"That's the thing. Here's another thing. About to have three guys that I have seen in the past really really take it to LeBron. It's Jimmy Butler Jake and the Goat Andre Iguodala. And I think equal dollar who's seen LeBron several times. Yep is ready for the task Jae Crowder. And then of course Jimmy Butler with the surprising guard Trio of Duncan Robinson going tragic and Tyler hero. I really think they hopefully they have another big to bring I know they have Solomon Hill. I'm hoping that they have another forward to bring in to kind of match up and get some rebounds but I got bam too. Well, yeah, but I'm a one-man. I mean you got the white you got freaking Anthony Davis you got freaking Tyrell McGee. So I mean, I'm hoping that they have at least one more forward or senator. They can just bring in from out of nowhere Life Style and really helped him but Them guys are going to give LeBron a fit. So yeah, this is where the role-players the Lakers are really going to have step up and make some shots because they're going to be all over LeBron LeBron. That's why he was sitting on the floor while confetti was falling cuz he's he knows by the b in a war a war like Eric's post show, which is another thing I want to talk about thank are explosive or to bring he's going to say, I know LeBron I know him and he's going to be I mean this former video coordinator job. I love these the storyline selling that just suddenly popping up about all these players on the heat. But I gotta build up the story. I mean, I don't blame him for that. I mean I blame media for that. The problem is mmm, you know, I like I would like it if the energy was disabled around like as the progressive Lakers no, no, no, no. No, I'm the opposite but we won't get into that. But as you were saying about Eric and they're not they're doing it for the heat though. That's why I don't get what you're saying now, but once again besides the point, we're not going to get into that. That's TMZ type local stuff. It's okay. They're doing it for the heat. It's all right. I'm not going to say anything about it anymore. Let's continue on. Wow, these don't did you see him rob you of his thoughts? Well, obviously going to have to pay for that. I'm joking folks. I'm joking. Wow. He moved on to Cincinnati on you guys. We're moving on the Cincinnati systematic way to do it. Yeah, I think the heat will give them trouble. But ultimately I mean he's the best player in the world. I don't know. I don't know. So is that a prediction doc? I don't have any predictions. Doc like yeah, I don't know. I don't I mean the Lakers show dominance. They only lost three games throughout this whole thing Miami loss..

A Closer Look at Sundar Pichai: From Middle Class Indian Upbringing to Google's Head Honcho

"Google and its parent company alphabet on the precipice of several major challenges regulators are expected to file antitrust lawsuits as early as this month and other example some faith company isn't as innovative as it used to be. A CEO of alphabet sooner Pechanga will play a key role in how the company navigates the headwinds, and while Pichai, is not nearly as in the spotlight as the other tech leaders. He's already had a long history Google, and by taking a look back, we can try and get some clues about how he might move the company forward a reporter Copeland joins us with an inside look rob. Thanks for joining me. Thank you. So, at the tech hearing before the House antitrust subcommittee earlier, this year Pichai himself as an immigrant sort of the picture of the American dream. And wonder if you could start by telling us more about the Chinese upbringing shore so Definitely outlier in many ways in Silicon Valley perhaps the most famous way that he stands out is that he was born in. India. So he grew up middle-class for India but not necessarily add western standards. He famously talks about growing up and getting in his first. Rotary phone. He is in such an older guy that the technology was just a lot less developed there. So he speaks frequently about the connection that he feels to technology and the knowledge that new technology can really change someone's life. So pettah eventually came to the US for Grad School. How do you find his Google? He worked relatively ordinary corp jobs until he joined Google right after its IPO google was not the Google that it is today it really was just a search engine. Quickly impresses people for his ability to one build consensus, which is true to this day, but also get the job done his first major job at Google. toolbar product. So before there was chrome there actually was an add on on your browser to search google. So his job was to convince companies like Dell when they sold you a laptop to have an automatic google search bar on there. So he's moved through the ranks since then becoming CEO of Google and then last year taking over as alphabet. CEO How did he make his way up the ladder? What's so remarkable is he's been at Google for sixteen years and we even though we're the Wall Street Journal have never done a full profile of him. So a big part of my task for the last few months was really unpacking who he is and how he got to this position and what really emerges is that Google was a place and still is a place with big personalities people who scream at each other people who say we should bet the farm on this or that and what sooner sort of did. was stay in the background, but he was also very careful that whatever he did it worked starting with toolbar but that extends to chrome the browser which he co lead and is now by far the most used web browser one of the big reveals of this reporting for me was that he's a very strategic person. It's not an accident that he stayed in the background for instance, someone who used to report to him. Told me early on in a meeting with with Larry? Page. who was CEO of Google before soon Dr Sooner made sure that they never disagreed in front of Larry. He really didn't want anyone to see any cracks and this also emerges in a lot of the people I spoke to some of whom sooner himself suggested that I speak to. But then when I got on the phone with them, they didn't seem to know him personally well. So he he keeps it very close to the vest. So it sounds like he's pretty deft at navigating the company politics now that he's in the top spot. What's he known for as a leader? So to a man to a woman ever and I spoke to said that sooner has a tendency in the middle of meetings to stand up and begin pacing in the middle of your presentation. He won't say anything necessarily sign that he likes or doesn't like it. It's just signed that he's thinking. So you can imagine people have spent weeks preparing for the CEO and he