Making a career change in the middle of a pandemic
"I mean you're curious right about what it's going to be like in the economy yet to come because it's going to be different whether we're ready or not so. We begin today with two stories on that theme. The newspaper for the first of which is our regular thursday update on the state of the american labor market lousy in a word and other seven hundred ninety three thousand americans lost their jobs last week. Yes that is down a tad from the week earlier. But still as i think i say every week now stratospheric lee high and overall twenty something million people in this economy are getting some kind of government benefit so to the bigger point which is of course the theme of the top. Half of the program when it's going to be like when it's done to find new jobs when this is all over a lot of people might have to find new careers. The pew research center. Some new data out on that two thirds of people who are unemployed have considered going into a new occupation or a new field while one third have taken concrete steps to get new training or education as marketplace's mitchell hartman reports getting all the cogs in the back to work machine turning together leading can be easy in normal not pandemic times. Many rodriguez would have about twenty local men and women in the construction pre apprentice program. He runs in west chicago called revolution. Workshop recruiting from underserved communities typically talking about black brown and women. I mean the community desperately needs upskilling and a pathway into family sustaining careers. Most of the graduates go into construction jobs paying eighteen dollars an hour or more but the pandemic happened and seventy five percent of the folks that we have placed were laid off in the spring summer and fall revolution workshop. Didn't start any new cohorts of job trainees. Because there was no construction work for them. Thirty year jeremy smith of reno nevada got laid off from his job as a casino valet in march. He took his relief check and some savings and went back to community college with able to graduate with a bachelor's and why train management about two semesters early so ended up kicking me down the road a little quicker than i planned on. He's looking in his new field. But no luck so far. I'm sure it'll come roaring back. But it's a little dry right now. Meanwhile manny rodriguez at revolution workshop has a new class of construction pre apprentices. Now we are currently recruiting for our second cohort. So you know. I can put that blog out there or if you can do that for us every awesome. Consider it done website at our website. Is Tesla the Tip of the Bitcoin Iceberg?
"Tesla announcing today bought one and a half a billion dollars. The crypto currency tested saying it made the purchase for the ability to further diversify at maximize returns on our cash. The news sending tesla shares higher by more than a percent in bitcoin to its highest level on record so tonight we start the show with a simple question. Why why should tesla go up on this news. Why should bitcoin go up by fourteen and a half percent on this news guy. When you say well you've seen it before. We saw with micro strategies. I mean that was i think. One hundred and seventy five dollar stock prior to the offering that they did michael sale. Obviously being the ceo there. I think the stock closed over a thousand dollars today. So you know the why answer is because that's what the markets geeked up for and that's the way the market's been trading. We've seen a number of different security so to a certain extent makes and as long as bitcoin does. This grind higher those stocks will probably go up exponentially exponentially but maybe to a magnify of a one and a half or so times but it works on the downside as well. I have no idea what bitcoin is gonna do. But if we do that. Back and forth at twenty thousand that micro strategies now thousand dollars. It's probably a six hundred dollar stock. And maybe you see similar in tesla. My biggest problem is not the fact that these companies are doing it. i think. Publicly traded companies with board approvals and shareholder approval should be do anything they want in the confines of the law. It's sort of this game if occasion. You know it's elon. Musk putting on his twitter account and a bitcoin emoji. Whatever the young and say. And i'm not trying to get off my lawn. Okay boomer stuff. But i think there's i think there's a danger associated with that. He's the ceo of one of the ten largest companies in the world. I think with that heavy as ahead wears a crown. And i think he's got to think more of those things it can't just be willy nilly in my opinion. I think that's an interesting point to make but yuan. Musk had demonstrated his propensity for bitcoin. Back in december so arguably. He was driving up the price of bitcoin as the company was buying. It's not exactly you know helping his own company in terms of establishing that one and a half billion dollar purchase in terms of participating to the upside it's more so participating to the downside karen. When i heard this news i i reached out to you. Because you pro- the accounting of this and it's very interesting. Test is not necessarily a bitcoin proxy for in terms of the way it's accounting for this bitcoin purchase. No it isn't in the accounting of it says that you have to market at the price you bought it unless trades down then the market at that price. But i don't think shareholders are gonna care about that. i think they just like the idea of it I don't know when he bought it. It's sort of fascinating to me. But i do think it's actually a big deal when we talked not that long ago about the idea of investors finally feeling like they can be comfortable having some exposure to cryptocurrencies to bitcoin. That was sort of a big move it. I and there's a lot to go in that. I think we were at the very beginning of that here. S and p five hundred companies with the cash on their balance sheets contemplating using some of that to buy bitcoin. He also mentioned potentially gold and gold. Etf's in the tesla released. But that's kind of amazing to me as well so we haven't even seen yet the institutional buying come through at all i don't know if every s and p five hundred. Cfo's going to want to do this. They've been pretty conservative for a pretty long time. Buying gold wouldn't have seen that crazy. And yet i don't think very many of them did it so i mean i'm long so i'm glad it's trading up it. I do think what could go wrong from here. I don't know maybe a tad frost
The C64 'Maxi' Review - Full-Sized Commodore 64 Replica
"Retro video game consoles are pretty awesome. But i just got the one that i've been anticipating the most. I'm going to review these sixty four by retro games next. This is tweet hello everyone. Welcome to hands on tech. I'm jason howell. So if i had to trace passion for technology back to one key item from my childhood be pretty easy for me to put my finger on it. And that's the commodore sixty four. That's the one of the most popular computer systems. Especially at the time. I think it was known as the most popular computer system in the eighties. And i had a commerce sixty four for quite a few years. When i was a kid and i just had so many memories of connecting to bulletin boards with my three hundred baud modem downloading commercial games that i probably wasn't supposed to have just trading floppy disks with friends at school. I mean this defined my childhood. So when i heard that retro games was gonna put out a commodore sixty four mini console. I was elated now in twenty eighteen. They released these c. Sixty four mini. And it's about half the size of a normal commodore sixty four included some games but you could also tap into it to basically run any disk images from the congress sixty four that you wanted. I thought that was neat. Until i heard that the keyboard was completely functioning which is an issue i have a retro raspberry pi with retro pie on it and i've emulated commerce sixty four many times but not having the commodore sixty four keyboard actually changes. The experience are certain keys to re map is just not the same thing. So then i was super excited. When retro games announced that they were doing a maxi version known as the c sixty four happens to be what i have right here the full size version with a functioning keyboard and it is awesome especially for someone like me on the perfect person to give this a spin. So let's take a look at my experience with the c sixty four first. Let's talk about the hardware itself and boy. Am i happy that i waited for the full size keyboard release. The design is impressively faithful to the original bread. Been model of the commodore sixty four. There was a sand papery texture that surrounds the keys on the keyboard that to my memory is pretty spot on the like chunk of the space bar and how it feels when you slam. That feels just right. Totally takes me back and the keys themselves. They're pretty good. There may be a tad wobbly compared to my memory of the original commerce sixty four but thankfully typing this review on it. So i don't care as long as i can hit that run. Stop key when a game tells me too about the only real difference that i can tell from the original. Is that the shift. lock key. doesn't lock down into place when pressed like did on the original. It is a software toggle so it still has the same functional use is just not quite as satisfying all in all. I'm very pleased with how faithful this keyboard replica is. It's a joy to us where things are very different from. The original is the side and the back of the unit. Basically the i o ports on the side is a power button that you just tap and hold power honor office different from the switch on the original. Also three usb ports for plug near joysticks in on the side or other usb peripherals on the back is a micro usb port for power and aced out for your modern television or monitor. Something you can't do with the original commerce sixty four and another usb port and. I'm super pleased that they included that additional rear facing port because that allows me to keep a thumb drive plugged in there. When i want to add more games which you can do and we'll talk about that. My only real complaint is simply how light and in some ways kind of hollow. The entire system feels the original. Had some heft to it. You know one thousand nine hundred eighty technology and this new version contains a small arm computer with five hundred twelve megs of memory so it's pretty svelte. This nation system running vice after all also no true comer sixty four peripherals can be plugged in here at least not easily so no user port no port or expansion port. Now packed in the box is this joystick. Which as you can see has a lot more buttons than any commerce sixty four joystick. Ever had really you just end up with one if you're using a traditional commerce four controller. There's a lot more here and we'll talk about how that interfaces but definitely not quite the slick stick that. I adored back in the day but it does the job. It is super clicky. Pretty loud characteristic. Personally i never really cared much for in those old school joysticks. There's a large button on both sides. That makes it usable for lefties and righties and along. The bottom is a row of specialized buttons that tap into the carousel interface of the sixty. Four which i'll get to as well as for allowing specialized functions during game play so you can load and save states. You can open a virtual keyboard which on the maxi the large version of the c. Sixty four is is unnecessary. Really and then of course you can exit out to the main carousel screen to load a new game. The stock joystick is really kind of essential. If you want to jump in and out of games quickly. It's a bummer. There aren't other designs to choose from. Because like i said it does the job but it's definitely not my favorite for long stretches. Bluetooth support is not included But some people in forums have had luck with different. Modern controllers plugged in via usb. So assume that you're probably using the stock controller unless you really wanna go diving deep and experimenting you might be able to take your favorite controller and plug it in here but it's probably not going to be super easy out of the box now a mini console releases often only as good as the games that are included on it and if you check wikipedia it says that the commodore sixty four originally had around ten thousand commercially released software for the platform. So no matter how. You chop down to disappoint somebody. The c sixty four ships with you guessed it sixty four titles out of the box including a few vic twenty. Titles a firmware update. They you should. Flash brought another seven games to the carousel and some additional functionality. Over although game selection is pretty paltry and my opinion. It doesn't quite match my own nostalgic experienced. But like i said everybody has a different experience. I really appreciate the epochs heavy offerings here. So you've got impossible mission of all the games games summer winter games the jump man series of pretty much many of epochs is a classic titles are in there. There's also a few other favorites. You radium perr odroid. There's some good games in there. Don't get me wrong. But many of these titles simply were not on my radar when i was a kid so when it comes to nostalgia i'm really looking for titles that i know and going to get to more on that in a second but gameplay itself is as smooth as it needs to be. I didn't find any games that didn't work the way i remember them Playing it is an emulation approach though so consider that. It's not going to be perfect. But i didn't detect anything that clued me into it being ambulation. I have emulated the congress sixty four on the raspberry pi and some keys. Don't exist on the keyboard that you have to plug into the back of the raspberry pi in order to do it. So like i said earlier. Having this keyboard makes the game play experience that much. Better the carousel which used very frequently with the c. Sixty four is thoughtfully done as well. You've got some game. Cover art some gameplay screenshots and then a description of the game along with details like who the composer was which personally is a c sixty four aficionado. I can say that super important. The ship is is an amazing music. Chip that was included in the sixty. Four this dozen a perfect job of emulating it and it is really nice to know if hubbard produced not track that you're about to listen to either our display options if you wish to add some crt style scan lines to the experience though. Personally i kept those off for the most part so sixty four games out of the box pretty limited when you're talking about ten thousand total titles but it isn't a deal breaker because if you format a thumb drive to fat thirty two you can add play d sixty four disk images added to your heart's content though you might have to do some cleanup work. I in order to make that happen. The integrated file manager only two hundred fifty six files in a single folder. So if you have a library of thousands of games you're going to shift everything around into their own folders in order to get access to all of those within the interface or you can tap into a community driven upgrade for the c. Sixty four called project carousel. Usb this actually adds hundreds more games directly into the carousel interface so it's as easy to pick and choose as the stuff that ships with the sixty four. Now do note. Project carousel may violate copyright rules. So you're going to want to be sure to check your local laws before diving in check with your own ethics and see if you feel comfortable with that and if it's legal for you to do so but if you do choose to explore this it's super easy. It's non-destructive doesn't override the firmware permanently. Basically you just throw the image files on a thumb drive and then flash the firmware temporarily after boot up to access all the games in that interface power off. The original firmware returns to stock.

