"You've been injured in an accident, call Sweet James. I'm Jamie West. Good morning, Mike. Broom head. Good morning, Jamie happy Monday. If there's such a thing. Well, I know a lot of people are having Monday's today in a variety of ways. Yeah, in more ways than one. Absolutely Thanks, Jamie. It is happy Monday. Everyone it it's the mic Broom had show here until noon. Little program. You know, Here's what's going on. Steve Hooper, you may have. If you listen to the show, you may have heard Steve on the show. Quite often. Steve is a professor at Embry Riddle School of Intelligence and security. But he is also had spent for over 30 years with the FBI, including a long stint here in Phoenix. Working with the Joint Terrorism Task Force. We're going to talk intelligence gathering 9 11 right around the corner. How it's being impeded or affected with Afghanistan, So it should be an interesting conversation. And I am anxious to hear what Steve has to say. He's one of those guys that's been around the intelligence gathering world all of his life. He's worked internationally with the FBI. Now what he does with security and intelligence at the college. It should be a fascinating conversation at 905. I hope you can be here. Start off this morning with what? Our attorney general here in the state of Arizona reiterated about vaccines that employers have the right to mandate vaccines in their company. I am a I am a very big, personal rights person person. I think that you have a right to make choices, and I am also a pro business person. To the N degree. I I think that a business owner, it's an extension of a person and I believe a business owner has a right to do what's right for his or her business. And if they want their employees to be vaccinated? I don't know how you can prove that with HIPAA laws. I don't know how that works. Unless you just say Unless you prove to me you've been vaccinated. You can't work here without certain exemptions. Um, I think they have a right to do that. No shoes, no shirt, no service. They can do business with whoever they want, and we'll see now. That doesn't mean that I think they should. There's a difference over and over again. I've said to people you can't mandate. I don't believe you can mandate masks or mandate all these other things. I don't believe in mandates. There's a difference between what you should do and what you must do. And that's why in legal terms in documents, and that's why you have a lawyer look over a contract. There is a huge difference in the legal word between the two words shall And must or May and must, if it says must Or it says, Shall you have to May is a different word altogether. So between may and shall and so that, you know, in a contract sometimes you know you shall be paid. If you we fire you. You shall be paid for six months salary or you may be paid for six months. Salary means you're not getting paid for six months. You know, it's just it's a contract. That's how it works. The attorney general says private businesses can mandate the vaccines. There is a difference between private business and governments and what you can do. The FDA is granted full approval of the Pfizer vaccine, and I don't know how much of a difference this is going to make. To be honest with you. There were a lot of people that were saying this is an experimental drug. It's an experimental drug. And we heard that pushback from people that are anti-vaxxers. But now that it's been approved by the FDA, do you think that those people that we are going to drop the experimental One of the things I was going to do this morning, and I forgot to, um, is to push out. I'm gonna push out accurate information because there's a lot going on on both sides and the emotion of what's happening with Covid 19. And, um, I was watching television this weekend. My mom is in town. We are watching T V and there were commercials that would come on periodically, And I'm sure you've seen them for a multitude of different drugs that they sell you for everything from heartburn to anxiety, whatever it is prescriptions. And during those commercials, they always have to list the side effects. Now, these are FDA approved drugs. And so I thought I should look this up because I'm on a couple of different medications for high blood pressure. And I wonder what they say The side effects are for those drugs. I've never looked them up. I don't know of any drug that's approved by the FDA that goes without any side effects whatsoever, or any kind of a warning on the label. So you know that argument back and forth about Should I get vaccinated? What about this? We've heard about this. Nothing is perfect. Is it better for you or not? Is it more likely than not? That's what I went with when I got vaccinated. But again, I will never tell someone else what to do or how to do it. But with the FDA approval now, the I think the same groups of people that are saying that the vaccines only experimental, it was rushed. All those things that happen, um Don't think this is going to convert them. I don't think a lot of them Some will. Some will say now that it's FDA approved, I'll get it. But there are going to be a lot more employers that wanted to mandate the vaccine for their employees. This is my prediction. That now that it's been FDA approved, they're going to say to their employees. Now it's been approved by the FDA. But there's gonna be a lot of people that don't trust that. Hey, Steve, Did you happen to catch any of the president's rally in Alabama this weekend? No. Did you see that? He was there? No, I didn't even see was he had a huge huge rally. It was. I mean, it was mad at Thailand had a rally. No, the former president, you said the president. The former president. I'm sorry. Well, I thought you I said rally. I thought you knew exactly who I was talking. No, I I I thought that in my head I was like, Yeah, that would make sense. But he did say President. Yeah. I'm sorry. Yes, Trump Trump had around. No, I didn't see his rally. What happened? Um, he told the crowd. That they should get vaccinated. And they booed him. I'm sure that went over. Well, they booed him. Trump got booed. First saying you should get vaccinated. So this is the part..

