"Team. All right. How about I'll give you the bears plus forty one hundred. Plus, forty, one hundred and that's that's the bear. So just to give you an idea. Is got to be plus like. Ten thousand. There plus thirty, five, thousand. So if you. If you put one hundred dollars on the giants to win the Super Bowl and they did you'd win thirty, five, thousand dollars. Now, the jets are a larger underdog than that. You want to take a guess awarded. That would be fifty thousand. Yeah. Okay. Well, it's like buying a lottery ticket. No it's I think it's worse than. A lottery ticket there's some chance this there's no chance. So. Yeah. Plus I've never I don't think I've ever seen a plus fifty. Thousand to win the Super Bowl. That is a rough one. That is a that is a really rough one. Win Totals. You still have up there so The jets after being a win three and looking way they are what do you think the over-under win total is for them right now while right now right now. So okay. I'll look at the schedule I think the win totals gotTA BE, three. Okay three and a half okay. It's three and a half. So I actually I mean I love the under on how could you not meet three and thirteen to fourteen? One, hundred, sixteen, I mean any one of those hits you telling me that team's GonNa, win four games and the giants are the nine. York they get. They got to be a little bit higher just simply because they play really in a horrific division. Gavitt, they do have a tough schedule. We talked about Owen tennis possibility for them. Yeah That was that. was going to be pretty decent. The cowboys defenses terrible. Yeah. Okay. I've got it. The giants right now You nailed it four and a half giant four and a half over under four hundred, which is. The worst two teams in football as far as the lines go, there isn't another team who is either four and a half or three, and half the Jaguars are five. There's a five and a half in there. I think with the bengals are the bengals are four and a half Sago see the one that I will say about you know you can say whatever you want about the Bengals and you can make fun of them but. You Know Joe Boroughs Got Ninety one pass completions in three weeks a rookie record by far, and by the the other thing that they actually score points. While you're making our point here without pants jets are and Adam, gays thing is like. Now, they do have some weapons on offense that is true. The the Cincinnati Bengals have guys to throw while the t higgins has turned out to be a great draft choice for them. We haven't seen Denzel mims yet for the jets. That's the thing is so frustrating that here you draft this kid you're trying to plug holes. So Douglas during the draft tried to plug holes and the first two picks he had or two positions of need for the jets wide receiver and. Tackle. So he he went after both positions that were positions of need. Yeah he did and one of them looked great so far and the other one we haven't even seen on the field and I'd like to I'd like to see him Sam Become Joe Borough and Higgins..
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson sets NFL passing touchdown record
"Seahawks off to a three and Oh start for the first time since Pete Carroll took him to that Super Bowl triumph in 2013 coaches. He laid it with the Hawks record setting 14 touchdown passes in three games in all of the touchdown passes. That's just such a crazy number to be thrown out there in three weeks. Time who had known Seattle hung on yesterday to beat the Cowboys. Now they go play the dolphin Sunday in Miami. Injuries to Jamal Adams and Chris Carson don't appear to be long term. ERM, according to coach

Aaron Rodgers vs. Drew Brees: Two QBs chase second Super Bowl ring
"NFL tonight. What a match up to future First Ballot Hall of Fame quarterback So the Green Bay Packers traveled to New Orleans to take on New Orleans Saints. And so it's Rodgers versus braised breeze versus Roger NHS. And to the first two weeks, Boy, Rogers has played lights out nearly perfect. Drew Brees has not. What does it portend for tonight's matchup? I think they're definitely is that element of just getting everybody same page everybody in sync and conflict with the guys that we have with the system that we have and everything that we're going to get back on track. We're up. I knew we were in a different place starting this year than last year, even though we don't have the offseason programming. You know, Today's and training camp was different. I really felt better. But my field in the offense and kind of what we on paper and soft about doing a lot of stuff has played itself out in the first two weeks. That's two quarterbacks breeze and Rogers. I don't think Breeze is going to be able to catch up with Aaron Rodgers tonight. If this turns into a track meet. I don't think the Saints could keep up now.
