The Intelligence Community Takes Their Revenge on Trump

"Community, they have 6 ways from Sunday at getting back at you. So even for a practical supposedly hard nosed businessman, he's being really dumb to do this. What do you think the intelligence community would do if they were more? I don't know. But from what I am told, they are very upset he has treated them and talked about them. And they are taking their revenge, greetings, their friends. This is America first. I'm Sebastian gorka, your host former strategist from a deputy assistant to president Trump. Don't forget the FBI isn't just a law enforcement agency. It is in fact a domestic intelligence agency, the emails of FBI agents end with dot IC intelligence community. So Chuck Schumer's threat, not just a warning, a threat to president Trump that they can come after you is being fulfilled as we saw yesterday's rate. I can not

Salem Radio's Dennis Prager on the Importance of Talk Radio

"Have written an amazing piece on your 40th anniversary of talk radio on the things you have learned in those four decades, 5 big lessons. I want to talk about a couple of them, but first, it's not in the article, but you told me how it all started and this peculiar weekend show where you had guests from different denominations. Will you tell us about that show at the beginning, Dennis? Because I love the concept. I began radio at the 32, I think 30, 34 years of age. And it was a blessing changed my life, obviously. There was an extremely popular show in Los Angeles on the ABC radio station. And I mean, so popular that eventually it became the most popular show in Los Angeles, despite the fact that it was broadcast on a Sunday Night, the least likely time for people to listen. But it dominated radio. It was called religion on the line, and it was dominant before I became the host. I just increased it, but I acknowledge it was I knew about it because everybody knew about it. A priest a minister in a rabbi would appear different ones each week, Catholic Protestant Jew, and the host. The host that I that they were thinking of letting go was secular and anti religious. And they were looking for a new host. I don't know if that was the reason, but they were. And by sheer good luck, my name was brought to the general manager of the station. And George green was a legend in radio and for whom I have only deepest gratitude for my life's journey, so he told this woman Roberta Weintraub May she rest in peace. The head of education in Los Angeles said, I need somebody who knows religion knows how to speak, but it's not a clergyman. And she said, I can't believe you're asking that. I just heard this kid at this Jewish institute here in Los Angeles. I went for a weekend there. I heard him lecture, he's terrific. And they said, oh, good, let's try him out. And in the middle of the show, the program director slipped me a note, I wish I had, I still had it. It changed my life. Tell them you'll be on next week.

"Byron, let's turn to primary day, because you follow this as well as anybody. Arizona and Michigan and Missouri. I'm urging people to vote for Eric Schmidt because the FrontRunner is an attorney general, he's experiencing a good senator and we can not allow it greatness to be nominated if you're a Republican. I know you're not a Republican partisan like I am. But if he is elected, Eric, if we lose that seat because he's a despicable human being. Yeah, you know, there was a astonishing story. In Politico, I think, about what took place on Sunday at Trump's golf course in New Jersey where they were finishing up this live golf tournament. Trump was the host as the owner of the course. And there's this big debate about who to endorse in Missouri, Eric Schmidt, or Eric riders. And each has his advocates and Trump is going back and forth and keeps saying, well, heck, they're both named Eric. Maybe I'll just endorse Eric. And then actually had somebody check to make sure that they were both spelled Eric with a C so that it would actually work. This is the level of thought that went into this endorsement. And then Trump does this cutesy. I endorse Eric in the Missouri primary, which is really making a joke or something that's really actually very serious. Because the Republicans could lose the Senate. Now it's tied 50 50 with operational control for the Democrats because of the vice president. But they could actually lose the Senate. They could lose Pennsylvania. They could lose Georgia. They could lose Missouri. I mean, this could happen. And so we've seen in the past, the past decade, what happens when you get really bad candidates? Did you lose? And candidate quality is the most important, more so than ideology or anything. The most important thing in politics and state level politics. So this is really, really important. I agree with you. And some of them, some of his colleagues aren't buying it, for example, senator pat toomey. He's Republican for Pennsylvania, as you know. He criticized this new climate healthcare tax package that senator Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer unveiled last week after Joe Manchin decided, well, maybe I do like spending money after all. In an interview with face the nation, to me suggested that mansion was taken to the cleaners. In this inflation reduction act, now you remember that the very reason that Joe Manchin did not support the build back better program last year was because he said that he was afraid that additional federal spending would fuel inflation, which it will. We know that we've seen it. That's why we are where we are today because of the trillions of dollars in the name of COVID that Joe Biden and our federal government has spent. Okay, yeah, he was, but he did it right back to white people. Now aside from the rumors I heard from old sports Fridays that I used to work alongside of it newsday, which is Long Island's main newspaper and when I worked there, it was the fourth largest circulation of any newspaper in America, so it's no rinky dink paper. Major, major sports writers wrote there. I sat next to and talked to and sat around with some of the best sports writers of our time. And a couple of them told me some stories about Bill Russell that, you know, didn't paint them out to be a nice guy. Okay? They would tell me stories that said as much of what I'm telling you that he was in fact very racist.

