"Where in addition to joanna's point maybe michaela coal can win a writing or that would be really deserved. Although i also think her performance in that show is particularly extraordinary and should be a part of that conversation more than it probably welby. I agree yeah. The conversation question. I think is is interesting and david you've written about this and in our newsletter with rebecca ford who is our other colleagues joined to write about wards. Just you know about how they're doing. Fica events in person. How they're trying to build buzz but things are not quite what they are. It's driving events. It's legal zoom qna's And so as phase two begins like after the nominations come out when like the campaign the actual nominees startup like la. We'll even more open than could even more possibilities like. Maybe that's what i may destroy. You really start surging back. I think there's a lot of potential for change at at that point too long long campaign season and nobody really knows what they're doing this time because we are in this strange between period and and these shows do feel so long ago that i especially news streamers like. Hbo and apple lower are looking for creative ways to to put things to keep things in people's minds and remind people really what worthy shows. I mean it's it's interesting that a lot of these nascent platforms have really strong contenders Like just contenders all getting in the mix. i mean. i remember when netflix was just starting out. We wondered if the emmys just ignore them. Because it was netflix's and they're not continue. they're not a competitor when they had like orange is the new black but now it's like a new street on the horizon and we are all eyes are on what they might field for emmy consideration. Yeah you think of hp amax is just being the shot. In florida of stories. The launch was weird and they were owned by the phone company and then got sold in lake sometimes. The app is buggy and it crashes and yet everyone loves me every sunhats hacks like they made it and lovecraft crunchy. Like i mean that's hbo proper. I guess anyway knowing what is property knowing what is. Espn what hbo max's completely. Impossible.

"Just kick it over to Jennifer Jones Lee and talk about her fabulously on point report yesterday about the rain, please share with us. So can I deny now that I ever? You know, like myself. Rely on the weather people. Yeah. Thirty right. Thanks for screwing me guys there yesterday. I was reporting. Yeah. It was just supposed to be light rain and nothing big at all. Then we have this downpour apparently just sort of parked itself for about three hours just north of downtown LA. So that's why everybody just got their serious pounding for a really long time yesterday now handled. Did you get any hail? I know or just heavy rain. Just heavy rain. But you talked to somebody right? Michelle who the hell? Yeah. They were in Long Beach. And it was like it was they said it was about larger than a p but smaller than a quarter size hail. Yeah. All right. So anyway, we'll see. But today so looks like showers this morning better chance of rain this afternoon. But now all this rain means super blooms, and it's beautiful and little rodents are running around frolicking in the you know, all of the goodness that they have to eat. Yeah. And this makes her out and about two a rattlesnake. So here is the food chain. Right. More weather occurred. More rain means those flower blooms super blooms, which people are crazy to go out. You can't see him because it's a six hour drive. Just on the fifteen. I mean, it's horrible. So that means more insects, and that means into the painted lady butterflies, and that means more rodents because they eat, and then guests who eat saw the mice the gophers and the ground. Squirrels at eat everything else that comes out of the super Blohm rattlesnakes. And it is and you have to be very careful because rattlesnakes are all over the place, especially out there in hiking land. This is one of the reasons I don't hike. Why would I even take a chance of getting bit by a rattlesnake? I had wondered if last week when people were traipsing through the poppies came across lake it's crazy. It's crazy. So anyway, and they're gonna have today at eleven thirty. I have never heard of this before, but they have to have a news conference in lake Elsinore to tell the public how they're going to deal with the super bloom poppy gawkers as they're calling. You have you seen the pictures? First of all, you have you literally have a traffic jam new on the way to New Year's Eve to Las Vegas takes you hours and hours and hours. That's along the fifteen they said five hundred people parked along the freeway just blocking everything along the freeway on the side of the road to go and traipse through the end there are trails through their everybody's ignoring it just tromping through the wildflowers. Why would you go out there and take a for example, enjoy and take a photo when you're looking at thousands of people it's like a line at Disneyland. That's what you're looking at a bride and groom who went out there to take their pictures. There were people all over behind them in their stupid sunhats with their kids. Those are going to be the worst pictures ever crazy time is this poppy presser happening eleven thirty. Okay. We're we'll be back. We'll take a break. Let's check in with Jennifer, and Wayne will not be here. Jennifer europe. Investigators who busted an unauthorized immigration consultant in LA have found dozens of personal documents among the files officials are trying.