"Was the silent part of that world. Okay on the pros production editing process. It's going to be a to do all right. let's get all pretty now and let's talk about glamour muscles move. Glamor muscles is a triple a. p. a. from creature comforts coming in at ten point. Oh eight dogs feet. So there triple. Ip is hop with citra simcoe and chinook despite the higher abd and hop flex limps with the black. This gold extravagant beers quite emotional or any level of hop over to enjoy that like. I don't think that last part. About senior michelob. Ultra drinkers are to fear. Fear furious seltzer fan. You're not gonna wanna save river this veer off you. This would jam your river. I you can smell this beer from five feet away. It is so intense. It is definitely for people that are not hop head to head. If you drink maximus for breakfast every day. I mean you know i love. This is your jam. I love this beer. I think is big as it is as strong as it is. I think it's got balance. I think it's it brings out the good things. I like in the different hops these but if i if i knew do now what this is like come in and i have choice. I would start out with the tropicalia association. Yeah because this would just kind of like no me for the rest of the night. I strongly pallet burner but it doesn't. It's not a burnout. i. I'm bitter like it burns you out because the bidders it's just there's so much going on or not drinking fresh one twenty. You're not drinking devil. Sir is more balanced. I drank to two or three tropicalia. Drank this one. I can still taste it. Okay well i thought it was like a wet black cat in lemon period. We are going to rate glamor muscles triple. Ipa from creature comforts for and last. But not least briefly. We're gonna talk about imperial tropical hayes. Hazy wpa eight percent. Well-balanced hazy wpa with citrus centennial and galaxy hops muddled. I mean it's it's it's hazy and it's just different and haven't figured out what you need order this beer. It's not going to many people. It's hard to about this one after that. That's for you know. I don't even get the imperial part of it now. I don't either. This is a hazy version of targeting rate. This one a three well that is gonna do it for us. Today.

"See so so quick to jump in cut her. Mike hoffman julianna. Which clock cutting. This is gorgeous absolutely gorgeous. Black loggers are so underrated. you tasting. what's in that class yeah. Black loggers are so underrated. I mean true. It's light it's not. it's not too heavy. The roast on there is just gorgeous. It draws you in on. But it's not it's it's very satisfying. I am withdrew. This is the word underdone is right. Where i think this is because the first reminds me of a who because you get that watery chocolate kind of thing. I think you're withdrew at all. No word he said. It's underdone because i just don't think that it's embodying enough of the element of lager. It's their crisp element to it is not there. I just you know it feels like the chocolate. In in it's under attenuated in it. Just it tastes eight. Chocolate water. Used picking up the lactose shape stretching all the way out for four beers. You know but yeah. I just i i think in the hallows of black loggers i just. I think this is just underdone i. It's too watery for me. I was looking forward to this. Because i love black lager. You know it is. I think it's a great style in There are a lot of people that have done this well. This is just not one of them. I think it starts week but it finished. A strong is what i would say about it. It's not crisp on the back end. It's flat in its it see. I don't. I don't get that like i do. Get a nice sharp clean. Fizzy reminds me a lot of a dry irish stout. Not a stout. You know i i. I wonder a lot of the black loggers that i've had in the us market here. In the last several years have tended towards more like black a. Yeah so that's definitely not the way to go. Yeah i i think this is. Maybe you know it's obviously come back from that and but perhaps we've just tasted so many a ask durability of making a solid logger is missing era. I just you know to me. You have to have a really solid logger before you even gonna drop in. You know a roasted mall on top of it. And i just think the base beer here is what is missing. I just don't think this is a solid logger. I think they just added a bunch of chocolate malt on top of a. You know a barely. You know Lager at the end of the day should put a tiny bit but chocolate malls in then for the color just a little bit of a black malt. Just a tiny little bit just to give it the color and san. I think this is perfect. I mean because as a light lager interest in mind. Yeah i'll take there was gonna be one beer the show the mike was going to go off the rails. But i just think that thing. You're off the rails. It's not a good lager and it's not a good black lager you know creature comforts if you're listening. I enjoy in appreciate what you've done. Because i don't want a black lager that's really happy. I wanna black lauter. That's gonna be light because if i wanted it heavier. Go with stout dry. Stout i would like it light. I would like it crisp bitter at the end. And i thought it was crispin better than and yeah and rusty. I'm we're not county in on this. Okay the fives are going to take this. 'cause we like to see she is the boss. I told you. Mike.

It's their black lager. Coming looking forward to this. I haven't tasted this. It's been sitting in the glass in front of me coming in at five point zero. Ab the silent world is a black lager featuring notes a chocolate and coffee with caramel toffee tunes river. They brewed this bearded dive into the depths of their love for old world traditional beer styles specifically showcasing a type of lager that they greatly enjoy. I would like a river that smelled like this though would be would be quite nice. I love the aroma. Office is really good row. Small dead river in willy wonka and the chocolate factory to this. I'm augusta scoop all day. Yeah now it's very nice. It's a little watery on the front end to me but then all the flavor kicks in. It's clean beer which you know from the logger but it's it's got a lot of chocolate little bit coffee. Yeah there's definite complexity the spirit like he's just enough complexity with the with the the malta chocolate the don't just even a little bit of Kind of i would say smoke but i. I'm liking it. But it's a little different than schwartz. May the short years with you. We'll says a lot more spices to it. Like all the baking spices times. Yeah.

Which is more like a bavarian lager. Yes i it's too sweet i. There's there's there's no way the needs a hop district makes hundred bills. I've had in my lifetime even club. I would i if you told me. It was a longer commute. Logger i would kind of like a little bit more than mall little bit more. The really bake bread. Yeah yup nine as much cracker right but but and you don't get that hop balanced who that you want an appeal listener. So i don't think that the description as matching up with what's in the class but when you look at just what's in the class it's it's an. It's a good beer. It's something you would order like five the five gallon load georgia. Murray should be able to provide plenty of cracker in their pills. Ner yes yeah. So that's right. I totally said that you went there. I'm owning every bit of it. Somehow it gets worse. I really who it's going okay. So overall semi decent pills ner okay. Yeah hated we're going to rate the bibo a to by bo so i had a topic where it's discussing today one. I was driving the studio today. S all billboard with this you know ad campaign that says have seltzer. Save a river. i don't get it. This is the strangest concept you know of feel good. Do good you know campaigning. By some pr firm dead has truly got everything out of whack. How can you take products. It uses freshwater that they draw from probably rivers. You know an create our water reverse osmosis water or brew with and then send that to the very same people that go out on the river and throw the cans of that hard seltzer all over the freaking river. That does none of this makes any sense to me whatsoever. I don't think you have to try to put some positive spin on drinking seltzer. You gotta you gotta find a reason. That is the strangest.

