what it was. I think we all remember. But since then the guy hasn't thrown over four thousand yards. He doesn't throw a ton of touchdowns and we just Kinda saw his last season prior to this last one when he missed the whole year man at look bad in it looked like it was unraveling and now you take. That'll athleticism away from him. You know that made him that special player. I'm not like I think I would be more comfortable doing a one year. Proven the Janus lab while are either either those in play With your employer. I don't know I I really don't I think you know I. I do think they were being honest when they said we're comfortable with tyrod especially if they draft if at six or they move up to get to a or if they liked Jordan lauber Justin herber. I think the tyrod thing makes sense. Because you're GONNA get your loved one and later but I do again if they were interested in time than that means that they were interested in pr and then that means that they couldn't be that excited about opening a new stadium with tyrod. Taylor poor tyrod Taylor by the way but this is the way we we keep talking about. How a couple of situations but I you know maybe. Jayme is to reduce the gap or Ouaga. Say just in terms of like. Hey let's see if we get him on. The cheap could make the Guy Twenty five twenty five back to your board. How did you have him rated when he came out? Is there enough there that you know like what basically what what Mike and Mike May Often? Jon Gruden did with Mariota Right. You know May Adam. His is number. One quarterback Gruden had always sung his praises And they're like whatever we can get this guy and a one year deal or not sold on our quarterback and let's see if we struggled we basically. What the titanic. We can do it. Mario I would feel the same way about doing it with Janus again more so than I would with Cam. I think it's thirty with all the injuries with what we've seen the last two seasons. Just as if I'm like if I'm the bears would I rather have Cam Push Mitch or James Right Not Situation? I think he's the right guy for the best. Because you what you in keeping Mitch. What you kind of. Gm and coach. Who who drafted him? You still want him to win that job so you don't want someone that's going to be. I think cameras to Alpha for that situation James Right. He lived in a world with Ryan Fitzpatrick a year ago. That you know he was he was kind of in a job shad position especially at the start of that season when he was when he was unavailable for the bucks so. I think he knows how to handle it. I think under the cabinet willing to go in and be like Again Way I'm battling with a guy called Mitch trubisky. This is not just doesn't doesn't feel like it's going to be his thing whereas for the charges though I could definitely see. I'm not convinced that there's actually a market for cam in a trade. Given given his his contract and everything else. I wouldn't be surprised if the panthers just a couple of weeks from now when they realized that flat-out out released Karen. Just say right. We're moving on DOTS. Probably that's probably will judge then could say all right we will do a one year deal to see how healthy you are. It may be does the PR thing for us. Get some some butts in seats execture and and then pretty soon to that experience. You'RE GONNA find out okay is healthy to any extent while obviously it's not gonna go this way with our guy With David cars brother Derek. There is going to get the stick around. It would seem for another year and go toe to toe with Marcus. Maybe Mariota Ironically. This is ironic that since he got replaced by Ryan Tannehill and if he went to Las Vegas and ended up being the Savior for the twenty twenty raiders. That that's irony. That would be ironic so there would be a what would be at. Is that what we now is? If Derek weren't there and then And then Gruden said like hey also get James here and now. Let's have the two guys who went into the draft compete for For the starting GIG for us. That'd be fun that would you know that wouldn't be ironic. It would just be fun to for us to say back by the way. I think Marietta wins the job. I think I think you will see. They'll sell it as he's coming into his backup. And then I think you will see training camp roll around and much like we saw in Tennessee and a team that was not sold on their starter. All of a sudden you're Errand Alright Ryan. Tannehill is getting fifty percent of the snaps in in camp. That's kind of weird. I think back same after this many years of watching Mariota you know who he is. He is exactly rich Gannon he. I mean all skills all the attributes the demeanor and otherwise I don't know about active intellects lex but they play like if you blur. Your eyes that that does make all the sense. In the world with what John Gruden's done over the years again the legitimacy. If Bruce Arians is not comfortable with you as his quarterback that I can't imagine a bigger indictment to send out to the rest of pro football like Bruce Bruce felt like there was something else out there. I one Kinda Ego. Would you have to have like? Yeah bruises wrong. I'll show you with James here. I don't I don't know what's going to end up with.