"After trying to pull out some of the stops last week to beat the rams, and it sure looked like that. It was bad. It was 41 to zero. Before the eagles one 44 to 6, it was domination. At Jalen hurts running the ball mile Sanders might know my bed it was Boston Scott and Jordan Howard. 'cause Myles Sanders got hurt. So that was huge for Philly, get this win. Be Detroit. Jared Goff, you know, a lot of bad throws, miss time throws on fourth down throwing the ball out of bounds, not what you really want to do. So 5 sacks as well as the cost of team 45 yards, couldn't get the run game going they are an O and 18. I've seen some games where we don't play like an O and 18. But that's what your record reflects. Your record reflects your team. And you look at their roster and may have an O one 8 roster. Jared Goff is not making plays at the quarterback when they're running game isn't going. That makes it tough as well. And then their defense, not one, you know, great player on that defense as well. So just a lot of issues with the Detroit lines moving forward. Titans colts. I didn't know I just talked about dairy cannery, but he introduced the early in this game and decided to come back and he ran 28 times. You tell me if that really factored into dairy Henry herding his foot even more or if she should have been taken out from that game 'cause he wasn't bad effect of running the ball yesterday. I 28 carries 60 yards, 2.4 yards a carry, not like him, but they had a day, throwing a ball, especially AJ Brown, who recently has just caught fire. Him and Ryan Tannehill are on the same page, ten receptions, 155 yards and a touchdown. The big plays as well. AJ Brown and Ryan Tannehill is a great connection. We're going to need to keep that up. If you're going to want to win football games in this next few weeks and really the rest of the year without Derrick Henry. But more surprising is Carson wins in just the stupid plays that he makes. I mean just pure stupidity where, you know, it's 31 31, or it's 24, 24, and you have a chance to win the game with two minutes left, and you're backed up in your own zone and last week we saw Carson Wentz make an errant kind of forward pass that was called a fumble and the forty-niners recovered it because he's just trying to do too much. That's what he does last night. They back him up. It's about to be a safety instead of taking it or just throwing it away beforehand. He throws his air and pass for a pick 6 and those are just the mistakes that he can't make. He can't make those. It was a poor performance. Then you're lucky because even after that pick 6, you'll lead them for a touchdown, but then over time you get the ball and you make another dumb throw, not reading the field properly..

