"Bernie and show Sid Rosenberg, of course, Eyes out. I mentioned he's still in the hospital Make it out today spoke to him yesterday and he's doing well. He's getting better is improving, going through a tough time, but he appreciates all the support and love. From our listeners out there, So thank you for that. Frank Moran knows in four Sid Rosenberg were Frank's doing a great job We were talking about, of course. Ah, that this Democratic Association What's it called the Democratic Socialist of America? The D s s o makes you the question, Sydney. I always very powerful group right now. We discuss And as you mentioned the IOC and Jamal Bowman kicked, you angle out. The question. Sydney, Sydney. I always wonder why do Jewish people overwhelmingly vote for Democrats in the face of this? You know, the BDs movement and everything that Bernie Sanders supports. AOC supports. And yet they still voted. It makes no sense whatsoever if you care about the state of Israel, so it's interesting, but obviously and that I'm going to say this that what you just said about that? It will get no coverage in the media. I don't believe it. Will you say Ah, you think it will have a little bit later on? But what did get coverage? Was this Democrat woman? She's running for the assembly, right? She's in the assembly. She's been there for, I guess about about eight years. 8888 to 10 year and her name is Rebecca. See? Right, man? You ever it's been all over the place everywhere. All that was anti Semitic graffiti put on the Democratic Assembly woman's door. And while not even graffiti, a message a message. Okay. And then you can weigh up to Andrew Cuomo was actually upset about. He said nothing about the only anti Semitic incidences that were happening out in Brooklyn when they when they were going down. The Orthodox Jews getting their hats knocked off left and right. Whatever it is, but But this he comments so this I found so curious. So assembly member Rebecca See right gets this This message. This lurid message that includes that's an anti Semetic message. It's described as she's not Jewish. By the way, her husbands do it. She's not Jewish, so it's interesting that she would be targeted. As of the anti Semite. Anti Semitic Vandals would choose her, but okay? So Governor Cuomo speaks out about its speaker. Hasty speaks out about it. It's done. It's literally an international story. The Times of Israel did a story on this literally an international story and the thing I found curious about this, and I'm certainly not accusing her of anything. But the thing I found curious about this is look at what's going on in her reelection campaign right now. What recently happened is she was thrown off the Democratic line. And the working Families Party line, so she's forced to create her own line and run for re election as 1/3 party candidate. Now she's running. The Republicans are running this doorman Loophole. LEAH feet Oh, great guy, but very much in Mr Smith goes to Albany type story, A regular guy John Q Public Rebecca said that he actually has a shot is a chance well, because there's no Democrat right so that legacy rights on ly chance is if people one know who she is, and to know that they have to vote for her on another line, and coincidentally what is the name of the party line? She chooses rise and unite. Very much the kind of thing that would lead you to stand up to anti Semitism or racism or hate speech. I think this story. I'm not saying it's a hoax, but I'm certainly not accusing her of anything. It just seems awfully convenient that this assembly member who no one had ever heard of before and who's now political survival is totally dependent upon people. She's knowing that she's running on the rise and unite party line, not as a Democrat. All of a sudden she's getting worldwide attention. Oh, as she was never heard of before. Wasn't Rebecca Smollett? Yeah, listen, makes it's plausible. It's very plausible because these types of things oftentimes are hoaxes, and you laid out the caves for why she may have done it. The motivation behind me It's not her, maybe one of her supporters, right right right. But because right now, this is one of the most exciting stories in politics that no one is about to talk to. No one's been talking about. The Republicans are about to elect from Manhattan, a Republican for the first time in 20 years, and the only thing that's stopping that is, if Rebecca see right can get enough Democrats district to know that she's a very interesting Frank Rana. Listen, I'll be also curious to see if Governor Cuomo comments on this. Ah, this qualifier. We'll endorse you. If you agree to the City Council people if you'll agree not to visit is the state of Israel. That's a bust out anti Semitism. I'd like to have a well. Governor Cuomo has to say about that right again, and Max rose by them. And as the acknowledges there's nothing in the New York City Council does that that right? They just hate Israel. So I'd be curious what people think of that my conspiracy. Many conspiracy theory, 1 808 for 89222 on the Bernie and such Frank Morano. We're coming right back. Caucus chaos in Iowa