States begin to lift coronavirus restrictions, many concerned for health risk
"To more than seven million Americans being infected the death toll over 204,000 now far more than any other country. Here's correspondent Daniel Bacchus, New York City continues to open with caution, making outdoor dining permanent. I feel like it's really nice to get back to normal and like I also think it's really good for the restaurant, but others are taking a controversial approach. Florida's governor is lifting our restrictions on bars, restaurants and other businesses were prepared. If we see an increase, we're not closing. Anything going forward, we're gonna be able to host the Super Bowl in February. Here in California. Health officials say there could be an 89% increase in Corona virus related hospitalizations over the next month. people tested positive for Koven 19 in a single day, marking the first time since June. 5th that has happened
Ryan Fitzpatrick Scores on Strong Quarterback Draw
"More done. If it's magic, he's Mr September. Ryan Fitzpatrick last night leading the Dolphins over the Jags, and it was pretty impressive there. That was one of those performances that you go to a couldn't do that. Ryan Fitzpatrick had a spectacular game. Caught a pass runs for a touchdown throws. A couple of touchdown passes completes 90% of his passes. He is Mr September. Yes, MMA club. You can't say you caught a pass. He threw it in the defense of lime and bad id her right back to him. Didn't count. It's a catch, like Nick Foles in the Super Bowl writing. No, it's not. But he did catch a
AP Source: Chargers' team doctor punctured Taylor's lung
"Adam, Schefter just reported that tyrod Taylor. The reason why he did not get to play this past week in an intern air bear started for the first time against Kansas City chiefs at ended with hitting a fifty eight yard field goals and another fifty eight yard field goal. But a highly contested matchup between the chargers the chiefs it is now being reported that the chargers team doctor accidentally punctured his own quarterback tyrod Taylor's lung just before kick-off. Sunday while trying to administer a painkilling injection to the quarterbacks cracked ribs league and team sources have told ESPN. According to my sources. Adam Schefter says, now, this sounds terrible whenever you give your I read this and like especially the way she afterward it there the chargers team doctor punctured his own quarterbacks lungs, and that sounds absolutely bad and I was kind of mind blown by this believe it or not. We are given a heads up on this yesterday but we're not a big news breaking world I don't want to dive into the news breaking world because there's a bunch of Peron in sharks in. Going ever dive in there. So I asked around to a couple former teammates in friends of mine that have maybe gotten the same procedure how the hell can something like this happens this sounds terrible in the answer I got from everybody who has had this procedure done, which by the way is marketing, which is in the Novacaine. There's another Cain the mark which is. A numbing agent basically that gets shot directly into the area that is injured for instance, in this particular case, the cracked ribs. Now, the reason why it's done. So close to game time is because it only lasts four four and a half hours so they can't get it done in the morning because the numbness wear off, they can't get it done the night before because. Off they have to do it right before the game, which is why it was surprised to everybody that air bear was starting over tyrod Taylor, including Air Bear, and I would assume the entire chargers offense. Now, what happens though just like whenever you're in surgery now granted this happened to the people I talked to harm percents short happened to tyrod Taylor but just like whenever you go in for surgery for anything, they tell you the possible side effects this could. Potentially happen because surgery this could potentially happen. It's like basically this small print at the bottom of contracts like, Hey, this is all the good looking come from this but also this can happen every person that I talked to got a similar treatment as this said that they were told by the doctor that there was a chance that along could get punctured in the process because when you're giving a shot into the ribs, the long obviously is right there one. A. Hundred percent sure of tyrod Taylor. Was told that before we got the shock. I'm just telling you what I was told by people who got very the exact same situation here free. The bruised ribs are cracked ribs allegedly this is a much more common practice than even I knew about I've probably seen guys potentially get this shop before and didn't even know this was happening because I had nothing to do with