"So you grew up in East Germany like. Yes. Wow. How was that? What was that like? Does it seem like a distant memory now? Yeah. Because you know damned forty eight now but definitely you grew up in a in an environment where boggles matter friendship breeding matters inability matters no way that you can rely on on friends and. Thanks, you need a life. So I think it's a good upbringing. That's for sure. What do you think was most formative of childhood that you can kind of say that's why I am who I am today. You know I, think you entire life makes you the person you're obviously also what your parents teach you and what your parents live like and my parents from very much teaching ons too key both feet on the ground and. Always be kind respectful to other people no matter who they are and. That is something which you know. I think up to today by value by doing so. And I grew up like this and I guess out. So when you don't have a when you don't draw in extreme luxury, you know when you grow up just a few things, you become very creative and you resourceful intonations and. Keep. Going for the things you want I think that's also something. which gets less and less this society because the children for today pretty much everything from the board. I think it's a different generation. What is the most quintessentially? German thing about you I used to be always on time I'm pretty much on time still. One point it's very German, and so I think I'm sending for quantity and technology in science i. think that is something very German. I remember that Carly member we went on that navy press trip to Hamburg and it was to the second yeah. Yeah we were like Oh, my God, we gotta get to the lobby like. And then German. The wet lead you to get into medical school and you know decide you wanted to take that path. My mother was a lead doctor and she took me to the hospital. When I was a kid, you know to go on visit patients and stuff. So I got into this Medicare idea very early when it was four years already decided I won't be a doctor himself. And never changed. You know to score studied medicine. And I came Dr Early on i. read that when you were in medical school you you're also a young mum and a single mom at that time, and so that couldn't have been easy. Maybe not a lot of people know that part of your story. So was there a particular mantra at that time and you're juggling so much like what helped? You get through through that time. So I was mother was twenty three and I just had done my first big step in medical school and gratefully at that time as their had my mom to help me a lot with my kids but I, think it's just you know you go step by step I think one of my mantras really to take things. Don't look too much out what's going on in the future because then you definitely get around. So step by step and put a checkmark behind everything in Italic Sawed. So with having tried and going to school and do all these days are just doing them. Moving forward, I think that helps you know not stress about future. Just get it done and you become a manager yourself because you have to keep all the balls in the at the same time I'm really good at this now. and. So you became a medical doctor in the field of orthopedics. How did you meet the late great? Koby Bryant. So so I came into other pigs by chance originally wanted to get into pediatrician because at my chide I couldn't see the kids suffering. So I decided okay. 'cause also studied sports, parents, medicines. I win the peaks to do my doctor studied there and I like all the peaks but I was also interested in aesthetics and I had to wait for to get a place in the clinic I wanted to start working and I had to wait half year in this year I decided to go. clinic and then I loved you know working in science so much. Stayed there and didn't go to Tadic's pedic's than I did later but I stayed there pioneering this treatment, we the proteins from God's and decreed cometary proteins to stop the inflammation and the aging process in the joins and we had so many people coming for treatments from everywhere from the word courts, people and people with joint problems in Australia tried is in you know. So we got to meet a lot of people. Not just you know sports

"You can add them as your own original tweet, but that's not a way to be able to harass people, so I think some of that might be misconstrued. The company says quote. Your current profile photo will be added as Tadic Image on your audio attachment and will not refresh if you update your profile photo. That part of it is a little weird. Because, I don't know. I guess the company has just like. Let's keep it visual. Which is you know? Let's let's make sure that like some sort of profile. imagery is attached, but it won't be updated based on your actual profile photo I don't really have a huge problem with this. I don't I don't feel lake as a twitter user. I am endanger of getting these like horrible. audio replies again, not even a feature, but there's not a huge way that i. feel like I would be harassed more than I normally would. But, but maybe maybe I'm missing something. What do you guys think I? Mean Look, it's not audio video. They're just processing your audio and making a video out of it, and that's the reason why your your image won't change. If it were an audio player that they were building into this, then they would be able to dynamically change your your thing, but they are effectively creating. What is a totally. The a similar thing to what bill been doing forever, which is uploading audio clips with static images or finding a clip from a song or something like that and you usually have to go through a video editor then uploaded as video. This is an internal way that now you can generate these short videos that are essentially audio that being said. Twitter should have known that they were updating a feature on twitter. Like this is not the the this thing is innocuous, right and but at the same time they should I'm shocked that they didn't roll this out. As a Beta for for some country first so they could understand what some of the issues were, and catch a little bit of the blowback, and at least have the safe position of saying no, when we roll this out to the US. Of course, we'll have close captioning. Of course we'll have all these things for accessibility. Instead they roll it out. Twitter does what twitter does, which is complain and it's. It's a mind blowing to me that twitter. Does it realize who they're changing this platform for? Just an IT'S I didn't even think about that as they're literally just doing audio grams for Yes for twitter does yeah like the the they'd contact the folks at headliner and they're like okay. We're GONNA WE'RE GONNA put this on the platform..

