"Oh, let's go show points and Michael T O is finally getting that new ferry terminal and it promises to improve congestion and give riders a much better experience. The terminal opens this month, and Chris has details on any given weekend. The ferry line could stretch more than a mile, choking off neighborhoods and restricting access to water front businesses. Park in the boat launch this new terminal. The state's first in 40 years is a third of a mile to the East, which should help with that congestion, but the ferry systems Diane Rhodes says it won't eliminate. It did take some of that traffic off the side of 5 25. But I can't lie to you. It doesn't take it all off. So when we have a couple of our fairy wait, it'll still line up along the side of 5 25. Just not only up to the elementary school there like it like it used to. The Michael T. O Clinton run is the second busiest in the system. More than four million people. Is this very run last year, The current terminal is tiny walk on. Passengers have to share the loading ramp with cars. It was time for an upgrade. The new terminal will have 7 700 ft, long holding lanes slightly more capacity than the current terminal. There will be permanent bathrooms in the holding area and the terminal there will be overhead boarding for walk ons and wrote says the design honors the history of the land. The passenger building itself is built in the form of a coast Salish Wrong house and it is filled with coasts. Sailors, cultural motifs, including carvings from artists from the to Layla tribe. But before this new terminal can open, the ferry system will have to suspend service for about 18. Hours After the last sailing on December, 28th. Both fairies will tie up in Clinton and wait there until the transition is complete. Workers have to remove the navigation guides known as dolphins that the old terminal first. These are the tall, tethered pilings in the water just before land. What will I have to do is just basically send divers down that night, and they will cut the floats. They'll take them over by two, the new terminal by tugboat, and then they installed them on their positions there in the water that should take about six hours. Rhodes says. The rest of the time will be used to train the ferry captains on the new landing. We've allowed a bunch of time for the captain's, too. To practice landing in the new terminal. So once that dolphin is in place, you'll see the vessel going back and forth and back and forth without passengers just practice landing at the new terminal. Rhodes has this advice for travelers during this closure. Anybody who's got appointments on this side on the 29th make other plans or or use the alternate route of, you know, going over the deception past bridge. We know it's an inconvenience. We just hope to that. You know, because it's a holiday weekend, there won't be many people commuting for works that maybe will affect fewer people that way. The one downside of the terminal moving As you will be further away from the waterfront business is you won't be able to grab a quick beer it diamond knot or a cup of Ivers chowder while waiting in line. Unless, of course, you want to run, you're going to be just too far away. The ferry system is considering a food cart in the ferry holding area to give travelers a snack option. The first ferry from Clinton to the new Michael T. O terminal is planned to be the 5 35 PM run on Tuesday. December 29th. The first very out of the new terminal will be the 6 10 sailing shortly after, you know, silly, have never ridden the Michael T o ferry before, but I understand it is kind of tradition, either. You know, go grab a beer. It's I'm in order to get a cup of chatter. It's at Iver's. What's what happens now. Well, though I mean, we'll see if they can get a food cart going in there. I know people that are intrepid. If the light the line as long you might be able to go down there and grab a beer. I mean, once the covert restrictions obviously are lifted. I mean, we can't that that's a no. Go right now. What I think is really interesting. And I wonder what will happen with all the graduating seniors and all the juniors and seniors in high school for prom because one of the really popular places to go take prom pictures. Is that the Michael T o Beach there, Right. You got the lighthouse behind you. And then you have the ferry terminal right there. Well, that's very terminal's not going to be there anymore. So I'm wondering where people are going to go for photos. You might actually the promenade that they're building that goes all the way along the waterfront there towards the new terminal might be the new spot where people go wave watching or taking prom photos as we go forward, so I'll be interested to see What kids up in this area do for that. Because the backdrop has changed. I saw the transition's gonna take about 18 hours. You said yes. Yeah. Okay. If only all the Russians could be that quick, you know? Yeah, well, they've got you know the end water work to take care of it. Then the ferry captains have got to learn how to go in and out of that thing, because it's It's a little different angle, so they gotta practice before they put people on their You know, Safety first. Erin, That's right. Slowly coming up. Next is traffic with your headline. Well, we've cleared this crash That's been causing a big problem..

