Swayman stops 26 shots in Bruins' 7-0 rout of Sabres

"The bruins continued to take aim in a pair of NHL records with a 7 zero pounding of the sabers. Jeremy swab and picked up his second straight shutout, stopping 27 shots in the bruins third straight win. It wouldn't be possible without the guys taking initiative in the defensive zone. And blocking big shots all the way to the end. You know, it's special to see with a group like this. David pasternak tied a career high with his 48th goal for the bruins who scored on three of their first 7 shots. Patrice bergeron scored just 15 seconds in and had to assist. Swayman makes 36 saves NHL-leading Bruins beat Jets 3-0

"The bruins bounced back from their first back to back regulation losses of the season by blanking the jets three zero. Jeremy swayman handled 36 shots in his third shot out of the season and 8th of his career. The guys did such a good job boxing out. Let me see punch from the point. Made my job easy. So it was a good team win. We're excited about it. He got all the support he'd need when Trent Frederick scored just 50 seconds into the game. Pavel zacha also tallied in the first period at Dumas snow shek added an empty netter for the NHL's top team. The Jets have won four of their last 15 games after challenging for a division title. "The bruins hammered the saber 7 one to become the fastest team in NHL history to reach 100 points. Swayman makes 31 saves as NHL-best Bruins beat Rangers 3-1

"The bruins continue to win on a historic pace by beating the rangers three to one in New York. Powwow saka scored barely a minute into the game to give Boston an early lead. Patrice bergeron scored early in the second and then the bruins sealed it when Connor Clifton scored in the opening minute of the third period. It's incredible. We got a special group. I think it's pretty obvious. I think we've known it from game one. And you know, every night we're getting contributions from everyone in the lineup. Check natives David pasternak Pavel zaka and David krejci had three points a piece in Boston 6th win in 7 games. Matt hunt in the house? Thank you, Matt. Oh, here it is. Jason, Jason. If past the next signs for 11, you only got about 3 million to sign everyone else. Do you think they move out some expensive depth players? And do you think a team could offer sheet swayman? Now, the sway min talk, I really want to touch on. So swayman, let's just get right into it. Yeah. He's coming off an entry level contract, making under a $1 million right now, and he's going to want to get a pretty significant increase. I'm not talking anything above 5. I'm not even talking anything above three. I would give him honest to God. And I'm probably going to get torched on this. And please follow me at black and gold two 7 7 if you want to rip my shit. Swayman should be signed to a bridge deal two years. No trade protection. Oh. Okay. Okay. All right, I'm listening. So he continues the year this year. And hopefully they win a cop that'd be awesome. Two, increase more cap funds for next season. Now here's what I know I'm already going to get torched.

"And if you happen to, if you want to go back on YouTube or the audio podcast platform that you that you prefer and check out that interview, which certainly appreciate it. Any thoughts on Harrison, Gail? Unfortunately, that's all you, bud. I love it. I gotta be on. I'm not gonna talk about something. I don't know, because then that takes away from my credibility. So. Bagel. I love an honest woman. Absolutely. What else? So Ryan brought up that he said three points for regulation. Two for overtime wins, one for overtime loss to maintain stay close in the standings with a bunch of losses. I say just get rid of the one point for the overtime loss. No reason to change the two the two points to one point. If it's an overtime loss, it's a loss. Agreed. Good good. That's just my opinion. The bruins would be 18. Two, you know, because they have two shootout losses on home ice. So very true. Lineas almack, I'd love to talk about this guy because he's just an unbelievable story this year, really taking control of that number one job in the crease. Over Jeremy swayman, I still think that this is a tremendous tandem in that and how can you not be happy with two goals and combine make an under $6 million on your salary cap. So obviously I gotta say that I'm not particularly thrilled about the way Jeremy swayman is playing this season. I think he's taken a kind of a step back in his career. But those are things that are going to happen to young goal tenders. We're seeing great things that are lenient all map because lanius is in the Wheelhouse of when goaltender is really mature, you know, that they really come into the league and play well. And he's right in that in that timelines and free from the benefits, I swear to God sometimes we're not worried they'd have a player like this in the crease. But I still think that they're really good. I think swimming is going to be good. As he continues to learn and so on and adjust to the league, but. I'm out of words when you talk about lenius and how he's playing. He's 19 one and one. 1.94 goals against average in a .9 three 6 8 percentage in 23 games played. That's just ridiculous numbers. And those are freaking trophy numbers right there. And hopefully, that'd be awesome. If he was the vesna, visina, whatever you want to call it, I can't say the word properly. That's not, yeah, there you go. If he wins that, man. A lot of the people that did not like the signing are going to eat a bunch of coral. Well, I think the other thing, too, is that what I really like about him, he's not