Two. Not my email address. Oh, and I can't and most of them are coming from Like Bruce, or address to Bruce at a o l a dot com But that's not your A O l E Mail address. I don't have any ale. Let me first of all explain the way email works. Email was designed many moons ago, and it was designed without any eye towards security. They didn't know about spam. They didn't think ahead that there might be spam. And so it's very easy when you send email. To forge the sending. Company. The receiver can't be forged, but it can be hidden with the BCC. You've seen this blind carbon copy and the one address. It's accurate. That you see is the top line address. So in other words, somewhere in that email is your real A O l address. I'm sorry. It's not a well your real address, Bruce. That Bruce today. Oh, well, you're seeing what that tells me. Is that the spammer? Is sending emails to every Bruce in. They're probably very large database of email addresses, and they're all in the blind CC. So you can't see him, but they, but then they put Bruce today well dot com is the top line. That's what it looks like. It's coming to it for an email to work. It does have to have somewhere in there, either in the main to address or in the CC address or in the BCC address. Your address has to be there if you looked at the headers You know, in email programs. You can look at the headers which will tell you all sorts of stuff. Your address is in there somewhere. But honestly, Bruce that spam the fact that it's addressed to Bruce a day will come pretty much confirms that that spam there maybe 10,000 other addresses in the BC sihf. Stuff. Actually, you can't see the BCC. That's the whole idea. So you can't even see that the headers, But I guarantee you your address is in there somewhere, but just throw it out. It's junk. Ignore it. And if you keep getting it, you could make a little filter that says, if it comes to you know what you could say if the two field is anyone in a well dot com I don't want to see it. "Is brought to you by Sweet James accident attorneys in an accident go to sweep Change dot com. Next chance to win in about an hour. 3 20. All right. We mentioned this UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies Poll, which gives Gavin Newsom overall just to 46% approval rating. In fact, only 22% approve of how Newsome and the state government are overseeing the vaccine distribution. That is probably the biggest grievance right now among anybody that's worked up over the pandemic. Is the slow pace of vaccination in the state. And wouldn't you know story after story that we discovered today in this one I'm looking at right now is from Cal Matters. By Ben Christopher. It's all excuse, making Well, it's a very diverse state with 58 counties in a widespread population. It's a logistics nightmare like it's all just excuses because it's partisan. Defense. Now there are plenty of time the L a times to the very similar one with the same kind of nonsense trotted out and the same political experts. They talk to their also lazy, these reporters, terrible talk to the same people in the same echo chamber, saying the same things. This is unprecedented. It's never been done before and if and if we had a Republican for governor What do you think they'd be right The same thing. It's partisan claptrap. That's all. It is their public relation. Outlets now their public relations specialists. They're not journalists. They're not reporters. They're not correspondents there doing PR. And when you do PR, you mitigates failures and you blow success is out of proportion. You exaggerate on both ends the also going toe times. Talk to save Yaroslavsky. I mean, really Because Yes, The former L. A county supervisor stepped up to say it's difficult because you see when you get down to it. Some counties have a county supervisor board and No. One executive in charge. Great. Well, why do we have that government but that that's a separate issue? Well, I I don't. I don't see the complicated aspect of vaccination because, as Newsome said, Back in October. California's been in the vaccination business for a long time. Every year. They vaccinate millions of people for the flu. And and they've done that for for decades and vaccinations go back. At least in a mass scale. I think to the 19 fifties. Maybe earlier than that. Polio vaccine, polio vaccine and measles and mumps and You know everything else under the sun. Now, I think there's a probably about 14 different vaccines that you can get. If you go to the vaccine store, all right, let's roll out this clip from October. This is Gavin Newsom, explaining how the vaccine rollout wouldn't seem like a difficult task of my right. You're the one that asked for this clip, so I don't know what's on it. Yeah, yeah, because what caught my