"So I do think even without dairy can still make the playoffs, it'll probably still win their division, but without Gary Kenner, you can expect them to advance it all. And the playoff, that's how meaningful dare Henry is to the team. But can they do anything to offset the injury? Yes, they can. They're going to need a running game because they just have another running back on injured reserve. They are going to need a replacement for Derek Henry moving forward. Who are two guys? Well, you want legit guys. So I'm saying excuse me. I'm saying Ronald Jones in Marlon Mack are two that they showed a really target. Bruce Arians has said that they would need an extraordinary offer to trade Ronald Jones. I don't believe that because Leonard fournette has handled a majority of the snaps jail Bonnie Bernard has looked good out of the backfield as well. So I think a reasonable offer you can get Ronald Jones. Ronald Jones has been demoted to the second back this year, hasn't been used much. But last year, ran for 978 yards, almost 1000 yard season, and he missed a few games due to COVID at the end of the year, which is why he was unable to surpass that 1000 yard mark in which is also why we saw Leonard fournette sort of take the reins from him. So I think he's a great bag here before, only started 9 games and ran for 724 yards. So I think he's an excellent back who could fit in this system and just ease some of the pain. He won't be able to replace Derrick Henry, but it's all about easing the pain and just staying at bay at the current moment. Ronald Jones is one of those guys. Another one, which of course happens to be in the same division, sadly, as the Tennessee Titans is the Indianapolis Colts, and that is their third string running back Marlon.

"For Matthew Stafford. So it has to pan out this year. You've traded every pick now for Matthew Stafford. Jalen Ramsey, von Miller now. This has to work out because if you don't make it to the Super Bowl, heck, if you don't win the Super Bowl, it's a bust. You have to win it. Not just appear in it. But when the Super Bowl this year, that's the magnitude of this trade because now you have no draft picks. Everybody on your team is 30 and older, the stars that Jalen Ramsey, the Matthew Stafford, the Aaron Donald, they're all past 30 right now. So you have to win it. You don't have any draft picks now to have young players or young capital at all. What you have is what you have, and that's what you're stuck with. So if you don't win the Super Bowl this year, your toast, that's just plain and simple. Do I think von Miller can help if he's healthy? Yeah, if his defense is by nowhere near what it is last year allowing, you know, the fourth best QBR defenses I've done a good job on Aaron Donald, now adding von Miller. That's just another piece of a puzzle now. That defenses will have to factor in. I think that will make Aaron Donald even better. That'll make von Miller. Better as well. So I think this trade will help them. However, I'm concerned for the injuries and concern that if they don't make it to the Super Bowl this year, you're gonna have a lot of flack on the owner and Sean mcvay for really, what does a future of the Los Angeles Rams hold? Huge blockbuster deal that they sent. We'll see if more materialized. But that is a big move from the Los Angeles Rams. Already sitting at one already a good team, a very kind of going all in all in right now and they're still in second place in their division. Behind the Cardinals. So we'll see if this all adds up and makes them a better team..

League one than leaked to the division three league is a nasa the national independence soccer association which is headlined by a grassroots success stories chattanooga ftsi and detroit city f c. But just three years old. If you know your soccer chattanooga afc in detroit city are pretty darn ace made. Those are very strong programs. And when we had the dayton dynamo and tom while the first year we saw detroit city f c and they just they know how to build not only a strong team but they have a wicked loyal following behind them to going through the article. Uso also boasts us l. league too. But that is not a pro league. That's an amateur league. It's mostly college kids. That are playing it if you think about baseball and college kids playing summer. Ball like the prospect league or the great lakes. Summer collegiate league. This is kinda like that. Except you know. There's no one bats and you don't kick a one ball. I promise it's it soccer in the summer league to is considered unofficial division four with the national premier soccer league the new york red bulls. You twenty three and portland. Timbers u twenty. Three's joined by several teams with. Ussl are nasa affiliations so this development in a vacuum could be a natural progression that fills developmental hole for mls. But also it's curious because the mls in us l. They're pretty tight and in fact it used to be. Us l. was not affiliated with mls. And then eventually they're group partnership and they're part of the pyramid that feeds into mls vicarious it could also be loosely read as major league soccer's bid to take down n. a. n. i s. a. r. us al and then make its own division three so my take on it feel wants to control the united states in fact when you're the top of the pyramid who's really going to rival you in terms of that so i think for mls. I don't know what their intentions are. I'm not really part of them less. I'm just a guy that likes his local sports and trying to get a job in broadcasting. But i can tell you. There's good and bad things to look at it i think. Mls eventually would like to just have their own system where the running everything they don't have to rely on other people to you know kinda help feed their own pyramid so i think it could be potentially a way to wipe everyone out that opposes them and take control of united states soccer. Which you know. There's a lot of thoughts on that. Process lava them aren't great but my big hope is that there's more opportunities for the soccer players. Soccer is the global sport. I know you can say baseball's america's pastime and i agree with that but soccer's huge and especially in the united states men's national team. They're looking a little bit better. I mean maybe. And the women's national team while i don't have to tell you they kick butts and they are constantly gold medal winners. In fact there's a news tidbits to talk about in just a little bit so my thoughts are yeah analysts will probably use this to their advantage and just wipe out everyone that stands in their way. What happened right off the bat. Now because i'm last has to actually build it. And yes i know probably on the side of mls now. They've been around since the mid nineties whereas you know nasa we mentioned just three years old but grassroots campaign. And i honestly think if we had more grassroots campaign stories you know it'd be a lot better to fall through..

