"Well, I'll let you know about going to Dublin next year at this time. Please do. I would love the opportunity. I'm very honored to receive the invitation. Sure. And how many are you trying to get back to my homeland? And anything to get back. For a second, I thought you were talking about double Ohio where I'm from. In Ireland, that makes sense. Do you have an accent? Because we're demanding that everybody who goes has to be able to say, you know, have some kind of accent there. When I get drunk, yes. Okay. Great. That comes out. And naturally comes out. All right. My grandpappy. All right. Yeah, because patty Fitzgerald just brought northwestern back there, so. We had him on yesterday. It takes a few beers. We can work that week and there will be a few of those. Thank you, Brady. And have fun in West Lafayette, Indiana. Well, do you think about it? That's Brady Quinn. Eggland's best is done this pony lesson. Organico the egg landscape. Eggland's best continually. This business must be Tamina. Solo eggland's best. "But that qualified you to be the commissioner of a football. No. Not at all. He was on the road for 5 years. That's all he did. What did he do? I don't know if he was the president and general manager of the Houston dynamo. What? Oh, well I guess that's what I guess okay. Wow. He was a president of NFL Europe. Okay, so he has some background. Well, there you go. Okay. Yeah. Interesting. Okay. All right, buddy. Enjoy your millions of dollars at Vince paja and whatever that settlement was. That was also an NDA. We're never going to find out about that. Oh, my God. Right. Also, The Rock surprise is cousin and WWE superstar Tamina with a new house. You can see the video on his Instagram. Hey rock, how long have you had a $1 billion? Yeah. You just now given your family houses? Brock said she deserves a lot more than a single mom raising two kids all while living the hard life as a pro wrestler on the road. Wrestling nights for years. I wanted to bring a little stability in my cousin's life for her and her kids. Is it single mom? She's still technically married to tozawa, I think. Took me one second to what? You said it was us a serious face. What the fuck is disappoint? Rock also surprised his mother with a new house last month, but I'm sure that's probably the 5th new house. But I'm gonna say like, how do you post that? She's crying and you're like, wait, rock, you should have, who's the first person you would buy a house for? No, but he's bought in her 5 houses. But then why is she crying? I can't believe. Like, what is happening? Yeah. Tamina was, but yeah. Well, I mean, I get that, right? I mean, you don't owe anybody anything. You don't owe your cousin anything. Right. But if you have one. There's gonna be a video next week of rock buying Roman Reigns a house. It's gonna be like acknowledge me. He just throws him through one of the walls. The WrestleMania bitch. Also, unfortunately, we lost two former WWE referees this past. Same week. Crazy. Rest in peace. Two days of each other, right? Yeah. Dave Hebner and Tim white. I saw Tim white at WrestleMania this year. Like WrestleMania Sunday, I was on the floor and I saw him walking around and I was like, oh, that's him. Yeah. Yeah. How long did Dave Hebner actually officiate? I read that. But I read that he was a referee for when macho man won the title. Really? Yeah. Did they call him Earl? I don't know. Was he just moonlighting as his brother, twin brother? I don't think they call the refs anything. Just go out there. Our AW is the one where it's like, oh, referee Aubrey Edwards, there she is. Yeah. You know? All right, on to rumors. Kevin Owens wins back the universal title? Maybe. Bel Air club to finally get a second member? Brock Lesnar willingly works a full schedule? No chance. Next year's WrestleMania will be in Saudi Arabia. So last week, wrestling Inc's Raj giri tweeted that his WWE source told him that Sasha Banks has been released, however, WWE has still yet to confirm this. Yeah, but if she has been in the publicly traded company, I'm sure that's how to have come out by now, right? We never, they never wished Cesaro, they never told him to get better