leaps up in the middle just starts pacing it can be quite disarming frankly this comes back to the criticism. Of Soon Dr to standing up in the middle of meeting and pacing as you think is not necessarily your traditional hey drive the car forward leadership. There's a big knock at Google today it's that and this comes from investors analysts even some executives of the company it's that the company is pretty much operating on autopilot. It makes almost all of its money from online advertising and you don't really have to do much besides sit there and the money comes in adding an extra add to youtube isn't exactly a high level. Decision. So the criticism is that sooner hasn't necessarily made the big move to position Google for the next decade on the other hand. When you have such a head start that Google has just not messing up is a billion dollar proposition. And what about as a coworker? What's he known for that? The best thing that's has going for him is that people genuinely like him in fact, one of his deputies Caesar. Gupta told me he loved sooner Pichai. He said the reason I stayed at Google this long as because of Dr He's someone that I trust. He moved to Jakarta because soon are asked him to. People. Say in this world where everyone is obsessed with Silicon Valley with what is happening in Menlo Park and Palo Alto and San Francisco that soon Dr a truly global outlook that he cares for instance, about Google pay in India where there are many multiples number of people using payment products in there are in the US. But tacitus surly had as much investment and one of the really fun things that is in the story is he's very much a creature of habit. You can imagine your CEO of of Alphabet you're traveling the world whenever he's in Korea he goes to the same burrito place an orders, the same Veggie Burrito. And in this world of he's hard-driving CEOS who appear in TMZ or go through high profile divorces. Everyone says that sooner Chai's legitimately just a kind nice guy.

Um Because this is really getting out of control tonight. I have to get out of the situation of men. Um, and it sucks that I'm kind of being used as a publicity stunt. The PR son. It actually sucks. That's like and I don't even know what to say. Right now. I'm just kind of just in shock. I'm kind of just like And I can't even cry anymore because I'm so numb like two crying like I just can't But please don't believe anything that you see, especially like my parents saying that they're doing it for the family. They're not like they're not at all. I'm literally giving you the tea. I'm giving you all the realist. They didn't say anything about this. Um they literally just tweeted about it. Um, my dad doesn't care about me and Eric. He's never cared about me. Um, he probably doesn't even know my middle name. Which is really sad, but it's true. You know, he never really cared about me my whole life he always belittle when I was younger. My dad physically abused me a lot. Um Right here in this very room and My mom is standing with my mom. Kim Kardashian focusing on family as marriage with Kanye West crumbles to pieces

"Kim Kardashian and Kanye West trying to save their relationship, And the headline from TMZ today is that it's a massive uphill battle. Do you know what I started watching last night that I had never watched is the people versus O. J. Simpson. And so I bring this up? Because, of course, Robert Kardashian was one of O. J. Simpson's lawyers and one of his best friends. And so we talked about that show for so long, And then I never watched it. And now I just was scrolling through Netflix and thought, What are things that I've wanted to watch the heaven and that was it. Yeah. Small world, starting with number one. And you like, Yeah. I mean, it's like a little campy. It's like yeah, a little bit campy, but it's Ryan Murphy. And so I'm but it's interesting. And then I found myself Googling all these things and Of course, in the first episode, you know, I'm not giving anything away here. But O J, um, threatens to kill himself in Kim Kardashians bedroom, her childhood. Her bedroom did not know the Kardashians house. And so Robert is like, Stop it. You know, this is my This is Kimmy's bedroom. And so I was thinking, you know, because, of course, the Kardashians were so close with them. So fast forward to today, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West trying to navigate this rough patch in their relationships, So they apparently decided to jump on a jet on Sunday and take a private family vacation to try to work things out. This is something they talked about when she went to Wyoming last weekend. They haven't seen each other much at all for months because he was at the ranch and Kim's been taking care of the kids. And Kanye, of course, said during his South Carolina rally that he asked him for a divorce last year. He raised the subject of divorce several times at the event. A few lies definitely been discussed is what time's, he says. I feel like this relationship was over, probably a long time ago. And now it's just a matter of figuring out how they do the dance to separate, although it's not going to be easy because of the kids and everything else, But Elizabeth, you had some insight, I think I don't know, probably like two weeks ago that she that is Kim Kardashian is really trying to sort of play her cards correctly. In this moment. I think that it's that a lot of these stories that are coming out are setting the stage for her to look like the good guy. For her to look like she did absolutely everything that she could to try to save the relationship and then show Be done because it's just too much, But she doesn't want to look like Oh, he was, you know, not healthy, and so she bailed when he was in his time of need, But it's more of like It's she's. She's trying to do everything and he just it's not happening. Like I tried. I did my best. But, you know, I checked all the boxes. Yeah, Yeah. I never even thought about that until you said it. I was just thinking, Wow. She's just really Trying to make this work, but

Harry & Meghan Called Whiny Brats

