"Dad for me built a route for me in his family been visiting on Sunday mornings. On the way out the door, Bobby leaned over and he whispered in my ear, he said, well, John, please pray for my wife. I said, I have been and I will continue. And in just a little bit, here she comes and she looked at me and I could tell she was being crying, she said, I need to talk to you. I said, certainly. And I said, anytime, I said, right now, she said, yeah, right now. So I had brother clay coming in here and getting this Debbie and so we all went over there in the side in the fellowship home. And I did not know this about her, but she was raised by an orthodox Jew. And raised in a Jewish family and observed the Passover and all of that. We discovered and she told me she said, I've been really listening to all that you've had to say. And she said, I feel like if I go any further with this, I'm turning my back on what I've been raised in in my Judaism. And I said, no, no, you will never turn your back. On your Judaism, if you trust Jesus Christ, and I went from the Old Testament. We looked at as F 53, she had her Bible there and we went into Isaiah 53, and I said, look at this, what your Bible says about Jesus Christ. He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for iron equities of chastisement of our peace, was upon him and he did all this for you. And then I went into the New Testament about he was your guard, manifest, and he is your Masai. And she sat there and she listened. I mean, she was hanging on every word. Debbie lab both were back and forth with her and I said, I said, it's so very easy. If you would trust Jesus Christ, long story short, she called upon the name of Jesus Christ. Right after services holding the guest say and her husband is what is he in some kind of rehab? And they're not able to come on Sunday nights and all, but you pray for what was her name? Sydney. Her name is Sydney Smith, Barbie and Sidney Smith, but Sydney is a converted junior. I've always wanted to lead a due to the lord and had the opportunity this afternoon. And that's good news. From the far country of what the lord did in her heart today. Let's take our bibles and turn to second chapter number 6. So they can create the chapter number 6. Just a few verses of scripture that the lord has dealt with my heart about just of late in a matter of fact, in my personal Bible time, I ran up on these verses and it's not converses that I was in read normally reading, but something I was looking at led to these verses and I've read these verses and when I did it just kind of caught my attention to my heart, I went back and reread them and just try and like Zach told us this morning that when we study our Bible, we need to not just read a verse and go on to the next we need to stop and we need to meditate upon what that verse is saying to us and how it would apply to our lives and I was doing that with these three verses that were going to be reading tonight and I pray that they impact your life just as they impacted my life and pray that they're working your heart as deep as they have in my heart. This old stand on the rating of God's word in second print his chapter number 6 I'm going to begin this will not be the last time that we deal with this. I want to stay with this subject forth as many times as we need to because I feel impressed of the lord to do so and want to try to want to try to equip your life, educate and equip your life in the subject that we're going to be dealing with tonight. And I'm going to simply entitled this this thought personal evangelism, personal evangelism, and that'll be the heading of this series that we're going to be dealing with and what we're going to deal with in a more common phrase is so wind. How to lead somebody to Jesus Christ. How do you personally take the word of God by your knees with some one and lead them to the lord Jesus Christ? I believe we fail as a church a lot of times to train people in this area, and this is one of the most, as I was preaching this morning the most important thing for anybody's life is for them to be saved and know that they're safe, but we need personal workers that can sit with somebody and show them from the word of God different things from the word of God just like we did with the Sydney this afternoon being able to go into the Old Testament show her some things from the Old Testament her own Bible and show her what the word of God says about Salvation, things like that. But I want you to look with men second chapter number 6 to 9. And we'll look at some things and we'll just kind of introduce and begin this thought tonight and then we'll go from there and see what God will do for us in our hearts tonight. Looking second chapter number 6 and we may read this a few times just to get these words into our hearts tonight it says we that's all inclusive as every one of us have very first word includes every person if you're saying man. That we include you. We then as workers together with him, he's talking about Jesus Christ. We, all of us in this room tonight, as workers together with Jesus Christ, beseech you also that she received not the grace of God in vain. Now that's a powerful statement if you stop and consider that right there. If we're saved, we have received the grace of God, and he said, look, don't be of the kind that would receive the grace of God in vain. Don't be the kind that's greedy with Salvation and just get saved and that's the end of it. He said, don't be that way in your life. Then he emphasizes what he's talking about in verse number two for he said I've heard they in a time accepted and in the day of Salvation have our secret V behold now is the accepted time behold now is the day of Salvation not only does a loss person need to realize that we who are saved need to honestly understand that today is the day of Salvation for anyone that's lost. Any person who is lost without Jesus Christ, this moment, this hour, this day is their day of Salvation. Now watch this.