wishes. I know, but it still is. Well, in the next call, you're not paying someone. And the next call, they'll know. Also, fightful reported that Randy Orton could be, but no, if she is released, that's a big get for AEW because they're women wrestling has been so bad since they've had it. But she's almost too big for them. Who beats her? Right, no, no one. You don't. You don't have anyone Peter. Yeah. Fight for you. It was like one of those memes with who's a Canadian Drake, where he's like, and then he's like, you know what I mean? And he's like this. Right. Or it's like, Sasha Banks coming to AEW and Tony is like this, and then Sasha Banks get a ton of money. He's like this. And then Sasha Banks pinning what's under rosa and baker. Baker. And he's like, he's like, sorry, that's my superstar. Right. Yeah. The other thing is, what's her name going to be in AW? It's not going to be Sasha Banks. Mercedes Martinez or whatever. I'm sure it's a real Mercedes Martinez. What is that other wrestler? I'm sorry, what is her real name? Mercedes Vernon. Okay. Fernando's not a cool. Mercedes is cool. But Verna? That's her husband's name, but she also is her maiden name is like castner or something. That's not cool. She can go with Mercedes Justine. Sure. Or just Mercedes banks in that they get away with that. We're just Mercedes. Look at the one name thing. Sure. It's Mercedes. Also, Dave Meltzer says Roman Reigns is only scheduled to appear on raw one time for the entire summer. And that makes sense 'cause, you know, I don't watch raw. Yeah, true. She went by miss Mercedes in the minor or in the other leagues. So that might be that miss Mercedes. Yeah. Sure, sure, sure. Maybe. Or they just call her, no, they probably instead of legit boss the boss. I don't know. The boss. Who was the undisputed elite, right? Exactly. Do you have trivia? I do. All right. This is kind of crazy. I think I'm gonna beat Eric this week. I was gonna make it versus and do something different. Like make it about Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns because they fought 8 times. And they're four and four, right? Okay. But now they have to fight. Yeah. This is hard. Not counting the MSG show, which not a raw SmackDown or pay per view, right? It was just an MSG show. Because he beat theory there. When was his last singles victory? Lesnar? Brock Lesnar. I'll give you a hint. It's been a long time. Singles victory. Singles 51. One on one. He won the Royal Rumble right. Okay. He lost the reins at day one. He beat a bunch of people, he lost to reigns at not Survivor Series. He used lots of rains that Saudi mania. Brown jewel. I'll even tell you the last loss before that. Okay. WrestleMania to Drew McIntyre. He lost the title. Okay. So his match before that was his last win. He can remember. I can't even believe who he fought. Hold on. Oh. No..

"So much more fun than raw. A home improvement podcast? I'm down. Can we? Start from episode one. In episode 603 of the home improvement podcast. We do this joke. And no, we don't have COVID. We just have no voice left because we've been doing that too many times. We could sing our own theme song? There's got to be like a compilation on YouTube of him just doing it like 400 times. And I'm going to watch her. I'm going to look that up after this show. Yeah. And I'll just laugh my ass off. All right, let's get to, let's get to awards. Who did you have for worst dressed? I had Tamina. I also had Tamina. I had Becky Lynch just because, again, her face makeup was so bad. Like she did not look attractive. So going there. Best dressed. Bel Air. All right. I had bliss. All right, Alexa Bliss as well. You know, as long as Sasha's not here, yeah. It's a toss up. Right. Worst acting? I doubled down and went with Tamina as well. I also went with Tamina as well. I will do it on the show. She deserved it. Yeah, I went with Sheamus because any time he talks, I want to no. What's that they're full of? Fella. And I hate how mojito excited pad Mack feel he's gets when Shane has comes out. I'm like, but no, he sucks, pat. And you don't. Best acting. Best acting. I had the beast slayer. The beast slayer. I had the player, the visionary, the