"But first the United States before Americans cast votes for president in November election. The Democrats have to decide who I should nominate their party in the rice against President Donald Trump. Now that happens in fifty states and territories through voting contests called primaries and caucuses. The first race was this week in Iowa and there were at least for two. Is No results extrordinary. There was outright confusion as democratic critic officials sodded quality control if it's to say this is caused democratic anxiety. It's an understatement night. The Arnie the Democrats have spent more than three years questioning the legitimacy of the twenty sixteen election yet now I see the legitimacy of their own democratic process questioned well for more on Iowa and what it means for the shape of US foreign policy. Let's turn to our panel. Doug Bandow is a senior fellow at the Cato Institute in Washington and a former special assistant to President Role Reagan Doug happy to be on Garon. A good cheek is a lecturer in the Department of Government and International Relations at the University of Sydney Sydney and the United States study said. Welcome back to our anger on pretty till we hear. Let's start with this fiasco in Iowa. What did you make of it? Doug Oh it's a disaster aster for the Democratic Party. It's embarrassing. It's an embarrassment for the United States as well and frankly it's a victory for Donald Trump. It allows him to make jokes about the the Democrats across. It makes it very difficult for them to be taken seriously and it creates conspiracy theories within the Democratic Party. It's very bad all around. We're talking about conspiracy theories series momentum appears to be with Bernie Sanders. He's the socialist anti-establishment candidate looks like he's more or less running on power with a Buddha Zhai the former mayor in Indiana but he's over now to win New Hampshire in February but his supporters. Garon I think the party establishment is trying to block. They candidate plausible. Well they saw goes back to two thousand sixteen when we saw really heated primaries raise between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Rick Clinton. We all know how that went end. for a pretty substantial probably portion of Bernie Sanders supporters. This is basically a chance to do the right thing. Now that in two thousand sixteen. They didn't get the result that they wanted so obviously any sort of kind of of issues with with any of the primaries for them will be seen probably probably as a Democratic National Committee's way of Preventing Bernie Sanders from winning the party nomination at the same in time the establishment candidate jibe on the former vice president distant fourth easy damaged goods. Doug Bandow always very damaged. You'll the he's a two term vice president he was in the US Senate for many years. He's someone who has been tabbed as the front runner. He's leading the national polls. You know it's one thing to come. I'm in second you know. I was an odd status. In agricultural status moment western state is really not representative but to come in fourth behind the to Progressive Zan. Dan Buddha gauge is I think extremely damaging. He's moving on to New Hampshire. Where in fact he is behind in the polls you know if he loses both of these you go down to South Carolina the end of the month? You know he's only five points ahead in the last poll if he loses that he has real problems then the conceivable that the other establishment candidate Mark Bloomberg. He's the billionaire former New York. May He's the big unknown he now. It seems wisely was not on the ballot in Iowa but he supported early success for Sanders as beneficial for Bloomberg wagering that it will. You know. Forced moderates lock Barden Buddha Jai to drop out along the way and clear wife or a light swing to Bloomberg grandma so the theory goes and obviously when things come through to be tested in practice we we shall see what what happens. Especially after Super Tuesday but there is this certainly a theory. That really is Biden. Dwindles this leave space. Space for Bloomberg any specially if it comes to Wisconsin in July for the Democratic National Convention and if there is a number of contenders still there is no one would majority there. Might be someone. With plurality Mike Bloomberg could certainly emerge as a kingmaker and and maybe this is the sort of strategy that his companions and that my explain Doug that after this Iowa debacle. He Bloomberg's doubling down on his advertising tossing Spain. But how does he support. Actually Rahm Bloomberg is. I think we'll have trouble getting a lot of personal support on the other hand. He may be seen as the best alternative live. You know somebody who is more centrist orientation. He's smart he's presentable and he has a lot of money he can match any spending from Donald Trump. The problem is he's run as a Republican before he's Kinda cold fish. He's not very personable. He has problems as a candidate. But again word a different world and for Democrats if you're looking for an alternative to the progressives if you're scared of the idea of a millionaire socialist you're representing your party Bloomberg might be the guy in July or he can be the guy to anoint. The person who gets now you've had dealings with Bloomberg. What's the nature of