"If this gets to a game 7, you wonder what happens if they have another good start and they finally have some puck luck go their way. They score first. Yeah, what happens because I think we've said this multiple times when you look at this Carolina team. Great front running team, but if there's something to chase things and they're starting to press and they start making some mistakes. Yeah, it kind of unravels for them. And you can make the same eigenvalue so you aren't really a team that's equipped to come back from a two three goal deficit, especially against a team like Carolina that knows shut things down when they're protecting a slim margin. So again, swimming wasn't his best, but I think you look at just the overall line of work that he's put forth so far in the series and the fact that, again, I don't think at this point the bruins have kind of a central focus of just keeping their season alive. I think the last thing you want to do now is start adding more second guesses of all right. Is it going to impact women's confidence if we go to Omar for a game and then have to go back to him? At this point, it's just what the next task at hand is. And I think when you look at who's going to be the guy that gets you past this first hurdle of winning a game in game 6 at home, I think so much for the guy to do it. Is the guy a 100% agree? I think you can't be switching around guys at this time of the year. We'll get to another lineup switch that could potentially come in game 6. Safe bet though that swayman plays well enough, at least to give the bruins a chance to win in game 6. It might not steal you the game he could, but might not steal you, but you know safe bet wise he will be in there making some solid stops. When we're talking about really safe bets, we're talking about our good friends over at bed online. Right, you are Evan..

"Thinking ahead of the playoffs would be the guy we're on the side of right now. Could be both. We're not sure yet. Who is the guy? Or can they flip flop? I mean, if you asked me right now who would get the non game one, I think it has to be Omar, I think you just look at the way he's playing right now and waste flame and it's kind of struggling. I would imagine Omar gets first divs, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they go into this with that tandem Annette in terms of writing a hot hand and seeing how guys are dealing with it. And who knows? Maybe it's all marks in a groove. You don't want to disturb them and you ride that hot hand. But if he plays well in one game then struggles the next, maybe swayman gives you that extra oomph with the fact that he's back in the lineup. But it's such a tough thing to navigate, right? Because how many times do we see teams go into it with a game plan and it switches up or you've got the narrative all right? Are you going to lose confidence if you're a guy like Omar, for example? So he gets the nod in game one and struggles and then you go right to swim in. How does that impact his confidence? There's a lot of other factors that come into it. When you are going into the playoffs with this tandem and net. And it's something that you map it out when you put it on paper. You're like, oh, this could really work these guys. They allow each other that they give these big hugs happy. Then you get, yeah, then you get into the playoffs and you get kind of a one game audition. You struggle a little bit and all of a sudden you're not seeing the ice for the rest of the playoffs. It's one of those things..