architect, Seth, freaking, Rollins. Yeah. Sweep it. The nightmare wake her upper. No. Nope, nope. Swinging a miss. Yes. Worst comments. Rumor Willis. Yes, I had that as well. Really? I had ain't no one meaner than Tamina. Yeah, he does that all the time. Ain't no one meaner than Tamina. You can even rhyme you dumb fuck. Yeah. Best comments. You don't get to destroy the throne and come back and try to make it from me. Yeah, that's clearly it. We can sweep that, but I did. I left out loud when there were yelling liar at each other, Sammy and Kevin. Yeah. And then he goes, liar, pants on fire. And Kevin went too far. It's heavy goes, sorry, sorry. Go ahead. Becky also had a great line when she was talking about handing over the belt to Asuka. She's like, when I went to go create life, like the God that I am. That was amazing. Yeah, Eric, I can't let that pass. You said Seth's line, like kind of nonchalant, so please say it the right way. By all means. Redeeming. No, I mean, you say it. Now you don't want it. You don't get to break the throne and then come back and take it away from me. All right. All right. You forget the all right. All right. All right. Worst match. Ronda and Raquel versus nettie and Shayna yeah, sure. I had Rhonda and Raquel for worst match, and then my slo-mo was Rhonda and Raquel versus daddy and Shayna. Okay. Mine was a drew day versus. I fuck you, Eric for that. Look for that. My slo-mo was how slowly this is our rolled up Tamina to win the 24/7 championship. Right. Best match. Who are you? Yeah. We're smooth. Shakey's dancing. Dancing, I expect shanky to be a jackass. Drew's dancing? Anyone dancing? Did you dance? Yeah. Yeah, I had Kaiser's kick to the chest for the win. That's my finisher. Sound good? Yeah, that sounds great. Yeah. Best move. Best move was giving Seth Rollins a mic on. No shit. That's funny. I had the super RKO. I mean, he does it so well. I had Cody tackling Seth of the barricade because like their fight was so good. Like their brawl felt so real and I really wanted to be expecting it. But usually only break that one barricade that's like near the timekeeper. Yes. So it's nice to see that they went with a different one for a change. Around here. Yeah. Worst moment or segment. Just 24/7. Just off. Like just 24/7 raw and SmackDown. WWE. 24/7? Yeah. I mean, I had the main segment of whatever, call it. Contract signing. I was trying to decide between miss TV in the 24 bullshit. And you actually know mos and I picked miss TV just 'cause it went on longer. It did. Fair enough. And then best moment or segment, that's easy. Seth freaking Rollins. We're setting Cody. Yeah. Right. That segment was fucking. Them being them. Right. All right, that's all for awards. So now it's time for breaking news. And oh boy, this is embarrassing. So WWE announced that they have moved the money in the bank location. From Allegiant Stadium, which holds 65 thousand people. To the MGM Grand arena, which holds 17,000 people. Just a little under. A little less. All right. Yeah, obviously it's because of low ticket sales. But once again, Eric and I went to SummerSlam. It was half empty. Right. And if you can't sell out SummerSlam, how are you going to sell out money in the bank in the same fucking stadium? And even one that went to SummerSlam would never want to go back to that stadium again because of the horrible experience it was. Including this guy, that's right. And I still blame you, Eric, for that. You're welcome. We could have went to all out with Brian Danielson and Adam Cole debuting, but no Erica. Also, money in the bank is going head to head with UFC. Who is also in Las Vegas on the same night? Really? The same night. They chose to do money in the bank on a Saturday. It's a sad day. Wow. Yeah. That's stupid. Like a UFC show, like a big one. Yeah? Oh, you have a big name. No, but I'm not, I'm a casual UFC, so I don't know all the, you know. No, no, no, no. I don't think so. I think that's the next month. The main event is not a title fight, but yeah, it's still UFC. Also, The Rock's daughter, Simone Johnson, who signed with WWE in 2020 as officially received her in ring name. And it's Ava rain. AVA, and.

