"I would like to bring him to his first opening night, you know, that'd be awesome. Yeah. So that was big Tuukka, Rask 300 Win. That was a proud moment for you. You love the truck around. Yeah yeah. I was that was about time because it was just every time that he had the opportunity to do it it just came up this a total mess but home with the injuries and and and this and that it's just good to have them in the fold. Tai Anderson wrote an article not too long ago about Tuukka and potentially not being at 100% which could be a concern moving forward. But from what I've seen so far, I think it's load management that Bruce Cassidy is taking with this team and, and moving forward. That's the way it's going to be and and hope he gets to 100% before the playoffs. I mean, we're talking thirteen fourteen games away so still want a time. If if the if the idea of swimming and and halak is dead. A little more to get him that rest. I'm good for it means. Freedom has been just unbelievable. Talk about him later on though. Yeah I was going to say I just I'm not you know I don't really I took things but I'm not really it huge on the social media because there's a reason I didn't have social media for the first twenty years of his existence cuz I don't want to get in the shit, you know. Like I just it's a dumpster fire. I haven't take bulk and I'm not fighting the fight unless I am. I need to kind of plane, you know. But I just, you know, took her ass cuz the Bruins Legend, whether you like it or not. Hashtag fax suck it up. So, how many like to could he have bad games? Yeah. Is he a human? Yeah, is he's got a strange personality, you know? Yeah, but he was a legend. You can see and, without the Stanley Cups and everything like that, and don't forget him if this comparison, but Patrick Wall was a freaking nutcase. Okay. And he was legendary, I mean, and and this is pretty without the Stanley Cup. So obviously, this is what we're seeing in him crazy goaltending. Happen and even Patrick had many bad games. I know a couple or Cam Nealy just absolutely lit that Patty Hua ass up all the talking about it I was actually and then you know he has bad days. It's just it's just a narrative of we need to direct all of our hate to one area, which is always this certain type of area of a team like like the same quarterback, the picture and the goaltender and hockey and, you know, I don't know, basketball. What would you be in basketball point that maybe, like, a playing card?.

"So I mean this so many small moves that you can log. When the bottom line so sorry bottom 12 numbers they suck. Yeah, but so we'll see what happens with Freddy. I'm not overly worried about it. But like I said if I needed that grit and we would just you know that prototypical soft team. Will Air quotes that one I could see him getting back on the line up to add that kind of Dimension. But right now it's it's pretty much in Logan's birth article that he wrote Finessin this morning is just one of those things that it's so hard to take somebody out of the lineup right now to get him in there. So I'm completely with it off next topic do the Bruins have a goalie controversy and more or less. This is just I don't know. I kind of Drew it up. It's kind of drawn up from the fans off in my opinion. You have a lot of fans out there that are saying you know what they're seeing in Jeremy swimming and don't get me wrong. I am absolutely loving this this kid has deserved. Every opportunity he's getting but let's be real here. He would only be up here. He's only up here in Philadelphia is getting time too because of the what's going on with injuries wage if there wasn't any if if Tuukka Rask was healthy and playing well and and jaroslav halak was healthy and not cool with the crap and playing. Well, I don't believe we'd see Jeremy swimming or wage. I believe that they've get a bunch. They re splitting a lot of time down in Providence in this 26 game regular season and that's over six games from now. So pretty much in the name of weeks that that Providence year is over and we don't know what's going to happen with playoffs. So you might see more, you know, taxi Squad members, who knows? I'm not sure about the limit on the tax or school. I'm not an expert at all that I just more or less. I want to see him get the experience. But I also let's let's hold the phone on keeping them up here and rest off. A veteran riding the hot hand I get it. I totally get that but for me, it's just let's let's let's take a one step at a time. We have something good here in this Tandem and if they stick together, you know next year. I think it would be great for a full season. I don't know. There's so many rumors out there Bob McClellan said something about on National T too. By the way, it was a Bruins game that the Bruins interested in retaining Rask in Hawaii back from minimal contracts, but I don't know about that. Has how they played now like really changed the minds of the future or there's a lot of experts that I hear on podcast and writers like Tai Anderson said. V the hockey show this weekend or earlier this week that you know, he thinks that both Florida and swimming should get another year and we should get some vets in here. Not rush this but there's so many different opinions about what's going on right now, but for me, I I kind of.