"I mean, he's been money since RAS retired. I was just looking at it because I was thinking for a second that ville husso out in St. Louis might be a rookie. But he played last season. I don't believe he's in I don't think he's eligible to be a rookie of the year candidate this year. A hilarious completely overtake. Yeah, overtake Jordan Benton for that. Ridiculous. Crazy how that works. Couldn't have seen that one coming. Anyways, such a sad thing to see, short of an 18 slow losing his job. You never like to see that. That's not good. But yeah, I mean, it's funny with swimming, you know, you think back to about a month month and a half. And people are going, you know, always going to the AHL. He might lose all his confidence. It's going to derail his whole career. This kid, he's done because cuckoo came. And he's been better. He's been so much better than he was at the beginning of the year. I mean, rebound control has been better. There's overall play has just been much better. He's making better saves. He's making more saves. So it's funny to see how that works. When you see going on the HL didn't really kill him. What a funky. Who would have thunk it, Evan? This guy who showed up last year is a true rookie and posted like a 9 40 save percentage over like a ten game stretch. Have like a shout out over I think the penguins and one of his first games. This is a guy that, again, the technical skill is there and all that, but for just his poise, that's something that has been mentioned at Maine during his short stint in Providence when he first signed his contract, all that stuff. This is a guy who I don't think it's really rattled off of getting sent down to Providence for a few weeks. And again, yeah, of course it was disappointing. No shit. Like, of course he was disappointed by it. But for a guy like that who's got, I think that internal drive and that composure. It's a temporary setback, but then he gets right back at it and his performing at this level now. So yeah, I mean, that narrative thank God. Again, it's very unfortunate to go ask retired and wasn't able to complete his comeback. But thank God that narrative is done. Because that was such a weak, like it's such a weak ass narrative. That one drove me nuts for the two weeks that we had to deal with it that swimming getting sent down was going to just crumble his confidence..

"I'll add in the box. Stats, stats. No Boston accents, by the way, out in Utah. None. Wild. I couldn't believe it. I spent bliss. Yes, it's funny, my friend actually wore three different Jersey skiing. One day he wore Charlie mcavoy Jersey. One day he wore Nathan McKinnon Jersey. And the next day he wore a Phil kessel, Arizona coyotes Jersey, which was pretty sick. And he said out of the three days, the most shout outs he got was for the MacBook. It should have been. I said it should have been McKinnon, but it also should have been hot dog Phil, but I did think. It was pretty crazy that there were so many bostonians there that were like, oh, or bruins fans, at least. There was one guy on the chairlift with us who was like, where are you guys from? And we were like, oh, you know, from boss, he's like, oh, I grew up in puberty. I lived there for so long. And I was like, oh, Bebe, classic. Hopefully. If there's any indication from some of these games out in LA and Seattle, they travel extremely well, the bruins. Yes. Very good to see, especially in Anaheim. Did you see that? It was like mainly bruins fans. You go right from Disney World. Disneyland, sorry, Disneyland. Right over there. Well, it's funny. I was saying to my Friends, if we had an extra day or two, we could have just flown down to Vegas for the game on Thursday, or driven there at least. And I think there's a lot of I don't know if it'll be a ton of ruins fans there, but I'd imagine a good amount. That was you pretty well. Good amount. Yeah, for sure. Speaking of good things for the bruins, more good things. Jeremy swayman has been on an absolute tear. Ever since tuca RAS hung him up, which I think is pretty telling that swimming is really kind of asserted himself as the number one, at least, for the past month. Jeremy swimmer has been terrific 5 one and one, I believe, or as if I have Owen won. 5 O 5 O one one. "It's all right, we need him to perform right now because there's no safety net of rats coming back. What have you? This is who you've got right now with Jeremy swimming elina sulle Mark. And who knows maybe Omar goes on a run, but the bruins I think especially would like to see swim and take that next step and performances like this, even it's only just one point. It's a good way to kind of build up that confidence because again just circumstance probably the class of the NHL right now. So I'm going to look pretty damn good right next to them in that game. And again, it's kind of went from being a pretty dull first two periods. All of a sudden, I felt like a playoff game. Kind of going to that overtime, right? So it was good to see swimming and really kind of handle that added spotlight that matchup and come away looking like a legit NHL goaltender, which is bruins thinking is. Yeah, and again, I mean, if he controls that rebound on their lone goal, it's a one nothing win. Again, I mean, obviously it's easy to point out those little mistakes, but that was a simple. I mean, that goal somewhat was his fault Mike Riley went down early. There were other factors into it, but it was kind of like, well, if you just kept crowd the rebound, you win that game one, nothing. But it's an interesting thing because that third period did feel like such a playoff atmosphere you were there again. You felt it. But even just watching from home, the first two periods were like, you know, they went by quick, but in the third period, it was very much. It was very much felt like a playoff atmosphere. And again, I also look back to how the bruins played a lot. I played their defense in this game because they packed it in a lot in the D zone. And again, someone asked me on Twitter as a rangers fan, I believe, asked me on Twitter and said, you know, do they normally pack it in like that? Or was it just because Martian abortion were out and I said, I think it was mainly because Martian bergeron were out. But it is encouraging that against a really good top 6 like the rangers have, even though they're not elite 5 on 5. Against a team like that without those top two key cogs, you held your own defensively, which is something we also have not seen from this team for a while either. Yeah. No, absolutely. Again, it may not be the prettiest brand of hockey, but if it guts out points when you're without your top guys and if you're in the playoffs and you're meeting up against the rangers, the hurricanes, the plenty of other teams that can bury you with a lot of goals, Florida, Tampa Bay. You're going to have to play that style of hockey, I think, just to survive some of these games against teams with considerably more firepower. So again, I think the bruins defense has been kind of a target in terms of areas to improve or whether or not they have the right personnel and again you had some misuse their Clifton at a global rough game. As you said, Riley was kind of sprawled out there. That's what it all just took themselves out. Yeah. It's a great detail to all be very physical with a bone crunching hit, just wish it was his own teammate. That's not great. But between that, you know, guys like Kahlo, I think really have to tighten up their game, I think everyone has more or less said that already..