"Can't afford to pay CFO, some fucking money. Well, I mean, at this point, watch that contract ran out. I still don't know if they use some of them still. I still don't understand any of that. They don't pay someone to make music and they still own it. There's no way ventures. Royalties. But that's how that's royalties and music. But I thought they hired them to make the music so they own the music, but they pay them well, but they don't pay them royalties. I don't know. But even if they do, dude, you can't replace good music with shit music. And they still pay they clearly still pay whatever fucking ban does ordinance music. You know what I mean? Yeah. But I am a real American. Every time I met hits. So I don't know. But it starts with Ciampa saying my moment is now. And then it's just generic music after that. You are completely pathetic. Right. It's like what? No, you're not getting a moment. Talk. What's your moment? Rolling up rude. For the second week in a row. Yeah. Second week in a row. Ciampa beats rude with a roll up. That's the first. That's the first roll up, wow. And we're not even one for SmackDown. True. After the match Ziggler lays Champa out with a superkick and hypes the tag team match for NXT and he says tomorrow we prove that the dirty dogs are the dirtiest dogs in the game, Jack. Yeah. Sigler just doesn't care anymore, I think. Yeah. He's like, why do I care? Do I get paid? Okay, good. Yeah. Next up we have Dana Brooke and Reggie versus Tamina and Akira tozawa Reggie beats tozawa with his taint flip after the match Dana passion passionately kisses Reggie and they fall to the mat. And then Tamina passionately kisses tozawa. And his our passes out. Yes, he goes. He's never been key. No, never. Give her. Yeah, he's only kissed kisses omos dick. Remember when omaze is one of his ninjas. Right. There you go. And awfulness. Next up we have Rey Mysterio and Dominic Mysterio versus The Hurt Business. Rain Dominic come out first and talk about how much they hate them is. So The Miz comes out and talks shit. Miss did his, you know, when my hand goes up, your mouth goes shut. WWE on Fox tweeted, do you know what this means? And it's Miz raising his hand up in the air. And they left it up for like an hour before they realized it looks like the Nazi salute. Oh my God. Did anyone reply saying that everyone looks like we know what that means, yeah. We got it. It looks just like the Nazis. So that was interesting. They're almost like questioning. Has anyone know what this means? It looks familiar. Anyone? Right. Nazis. Got it. Thank you. You don't know what's going on. Miss blond hair, blue eyes, and his hands up in the air. Yeah. That makes everyone's everyone should die. So as for the match, miss grab dominik's leg, ray chased him to the back and Sheldon Benjamin beat Dominic with a roll up, yeah. Two in a row, yeah. Next up we have RK bro versus the street profits. Okay. Okay. This finish was not executed well. It was weird. Montez Ford's steak or something? Well, we're done got injured on the frog splash. Okay, his right shoulder got injured. And then you can see Ford pretending to like, but he was talking to Orton. And then Orton rolls to the corner 'cause he did the frog splash in the middle of the ring, but clearly the ending of the match is what happens. So Wharton has to awkwardly roll to the corner of the ring, Ford goes for the pin Orton reached his leg to the bottom rope, and Angelo Dawkins was supposed to push Orton's leg away from the rope, but instead he pushed Orton's leg towards the rope, but still one, two, three, street profits win. I don't know if they're teasing a heel turn for the street profits because they cheated kind of, but after the match like Orton was favoring his right shoulder and so we're not sure that could be scary. Like that's a WrestleMania match that could get canceled if fortune is really injured against riddle. Yeah. Yeah. Or if they want to keep it going, they just say lose next week. When they turn, finally on each other? I would hope. Yeah. I mean, I don't know for sure, but I could see them just being like everyone likes this. Let's just keep going with it. Like the new day. We'll never break you guys up. You'll be together forever. Right. Because new day, it's been 7 years. The beginning of 2015. It's been 7 years. Yeah, and that time span DX got together, broke up, got together both together broke up, got together broke up and then got together. That's not even that, yeah, that's accurate. All of those. Yeah. Montez Ford later tweeted pinned a world champion got the woman and everyone is healthy all in one night, got his great. So if you want to read into that that Orton's okay, then you can. But that's all we know. Got the woman. Got the woman and everyone is healthy. So I don't know. Not the woman. Bianca, I don't know. He's got her, he got her. Do you not get her before that? Yeah, I don't know. Oh, good friend. Veer is still coming, by the way. So don't worry. Now, WWE two K is coming out and if you try to play as them in the game, they're like sorry, he has not come yet, so you can't play as him yet. That would be amazing if they have them. And he says, it still hasn't. Well, we'll release them as soon