"The oil got oil. Prices could be headed to ten dollars a barrel as the global economy. A gold standard coming soon and the oil in bucks in this country. That ten bucks is I mean that would bankrupt shale oil. They're already have trouble. What is to be sixty eight or something? We think it's fifty. I think is closer to fifty. Okay Anyway. Ten dollars oil oil prices could be headed to ten dollars. A barrel as the global economy heads towards recession and the oil price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia is adding to the crisis problems piling up for countries that are both importers and exporters of oil. Such is Indonesia Algiers Jessica. Washington has the story from Jakarta around the world. The Corona virus outbreak isn't just a health. Emergency it's also an economic one disruptions to supply chains were given but such dramatic price war in the oil market was unexpected falling out between Saudi Arabia and Russia sparked to the sharpest one day crash in oil prices since the Gulf War. Indonesia is one of the country's that's both an exporter and importer and economists think it could be a challenging time for the country and its oil industry. The exporters will really going to feel the pinch I think the first is With the corona virus impacting the global economy. The China's economy Will feel slow down? The global economy will slow down like almost everything in recent weeks. The slump in oil prices comes back to the corona virus outbreak China. The world's biggest importer of oil was turning back tankers as its economy began to contract. Saudi Arabia called for a massive cut in production but Russia disagreed and in response. Riyadh ramped up production This whole thing still. It's either we're either in with Russia in it was Saudi Arabia. And I I don't know I said I just wanted. I want to reveal the story as the as the official story. Not Our interpretation right and the official story is that once the corona hit China China. Being the big abuser of oil. They've Saudi Tadic Bunch of tankers going in and said No. No no no. We got too much now. You gotta go back. You can't put it in anchor. Some don't we can't take your oil. And so the Saudi freaks out and they call the Russians are their partners with in terms of running OPEC whatever's left of it and they say hey look what just happened is going to be a disaster. We got to cut production. The price is high in Russia's said thinks so miette this net and so the after saying yet to the Saudis for you. They're going to be double crossed the Russians are going to try to steal the Saudi contracts with China. And this is okay. You WanNA play that game. We can play that game and they cranked up production. Because it's pretty well known that the Saudi Saudis can make money off their oil Iraq. At least this is something I brought up on the show a million times. I don't have to clip anymore. Where the guy says you can do about twenty five bucks a barrel and Russians. Can't they need like forty? And so they figure this screw the Russians and so they ramped it up and now the Russians are going to have a problem in everybody else's to especially I mean except California where they apparently pay no attention to this and the gas prices have actually gone up at the pump because of California's legislature. Thank you very much. Your gas prices have gone up. Yeah four bunch now so you can steal two and a half thousand dollars worth of goods. Your gas prices went up half your your places on fire or earthquake. Shaking sounds like fires earthquakes. That's a lot of crime and homelessness. You guys need some extra to take some fire. Psychology-Based Design Tactics To Boost Your Conversions & Brand Awareness With Sagi Shrieber

"GONNA BE TALKING ALL ABOUT PSYCHOLOGY DESIGN. Tadic's is going to boost your conversions in your brand awareness through the roof skis actually from Tel Aviv. That's why sometimes I have a little issue browsing his name soggy or ski. But you'll hear me go probably both throughout the entire episode but it is sagis right okay sagis aspect so we're going to be doing some great things about this and I've known Sigi now for a couple years you know mostly virtually you know as we've gone through and designed the fire homepage. There's some other amazing things. He's actually right now. Working on a project with us for the podcasters paradise homepage and some other awesome stuff. So you know. This is the person that I really know like entrust on a lot of levels you know. He's invested heavily in himself through. People like Pat Flynn's Accelerator Program. Chris duckers masterminds. And then of course you know being here entrepreneurs on fire. He is just absolutely taking his business in his life to that next level and I love everything that he stands for and what he's all about. But I want you to kind of break down your story a little bit. You have a great promise for us. Fire nation listeners. Right now the by the end of the session. What we're actually going to get out of this so tell us your story gives your promise. Then let's take it away her awesome so my story is not actually connected to my promise here in this episode. Become my story in a way is how we met and like you said. I'm investing myself a lot and I'm committed to my success and I think that all entrepreneurs