your of your dealings with? The Bloomberg was a couple of years ago bringing in foreign policy people to argue issues. I mean in many ways. It was quite impressive. He sat with us out Bloomberg along with yet a foreign policy adviser and he brought three of us in in my case to talk about Syria. The man is clearly well informed. He understands issues. He's smart. He's engaged. He was down to Earth. The problem is from his standpoint. I think being a presidential candidate is typically ebbing smartening in. That sense doesn't really get you a lot of votes in a way. That being personable empathizing these sorts of things. And he's not really that kind of a character but I was impressed impressed with him. He struck me as somebody who is competent. Who If as president he could very well do a good job depending on what you thought of him on the issues? So I think he'll he. He will make a mark doc in this race. He's a smart guy who's willing to spend tens of millions of dollars you can't ignore. My guests are dot band out from the institute in Washington and Gerona Good. She's from the University of Sydney and the US study center

"But you could do this in a co working space. You can partner up with them. They're always looking for events to throw for their members. They're dying for great content. So if you're going to throw me up with a great workshop shop and some food and some party. This is like music to their ears in collaborate with an organization like we've done a meet up with product hunt responser them meet up in Sydney Sydney and we bought the pizzas and the drinks and all that kind of stuff and we did. A little women are workshop. We spent around three hundred dollars but hey we got a handful customers. Summers added that meet up. That are spending more than that every year. So it's definitely an R. Y.. You're contributing to the community. You're getting word of mouth or getting brand recognition. There's so many benefits the next idea. I absolutely love and I've done this over and over in different ways and it really works. Sometimes you need to have a special uh-huh incentive for your customers to buy during a sale during a launch during a promotions to say for example you are opening up a new course and you want to sell this course and say. Hey I want you to buy this course by the end of the month Anne if you buy this at the end of the month you get X.. As a bonus and you can limit it for for the first ten people that by they will get this bonus. What's this bonus will you can buy a bonus by bonuses for them so let's say for example? I it's ten the people this three hundred dollars. So I'M GONNA spend thirty dollars on each person. And what is his bonus. Let's figure out a bonus at work best with my product. My service or something fun. If you have a digital product I really think physical product as a bonus is a great compliment. Whether it's a t shirt or a mug or some sort of physical book you can go ahead and buy those things and easily send it to your customers a one easy thing that we do to make this procedure very easy. Is We tell our customers win you by email customer support let us know and then we send them a google form. Basically they fill out with the remaining address and their size for the t shirt and all that stuff and then we send him the bonus. Y that way you can even buy them something that might work well with your product or your service. Whether it's a software by the first month you can buy them a gift card literally a gift card. I've seen people that Had Amazon Gift Card as a bonus. And that's incentive enough. Another idea is to have have a contest and say everybody who buys before the end of the month is going to enter contests and they're GONNA win a prize worth three hundred dollars so this could be a tablet it or maybe a playstation. I don't know how does the playstation under thirty bucks I think so. Yeah in the point here is is that people have the incentive to hear. Hey I'm GonNa buy me back and enter the drawn win and this is super simple and if you run around contest online There's a great to king sumo and it's very easy APP it to us to run a contest and do a random draw. I've even seen people say if the program is three hundred dollars products for example. say that everybody who buys before the end of the month will do a random draw and somebody will get the program for freeze visited to get their product refunded their price refunded their payment refunded. I should say and this kind of pushes people say I might win and get this for free. And if they don't win they're like. Hey I love this. Product is good to go as you can see. There's a lot of creative ways you can spend only only three hundred bucks to market your business. I got more on today's topic but before that let me give love to. Today's sponsor support for today's show comes from add skills usually usually our sponsors while you to buy something but what sponsors actually has a free gift for you. So you're good to go on Monday back to the phones we go with Dennis and Earl Illinois either. Dennis. Hi, Sydney, Sydney's was closed. A lot of people. Call me Dennis though. So I understand. But anyway, my question today is. A rule about giving out your wifi password. Lately, we've