"Hey guys happy Monday and welcome to daily pop. I mean a- Parker joined by so my favorite. Silvester Aunt Victor Cruz A. You know we are going to go in this morning. Because someone is calling, Harry and Meghan tone death, whiny Brat S-. That person of course is Pierce Morgan who else pierce like the rest of US got a first look at the new book about the royals called finding freedom. It's a very personal and intimate look at their lives, and in today's Daily Mail Pierces the book. Confirms Up There Rawls, most that they are the world's most tone-deaf, hypocritical, narcissistic, deluded whiny Brat long to say. Do you guys agree with his assessment? Not even close not even close when you look at Harry and Meghan. You have to understand this okay. The royal family didn't work I. Think I think Harry First of all was just. He's a person that likes to spread his wings. He likes to do what he wants to do. And it just so happens that he found a partner that is rotten with him and wants to do the things he wants to do so look. They separated from the Royal Family I. Get it, but they still got to bring in the coin. So of course they're going to drop a book. Of course, it's going to be things about their their intimate parts of their life. That's going to be in the book. It has to sell copies, but do I think they're whining brats, because they're kind of letting people in into their loz little bit absolutely not coming from someone who has a New York Times bestselling book myself. You can go pick it up at Barnes and noble. You can. This is what you have to do to. You gotta give people a little bit of something personal so that they can go in and buy your book. That's what this is all about well I. I brought I bought. Cruise Control Victor and there was nothing personal in it, okay? We'll let me just. A REP from hearing. Megan told us that they did not contribute to the book. So this is not fair book. This is an author that claims that they spoke to over one hundred sources, which is how they got such personal information, so the book is about them, but they didn't write it. The sources gave them all the information from today's Arthur. First of all. Nina, you know as well as I. Know working in this business. We know that every celebrity has a few henchmen. You know my name on it I. Don't want to get my hands dirty, but wouldn't it be crazy if you're over? At TMZ found out about this personal detail. Look the thing is I do ride for Megan Harry? Understand everything that's going on with them, and I feel bad for them. However, the one thing that was missing in this book was them taking accountability for at least one thing. That's the only problem I have with. This I could see where they felt like they were trapped. I could see where they felt like they had been turned against, but they're just not taking accountability for anything at all. It's not their book. It's not their book. How do they take accountability for something? They didn't right. Come on, come on. Kirk five written. Book. Does like her five germ ability. If you decide to write something about my life, I don't have to take accountability for anything. It's not my book. You wrote it. But it's there. It's still going to come out and it's still going to be things in there that are probably true and depending on what those are. They should probably own up to a couple of those, and it's not anything wrong or anything bad about them. They're living their own lives right now. They're doing what they wanted to drink, so I wouldn't mind owning up to one. Maybe two of those things that are being said is. Is a lot because they don't want to go. This traditional route and I also think that there is a huge disconnect with how it relates to a lot of this because she's American because she's a celebrity from America and she had a different way of life, and also because she's a black woman, and I feel like there's been a lot of insensitivity to hurt that regard for how she's been treated in the press the way. Way that she's been treated compared to everybody else has been completely different because they didn't have to deal with a lot of the same type of headlines that she did. She felt very triggered by the way that she was treated by a lot of the press in Britain, because of the fact that a lot of it was race baiting a lot of it was. You know saying things that were really offensive to her, so of course. Course she's very defensive when she's dealing with that. And then also the fact that she was very popular coming over there, and so they were saying that she was kind of taking over for him, because she she was more popular than K., and that's to be expected so a lot of it, not that it's not her fault, but it's like look if my light is shining bright and this overshadowing. You said you'll came up, don't. Know Tena. Not that Nina I totally get it at the same time. If you're walking into institution that's been built for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years. Sometimes, you gotta learn the ropes before you start stepping out before you get crazy now. Not saying what she did was wrong I just would have played my game a little bit slower. I would follow. Call before jumping ship and surprising and enrolling up on the que-, being like hey, all we hear from Canada. Talked about Leonardo's. Popularity grew like that. It's not her fault that the attention came to her the way it did when she got there. It wasn't her fault, and it's not that she linked up with Harry who was riding with her, and it was like you know what we're doing this on our own less rocker

"And you know those things getting sold or falling into the wrong hands are the greatest threats maybe to our national security period. We'll secondary pandemic actually but one you that nuclear piece for a second like. What kind of contingency planning do you think is happening at the Pentagon right now or in Beijing for what to do if this government falls if those nukes go into the wrong hands like if things break that? It's a good question because I think there's different scenarios right there's a scenario where the sister emerges as a scenario where we said last week. It's kind of a misogynist patriarchal society so maybe a general merges instead of the sister. Maybe somebody puts himself forward is kind of a regent for this ten year. Old Kid I mean but there is a scenario where kind of collapses like a house of cards. I don't think that's the most likely scenario because the elite in that country are pretty invested in the current power structure. But I think the nightmare scenario as horrible as dictatorship obviously isn't as much as you'd like to see that change if the places collapses and you have all these nuclear weapons that is the type of scenario that was sometimes discussed in the situation room as a contingency that we had to be worried about and frankly a contingency that we should probably talk to China about and when it comes to the nuclear weapons I I. Frankly don't think the United States even knows where all those nuclear weapons are you know. I don't think we have a clear sense of the entirety this nuclear program. That's part of the reason why it was so strange. To trump. Didn't press more for inspections or an access to these sites or even just the understanding of