we need to be committed to our success just really really hard sometimes and because were kind of like shooting rockets. We can work very hard but Santa. We just work in the. You know not really with any specific path that we know we're following and and when we don't have guidance then we can get lost. That's exactly what happened to me. And in mid two thousand seventeen I was totally broke after I left my day job a year before that I had a very successful startup as design director to work on design blog and I thought everything was great but it just like after six months. I just couldn't pull a dime of my own company and I find myself up to six months of non pulling salary to myself and tolling that and in two weeks checks. Are we going to the credit cards are GONNA come come down in? I'm going to eat totally just not be able to put food for my family. Provide food for my family and I was like it was very tough moment And that's that was the point where I actually Called out in reached out to someone that I listened to on your show Kelvin. Wayman and Dislike it was amazing how everything happened so fast but I hired him. As a coach. I flew over to Israel and Just an anonymous person. I don't want anonymous entrepreneur meteorologist like hiring someone from the US. I read Kelvin's book after on your podcast in its reached out in In any flew over and we sat down in this office until vive and I was just like in such a mental state. I know probably everybody on. This show can can can relate. I bet you can relate we under as entrepreneurs we nobody'd dozen go through you know bad spots in their journey and I was at a very rough spot in just like the beginning joining so I didn't even know about anything like so so Kelvin wayman receding in the room. And he tells me like this. And it's time to write your vision like in six months you waking up in your super frigging pumped to just start the day. It's not a vacation. Day is just irregular. Day and your Ponta start the day. What's going on in your life and that was a moment or I i. I'm like longtime. I actually think in optimistic way for a second. I am an optimistic dude. Totally down for months and And I wrote down a couple of things so one was like financial goal. I WanNa talk about that. The other one was if I make it through this. I'm going to start my own community and help other people crush it with their businesses and the third thing was I going to be booked on an interview on a popular podcast in a row. Down TO NAMES OF PEOPLE THAT. I've been following for years in one of them was you Johnson and the other one was Pat Flynn and Lo and behold six months later I not only crush my financial goal like working vision being totally directed specifically direction. I just like I crush vision. I not only cross with the financial I doubled it and I flew out to the US for social media marketing world. Remember just like going to meet up. I saw Beth leans Also flew over and then I I remember just getting up to his. Meet UP NY before the conference started and I'm seeing a long line and I'm calling people counting counting counting online. I'm seeing God. Pets Lynn Pat. Flynn on like this guy. I've been listening to in my ears for years and from the other side of the world is here to stay frigging room and then I notice another line and I'm like wait a second. What was the other line here? And I'm starting to track the line. I said line them. Oh My Frick. It's not own it's J. L. D. Two people that were on a piece of paper that I wrote six months ago are right now in the same frigging room with me. This can't be possible and like to like about a month later a month later after the conference like long story short. But you know we got to talk that night and talk to you and I talked to Pat and we all connected and The why they how is also something. If you want we can talk about. We don't have to go but But then I must later on finding myself working with you on your on your homepage. And being booked to be appeared on an Sti Pat Flynn and became an joined his mastermind and then the episode itself became one of the most popular episodes in two thousand eighteen. So it's like episode three Twenty Six And honestly I and it's like and now being here on your show man That keeps my way to give forward and to encourage and inspire any entrepreneur that has ever been a rough spot and feel maybe maybe is feeling lost or you know maybe starting her off but I think he's going to run direction. Hey you know. Get A frigging coach. That's one and and you know you think. Think think positive thoughts and and have a vision because divisions just very important and and for me. It's like a dream come true in a way just like being on the show and that goes along with investing in yourself is getting coach. Sagis invested himself with a coach but he also flew over to a conference. You know he also flew his coach over to Israel like he's done a lot of things to invest in himself by the way. Investing yourself not always money either. It's investing your time your energy your band with your expertise like sagis invested that on your fire dot com to make it the website that it is today and of course that was a huge investment himself because his time is valuable so all of that is a great story is super inspiring. I mean you