had some guests home that come predinner cool are very demanding about getting our password, and we don't want to give it out. Because really all they wanna do is sit and play games instead of visiting and I just wondered if there's any way that I can gracefully say no data came to take. No for an answer easily. Easer? What happens when you say? No, I'd rather have us to have face to face time. They go into kind of Laney. Oh, but we want to do this and do that we want to. Time with so and so and that type of thing and it finally ends up being kind of a bad situation where in one situation a younger member came in and said, I'll take your laptop and figure out what the password is that was nasty deal. Yeah. It just got to feel kind of bad for me. Well, I don't blame. It's kind of a yucky feeling. You know, it's a tough situation, especially now because anybody under the age of say thirty this is what they've grown up with right, right? And it's a second nature that if somebody has a question instead of it not being answer somebody said, well, let me Google it or they want to scroll through Instagram or they want to be able to snap their friends picture or whatever may be. You know, it really is a matter of digital etiquette. And it's something that I hope that every generation knows moving forward. But it's up to parents and grandparents to teach the kids that there is a time and a place for everything. And when we are together at the table, or when we are together for a holiday, or even if it's just a family dinner that it should be a no screen time zone. And you know, would I have done in certain events as I've made a game out of it. And what that is the game is that whoever turns the phone over first day become the person that has to do something. They don't want to do. So so maybe for example at a family dinner. Everybody has to take their phones, and they have to turn them upside down and put them in the center. Okay. The table. So you have flowers as a centerpiece, then you have like a ring of phones all around the flowers. Okay. Now, the person's phone is gonna ring. And it's gonna also buzz and vibrate. And you're going to see people get like anxious. Some whoever turns their phone over. I has to clean up the kitchen do all the dishes by themselves and take the trash out. Now, if you're at a restaurant, I do the same thing. But whoever turns their phone over I has to pay for dinner. Okay. So it's a penalty. So instead of you being the bad person. Oh, she doesn't understand. She doesn't get it. She's all she doesn't know. We're talking about you know. That you may find that you've taught a lesson because like, for example, not too long ago. My son came to me. And he said, oh my gosh. Mom, you're so right. I'm like, whoa. What was that? Can wait. Did you just say that? Can you say that again? And he told me that he turned off his Snapchat. Notifications. Any found that he was more relaxed and he slept better. Oh, wow. And so you may impart some wisdom that may not necessarily have been there before, and you they may never come to you and say that you're right. But now you've created a game out of it. And because you game a fight it. That they're more likely to accept it. Sounds wonderful. So you could try that. And it's great. And then what I'd like you to do is to call me back. And then to let me know how that went for you. Vigil. I bet you Denise you're going to be pleasantly surprised at the result. All right. Let's go ahead and do our weekly Epson fast photo photo tip. Yes. Say that if you times, and it's brought to you by the Epson fast photo scanner this week. It's all about your monitor. "So let me just say that I know that there's a lot of speculation about what took place why people pulled. Out of the New York event, why some of us like myself stayed in. And I was in at the point that it was canceled a couple of days ago. And I do hope people will recognize that there was it predicament for those of us like like myself and like Eric who were looking at the. The Pangbourne situation and trying to figure out what to do which was at the point that Pangbourne cancelled the Auckland event, something new emerged so other events have been canceled. But there had always been refunds for people who had bought tickets at the point he cancelled the Auckland event, there was a lack of refund money, which call our attention to the fact that something was off money that should have been kept separately for that event. So that if it was canceled. It could have all been refunded somehow wasn't with we didn't know and to be clear you guys, and I think not just you guys hadn't been paid for some previous things too. So it wasn't just about the people that were buying the tickets, just oh. Auckland. It was Sydney Sydney is where speakers as far as I know. That's where speakers didn't get paid for the first time. And I'm certainly one of the people who didn't get paid and still haven't been anyway. Yeah. And also as a sidebar, that's so that is why I pulled out of the the day of reflection thing and do work I was supposed to host the whole day. But then when I realized that people hadn't been paid for previous things, and I had heard through the grapevine that there was some