me but I guess this is a pretty Common practice whenever you have a crab or bruise rib because it works like a charm I was told and I was also told that they shoot it a little bit above wherever the crack or the bruises in. Let's just settling in for four and a half five hours. You feel amazing. It's that next day you see more that night when it wears off that you feel absolutely terrible thus why I am incredibly happy that I played a position where no motherfuckers. where I could potentially need that. So that is what happened. We obviously tease piece for the punctured lung and the cracked ribs for tyrod. Taylor but from my knowledge of my research calling people that got a similar thing, they said that they were told that was a possible outcome. It's like point one percent that it could happen. But in surgery just like anything in the medical field, there is obviously a chance at something bad to happen it happened tyrod Taylor. I'm not giving an excuse for the doctor do your fucking job right? Especially whenever the people that told me, they said it's like a ninety nine. percent chance it goes well and nothing happens. So if you get that one percent and it's a failure, obviously the doctor did not do here and I would assume would have to answer for that. But that is what I've been told about this entire process. That is why it was such a shock to everybody including air bear who said he was surprised in ancient said, let's go and do this. So I think that is why everything happened the way it is I've been told I'm not a doctor they are not doctors but a punctured lung on punctures itself somehow I don't know that means I guess. Shout out to the human body for puncturing itself. He could play week to week is really could potentially play next week. What do you say day breaking news just from in report he's not GonNa play this week harbored is going to start. Okay. So here we go. There's big news not playing this week. So as long isn't completely on punctured and also. I think that is why because the way one down in him losing the starting job was actually the chargers fault that is why Anthony Lynn came out and said unless. tyrod is he's still are started because I would assume Anthony Len former player was like we gotta fuck this guy here. So whenever he was asked about who's the starter even after incredible debut by Air Bear in the game that they had against the Super Bowl Champs Anthony Lynn probably was. I mean, we couldn't say it obviously because worn one hundred percent. Sure because at the time they're probably still reviewing and Anthony Lane. Prada. Didn't get a chance to do a full checkup on house whatever the case maybe didn't and he didn't want to be like. tyrod Taylor's by the way. We're the reason he's out and he is we made this disease like they. Couldn't say that. So that's why I think I was confused by the way insulin handled the question I think a lot of people are potentially confused but now we know air bear starting this weekend tyrod Taylor not only has cracked ribs but also punctured lung hopefully that unpunctual quickly we're not doctors they have no idea but it is nice to know that this type of thing does happen has happened in the past we probably. Haven't heard about it for whatever reason, and this is something that happens on a regular basis with success. So it's not like they were going above and beyond to make him put him on the field. This is something that has happened in the past
How will the Philadelphia Eagles get back on track
"All. Right time. Now for the weekly awards in case you're unfamiliar will explain them to you. This seem straightforward. Doesn't it on the Lam that'd be the Philadelphia Eagles Starting Owen to Mike, mentioned earlier nineteen and eighteen. Since they won a super bowl, they got the bengals coming to town Bettag must-win. You gotTa beat the Bengals Yeah I mean. Look at the Eagles back to the wall and you go back and look at you know where they are and what they're doing and how and where their talent bases and what kind of off season they had I mean remember now this Philadelphia Team. Going into next year and they can get rid of a bunch of players going into next year they're like eighty, five, fifty, million above the cap if the cap stays exactly the same. So now they are they not very good. Are they going to be good? You know they got to get rid of some of these guys and some of these young players that there's counting on the good players just haven't come through forum as of yet. So we'll see how it works out but right now I'm a you lose that home game. I mean this town's this town's about ready to explode I mean just come watch. Daily News. Whatever they call that show eagles post game. That's all you need to
Should 49ers be worried about Super Bowl hangover?