"Got some good news to tell the church this morning brother Howe's sister Sue joined the church and normally I don't I stay right in here when someone joins the church and usually one of the last ones to go and welcome a man, but I just felt compelled to go to the back door after the morning service, which I did. Working the machines that the demonstrated with what is a framework framework. Lapdog is a project that he's allowing you to really work and customize your laptop make it upgradable by above average user. Probably but but by user okay. One of the things was many laptops today. Is you can't touch you kind of great him. You want to put more memory and the newborn. You can't do anything with it. So this laptop. It's trying to be a fully figura bottle machine where you can come and change the pieces on a greater pieces and changed the presser later on so you will be able to have this laptop for a really long time. What impressed me about the side of the fact that you can build old at is the fact that price. Wise west not unreasonable. It was actually pretty reasonable. I mean i went and built one man. Del i five with sixteen jacobites aram. I mean nothing but he was at on the dollar machine not much difference to what dell or. Hp is going to cost me. So i hope this is the future for is i know. We are going to do something fun a few times per year. The productivity cast team comes together to share with you a few software products and services that we know or use in our personal productivity systems or with our clients systems we call these productivity apple palooza. And we do this. In three rounds with each of us taking the opportunity to explain the tool to explain the tool and why we believe it provides value to our productivity. Impossible yours with that. Here's productivity apple palooza fourth addition and so for round one ding ding ding art europe. Geez why do i have to start okay. It's alphabetical see. This is the curse of being the so anyway. Sorry gustavo when we started to look at apple's around for i'm like okay. I got to find something. That's good and i realize the have something that use all the time it's called journey and it is a journaling app now. A lot of people do journaling in whatever their organization organizational tool that they have is some do one note some do notion i use journeys for a couple of reasons one. It's available on the web and on mobile so you can journal into it whenever you one second you can do images into it as well. Stack multiple images and third. It has its own pin codes. So that your information is protected and one of the the struggles with journaling is if you want to be honest with yourself and journaling you wanna be truly honest and open. Well then you're hesitant like will wears the stuff going who's gonna see. Where's the access to it. And i just like the user experience the consistency the availability of the app multiple platforms. It's just a nice way if you're trying to do that mental dump and it's not really organization. It's just get this out for the day. I found that's probably the best tool out there for me. There's a couple of others day was another one. Didn't really care for it. But journey to me is the one that i recommend. I used journey. Also and i do that first. And then i just copy and paste that over to my reference system and so i keep it in both places and it's a little bit of extra work and i've thought about how to automate that using some scripting and i really do like journey. I liked the ability for it till on mobile especially auto detects whether you're sitting whether you're walking.

So what is our first technology headline this assume allows you now to raise your hand and it will recognize that your hand is it will mark as you are raising your hand. Same thing with the thumbs up that is really cool but more cool is the fact that they were even giving you the chance to separate configure what you want to come up or not. You went to activate both features or none. That is fantastic. I i know that you and i have tested it out. And it's fantastic to be able to see you know you raise your hand on the ipad and triggers the the raised hand and and then of course turning off the thumbs up icon which For the most part is not really the most useful feature If you don't use it a lot of the good there Next up we have a trello has introduced new plans and as well as a more features for more people So in essence trouble recently announced that they have Kind of removed revised their plans. And so those folks who are in a free plan our innocence getting a more things. So they're getting more power ups basically. They're getting unlimited use of power ups even though some of those power ups or premium power ups you are also getting access to more of the The numbers of automation that you can run utilizing butler when you upgrade to. You had a topic that you want us to talk about related to convenience and so can you explain to listeners your experience and what we're going to talk about today sure i was a late adopter smartphones. I didn't have one for a long time. When i was reading about how great they were and i asked the question. Why do i need us by phone. And my initial observation was that the smartphones at the time which was the early two thousands mid-2000s. I argued that there were no better than a knapsack of gadgets safe. I had upset with me. And i carried it everywhere and it had a a on. Pda a gps a recording device to record audio and record a video camera the smartphone which combined those elements into one. My argument was that that wasn't more productive than my knapsack of gadgets. It was more convenient and just because they were no bundled into a single device did not make people more productive against capital p. productive although the the convenience could not be argued with so all the time that the argument was resolved. Because there're lots of apps that came out in do do do do time that that had multiple connections between the different functions that never existed before so that the that that question was settled in my mind but i still thought of retained this kind of luddite point of view which is just because you can do something in a place or a time..

"Welcome back everybody to anything but idol. Andre sydney smith joined here of course by augusta dowd and we are going into the second half of our show to cover the productivity technology news this week. What's our first story gustavo. Well since we have been talking about meetings let's talk about sumi seems completely appropriate but gains focus mode. And it's going to help reduce the distraction in bertel bathrooms. You know a goal atlantic Earlier earlier today talking about great now we are all going back to school remote schooling. It's almost been banned in every state in the united states. At least but what we have seen is cases or cases or cases of covet in this kits so really. We're taking away from those parents. Were concerned about it or were trying to or have the possibility to have you know this remote environment. The remote environment that set. It's still interesting to see ghoul meat and sume trying to continue improving in this. Because i think what we're going to see a day as the school year progress is a hybrid model. Some of this. We are going to be times where we are going to send a skull. They're going to be times that they are going to need to be in a remote environment. So it's good to see that they are continue working to these and trying to make the kids especially little kids. You know. more engage into classrooms. Yeah i can see this being useful even in my own adult workshops online where the folks who were who were in the learning environment. Don't wanna to be distracted by somebody else. Potentially looking at them while they're trying to learn at this it's a little Discomforting and i can see. I can see this being very useful. That they can see me. They can see themselves They can turn off their own. They can So folks know when when you were in zoom you can actually turn off that sell. You say you want to see yourself at all on your still on camera but you just don't see yourself because while in normal times you're not when you're sitting in a meeting your mirror sitting on the table you're not looking at yourself. You're looking at a gun to you. Some of brain with travel with mirrors. While the you we are the rarity we are the odd the or the rarity and Most of us do not normally sit around with mirrors but like the it's disconcerting and it leads to more zoom fatigue and so this is one way to be able to reduce that and Just for those who are not aware. Please don't read the comments on these sites when you go to macrumors dot com and you get into the in. People are just nasty just each other. Kosh people don't need to be so mean to each other so i just. I think that this is a good feature. There's a clear case for being utilized. And if you don't want to utilize it as a host of your zoom meetings don't but for in education environments and those of us who who are in the androgen environment that is the adult education environment..

