You Can Ring Nobel
"A video is making the rounds on the internet this week caught on one of those smart doorbell cameras. It's 2 a.m. And a man is anxiously knocking on his neighbor's door trying to wake him. Does the man need help? Is there an emergency is the neighbor's house on fire? Was there a Prowler in the area or some other kind of threat? No doubt. The man Robert Wilson is trying to wake his across the street neighbor to tell him that they just won the Nobel Prize. My name's Moxi and this is your brain on facts. A good reputation is more valuable than money for lilias. Serious a Syrian living in Rome at the time of the big b c a d change over we have no way of knowing if Alfred Nobel ever read publilius, but he definitely had reputation on his mind the Swedish chemist engineer and industrialists found a novel way to combine good old Gunpowder with the exciting new discovery of nitroglycerin to form a truly earth-shaking invention Dynamite. It was a game-changer for Industries like coal mining and it killed people like it was nobody's business both intentionally and through many many Factory explosions. Nobel got richer with each Improvement on the dynamite then his brother Ludovic died a French newspaper ran an obit for Alfred having gotten their lines cross somewhere along the way they were shown the remote As more the paper proclaimed. The merchants of death is dead. Dr. Alfred Nobel who became a rich by finding ways to kill four people faster than ever before died yesterday. That's gotta sting. Nobel had no children and a sudden intense concern about his legacy. So he decided to put some of the money he'd made into the service of repairing his name with a real long-term strategy in his 1895 will drafted the year before he died Nobel instructed that most of his fortune the equivalent of two hundred and fifty million dollars today be set aside to create an award five annual prizes quote to those who during the preceding year shall have conferred the greatest benefit of mankind provided you benefit mankind by way of physics chemistry physiology or medicine literature and problematically vague more on that later long piece. Wait a sec. Say those of you with better recall than me. Where's the Nobel Prize for economics? There wasn't one. There still isn't a part from the one that they're kind of is. The bank of Sweden prize in economic Sciences in memory of Alfred Nobel was created by Sweden's Central Bank in nineteen. Sixty-eight. What about mathematics game popular Apocrypha is that Nobel lost the woman he loved to a mathematician and so did not consider mathematics to be important enough. There's no proof for that story sadly wage and while no one knows for sure the reason it could be as simple as Nobel really wasn't a math guy. I feel you there. Winners are announced in October and November the culmination of a Year's preparation more than six thousand people like Nobel laureates AKA past winners School in various fields and officials from various universities are invited to nominate candidates about a thousand of them for each prize, which usually results in between 150 and 250 nominees. It's not just names in a hat. You have to write a detailed proposal in favor of your nominee and no no matter how much you want to know how cleverly you think you can get away with it. You cannot nominate yourself. Also. You must be alive. Nobel prizes aren't awarded posthumously at least not any more than a few were in the early days, but it was decided in the 1970s that that wasn't their bag anymore, but exceptions make the rule and there is one notable exception in 20 job. 11:00 Canadian immunologist Ralph Steinman received the Nobel Prize for physiology or medicine but he passed away between being nominated and the prize being announced akong assignments daughter. Her father had actually joked about getting the Nobel Prize shortly before he died. They don't give it to you if you've passed away. He said according to her I got to hold out for that. He didn't quite make it but they gave them the prize. Anyway, Steinman must have had a real sixth sense when it comes to convoluted award schemes because non-winning nominees are kept secret out for fifty years in part to prevent a sort of Susan Lucci situation. For those of you who don't recognize the name Susan Lucci is an American soap opera actress who was nominated for a long time. Emmy Award nineteen years in a row before she won. I always suspected that she got the Nam as a running gag after a