"Super bowl hangover thing it's talked about a fair bit and I'll have to bring it next time on. But I've tweeted about it before and and noted that the team loses the Super Bowl auction has huge trouble making the playoffs the next year Then that's the super bowl loser not the winner. So outside of the New England, Patriots who bounced back off that Philadelphia lost that we were both there for in Minneapolis and beat the rams the next year usually look at the rams last year out of the playoffs look. The Falcons the year after they blew the twenty eight three lead out of the Playoffs Carolina hasn't won a playoff game since they were super bowl loser. So you double back over time you see it a lot. I wasn't expecting the forty niners and I'm still not to miss the playoffs. But what what's being asked to them in the NFC west where I think the best three teams are that will finish one, two, three, NFC, the AFC may change my mind about that if either of the Ohio teams steps up in his really good they both lost yesterday. In different circumstances but I think this is the only division that can necessarily happened in some people like the NFC north I should point out because they liked the lions but we saw what transpired with him yesterday. So it's GonNa be a tough decision to win games in that, and that's one of the forty niners are really really gonNa want back and for Jimmy Garoppolo non no interceptions but there was just nothing exceptional about his play yesterday and we saw a lot more check down as well to to Mostert than than we wouldn't necessarily expected look you. Also take George Kit off the field, and that's a factor and a needs to get talked about and discussed that he had to play a good chunk of the game a game they end up losing by four points at home, and he had to play good chunk of the without George cadle do that to the cardinals take the Andrei also field for for a couple of possessions and Arizona struggled a lot more than

CoD League Layoffs
"Let's go. Let's switch gears a bit. Can we talk about? Do Business we call of duty leak and look. It's another opportunity for me to you know rag on them a bit. But this was an article from Dallas News, DOT COM and. And the article, the headline was Dallas Empire partways with three time world champion cloister prior to twenty twenty, one season with the twenty twenty one cdl season moving to a four on four format. The Empire had to make a tough decision. So basically, just to summarize the article next year call of Duty League is going to a foreign four format versus a five on five format. And that means. After winning the call of duty, league, championship the after the empire, which is owned by envy. I believe after they won. Now. They're essentially laying off their one of their if not the star player on their team. Which is weird right while Liam on it's it's we are dessus like this would be like if like three super bowls, the Patriots were like you know what Tom Thanks Take Yeah, you really you really contributed bet they're going to a sixteen and format and. It's weird. Because presumptively look an I'm not an expert on call duty scale, and maybe he is not mechanically as strong in this last season is he wasn't early seasons. If you win three world championships, you're probably pretty good. Seems like a keeper to me what's going on Axel like you follow the Collagen more than like what's behind this kind of bombshell shift? Yeah super curious stuff. Obviously the context of this to everyone's kind of playing from home. Everyone's kind of navigating through all this cove stuff. So everything's Kinda different in general I think there's a lot of fun tangents we get into call itself. I'm sure you guys have explored conversations of of of of free to play versus the yearly model which I think is the hardest thing that games like Halo and call of duty of had to overcome the fact that they're used to releasing a game every year for sixty bucks. How does that work with the East sports? Ecosystem. If your game is constantly changing, you're expecting a new pro seen to arise from new game every year versus other games like starcraft, which has been the same, which will which will be the same versus other games that are just completely free to play and only have updates every. So often likely legends and fortnight so. Ton Nick into potentially there but at the end of the day. This roster move call of duty in in closed her the constant changes. I think there are always going to be tough I mean just the fact that this change is happening with the League, the roster changes having to be made it clearly didn't seem like there's a lot of heads up given to players and teams, which is a big deal when it's such a massive franchise chef, the vestment and big deal for so many people so. Yeah Dude I'm Kinda of be Willard about this as y'all are I was mentioning earlier when we were talking for the show the fact that. We see a lot of east sports teams with like really nice. Really good subs in, and that's the thing that gets me with this cloister comes into this team's veteran As a leader to his players and I think that obvious first of all they they release a lot of their comes and it's pretty clear that places leader these guys not only that he's older than these guys and he's had more titles. I'm sure. I'm sure all his teammates would say the same thing. So I feel like I would have loved to see some capacity were still involved as a power sub on the team because guys in east sports it's not just going to be these this roster verse Dash Roster All. The time. We're GONNA have teams that throw in a sub in game two maybe they throw on a seven game five they're on their specialist in game one so on and so forth. So I kinda get confused when I think about that