O. he foiled an alleged kidnapper's attempt to blocked an eight year old child a biscuit Phil restaurant in Greensboro you say the suspect Timothy Friday allegedly admitted to kidnapping the girl because he found her sexually attractive AJ I have their own inner daughter eight year old Madeline enjoying breakfast on the table a day off from school older daughter as to use the restroom the mother was always either all the time I don't think much too too much of it she said you want me to come with you in the eight year old said no okay and are you sure you guys ya Han okay listen there is always go yeah don't ask anyway one battle was in the restroom Mister a one noticed the man next to them peer to be watching Madeline he got up walked towards the bathroom at the same time just as he had gone there model was coming out about them that's when he tried to grab her and that's when Cody intervene and that's when Madeline came running to her mother police were called this give bill of representatives presented her with a good citizen award and free breakfast for year for his efforts that's very cool now we will be able to solve like that because they are free to get sued or whatever the case may be but I can imagine what would happen is a year old child if you didn't act well that's a good news segment of the day and drill is in Owings mills wants to weigh in on the show impeachment thrill toward her of about a total of the economy because I just saw the numbers for the three GB chain GDP you know of food for this quarter and it was down it went from four percent down down to three percent no I'm sorry down to two percent so that didn't change and this policy about the wall okay now I'm hearing that the wall is a is a of flying away the world is that mother nature is taken the wall away did you hear that story in search of the war collapse most yeah can I answer the damn question asked a question about your soul route on a promise to god I'll put him on hold you can answer the question there's a section obviously where the contractor hired did not put insufficient footings and the section came down the contractor will be required to put it back up with appropriate footings all right nobody died it was an error made by a contract we have bad advice from Warner engineers to mention another one of Obama's solar companies went belly up is all about it seems to miss his attention and for so now you're not going to be able to make up the wall so just let me read you wanted to know so so do you have an answer we just question well maybe you can answer I have no idea what you're talking about no because I'm not clear illusions what do you mean by what are you sure okay after what I meant by that was that your your job the president went down I talked to some a contract with generals and there and guess what the our jobs said you can see yeah so in other words once those well those young kids you know the people that that wall is going out of the one is always doing that because his kids right I wanted to come back to it is the fourth quarter GDP in its two point one percent but they were there amazing earnings they came out but let's not forget we're in a trade war with with the tri comes to roll that was a part that was part of the slower growth of the north quarter but again you look at the stock market look at the trade deals that have been executed look at the jobless figures look at the the the weather there are less amount of people on food stamps to roll today than ever during the Obama regime so you can try out one little corner figure and some of those get revised upwards or downwards so we'll see what happens on that score okay well then you know all the why he's got Medicare what did you go live if you like it so much go there live all the news in the morning drive with Casey to reach coverage offerings and savings may vary subject to terms conditions if you run a small business every penny counts so saving up to thirty percent on.

"The focus on LTO, which is the tape format. You guys are using. Yeah. So we have a whole line of LTO. Hey products. We're currently on what's known as the eighth generation of the LTO technology, so LTO eight and we have a line of products that are very popular out there. They're called the M tape and their desktop units. Or kind of shoebox-size device and people use these things onset near set to do things. Like offload, original camera files onset deliver content on T O and just archive completed projects to LTO tape with this two directions. I want to go first y L to yo. And the second is what's the features and the eighth version. So let's talk quite LTO. Oh, I what what's the advantage of tape versus just putting a hard disk on a shelf. Yeah. That's a great question. I mean, this is a question that we feel every day. And basically if you keep data on a spinning hard drive, for instance, one of our milder tech. Drives. For instance, stick it on a shelf, and then go back four or five years later, the chances are that data's not going to be acceptable. And it has a lot to do with the way of hard drives made got platters. It's got motor Scott heads and these things teary-eyed over time. And it's not if but when a hard drive will fail. So that's kind of where this tape idea came in. I mean, I've sold a ton of hard drives in my life. And the new mission here now is to preserve the assets residing on all those drive and LTO tape is by far, the safest media.