are super worthy of being on entrepreneurs on fire because you truly are on fire for a lotteries as my friend. Give us the promise that you have four fire nation today for this episode. And they're going to dive into all of that Jess I've been a designer most of my life coming for most of my professional Coming from the start at world working with top companies first designers FIBER DOT com. "Winning documentary filmmaker author and the the book is testing the glow bees a tech investigation before we get back to the description of the of the did the domed flat disc if we cannot call it that what is the Tadic me Eric is still working you don't really use much these days with me is proceeding with in Korean investigation all right you're just asking questions and looking into things excellent okay so you were describing how this this this flat disc is kind of etched out of a square or a block perhaps of a block of frozen ice yeah and and then in yeah go ahead okay that's Joe thirty eight thirty the waters are hit as with a stone in the face of the deep is frozen in the circle of the earth was inscribed into the face of the deep so you know when we can we help we have got the heavens and the earth and the earth was without form and void and you know what Alison waters there we don't know how the water got there but water there's no mention water be created that's the key word about moves across the face of the deep and apparently it holds the deed and then he puts the firmament thing there are two separate waters a Buck waters below and he and scribes the earth into the face of the deep so this is not a good word because we think about this we think of like a CD rom or something kind of floating out there he he he got a big long something a circle card into something else right okay a circle rather than that that desk yeah with four corners the literature graphic location by the way the four corners people who wish you creationist reach you don't want to subscribe to when talking about here we'll say not all four corners of the cardinal points north southeast west okay then show me other than the military academy where's the west point where is the point where his corner where is the west corner angels are physically standing on the court in revelation seven what I saw the four angels standing on the four corners of the earth do you these are geographic locations that angels are standing the angels Michael Gabriel Rockdale on right and what is above what is above the firmament is at the throne room yes that's correct seven it has to be firm it has to be hard why because in supporting waters above and it's also where is don't yeah if you kill one twenty six above the firmament was over their heads was the likeness of the throne I say sixty six one talks what heaven is my throne and earth is my footstool in Amos nine six is a really interesting one it says he is it is the one who builds his upper chambers in the heavens and has founded his fault that don't work on the earth so now we see that this thing is attached to the earth sh seventy four creation he put the someone starts in the structure so I used to be of the mindset that people like a doctor can't hold them doctor call bought either creationists who teach about a chance the firm that was this can't be this round of your eyes teach them myself but the problem is if you go back and read the text says that someone is stars are in this can't be not outside and route in the canopy curry requires someone starts the outside of the earth it's just being a castellated inside this you know culture student doesn't work you can't have that but as well since what myself and read over it I can tell you how many times never saw those looking through a specific set a glass what's the ceiling rob what's what's the what's the height of the ceiling that from the circle to the top of the firmament yeah I don't believe anybody's gonna know that description actually talk about if you can measure that doctor's office or so I don't think that that's something that we will ever know I could speculate on it people who abuse like for instance a sextant to try to figure it trying to figure out the distance to the sun it'll come up in ninety three nine months they they come up with an object drop the thirty five miles across about three thousand miles high so if that's true he is the son of motor or bring up there somewhere around three thousand miles and presumably the top of the dome is gonna be well beyond that you know maybe ten thousand autumn I don't know your speculation but it's not so far because it says that god looks down he sees us as grasshoppers so and if you think of the phone at like a magnifying glass well yeah that's that's reasonable we take the scriptures and we say we believe the Bible we take it literally these are the only conclusion you can come to an end Michael this evening's not to prove that the earth is flat so the set that up before we go to all the lines of that's not my goal here my goal is to to prove beyond a reasonable doubt limited time we have the typical authors believed it looks and by extension if we believe the estrogen say that the Bible was written by men but inspired by the Holy Spirit then it also shows always now that's of the rest of right okay what does what I wrestled with