I think you're gonna feel be love. Yeah. So get before I jump in to the whole or I did come up with an idea. We might be worthwhile to consider raising a group of individuals who have no contact with technology and are taught to turn robots off no matter what they do. Thank you. Be safe, backup yelling. What's the guy's name? The lone survivor like that in a sense except for somebody who is completely unsympathetic to all technology s. So like when sky net is saying, don't turn me off. Don't hurt me. Oh. The opposite. I think you need to raise a generation that that is used to technology -nology so much right where people are not accustomed to it, it's like, oh, it's like a person, but you need to have a generation raised among technology so that they hate it raising my robots, like MO, glee over. Yeah, me lays by me and robots, yes. So let's say that you program these robots, and then you're like, here's a baby and the whole time you for like the first twenty years of its life. It's just these mean robots, and then you find humans that are the kindest, sweetest humans in the world and put them with them. And so he knows the differences. Okay. So be your political platform Tyson. Should he ever run? We'll have just one patient zero. Is. Grazed by super spiky so they can't give him hugs very well or anything. No pressure on that individual. Yeah. I mean, I mean, just as to save mankind when we can't turn off. Yeah, no pressure. Jonah Reeves would be good. He's already done it once in a movie, but you eat out case too? Well today, how like Graham mentally to destroy robots. These seems like he could be programmed, but we've only got we've only got thirty good years left with him. Maybe those will be great years. Yeah, but I'm saying if you take someone from birth, you've got them for their twenty years of them with the robots, and then you've got him for sixty years as a savior. Okay. Yeah, I'll look do. I'll find some volunteers. We can get that program. Find somebody to donate a baby. Guys summertimes come into close, maybe a lot of you have been on trips, maybe you haven't ties. And the locals were complaining that they was just like there's poop everywhere, p garbage because humans are disgusting and they were considering the permit process. Same with here, zions national park. They're considering limiting the number of people who can go. It's like four million visitors just becoming too much. And there's there's other places like in Venice and in Croatia, people are sick and tired of the cruise ships that are coming in and dropping off these tourists in their sunhats with their vintage shirts and their khaki shorts and their flip flops, and they're just tired of it. Even though the flipside is that that's their whole economy. So Norwegian politician, he enough is enough. He seventy-one and he decided to just strip down when the cruise ship comes back. He's calling his own personal protests is getting naked and flashing cruise ships send one year old naked seventy-one year old naked. Man flashing cruise ships, but this is the problem, right? He's now becoming an attraction like you could take cruise ships to go pass knowing the naked man. He all he's done is brought more attention because people are going to go, look him up and look at the area and say, oh, I would love to go to that part of Norway's. "I'm actually friends with your wife on Pokemon go now. Thank you. That's awesome. When you put inflammation, I went ahead and. She now has two hundred friends. One of them is you. That's awesome. Sarah, do you play? You must do. Lee plays a family. We like to go out and walk around the neighborhood. As a family, you know what kills us. You know, my wife and I are twelve year olds, but our fifteen year old won't play anymore zone. I'm done with that. Oh, we had so much fun two years ago when it came out and and reasons came up Serono's, but I'll tell the rest of you is because the folks who do pokey mongo Niantic updated it considerably over the last six months and really brought back a lot of the fun of the game. You can have friends for one thing and see where they go. So thank you, Sarah, that's nice. Gifts from Kansas. And she knows where it's, I'll say, look for Sarah's gets from Kansas, and I'm surely getting some Petaluma gifts as well. That's nice. Thank you. Yeah, we're at least I should mention lease and I are now maxed out. You can only have two hundred friends, and so we both do unfortunately. So no more. No new friends. What's your favorite Pok Mon. I'm a peak chew fan me to peak achieves been a good summer for Pika chew fans. Lots of pitches in sunhats. That's right. Now I'm playing it by the way. What if I get a little distracted, it's because I see vino NAT, I've just got to pick him up. What can I do for you? Sarah. Well, I bought a used book is the twenty ten. So I know what it's quite old, but we upgraded the the ram and put an SSD drive. Good upgrades when I'm concerned about is when Mojave comes out. Do I go from high Sierra? The Mohave or my better off staying with an older Aleph. The general rule is apple lets you do it. Apple will, at some point, cut it off and you won't end it'll say, sorry, you know, this is the most recent you can use, but you should upgrade if you can. The good news is in the last eight years, eight year old laptop, but until hasn't made massive improvements in processors and and so you're probably pretty compatible with anything Apple's doing right now. Fear or pretty well. Yeah. Yeah. And so I think, yes, absolutely. Go to Mojave Mojave has some nice new features. You know, the main reason you wanna do is for any security and bug fixes that that are there in apple doesn't necessarily publicize those. So you always want to get the updates, but you don't have to worry. Apple won't let you update if it's not compatible or it's going to really slow your system down. They're pretty good about that. I like the older. You know, I my real reluctance on upgrading to the new macbook pro besides the price was I really like the older MAC books. I like the travel. I don't mind the bigger size is a little thicker. That's fine. Better battery life. And I would like the keyboards. I don't like the touch borrow that much. They don't have a touch bar. So I was using a twenty fifteen macbook pro until until I got this new one, they're very good. Yeah. When I go to get a new one, I I, I'm gonna wait till they get that keyboard once out. I feel like this one's better. It's not. You know, we'll see if it's as if it's more reliable. I think they have solved that and and I was a big as you know, hater of the new butterfly keyboards. This one, it's just a slight difference, but it's enough to make me say, well, I think I can live with it, not happy, but I think I can live with it. You you're, you're twenty ten just fine. Keep stick with it. By the way they stopped selling those when they put out these new macbook pros. That was it on the twenty fifteen the fifteen inches. They're not selling those old ones anymore. So I don't know what will happen the macbook air, which is the last really old. MAC book old-style Mak but they sell. But my my sense is they're, they're dropping that to sometime this year. Sarah, so nice to talk to you a look for you. Look for some Hutchison, Kansas pokey stops. All right. Take care. Are they brought to you by rocket mortgage, the lending leader, Quicken Loans they created..