shady stuff going on. I just said, you know, what let me just not get involved in this mess. And that's right. Which makes perfect sense. Yeah. So I think what I did also makes perfect sense. Which is I looked at the situation. And I said, well, you've got people who haven't been refunded their money for Auckland. You got speakers from Sydney who haven't been paid? And if the New York event comes apart, then it's going to compound that it's going to create new ticket holders who haven't been paid. And so my thought was let's have an event that. Gives people what they paid for. So that we don't make the damage worse. And I certainly didn't sign up for anything new after the Auckland event was cancelled. And there was a failure to repay patrons. But my thought was from the point of view of protecting the fan base from whatever was going on behind the scenes at Pangbourne. The better part of valor was to make the event happen and be successful rather than create another Auckland situation. So in any case that you know, I should also point out that up until Pangbourne gave us a little bit of warning just a couple of days before he cancelled it. He said he was about to cancel it, and Eric, and I tried to save it. In fact, Eric who had pulled out of the event quietly so as not to cripple it. He and I got on the phone with Travis, and we tried to get Travis to gre- to hold the event and to let us rescue offered to work for free. Yep. We would have liked to have held the events. So that it wouldn't cause further harm to people. And I don't know why Travis refused, but he did. So anyway, it got cancelled. And I. I just I do want people to understand that. It was not that anybody was unaware that something was going on. The question was what's best for? The fan base. The movement to the extent that there is a movement is it better to have another event cancel than have more harm. I didn't think so. And I know this is all a little insider baseball for people. So I know you just wanted to get that out. So I'm glad that it is a few of us. Also, we had discussed possibly doing a free thing. And who knows maybe there will be something in the future. If people end up getting stiffed on ticket prices because obviously we want people to get something. And if we can figure it out we will. Okay. So that being said you did do in event with Richard Dawkins as we said the video should be up soon enough, Chicago, what should we expect from this?.

There's a whole bunch of rattlesnakes and fruit, and we had a fly over. I remembered there is like when we went over initially, it was. It was like, okay, your your your gearing up for this like intense fourteen hour plane ride. And then there was another domestic flight. And I was like, probably an our, oh, six hours. It was a cross country flight. Sure. From Brisbane to Perth, where at work for any Australian, any other flight? Any US based flight. They're just like, oh, that's nothing. Whereas you think cross country is like, oh, God, seven hours or whatever. Then that's nothing I was having in Hong about going to New York. What am I gonna do for five hours and thirty minutes. Lows feel as though. Wilshere. Much. Is there a line God, where do you, what do you do in the plane? Do you get to sleep on planes? Like what do you? What's the traveling, masters, lifestyle lake. I do get to sleep on playing. Because if I've I liked the fly late at night or early morning. Okay. And if it's early morning, I don't go to sleep until I get on the plane. Yeah, I've fallen asleep like. From like Chile to fucking Argentina or some shit in. I have not slept in. I was like, I was not washed. And it was like I was looking like a homeless person that wandered in first class, all these businessmen and I woke up like twisted up drooling everywhere. I think I'd probably been snoring around maybe had a little Boehner something. Hardship myself. Screaming and it was just like I woke up, didn't know where it was. Laws. Everybody. Anywhere. See, I'm the opposite. I'm just garbage person. I'm the one you're cleaning up. And my staggers sprayed as she it. But you know what. I never sleep good in hotels, really? No, I don't like this sheets and because the germs and nothing it just that confidence on top is just there to look pretty, but that based on do now. "Your Email season Burgess. And finally, wobbles also known as Adam in Sydney us live in the UK writes in saying, the first point was a bit of a technical one. He said he tried listening to some of our old podcast from before may but couldn't get through to them on the apple podcast up on our website. That's the answer this is we basically we migrated system made some changes in may, and there seems to be a little bit of a problem. So there on that one, we're, we're looking into it and thank you for that does. No. The second point wobbles wrote in about was about London's tube system is quite long. Factual thing that power phrase little. He said, the London tube was designed to have engineers spread our along each platform, so that different stations people board in different places. However. In Sydney Sydney's airport link has identified platform designs along is route. So there are big delays every morning when people tried