"But what I keep going back to back me up on this. Muda Barbecue people are inherently cheap fast, and for them to squeeze ten dollars out for something that they don't perceive what would be two hundred dollars worth of valid I mean that's a hard sell. And then it's competition barbecue on top of it five years ago six years ago, I could see it being a little bit more general, Public Fascinating, but at twenty twenty. And I get that still a lot of people are trapped then there's yearnings for every kind of entertainment to keep us Keep the idle hands going, but I don't know if I saw you know more than a few people paying some money I. Mean I want to know what the business of being here. Well let me let me. Reflect upon what little I know, yes. There is a there's probably five thousand people in this country who are really into barbecue competition yeah. So. My instincts are as that would be their corner their core market because. Now, I don't compete, and I don't judge anymore because I just don't like sitting in a tent for the whole day. But I go to competition every now and then when I do I, know some of the cooks and I like to visit with them, and they trust me. They know I'm not going to share all their secrets and blow their cover and I get to taste of the food now. You mentioned Darren War Than I. He was nominated this year for the hall. Darren is the single best competition cook. I've encountered. I've tasted all of his meets for KCBS. Competition more than one year and they're just unbelievable. There's nothing there that comes anywhere cloth. Nothing I cook comes anywhere close to what he could. Now if I knew I could watch this show. And get his secrets I'd pay ninety five. But I don't know if he'd be willing to do that because as much as he and I, we get along. He and I his wife, Sherry. I I'm bringing them. Wine I brought her flowers last time I saw are. We sit around. We shared drinks and there are some things that he just hasn't shown me yet. And I haven't asked to be allowed to see them. You Know I. Don't know if that's GONNA. Be It now if I knew that the deep dark secrets are going to be revealed in for nine ninety five. Whether they're doing that or not I don't know I'll say this. It's interesting. I didn't hear about it at all. Until yesterday. I Know Day Neil I've been a guest on his show here in Chicago wd end. I know most of the folks you've mentioned. If. I'm trying to promote a pay per view show for ten bucks yeah. The first thing I would do would ask me head to promote it. For Christ's sake, we just the barbecues stars series, which sold for two hundred ninety seven dollars. We promoted it and soul, six or eight hundred tickets at three hundred bucks, so if they had come to me and said, would you? You know here's? What's all involved I? Don't have to be invited I. Don't have to Cook. I don't have to observe that at least. Say something about it on your site in social media. I probably could have sold a bunch of tickets for him. Yeah, well, I'll be interested to see also what the was on the actual technical side of things, and maybe people are a lot more forgiving, but it. Is Internet based I. Know where they were and I'm not necessarily thinking that there's a tremendous amount of infrastructure out there, but maybe I'm wrong and you know audio video. And how did it work to and? To enhance or detract from a ten dollar buying experience. I guess I'll be revealed. GotTa have. You know I mean you have taken this show and fine tune. The production value talked earlier about the quality of Audio I. Mean you've got production values down? Pat With the exception of your blue fringed air. Hard on that. If that's what this show is, and it certainly not gonna fly. They have got to do what I mean. If they didn't get Jon Marcus, involved in in in doing it, they missed an opportunity because he knows production values, so I don't know who's directing and producing and what's going on. Be Interesting to find out. I now that I know a little more about it I might go out and spend ten bucks and try to watch all right, so we'll see how it goes. You gotTA. Go to Amazon get there, you go. Which? I see it right over your right shoulder. That's the best our from what I understand. One of the best ever written top ten books ever written right Burr. Thank you the other thing I wanted to ask you about this evening. I'm going to be having Jon. Marcus on here in just a few short minutes I think we both widely agree that he is somebody that has exposed many millions of people into or at least inspiring them into getting into some form or fashion of live fire, grilling industry and tonight. I don't know if you're aware, but there was a first attempt at a pay per view barbecue contests. Did you know anything about this? And well I just found out about it and flipping through twitter today I saw Ray lampy site and I saw on twitter feed coupla others talking about this fight club, and then when I log in. Your listeners were talking about it, and the comments and I'm still not clear as to what it's all about I'm interested in hearing more sounds like it's a competition pay per view very interesting concept. I don't know how many people are willing to pay to watch competition barbecue, but if they show was a little more than what your typical TV show is showing us, it might be worthwhile and hey, listen. You mentioned John, I'm a huge fan of John Marcus I met him when the first pitmasters. Came on TV I was doing a weekly review for the Huffington. Post I reviewed every week. They were great fun. And John is one of the most remarkable people in the barbecue community. He is truly a man for all seasons erudite. Well read. Did you know he's a playwright? Did I, of course I know. He wrote a fabulous tones for crying out loud. Yet I actually purchased a script to the liposomes which you can read and forty five minutes It's a fun fun play. he's written a couple of other places. You know of people