"Exactly, yeah, should they have Adrian Peterson and that? But you can go through all those different scenarios, but by the end of the day, this is kind of a hand that you've been dealt with with Omar and swam in and now rask and the only kind of tenable scenario right now, at least barring anything super drastic is swimming down in Providence, which is a top pill to swallow, especially if you know, let's say he pulls together another two three really strong performances before rascal is back, but other than that, what else are you really going to do? I don't think you're moving Omar with that no movement clause. So what other real options do you have? And that's kind of where you're stuck is you would have to say, we don't want to ask back, which I think is dumb, because you're getting him cheap and he's healthy and I think that overall works well. I don't know. That's the issue. We've said this all along. We said this over the summer. The worst case scenario is them both being average and not knowing which one to like play the other over. But now you're getting it where they were average and it's like, oh, the bruins need rask back. And now it's like, oh, the one guy who is going to be kicked out of that equation is going to is playing out of his mind, which makes you wonder if the rask thing has been kind of motivating for someone like swimming. Like if he's like, no, screw you guys. You guys, I'm going home. It's screw you guys. I'm not going home. Crazy so far. Let's print the t-shirts. I'll be when we do our Pokémon, so I'll be swimming with just a little packer on. Screw you guys, I'm not done. I should do a pretty good Cartman impression. I should move into voicing or for south part. But I do think that at the end of the day, swimming did pick a weird time to go off because he has gone off and I don't know. I mean, it's such a weird situation. This is what we keep going back to this, like there's no right answer. The only thing is swayman goes down to Providence gets more reps, but why would you send a hot goalie down to Providence? So, I don't know, that's gonna be very interesting to see. The whole two grass thing I think is you want him back. I just don't know when that's going to take place. It feels like it's coming in the next week or two. But anyways, moving on. One of the other big takeaways from Wednesday night's game was Patrice bergeron was broken nose for like the 25th time in his career to 7th or 8th. But he says he's out of mailbox. I think some of my disagree that he's out of male modeling, but whatever that is. He's punching holes in the wall. Not even the rep in the steering wheel off. He is a male model. But he wore a bubble for Wednesday's game where a bubble for a while. And burrows, not. Alex Burroughs. What's the guy's first name? I'm totally blanking on his first Kyle, right? Kyle burrows, it is, 'cause it's Kyle burrows. Basically cross checked Persian in the bubble, right? Near the broken nose. Now, I don't know. Just didn't look like the same guy that I think bruins fans have had the luxury of enjoying looking at his game where he's been poised beyond his years, really locked in. Just didn't have it. And again, he's a rookie. He's 22 years old. We said before the season started as great as streaming looks as, you know, you don't want to run the hype train off the tracks, but he looks like a legit player. This was going to happen. It was going to eventually happen that he was going to look mortal and net and it just happened to be during a game like Wednesday night where to be fair. It wasn't really helped out that much for the defense in front of him as well. Yeah, we'll slice the blame pie between swimming and the defense who gets the larger piece. I think it's pretty 50, 15 in terms of just the fact that the defense in front of him did not help him out. Way too many odd man rushes way too many turnovers. But also a lot of those odd man rushes had stubborn pucks at the end of the sequences that strain could have turned aside. That's not to say that it should have been a shuttle burning means, but if you could cut it to maybe three, four goals. You stand in a better chance of winning that game or at least drawing a point out of it. So swinging wasn't great, but you look at the defense, which maybe has a few more red flags in terms of rookie. He's going to deal with this. You got to bail him out some nights. That has to be expected. Well, you're not expecting is, you know, as great as mcavoy and grizzly were our last night, you want to put that pair together at times when you want to maximize the offensive potential they have. But you don't want to also then lead to two very poor pairs with fulbert Clifton, who looked dreadful together. And you had a night where Mike Riley, you get kind of the good and the bad. You like Mike Riley's a great puck mover, but you also get some of those Jekyll and Hyde performances by the way he plays. And you got the bad part of it in that game. I mean, it just was not good, sloppy with the puck directly led to two or three Ironman rushes, two of them, which led to goals..