"Think a question or comments that i often get from. Teachers is by using some of the strategies like minimum grading allowing for as many retakes. A lot of things here is that. We're lowering our standards. So what would you say to a teacher who is saying that you know i have to mark them down for being late or i don't accept work after sunday at nine. What would you say to a teacher who says to you if i do that. I am lowering my standards so this comes up all the time and interestingly when i do this work And i talk with teachers at the end of a like a year. Long or to your partnership with working with them. I'll ask them. I'll show them the data back and the data Always shows the same thing which is that. The d. and f. rates have gone down most dramatically for historically underserved kids Black lat next indigenous. Kids special kids with special needs.

"And a lot of pretty much so we do. that's right. We just have fun in talk movies. Yes 'cause we love them because we love all genres we look but we do but this podcast so we like them better yes. We're biased way. Even though sometimes we break presidents and yes really stupid shit but it's pertaining. Yeah so speaking of stupid shit. Oh here we go. Well i as. I mentioned in our last podcast. I hit some time over the weekend. Oh yeah that's right you Hit a little bit of me. Time i did. I don't feel so. Of course. I did my homework and watch like sunday. What some. I also lost girl. Oh girl wow. I did girl do to get you. Good okay okay. It wasn't that good. I can tell now now now now now now i just. I really liked him. I just yeah man not for me. I wasn't a it wasn't a thriller wasn't a you know it was trying to be. It really wanted to be but for me. Not so much. I get. There were parts. That were Suspenseful there were some tension filled seems and then not so much so just it was very fragmented for me like it had me and then it lost me and then you know as roller coaster and i just. I don't like that. I like i mean if you wanna do a slow burn. That's fine if you wanna just do you know paul for the wall and just keep you know. Don't even let me breathe. I'm good with that too. You know we've talked about films that do both of those. This was that i just No it wasn't one of just in the acting was not that great independent have problem. Maybe probably as. I said this when i saw the trailer didn't look at big budget budget. Now maybe it didn't. Mickey rourke was in it. Oh yeah that's right. He looks weird doesn't he. I mean yeah like a ton of plastic surgery and starring maki. I like your word. Mickey rourke don't get me wrong you'll but yet like he was wearing a mask or something i don't know yeah looked like he was wearing a mask. Yeah like kenny rogers. Plastic surgery type deal. We still love you. And he had his hair like an opponent tail and he was the sheriff and you know he was fine. But i just. There was less one scene in the laundromat. That was really really good. I mean if i was e in the movie a lot where he was just a cameo just so they know he was quite a bit okay. He was in the movie him with this other guy were supposed to be like her uncles. that you know turned out to be the bad uncles. Own-goal yes yes or you yes sir. Yeah in her mom. I didn't think she could act your way out of a paper girl. Not not so much. I'm sorry i don't mean to ramble on about it. I just i just really disappointed rob. I really really done it for this thing. You seem excited. You're talking about it. And i was really excited about it. That looked amazing. And that's that's the that's the key. I've been burned so many times by really good trailers and that's the key of You know selling movie and then you get into it and you're like what the fuck is. Yeah it's like cottrell trailer shows you all the good stuff and then the movie is you know what i mean. You remember don in the eighties cannon films do remember cannon films. I mean they have so so many movies out and they were the kings of doing really great trailers and then when he go see the movie piece of junk foreign john times. What's in the trailers. Not even in the movie exactly now at like one once in a while they had a decent film. But i'd say ninety percent of the time cannon film was totally lousy runaway. Train was actually a good movie but that was a canon film and that was actually a really good film. But i mean they had some really bad movies. Yeah so i. I really think that this this is what happened to me with this film and i was really disappointed. So i don't mean to trash you know bashar film. But i just when i get really excited about like you said you're really excited about. I was like oh you know. I watched blacks. I and i'm like all i got some time. Let me you know girl. And i should've watched unhinged. That's what i think. If you're up for it. I'd like to do that. You know in a future recording unhinged okay. Absolutely because i do want to watch. It looks really really good but anyway so Trailers okay yes the godzilla king kong trailer. Just drop i know and boy. Does that look good. I can't wait. Did they say when it's coming on. March twenty sixth on march. Shit if you remember from last podcast They pushed the date from may to march. And it's going to be. Yeah the it's going to be in theaters and on hbo. Max and i was actually. I got duped. I was in On youtube and there were several different places on youtube where they were having like a like a countdown to win. The trailer is going to be released because of trailer was released on sunday at noon. And so i was in. I was in this group and must have been like thousands of people waiting because they had a countdown on and it wasn't an official trailer release. It wasn't something that was done by warner of was just somebody hit put together so when it got down to the countdown it said oh now the movies released so you had to go and find it. They didn't actually have it. Also work serving chat rooms going. Where where's the movie. What's going on. What happened all my color. While in the chatrooms going to look you know they were picking their sides right right right right cool. This is awesome and then the movie never shows up. And i'm like oh so go over to Legendary films they're the ones that produced it out right down to their youtube page and they had it and it was like okay care and was like blown away. I was like oh this looks really good so that other movie looks good. That you talked about Something monsters sometime human versus human versus these. I don't know if the dinosaurs or i'll come on. You were talking about not this last podcast but may be a few podcasts..