"Five the sports hub in Boston has been gracious enough to hang on for one more segment here on the show talking about the Boston Bruins you know the more you watch that first line play time wondering is it David Foster knocked that makes that line really go well used for eight years what else are you watching him and now he's really at that line driver he scored how this goal I think is approaching twenty in terms of game opening goals which when your best player with bank account to your team it makes a big difference and and I think that's what's really paid off for this line I mean of course is lying because it's like Brad Marchand at the number three option on that line and that's a pretty good player talking about so we can bring you can break the idea of you know number three of our lives so he's writing pop not take flight this evening leading give pasar take flight and it's been a phenomenal to watch I think that the biggest difference with David fought back the tears that he's stronger you know he went from being a bully having that wiry frame look it up and down the we're not here to get the muscles get back here in the photo site through the battles that frustrated him years ago you haven't quit on plays doesn't get the don't hate me more he battles and I think that last year was a breakout for America and you got it you're in the playoffs not really bothered new hearing health being focused on not letting people take advantage of the glee you look back at that first from last year Jake muzzin hit them hard to read his assignment after the end of it so I think you focus on on being able to withstand that physicality within that punishment because he knows it's going to come when you're a talented he is so I think that's made a big difference for for that line thirteen items of what he can do it and I for one option is offline no time when you're a team that was as close as Boston was last year of winning the Stanley Cup and you had a decision to make on Torey Krug our guests this year at the trade deadline is it really not that shocking that they kept him knowing that they feel like this is a Stanley Cup contending team I guess they'll deal with crew when they have to but what was your sense with how they played that situation at the deadline and what does that mean for crude moving forward I honestly thought that would be free of all that money by trading back on and it required Ricky and crew almost immediately I had a feeling that was what they were going to do because they freed up all this money long term that it fails me too much sense for them to see if you have anything to pride story group well I would say that that I expected that conjure up to get done but it really is going to go down to the wire with the sides of both sides they they wasn't still there not squabbling over the money yes they know they're gonna get you when they get to it it was a massive part of it he knows just what will the land on that you know what kind of discount are you getting from him what does that look like you have a printer of have an in house that they don't want to pay people more than a papers run bluemix of six point eight million in change so the discount get him below that money who's to say I think that group is a current real Madrid print and crop if you make it that far you can get thirty million seven half million eight million per year thank Gail but I think that both sides are playing it by ear things were going to find a spot eventually and I think that the problem of the group that the expansion draft really kind of messes with them in terms of being able to vote big money to Torrey Krug beyond this year as they might lose value when they have to protect him fifty can you DO to come with a no trade clause so that might make things a little bit harder for the Bruins but I think that they were never going to treat it because it could be like any cancer thing in terms of what their goals are for the but moving forward that's being like both sides build communication but nothing is imminent and they're gonna they're gonna put the phone down to the wire tai Anderson from ninety five the sports hub joins your lighting power play live news radio WFLA were getting set for lighting inference you know tie line you're just coming off a win against the Calgary flames the other day there was a lot of talk that this could be the last go around for that core group of players for the flames before maybe they look to blow things up and retool of course here in Tampa Bay there's a lot of talk about the window being still open with their core group of players still signed to long term deals and relatively another they're gonna have to make some moves in the offseason to deal with the salary cap I'm wondering when you take a look at this Bruins team and kind of give a big picture point of view do you feel like the the window is still open a few more years for this team to be really competitive and when a cop I figured but it needs some help and when I say that I'm at you need to make sure the other proper backup goalie to help keep the rap continued to be what we couldn't the last two years with our stop walking down activity three years old and he's playing the best hockey of his career you I need to make sure you have guys behind him to complain about thirty five to forty five games to keep him fresh for the playoffs so that the nature part of it your Bergeron creek you have to be healthy both these guys right there in their mid thirty this point akshara forty three CDC McEvoy Karluk take that next step in the repair torch for this team on the back and so I think that they need some help and now on that front either helping and good fortune you're on their side but ultimately I I I think that they needed another Ford pick another staff American rap rock at the exact fit me get out of Providence that they have they they have some prospects so I think we're finding that next I'd be there next second line waiting for their first line wing that allows them to pull one of these guys but the client I just become a truly stacked franchise so I think it's open for another year eight years after that but but it it's going to require some crafty maneuvering marquee event and another player the break out and that's what keeps a lot of help but I think the difference especially true I'd given what you've seen in recent seasons specially again I go back to you in that it had a great goaltender Jaroslav walk