"Have a one could be looking at you with your Christmas mug too. I like the money's more up to speed. Is that with his holidays. He's still wearing just yeah. He slept in his clothes that he wore yesterday named lows. I like I like the money. I like the idea of money just like hey Saint Patrick's Day I'm putting on a twister. I'm from Chicago. We Great Saint Patrick's Day. It is a holy day and I am getting drunk. Girls and Sir One of my Out Sheriff Real. Quick One of my Eric St. Patty Memories. I believe I was in sixth grade at the time and my buddy VICI- as his nickname was used to live in. Beverly which is on the South side is the south side. Irish neighborhood record Probably most predominant Irish neighborhood in all of Chicago and they have a legendary Saint Patrick's Day parade and the first one I remember going to. It goes up and down Western avenue. There's a million bars On this strip. They do a pub crawl where you get a punch card every year. And you gotta try to put down like twenty five beers or something like that over the course of Saint Patrick's Day but I'm like twelve and vicious Lenk. Hey we're all well actually. It was like hey. We're going to go to the parade. You guys are going to believe this so we go out to the parade route and these floats are going by that are sponsored by the bars and the local businesses. You know emanate bank whatever it may be every single one of them is throwing out cans of beer with their thoughts from the flow then as twelve year olds we collect all of these cans get into the gutter. Henry run back to his backyard and we start drinking beers. I think we must have had forty beers for like five of us and we got absolutely destroyed at the same rate skimpy. You money. Isn't it. Yeah that's what I teach. Kids might be persuaded.

"Hey what's up. Rise up squad. Today we have the pleasure of interviewing Bryant Mitchell Brian Mitchell plays in the NFL the Tampa. Bay buccaneers it was really great conversation. I do want to say the audio on. This one was not as good. There are some static ends too bad connection but we did make the best of it So just bear with us on this one. It's still a good interview. Brian has some great insights overcoming. Fear how to have a stronger faith how to build disciplines So again bear with me and listen enter Bryant Mitchell with the Tampa Bay buccaneers Bryant. Yes are you do good man. I'm glad we finally get to chat a little bit or yeah awesome. Man couldn't tell us a little bit about yourself I'm a father momentum. Obviously I'm in that week. You know. I'm a loving person. We're giving person. Just you know a person who wants to make a difference in the world so for me personally say that my faith in God has been and my motivator and and being you know been walking on his journey to accom- yeah that's awesome so so tell me something about yourself that most people don't know also something about myself most people. I like to sing so you know. Most people don't don't know that about me Grew up singing in the choir. My mother was a choir director. So you know. I actually enjoy so were you a alto or soprano. He could tell you that. I don't even think I know what those mean. I was just throwing that out. Yeah that's good so you're on the Tampa Bay buccaneers. Yes Sir okay so you were in the CFL last year with the Edmonton Eskimos. Okay how long were you with them. So with the With them for training camp in Twenty fifteen and prior to being released in Built a relationship and a good report with the general manager and he happened to you know like me enough to want to bring me back so so he brought me back next year. Oh good so prior to that now what. What college did you go to? I went to North Western state in Louisiana. Tomorrow one division late. Yeah good good. What is your most perfect your greatest accomplishment in life so far when it comes to being a father you know at release something that really pushing me and dry my wife? You know My father passed away when I was growing up. So you know wanting that has pushed me to want to be a better the funder for my kids right. Yeah I agree. I think being a father is one of the most rewarding things and also a great responsibility. So it's it's neat to see guys like you and men of God raise godly children. Because that's what this world world needs. You know yeah so this next question. It kind of goes with that last one. What's your definition of success I would say personally would be then. Then she leaves Arcane Change One life for yeah that would be a blessed you know fruit. We dare think that that is initiative success. It's good so what do you think you could improve on when it comes to the NFL. I think for me personally having a faster fast or understand you know. I've been playing the game alone time. So you know I can say that you know. I understand the game pretty well. I think the difference between the sea and the NFL is that things happen a lot slower and see if bill so you can recognize defenses a lot faster for yourself whereas now the NFL things process a lot faster so you have to process a lot faster. Yeah absolutely I played in high school. Yeah and you know decent for high school but it's crazy have just every level just gets faster and faster and better and better spree. I need you get to play on that level. So what have been the greatest obstacles in your path on your journey to the NFL. A Myself Holding you know. I didn't get my great together like I should have You know even at the the end you know when I got my grades together The grades from prior years Held me back from calling to the College of my choice you know and I think that we just applying myself Win Not understanding. What was that