But i'd say ninety percent of the time cannon film was totally lousy. A runaway train was actually a good movie but that was a canon film and that was actually a really good film but i mean they had some really bad movies. Yeah so i. I really think that this this is what happened to me with this film and i was really disappointed so i don't mean to trash you know bashar film but i just when i get really excited about like you said you're really excited about. I was like oh you know. I watched blacks i And i'm like all. I got some time. All my god. I can't wait. Did they say when it's coming on. March twenty sixth on march. "And this poem captures more beautifully and painfully than I can express what I believe. The good news is of the transfiguration, of Christ, which is that. Sometimes heaven is a punishment. Meaning meaning that when we are primarily focused on God and God's otherworldliness. When we are laser focused on being lifted up onto the ultimate pedestal of God's glory along with gone. Then then we forget about the God who left Heaven and came down to Earth. Because when we are obsessed with worshipping the things that make us feel good. When we're obsessed with that heavenly vision. We we forget about God who shows up when we are at our worst. When our vision is fixed on. God and Heaven then eventually. We also get fixated. Only, only on shining the spotlight on the parts of us that we think deserve to be in. Heaven. And when we do that, then conveniently crowds out the parts of us that are left in the shadows. which are the parts that desperately need the light the most. And so when we stop putting people on pedestals. And when we resist others putting us on them as well. That is when we are free to tell the truth about who we really are. And we are free then to see others and all their messy heartbreaking glory. which by the WAY IS A. Very different understanding of glory that I think we're used to. I think Jesus invites us into a new view of glory that is messy and it's dirty, and that is rooted here and our earthly life. And so it is that when we fall on our faces. Utterly paralyzed by our addiction to worship. Even, worshiping, God. Jesus comes and and touch US and says get up. Do not be afraid. Do not be afraid of who you really are do not be afraid of your saints being revealed as sinners as well. Do not be afraid of the world you actually live in. Because God has left His throne in heaven to become part of this gritty disappointing and maddening world right beside.