who know of in know that he was. He won an emmy for his job as a writer on the bill cosby show. And Just you know. Coal creators. He was co-creator of a different world. You remember that that was a spin off of the cosby show. That was wildly successful. The Lisa Bonet a I think Marisa Tomei. A younger Theresa Marisa Tomei was in that as well. I mean that's a big deal. Just those things are. Huge he's. He's very very knowledgeable, very experienced. and. His expertise goes way beyond barbecue into all matters food literature. Truly. Unlike anybody else I. Know the Barbecue World. So to get back to the fight club, so it was a nine dollars. Ninety nine cents get down for this evening now yesterday to entice you at six PM. Eastern. They had a let's call round table outside and some secret undisclosed location I know exactly where it is by the way but. They had they had the guy from smoking hogs, Massachusetts Bill Gillespie the pitmasters from nine one three Barbecue Darren war is competing. Of course, Tim. Sheer is over there. Luke Darnell from old Virginia Smoke Kelly words from four legs of Barbecue I believe that was rounding out the competition, so they had these six folks going up against each other and what I'm trying to ascertain is. How much was show I? Mean Look I'm no idiot here. I know how a barbecue competition runs, and if you're starting out from the beginning, which I doubt they were. I mean what are we looking at at a minimum time commitment of five hours or six hours, so there's no way they showed a barbecue competition starting at six o'clock tonight, and it's already over so that there had to have been some or a bunch of prerecorded offer. Maybe they were cooking during the day today, and they were making packages, and then filtering in some live stuff at six. o'clock I'm not sure exactly how it work. Work, because I can't as much as I like because your guy. Day Neil over there in Chicago was one of the big operating partners in this I think he put the deal together with fight. TV in order to get this off the ground. He's in the motor sports to, and that's part of the show that he has over there on wgn and when he was on last week talking about it, I thought I dug the concept. But what I keep going back to back me up on this. Muda Barbecue people are inherently cheap fast, and for them to squeeze ten dollars out.

I probably wouldn't have a chance anyway so you know you never know. You never know so anyway. That's what's going on with the podcast awards late announcement on the tenth and of course. I heard something you know. This is a trend that started here. Mike about translating shows you. I heart made an announcement that they're going to take their top shows in. They're going to translate them in the six different languages so it's not the host host. It's someone else doing the translation well that would make sense because <hes> unless the host is a multi-lingual but <hes> yeah they're you're translating into six different languages some of their top shows and <hes> so basically they re recording it using a host that speaks the other language but isn't sometimes the show the host the show. I think so but you know maybe if it's just a straight up information that might that might work. Mark just seems a little odd to be. I you know i i can't imagine someone recording this show or my personal show because because that's really about harvests about me so it would be some of it wouldn't work yeah. That would be a little weird <hes> <hes> to <hes> well i don't have i'm not multi-lingual so i wouldn't be able to listen to the the other languages so wouldn't really do me any good anyway but <hes>..

"Thanks for hanging on this. And I wanna know sunny bright Friday, cold THEO, heat on your face in your car. If the sun is on it. It's not terrible. It's not driving still kind of all the driving redecked, especially in Saint Paul sorry. No fears are in Saint Paul or a year at all. Always connected to Melvin Carter. Please do something. They don't shovel. No. I don't play unless it's an emergency. Then they plow cancel it is unacceptable. I agree with you. Okay. So Susan Lucci. Who we know Erica Kane from Gemma hospital for my children, my children for all those years. And also everyone knows Susan Lucci. She's stunning. She was an the dress read where red for frapp fab. They just had a fashion show in New York where they have all these celebrities go on these Maguen emphasised red dresses, and everything and she has recently told the story about her finding out about her own heart disease, and we'll get let's listen to it. I get to what happened. Sure on the runway this morning. Susan Lucci is revealing how her life took a dramatic turn worthy of a soap opera this past October twice feeling discomfort in her chest. And ignoring it. I thought it was nothing. It's going to pass then she felt it a third time. I was actually in a boutique, and I suddenly felt what I had heard someone on TV interview years ago woman say that she leading up to a heart attack had felt like an elephant was pressing on her chest the store manager immediately. Drove her to the hospital tests showed she had two blocked arteries requiring stents that were put in that night. I