"Comeback everybody to anything but idle embrace sydney smith joined with gustav paneled for the second half of our show and so gupta what is our first productivity article. This week. I broke the article. Come from relocate magazine. And he's the will being support boost on productivity according to a survey and to serving the uk and he's showing how the people in the survey being part of companies who are putting health and wellbeing ahead. An how they have found an increase significantly decrease in absenteeism. An increase on retention. That we know are two of the biggest expenses any corporation half you know especially if staff retention and it's problem that we have been talking and discussing now that we are coming back or not coming back. Well well being is a priority. And even this survey is dawning. The uk things up rarity anywhere is a priority. Here is a bridge in europe. Surprised in asia where is dot will being and water use organization are going to do with dot just today. I was reading another article that we're note quoting that about a ceo in seattle who lower his salary so he could race his people salary to i think the number was fifty thousand a year starting point and the people after six years. He's still in. How is business house tenfold. And and how he's employees decide to give him a car a suppressant on recognition for old. It he has done for dirt life. So that's bar will mean that sparked a tree near people. Well that's part of making people feel that they have something to come for undercover with fantastic. I think the article makes a lot of really good points and again mental health and wellbeing of the people who are working for you is is really tantamount. I mean you know like It you can. You can argue that you know. That prophet is the ultimate aim of the of the firm But at some point you need to also understand that there would be no business without those individuals who make the business run and no matter how automated your business can be. Humans are fundamentally a part of the business the concept of business and so we need to make sure we take care of them. And i think we're starting to get there. We're starting to understand that as a fabric of Enlightened society and i hope that we continue to keep moving in that direction. Her next article is ink. And it's about bill gates and why or he's reads before bed and define suggest judicia to this is something that is interesting for me. Mostly because not because bill gates i have always been. They could've taken bill gates out of the article completely. It's kind of click bait that they put his name in there but for me reading. It's apart and actually last week. We talk about parents. And that's one thing we did for a kid since we got them. I kindle and kindle well because a kindle can allow you to read so. I don't need to be worried about them. Taking it to actually encouraged take the kindle to bed and read but what that produce is that. My kids read both a lot. Why because they know it's one it's allowing bit to..

What's our first article to discuss so the first article i don't know if he's about productivity or not but i. I decided that it was important to bring it up amazon lounge amazon pharmacy last week. A now you can go and bring your prescriptions there. And i don't remember nine three or five years ago when basically cvs took the world or at least in the united states by surprise what making some partnerships and basically to even target pharmacy. Out of business. I on other things and it is really interesting amazon for the second or third time taking a job to they've prescription world. You know this is not the first time. They did a partnership with Were buffet and before that didn't resulting too much or at least not to the public. And now they're coming into but your prescriptions. They will ship it to you. And i was big in prescriptions last week when this odd came i say you know what i would love to end my amazon books in there. Don't need to stop into the do the line you know getting in their charter directly to my say account and carry on so i really hope that amazon can do this right so we start. Moving our prescriptions of other given that said they insurance company work exclusively with syria is going to be a little challenging to begin with. But i'm sure that will adjust. Yeah this is really interesting. So amazon purchased pill pack Several years ago. And i'm wondering if this is the same service or different than pill pack Now if you go to pack dot com you see. It's pill pack by amazon pharmacy. It seems like amazon. Pharmacy is slightly different. Maybe a little bit more full featured then pill pack. But i'm not sure it may be the same service so for those of you who may be using pill. Pack be mindful that amazon pharmacy is now on.

That's about where we are Question amazing personality. He was for the majority of wars. He was a royal navy. Captain i think he got his his. He was as captain the beginning of seventeen ninety the end of seventeen ninety four. I think beginning ninety five. And he became an admiral with fourteen so between seventeen ninety four and eighteen awesome to ninety five nation forty and he was a real navy captain. You'd have thought that makes him fairly insignificant in political terms. It really doesn't He managed his way in to the confidences of people. Like pit henry. Dundas lord melville who was probably his prime patron and he groups all sorts of bizarre places diplomatic missions to russia and the middle east for example and slightly underhand things like submarine warfare against the french. And he's proposing plans for campaigns plans. This actually come into being such as.