to enter exit from the same place, never build bottlenecks into your system silly and wobbles fine. A point was probably the most important one. He said he just started following me on Instagram and says that my running is very good. So thank you. Can of the people do you want to do this. He also asked them if we could read out also media details. So I'm only onto, I'm at j Templeton. Nice and easy. Is anyone else want to volunteer? Their personal lives. I'm also on Twitter at Matt. "Nine. We only got stop twice. Wheeler filled with Coors intoe. He did. He did that one time. I was on vacation in Hawaii with my family, and he's he had a deal with Budweiser. So I go back to my room and I go to open the door and the door won't open and I'm push and push and push. I finally get it open enough to slide in. He filled the room with cases of Budweiser, was their friend. Would he tell you that luck? Here's the schedule. If you're going to race and you wanna do the season, then you have to compete for the point. So then they're going to be lime rock. And then next they're going to Brainerd. Then next they're going to wrote Atlanta, then they're coming out the Laguna Seca. It's it's, it's a schedule and if you miss, if you miss them, you won't get any points. Thus you won't be in the running for the championship. Would he just say, I can't run during these months or during this series, and then I can. I can make movies after it. Well, we blocked out the schedule, but. It didn't always work Franklin. If you go back in history, there's some racist. He had the miss, but very few. And I just it just gives me chills them. I spy knowing that those cars are sitting over there. You should go. When we're done here, you should go over to the other shop and look at his cars. I, it would be fun because I haven't seen them in a long view. Did you get out to the track? And I would go out all the time. It was really fun. We used to go up on fly together to the races and he particularly liked to go to lime rock and Sears point just to practice and I would go up with him. It was really matter of fact, there's a story in the book I was with he and Sydney Pollack. They were doing movie called absence of malice together on, and we flew up with Sydney Sydney was a pilot Sydney sat in the back. We had pilots in the front and we were sitting there. On our way up to Sears point and Paul decided it'd be good idea to barrel roll one thirty five in a Lear jet. Yeah, and it was. I said, that's this isn't a good idea because I knew drink Adam. It would read like this. Newman Sydney, Volokh, and guest. Plus one plus one, but he so I turned my back and he goes to the pilot. He winks at them and the pilot. Three hundred sixty degree barrel did a barrel roll jet with us holding drinks so that when we went upside down, the drinks stayed the liquid state in the collides. The Sears point is Noma right? That's up in wine country up there, which is cheese. Remember what year that would have been? Oh, God was whenever we did absence a mouse meetings, we'll look it up. Have out. So maybe. "I literally didn't know I couldn't make a prediction which way it was gonna go. In fact, I think I talked about it. I believe it was architects London last year. They might have been Sydney Sydney. Yeah. I said there was something about that show the show coming out and there's a mechanic in the show that I don't know if it's going to work. And was it was the nomad being silent? It was the couldn't say it at the time. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Well, that puts a lot of work on time. Like, yeah, we have to like really figure out like how each sound needs to convey, meaning needs to be a sad sound or happy sound exactly. Yeah. Let's sound. Satis out. It's usually just like strings. Like going as like. Yeah. The happiest sound is like a squeaky toy is like. Anyway. So you guys took a break and now you're back? Yeah, we broke to do camp camp and now no meds coming back. Why don't you just say it was the end of the season just because it was only six episodes British. It's not do that. We, we do things the proper way who, yeah, we say he's fine for season. We say pediatrician, what's the longest gap? If someone disc, six fit something visit accepts odes. If that long, it's a lotta. What do you call a season series? What do you call a show show? But like if there's a series finale like the show is ending series finale, but that could mean season as well. Yeah, because here we have like season finale. The final episode of season series banal important, man? No, there's a season finale of camp camp. It's not the series. Finale shows only go like to serious and then stop. So you. Being the real, you're ready for it to end every time and there's eight years between those two series. Exactly. It sure has come back yet. I think it did. I think it was bad. She would know latest one's is Luther. They have such big breaks and the they'll come back with like two sets and then go off what he's Luther also like alva- being a bad s cop who don't give a rat's about the law really pin because I wouldn't. He says, I don't give rat's. Nine didn't say that I'm a cop who doesn't give a rat about the law. Well, It no, was it British. was just