as he comes, but he hasn't come yet. Oh my God. That'd be great. Oh, next up, they brought this back because everyone's been dying to see this again. Vince McMahon and Austin theory in a backstage segment. They talk about how Vince is going to be on pad McAfee's show. Theory tells Vince. It's been about 20 years since you've done a sit down interview. And last time that happened, you slapped the papers out of the interviewer's lap and scared him to death. Yeah, you remember that theory? You were 5. And he scared him to death. He died. The interview is in 2003, theory was born in 1997. So he was like 5 or 6. Wow. At the most. Yeah. So then theory S Vince, what if pat McAfee tries to jump you? I could be right there and pull him off of you. And then Vince tells theory. That's not that kind of a show. And he walks away. Yeah. Then theory picks up a pencil and says, but it could be. And then I assume he just stuck it up his ass. And then they faded out and you heard, you heard this, you heard. It's a good sound. So this will supposedly lead to pat McAfee versus Vince McMahon at WrestleMania. It could be the worst event in wrestling history. How convinced wrestle? How? I assume I assume. Can't hit him in his face. It'll explode. I assume they'll book the match. They'll say it's going to happen. And then right before Vince goes. Right, right, right, right, right. And that's what they do. And then so just theory beats McAfee, I guess? No. No. Jesus. McAfee pins. Who would you rather watch wrestle? McAfee's great. No, I'm sure, but I'm saying you can't have McAfee win. No? And then go, all right, kid, I'm gonna go back behind the chair and I don't know. You continue your career? I don't know. It's WrestleMania. So literally anything can happen. True. Yeah. You'd have to have help, I think. Or Vince screws Austin over. Maybe. It's like the screwjob. No, Vince, no, it's been Vince. I called an audible. No, no, Vince, don't do that. I mean, they booked him as like a legitimate threat in NXT. Yeah. He had two matches and he did great and he did. He did. He jumped off the top of the cage. He never had to one on one match against Cole. But he lost. But it was a great match. It was like the best celebrity match ever. Yeah, true. It was amazing, right? So I could see him winning. Wow. Next up we have Finn Balor versus Damien priest for the United States championship. Yeah. I didn't see this one coming. No. Balor hits the coup de grace for the win. That's why I was saying last week I was like, why would they do this? Yeah. But why would they change the title as well right for WrestleMania? Right. And give it to a good guy. Do you want to say it? Or why? And.

"It's fourth and goal. The jets are up by one in the fourth quarter. They start off with a play fake. Wilson takes the snap fakes the hand off looking end zone being flush now scrambles to the right. Zach Wilson, their rookie quarterback goes through every possible read. He looks right. He looks left. Nobody's open. He's got a scramble, and then he sees his Beacon in the night. 6 foot 8, 310 pound Connor McDermott, standing in the end zone. He throws in the back of the end zone. He's got Connor McDermott. His offensive lineman who is a tackle eligible on the play. He is being marked by his teammates in the corner of the end zone. Zach Wilson throws it up, McDermott makes the leaping grab in a play that Zach Wilson has called probably the highlight of my entire life so far that touchdown pass. I just see this big dude with his hands in the air in the back of the end zone with no one around. And I was like, oh my gosh, should I throw it to him? Is this happening? "CBC Radio one Across Canada across North America on serious exam 1 69 and from P R X. My name is Tom. Not that long ago, the cartoonist Adrian, tell Meena thought he was going to die. I don't mean that in a general existentially. Adrian tell Meena was lying alone in a hospital room, convinced the death was imminent. So he started to reflect on his life and some context, while Adri was 16 when he started publishing comics, he's an illustrator for the magazine, The New York ER. He's considered a giant in his field, but that particular day none of that really mattered at all. Neither did well a lot of the things he used to stress about. I'm very happy to report that Adrian is 46 now very much still alive. And he reflects on this experience in his brand new book, The Loneliness of the Long Distance cartoonist Adrian Tamina is on the line from Brooklyn in New York. Hi, How are you? I'm doing Well, Thank you for having me. It's a pleasure to have you. Welcome to the show. So take me back to that day. What? What made you think you were going to die? Well, it was a pain in the chest Elevated heart rate, dizziness. All these all these symptoms that I had always associated with heart attack. You know, I called into my doctor and without even hearing any more detail than what I just gave you. They said get to an emergency room right now. You know, I think often when you're near death Oh, I mean, not that I've ever been near death, but you know often when we were, we were given the idea that when people are near death They're very calm, very enlightened their life sort of