for all of two thousand fifteen fifty I call myself a pathetic agnostic back then unlike it you know I still believe there's will but I can see what the Bible says the United there's this tension the deal with I I have to admit that the L. though those biblical passages are a compelling now I do I do want to address some of the you know the common arguments outside of the Bible because it we people listening for whom the Bible is not an authority and so that's you know that a logical fallacy arguing from authority they don't believe the Bible so let's talk about the moon you mention the moon and this old chestnut about of course the phases of the moon we have if you look at a lunar eclipse of course we see the earth orbit supposedly placing it directly between the sun and the moon it creates a shadow the shadow when the moon services round supposedly then that would prove would it not that the shadow is the earth's and that would be a clue as to its spherical shape that the shadow on the moon yeah that would be an assumption sh if you proceed with the assumption okay we say exactly as says okay in your school okay for fourth of your argument believe yeah but there are subtle okay for control except the nurses glow so then we look up when we see what a what looks like a a circular object beginning to obscure the moon well if you start the pre conceived notion of the earth is the globe then you're so practical it's your fault the shuttle problems all right we have to look at some of the social and the solution it is based on the idea that there's an online the tax collection that the sun you know get to a place where it let's say it's on the left side of the earth difficult and on the right side of the earth to the moon and you got the number and the pin number shadows and then gets for flying feet that's how that's what's what's happened here well I should ask the same question I mean look I mean you the quickest way to become a flatter tourists try to bunk first you need to do is realize yeah look we used to be able to come up with that we don't think about ourselves you know just a few years ago so I'm out there we have some pretty notable lunar eclipses recently in the last few years and there was one of the top of the parking garage with my office was in the sun went down behind me in the west and the moon popped up in the east probably about forty minutes or so after the sun went down at in within forty five to fifty minutes or so it's starting to go into a blood red lunar eclipse now if you imagine yourself standing such that the sun go down behind you in your head is there's not to confront if the sun going down behind you and your head is in the cast a shadow on the object before you what direction should the shuttle come in the top left right up the bombs at the front door and down the country she comes from what direction I sorry if this if the shadow is where if the sun going down behind your head right has been a cast a shadow on something in front of you what direction should the shuttle began to emerge from the box on the side black white or from the top from the bottom that's correct the shuttle should be coming up from the bottom I documented this myself in the morning there the first being the head in this example that I just gave the sun goes down you would think that shadow should come up from the bottom of the moon but it didn't it came from the eleven o'clock position now I'm going how does that work so the more how do you get a full blood red lunar eclipse when the sun is still up but the Russian there are even recent back in the case that there maybe trust you know historical back in the case but some fairly recently where you have a blood red lunar eclipse going completely into a cliff while the sun is still up so how does that work I don't know one of the interesting but right right nor do I thank you well but my state my point is we start with a preconceived idea circular thank airports your not we we look up this had a lot of things up there what if there's something else up there because that's the point we don't know much but my other thing as if the subject is for the sake of the earth why is it that the first thing everybody does it look up into the truck Hey we're here in this movie goal post you know if you wanna talk about you know felt right people want to argue and I would argue that the argument from authority policies and so is in fact the policy in and of itself because of what he deserves a vote is using your forty of mass of the government the military attack wrist it's ever using them at the report okay address then the this time zones the idea that we have if we if we so if the sun is like a spotlight shining down on us we wouldn't have time zones so if it is for for that the other thing it and ask you to comment on the coast to coast Facebook page people who work there was a look you know the whole work you never have light universe this this told me right back to them zero research because you jerk response was this one of these well do we will say because condemnation before investigation of the hiding of a bigger so many of us the people even think or have looked into it once you look into it I mentioned earlier people will try to use like a section for example to measure the they're trying to make the.