"Okay, so we've talked to bruss. We've talked Swann. I want to get into a little bit of the new broadcast because again, we mentioned it's only been one game for the bruins, but there's been multiple national broadcasts. Obviously, ESPN and Turner now have the rights instead of NBC. We saw ESPN on Tuesday night of last week, which was like the opening night. It was what? It was lightning and rain. The lightning and the lightning and penguins was actually I'm thinking of Turner. Lightning. And then it was cracking in Vegas. Cognitive, which was way better game. It was bad. That was a horrible. Horrible, horrible fan. It was the whole thing. And then the next night Turner was caps rangers caps and Blackhawks. Abs Blackhawks. That's the first time we saw the Blackhawks just debacle. But I was watching. Yeah, I was watching the new broadcast. I wanted to see what do I like? What do I not like? My overall thoughts from both as I like both. I enjoy that it's on ESPN. I like that it's on Turner. We'll start with ESPN. It felt so professional when they did it really well. Kevin weeks is awesome during the initial. Kevin Kevin cone. Linda Cohn, and Kevin weeks are great together during the intermission. I like booty grass a lot. So I just enjoyed the broadcast. Did you have any thoughts from ESPN one? Yeah, no, I thought as you said, professional informative, good personality, said Emily Kaplan was awesome during the broadcast instead of literally we didn't have to listen to where a guy went to the USA channel because she got actual insight. We heard what people were saying on the bends. Like, actual information to an actual game, which is very refreshing. Yeah, I think both shows are both broadcast are very, very good. ESPN as much as I think people will see what happens when they get into more of the ESPN+ broadcast cloud. I feel like that's just going to really confuse people at first. So I think you have to navigate that hurdle because as much as I think ESPN is being very upfront like, don't forget, this is what you have to do. I know when we get to bronze games, especially I'm going to have people tweeting at me or having questions about it, which is understandable. It's definitely something in terms of pitching like, no, you need to get no, it's not ESPN. You have to subscribe to get this broadcast as well. That would be a.

