Islamic Folklore The Ant Prays For Rain

"Once there was a big famine in Palestine it was during the time of the Prophet Prophet. Sulaiman King Solomon. He came out with his people and proceeded to an open place in the desert to pray for the rains to come. Suddenly he saw an and standing on. Its two legs raising. Its hands up towards the sky and saying oh Allah we are but very small among all the creatures we cannot survive without die. Grace please bestow upon US sustenance and do not punish us because of the sins of human beings please send down the reins so that trees can grow farms become green in grains become available and we have our food to eat prophet. Sulaiman knew the language of all animals. He told his people let us go home. The prayer of this end is enough. It then rain too heavily in all the land became green and productive. The end is an intelligent creature. Warm days it collects and stores grain inside the hulls. It knows that during wet and cold months it would not be able to go out to search for food for fear that grain may start growing because of wetness it splits it into two or more pieces at times during Moonlit nights it brings the split grains out of the stores for drying and preservation against decay. The holes under the ground are made very carefully and covered with shelter to prevent the rain water from getting inside the holes the end unlike the other animals can lift a burden twice. Its own weight. It is not a selfish creature. When aunt finds some store of food grains it runs up to its group takes its fellow ants to that place. It shows everyone of them. Its own find of this door. The always behave in this manner. They work in live in cooperation with each other. This shows how the aunt works for the group and how each of them fulfills the needs in livelihood of its fellow beings how shameful it is for a man who has no regard for another man who has no concern for his fellow human beings who could be starving because of want of food. Once while Prophet Sulaiman was traveling together with hosts of men. Gin and birds. They reached valley events. When the chief of these ants witnessed the pomp and the glory with which Prophet Sulaiman and his companions were approaching toward it. He warned all the answers to get into their holes lest they got trampled and crushed unknowingly by the approaching men and Jinn Prophet. Sulaiman smiled at. This warning sounded by the ants chief and ordered his companions to wait till the aunts went inside their holes. None of us should hurt any aunt while passing over their land. He said it said that Prophet Sulaiman addressed the chief of the aunts. And Said How could my people hurt you or your fellow ants when they are floating through air? Don't you know that I am a messenger of God and would never act unfairly? The chief of the ants replied o Messenger of God my cautioning. The ants was not for any hurt that they would suffer but to prevent them getting stray and forgetting the glory of God after seeing year pomp. And show there is a deep meaning. In this event it shows that even the most humble and smallest of creatures has been endowed with the necessary wisdom to live safely and avoid being hurt as far as possible. It also shows how even a small end does have the natural understanding of the true position of Allah. It imparts a lesson. That one should not forget the true might and glory of Allah when one experiences a great power and dignity of any creature in this world thus an aunt is one of the most wonderful small creatures in this World Surinam L. The end in the holy current is a chapter named after this creature over one thousand three hundred years ago. Imam Ali was giving a sermon in Kufa. In which he was describing the beauties of creation in various forms of life he was referring to small creatures in asking men to study. How God made them so small yet so sturdy strong he described the end in these words. Look at an end. How tiny is its body? And how delicate features it is such a small creature that it often escapes the eye and few people care to attach any importance to it. Among the living beings found on this earth. Look at it and study its ways of life how it crawls how it attacks its food how it lifts a grain so many times heavier than its body carries it to its whole how it stores grains and how in summer it gathers in stocks food for