passes before their eyes. What was going through your mind? Well, I guess you know, outwardly, I probably did seem fairly calm. Henry had to put on a little bit of a charade because I was with my kids at the time and my wife was at work, and I didn't want to freak them out. So I had to just act as if nothing was wrong, You know, so there was no outward panic, but my mind was was racing for sure. And You know, my main concern was that If I was going to die, I didn't want to do it in front of them. Without their mom being around to help them. How hold really at this time. This was just a couple of years ago. So you're liking your early forties? Yeah, and And if you don't mind me asking, what was what was the diagnosis? What? What? What? What had you gone through? After something like 12 hours in the hospital. Takeaway was, we think it's a combination of anxiety and acid reflux and These things. Ah, little bit of what they call it. White White Coat syndrome that, like being in the hospital actually makes the symptoms worse because of the stress. And so it was never, you know. It's not like they found the the germs floating in me and identified them. You know, it was it was a diagnosis, and they made an approximation. You know, it seems to be correct as far as I could. You know, I think it's I think it's it's sadly relatively common for people who are exhibiting their first ever panic attacks are the first symptoms of anxiety attacks to think that I'm having a stroke, and they think that they're You know, they're having a heart attack, or they think that they're dying. I mean, I certainly been there, but what I find interesting about your stories. When you're in the hospital. You've had all this incredible success in the world of cartooning at a very young age. Work wasn't on your mind at all. Was that? Why was that so surprising for you? Just because I have lived my life with sort of Ah, an idealized vision of what it means to be an artist and the life priorities that that entails. You know, kind of always having your heart on your mind at all times while you get through all the mundane aspects of Rhea life. And so I had sort of assumed. I didn't think it would come that early. But I assumed that there would be some point in my life where I'd be in a hospital, and they'd say Not looking good. This is the end and suddenly my mind would flashed all the different books that the comics that I didn't get to finish. Or maybe the one that I was working on at that moment, and I go into this panic and You know, my top priority would be to get in touch with other cartoonists who I thought could complete my vision or something like that. You know, Heaven forbid that the world misses out on one more book for me. You're like you're like Mozart, you know? Yeah, I understand, you know, but but it was comforting to know that that wasn't what crossed your mind because the difference between thinking you're dying and dying is almost negligible, like in terms, right? Mind right, so Was it comforting to know that in your last quote unquote last moments you weren't well. For me. The realization was that I was not as much of a devoted artist as I always thought I was And that I felt good about it that I felt actually really relieved. That was my my reaction to to think about things like my my wife and my family and my parents more than a graphic novel. In the beginning of the book, You start with you kind of in your classroom as a child, telling the students all the comic books that you're into, and then sort of bullying you for it. Let's go back back. Even before that. When did you first get interested in or even just kind of fall in love with comics? It predates my memory. I mean, there's there's photos of me looking at comic books and trying to draw comic books long before my memory had clicked on. I've got a older brother who's eight years older than me who was a comic book then and so they were just always around from from before my birth. They were just sort of a natural part of my surroundings, and then you end up Pretty early on in your life, making a widely renowned comic When you're 16 years old, started self publishing a comic series called Optic Nerve. What did that involve? How did you How did you get it out? Well, it wasn't widely renowned at that point, it was well, I mean, it was why the renowned amongst my parents and brother, maybe it's become maybe. I mean, it's become sort of legendary now, you know? Yeah, I mean, the first the first print run of of that generation was 25 you know, three went to my family members and the rest that sat in my drawer, But you know, that was the pre Internet days of self publishing where I would do Little comics in a sketchbook and take them to Ah copy shop and basically kind of hand assembled little little pamphlets. The equivalent now would be posting it online, and this was the very Primitive version of that, So eventually you do get your big break in your new publisher Send you on this book tour, which sounds very exciting and very glamorous. And there's the scene were you and the sort of legendary Canadian cartoonist Seth or going to a signing, and no one really shows up. I wonder if you could pick up the story there for us..