"And welcome to the brewers beat on CLS media, my name is Evan marano ski. I hope you guys are having a great day, a great week, enjoying hockey being back. Not really the bruins. We're just playing one game to this point. Firstly, one game in a week, and they don't play till Wednesday, but hopefully you enjoyed the game Saturday night. And have been enjoying all the hockey around the league. A lot of just having hockey back. This time of year is always so fun because it's so fresh. I'm watching every game. I'm consuming every possible piece of hockey content I can consume. So I hope you guys are doing the same enjoying the Red Sox as well. On this episode, Connor and I discussed Jake de brusk in the third line, which looks to be back. I know it's one game, one of 82. But that line? Pretty encouraging. Pretty pretty. Pretty encouraging. If you guys get my reference there. Then we talked swimming. We discussed sort of the bruins scheduling things, what to look forward to coming up. And then we discussed ESPN and Turner. How we like the new broadcasts, how we like their new setups, and the promotion of it. So we get into all of that in this episode and more. And without further ado, here's my conversation. With Conor Ryan. And we're here with Connor Ryan, Connor, what is up? Evan, how are you doing? I'm good. I'm doing well. I'm interested to hear how you are. He's just like that right to me. You know, I'm doing okay. I'm going to be over a fun way today. It's the most exciting time of the sports year. We got Red Sox going on. Minks were very busy a couple of days, but I am doing well. Yeah, it's a very busy time of the year. Especially for someone like you who you're not, I mean, bruins have started, but they don't play until Wednesday. Yes. So we've been scheduled being out of whack a little bit, so. Yes. Oh, you know, are you around a little bit? Do you want to go over and see game three of the ALCS? Like, who would want to do that? Yeah. Who would ever want to do that? But anyways, the birds have played one game..

"I love a bad start here or there. But and I also just think he looks good, right? Isn't there like that thing with him? And you said that he looks legit. And the, you know, you wouldn't play the eye test game. He passes the eye test, no problem. So and I also think I feel like Omar could be wrong with this, but I feel like Omar is going to maybe start a little slow, but in somewhere like November, December, he's going to be really good. You know, he's going to have a stretch of like ten games where he's like a one 7 6 goals against average. And he's like, nasty again. It's like, all right, now we're cooking. But I think to start, you got to go with swam and I don't see a reason other than he makes other than Omar makes more money than swayman should maybe not be the starter. But yes, Jeremy swimming successfully moved himself into that starting job, at least in most people's eyes. I don't know if there's I don't think I've seen a person on Twitter. Or anywhere kind of advocate for Omar to start. But maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Maybe I need to look a little more closely. Get a delve into the depths of bruins Twitter. Oh, that's where you lose me. I'm good. Lastly, Jackson nigga looks to be headed to Providence. I know on Monday you had said that it probably wasn't the best idea because it's like, it's like when you're in like be a pro mode and you're playing on rookie or like pro because it's only so much you can do with that level. You gotta move to that next level. I do feel though as if said Nico will be brought up one of the first call ups. In the event, there's an injury up front. Or, I mean, it's because it's weird, because even if he's tearing up the AHL, that's not going to get him to the NHL level. What gets him back up to the NHL, maybe aside from an injury? It would probably have to be just ineffectiveness from the guys we have up here. So that's the third line which looked really good the first few pieces in games a little bit more quiet in the last game, but I think they want to keep that de brusque Lena line together. The breast can't stop scoring and shootouts by the way..