behind you guys and it's absolutely paid off to the best hockey adversity right and that includes your very fond of as an art rock I think this is a fact never quite October yet making sure you have a guy next to him you can show the loan so that the fresh in April brain here and it's been a massive boost he blasted but I'm curious what your take is on Tampa Bay and what they did at the trade deadline in relief over the last year where they've gone out and acquired players Ty who maybe have a bit more size a bit more sandpaper to their game do you think that's something they needed to address and what did you make of guys like Blake Coleman in Berkeley good role and it I have guys like Luke Schenn and hot maroon are these pick ups you think they can really be beneficial in the long run for the same quarter the Cameroon pick up when happened absolutely even after one of the bright side in a Cup final last year I thought that was a book that can be are you a good Barclay Goodrow another one who I think they look at what Saint Louis that last year they say okay well if you're really kind of pushed around and see what happens and Bruce **** and hide from that you mentioned that the Bruins are smaller community to win on power plays verses right transparent they wish that were the case the best roster contract right now so whatever I love that will hurt like Coleman I thought that was a fantastic move a player with term a really versatile scorer who can play a lot of rules here but that was a great move especially with you with what you gave up give a first round pick yeah which kind of hurt but he also give a a prospect that you take a look at your pool to keep cool for you okay with surviving that might get you so I love that movie a good rescue like an overpay given some of the pieces on there are on the roster first round pick for that but again you're talking to a guy to turn to talk about that that makes sense for your franchise long term I see you do that and then it goes in one of a little strange you wonder how he fits I I think that the one guy looked at the animal thank you if there but they've made it work before we eat every belt but I guess I'll Brattle other deadline I thought they made some great moves that he will not cost effective moves specially to cater Blake Coleman I can't I can't believe how little that guy makes outlook over the next year and and change so big big news for them I really like it it's just that there's a pushed over the hump I guess that's the biggest thing that we talked about with this team for a while now I think we called it the kind of guy that you hate to play against the playoffs it's just a matter of the translating the points on the board same thing for procrit route good roads not as any points but you want to know if you can if you can make a difference maker at seven games with those guys I mean look at Fawcett Junker alley you'll keep Nordstrom these guys are hearing that there come from last year's state players like that at the camper that unified I couple of them Coleman and and and grow good point time will tell coming up here just a little bit we'll see if it it pays dividends for them and also to for the Boston Bruins ties always but we appreciate the expertise and we'll do it again real soon these two teams play twice in a span of five days so maybe that hatred gets dialed up a little bit more appreciated by anytime hi there goes that's tai Anderson from ninety eight five the sports hub in Boston getting you set for lightning and the Bruins should be good ones tonight of course will have all of the game call here on newsradio WFLA and lighting power play don't forget after the game brining blonde I will have the last calls will be able to break down this game with you hopefully it's another win "Played to their level so I think what they do is they rely on that first line so much read at the point now where we are he David Posnack double shifted for them with you that line broken up every night your participation with us for five minutes more than the next closest right wingers so I think that's a good thing for them they just looked at and said okay we're actually going to double check box the provided more structure what we're trying to reverse breaking up is typically the first line or second or third line so definitely done I was in the camper to get a great line up because I think that it makes your top heavy I think that's why they got caught her rich you're trying to figure out if they can find that balance and find great VPN permit linemate that makes sense on down the stretch Kash is interesting that's either a lot of teams I think they were interested in him but injuries and his history of injuries maybe kept teams away what do you make of his upside and his talent level still a pretty young age too yeah that's the big thing the aims of the contract you signed for next thing that you point six million and even our fate at the end of that contract so you have to control for a while I watching him up close the last few games one thing that jumps out is the speed I mean even the after burner up there and what you like about it as well as date back to Anaheim stays in the box and that's a Christian Christian Flores got take charge with a parking inspector would not make the extra pass or or three engines fired on that he's that kind of guy so that's what I like about him are you are you for that I I think it indicate he she still trying to find it like back in Boston after missing about think of a few we're not a hundred forty arrived in town so little bit of an adjustment but I think what you like about it is if the if the shot I I think it's often been thinks there are pretty good in terms of knowing where to be very depressed locks out there trying to fight it back home on the phone if you game but I think that that's the guy we look at it you can see the upside there and see how you get it includes Kathy fifty seven eighty gets properly adjusted hi Anderson from ninety five the sports hub in Boston joining us here on lighting power play newsradio WFLA we're gonna take a quick break we're gonna come back with part two of our interview with tai Anderson breaking down this game tonight between the Bruins and the lightning it's all coming up next on news radio WFLA and leading power play introducing the what do you want for dinner mail from out back steak house it's a delicious platter of whatever you choose about Beck's menu because.