We're going to re automatic from creature comforts a four really strong start and as well they are about to really good beers so you can they keep it going. Though i'm scared it'd be looking at other things. The up. yeah it's going to sink or swim on what's the we start. It's not as intense with like lactic staying that you get some of them that you need to balance with fruit lactic stinky a cool band name would be ical name and i was thinking the exact same thing but from sort of the opposite perspective. I i wish it had a little more lactic. Well that's what i'm saying this is. This is a little more under traditional understated. I think it would be a little intense if it was more true style but it is still in the style and i one that i prefer. I think i could drink a little more. I don't recall a laco In a blend vice. Is there another beer that done that. The other than or including that. I'm saying i've never had a blender vice. Ask lactose in in before. Add this one today. That i can recall. Is there another one that does that. And it kind of it's kind of like stacking on kind of the mouth feel because the wheat beer self kind of brings a creamy unicef's kinda mouth feel to it and the milk sugars. You know that you're bringing around with you. Know the lotto is stacking on top lactose. That's not take my reading this right. Yeah yeah yeah yeah so. There's no lactose is there's copa sylla's cillizza age. I'm with reading soured green. Yeah i know like as host homebrew a lot of times you would just lactic acid. Yeah you know. Also that was dave's mistake. Wow geez what a jerk. I am putting putting words on a page and expecting mike to read. I do like this. it's very good. It does have a creamy mail. Feel to it and it has a good citrus. Overtone to it. this is a solid. Belinda rise. I think the i think there's some fans that are that are looking at this style and i think they're always looking for that tart fruit you know kind of overtone. In a in a blender vice plum is to me. I think is like the standard. American breweries have changed people's expectations of what. A berliner vacation tastes like this is softer like if you want the traditional german. It's a little more honey ish Little way i think even softer than this. And don't you use whatever i mean. Yeah so yeah. I think they're brune beers for american palate. So because the sour drinkers that i know and i count myself among them. Even though you i appreciate different styles and being true to and this pick up a sour beer even if it is a bild's our quote unquote like berlin advice. Quanta drink a sour beer food for something if you're buying six of them you know if you're buying a six pack you definitely like i wanna taste history necessarily. I wanted to drink a beer. That i wanna drink. I get you on that. I am definitely thinking of what is competing against us in this market and to me the orpheus blender vice is right there on a ride alongside. I'm sorry then. I would pick the orpheus all day long over this blender price this is this is This is something a lot more approachable. I think this is for somebody that's never had a blender vice you know and they're just kind of easing into it. This is something that you hand to that person but for somebody that's really looking for something to style you're going to go does is way under what i was thinking. It was going to be. I think it's more of a. This is more of a taproom beer instead of say more. Approachable doesn't mean. It's it's better on point but yeah i still think this is kind of like a gateway berliner vice here. Yeah i. it's a great way. We think a great way to well. I like it. Because i don't like the i like that. It doesn't have that can leanness. Sometimes you know the kettle sour berliners. Just overdone yeah. It is and it's a little too sharp. I know you guys are saying this is soft. But i like the softness of this. And this would be a type of berliner. That i would like to experiment with fruit on which i have a feeling or at least i would think that at the taproom. They might be experimenting with different. Fruits added to this as a base. He choose yeah after like that idea. You know if you think of this says a base beer itself and you if you went down that path of creating whole fruited blender vices with this. I agree with you. It would let the fruit shine because the beer's not going to get in the way. It's not gonna compete. Just get a little juice and just kind of like what they do in germany with the syrups but just take a little peach juice or whatever i love the idea into what's in your backyard pizzas blinn advice or these goose berry. Yeah snozzberries yeah thank. Those are all really great. Choices wanted to go big and go persons who might be a little Well the athena berliner vice from creature comforts. We are going to rate three.

"Southern. I mean you were broad and number five listen to that. Hang gimme in other that. It's very long beach mississippi. Something else dead in these creatures. I'm not giving me in a comfort. Okay well let's get to the beer. Y'all oh yeah that's southern to all right. let's start with the beer that started for creature. Comforts you know when i think of creature comforts. It's gotta be the tropicalia right. Absolutely part of the story that i had to share about you. Know tropicalia was I actually had in atlanta for the first time on tab and i was like wow. This is an amazing. I a i love the hop. Lend off this. It really dad. Great timing there. Were just think there were a lot of west coast type as that. Were you know kind of floating around at the time and everybody was trying to figure out what was going to be their signature beer and they figured this out really quick. You know et creature comforts but to me. I think the the big thing that they missed was the opportunity to expand and to move outside the state of georgia. And i really thought that they would have come to tennessee or south carolina. Even florida was probably my my biggest thought was that would they would expand to a neighboring state and they just sat on it for like. It's like eight nine probably a year and a half went by and they just stayed. You know in georgia. And i was like no you. You're not gonna make it for the long haul a one state wonder. It's just not gonna happen six years later expand and they've added a lot of beer talking about today but Yeah the they still have been pretty slow to expand their distribution. And you know what that's okay. Though that they have states are in. I would guess probably eight to ten at the most so none of them are tennessee and while we have definitely seen a trend in the industry for places that don't expand enough there also or cautionary tales of those that have expanded too big too fast. Too soon. crashed emerged as well. So kudos to them for making delicious beer for as long as they have. And it is i as rotating air today. I love this hot blend. It's really good. It's really good fresh great beer when you catch it. You know in the first two weeks thirty days Yeah you're going to enjoy this. Yeah and i think it's always a balancing act between volume and quality. I mean not you know. I mean it's the fact that it's fresh. It's local adds a lot to the pop at least tastes like that on this one if you can scale up and keep the quality that's great but if you if you can't in close with a lot of these hoppy beers if you know if you're not sure you're going to sell it then so you push it out and then it sits on the shelf with fourteen other beers at are more local in yours. You're not getting picked up your or rent separated. Yeah when somebody tries it. It's gonna taste crack. So i'm with mike i think i would love to. I mean if we could have been buying tropicalia in nashville three years ago. That would been freaking amazing. Well the thing that Continue to sip. This state really reminds me of some other products that were released about this same time of logging. Saipa i think is very close to this nodding your head and you know i really see that kind of moving into some of the same space. This is a barrier. Gonna find in the ballpark. You're gonna find this. You know at convention this is going to be. You know on every tab handle you know within three hundred mile radius of the brewery. I mean this is. This is one of those very approachable. Ip as you're gonna find very pervasive better but it's not super bitter catalog. Everything julian yeah. It's it's very classic you know. And every time i get it reminds me of the first time that i had it and i was really blown away because we were getting so many west coast de beers at the time that this to me was very refreshing because it had that citrusy passion fruit thing also a six point six percent. It's too yeah. It does not taste like a six six and you could crush a lot of these in the cans the perfect size and the bitterness that lingers. You know it's to me very almost like grapefruit. I don't know it yet. It's kind of taste. It's something that. I could quash off with totally well. We are going to read. The tropicalia from creature comforts a four A great start really good. Start in i love that. We started with the flags downhill from his. You know we'll see you know as kind of round out through some of these other beers can tain the intensity of that quality because this is a very well made beer too. That's the thing like it. This tastes just as good five years ago as it does today and i love that very true very true even with the expansions that they have done all right. Let's go on now and talk about their pale ale automatic called automatic. This is five and a half percent. It's bright refreshing and a drinkable pair can pale ale english as a second language. Sorry this is the message. The message is beware. They say it has a delicate balance top flavor with aromas of berry citrus and pine. So this is more citrus than definitely the the last you know hop all that intense bitterness is kind of moved almost completely out of this. This is definitely like somebody dropped a lemon wedge in your glass. The tropicalia was was definitely like a cleaner bitterness. This is sort of. I dunno an almost an early for me. It's it's bright. I will say there's delicate but there's there's something else going on. I think also that tropicalia even though it was very clean it was balanced also in a way i mean not that i got malt but there was some heft to it. This is this is. This is a lighter a beer overall so it to me it it. It balances a little more in the on. But it's kind of kind of tilting in that direction for me. Yeah no i agree. Yeah i like how the beard the malt just kind of sits back and lets hops like kinda ride on top of it. You really get to enjoy. And it's not overdone. What do you think julie. This is another i to me. A really lake An everyday drinking beer not too happy And i think very enjoyable for a good variety of people. You know what i mean like. We're all like this because they won't be such a nice time you know. I think every time. We've when i think of pale ale in general i really think of. It's the absence of flavor and to me. This actually has a bit more happiness than i would tend to expect in a general pail so if this was sitting beside any of the macro beers fall in this category so god this is so happy you know so. I think of like the kind of the hallmark of pale ale which is sierra nevada. Right i think this is. i mean. it's definitely not the same beer..