of what the breadth of the North Korean. Nuclear Program is a member. He had nothing from these negotiations other than this person relationship with community and I think that the Chinese probably have more specific contingency plans perhaps than even we do given that this is right on their border. There could be massive flows of refugees into China from North Korea and they probably have better context obviously in the North Korean military. So I do think there probably plans on the shelf in both Washington and Beijing. I think the Chinese frankly. If there's a complete state collapse would be more positioned to do something given their kind of military lines with North Korea their history and proximity man. That inventory point is a really good one because an inventory of their nuclear arsenal was supposed to be like the first thing you got in a negotiation and trump didn't Janaci that so I was thinking to myself. I wonder if they're sitting in the Pentagon with like forty contingency plans for navy seals to go to different parts of the country to like take those things by force in pray to God that they don't run into Beijing's version of the navy seal but maybe that's not even possible it. Yeah I mean I'm sure look. This is not getting anything sensitive. I'm sure that the US Forces Korea our military command in South Korea with the South. Koreans has versions of contingency plans. I do think it's not like Iran. Right where we really know okay. They've got this one nuclear facility called Natanz got this other nuclear facility called Gome if hypothetically those were more advanced in the are not because the Iran nuclear deal set them back but if they were and the regime. Collapses you'd be watching those two sites very carefully in North Korea I think it may be the infrastructure of their missile and nuclear program is likely more spread out and we don't know all of it and that's what you'd look for in some collapse and frankly if there's a a real kind of civil war or least elite kind of competition are people trying to take control of nuclear weapons as a part of that competition so there. There are a lot of scenarios in the worst ones for the short term. At least are ones where these weapons are falling out of any kind of command and control. Yeah that is the the Hor- Stereo? It is notable though that you know they have dozens of nukes and North Korea and trump is just wishing them well and hoping for the best and they continue to hammer away on Iran. Who doesn't it nuclear weapons so talk about Iran for a bet? There's a couple of stories in the news worth getting into so Iran last week. Put into orbit what it calls a military satellite arms control experts. You Know Watch these quote unquote. Satellite launches carefully be as many believed that they're just ways of testing intercontinental. Ballistic Missile Technology. And if you think about it write the goal. In both cases you shoot a payload of some sort into orbit whether it's a satellite that then orbits the earth or a warhead that comes back down target. It's very similar technology. Iran used a mobile missile launcher. In this case which is a significant technological advancement. That caught people. By surprise this is by no means. Iran's first attempt at a launch longtime pods as world listeners. Probably remember the time last summer. With trump tweeted out a classified image of a of a photo of failed space launch like from his seemingly in an effort to brag about or take credit for its failure. So that was cool. Iran's missile program is concerned that the US for a very long time and there have been many news reports over the years about ways you know the US or the Israelis or some international effort has tried to sabotage them with faulty parts and all these sorts of things. Mike pompeo called the launch deeply troubling. He said that technology could be used in nuclear weapons delivery systems the US Face Space Force Commander General. Raymond called the satellite quote tumbling Webcam in space unlikely providing Intel which I thought was pretty funny two hours after the launch trump. Ben tweeted that he instructed the US Navy to shoot down that's in quotes and destroy any an all Iranian gunboats if they harass our ships at sea so this is a response to another years problem of these little Iranian ships harassing US naval vessels in the Persian Gulf. So I've taken literally as an order. That tweet would significantly loosen the rules of engagement That normally determine how a navy ship can take legal action. He also seems to think that boats can fly which is a bigger problem. But you know Ben. Just like stepping back about these. Like how significant do you think this military satellite launch is and if these are are not new rules of engagement for navy ships like can you describe to folks why the harassment from these ships or the flashpoint in these areas? Seen as such a area of tension. Well the good news is there might not be a war because Iran to my knowledge is not developed a flying ship. So there's nothing Tanner Guy who look like. They have a ballistic missile program. I mean part of what this demonstrates is that sanctions are not stopping their ballistic missile program. I mean there. There's this kind of wishful thinking that informs the entire trump strategy of sanctions upon sanctions. The sanctions will somehow bring them to their knees and the reality is the reigning government has always found money no matter how many sanctions are under to make sure that they're still investing in their missile program and their nuclear program. And that's why you want a nuclear deal in place to roll back the nuclear program so that there's not a word that they can put on that missile and you also frankly would have wanted to follow on the Iran nuclear deal with further negotiations about the missile program and so what what Emmanuel Macron the French president for instance had been proposing around the time that trump pulled out of the Iran deal. Is You take the Iran deal as a foundation and then you negotiate another deal. That addresses the book. Missile Program and ultimately that form of negotiation is the only way you're going to deal with this and instead we're in this endless cycle of provocation where everything trump does invites in Iranian response. And so you get missile launches like this you get resumption of nuclear activity and all the rest of it. What was also evident in that tweet? That came after a Fox and friends segment. Come on really. Yeah about this launch. And so the Internet's lose. Did a pretty good job of reconstructing the timeline of trump kind of acting on a recommendation from Fox that you attack the Iranian navy. The