dynamic is like how do you let go of this guy when he's a leader? He's one of the truest veterans of the scene is clearly skilled and you have the potential ever power sub who can still be a leader for your team. So there's a lot of questions there for me. I answer that question for you because I think, I know what it is I. Can I mean Paul Area? Oh I have a theory you better have. Your theories probably going to be the same as my theory I mean. This this is like cost-cutting, right? The like these teams are all burning prodigious amounts of cash. Call of duty Lee activision blizzard. Done much on the Economic Split Front I'm sure right I guarantee you the honest messaging from activision blizzard. His guys were not expanding this year. You know don't bet on any increase in dollars coming in from the league. Three three next year. But so so the very simple they look at the roster and they go who's the most expensive player it's our oldest guy three time champ like. But he's probably the highest player and they go. Well, we killing and the reality is, and I'm totally speculating now I've never seen this guy's contract but I'm expecting a lot of these contracts are done to in once right two years plus one right so he's played out. It's a free break. There's no penalty fee for it. Maybe some other guys are in the I truly suspect it's economic. It's either that or there is such a radical change coming to the game beyond the four four format Matt that. Like the seniority and the expertise disadvantage that they believed that the new game looks so different from the old game, they don't want to see the game championship but I I wa-. Today all. 2020 NFL season to kick off with COVID-19 safety protocols
"The NFL season kicks off tonight the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs House, the Houston Texans that it will be limited in person attendants and increased safety protocols. Health experts have been working around the clock with league officials to make sure this year's season is as safe as possible. Dr. Allen Sills is chief medical officer for the NFL. Well, we think what we're doing here is important. It's important because what we're trying to do is find a way to mitigate risk and at the same time resume some of the activities that we all love and enjoy, and I think that's something that's important, not just to the NFL or professional sports, but really, to all segments of our society. NFL unmasks real football as Texans-Chiefs kicks off season
"Season officially kicks off tonight in Kansas City, the defending Super Bowl champs chiefs. They will host the Houston Texans at the Air ahead Stadium. It's the first game actually after the entire preseason. Was wiped out due to the Corona virus pandemic, and there about a half dozen teams that will allow some fans in the stands. But others air kind of taking a wait and see approach The Raiders are saying because they're now in Las Vegas. No fans all year. They've already made the announcement in this brand new, beautiful stadium. Dallas is allowing. They are along the 40, Niners said. Okay, first two games, no fans, and then we'll see after that. Yeah, so, And it also depends in California, particularly because I think the governor with you know his his orders. They're not allowing fans and stadiums anywhere in California right now. Not right now. They're gonna have to get approval from the governor's office before that happens. Speaking of
The National Anthem in Sports: What's Next?
"If you got an a time machine four years ago and set it for twenty twenty, your eyes would get wide for all kinds of reasons and the site of full teams superstars kneeling during the anthem with support from their coaches and owners and leaks. That would be one of the most startling. Players coaches. Game officials alike, all taking me in Orlando, our full moment before the game during the national anthem all of the players wearing black lives matter shirts most of them taking a knee including Naperville Central Alum Casey short and team made Julia. Earth's clearly emotions running high for both of them in that moment with a moment of silence here and respect pre-game in support of social justice seventeen different Texas rangers players took a knee during that moment including meadow door Robinson. Torino's NFL is kicking off tonight and whether you cosigned the venue of his protest or not Colin Kaepernick did prove something that both sides of the aisle can agree up. There is no ritual more sacred in American sports than the. Star spangled banner. It would be crazy to underestimate how it makes us feel. Fans as citizens on all kinds of levels, and if you're a musician performing the anthem, I'm testing the microphone check one, two, your the one who channels almost emotions and identities in that pregnant moment. Can you hear that John Batiste is from New Orleans. Say Julia. Grad. Who among many hats leads the band for the late show with Stephen Colbert. His latest take on the national anthem played before the first game of the NBA Restart in Orlando back in July. When players took the court amid questions of how they keep the focus on social justice from inside the bubble. Tonight's presentation of the national anthem has been recorded by musician producer activist and Louisiana Native John Booties. This great to be here. Thank you for having me. So I wanna know what went through your mind when you're contemplating how to perform this particular song at this particular moment. What did it mean to have this opportunity to remotely address this community amid a broader social movement in our country? Asking these questions of how we fit into society and what? Society owes us in what society continues to maintain the status quo have been questions that I've been