"Because Jesus knows that he will. He will soon have to come down from that mountain top and when he does. He will not be put on a pedestal. He'll be put on a cross. And so if the disciples if they think that Jesus came to show us that God can be found only in the mountaintop experiences only in the bright and shiny things that we seek to worship. then. He knows that they will be sorely disappointed. Because by by being put on a cross instead on a pedestal. Jesus comes to reveal the God who is also found in the things that cause a shame and the things that break our hearts not just in the bright and shiny things. This. Week. I've been thinking a lot about what happens when we put others on pedestals. Or when others put us on pedestals. Because frankly, a pedestal is a disaster waiting to happen. A pedestal is an invitation to see some things as perfectly. Good. And therefore other things as perfectly. Bad. To see things in black and white. I mean after all this this this whole political season we are entering is. It's in itself, a recurring experiment, and what happens when we put people on pedestals. Because as soon as we elevate someone to the status of Saint. The race immediately begins to drag them into the mud. From the very beginning, it's a losing battle. Which is why this week many of us were smacked in the face With what happens when someone's sainthood crumbles before our very eyes I don't know if you saw it on Saturday morning, a news story broke about. John Van Yay. A man that for many of us was the closest thing to a saint that we could imagine. Vanya was a Catholic from Canada and he he founded communities throughout world known as the the large communities. And these communities, they were groundbreaking intentional residential communities that gave back dignity to those living with developmental disabilities. And yet as we found out, it turns out that at the same time as he was building a place where the marginalized could experience the good news for themselves. He was also simultaneously sexually abusing women. This news was a huge blow for so many of us. And while it should always be a blow to learn of the of the suffering of innocence. This particular news was compounded by the fact that. So many of us had put this man on such a pedestal. And when this happens as it has happened before and will happen again. We're left wondering where to go from here. Where to go when the pedal stole collapses. In just a few moments after open space, we will hear a poem that perhaps some of you saw on our facebook group called sometimes heaven is punishment..

"Ascension. Which is why I find it. Funny that My. First Day back preaching here at half ass is the feast of the transfiguration because out of all the churches that we saw in the Holy Land, the only major church that we did not visit was the Church of the transfiguration. And I have to admit that when I learned this, I was pretty pissed off. I was angry. I was angry I learned that we would not be climbing to the top of Mount Taber the traditional site of the transfiguration. The sight words believed that Peter, James and John Jesus surrounded by the Glory of God together with Moses and Elijah. We did go to the base of the mountain. And we looked up and tried to see the summit, but we didn't actually make it to the mountaintop. At the time I thought maybe this was to kind of try to make some of spiritual point to like eventually we all have to come down from the mountain top and so we might as well, not go up there at all. But then later I found out that it was actually because there was a problem with the shuttle buses that have to run you from the monastery that's at the base to the actual church that's at the top. So. and. So I never got to see the church built to remember the story we heard today. And while that initially annoyed me I've come to see the missed opportunity. is perfectly fitting with the good news that Jesus. Delivered on that mountaintop. The good news that we hear in today's Gospel, which is that. Jesus isn't so much interested in US worshipping him. As. Much as he is interested in US following him. Jesus doesn't care about US falling down and bowing down and telling him he's the greatest. I mean after all when Jesus appears in Dazzling White and Moses and Elijah show up beside him the first thing Peter James and John. Lewis they fall down to the ground and then Peter Offers to build a church a temple, he calls it a shelter for each of them but it's a church is what he wants to build. But as soon as Peter Suggests building this shrine where they can worship Jesus, a voice interrupts them and says, this is my son the beloved with him I am well pleased listen to him. God doesn't say worship him. He says listen to him. But since this wasn't enough to get the disciples on their feet, they're still face down to the ground Jesus steps away from this heavenly vision of glory and he walks over to them. And he touches them and he says get up, do not be afraid. Again, he doesn't say bow down and worship me. He says get up and do not be afraid. Because Jesus. Frankly. Isn't looking to be worshiped. He's looking to be followed. He's looking to be listened to. And in so doing he's looking to a free..