John Bolton by the way has also been putting forward I mean look. The reality. Is that the Iranians. Have these kind of small ships. It kind of harass. We've seen them harass tankers. We've seen them come too close to US naval vessels at times. And there's this kind of fantasy on the far right in this country. You know that basically we can just sync all the ships and sends a message to Iran. Again I I think that like everything else that's happened between the United States and Iran loss. Two years like where we take that action sinking running ships. You know you'd inevitably see Ronnie Esscalation and then we'd be right back where we were in January on the brink of real war here and so put it. This way makes no sense to respond to an Iranian ballistic missile test potentially by just singing some ships by killing the Iranians presumably who were on those ships. It's just another sign that this is not a strategy of trump's this is just like a series of actions at the make him some feel good and and meet his political tests of showing. How when a tough guy is but all the Iranian behavior is getting worse across the board measured against what the objectives are. Yeah so another. Like pretty interesting Iran story I saw was according to the New York Times. Mike pompeo is preparing a legal argument. That says the US is still part of the JCP away the Iran nuclear deal and that might make you think Oh Great. They saw the error of their ways. They're going to return to sensible constructive diplomacy instead of assassinating Qassams lamantia. Whatever sadly no here apparently is the play. Pompeo's trying to run so there's an embargo on selling conventional arms to Iran. That was part of the Iran. Deal this ban on. Small arms is set to expire in October so pompeo apparently wants to put forward a UN Security Council resolution that would extend that conventional weapons ban indefinitely. So friend of the POD. Wendy Sherman is in your time spy's quoted explaining why she doesn't think this will fly. She said at the time when they passed this provisioned. The Russians didn't WANNA conventional arms embargo to begin with and they only greet one with sunset provision. So here's where this reentering. The Iran deal piece comes back in so the strategy I guess is for the US to put forward this resolution. You extend the arms embargo and when the Russians veto at the US will say well. We're still a party to the JCP away. And we're going to invoke the so called snapback provisions and put in place these broad-based UN sanctions on Iran. That were there in place. Thanks to Obama before the Iran deal was passed and went into effect and this is understandably. I think confusing to the Iranians because they point out how vocal trump and pump. Aol been that. They have pulled out of the Iran deal But Ben I mean you know this deal inside and out. How important is this arms embargo that they're fighting over? And like how do you think? Allies in Europe or the Russians or the Chinese will respond to an effort to put in place these broad based sanctions from pre 2015. Unfortunate LISTENERS. At home can't see me violating the face touching rules to disrupt my temples in complete exasperation where to start so first of all we did insert and frankly it was kind of a coup of the negotiating team this provision that if there was one of the members of the P five plus one the permanent members of the UN Security Council who negotiated the deal kind of determine that Iran was in violation. That there could be a snack back. Snapback reimposition of the UN sanctions on Iran however the United States formerly withdrew from the JCP way gave formal notification to the party's Iran that they were leaving the JCP and so the idea that we have any kind of credible leg to stand on to utilize the provision of JCP way to make other countries reimpose multilateral sanctions is completely laughable. It's complete and utter bullshit and nobody is going to go along with it. You know nobody's GonNa join us in suggesting that the US can reimpose multilateral sanctions on its own when it's not even a party to the JC. I think another point here. Is that the arms embargo. Leaky does not begin to describe it. Russia doesn't even acknowledge that it exists. It's not it's not like Iran hasn't been able to purchase convention any conventional weapons because of this arms embargo China's and Russia's of the world find ways to have their relationships with the Iranian military. Never mind near the North Korea's of the world here so yeah it's been a useful tool I guess in constraining. The number of places that Iran could can purchaser things. You know but but I woke once again. This is like the theology of the Iran opponents in the US who are constantly just looking for some other sanctioned to throw it the Iranians as if that's going to make any difference you know. I mean thing of contradiction implicit in Pompeii doing not just wanting to use. Jcp Way when you've been out of it. What about the contradiction that we're constantly being told how scary Ron is? How powerful Iran is how they're on the brink of taking over the whole Middle East and not all world but this arms embargoes really working. You know it's really squeezing them. I mean this is not point here guys and the things that Iran does are troubling. Its Nuclear Program. Missile Program is done around any arms embargo anyway and so even if they were successful at snapping back these sanctions then we'd have to enforce them. Are we going to enforce sanctions on like a French bank that does business with Iran or like a German company that buys oil because that's the extent of the sanctions right? It would be like broad-based energy sector stuff. Yeah some of. That's already kind of frozen. You know it's a lot of the activity from the West right is already been frozen just because the US is imposing sanctions. But if you were going to go around the world and start enforcing this in you would also be. How are you going to stop like a potential Russian shipment of arms? Like how far are we willing to go to physically enforce this and again I think this is just pompeo picking yet another fight about yet another aspect of Iran policy that the the you know hypothetically if they extended the arms embargo what would be materially different anyway from how things are now. You know not lunch other than the US you know going around the world and having yet another thing that can bother other countries. Do it weird okay. Well we'll keep watching that one. Yeah let's talk about Brazil Because there's some bad news air for trump's you know one of his favorite authoritarian leaders your Boston Brazil. So the Brazilian Supreme.