"From the auto collision specialists studios here. It's been fun I mean I again I know we're we're GONNA get set for football Friday coming up we'll are bussed in I was excited to add more college games to that slates in the next couple of weeks but. No Rams and Lobos happening this weekend. So we thought we'd have some fun today really talking basketball to Broncos and basketball to. Power to play sports poll question is by the way and this is overwhelming. After two wins in a row. Do. You think the Broncos are a playoff team. And I still believe they are. They have they have weathered the storm? They're going to get guys back and that doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be Kansas City what they are going to get guys back. That should bode well for those next critical four games in the month of November. I mean some big opportunities for the broncos teams I think. That they're they're they're better than right now. They should. At least it should be able to beat on paper now I again. The. Raiders are kind of the scary one in that mix and that four game stretch. And I really WANNA. See how they do against Tampa Bay. Maybe that will tell me a lot of how I'm GONNA. Feel about that game coming up in a couple of weeks. But it's been fun here. Talk Basketball you know we talked to Wyoming head men's basketball coach Jeff Lender were waiting to get see you men's basketball coach Tad Boyle on the program talk about this team that. Listen I mean every single year I think the expectations are pretty high and I think that bodes well for the for this program I. Mean we're always expecting this team to go to the big dance and I don't think that changes this your we have coach on the line with us on our I advantage hotline so you men's basketball coach Tad Boyle coach always appreciate it when you can give us some time. Absolutely good to be with you. Yeah it's a it's a strange time co I feel strange because we don't even have the full schedule yet and I talked to mark Johnson the voice of the buffs earlier today, and he told me to ask you if you wanted to break that news today here on the program, I? Thought out there. Well, we're still waiting. We're still waiting a few contracts and we're still waiting on one more game but we're getting closer and closer. So we we know we're opening up the season in Manhattan Kansas. That much we do know on November twenty fifth against South Dakota State and we play Kansas State on November the twenty seventh two days later. So we know I two opponents and you know as coaches say it's guess what fans can't come to the Games before January one so you know I know people want to know the schedule and who were playing what we're playing, and the one thing we know the Games will be on TV which is good news but we won't have fans in the stands at least in Boulder until after January ski earliest. No that's that's where I've been confused too because some schools you know they just have their conference schedule out they don't have the start of this. They don't have that game one. It's strange for you guys to for a while because you know you have that for you have the little apple classic, you have it set but then the unknown was after that. But as you said, you're developing your, you're getting that set how strange is that? Though to be putting all this together here we are on October twenty first. Yes. Definitely. Strange. There's no doubt about it but I think you look at the the one thing we know is everybody's in the same boat. So you know you just deal with it. Yeah. The one thing we know about you know our world today is you gotta stay Nimble and fluid and. You gotta be able to react quickly and in have a contingency plans and and those most important thing for our players. I WANNA I wanNA stay safe and stay healthy, and we've been able to do that. I've I admire you coaches, and of course, coach so much respect for you on a basketball floor and what you've done for that program what you've done for boulder can what you actually what you did for Greeley for crying out. Loud. But now when you look at all these extra things on top of what a coach responsible for when you look at the situation with covert, I, mean, that just adds more to your plate. Has that obviously initially they had to be tough to navigate through but are, are you starting to get a handle on how to deal with all these? Rules and regulations. Try and you know and you you you you sometimes yes. Logical questions and there are no answers. That's what's frustrating. You, know at the end of the day though radio the biggest thing. For me as a coach is, is we owe it to our student athletes to provide them a great experience. You know while they're on our campus and and and the unfortunate thing about about covert is is that that's robbing them of that experience and the one thing I know about our players they've worked extremely hard this off season they they love the game they've want the opportunity to compete and I just want to provide that for them. And you just have to remind yourself of that every single day it's not about you. It's not about your frustrations. It's not about your ideas or your thoughts about what is the student athletes experience and how can I best you know help make that as as good as it can be, and so that's that's your mission, and that's what you have to get up every morning and and try to do. We're talking to see you men's basketball coach coach, Tad Boyle. As, coach mentioned, they get that season started November twenty fifth against South Dakota state in a little apple classic in Manhattan Kansas I'm looking forward to that. As you said, it will be televised. So I know buffs fans are excited. What are the expectations like coach you and I've talked about this a lot your ex I I think your expectations are always through the roof I think a lot of people throughout the state the country expect big things from this program every single year, and that's a testament to what you guys have built their of course but. Does. It still feel different with this with covid nineteen. Are they expectation? You're just looking to get out on the floor or are you still holding true to those big dance aspirations? No, we look we this isn't NCW tournament team. There's no question about it in my mind that we have it's one thing to just talk about that and say you know that that doesn't get you anywhere everybody can say that right now. But the ideas you have to go out there and prove that and you did opportunities to play to do that. And you know. The one thing we do know is we had thirteen non conference operative excuse me eleven non-conference opportunities to do that before, and now with the season being moved back from November.
Tools To Help With Instagram Growth
"Welcome to another episode of marketing. School I'm Eric Su and I'm Neil. Patel and today we're GONNA talk about a couple of tools to help with instagram growth. So I will start with number one and this is what I've mentioned. Once already tensor social and there's a lot of other influence or tools but tensor social is it's cool because let's say I, want to find people that are it allows me to filter and. Search. For people that I think are most relevant to me. So let's say I wanNA find only verified accounts that have contact information that are in the marketing nation. I can actually do that or I can do a profile on Neil's account of Neil. Neil has a lot of marketers following I can see which influential people are following him, and maybe I can reach out to those people right. So the whole idea here is We often talk about finding email addresses, finding contact information to reach out to people to get things done. A lot of people are hanging out on instagram. So this is just another way to push your your initiatives. Ford. If you're people are actually hanging out on. INSTAGRAM Another thing that I like doing is I use Canada because one way I've found to grow your in grandfathering extinct carousels you to see him on Eric Nice proposal. They can keep clicking next next next next next, and it creates a ton engagement and I bet you they're tracking how many people are swiping which them to show your content increase the reach way more. So but you can use cabinet do for you don't have to pay designer then. I like using in grammar that's I N. G. R. A. M. E. R. I think felt right Tad's matter when you're posting on instagram. So what happens is they'll show, let's say I want to write something on. My continents about marketing while it's GonNa show me the most popular tags is going to show me rare tags and also think there's a medium level two and then you can sort out the majority of them. Are you wanna find are the rare tags and the medium? Tanzania put some popular ones in there and that's the idea and sometimes when we've used in the past, we have had over sixty to seventy percent of people discover. A piece of content and that's a lot and so tabs work and go ahead and use of the White House. Grammar. Another team that you can doing is using social blade I use social blade to spy on my competition look at growth not tell you how many followers are getting and how many how often they're posting content and you can start looking for correlations of me like Oh, they posted this content this day and their follow count jump through the roof. So you can start looking at what was the context that they're posting that's getting into the most followers in will give you ideas of the type of content you should be posting on your profile to get more followers more reach. Yup So one free toy you can use facebook creator studio. What's great about it is you can schedule I g TV posts an instagram posts ahead of time, and that's they'll show you analytics as well. It just really convenient us sure there's other tools out there like sprout social send a ball. There's a lot of these other social tools but facebook creator studio does make things pretty easy and It also allows you to post to facebook and also believe allows you to boost those posts as well. Another thing that you WANNA do out facebook's Ad Library because if you're trying to run ads on Instagram, it can give you some inspiration and that's very important because some of the best ways to grow your profile is to advertising whether we like it or not, but check out as well.
The COVID VIP treatment
"All right. So what happened in the last week that was newsworthy okay. Something about someone came down with something someone or someone's the president called covert nineteen and was basically a super spreader event at the White House and ton of the people in his orbit also came down with covered nineteen. I think it was one, thousand, nine, hundred, Steve Count messed I heard. Wow, ironical. So it highlights the fact that this pandemic it's still ongoing it's very infectious agent. You have to be extremely careful one of the things that came out of this though. So again, we're not trying to pick on trump, but this is something we have to talk about. There was a lot of confusion surrounding pretty much everything to do with with the president's infection. He went to Walter Reed Hospital which which is a military hospital and it's where the president would go when he gets sick and. The care that he received there was was odd it's not how would a regular person would have been treated that way there is something by the way if I could back up for a second in medicine, we do refer to recall VIP medicine where if you have a very high profile VIP patient, sometimes they get special treatment but the thing is it's usually not better than standard care. It sort of VIP care can often be worse because any. That biases, the decision making if you think about it, the clinical decision making should already be optimized to risk versus benefit and all that stuff. And anything that biases that is going to deviate from optimal it could only be good. That's the only. Time where where it's better medicine is obviously in the superficialities Tad. Service when a a Saudi prince, a literal Saudi prince basically bought the entire floor of the hospital. For him to stay yes. You get that kind of treatment but the actual medical care unless like you can't pay for things well, and that's the real problem in our country. Right? Is that some people are getting not optimal care simply because they can't afford not optimal care right and actually. To be honest with you if you're sick, you know most people are getting the care that they need enshrining for to the. Hospital just does it and worries about getting paid for it later to be honest with you and they are sort of baking into the whole system taking a loss. But regardless of how you feel about trump like he is the president, which means he needs to be well as soon as possible. Be Getting. The best care should. Carry that we can deliver. But where the VIP care deviates from optimal is when they do things like give experimental treatments you know. I think drugs that usually only give people when they're. Right he got he got one experimental treatment, a monoclonal antibody. He received the rent. Vir, which is pretty standard but again usually. Given in severe cases, but the the real the real curious thing was that he was given steroids and steroids are usually reserved for people in the later stages the people who have the WHO get the immune reaction after the first week or so that sick when they're immune reaction like a really negative immune reaction kicks in then we give them steroids to sort of tamp that down you don't necessarily want to give them initially because they the steroids suppress the immune system, right might suppress your ability to fight off the virus earlier. So there's no prophylactic kind of benefit to. Perhaps he was sicker than they let us. Yeah. So there's a mismatch between what we're being told about how was and what we were being told about what he was getting and I tell you I'll say when I become a super VIP and I go to the hospital and by a floor whatever I do I will say give me the standard of care but add on demand. Foot massages. Treat. Strategy that's your VIP tree. That's fine. But he got steroids and so pretty evasion oxygen. Actually Multiple Times Oxygen Standard Your. Drop you're right but but that's what I'm saying like maybe he was sicker than we thought because within the first lake apparently, he got oxygen while he was still at the White House before they decided to bring him in and then the doctor was really cagey about whether or not he was still needing oxygen supplementation. You correct we're kind of talking about two different things. So you're correct in that there's a mismatch between the different things that we're being told. When did he contract it? When did he know? Was He? When did it become symptomatic? How sick was he did he require oxygen? Did he have pneumonia the his doctors being cagey about all of these things but we did learn that he did on two occasions. Occasions was temporarily given supplemental oxygen because Oh two's rations dropped, which means there was some pulmonary involvement but the steroids is a different issue I. Don't think that's a manifestation of him being sicker than we were told because he would not be out of the hospital now if that were the case. That's a manifestation I. think of them throwing everything at him to get him better as quickly as possible even if it's not necessarily the best thing. It could backfire sicker. Yeah. I I don't know what's going on behind closed doors but. Wouldn't give that at this stage of the illness and I've read multiple articles of of of covert nineteen treating doctor saying just doesn't make any sense this. There's no scenario where he should be getting steroids at
When You're Stuck at Home and Things Get Bizarre
"On medium.com and here is when you're stuck at home and things get bizarre. The pandemic has unhinging humans and non-humans alike I have been super frustrated being cooped up at home last week going for a driver's license renewal felt like a trip to Disneyland. I couldn't wait to talk to someone other than my husband and like crazy question my brain. No way. Most people are in the same boat quipped my mind if most people are in the same boat. How are they social distancing pondered my brain struggling to visualize that boat my mind rolled its eyes and gave up. The first question had not been rendered moot. We live in strange times someone in a far-off province had Close Encounters of the catastrophic kind with a bat. And now our entire planet is growling with a pandemic and it is messing not only with our bodies but also with our heads I had no idea that pandemic is stressing out. Our nonhuman friends to walk closer to home. Some of my household items have been acting rather strange not as strange as humans act but close enough for me to challenge the sanity of the items in question. The sleazy vacuum cleaner my robotic vacuum cleaner who I found to be cute think Wally cute has turned out to be a grade a creep as soon as I press the on button on him. He heads towards my oscillating fan ignoring every instruction. I punch in his remote. He then starts banging into the fan like a crazed teenager high on hormones. I've observed this compulsive Behavior day in and day out and failed to put a finger on it. Is he passive-aggressively bullying the fan or dry humping it the fickle oscillating fan speaking of passive aggressive actions that very Fanboys me when my husband isn't looking it oscillates on its own and blows a blast of air in my face it is well aware that I do not enjoy those blasts. I'd like to give birth Benefit of Doubt and believe this series of lightning storms are gripped, Georgia tripped up its circuits, but I'm skeptical of that theory because it behaves like a gullible love-struck push over with my husband and eats out of his hand the vengeful green onion plants on the subject of eating. I proud transferred a task from my list of infinite number of things. I want to start in 2022 list of handful of things. I accomplished in 2028 gardening. I like to call it an apartment setting. I grow edible plants and vegetables in my apartment in case the world comes to a grinding Halt and we're not allowed groceries a veggie in hand is worth two in the grocery store. I've succeeded in growing everything except green onions. My green onions are literally dead. Spiraling out of control they shot out like cannonballs when I place the roots in water and seem to be on their way to breaking the glass ceiling as far as shoots go but transferring them to a pot full of soil has messed them up real good. Now they're growing in spirals instead of going straight. I think they want revenge because I potted them it put it into their nightly strolls through our apartment you see on my sister's advice. I have now started talking to them. Yes talking out loud to them to sue their nerves and help them grow in the right direction. Isn't that just a tad bit weird? I asked her. Well, it is very effective. You know, I talked to my plants to basil mint Rhododendron all of them. Why would it be weird she replied? Of course not that's perfectly normal. I added with hesitation. Call me. If they ever start replying to you. It might be time to visit your shrink. I muttered off the teleporting bird feeder a month ago. Our bird feeder like the birds. It was feeding took flight from our balcony railing. We scoured our balcony wage partment downstairs neighbor's balcony the grounds every place within a 100-mile radius with a fine-tooth comb but to no avail, it's been a month since it went missing and I've given up hopes of its return the only logical explanation.