was just shocked because it would lead to a heart attack. Ultimately. Yes. And I thank goodness that I was not home because had I've been home. I probably would have said, oh, I just need you lay down. How have some water? In that is that is the truth. So she was talking about. I don't know what the next cut it Kenner talks about her heart problems came as a real surprise as they do to a lot of people who think they're so healthy in shape. Oh, here's a little more. Susan lucci. It was a true surprise for Susan who says she eats a healthy diet and exercise is six to seven days a week. She even spent a season on dancing with the stars. It was genetics for me and stress, and I asked the doctor how is my heart house, my actual heart. And he said your actual your heart like heart of a twenty year old, and he said it me three times. So what about the emotional toll? This has taken on you. How are you doing it? Shook me up. It shook. My my confidence. I'm going to say my confidence in my health. Why do you think we dismiss symptoms that our bodies trying to tell us are important and potentially dangerous? I think that we are so busy in a good way. During the people we love in our family. We are not on our own to do this. And and you think it will pass and truly my symptom of elephant pressing on my chest and radiating around. My back did pass sleeping you're thinking. This is foolish for me to be going to the hospital embarrassing. You just need to listen to your symptoms and act on them and differs between men and women. And that I think is the big one men feel it more the tingling arms, and they do feel a little chest pain. But there's a lot of arm movement and shortness of breath women have the shortness of breath as as well. But the thing about feeling an elephant on your chest. I will tell you. I'm about eight years out in cancer survivorship in like a week or two. I think. Big darn deal is one of the drugs that I was on was giving me heart failure. And I had no idea. What was happening? I every time I would lay down I would cough, and I just became more pale everything just required. More exertion like walking up the stairs. And I was always out a Brad. And those are all very classic signs that something is going on with your heart. And I had no idea. Right. And Finally, I was just like breast cancer right now. And I thought it was because the chemo or whatever. But I was like I cannot breathe I can barely walk up. And I am just not doing very well. They were like, oh, yeah. Let's check your heart. Ooh. Yeah. Wow. Heart failure right now. Let's get some drugs fast. Isn't that something heart problems were brought on by medication in her? Yeah. And your heart is a muscle. So if you have issues, you can re strengthen your muscle, you can do things, but your heart is your heart. And then you have the valves, it's the arteries heart disease. A lotta time is in the arteries the ocean in the arteries. But if you know, I just thought it's always good to remind people because she's teeny tiny, she's super healthy. No, she never indulges in anything. She probably hasn't had a scrap of sugar since one thousand nine hundred. No, and I needed it. So bad last night. I had to cook butter and brench sugar and bringing spoil and try to. Carmel? I've no sugar. My house. Have no carbs house is going crazy. That's good. You're very creative. I really I know chocolate chips. I'd nothing like I I make fucking they make. Okay. So you're going to tell me about a couple. A couple new restaurants or something that sure we should know about we've got a couple of minutes left. Sure, I was very pleasantly surprised by a place. I went to that has only been open for about a month called PS steak that's in five ten grove one across. Over in Minneapolis, offer Hennepin. It is a steak house, but it's a more modern steakhouse. Okay, have done such a beautiful job. Reconstructing the space inside it. It's a great place when you walk in. There's a huge lounge and it's got a big fireplace. And it's a great place to go and have a drink before. Maybe you're heading into downtown or doing something else is there parking of that free valet free valet, and you can go have a drink and leave a few want, but you should stay for dinner. A whole nother bar. That's kind of cozy and red booths. And the food is great. I had a really delicious like pasta with clams. That was awesome. The stakes are really good. Very inventive sides. But also classic. You know, they've got three different types of potatoes, mashed potato being one, but then this other type of potato that's more like inaugura. I'm that's really elevated and delicious. Great service like I just loved it there, and it's called P S state. Okay. Five ten girl went on avenue. You know, people the cut some meat are expensive because meat is expensive. If you get good quality need, right. But there were twenty dollar dishes to like, I didn't feel like it was completely like, you know, sometimes you go to manny's, it's eighty dollars or anything. And you're like, whoa. It wasn't like that at all. Oh, really really liked state. Where was this again? Oh, okay. And they have free valet. Now that is the thing with that location is always a pain and the..