"All right letting power play live rolls along great with only with you were getting set for lightning and Bruins tonight here at Emily Rita should be good one although both teams I think pretty secure and where they are when it comes to the Atlantic division standings I think this is all just about positioning it really maybe a measuring stick for both teams but here to talk about the Bruins a bit more a good friend from ninety eight five the sports hub in Boston we love have Amman let's welcome back to the program via the phone line hi Anderson tie great to be with you get buttons were not much changes whatever I have you on when it comes to the Bruins and lightning typically either Boston's number one or Tampa bay's number one and I think it speaks to how consistently good these two teams have been over the last couple years yeah I mean it's been a fantastic sort of here you had the head to head games over the last three or four seasons here it feels like these people are always going against one another I ate me here more than the scoreboard I mean you look at how they operate the trade deadline two years ago the birds get Rick Nash what happens next they have lightning get Ryan McDonagh notice here wait Coleman and energetic Richie Andrea Cassar for the for the Bruins so it's it's been a really interesting dynamic in the few franchises in your yard yet again the collision course between these two teams that for the most part barring some sort of unforeseen incident in the first round of the playoffs so these are two games that I think the broker to look at and say okay are we ready if the true contender in the Eastern Conference that might sound weird after what they did last season but keep in mind that didn't have to go through Tampa and they've lost both meetings with them this year so different okay Meghan speaking for the group wondering to tie you know we talk about rivalries in today sports I think sometimes it's a bit hard with the parity in today's game because it seems like every team is a good measuring stick against whomever but where do you think Tampa ranks in terms of rivalries for Boston they did make the playoffs a couple years back I think that's probably regenerate most of your hatred for a team but you know these two teams have been a top of the Atlantic division now for the last few years do you think there's a a solid built in rivalry between these two teams and where would that ring for Boston I'm curious looking for prosperity the number one robbery right right now that's just kinda how it is Montreal is on the historical and particularly in Victorian times be good for a long time now so it's kind of hard to have that your number one up and then beyond that I think with your character what divided light or the capital of the capital really it had the Bruins number for about eight hours you'll ever bring hope we've been our goal time there so I would say that it's a way to to rent her opinion my biggest problem robbery that I don't I don't think that you clear or if you had a incident number down to six alfalfa for so I'm gonna hurt the rival but I would say that when you're talking about the battling for a playoff format yet perhaps either upper Q. and and I think that undesirable put it in right now and and given the fact that again they always are cute after that I would standing in your power raking in your okay who's gonna come out of the Atlantic ranking it really is sort of you can confide in first apprenticing in and what I like about this robbery personally in fact it does seem that means over time you know read it Boston had campus number for a while now can't seem to have bought out three different cycle of this actually made a great interoperate tai Anderson from ninety five the sports hub joins us here leading power play live time I've talked about it before on my show I don't know how you feel about this whenever you get to the playoffs you're gonna have to be really good teams and whether it's the first round or whether it's in the third round if there's a team that you think is going to give you some big issues eventually if you keep advancing you're gonna have to find that team and and take them out but I'm wondering how big of a deal is it for Boston or Tampa Bay to finish number one overall in the standings or finish second in the Atlantic to take on that third place team in their division in other words a lot of people would sit there and say Tampa at the number two seed will take on Toronto maybe is the number three seed and that might be a better match up as opposed to being the number one seed going against maybe one of the better teams how do you feel about that is that all just talked to kill time or do you think there's anything to that when you start talking about match ups in the first round well I think that would be great because if you look at it Elizabeth standing in Europe to chronic problems this year at eight you're looking better off