hand? You know I I guess so sometimes so really grasp what was actually at hand in order to get to this point. Yeah and I think that's a a lot of challenge for a lot of younger kids today. They don't really understand what is at hand. What kind of advice could them? You know first off until any younger living distractions. You know distractions come from all different areas. They can come from friends women gain and they can come from music. You just have to limit distractions and with less distractions you you. You have more consistent and more disciplined than I think that you know in anything. I take the time if I would've taken the time to be more disciplined. They show up in your life later on and even now you know for the guys that are where I am. The you know the guys who are very disciplined you know the drew brees the world you see that you see what they would accomplished in their lives and the thing that they can do about also say just you know. Make sure that you're always giving back to others. You know reach backing and really just you know show love for one another no matter how you can because when you look at life man it when people say the Nice Guy Finishes last. That's all right. You know I truly believe God see that and you know you. You'll be blessed for you know Jerry wanting on the plus other so I think during forty yeah absolutely give an shop given unto you and another thing. I believe that kind of holds people back as they're not willing willing to to sacrifice you you know if if they're like let's say they want to be an entrepreneur and they see all these fancy easy Aziz shoes and they see the coachella events and you know they so badly. They want the status more than they want the success. If that makes accents I see that so much and I've been there myself. It's like you know. Why did I buy this? Why do I have a payment on? Just what are they willing to sacrifice. And I think that's kind of a tough one for some people. Yeah you know. I post something on my twitter yesterday. you know. They like more than they like like the garage. Yeah I definitely resonated because you know I sacrifice a lot you know. I have three kids doing this. You know going. I went through this whole journey. I've had to sacrifice time and at this point right because I know that there's a greater outcome you know and understanding you know like you said I wasn't a club guide and drink you know I don't I didn't smoke. I don't drink or smoke but you know understand even in college like you know my friends will go out. I didn't beat that guy to go out and do all the things that everybody else's dog absolutely and of course you have always been a role model but I think once you get to higher levels of were more people are watching you you know now. People are wondering your actions and now it's about just being that example and showing the youth would it takes so. Do you have a favorite Bible verse. Orange favorite quote the great question. I would say that you know else at the moment that resonates with me the most is I those people for one we should myself likewise to this crisis suffered and blessed He said he suffered and rushes from saying you know and and I think in this world today a lot of people don't believe that we could see what I'm saying you know but the tells us that we can't if we were to suffer awfullest and I think a lot of time most people don't want us up in question to you know we'd like to do field where instant gratification you know and so I think that that is very important you know and even songs on I know talks about how young L. necklaces ways so they can heat it according to the word so In those things like it's telling a how we could be you the whole and I and I think that a lot of times we get to a point where it's like well okay. I wanted to do this but I don't WanNa do all right. You know I wanna do what feels excuse saying you know this when you're walking across you can't do what feels good. You can't walk and your your feelings emotions you know you have to be led to work so aw that's really for me. It's very exit point. Yeah Yeah it's like like you say a lot of people at and I think we've all done it is okay God you can have. You can have this part of my life and you can have this but but don't touch that right you know. Don't touch this part of my life because because I don't want to let go that but when we truly surrender and give it all began. It's just amazing. How much better life really is you know? We need to get into his word. It's harder to send when we're walking daily and meditating on his word so you have a favorite book runs down the read this book by Tim Grover Relentless. Yeah I tim grover just a book that he wrote You don't work with Jordan Co oh you anyway. It's just about their relentlessness and he talks about there's like there's stages of you know closer cleaner and she nothing is heard on but essentially it's telling us that you know in order to be all of these things. There's there's stages that we have to go through you know and a lot of people people don't want to go through these stages because they don't have what it takes and so he talks about that attack minds as talks about talks about you know being cleaner and the cleaner you know. We'll do whatever it takes. You know what I mean even talks about quite Leonard being cleaner being a cleaner. You have to understand your dark sauce. You you know. And when he says he's saying you know it was really dark side. He's saying when you get on that field or you know and the stadium wherever you may click you know you go. Oh Franz from who you are you out to be pretty good. That's good. I'm at the grab that one. They're pretty good..