It's all behind passwords, but you can look at some nails. I hope they let it there's no way. I hope they at least. Let it be shown somewhere. It was too incredible. Yeah. We did a lot of great stuff. We I mean, your I I'm telling you what I saw the shit. That's like begging for. I was like I gotta see I got to see it was my mother loves him. Oh, can you send us in no markets to because I don't trust you. But. She always asked to watch them. Oh, she comes in off aero will give you I'll give you the password. So you can check them all out if you want to watch the other ones too, so. Yeah. Because it's such you don't that's the part of the business that people don't understand you work. You're working work you like, and for whatever reason, I don't even think it was I in this case some cases, I've been like, they just be dumb and this. I just think they just you trying to figure out win the launchpad something. Sure. But my thing what I've said is there are people that are tach to this not only the people that were already big that were attached to it. But people who are getting exposure in Guinea like I put myself in their like the things that people be like there was a connection there. I think people don't understand us like if it's not popular enough over. It's not everybody not popping enough. It's just like we're not this kind of really brings me into the final thing. When I was talking about like, the young and the restless and how they maintain the times and some of the soap operas and stuff was it or which one of them went out of style. All my children. We was all my children. And also as the world turns you get out of here as the world. No, not as world terms. Now all of a lot. The. Days of my days lives. That's not out. I think. I think that what is still doing. Okay days. What laugh we used to? That's what victory Akkas and all of that. We used to watch that we wasn't. We was a huge all my children. That's with Susan serandon. Not Susan wasn't it a kept losing out on the old time. Susan Lucci or whatever her name was. But in this business of things constantly changing. And all of this one of the things that I chime in anytime, you see a man. And if you don't don't worry about it. But if you see chime in, you're right. It's all my children had Susan Lucci. Nice. Yeah. She tried like sixty times of women with an EMMY, and they didn't give the year before she retired. But at that point. I'd be like fuck, y'all consolation great. No. She was she was very popular. It's like whatever she wants the Cardi B of soap operas. I was telling my mother I said I remember being in radio stations with her pulling carts, you know, setting her lineup for her..

"Episode of. Your. Yeah. Scary things. I have never felt so anti Halloween have this year. I don't know why. Well, even get my kids gifts things like Halloween returning usually try to do something nothing zero. I did mail twenty dollars. The nieces and nephews with cards. The only thing. I did. Yeah. No. We were lame this year. We will not be lame next year. No because I saw some amazing costumes and people already about Dr crutchfield's office was really fine, the wicked witch liquefy Nabet, you know, you are did you see her shoes? Mazing? Oh my gosh. Green skin blacked out teeth, the outfit the had just. She is the reigning holiday park that we know Holly Dirk. Yeah. For sure big time. Definitely. Well, gee, listen the morning shows were Superfund today yesterday, we talked about we'll be able to tell what the today show stances Megan Kelly, if they're going to fighter for contract based on how big of a spooky spectacular morning show. They not only Davis spooky spectacular show. They went all out spent the most money, and there was a Halloween jinx. Because both g me and the today show. Pigs eighty says the theme one hundred percent today show did the movies Jimmy did TV shows, and it was inside. Yeah. Wasn't. He's like like if it had been flip-flop than we would have said, oh NBC's gearing up, but they went all out in the money department well in in Hoda as both voted Holding cO as holder was Elton John was out on the stage on a piano. It was amazing. Kathy Lee Gifford was supposedly she was wearing the pink dress that Madonna actually wore in the material girl, she came out and lip sync to that savannah was. Cindy lauper. Al was what's his name for back to the future? That mad professor. The other guy. Let's see Craig Melville was coming back to America coming to America. Eddie Murphy with the Cape love, Jennifer, Bush Hager, and Peter Alexander were Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise from top gun. She was unrecognized who that what their moustache short hair. It was just they were really really good. And then ABC was lane. It really it really was it was they all discipline characters from eighties TV shows so dominant role was Robin Roberts who's at Diane Carroll and dynasty. Love boat law. Laura was just up like, captain, Stu. The bald cap on. Ginger was a teenage ninja turtle. Amy, Roebuck was the best team peg Bundy. And she looked amazing amazing. But it was just really the today show spent money Carson Daley rolled up in a motorcycle Justice Bruce Springsteen, they were kind of that was fun. They they weren't allowed in like a marching band. I mean, they spent money on hiring extras and stuff like that. So they won that. But I think for sure the morning battle Donnie posted. Both photos, Kellyanne Ryan didn't amazing sixty six costume changes. And they open the show with Christine