President Trump's diagnosis throws election into chaos
"For the Corona virus has roiled the country. Perhaps throwing even more chaos into an already frenetic election year. Trump has been casting doubt on the validity of any election results for some time, and during Tuesday's debate, he suggested that the presidential election will be contested and that it might get ugly. If he doesn't win. I am urging my people, I hope it's going to be a fair election if it's a fair election what I am 100% onboard, but if I see tens of thousands of ballots being manipulated I can't go along with that. Joining me His elections law expert Richard Bro Fault a professor at Columbia Law School, which start by explaining how the law gives states the power to take electoral votes back from the voters. Everyone knows the election for president is really an election decided by the electoral college, and every state has provided that its electoral votes will be determined by who wins the popular election on November 3rd. However, under the constitution, the state legislatures have the right to decide how their electoral votes are going to be capped. And although this has never happened soon, state legislators have collectively defined entrust this decision. The popular vote. The issue has been raised about whether or not after Election Day, the state Legislature of any given day could decide to cast that state's electoral vote on it. That issue has never come up before. We don't know what would happen if the state Legislature after Election Day half of the law that we're giving our electoral votes toe someone so but that issue has come out, partly because of Effort's raised by the president and others to cast a cloud over the legitimacy of the popular vote at a time when more people than ever are going to be voting by mail. One issue is how long will it take to get the popular vote tabulated and what issues are going to be raised about that? And to what extent Trump on the Republicans going to try and deny the legitimacy of the popular vote goes against them? The way of justifying an action by state legislature stay like in Pennsylvania or with conference to get its electoral votes to trump. So what is the timetable for this look like the timetable for this is partly driven by something called the Electoral Count Act. So in 18 87 following the disputed election of 18 76. Congress passed a law trying to bind itself in the future and how it would deal with disputed of electoral votes. And what it said is that so long as the state revolved any dispute about who's won its electoral votes by six days before the electoral college is supposed to meet this year is number 60. Provided that the state results always excused by six days before that, Congress has pledged to except the winner of the state's electoral votes that sometimes called the Safe Harbor deadline. They still take those results leader. There's nothing that prohibits him from accepting layer results. Those deadlines are really an artifact of Congress, but it's effectively about five weeks after Election Day. And one question is, well. Five weeks be enough time not just a tad mate all the absentee votes but also resolve the many challenges that likely to be brought against President. Trump has also said that on ly the votes that are known on election night matter, why is he saying that? Well, part of this I think relates to it is sometimes called the blue shift, and this year is being called the Red Mirage. All in the past. I don't think I made a big difference between Democrats. Republicans who vote by mail in recent election cycles. Think you've been seeing a slightly higher percentage of Democrats by now? Now that the election night numbers will be a bit more Republican, then the total numbers. This has been true nationally because the states have the heaviest of mail in ballots on the West Coast. Washington, Oregon, California And so you may remember in 2016 Hillary Clinton's election I popular vote margin of about a half a million or more grew over time to about 2.5 million. As more and more votes came in from the West Coast. So the assumption is especially this year with the president basically telling Republicans not the vote by mail that the election night vote in the close state We'll show Republican lead, which will be offset over the next couple of days as the nail and both are tabulated. He's basically saying we should. If you were the late vote, we should ignore the mail in votes. Now. An article in the Atlantic said that Republicans in the swing state of Pennsylvania have considered how the state Legislature could appoint electors of their own, choosing in the absence of a clear election night win. At what point does the law gives them the authority to do that? It's not clear that it would ever be legitimate, though it might be constitutional in that, right. Remember, for example, in Bush versus Gore, it took some five weeks to figure out who in Florida and even then that hadn't really figured it out. The Supreme Court came and stopped account. So we have had many elections in which the result was not known on election night or even a week later. Remember also that under federal law, military ballots are entitled to be received and counted off until 10 days after election Day to, actually under federal law, you really can't have a final results until 10 days after Election Day, whether or not what the legislation could just step in and declare a winner in a couple of questions come up one is is that the state Legislature alone or what about the governor has a Democratic government? What if you tried to veto this? President Trump has set a new

I think thanks guys I I really I wanted to tug at her heartstrings much like Judy Garland did as she sang over the rainbow, which originally wasn't going to make the cut in the movie and then they put it back in what about a huge mistake? It made the right choice. Wow well, before we sort of wrap up this fascinating conversation is the anything you want to share with us about the film. That's not obvious. To a regular viewer of film you know because clearly you've seen it like what seven billion times. And is there anything? That you want to reveal to us because one thing I learned. is that there's a conspiracy that there's a hanging body in one of the frames that somebody committed suicide. But supposedly it's not. It was just a sandbag or one of the set designer. Props that got in the shot and wasn't removed. I. Don't know whether Yeah. But but there are the rumor going around that a Munchkin hung themselves on one of the trees in the back and you can see them swaying back and forth. This vicious vicious rumor if not true the Munchkins did a lot of things but there are more focused on hitting on a young Judy Garland, the little munchkin perverts. It with, in fact, proven to be a live bird. Create this wonderful adventure land and they had a lot of live birds released onset though they. You can see them in the movie walking around they're very, very hard to myth and it was simply a bird walking between the trees. Yeah I'm looking at the picture now. Yeah I mean. It could be either I guess could be big bird or Regular Munchkin. Seems to me if there was a bunch of birds onset, it's more likely a bird than a dead body. That's some Munchkin hung himself in the middle of the film sets I might I might be with Tad on this one. Appreciate that. Thank you. Is. Any other knowledge that we're. I want to ask you why was caused nineteen ninety, seven television show canceled. But I don't think you would know why. So what else you tell us about wizard of Oz for those fans out there. Do I think I think somebody who is who deserves a lot more credit than she gets for being one of the scariest character in movie history Margaret Hamilton. As the wicked witch with absolutely stupendous and she was such a dedicated actress on this movie she you know when the wicked witch. POPS into Munchkin land with all of the cloud of smoke. Whether it was a trap door there and she actually ended up getting involved in a pyrotechnics accident that caught her on fire. She had severe burns that caused her to have to leave that for weeks and weeks and Margaret could have given up..

Sports Overload (MM #3465)
"The Maison with Kevin Nation could America be suffering from Sports overload right now? Well, if the early NFL ratings or anything, it could be Thursday when the NFL debuted it was the first day I think in history where the NBA Major League Baseball NHL NFL WNBA and I think tennis and golf were all playing. I think NASCAR ran a truck race Thursday, but people aren't watching the first few games of the NFL Thursday night football game. The first game of the season was down 16% from last year Sunday nights first NFL game was down 28% and it had teams like Los Angeles and Dallas to Big teams and numbers on Sunday games from both Fox and CBS were up and down wasn't really about football. Was it really about sports overload or was it something else? Nobody knows for sure, but I know people were watching the NFL ratings are tad bit concerned right now because everybody was waiting for the NFL to get back and well, it doesn't look like people are watching something bigger is afoot I think we'll figure out soon won't wage.