insane. Suicidal policeman kill. He's great for James von list's. Oh, he'd be amazing. Kills mental deli. People are like off that Ronca like. People who know him no. Magic tricks, mental mind readers, right? Yeah, it's like that guy. He's to go on Oprah and he would like try to. He'd be a medium. So he would like kind of just like feel people out and be like, oh, you have someone you lost recently and then like start very general and then get more specific and be like, it starts with, I wanna say j. and ties, yes. And then he just like keep honing in on that great moment in Luther. Well, he knows the guy did the mud up. He has no evidence, so he tries to frame the guy. So he he puts on a glove, punches the guy in the face in public in the street with a hood down, takes the blood off in like he just has a fistful of blood. And then he liked plot, say the scene that's Lithman doesn't seem like a legal police work. The rats. In the episode, you just save. Yeah, wanna watch like the, you know, you don't know who the killer is. We'll know when he punches him in the face. Is the first thing should in every episode is the killer. I think. We're going to show you the end of the episode of suspense. You see you kill the. Finding out how Luther is gonna frame them. "My point would be like in designing itinerary, maybe don't be like, okay, I'm gonna do I'm gonna fly into Sydney enough one day there and then go to Melbourne, and then come back to Sydney later and all this. If Sydney's destination, give yourself a good for days at least there to start off because you're not going to be your best self for at least the first day or two. I do like the idea of starting in Sydney, the alternatives you start Melvin, but this is a podcast about Sydney Sydney is a great entry point. It's one of the biggest cities. It's one of the most cosmopolitan. If you are used to California city like San Francisco or LA, you might see some some Larry's in the way that Sydney's on the water, you know, it's healthy. It's fit. Everyone seems to be a surfer chef hybrid or something. And there you can take ferries bouncing from beach to beach that are all part of the city proper. And that's very much an experience there. And would you turn sending your melon? Well. Well, I would only ever start in the city that you're airline flies you into two subs point. I think the point is a good one that once you land after that long flight. Yeah, stick around for a few days because we're talking about Sydney, I would say, I would say this assume you're going for two weeks seem this is the beginning of a holiday. That's gonna last two weeks, but also don't be so naive as to assume this is the only time you're going to be down there. So don't be overly ambitious with the way we travel with all the new flight itineraries that are coming out and all the competitive air for that means for the consumers. It's so much easier to get to Austrailia in New Zealand than you think it is. It's just as easy to get there would be to get to Rome these days, and I'm not exaggerating so book yourself for two weeks, but don't be overly ambitious, and I would say Sydney should deserve. I would say Sydney gets four to five days of that. Wouldn't you want to do it? I don't know. I just did that overnight to pretty beach house up on the central coast. It's about an hour and a half away and it was outstanding. It was one of those like resorts of a lifetime kind. Places it's within a national park has a lot of rich original history. There were stones with rock carvings just outside the resort, and you get beaches to yourself, and it's an hour and a half from the city. Right. Sounds like a great place to where off some jetlag. No. Not not. No, I agree. No, this place pretty amazing. I, I recognize Linda Sydney yesterday in Sydney in a black book too. And also I'm sure we'll get into the podcast. There's all types of places you can access in Australia, pretty beach house being one of them or that type of experience being one of them, they can hop to from Sydney to we'll talk about. Yes. So maybe we knew stay in New South Wales, right? That is the state that Sydney is in. Okay. So you start out in the city itself or a couple of days, but definitely get whether it's to the coast to wine country depending on what your interests are. Right. But there's some mountains, mountains, there's gorgeous like since I don't know the area around cities all about nature. Right? And like I said, everyone's so active and outdoorsy, they really prioritize that. So there's just a ton of things you can do. You don't wanna have a century vacation, right. Okay. So you compared it to California cities? Maybe Vancouver in the center onto taped ocean. Fair enough. How am I thinking about my time in Sydney, what is the character of the city? Like if you step back away from a so the way we always tend to characterize it mostly because this is the best way to characterize it is Sydney is that quintessential lifestyle city where you can sort of hate to use this phrase but live your best life. The food is that much fresher that much better. The sun is that much warmer, the beaches are that much cleaner the urban vibe and sort of the cosmopolitan Urbani trend set is still there..