playing them in the first round in a white hot wild card it includes the second wild card get a little bit in terms of who is going to be for a while you're going to be a hundred points team I don't know but still take a clean that has that report but for a lot of it looking like okay what number do you think that your land and you're quite the fact last night at ten fifteen AM at copper that's that's a huge advantage thanks when you lose the whole life right go back to last year or two years ago rather now porthole lights was responsive and pocketed campaign and you say okay I I would rather have that either okay game several B. in your building so I think that's a big thing for the difference is that they've been a tremendous help you look at sort of it their their record on how many penalty taker on homers on the road they want to be home and I think specially if you're talking about camping out of the fact that they have their say they're playing you know Washington in the third round if they get so fortunate they want to be at home for games one and five is that it can't do that if you're trying to you know taken seriously want to play a dangerous dangerous game to look at it they will we don't want to have the number one because the team is is a better matchup for I think that's in your the trouble and you get popped in the mouth and you end up losing the first round so for them they just want to make sure there are a hundred percent healthy ready erected meant to be recharged and obviously in my opinion having whole life allow that sort of worry about that and and and have their best chance at getting back to the file hi is this Boston team now with the trades they made it this year and the ones they made last year do you feel like things are starting to really come together with their new acquisitions and you feel like you know this is a really solid that Bruins team they shored up some deficiencies maybe they they had before quite upgrades that when we're talking about this year but one of the great you're not precaution there slight upgrades what they had on their roster contradict them a right shot right wing returned half aren't there pop in on our end no no yes we speak to get them off and injuries are concerned yes but here they're going to give them more they're getting at Hainan and they look great for years there's no like you need the power cord for thirty five in the third line I need the big sick hearing about two thirty any look every bit of it hello and that helped the New York Lakers gave backers who the contract was just too much they really aren't getting anything out of it so when you look at the roster there that make that you're not after the upgrade but they are slight upgrade and I think that you're finding both guys refinement putting here gosh is looking like a guy who hasn't played in a few weeks so it's timing is a little off lately but Nick Ritchie I think is really finding our feet your requested crazy right now at the fifth that might make sense for that the brexit have down here are so Bridget to kind of provide that classic the body of Christ but the principle of life for the consecration linemate asserts that they'll be helpful for them when the Charlie Coyle they got in at the deadline last year but he really is haunted home box give their number three center behind birds running crazy there's a lot of things really well puck possession of one I'd buy it again sorry so I think that what he does for me is the absolute game changer so they really built fifteen deaths we have up to speed in their life that you're you know it's interesting you mentioned crate she and his linemates the brusque having a bit of an off your particular over the last what ten games held scoreless I'm wondering you know United discuss this before with that dynamic first line do you think eventually they're going to have to maybe separate those guys or do you feel like they're going to give the rest of the games in the regular season to see if they can figure out who's gonna play on that second line without breaking up the first yes there will be a second line and I think that they went into the year the plan of okay we're going to break the first line up for a little bit see what happens but the problem is that that line is just too good indeed they've never really huge her battle lines are so dominant so I think that it in a perfect world they'd like to give free Jean Parker after a week or two and they see what happens but the reality is that you can't break that line up in such an advance to your community and you look at this roster which rosters in the greatest at five one five they just haven't found their footing if you're in a lot of that comes back to what we talk about these guys take a step back haven't played to their level so I think what they do is they rely on that first line so much read at the point now where we are he David Posnack double shifted for them with you that.