Stevie Parle Shares His Spaghetti And Clam Recipe
"I am Stevie Paul. I have a few restaurants rather than a couple of restaurants style. A pop-up could joy in west London and I wanted to tell you how to make spaghetti with clams. This is my favorite thing to we think. So so my kids type thing to. The most of the people you cook it for think you'll really some kind of genius when you make it and yet it's incredibly simple. Clemson Volaille obviously is a cool mentally have unbelievable flavor. The juice comes out of clam is just tastes out of this world. Very easy to make you need. Spaghetti doesn't need to be a fresh dried past united of standard. Supermarket blue-and-yellow packet round is fine. It really is fine. But if you see a slow a dried has to take a longer amount of time to cook I always think that's good into look at actually how long it takes cook it from the pack is says your Spaghetti takes like fourteen minutes but something bad instead of ten or eleven it's a nice big spaghetti by the Nice Hodge wieght and it takes time to cook, but it's going to be chewing delicious. Anyway you need spaghetti. Hasley, dry Chili, white wine, and unique clams. Really a peasant can he love clams but equally, if you make has to climbs with like ten clams lesson than that is absolutely delicious and the juice they create makes much wonderful sociopathic. So festival, you're GONNA have everything ready for this dish because once you making it, you gotta move kind of fast. So let's save a gonNA. Do that you people you need a couple of hundred grams of Spaghetti. You need a big hand full of Nice. Salted Wilshire associates the see. Boiling rapidly, you need to finally up to cloves garlic your time you're doing this trying shook the evenly and small, and you need a handful of parsley flatly parsley leaves pig from the studios. Again shops when I'm joking Parsley, why do is I kinda scrunch up into a bowl and then again big shove knife and so slice through scrunched up all of Parsley as finally as I can and then go through it again once at done that in judge Moore says really fine many needle clams anything from ten to betty offense they come in different sizes it kind of normal Palo plans again, this country really good. I. Tend to choose the smaller ones just because the big ones could be a little bit cheery and be not nice. And why do I washed clams under running Warta just to make sure that not gritty. Swish Moore around, and then if they open while washing them, you can throw those ones. Sometimes they it's like only salmon them in those the you get rid off, but they should just be tidy shot Monday, running water and Swish around in a single appeal something for a few minutes just to get them nice and clean 'cause it's a bit disappointing when you you're clams and you get a bit of sand I mean he's not the end of the world who have made you sick. It's just wants tweets and so you've got your big kind of woods boiling. You've got your garlic party jobs. You got some dried chili like crushed dried chili nice specific one just. Don't want it to be crazy hall. So if it's a kind of mild crush drudge chilly but we Quarter, teaspoon of something. And you got your clements watched and then you need a wide hand with a LID. If you have a big frying pan on a lead that fits on that side and my spine has it sometimes, you can use another one use a play or something that's ideal whose what you're GonNa do is you're gonNA. Steam the rams, and if you have the more piled on each other, they will open bat the juice from. The clams and the one which didn't mention you need a couplet glasses of white wine just dry white one needs to reduce. So if you've got the mobile pilot up in a small pan that juice one, Medusa wine and clam juice and oil anyway create the right kind of emotion fear. peste. Does funny because hardly any ingredients is nothing really technically but do but just got to pay attention to the details of can make. something. That is just unbelievably good. So you big votes spoiling your wide hand is now you're gonna put it on the heat and get aw- and you the pastor infest. So this recipe once you've got that stuff prepared it takes less time than takes Cook Pastor. So you can drop the spaghetti into the boiling water if your pan on some olive oil in the Pan and at the garlic and then just when that garlic. In, just a few seconds isn't good glove of olive oil by the way don't be shy it's a few titles swings and then he'd put garlic in just really starts frizzell before it's cooked too much anything you. But in a little pinch of Dr, Chilean you the clams straightway. Why normally then do is tad tossed them around said they get cut sit in this garlicky chilly thing on once clams get hot than they. Have Been. Put in the white wine, a big loss of two hundred Mil something like that, and then put the lid on straightway. A met should be lecturing around and steaming you pestis public been bullying this point for like three minutes and remember it takes ten twelve or something depending on the grand. Pasta. So you pass this boiling. You're Clemson's steaming. You'll Hasley chopped and you just wait a second. I but you just gotTa wait now in drink a bit of your white one and then when you pastor is three-quarters cooks your clams of probably open dictate the lid off the clam ham and then drain your pastor even though it's quite ready look in your clam hand, it should be nice and juicy but really cooking thing you pay attention because if you've got a massive pan and it was really really Hard and you wind might have completely reduced down by now. But if it's a small pan may not have reduced enough year, you wanted to be a good layer of Jews. But you don't want it to be ruled tree and as it reduces what happens is the olive oil, a most us in that mixture, and then you take the pastor drained it. We've just pulled out the with have tongues coming. And even though he's not quite could you into the clam on any says enough liquid that it looks juicy in statement good already that's fine. Otherwise put in a little bit of past awards. Back on so that the pastor is cooking in the CLEM. Pan Important that

And so what I thought is that companies now that they're not sure where market is going in these uncertain times that they budgets for this and that's this all of these developments, wiggins slowdown but it feels like at least when we're like when I'm talking to other industry professionals, it feels like that. There is love optimism One might related might be related to. People being at home more using Alexa more I. think Catholic early say more about this. The other is that more and more people now see the value of vices not being just like saving time for example, but then also being germ-free technology that you're like there was this one them all by. Pico. Voice thing queered they have like the voice enabled elevator of, for example, all of these different applications these. Are. Pretty exciting I mean we're still in the early days regarding this, but I definitely emcee that more and more companies are thinking about voice experiences the go beyond building. Games Alexa. For example, on that go beyond marketing Alexa skills, and think about k. what's what could the health benefits of filling filling voice and Tad's Free Interactions Look like A great point eight is thinking about that when. When you look at voice, you mentioned this idea is works experiment for a lot of businesses and it might have been coming out of their innovation budget and you see some sort of really big disruption that's hitting revenues profits, and therefore discretionary spending. We would see we would normally expect these type of special projects beside line but in fact, what we're seeing is a lot of there being accelerated. This. Very interesting to see an I thought some of that is definitely kind of a self fulfilling prophecy of the industry that you're like, Oh yeah. Alexa has been slowing down a bit at least it felt like this in the scale store Kayla look into other ways that we can build exciting experiences but it also feels like that more and more companies that haven't been in the industry in the voice in the treaty are also looking for like how to deploy was experiences now. Whether it be touch free or it just be for a really convenient way to interact. Catherine Yon just mentioned you. You're sort of background and focus on the consumer. It will bring you in here a when you think about the voice view the voice brew lands and Cova Nineteen. How do you come out on that? Yes. So there are a couple of things I. Love. I love to talk about I. You know there have been lots of reports that have indicated that there's been an uptick in voice assistant usage and that's great for the industry but I think what's even more interesting is that the data showing that people are trying more things more things they haven't done before with their voice assistance and I am definitely seeing this. You know through the Lens of voice brew the engagement with forcetruth emails has been up significantly through You know since the start of the pandemic and March and also the volume of subscriber emails that I get has exploded in recent months. So people are at home they're trying things they're running into issues and they want help solving them or they're just excited that something new work. Then they wanna tell me and they get in touch. So it's you know it's kind of anecdotal but you know I'm I'm definitely seeing more people trying more new things with their voice assistance and I think that's that's really exciting. That's really interesting to me that that you know it it doesn't surprise me that. Because people are all they're using their devices more, they're looking for more ways to do it. They've discovered voice brewed so that it's just another signal that your subscriber base has gone up Frankly because of you know it coincides with all these other things that are happening simultaneously. Yeah no that that's been great and it's also just with the existing Subscriber Base I. can see that you know people again people are at home. You know they're reading their reading their emails. They're just they're they're engaging more and I, think. Part, what's you know from my perspective also really great about this. Is that I am hopeful that this will persist beyond Kobe. So once you kind of open the can of worms of trying a lots of new things with Alexa or with Google assistant that people will now be open to continuing to do these things but trying more new things So. You know all good
Chicago Weather: Isolated Storm Chances
"At O'Hare Today 88 midway 87 at the Lakefront, and tonight it's 81. We've got a wind blowing from the South Southwest and as it has been all day long, and that's pushed that warm air right up to the lake. Friday's blowing at nine miles per hour tonight we have moderate levels of humidity. 80% of our possible son today. How do you be bad? It's been a very sunny July and the term of above normal temperatures has been extended 2 34 days with today's Warm temperatures. We've had 31 days this year and her above 88 degrees, making it the fifth most, uh, 88 degree plus days here in Chicago since 1960 there the other years, the most we had was eight years ago back in 2012. Well that humidity that we were just showing you might go into producing an isolated thunderstorm or to we think the best chance of that will be a za. Wind shifting cool front comes into the area. Tomorrow afternoon and early evening might be one tonight. Not a very high probability of that, and the cloud cover tomorrow will start mammalian the morning, Only 10% of the sky goes to 43 52% known and 6 p.m. And then these temperatures occur. This is a below normal weather regime for the most part, set for Saturday, but those air great temperatures with very comfortable levels of humidity. As Canadian here comes into the area, and that's a nice way to go at this time of the year. Course we wrapped July up after Friday and going to the New month of August this weekend. 15% chances of any rain tonight. 25 or 30% chance tomorrow afternoon. Not everybody's going to see it. And there you can see the result of the cool front passing temperature's just a tad above normal, most just a tad below normal Thursday Friday And Saturday, And there's the below normal daytime average temperature right through Wednesday next week, and then it begins to get hot again. So if you're hot weather lover don't give up on the heat. It's way early for that. It'll be nice to have a little break with these moderate dew points right there.