"Of you TMZ eleven forty four on this Tuesday winding down my show before we headed back to Jeff why that was been off for a few days show hotels about his travels Martin more joining me in studio we're talking about the sports versus traditional sports in any sometimes the the brake conversations are what we really get into it man I forget what we said so one of the things I mention is the conventional sports I mean I love going to the venues right yeah Fizer forum Miller park Lambeau field that's part of that experience is hard to to lose that well exactly the there's a there's a big difference between going to Lambeau field in going to Miller park versus going to you know some or were you know where you know you're gonna watch people on the tiny yes right now you know this is a vastly different experience in so I don't know that you really can't compare them and I you know I I think these both can co exist but it's gonna be interesting to see especially with the NBA's announcement of there was a two thousand seventeen their NBA two K. yeah where they have like seventeen teams box being one of the two E. sports what's the big deal what happens if that makes more money than the actual phone no regular physical box plus the taxes weighing in I feel like society will get to a point where they have been enough with over privileged athletes getting paid tens of millions of dollars to play games and conventional sports well and I I don't know if that's the reality yeah I think we're a long ways from that because they are part of his just tradition like I mentioned it's a it's just the you know he took a little kid to a baseball game or dad took a son or daughter to a baseball game that's not gonna go away but you can't ignore money now when the money goes to the money talks Moneyball another another one here's the opposite side of this and I actually agree with this no watching sports watching caps kids are fat enough get out and play I'm a big fan does it contribute to laziness or in some cases health issues with his organs outside well yeah you're I mean you're gonna be drinking Red Bull and pizza and she does and that is not an exaggeration because that's exactly what I did this past week that was your your your gaming diet what I did not eat healthy this weekend I'll it wasn't a salad I'll tell you that wasn't when your wife comes back she can arrange you back yeah yeah well I do all the cooking and house of all do you yeah I just it just I'm a fantastic cook in another life I would be yeah and your karma can I see you kind of know will know how to do things now all right so one more from Justin to six to a letter I think like many other events and forms of entertainment these sports represents the ever diverse interests and personal choices of people and the splintering of mass view attendance numbers lots of common experiences like the water cooler conversations of all of these Addison now we're looking for unique experience different things that's why people are attracted to order some of these crazy shows of my when I was in my wife of people watch yeah you know the the bachelor bachelorette all yeah say yes to the dress you know my cousin something inside right is a million shells it's it's really interesting to in the just in the last like ten years and the industries that have been fabricated out of completely thin air billion dollar industries like the sports and YouTube vloggers like me or you can make a living off of doing something that you never went to college for it's not any kind of real skill other than you know it you're playing video games or making videos and it's astonishing and it's kind of it's neat that people can create something for themselves and make a living doing this kind of thing make millions of dollars when this was something that was not possible and working twenty years ago yeah we do have stock in tradition right why would we assume that the next hundred years look anything like the current hundred dollar loan so go back a hundred two hundred years there weren't sports French's like franchise like we have now now things change and they may be much much make a different world maybe it is literally an electronic digital world I'm I'm sure you don't have to physically interact and you made a great point again bring about the I'm gonna remember for you the dangers nous of sports the physical follow yeah sports as they dumb down some of these things like smoking yeah two key players safe have you lost some of the energy and excitement of the sport and is that the press the number that Negley negatively affect the numbers and do you does it not become more appealing to younger people and they're like well this is boring because I'm watching this football game but they reviewing you know plays the reviewing pass interference and then all these tackle stuff every two minutes this is boring want to watch this fortnight streamer only has the violence fees because that's that's something that a lot of people yeah but you like me that I don't games so I know that that's a part of this yeah it's it's an interesting topic so how do we if those of us who are concerned about some of the stuff with you the saturation level of of the of kids exposure to stop I mean that's something to worry about right yeah but you know and here's the thing you know we've had the all this unfortunate on gun violence in these mass shootings and stuff like that and one of the first things people always like to jump on is you know video games are this is this is one of the reasons and although there's a merry out of evidence that kind of proves against that is a video gamer I still find it hard to believe that maybe a client and so I don't really know where I stand on that as far as video game violence because all the games I player first person shooters and I mean this graphic stuff yeah so I don't know how that the fax I think it normal people it's probably fine but I think people that make the mentally unstable I feel like