Aguilera singing genie in a bottle. And they both cast came out dressed like barber eating from I dream of Jeannie way, pink crop outfit. Boobs and Kelly. Okay. To say this because I. I not skinny shaming but Kelly ripa's tiny. Wow, he's very very tiny very fit very tiny. Wow. And then Susan Lucci. American swallows. They did a pre taped bet where they were revisiting their time on all my children, they met that was hysterical. They also did an I love Lucy. It was it was really they go all in the to go in studio. I think you have to be dressed because even the in studio guests were giveaway. Good pry. Yeah. Why would we not into it? I just am not into it this year. I don't know. I don't know because it's Wednesday somethings that makes it hard. Like if you know, you're more like. We heard. Yeah. Wedding on Saturday. But we are outwear. Yeah. So we are all aware. Anyway, they even God. The property brothers to do a bit is the famous Olsen twins and Kelly Ripa. They busy Phillips gotta reenact some bla-bla-bla Dawson's creek thing. And yeah, it was they were they were not allowed then then the ladies on the view came out, and they spend some money, and they were very funny. So you Meghan McCain came out as Elsa from frozen. She's had a real hard week. She enjoy her gotten the biggest tiff yesterday all out awkward boy fight with each other. So she's dressed up as Elsa sunny Haas syndrome up as. Were they all dizzy people? Well, she just up as one of the women from Black Panther from condal. Yeah. Okay. One of the warriors. And then joy Behar came in on like some kind of a three wheel scooter as Arnold Schwarzenegger called herself, the mid Terminator that's clever isn't that good? And then Abby Huntsman came out in being carried this is where ABC's spent the money was on the view being carried by like six hunky guys in the egg and came out in the meat dress as hitting me, and that was what be Whoopie was. It's an ABC cartoon. It's on right now film of symbolize or she was like a vampire with purple honor got wings like a bat. I'd say it's a Disney property, whatever it is. I didn't know she says she watches it with their vamp arena Obama, marina vamp arena is who she wasn't. She was very good. And then Ellie Kemper was a guest and she came out like Amelia Earhart. And then the Bella twins were just like supergirl wonder woman. Wow. So they did barn Wendy Williams. She gave a I don't know what she was. She was on Seth Meyers last night. And as a guest there's a lot of good guests on late night TV last night. And our next story that when we can't get enough of was the most awkward interview Andy Cohen's ever had in the clubhouse. I didn't see it. I'm so excited to hear it though. So Wendy Williams comes out today. And she's like, it's the it's the one year anniversary of my faint, Asian, you know, she likes that Asian to everything she fainted when she was the statue of liberty last year. That's right and. Anyway, she was on the of everything. A invent my own ending to everything. Anyway, she was dressed up as the Queen hearts, and she just had her splendid bosom on display their Jason and Shane from Jason shell they dressed up as supermarket sweep in like bright neon neon neon things, and then they had a different backdrop behind him, mosquitoes cure. Yeah. And the ladies at the talk always do something musical. So I haven't had a chance to see that. But I do kind of like how the the TV shows get very visual and seemed to people were there. They were having having fun. Andy Cohen, I will just say this before we get to our story. We can't get enough of I heard him say on his radio show. He thinks Wendy Williams could have been like the next Oprah. Except for the fact, she's managed by her husband, and everyone hates them. Everyone hates suspect. Give him her go guests or anything? Well, just that. She could have she could. Be having more. Oh, yeah. She has very see less gas. Yeah. And he said he's been on ten years, which is a pretty big thing. That's a big darn deal. But he's like her husband hates everybody. And he everyone would be like Oprah. She could have a TV show. She could have this. You could have that. He has that factor. But yet she lets her husband manager, which I never heard anyone say that before. But we knew no one liked him where I guess we didn't know that we know the Daily Mail said he's been having side piece for several years anyway. All right. Well, let's get to her story. We can't get enough of which is the most awkward guests at Andy Cohen has ever ever ever had in the clubhouse. Even Andy tweeted after it was over daddy needs a drink. All right. Okay. Second chance friendship. We're like all we hearing together we help out with, you know, full carnival, the fundraisers got four kids. And so I'm sure she's really busy. But I really feel like voiding I think maybe sometimes her expectations get a little out of whack. There was a little something around that crash here to elaborate, well, recently, we had the ban fundraiser made a comment that she wished I had tried harder. And I heard her say that under her breath to another parent and that didn't sit. Well. I just kind of decided I was done for a while. I wasn't talking. We're talking about everyone in general, not just you. I was just complaining about everyone. Okay. But even even if that's the case like I feel part of the everyone group here still I didn't I heart second chance friendship every Tuesday at seven thirty on Jason and Alexis in the morning on mytalk one zero seven one everyone..