wrestling with prior to. All of the social unrest that we're seeing. Wrestling with these questions in dealing with the dice, sport influences of black music and really chronicling my own personal experiences, a black man in America and as a musician from the south, and you know this this moment presented itself. And it really felt organic to step into it. The anthem really being this combination, this historical document if you will in our country. There's also there seems to be a flavor of like to my on educated yearly southern rap kind of feeling the beats that you put in there. There's the orchestra sound of drums. There's maybe some Hendrix. So I just want you to clarify what went into your arrangement. Era Pablo you heard a lot. So many strains of the black American experience. Me Bay from the south ahead of bounce being. That is something that I grew up here in all over the streets in New Orleans. I. Picked up the Guitar Midway through with this kind of nod to Jimi. Jimi Hendrix version from. Woodstock The Blues Music which came from sharecroppers and slaves that then evolved into rock and roll and RB. Adding that to the anthem with the classical timpanist and the cello being the counter line to what I was playing on the piano. Gives it this epic quality that I feel? I ask for a deserves. If. They were musicians. What kind of activism would my heroes portray in a moment like this o'hare? And Counter John Lewis. Out Gradually, but we wanted to be free now. mlk My poor little children. Will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of skin but by the content of character, I have a dream. Now, John Is there a particular rendition of the song throughout history that resonates with you. is so many but you have to pick Whitney. You know come on man. Yes. This was at ninety one super bowl at the beginning of the first. Gulf War. In ESPN history of that performance says the NFL wanted Whitney's version sped up and re recorded but. Whitney said No. WIT WITH KNEE HOUSTON. Sings the anthem the way that it should be saw. Law. John I gotta say the Marvin Gaye Nineteen Eighty three NBA all star game anthem that is the one song I have played at a party and people weren't immediately sure what it was, but they were down man it took like maybe ten seconds you realize wait a minute this is the star spangled better I-. Marvins version of the anthem shows you. that. You know. I will culture and tradition to make lemonade. You. Could take something and you could filter it through the black. Experience. And what comes out on other side is just as soulful and is refreshing and as completely dope as anything.

Like Oh my God the chiefs are GonNa win the Super Bowl and it was a well-earned win and one that didn't look particularly like it was heading in this direction even halfway through the fourth. That's quarter the chiefs to me. Their players and coach Kinda remind me of the fans. It's been so long since they got that Super Bowl in Randy read. It's been so long a guy like Frank Clark find his way there. Honey Badger finds his way to Kansas City to make this happen. Terrell suggs is lucky enough to come along for the ride at the end of the year. A lot of I just find their way to Kansas City and end up winning this one and you're right fourth quarter at midway through the fourth quarter forty nine hundred ninety five point six percent win probability. I know that's not your stat. The latest evidence that people need to stop talking about win probability it means nothing other than a twitter talking boy. It means it means it's unlikely the other team's GonNa win and now know Kyle Shanahan. Would it peaked at about ninety nine point wait. Six percent against the Patriots early in the fourth quarter always had ninety five point six percent. The percentage. I don't think takes into account Patrick Mahomes uh-huh it just doesn't or the chiefs offense or Andy Reid like the way that you have to dominate Patrick mahomes and make his life. If uncomfortable for sixty minutes I think is the hardest thing to do in the NFL. The forty niners balled out on defense. Not Unlike I believe the the Seahawks balled out on defense against the broncos. They did so many things right for the first three quarters. I think in a lot of scenarios and with a lot of quarterbacks that game would have been twenty seven to six at with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter and they're never could've been a comeback but mahomes got out of a lot of plays blaze. That could have gone worse. He had a lot of negative. Plays the chiefs defense. Did just enough and it just shows you. Yeah you can. You can do a lot while. They held him to five point three yards per play which is a very very low number for the chiefs and she's still put up thirty one points in nine drives. They barely have the ball. They still went over not surprising. Because that's what they've been doing for for months and months and if we had one kernel of information going into the for the last two weeks to to base our analysis on that the chiefs and Patrick Mahomes I would open the third quarter with back to back picks by Patrick Mahomes and that the niners would be nestling a twenty two ten lead minutes into into the fourth. You would think this is a perfect setup for San Francisco to run away with this thing but if you give Patrick Mahomes even ten minutes to operate and it gets hot. Aw everything's off the table. Fifty fifty two and a half minutes of game time the niners down day and I remember thinking as has the game was reaching as it's ticking through the fourth quarter and they have a twenty two ten lead and thinking what made the chief. So unstoppable all when they were humming the regular season but especially in those two comebacks in the AFC playoffs