it could have an effect on I know the evidence is right now says no but it is a gamer I don't see how it went I think if you are someone is consumed by video gaming and to the point where you're you're on it eight or more hours a day there is a there there's an issue there I I think now let's you're paid to do it right now to that point about the public venues the texture makes a great point people are afraid of public venues maybe that's part of the appeal so they don't like to go out to these public maybe they're doing it at home because if they feel safer same thing with yeah I had somebody said the other day they don't like movie theaters because of the Aurora shooting therefore they love watching movies at home in their home theater and that's the I can totally sympathize with them that makes sense I mean I hate going to public events like I don't like I don't like going to stadiums and being being around a lot of people so the reality of the real world has changed people's I think interest in doing certain things I have this is a topic yesterday then my question was simply have have mass shootings change your behavior and it comes to public events and I think that and I I sort of I think is a Harris poll I think it was thirty three percent of the population nationally said it does it make us rethink I'm looking around when I go to a your your hypersensitive to I mean you want you know you walk into the gates at some point how to get on this topic well this is a lot to the right to make a prediction before going to break down you think he sports a list of of for the money side will be bigger than conventional sports and tenure yes is already getting yeah I do it next year to be a billing billion dollar industry and they say by twenty twenty one is going to be like a three or four billion dollar industry I did it well here's the the net naysayer negative of that traditional sports have mega contracts with the big network right he's forced don't have that exactly yeah we're talking billions of dollars for NFL football and MLB and all the other sports eastwards haven't made that switch because frankly again this is to our friend Caitlyn if you're paying to watch someone play a game yeah is that ever gonna be that popular not to me but I'm usually obviously there is and this is where we got to take off the U. S. blinders internationally that's where the audience all for sure a small country compared that we live in Indiana we like to think the United States of America represents ninety nine point nine percent of planet earth but in fact it's just a small little slice of the pie in so there's obviously something going on that we don't get I'll give you a little little love before going to break one of Texas is really enjoy Martin more young guy who who does young guys stuff yet is really interesting way appreciate all the young comics izombie forty next year yeah well she does come in here young forty if like I'm a young six you are yeah and I thought you were fifty well sixty surprising is all right these video Ravel Marshall had enough to Jeff what you're after the break right here and on the TMZ it must be a winding down my show eleven fifty five PM Martin more Springsteen fan right now lovers versus you know a bunch of.

"So I mean that that show what drew me to it is the job in general is there is no script or anything. We're all just ourselves out there, and we're hoping for the alchemy to sort of work every day, and there's no on off Harvey. He he's the same guy the entire day. And I think that's what you mean by he's just fintech. He's unguarded in everything he says, and he also sort of convinced himself that the absurd points that he's making are true. And that's very odd to me because I think he's pretty he's he's bright. He's a really bright guy. But he's he buys into a lot of the nonsense. We're doing he makes you think. Well, maybe he's right. Yeah. You want to believe him? And if you have a point against him, he'll he'll convince you that like, you're wrong. Even though you're point is clearly, correct. Clearly in some objective fashion. That's that some of the frustration. You'll see I'm out there sort of. Arguing these points. And he's I feel like I'm clearly winning. But yet he always wins. You got. It's called the Corolla method. Yeah. They're just winning by sheer force of will. Right. Like, not by logic or reason, just sheer force a person. Personnel. Nine berating, yelling, berating helpful. The that's why I'm the boss. The. Let's see Brody Stevens. Right. He knows like a favorite and he's come guest host. And and sometimes when Harvey's not there, they'll have like sort of the guest, whoever celebrity come in there and do it. He's to do that before my time. He would come and get those, and it's sort of a legendary sort of event at TMZ when when Brody came because he was so his energy was so chaotic that it was hard to cut a show around it. So sometimes the guest host don't really get the rhythm. I mean, you've seen it enough that it has a certain flow because we're making fun of Harvey. But if you know to change comes in people will pull their punches a little bit. They'll feel uncomfortable making fun of two chains in the same way. So in my opinion, the show sings the most with with Harvey, right? I mean because you might be a nice little Fillon over there. Yeah. Why have you never come in? I could come in there. How you? I. God love to do that. I'm with you come in absolutely high guy. I literally have seen every episode. And it's it's it's appointment watching for me. Because the reason I'll never miss it. Because I go like run on the treadmill or pull on the rowing machine or do whatever for like the length of TMZ, and there's less Saturday TMZ. Now, that's an hour. Two minutes in and out. Yeah, I'll let it run through the commercials. But the support the sponsored thing is it's a perfect show to watch. When you're when you're running on a treadmill rowing where it's like, it's a good workout show..