"Here with Connor Ryan at Boston sports journal and Connor before we start. We always say who was a number 64. And we were we actually started recording and then I stopped and said, wait, who was the number 64? And I said, Bobby Robbins and lane mcdermot 64. And I was right. I sniped that. Sometimes sometimes you just gotta relish in your own good things that you do, and this is a good example of that. I got those right. I feel like that's I feel like that adds a few points to me in some way. Whether you're a stick tab, Evan, good job. Oh, oh yeah, definitely a pat on the back. But Connor, what is up? Evan, doing well, not recording from a Dunkin Donuts packing lot. So things are looking up. How you doing? I'm good. Yes, that was quite the scene. Honestly, it looked fine. I don't know if you wouldn't watch the video, but it looked good. The sound was good. Little ambient noise, The Rain that a pad is down on my car. Yeah, for those who love ASMR that listen to this, maybe you could listen to that and we're soothed by The Rain hitting the top of your Honda. Maybe that maybe that was a good thing for you. But it ended up being fine. That's what I was perfect 'cause it was either we did that or we would record it like 1230 in the morning. So I was more in favor of just sending you out to the former for sure. Four, sure. Okay, so the preseason is over. It's done. Next stop is the regular season. But that is not for a long time. It's not until October 16th and time recorded this as October 7th. We got 9 days. Until the start of the season. So let the season previews begin. But before we preview the season, which we will on subsequent episodes of this and Bruin's beat, we got to break down the previous season a little bit. And obviously, Wednesday night was the return of Charlie Coyle. To the bruins lineup. And he looked really, really, really good..

"Because again I think all three thousand teams are are very solid by the way no one's talking about this Taylor Hall. I added my My Hockey Ultimate Team the 88th overall Taylor Hall card has like five goals in two games guys. Immaculate entering the Zone with the puck like just graded Zone entries. It's a great card. Amazing, pick up by me. It was a good bargain. She was like thirty-five thousand coins. It was anyone who plays hot can appreciate the addition of him to my second line. So don't talking about that, I don't know why no one's talking about that. That's a pretty big deal five goals to games. That's, that's player-of-the-week status right there. But yeah, so yeah, for its first-round matchups, go. I think that it's probably I don't think it's the Capitals. I don't think that's the TV want to play first mainly cuz yes you can beat them, but your family home. Going to kill you like your kids, a war. When you can't tell me like Matt grzelcyk is escaping that series. Will have come on. I mean I think if you're the Bruins like a best case scenario, you LeapFrog the Islanders and get either the two or three seed play, probably the Penguins and then have the capitals either beat the shit out of the Islanders or even the Rangers. Which choice that would also be a good scenario of which like if the Rangers sneak in place you want a hot team if they gives the capitals trouble. There you go. Well, yeah, I think the best case is, you know, either you face a week a week, I understand with slumping in or like Pittsburgh that got a lot of skill, but you can still, do you still get your chance against especially, once you figure out kind of that they open up a lot of the middle of the I switch, Cassidy lose to in the last game. And what do you know? You gotta gotta cable, who can speak to the neutral zone? Now, it's grayed out that works. I know that because again, my Hockey Ultimate Team is just so good on it. That's my main. My baby, seven, Allison Taylor Hall. See what he does for me at any rate, Before I Let You Go. What kind of listeners look forward to at Boston Sports Journal? Yeah, we're going to be starting to do our early previews of matchups in the play-offs because it's right around the corner is crazy to say that. So all that stuff will be over at Boston Sports channel. Com. So subscribe to b, s j. And if you want from me on Twitter you can do that at, Ryan. I'm just going 93. Go to all that for sale s media Outlets, marinoff ski, that's Connor, and a Boston Sports channel. You poke barristers have an amazing rest of your day.