eye is in the Cal matter story, it said on October 19th, the governor assured the public that California has long been in the vaccination business. And so I looked up a six minute clip of that particular press conference. And this clip doesn't have him saying that exact line but listen specifically to how this starts it because the whole mid it is about We know what we're doing. The experience with vaccinations is well established here in the state of California, and so as we work to advance the protocols and partnerships As we advance our formal planning an engagement with the CDC and the D, O D and others. We do so on the basis of the architecture of a framework that has been well established for many, many years and stop in a second. Way established the architecture of the framework that has been established as anybody ever put those words together in one phrase. That's why people love him. Okay, So what do you say such a clear speaker today? So what he's saying is, we've been vaccinating people a long time. But you know the way he wait Fortress the architecture of the Earth, the sorest, But that'll all right, play the rest of us for many, many years here in the state of California. Recently, we put together more formally a vaccine steering committee. In fact, in April, the vaccine steering committee was put in play within the state of California City pH. Department of Public Health we now ever advanced the logistics task force working here at the Office of Emergency Service for the last few months. They have been coordinating with federal regional local partners Toe look at logistics side of how we implement and actualize our vaccine. Industrialized. Yes. Oh, wait, So he's got a steering committee and he's got a task force. But wait, there's more by the rest of it. I think that was the minute that was the end of it. We have 58 seconds I was told. You know what We could keep going. Come down on it. Then he gets to the advisory board. And he's got experts from all the UC schools. But he goes on for six minutes. So at some point, you have to cut him off. Okay? Put up with six minutes, right? That's right. I know that even to prove your point, there's again, okay, but he's got He's got a steering committee, a task force and an advisory board. No strike teams. Put this vaccine strike team. They put off this together in April. Okay? It's now February. It's nine months later. And look where we are. 10 months 10 months later, that's 10 months from April. Oh, you're right that that's dead months. So after 10 months of the advisory board, which I think had 60 people on it And the task force and the strike team. I'm sure we're well into triple digits on all these people who stuck their snaps into the plan. And so what did we get? What did we get? I had thought, And I was wrong that they just Didn't believe Trump And they thought that the vaccine was never going to be here by December. And so they didn't do anything. I think you're right. But they claim his.

Yeah, I believe, And he's only I think he's been the starter for like 19 seasons now. And yet, no team. This will be the first team to ever play in their home stadium at the Super Bowl. Tom Brady has played an 18% of all Super Bowls, let that sink in and more than 50% of the ones during his career. Yep, That's not it is. I'm not betting against a guy. I don't. I'm one of the people that doesn't like him. See, I like him. I like I think he's a good guy, and it's hard to argue with that kind of success. Oh, yeah, I am. But respect him this weekend. Before we get there. I want to talk about sweet James. I'm gonna tell this story one more time because I thought it was so compelling. I talk about sweet James all the time. I tell you why I think you should call Sweet James. Here's a real testimonial. There's a girl here in the valley that was in a car crash. The insurance company offered her $1800.1800 bucks. She was going to take the check, but just to be safe, she called sweet James. Sweet James looked in her case. Sweet James looked at her medical needs and sweet James stopped her from taking that $1800 check. Just a month or so ago. Very recently, they settled for around $150,000 got her about 55% 55 times more than she was originally offered by the insurance company. After you've been hurt in an accident. So just this year, one of sweet James clients got hurt in the crash. Her insurance company offered her $1800, and she almost took it. Lucky for her. She didn't accept their offer. She called Sweet James. They helped her get the medical treatment she really needed. And this month, Sweet James helped to recover almost $150,000. That's over 55 times the original insurance offer. So you see calling the right attorney matters in the legal system. The person with the best attorney wins.