Jeremy Pruitt Compares Tennessee to 'Titanic' After 2 Players Leave Team

"The biggest story of the year to date in the SEC has been in Knoxville where Tennessee inexplicably has begun. Oh into Jeremy PRUITT. You heard a minute ago at his press conference but the biggest story in Knoxville today wasn't what he said at his press conference but what he said at the UH the Knoxville quarterback club John Adams joining US longtime columnist in Knoxville Knoxville John. Thank you for being here. Let's start with the the line at the the the quarterback club where he I'll let you fill in the blanks but he made some reference to the titanic good afternoon. Call I it should be in a coaching handbook somewhere where to a message to a struggling coach never bring up the titanic because we know how that story ended in Jeremy Pruitt with speaking to the quarterback club today. I wasn't there but he compared Tennessee to the titanic but he was relating it to a couple of players. quit the team last week. neither one was a prominent player they quit the team to loss to Georgia. Stay in. He compared that to the mice on the titanic running through the top of the ship which I think is a pretty good idea if I'm about I don't want to stay down there to bottom and drown at least get up to the top and maybe jump off if the boat and freeze to death but that seems like a better ending to me but I it just shows a lack of savviness so I think you just don't want to bring up the titanic padding because when people think about that Tadic they don't think about my think about an iceberg and people dying so I thought it was really odd. I I always thought they were rats too. But what do I know the difference between mice and Rafael you say my or I say my. Can you say rat so yeah okay. I thought it was too. That's it's getting a little too. Maybe maybe Jeremy say such a student of literature he was thinking about Steinbeck and of mice and then Maybe ending either by the way because of my thing coach okay. Let's get to the real the real crux of the issue John. I didn't think you would be in the situation where you're writing columns that people are studying examining trying to figure out where we're this program is and and she is a change imminent. I ask you I mean how bad is it. Where does this program go from here well. I I mean I think this is the worst right and there's been a lot of bad times he'd go back to two thousand and eight when Tennessee lost to Wyoming in a foreign aid. UCLA team and that's he's Got Phillip. Fulmer fired his coach but but to me despite what is what all is gone on coaches haven't lost two Sun Belt Conference team Georgia's state. It's a program that's ten years old and it's picked to finish near the bottom or at the bottom some of the sun belt. East so then the follow up that with a shocking loss the nature of the Paladin folded there the end to at best a mediocre a yoke. Byu Team MANHANDLE IN THE SECOND QUARTER GETS IN THE SECOND HALF AGAINST UTAH so no. I think you're at the bottom and I think it's fans. You can't help but look ahead and you wonder how can finish C. D. C. Gay okay you expect it to be Chattanooga this week an FCS program but beyond that you start looking at thank who'll Tennessee beat and what happens if Tennessee is one in six and I think that's a a reasonable projection at this point in Tennessee is one in six. How many people are showing up for these Games aims. I just think it would be a really bad look and it would be the critical stage program with day and it starts this week. noon game against Chattanooga. I I haven't

"How would you like to make your life simpler in retirement and how to declutter and simplify your retirement accounts you know some people think simplifying their investment plan reduces their diversification and increases the risk and that's exactly not true simplifying your retirement accounts can actually save you time money confusion and allow you to keep better tadic yeah on your money we can help you just cost today four ten to six six eleven twenty that's four ten to six six eleven twenty or on the web at safe retirement solutions dot com you know one really great way of simplifying your retirement finances is by rounding up all your i._r._a.'s and your 4._0._1._k.'s into just maybe one or two accounts and that can really simplify your financial aid think about this by h fifty the average baby boomers had held an average believe it or not twelve different different jobs and that's according to the bureau of labor statistics in many cases they've had several company retirement plans i._r._a.'s for one ks old employers as well you know it really can add up by combining these accounts you will be able to save yourself some time and money and make your life a lot more stress stress for you know for example if you've got let's say three i._r._a.'s too old four one ks a simple i._r._a. old four three be the seven different accounts can actually be transferred into one i._r._a. there are several reasons why you may really want to do that you know when you buy or sell an investment transaction fee is often chari if you consolidate your couch you will have fewer toodle buys and sells which could significantly reduce fees and boost your net return for example if you wanted to purchase twelve different investments for diversification by consolidating you could just buy those.

