While the state will lose millions of dollars in toll money With so many of us staying home to protect ourselves from Cove, it comes Ryan Harris says that spells trouble for more than the budget states told revenue is expected to be down by about 45% from last year, with traffic volumes down by more than half on the 5 20 Bridge, the highway 99 tunnel and the four or five toll lanes. The state will absolutely prioritize the payments of bonds and loans used to build the tunnel and bridges, says Deputy State Treasurer Jason Richter, who tells me they would never jeopardize the state's credit rating nor its ability to float a school or other bond. And we need to use motor vehicle account funds to pay the 99 or the Tacoma Narrows Bridge debt service that's going to come at the detriment of some other project. That means planned expansions of four or five or highway 167 would have to wait to avoid debt default. The State Transportation Commission will consider toll increases but that also runs the risk of pushing more people to avoid the higher tolls..

"We are proud to give you the Seattle cracking. I'm Heidi Devil. And I'm, the vice president of marketing for the Seattle crackin. It's now my honor to take you through the inspiration for this new and exciting brand. Seattle is a city built by the sea. In our PJ's sound is notorious for its deep waters. As a child growing up here. I was always really proud of that. My grandmother from Ballard and my grandfather from Linden would entertain my siblings and cousins and I with tales of sea voyages and beasts in the deep As I got older, I learned that the largest octopus on planet Earth lives right here in our waters. about galloping Gertie and the legend of the King Octopus under Tacoma Narrows Bridge. And I can't help but think that these magnificent and highly intelligent creatures could only be descended from one thing. See the truth is hockey's always been here, sleeping giant ready to be awoken. And this city deserves a hockey club untamed as the sea herself. And when we heard the rallying cry ing of the fans and we heard the undeniable passion they had for this name. We knew it was the one We are the Seattle crackin. Our logo was built in close partnership with Adidas. To honor Our city. Our beast. And the incredible game of hockey. Wearing the shape of the s, like our champion predecessors. Seattle metropolitans. Our team will take the ice and play each in every game like it's the Stanley Cup final. Like our city. Our logo is carved from the sea. Two shades of blue converged to form a bevel ing that honors our maritime history. Stealthy tentacle and a fierce eyes symbolise the mighty crackin and the tenacity. Our players will bring toe every moment on the ice. Perhaps the most intriguing part is what you don't see. This is a brand that will grow with it city the crack in the mysterious beast and will continue to reveal itself over time. There you have it. The Seattle crackin, which apparently the team had not or the NHL. Seattle officials did not care for it first has actually been named. The team name. They've got a logo that is an SM will soon find out what the uniforms look like. Of course, we'll have to wait for you to get those on visuals. But it's an exciting day. exactly right you gotta know what you're doing you have to understand how to progress health progress all right Tracy Jefferson general Kelly Tracy Walker health talk how are you I'm good how are you I'm great thanks for joining us again I mean previously you came on you talked about the months right yes Sir does fun wasn't it it sure why is what we have for today because we're gonna talk about healthy weight loss and I kinda want to set it up on the phone to talk a little bit about your practice and your keen interest in weight loss but also just to kind of can talk about what's going on out there of people been out new year's resolution hopefully sticking with that and a lot of people wanna lose weight so the timing is pretty good we're gonna increase those people don't give up right I think that that's my hope tell us about your practice our listeners about what you do every day yeah I work with sound family medicine down the Puyallup area and we're private practice that's been serving that community for over thirty years I'm really passionate about taking care of the whole person all the way from prenatal care through kiddos to adolescents and on up into retirement and so this is going to be great because this is a subject that touches all of those aspects it really does it really does weight loss or obesity is a real problem United States I mean we talked about it a lot in this program I mean partly it's people's time or lack of time to dedicate to it it's the lack of access to good nutrition it's a lack of time to prepare meals it's hard and there's so much out there tell us about your passion your personal interest in weight loss well just as they are a little bit about my personal interest in weight loss I lost a hundred pounds now myself well how diet and exercise and then help with my medical professionals along the way kind of navigating that path because you're absolutely right there is so much information out there and it's confusing to sort through and let's face it there's a lot of us that weren't taught how to eat properly I mean I remember when the microwave first came home dialysis when I was a kid and I also remember blowing it up with the metal pot that I didn't know I shouldn't use that as a single mom of five kids it was what was convenient right instead of what was healthy right and no fault of her own but I didn't learn how to eat right no you're exactly you're exactly right I mean our our busy schedules our lack of opportunity you don't really the American family does not sit down any any any time my most people don't sit down in the evening to have a male I mean I'm with you I came from a background where my mom got in the morning that was her job and she loved it and she planned the mill and start in the morning that night we sat down home cooked meal nothing was processed the world has changed a lot in fifty seven years right it sure has tell us how you can get on track like I said sorting through all that information is really difficult and we spend as a nation we spend more than a trillion dollars a year on weight loss efforts and supplements and I think one of the challenges is that we've got this mindset that it's calories in calories out but weight loss is so much more there's hormones there's genetics there's behavioral there's cultural or social and economic issues that come into play and less if you partner with somebody who's willing to work with you and unless if you address all of those aspects of your weight loss journey it's gonna be much harder yeah let's let's we break those down a little bit let's guess is maybe pick for five of those topics because you talked about socioeconomic she talked about you know medical conditions that may be because certain of our limit you from about to lose weight or maybe because you to gain weight hormones you know gender your age although says current break that down a little bit sure in the reason I want to do this I mean just because I want people understand there's no I think Americans and a lot of people clean myself we're always looking for the magic pill or magic with quick and easy right and there's nothing quick and easy this is a lifestyle change it absolutely is and one of the things that I want to say is that when we talk about weight loss people don't have to imagine a hundred pound weight loss journey it starts with just making one healthy choice at a time and that's how you create that sustainable change so for example when we think about weight loss and hormones those change over time they're affected by stress by sleep and today Dr hunger sensations they make it harder to feel full with a healthy portion and they change how we metabolize our food when I talk to patients I often use an analogy about the zombie apocalypse.