Turned to me and said he Ryan really could have been an actor. I mean it. They never had to play Jackson Monka Montgomery from guiding all my. I had to play him who's love interest is Susan Lucci. Who Tuesday Lucci played Erica, she came to the scotch. Right. And and what's amazing? Is you told me? And clearly I now believe this since you just said Jackson from guiding. You said you've never seen Jackson Montgomery on all my children. And yet you did a spot on impersonation, which is. Erica. Erica, I forgive my line. You're leaving me for him again. I'm starting to feel ill. Is there? A doctor in the house. What we're doing Laverne? And Shirley, we do in saved by the bell. We're doing children's. Childrens slash guiding light, Gino Christine Aguilera is going to be on. Trapped in a genie bottle. We're also doing a top gun reboot, which I'm very excited about that's all like, I love Lucy. Yes, looks exactly like. Looking at old footage. They really anybody does the makeup and the way than they to looks. Very iconic dressed up as for Halloween one year. I'd look just like her. But it's like if you do the makeup the right way on the lead. The lab yet. It's all about the hair, and it really she's really it's she has such a specific look it's just about getting that lip wide enough and the hair and once you have the way in wide enough, you're fine. Kelly Ripa is with us. We also. I was telling her that I had to do a spanks fitting have you guys ever spanks? Oh, yeah. I understand this question. I you know, what it is. I'm going out after the show. You. You have only dated women. Finish your son who don't. You have a false idea of what women? You've dated like superhero versions of women. Women wear spanks through I had the privilege of deciding whether or not to put the banks that strap over your shoulder or wants to just go around your waist on. Well, let that be a surprise. We shouldn't be able to see it. Covers it up. Yeah. I went with the half. I know. But that's a big mistake. That's a rookie mistake. Is it listen anywhere. You can feel oxygen is where the fat and skin. She said your skin seeps like mice through cracks in walls. But they're younger than me. So they're right now, they don't have that yet. We never have any laughs are fun when I'm here. Not as much. No. I do. I hope you had an easy fast. I did. Thank you. And it was made easier by Houston had everything under control era. Yes, we had to convince Joe that Burton and air really gay. He did not believe it. He would not accept it. He refused accepted either. They'll come on rubber Ducky together. Hello. And you and you guys talked about Susan Lucci. Looking into radiating said seventy one. Yeah. I saw I saw in a restaurant a couple of weeks ago innovating nobody sheila's good realize those great. Yeah. She really she's tiny thing. So real tiny little thing. She does not hard. You know, it's easier to look good. A lot of you to age. A slip of a thing. So how you doing guys good everything? Well, what we really talked about. What is gripping the nation? Now, you may have missed it yesterday because you were atoning for many of your sins. This cavenaugh thing with the Democrats who I think the Democrats are despicable what they're doing to. This man is unconscionable and the Republicans had better stand firm and confirm him on November. Or they might as well just wave the white flag of surrender and say, okay. Democrats take the house take the Senate, go socialist you win. We can't even beat you at these tactics. This is gonna shock you. I don't agree with what you just took our big three stories this morning fight continues over Brett Kavanagh's accusers. Testimony. The Republicans want to get it done quickly and move on. Also in the big three the president visits. The hurricane ravaged Carolina's tells people have a good time. Yeah. This is. This is really pathetic. This is the best. You have got on this because FEMA has functioned very well Trump was down there doing. Great stuff in North Carolina. And all you can seize on is a comedy says. That's just one of his verbal tics when he says, you gonna have a great time. It is. What said that's all it is you can find it brilliant, examples of them saying have a great time and you come in this morning and you've seized on that you mean like in Puerto Rico? We're gonna help. Thank you have a good time. Time. He's also complaining about his attorney general that that before. She has a tendency to repeat themselves much like me and rather got the big three. A Brooklyn high school teacher has been arrested on child porn charges. Just an awful story. We'll delve into that one. We have your Mets tickets at seven thirty of the turning point contests at eight thirty and we have free tickets to see the ban Chicago at nine thirty my my slight disagreement with you about the spectacle. Democrats is that this guy is going to be sitting on the court for thirty or forty years. She could slow down folks, you could just wait a little bit. You can look into this. There's there's another woman has come forward and said she remembered you got it wrong. She had retr-. She's