"That goal, he scored up to use, it might have been best goal of the season for the Bruins and that's that was my life. I kind of wrote about it. That it's one thing that I think you have to be encouraged by. How Hall is stick with this team where, you know, just how he's no longer the the guy anymore and the fact that it's chemistry, I think with Christian faith has you know? Meshed very well but you also I think have to look at the fact that hey the Bruins of have missed is kind of like instant game-changing offense job. At you. Don't you didn't have outside of that Top Line, right? Like, you didn't have this guy who can just, you know, get pushed the puck down, one of the, the other make a move and all sudden the puck back of it, that like you've missed that, especially outside of the top line. So it's worked fantastic for them. But going back to just the matchups. Like, I think the way the Islanders are playing right now, it's still going to get stuff out any of the teams that play is going to be a tough out. But I just think the overall high end level of the Bruins is too much for the island especially the way they're playing right now. It's just it'd be tough on the catch-up but the penguins are right up there the penguins like Scare me a little bit, cuz it's one thing you have to worry about Crosby would that you seem like one of those scenes where it's just these, like, ragtag crew jabronies that. Like, I'm just having career years, like, what the fuck is Courtney C? Doing like, I'm all that. So weird, I'm upset, when I see him, I'm like, who the hell like when like all these movies, they made like Matheson and see. See, I was like, what the fuck are they doing in Pittsburgh? Like these bum-ass guys, they got no playing great. I mean, it's not like, you know, it's in the S pass where it's like, you know, they get Brian R Us, you know, like the hell is this guy and he does, what else? He's on the top six or eight, you know, Chris Kunitz being a forty goalscoring to do with Crosby. It's like these guys are also just like playing unreal out of these spots. So I mean I think any matchup is going to be tough but I think if you look at the way the Islanders are playing, That one might be a bit more of an appealing match up because outside of and I know they play, you know, a good defense and they they pack it in, but I try to bars all, you know, they don't really have that game-changing offense. It's very simplified format or structure they have. But we also in a week, be looking at the playoff standings, and as much as foreign students are probably looking over their shoulder and the Rangers, it might be the Islanders, like.

"But this way my guy can play can play. It's proven at this point and one thing that has become abundantly clear this week is it looks as if he's probably bumped jaroslav halak. Is that the right move? Is this going to keep going your general thoughts? Yeah. I mean I can see any reason why you would take them out of the rotation at this point right? I think Bruce Cassidy more or less said that had this band you know the middle of the season and not had a little bit more of a window or maybe a bit more breathing room in the standings to incorporate and get a walk back into the mix. Then of course you do that right? I mean it's not like they're they were looking forward to the Sierra Club, part of the plan to have a whole lot, get bumped out of the rotation and to have Jeremy swimming step. And they didn't think he was going to be remotely close to the NHL, like, you know, here was this year when according to plan, they'd be more than happy with him splitting reps. With our downtown Providence. Ain't dealing with the expected development Road bumps, that you would imagine would come from a guy. Making the jump from college, hockey through the pros. Hasn't happened. Thankfully for the Bruins also worked out extremely well, right?

Sabres Trade Hall to the Bruins for an Underwhelming Return

"Stumps were never super high on Taylor home after a few years in the league which is a viewer Observer thought was crazy but eventually you can't you just can't deny the fact. Again you can disagree with with teams and GM's not thinking that highly of Taylor Hall, but the proof is in the pudding every time he gets moved. So he gets moved for Adam Larson and that's a terrible trade anyway. But but yep. And so everyone's like wow, he got moved for that. Little, when he gets moved to Arizona, it's like, wow, was I forget was, was there not a like, he was a conditional first-round pick up, right? I believe it was right, but so you you're thinking, okay, it's going to be a ton of stuff and it really wasn't a huge huge deal. Then he becomes a free agent and obviously it's in the pandemic and he signs a 1.8 million dollar deal with the Sabres and I you I'm sure everybody is like Bruins what are you doing site? He's one year and eight million dollars to play for the freaking Sabres. Top that everybody should be trying to top it but they weren't then he gets moved at this deadline and Elliott Friedman comes out right after and he said he said since that Paul had to do with it with wanting to go to the Bruins and having to know move, but he's like the interest in Taylor Hall. Just wasn't as high as people thought it was going to be. Again you can disagree with them. But every time he moves, we all say, why is everyone so stupid? Why is that one? Giving up more for this guy but it's happening teams don't like Taylor Hall as much as we do,