"The the thing that always drives because he is the the idea of not even trying to talk to the. The victim or trying not they you know, what is all expression. No medals for trying. Okay. The to have an informed opinion about this. They have to talk to the young woman. They just have to and they have to do everything in their power. I mean, seriously Mitch Bob we are living in a world where the investigative arm of the National Football League turns out to be TMZ Z TMZ where they I mean, there's there's footage that when you said Mike slow thinking, you're absolutely right now granted when I was twenty three I wasn't. I was the fastest thinker either. And guys who are football players are have a sense of entitlement particularly parties and off season and all the rest of this wasn't throwing this season. It was February. And we all witnessed this before dumb behavior by guys at late night parties hotels clubs coming out of a club. How many times have we heard sentences about bad behavior with athletes that begin? Coming out of a nightclub entering a nightclub leaving a nightclub two AM in the morning four AM in the morning. Having said all that you have to be particularly thick in today's day and age to think that if you're in a hotel hallway, you're not being recorded. I mean, this is the way the world works now and in. So there are these recordings everywhere, and the NFL doesn't shouldn't need TMZ the minute they hear that this took place in a hotel in a hallway, they it's standard practice. Just go go to telling get the footage. There is. Did you see I happen to see the interview? I was watching with Kareem hunt. No yesterday, the one with Lisa Saulters. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Here's what jumped out at me about it. Now, he seemed very nice and docile and contrite a to a degree, you know, contrite, but docile and calm and rational. And and and the thing that here's one the word decision gets tone. I hate the idea that this is called a bad decision. And that's a it's not a decision. You know, be reaction and be that's not who I am. He said, no frayed that is who you are you have to deal with it that okay? And I'm speaking I wanna speak from personal experience. Is you guys? Both know I was suspended for stupid action. A stupid thing said on on television fifteen years ago, and that is who I am I paid the price for being who I was for being stupid and impetuous and not recognizing the dangerous I hit entered myself into but you did. Learn from that's my central nature. Oh, yeah. But a point is exactly is I couldn't. So that is who I was another. That's not the way William know that Bob. That's you. That's the worst part of you coming out at the wrong moment. That's what that was and paid a price for it. It will he'll now have the opportunity to decide if that's who he is. Or that's what he's going to be because he's now going to pay a price. It's very easy when you haven't had to pay any price you go right back on with your with your right wall. Or you're you're blessed life, Bob, you had to pay a price. And and you'll never do that again. And I do think it's important, especially when when people are twenty three to have some kind of upside of forgiveness in the world. Now, this is not making any excuse. Good play. Again, Mitch don't you think he's going to play again without too, but he's going to have to go through some some significant visible acts of contrition including getting some help, and and and rehab and maybe doing community service and. Going out and speaking, I mean, look, you know, Ray rice actually became a really good spokesperson for this. And in fact, it was interesting to watch that they went to him over the weekend to ask for a reaction to the hunt situation. He had a very tempered intelligent response to him. And so okay. So some good came out of that for for Ray rice, at least in terms of how he can help other people whether he should have been able to play again or not is a different question when a guy's Twenty-three rice was in his thirties..

"And cbs sports radio dot com at a law radio i'm telling you i was surprised only now because i expect that he's wherever dangel we all know that's not the case because he's so careful he so deliberate now i'll give you the two versions of the story tmz has been updating this all day long and as much as you may think tmz is a rag and it tabloids here's what is the truth about tmz they don't print stuff unless they've got people that they rely on because they don't wanna get out id they don't want to be wrong so most of the time tmz is accurate so tmz is quoting law enforcement sources who said that tiger was driving a radically roughly three am they pulled him over and he reeked of alcohol right that's that's what tmz is reporting and citing law enforcement sources i wrote it down so i wouldn't misquote law enforcement sources tiger is denying that oh excuse me one more piece of information from tmz tiger was arrogant belligerent started dropping things like i'm tiger woods now i'm paraphrasing here but became arrogant telling the officers who he was and essentially the tiger woods version of do you know who i am yes we actually do know who you are that is contrary to what tiger said in his statement which is very controlled it didn't come out until monday evening twelve hours after he was released on his own recognizance so quoting to tiger it was an unintended consequence of prescription beds he didn't realize that was going to happen when he took a combo of his prescription meds presumably he means for his more recent back surgery and that he didn't even realized that they had affected him the way that they had that he's embarrassed that he fully cooperated with this had nothing to do with alcohol now i don't know a ton about prescription mets but the best of my knowledge they don't regard alcohol call me crazy so because there's no breathalyser he refused to take a breath alizer he was automatically arrested as i said because that's for the law we may never have the chemical nature of his blood alcohol blood content at that point we may never find out but it's the law enforcement word eventually will have the police report that will be released it'll.