"Everybody. This is Tad Hill, and I'm here with my co host and life co host My wife, Tony. And we're gonna have fun today. We're going to go into financial fortune cookies. Toni, I know You like to eat Chinese food and I used to, But I don't love it that much. I like sushi, though. You have got me eating sushi. But anyway, we're gonna go into some financial force and cookie going to relate that to retirement planning. We're going to some retirement planning myth busting. We're going to take some e mails. If we can. We haven't done that in a while. And then we'll probably get our two are getting to know you segment where we ask ourselves some goofy question, And then we Answer. Maybe you and I got something else to Oh, you know, you've got a different plan. Maybe we'll see you're so spontaneous. Alright, So let's just jump right in financial fortune cookies, Tony taking away Give me one. OK, this is when hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now, So I think that I would say I would relate that to financial planning by saying it's easy to put off doing the work you need to do to really get a good retirement plan in place. You know, it's going to seem it's going to be well. It'll be well worth in the long run, and and honestly, it's not as hard or as much work as most people think it is particular if they come in, and they're visiting with us, because we have a process that really Takes it step by step and doesn't overwhelm people when they are coming in and visiting with us, and we're getting everything done. Nothing left out, but we're also not just dumping a bunch of homework on them. So they've got so much to do. They can't do anything else. So what you're saying is we're awesome. Yeah, we are also your You're also so don't be lazy. Come see us. You know what? No, This is for real, though, because we talk about this a lot. And I think our listeners it's starting to resonate with him because you know a lot of times, Tony people think Tad and Tony. They sound like they know what they're talking about. It seems like it's common sense and they might be able to help me, But I'm five years away from retirement, so I'll go see him when it's time to retire. And I don't know that I'd call that laziness as much as it is maybe misinformed because if people give us some runway, that's what we call it. Runway. If people will give us 357 years of runway and I'm not talking about people with $10 million you know, I'm talking about people that have worked hard saved their money. You know, maybe they've got a 1,000,000 or two in there for a one k or their IRAs. You know a lot of times, Tony will work with people that have half a 1,000,000 or somewhere around there. And if they'll give us Time weak and really put together a plan that brings together a lot of certainty. I think one of the reasons that sometimes people don't come see us is they're not sure what they're going to get there, Not sure what it's going to be like They think maybe it's going to be complicated. And it's like again not lazy, but just procrastination. It seems overwhelming. Seems like oh, that's a big task. I'll tackle some other day. Some other feedback that I've gotten recently that I think is good for our listeners to hear. Is two things. One is that one person's listened to our radio show or they've come to our class. And they want to come see us their spouse. Whether it's the husband or the wife has done neither of those things and they're like you're kidding, mate. You're gonna drag me in to sit down with some financial people that you heard on the radio. I always make a joke out of that. Because you know, you can kind of tell when folks come in if one of them's really engaged in the other one doesn't want to be there, right. And so I'm like, okay. You know, Henry, you you brought bath with you and bath. You're just like, Wait a minute. You're dragging me into the and she just started dying, laughing. She goes. How did you know? I was like? Well, I just, you know, doing a few times. And and so, so we talk about this some, but I think it's important for people to understand. We're not trying to turn everybody that walks in the door into a client. We're here to help people if they want our help, and they need our help, and we think we can help. I mean, there's times where I meet with people that I don't think I can help him. I'm not the right person to help them. Or maybe they don't need any help. And there's times that, for whatever reason, we're not their cup of tea. But what we are doing is sitting down and helping them think through all the stuff that they need to think through, because there's a there's a lot of it, and it's on ly complicated. If you've never done it before, and you're trying to figure it all out by yourself, and that's what you know people are left even if they have somebody managing their money, You know, they may have somebody doing their taxes, so might put a will together for him or maybe even a trust and they've got somebody it managing their investments. Who's doing the plan? Yeah, Who's overseeing all that? Right? Who's Who's thinking through everything that don't fall into those three big buckets..

Sexual abuse allegations surface in fighting game community
"Once again, not the happiest of weeks when it comes to sports, I'm just. I'm going to be real with the listeners here new age. Not The happiest of weeks we had an ups and downs right like after it. I say weeks. It feels like it's been weeks since our last episode with all the news that broke and. A couple of days. We've basically seen whole gaming community after we did A. Lovely Documentary Review. I felt like on one of the best documentaries I've seen right the smash brothers a lot of fun to do that in watch it in and then to see all of this as like well. That community just killed itself off essentially now. with on I'm sure with you know. Obviously. News is changing every single day. It does look like it's more of the ultimate side. It seems like it's more of the new school. Kids and not so much the crowd, so maybe we'll give him that. Maybe that's just me with my Malay glasses on like i. just want those guys to be good I. Don't want them to be pedophile and shit like that, but that's what gets me right. Is We finish the show? Last episode. I mean it was more so just kind of still talking about sexual assaults around like counter strike in things like that, and like we said like what do we say like with doc? Right is look sexual assault or sexual assault. You never want to see it. You never do, but if in this world there's going to be bad thing so if you have to pick one like. Make it to where it's? And it's just you know whatever I don't WanNa. See Pet of I. DON'T WANNA. See Pedophile. That's where I get emotional. It's where I'll get upset and it's not really fun to talk about and Lo and behold the FCC was like. Hold my controller. Watch this and it's like you. You saw one story news and you're like. shed. That's bad, and then like another one came after you're like. ooh, that's actually worse like I don't understand like. We've gone from words to action all of a sudden. Words are bad enough. And that it wasn't even like you saw one thing, and like okay, and then it was like everyone would tweet like. Oh well, this person knew about it. That person knew about like everyone in the smash scene, and the fighting game seemed kind of loosely knew all of this was going on the whole time. But regard for whatever reason ever said anything or never felt like they were in the position to, or they felt like it should have been handled behind closed doors which I'll say this because I've seen some people tweet out about it Richard Lewis. This is like he's loving. This in the sense of he can finally take shots back at the FCC for how they treated him with illeg, which was awful like. We've talked about on the show. Before the way, the FCC response to outsiders, coming in is like the worst I mean hell. We've even seen it trying to get into some of these fighting game events where they're like. No like you guys aren't exclusively talking fighting each sport, so we can't have you in the FTC event, look. Bad about Yvo. Part of that crowd. Reason no reason yeah, so there's there's that, and this is not though in my opinion, even though this episode is pretty much going to solely be focusing on the FTC, I don't think this is an FDIC issue. I don't think it's a smash. Brothers community issue. I just think this is an issue like I. Think there's something that got out of hand in a group of people it's. The numbers are a little bit more staggering, obviously, upwards of fifty people involved and counting right. Yeah, like I mean it feels like it could potentially be the start and I feel like more stories and. victims will come forward, but. It's a little bit. It feels a little bit more prominent to me. In the in the community of FDIC at the moment compared to others like it's been spread out everywhere else you know like it comes to streamers, but streamers are not. Like their their own, also their own community, right big name streamers, so I guess you could say that that community is also flawed in my eyes, but that's not. As surprising just based on like the personalities and all that kind of take place in Edgy, sees kinda known to be like more like socially awkward in. We've set it on the show like I don't think you have to beat around the bush. especially. This time I feel like. If you got your shots, shoot them right. The FCC is weird. And before that was always kind of I said that as a compliment right like almost like. Hey, take it as a compliment, you guys. Are Weird. You really love your anime. You like your firs-. Your neck owes whatever your I get it. I get it put. It's your thing and whatever right? You guys are happy with it. You're weird, but it's okay. That's who they are. Exactly that's that's who they were. They were a different side of e sports. And now it's kind of like. Oh! No now it's weird. It's like the tone on that Tad different with me now where it's like. Okay I. You know as creepy it's. Weird alike it's a full of a bunch of creeps again. It's not everybody so it's not a blanket statement that we're talking about. Here is just the fact that there's so many players accused so many big name players accused. You saw people like in the. Narrow situation in particular like you saw people like. Telling them to do it, you know that the conversation that was leaked the person at blurred out the name, but they were able to figure out who was drawing a blank on that now, but they were like instigating them in like. Saying like yeah, this is like this is how it is like. This is okay. You know in, so you know. A lot of people knew about what was going on behind the scenes. Hell like these events are significantly smaller. These people are always together when they're going to them. Some of these events are like home style events. Still you know and so It just. Leaves a really bad taste in your mouth, because of not only the the high volume of people. It's the people that are involved. They're high profile individuals in I. Think the fact that it seems like the lot of the community knew it was happening. In worked trying to stop it or weren't helping out,
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drop royal duties and HRH titles
"Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have reached a deal with the queen bringing them a step closer to an independent life in a statement issued by Buckingham Palace yesterday it was announced that the couple will step away from royal duties and will no longer be using their H. R. H. titles the statement also said that they will keep their home in the U. K. but they'll be paying back the almost three million dollars it cost the public to renovate it we reach the B. B. C.'s well correspondent Johnny diamond in London welcome okay lately how are you alright so let's start with what is the significance of taking away the HRH title his Royal Highness her role Highness they're not exactly gonna be commoners now no they're not going to be commoners but I think it is an indication of where they stand in the royal rankings and that is now pretty low down if not outside of the Middle East the members of the family and the queen went out of her way in a very personal statement on Saturday evening here in the UK to say that they will value to members all's what she called my family about the science science they are no longer getting to use the articles is a really clear indication that effectively they are no longer a real oils that goes along with the fact they're not going to carry out royal duties and okay the royal towers they went receive public money they don't live most of the time in Canada Harry will give up on his military appointments this is a wholesale withdrawal from the official site of royal life Jenny do you know if this is mutually agreed upon to have that happen or if it was a kind of punishment I know you think it was a punishment I think the original line DHEA off to Harry and Meghan made that pretty soccer nouns that they wanted to step back that it would be a more often are found arrangement that Harry E. in particular about Harry and Meghan together would carry out some royal duties while still say proceeding at an independent I'm more private life from the song right but I think the contradictions in the conflicts of interest became pretty clear to both sides effectively that neck and couldn't be in the royal family couldn't be working Royals and to be independent right I'm let's talk a little bit about the money because obviously that's a big question the understanding is that the prince of Wales will continue to offer private financial support what does that mean exactly and and will they be cutting themselves off from all public funding the most cutting themselves off from public fund and there's still a question in the security in the palace never comments on security arrangements but I think it's pretty clear that the UK taxpayer is going to be contributing something to ward says security as far as the rest of it is concerned they won't take any public funding for that day to day activities they did receive some for that official duties and I are in those out so that's finished and yes an unspecified sum from Harry's dance the prince of Wales prince Charles he's been financing them to the two year number around three million dollars a year for the last couple of years their own intention to become what they call financially independent do you know what that means yet no doubt and you know it's tough because they will run a pretty expensive lifestyle and they they will need a fairly impressive income they said they will not do anything that would run against the van use all her majesty and that means it's unlikely to see them endorsing handbags in June or Instagram anytime city this is not only the U. K. but the world just briefly what are your thoughts on what this break means for the institution of the world family I think certainly insult need in terms it's quite a serious Norwalk for the role of family I mean it's good news they come to a deal it's good he is does not threats of kind of walking out and getting a tad old into the millions but thanks again hurry and Meghan with big stars they managed to reach people that the rest the role family didn't release in particular young people younger people and members of ethnic minorities you but generally you know a bit more to dismissive of the royal family than perhaps older people in the U. K. and around the world said they were important as part of the reinvention of the refreshment all of the royal family

"Them. On the third day of this leg nonsense fish decided to take a different tack. She decided to confront tat about his unacceptable legs and tell him. What was obviously the right thing to do. Go to a doctor. I've let this fantasy go on long enough thought fish when a fish grows legs. That's what they celebrate. It's something to fix fish didn't want to think about how it could be fixed. She just focused on helping her poor afflicted friend fish found tad under their usual plant having a nap tad fish said not realizing how loud she was talking when she was excited. She lost all ability to modulate her voice. It was something. She was working on tad's starter. Awake. We need to discuss your condition. Fish began as your friend. I cannot let you suffer any fish stopped. She filled is though someone had just spun her up in a world Peul. She watched Ted with big unblinking eyes. Ted was rubbing his own is awake with his two brand new front legs. Oh, what were you saying tad asked? Finally, putting down the utterly shocking legs tad's four legs. Now dangled down into the water around him to smaller front legs to go with his longer back ones. And was it fishes imagination or was tad's tail? Looking the slightest bit shorter today fish realized tad was looking at her expecting response, but she couldn't respond. This was all too much. Or a moment, and then fish regained her ability to respond because she was a talker. It was just her nature. You have more legs fish managed the tad said nodding. I mean, you seriously have legs. I do dad said smiling. Fish did not smile why? She asked. I thought you knew knew what knew we were best friends new. We're supposed to tell each other everything new. We were gonna spend all the days together tad smile. Went away. He looked hurt. I thought you knew I'm a frog. Fish felt like she'd gotten a harpoon in the chest. Although not literally because that would be a very serious emergency situation. But just figure typically, you know, she was devastated and perhaps more than that. She was embarrassed. She looked at tad. He was green he had four legs and a slowly vanishing tale. Of course, he was a tadpole. How would she not seen this? It's not like she'd been born yesterday, although she had been born just a few weeks earlier, but still fish had even noticed that all of the other little creatures in tad's family had also started growing legs they'd been dirtying around her for a week now showing off their new appendages, and yet somehow fish had imagined tad would end up in a different place in the water with her for all the day's fish felt the satis she'd ever felt in her three week life. In general fish, do not cry. But if fish had been an animal that could cry she would have been fighting off tears and every time she went to find words to put to her feelings at the moment. They got snagged in her mouth. Wait. That's that's not a good image for fish. They got caught. No. That's that's not good either. She just couldn't come up with the right words theory, though, unable to cry or speak fish did the only thing she could think to do she turned and swam away. Tad watched her go feeling a weight settle into his brand new limbs. Over the next few weeks. Fish went out of her way to avoid Ted every time she saw him darting through the water she'd quickly swim under a leafy plant or hide behind a rock. She knew this was not a great way to handle things. She just couldn't seem to do anything else until one day many weeks after fish and tad had both popped out of their weekly little eggs in the great pond. Tad found fish. She was in a synchronized swimming class when she saw tad hovering in the water nearby fish forgot, her dance moves and three other fish bumped into her as they were old gracefully. Sorry, she muttered and swam out of formation tad had seen her. There's no use swimming way. Now tad was still tad. But different his tail was all the way gone his head grown and his eyes bugged out. He was a frog now through and through. Fish felt a shiver of embarrassment all over again. Remembering how she imagine them spending every day together. Fish tad said I came to Sam sorry. This looked at Ted with her big. Is you don't have to be sorry. I'm sorry. I Nord what I was seeing. And then I avoided you for weeks. That's not how you treat a friend. It was a misunderstanding. That's all Ted said you were expecting something, and it turned out to be different than you thought. I guess. I guess this is goodbye. Then fish said looking at the frog in front of her goodbye, your frog. Now, you can't spend all the days with me down here. If to be up there, I don't know like playing volleyball or driving a Gulf Carter something to have laughed is that what you think frogs do up their fish smiled. I don't know. I won't be here every day. But I'll be here every other day to visit you really, of course, really. Then tad told fish the story of how he'd encountered geese for the first time up on land. Thanks to fish. He had not hesitated to leap away as fast as possible. The geese quickly lost interest in him and instead corner to human person who is out for job. The story had a happy ending for tad was ensure how the human person had fared had and fish spent the rest of that day together at night. They hugged goodbye. Well, technically, Ted hugged fish and tad darted up towards the surface of the pond on the promise that he'd be back to visit a couple days fish swim back to where families slept. She settled in feeling a new likeness. She knew where she stood with tad. The mystery was gone now she could rest. Right.

"On that very first day tad. Mitt fish fish was swimming in the big school that was her family when there was a great movement in the water, something or things were coming fish and all the others began to scatter darting in all directions. They saw big webbed feet churning in the water making great waves below the surface, so many feet and the loud sound. He says if something Lafayette started entering water, the pieces would fall and hang out on the surface. Ramon before the big webbed feet would churn. An an enormous beak with slice into the water snap at them. Small people's wobbly faces appeared above laughing and show silliness out of nowhere. A big piece of the white stuff came through the water and started to sink towards fish from all her question asking fish new. The white stuff was Brit, and if bread was falling towards her a beak would follow very soon after what fish did not know was why human people loved just throw red ducks. This was a great mystery that fish planned to investigate further, but just then fish scrambled away suis. Coming down as fast as she could missing to beaks as they dipped below the surface and began sparring fish swam down down down until she could slip under a plant and they're under that plant. She bumped into tad tad was sleeping. He woke up and saw fish peering at him with her big searching is fished liked tad right away. Sometimes you just click. You know, fish could tell just by the way tad looked at her that they would be friends tad look towards the sounds coming from the pond surface. Come on fish said let's look tad followed fish, and they swam far enough up to where they had a good few tad's is widen as he watched the webbed feet flashing. Through the water and saw the wobbly faces of the human people and his son winking down in them. And sounds of laughter and birds in the distance tad gazed up at this strange scene. It was all great mystery mysteries did not bother tad so much. He stayed quiet. Are you new here fish AST like she hadn't just been born a few days? Earlier tad nodded, you'll get used to it fish said tad smiled. Just don't go near the surface, except when it's quiet tad nodded out of nowhere. Something came ripping down and a huge beak a different kind of beak one attached to a long neck shot through the water goose fish shouted. Fish and tad swam as fast as they could back down to the plant. These are the worst fish explained like an expert, whatever you do stay away from geese. Did you see all the ducks even swim away as soon as the gays came everyone feels the same way about geese fish went on Ted nodded the rest of that afternoon. Fish and tad's swam around together getting to know when another fished it most of the talking tad was quite but very happy to have a new friend life went on fish got a little bigger tad. Got a little bigger too. They spent their days winning and laughing tad started talking more, and that fish feel special since the pond was in a city. There were always people to look up at during the day. Fish Entat's with look up at their shimmery faces and listen to the sounds of city life, some were very nice. We're not very nice ounce fish and tag like to hear them all because it made them feel a so they were truly living. Fish was thrilled to have a best friend. Life was going to be so good in this pond with tad by her side. She just knew that every day for all the days, they'd be together. But something strange began to happen. A few weeks after fish and tad popped out of their tiny eggs a few weeks after they bumped into one another and became fast friends a few weeks after fish helped tad to understand why he should avoid geese at all costs for the rest of his life tad ru legs. There were two of them. It was like they'd popped out overnight one day. No legs the next day too. Tiff it would've been like growing two years overnight. That's how very strange it was. But for some reason one that fish wouldn't have been able to explain herself. She did not want to ask any questions. Fish felt every question she had fold up inside her and hide. So on the first day of tad having legs fish in her shock and confusion ignored them completely at one point tad tried to comment on them. Hey fish, did you notice that? I have luck fish interrupted pointing within tad look at that. Very interesting thing over there. It wasn't a very interesting thing. It was a mildly. Interesting thing at best. Just a small person has thrown his bowl a bit too high and it had landed in the pond bobbing around possibly lost forever. It was very read. It wasn't very interesting. It was however enough to distract tad from talking about his brand new legs. The next day the legs were longer they propelled tat around bit faster. He seemed delighted to have with fish considered alien and intruder legs. Why is he so happy to have those things fish wondered, I certainly wouldn't be happy. If I grew to noses. I would go find some herbal remedies as soon as possible but tad swam around happily with his new legs. He could hurt forward then swim fish couldn't Dr nearly as well, she. I felt a distance blossom between them.