"What is Todd. Well, then we have to start from the bottom. Tadic quite literally means bottom of the pot being bottom the being pot. And it's probably the most coveted part of a Persian rice dish. It's the crispy buttery saffron infused rice at the very bottom of the pot. It's typically made with rice, but it can be made with bread potatoes. I have a fish Tadic in my book, which is crispy fish at the bottom of hot. But typically, it's it's that crispy rice, which is delicious. So not every time someone talks me about Persian food. I feel like it's just a matter of seconds until they bring up Todd and then say the best part. So it's really a thing. Like, you know, we had the bottom of the pot rice in Chinese culture that I grew up in is thing by you know, the the the sokaia is a thing. I feel like Taty is really like an extra thing. It's an extra extra extra thing. It's you know, I think. Persians we like to thank. And I think correctly that we have elevated rice making to an art form, and I say that in all seriousness in that we really take our rice cooking seriously. Races the Maine grain at the Persian table. And it's this two step process method. I you start with a rice itself you want it to be a long grain fragrant mardi style race. We can't get mom Iranian race imported here in the states at the moment. But as buzz mighty rights works just as well and in this two step methods. So you first parboil the rice and plenty of salted water, and then you drain it as you kinda might making pasta. So you wanna drain it when it's out Dante's. So you want it to be soft on the outside, but still with a bite to it. And then once you drain it you put enough oil or a combination of oil and butter. I'd like to use oil and butter at the bottom of the pot. And you you start your teddy glare, which is that crispy rice at the bottom of the pot. And then you start the steaming method, which is the second step in preparing the rice. So as you're Chris being up the bottom layer. You're also steaming and cooking through the top layer now when to drain the rice how long to steam it for those. That's where the art comes in and you can develop this intuitively over time and trial and error. Francis. No one turns out a perfect Tadic every single time. And if they say, they do they're not being honest. But even even if it burns, and I liked I mean, I would think that Tadic was invented by accident. I think most surely was sure this crispy rice probably was in most cultures. You know, at some point someone burnt the bottom of the pot realize, it tastes, really good. So and then a developed into this art form by yes. For Iranians for Persians it there's nothing else like it. And it's the first thing that goes at the table, and there's a fight over it. You have this really beautiful line in your book where you talk about flipping the pot and hoping that the rice came out. Well, Taty was properly made. You say flipping is always a moment of hope. As a reader as a writer myself and also as an editor of cookbooks like your book is so incredibly gorgeous. And so incredibly beautifully written that a lot of adverbs. No one's going to trust my taste in literature. Too. Many averages now, but it's really really lovely. And there's a beautiful story in the book about cooking rice, would you mind reading it for us, not at all? It'd be my pleasure. And thank you for all those adverbs. This is from the rice chapter, and it's called jewels. Los Angeles, twenty.

That's okay. That is one of the students. Her name is on Nanya Tadic Kanda, and she is very much in favor of having three days off this year excused absence from gummy school, so that she could civically engage. I'm a firm believer that it's all about ranking. I mean, if we're accounting that puts forward this policy, and we set an example for those around us that civic engagement is so crucial to the development of a complete human being. I think that's way more than one or two in school. That's by the way, she MS Todd Kanda. She is the student member of the board of education.