retracted what she said she came out on Facebook and said, she remembered it, and then when NPR tractor down, she retracted everything that she said on Facebook, you see selective reporting of the news. I don't believe that. She retracted what she said. No, she didn't she. Yes. She did lend I heard it this morning. She retracted. Facebook because she wanted to express solidarity with she retracted it. All right. So don't give me that. Well, I'm giving it to you. Anyway, I think really what's the rush. Just tell me what the rushes if he's going to be sitting on the bench. Now, I don't know if what she says happened happened. And I've also said many times, I don't know if this is you know, this immediately disqualifies him from sitting on the bench. I don't know the answers to those questions these are for more important minds to figure out, but I do know these going to be sitting there for three or four decades. Let's get the damn thing. Right. What's the rush? How come if Dianne Feinstein knew about this in August? She didn't bring it up until now, you don't think that was a political tactic that come on line open your eyes. It was a political tactic on the part of the Democrats to destroy this, man. And then to push this nomination passed the midterms when they know they'll get the house, and they hope they can get the Senate, and then they will block Trump forever from putting someone on the supreme court gave me here. This is about. David garland, and they gave this guy here. And they've extended the Republican extended the invitation for Mrs Ford to come to Washington. So they can hear her side of the story. And she say, no, no, no FBI investigation. She is part of this too of trying to delay this until after the midterms. That's all it is. And the Republicans must not go weak at the knees over this. Explain to me why the midterms are so important on this issue. My God, what am I talking to hear does he understand what the Democrats will do if they get control of the Senate if the Democrats win control of the Senate the next thing they will say is. Well, there's no need to move ahead on the nomination. Votes timeout. So also, I see what you say. So you're saying that if they get this thing done now and get them confirmed negotions supreme court, and it doesn't matter if the Democrats exactly yes. And he's up for the next time, you know, for the next person whose who Trump throws up there when? The democrat destruction machine can dig substantiated allegations against that person to at least listed Democrats are honest about it. About what is wrong with you know, it's dirty politics. And they know it as opposed to the Republicans are listening. We won't give me a hearing, Merrick garland. Viva Republicans were not dishonest about that. They said this is how we're gonna play politics on this one. I read Harald's tweet Lynn. Listen to your one-sided claptrap, Lou. Here you go Joe is gonna pile on ask you a question. Okay. I'm gonna give you an answer. Okay. The allegations as they stand now against Cavanaugh. Yes, he kinda groped her party of groped her. She thought she was raped. If if in fact that is true that disqualifies were you listening five minutes ago. Hello, my were dot I said five minutes ago. And I've said earlier this week. I don't know if this is a disqualification, I just don't know this is for everyone else to decide. Well, who who's who's everyone? Side. Also for the Senate. You don't think it's a big deal? I just say this, very, it's very you have to be very careful these days with me too. You can't say I will do good deal. I'm just saying if what happens in high school is that enough to disqualify somebody thirty or forty years later. I don't have the answer to that question. Okay. I don't know the answer. Now, if more details come out and of more details came out to the absolutely lied about it. And this happened one thousand percent, and he's been lying under oath. Yeah. Well, they they've already told him that. And he's testified I think under oath. I don't believe he has testified. That's what they warned him. If you testify, and it is wrong and incorrect will be prosecuted. Right. Yeah. Yes. Also. And he and he's prepared to say it didn't happen. Adamantly denies you out there saying, oh, another woman came forward to confirm what Mrs Ford is saying, well, she retracted she retracted what you give me that NPR. I heard it this morning. I'll look at him. You're you're half asleep. Yeah. I was not. Well, why does she put a whole thing on Facebook? And then retracted that makes no sense Riedel. No she wanted to express solidarity. And she's also on the left and she wants to pile on and help destroy Cavanaugh until they questioned her. And then she's oh, well, no you, and I really I didn't. I really have. No now, it's that's what she said. I have no knowledge of what happened. Well, let's see. Now, we live in the world, which is the world you Democrats want to live. And where the allegation is all make the allegation destroyed. I gotta come back again you guys because the allegations flying again every democrat out there. No, yes.