it. was that big play ability. That the niners there's through their dominant front four. Were taking away. Mahomes running for his life just by his brilliance kept the game close because is almost any other quarterback decided. Lamar Jackson has a couple sacks. Fumbles and the game gets away. Like what Von Miller Cam Newton a few years back but he was able to stay on his feet. Keep the game from getting away and the what really sticks out to me at that moment again. Midway through the fourth quarter after the tyreek hill catches is overturned on review. And you feel the entire building is psyching up. It feels like the niners are about to make the big play. Plays away from winning the super. Aw It is third and a miles third and fourteen. I believe third and fifteen and I leaned to my cousin Matt. I said the most likely play. Is You get try to get half of this back and then make a manageable fourth-down fourth and five and get it done. But no that's not what the chiefs do that's not how they operate and even a game where they never made any big plays with the season on the line mahomes dropback. This time found tyreek Hill West on a busted coverage and that changed everything. It was fun to watch. Because you see Mahomes uh-huh dropped back and unfurl the ball before tyreek hill breaks open. He doesn't even know where tyreek Hill is on the field. He just lets it go as far as it can. A huge edge play in the forty niners secondary. Let down their pass rush that play where they lost Tehreek Hill was at Davies. More Defensive Pass interference in the end zone serve richler intuition walk and getting beat by Sammy. Watkins off the line of scrimmage a lot of big plays there by the secondary allowed to listen to that. Let's listen to that. Call the big forty four yard because a really changed everything. The game was never the same after that. Play four-man.

These these behind the bad. Welcome in to a post Super Bowl behind the best podcast. I'm Doug kazarian. We're taping this on Wednesday. February six Mr. director. John Murray will be joining us to. Gather all thoughts pick up the pieces, and let us know how everyone did with the with the Super Bowl KAI? Did you see that crow on the desk? I left. Checking Jackie if you saw that I'm slow from that you hungry to eat that crow not hungry at all no touchdowns in the first half that feel you know, like I got to get your props man. No pun intended. That was awesome. Yeah. You know blind squirrel finds now we'll get into it with Mr. director. But look there's this the the value there. That's what we talked about it and say, it was definitely going to happen. Even pumped interrupted you to reinforce that. I didn't think was going to happen. But I felt like hundred one was ridiculous. And look these types of games occur. All the time. Usually it's a Jacksonville colts game six nothing or whatever that score was during the regular season. But there were a lot of things that suggested not only low scoring just it could happen like that. But anyways, I don't wanna pull muscle Pat myself on the back to our fleet. I was on the Rams as well. A lean at least, and then, you know. Some other props all head, but it was fun fun. The trash talk your almost almost as if like you predicted Rutgers to beat Michigan records won the game. Almost I mean being at the McCartney twins won the SuperBowl. That's almost like ruckers. There you go in my world as records of all of Scotto h earing, right? So big news in the NBA with some trades. And Anthony Davis mass will what will recap that? At the end looking forward to Mr. director Chi had what how did you take in the Super Bowl stay at home cooked for the family had some laws come over. Matt. It was I mean, it was not an entertaining game. I think half my house was watching the bachelor something come on now after on everybody kind of scattered. That's blasphemy. Well. Blame Bella check. Yeah. All right. That's fair. Well, man, the season is over. We'll get into it. By the way. There was not a record handle for the Super Bowl in Nevada Nevada gaming. It was lower than last year. It had the Nevada gaming had announced a record hand on for the last five years. So not this year, obviously, other states contributing so in terms of legal betting in the United States. It was a record hand when you add all the other states, and we'll get into that with Mr. director John Murray momentarily, but this is the final football podcast of the two thousand eighteen nineteen season. He started his ticket writer will handle a lot higher here in the last hour. Now, he's a racing sports. Book director of the guys at work. Your call me, Mr. director and not looking directly into my eyes people in new staff to sear kind of Seinfeld as move where we just rotate the guys the material doesn't get stale happened in between hot tub and. ESPN? Kicking is for losers and boy was that evident in the Super Bowl. Mr. director good to connect with you as we put a bow on this two thousand eighteen two thousand nineteen NFL season. You can believe it at and I were sitting back there at the end of the game. And we actually agreed. With New England's decision to kick. The field goal to go up thirteen to three ending the game winning the Super Bowl that was one time where I actually thought kicking the field goal was the right? The right decision. Interesting. I did not give in Gus Cousy looked so shaky earlier in the the distance that was needed for first down. Well, we had some we had a little bias there. I gotta give you full disclosure. We really wanna kick the field goal if they if the game had landed between eight and fourteen points that would have been very very big loser for us that betting on that was available at five hundred to one here at the super book..

"So you know, what surprises me about this the first Super Bowl I ever covered as a television. So I have to play in three of them. And it's amazing because I told my wife, and maybe I'm just kind of a dick. But I told my wife I was like, hey, listen, I'm here to actually like win a game. I'm not this is not a vacation for me. I know you and the kids are gonna come down. It's gonna be great. And now I have to give my wife credit because she she'll play the heavy like, I'm like you deal with the tickets you deal with the people you deal with the west. I don't want. I don't even want to be bothered with that you deal with your parents in my parents, and you know, brother-in-laws and everything else. Right. I don't want any of that stuff. I don't I don't want to answer one of those questions. I don't want. Anybody calling me about any tickets or anything of that nature? So she's awesome. She handled all that stuff. And I just told her, hey, listen, I'll have dinner with you guys. Like you here, I'll have dinner Thursday night and Friday night. And then basically, you're not gonna see me Saturday and also gonna do is hang out with dinner with you guys. On Thursday and Friday the rest time, and I'm preparing to win a football. And this is a business trip. I'll see you guys after we win the game on Sunday. We'll have a great time. But you know, you have to understand what we're here for but the first Super Bowl ever care covered as a member of of ESPN was the Rams in New England, and it was in New Orleans, and Mike I was shocked at the level of just the level of craziness in the city the coverage the radio row, the people who come here to cover this game and all the players from around the league like as a player if I played in the Super Bowl, I went to it. If I didn't get into the playoffs. It didn't make it in the Super Bowl to the Super Bowl. I never even thought about going to a Super Bowl, and you know, and traveling around radio row and try to build my brand. And I'd never went to one. So I was actually literally shocked at the amount of coverage. That was that that surrounds this game is. Like it. There's nothing like it. You've got media from all around the country all around the world. You got serious media. You got not so serious media. You got people that are here to cover football. You've got people here that are cover all the other stuff that goes along with with being here. It's it's football's big event, and Roger Goodell talked about during his press conferences, kind of state of the union if you will. And he said, you know, our league is in great shape. People like our league there. There's very little about our league that that you. You know that people don't like, and I mean, the NFL has some problems, but you like to joke about all the time. It's like they're coding Teflon nothing sticks to them. And I think this year proved it again, so here we are. It's the big it's the big party for the NFL. And yeah, I mean, I it's time to come down. It's time to be seen as the time to promote stuff. It's time to build your brand. So yeah, we did fact your point. Oh, but what you're saying? Can you? You know, clearly there are teams that have gone on to win Super Bowls that you can tell they good week of preparing to play in the Super Bowl. But can you think of many examples of of maybe some of the teams you beat in Super Bowls where you sensed they they're their their approach during the week. You know, dramatically affected them on game day. Yeah. You know? It's it's interesting because you talk to you talk to people who cover those Buffalo Bills teams. And and when I was in Washington, we beat the bills in one of the Super Bowls, but you talked to the people who covered them, and they said, hey, man, like, I'm not saying they didn't work hard. I'm not saying they didn't prepare. I'm not saying they didn't study. But what I'm telling you is that you talked to those folks. And there are a lot of people will say, hey, they were out at I'm not saying they were out partying they were out doing anything wrong..