Iraqi Parliament Votes to Expel All American Troops

"On Sunday the Iraqi occupying move to expel the US troops exam at her Kumana Lafayette? The healthy added up. It wasn't a an incredibly convincing. Vote it most Sunni and Kurdish. MP stage away all of E. N.. Peace in the Chamber at the time was Shia been happened though is equal what. NFL A woman isn't a unified position in the country but it was a parliamentary majority. This is Liz sly on the bay loop Yoichi for the Washington Post the Madden Wapakabhulo. Got Up that vote in the Iraqi parliament was in response to the drone strike. That killed Major General Qassem Soleimani and several other people including Iraqi military commander and that attack happened on Iraqi soil. Right outside the country's biggest airport toward the rockies were absolutely furious and if you remember this is came just a few days of members of Iraqi militia were killed in an ashtray insider Iraq which has already triggered outrage in Iraq seen the US embassy get students. And I'm trying to think in people burning reception gates and this nation of somebody who was one of Iraq's is closest allies really the Iraqis over the edge they were absolutely livid. And what are the prime minister. Say about this. The Prime Minister Cool Hilditch an outrage. He said it was a violation of Iraqi sovereignty. A violation of all the rules and to which has troops are operating in our because is the only there was to fight Islamic state than not supposed to be taking the orioles into Iraq. So that's true then. This is actually a violation of how the US and Iraq are supposed to be interacting than in situations like this the US was supposed to give a rock advance notice that they were going to try to do something like this. Yes and it's quite here as well that Iraq would not allow them to do this because they have very close relations kestler money. He's he's sort of the chief. Chief enforcer of Iran's will in Iraq and he funds all the militias he holds enormous interest mention the country. There's no way they would have given permission for this so then. How do they intend to respond to this? I mean the big was sponsors. The vote Newark in parliament on Sunday. Now this was not a binding law. It wasn't binding resolution. But when you think about it that U. S. went for rocket richly in two thousand and free to install democracy Z.. Bay Pretty much draft at the constitution that created this parliament and a majority in parliament is now sick. They don't want the US troops. It's very difficult for them to justify staying under these circumstances and so what would a withdrawal look like. Or what would that process look like now that they voted in parliament. Are they taking next steps to actually come up with a formal process of essentially kicking out. US troops well. This is where it gets very interesting interesting because the letter was leaked by the Prime Minister's Office yesterday but the Prime Minister had received yesterday from the US military and basically said it. It basically informed the Iraqi military to be aware that extra US troop movements for great be taking place ads the US prepared to pull out. Troops from Iraq in accordance with the sovereign was just gone the decision in the occupied event. Now look very much as this as if if the slash was giving notice that the US intending to withdraw from Iraq. The reaction in Washington was like no we haven't made any such decision led to present mistake. It was only a draft and it doesn't mean anything it really does look like the. US is actually starting into laid the groundwork lady for the process of rejoin those troops. We know that have been some movements at airport tubes. Moving from some places to other places it beginning to look if they're putting the steps in place at least two down the presence if not to bring about a complete withdrawal now of course a compete with royal would tape probably weeks or months because there's a lot of troops. There's a lot of equipment they want expecting this but yeah I think there's a sense in Iraq at the moment and the beginning of the end Come well it's also interesting because it it feels like Sola money's killing kind of laid. Bare are some existing tensions over how the US thinks about and respects the sovereignty of Iraq. And I'm wondering if there are other ways that has become apparent over the last couple of months or last couple years of the. US maybe not treating Iraq the way that a quote unquote equal partner should be treated needed. Yes I think it's fair to say that as being a real breakdown of in stage of the. US Rachi relationship in recent is a relationship that really became certainly very close. During the last years of the Bush administration was abandoned to a certain extent by the Obama Administration but not so much as leaving the patches it by trump. He didn't try and meet Iraqi leaders when he went to see the troops at Alice had bad air base. For example he just went in and saw the troops as as if his relationship with the Iraqis Persson important I mean he all his tweets all of his inconstant statements about the US wanting to be finished with endless war. It's his constant statements about the. US only wants the oil. All of that has left. People in the Middle East in general and in Iraq can particular wondering what is that. US on sound are they staying ave going. And meanwhile in those years Iraqis realizing that they are going to have to live with the Iranians on their border for the rest of the time and that the Americans can't be counted on it might not stay So is this a moment where the the Iraqis are basically saying we should be thinking about prioritizing our relationship with Iran more than any of what remains of of our relationship with the United States. I think the Iraqis come to see the presence of U. S. troops on ness. Oil Soften being stabilizing facts. Shit that helps them to balance. The relationship with Iran actually could be a destabilizing factor. cousy could bring an von U. S. war to their territory. But what's ironic about this situation. Is that at least ostensibly one of the things that led to the. US is decision to To Kill Sola money was was because he was exerting all this influence in Iraq but if this killing ends up with the US withdrawing from Iraq or being kicked out of Iraq. Doesn't that give give Iran. Basically exactly what it wanted in the first place is is an opportunity for Iran to increase their influence in Iraq will absolutely and the whole point of these tax on the US basis which Sulejmani was organizing was to convince the Americans it can stick it out to Faruk. They were hoping that president trump wouldn't have the appetite for war with Iran. Wouldn't fight back and rather than suffer. US casualties in an election year. that he would just pull out the troops and this was Sulaiman's mission if you like now that he has died his his life's goal will is going to be accomplished. And I'm curious how Iraqis feel about this like. Is there widespread support for the idea of you've strengthening ties to Iran and getting rid of US influence or is it more complicated than that. It's sound game night that it's not it. I choose much more complicated. I believe most rockies do not want that country to be a vessel stage in Iran I believe most of them resent the extensive influence your on his gains in Iraq. And we've seen that come out in the popular protests recently where they have denounced Iran and they have denounced sula money but not wanting Iran in your country doesn't mean they want America instead it's not an either or situation and it seems like that has been one one of the historical challenges. Iraq is the fact that it is such a kind of convenient proxy for so many other countries and for such a long time. They're kind of at at the mercy of of more powerful allies. Who tried to us? Iraq is a form of exerting influence. And so it. I wonder if there will be. Yeah time anytime soon where they can find a way to to be more independent or to kind of get rid of that influence and be able to stand on their own. We're looking could you really don't Chinese. They're really really sort of broken country at the moment. The economy is mass

"Yeah the morning we hear you. I'm I'm taking San Diego. It's all good morning breaking rigging up you there Kevin you bring up just a bit. We're GONNA come right back to even going out to take think tank calling in from tank amount Zulu in the house was going on. I don't remember the colorful Missouri. Man I I've been a long time caller but I've been back. I've been away for a minute but I'll salute once again to your brother doing wonderful job. You and Mike Free Shipping content a man. Let me ask questions. Are we ready to forgive big baby Miller and the reason I'm saying that because because you guys mentioned in a lot of fighters and in particular ruis making a comeback why are we not talking about Big Baby Miller we've forgiven everybody. We forgiven Dylan. Why we give it all to let all of them that had had drug issues situations while? That's not true though we mentioned big baby and we did a show one big baby when he was rumored to become back. The problem is he hasn't sought with anybody yet. It was a roommate he was going to be with top rank that didn't happen. He's he's done videos putting his shoulder on on In his head on Eddie. HEARN's show the trying to go back we. We don't know where he's coming back to can't be offering or talking about hypothetical authentic allies would do. It hasn't been signed yet. No one's touched them after that. And then you've got to remember it's not you know I mean his case media you. Can we kick them in the conversation in the reason I'm saying I would love. I WanNa find time beating him. I want him to fight while the him and dealing away on the same level they. They've talked enough that those fights needs to be seen He. I honestly believe big baby is better than telling white to behinds without now. We don't know how you perform without the drugs but what we see from dealing why why why wouldn't really white fight big baby. Listen Man That is your time. But I'll tell you tank commanders Hulu if big baby could come back and somehow still look the way he used to look. Yeah I'm picking the beat dealing in white like I always used to pick them to beat dealing white like I had the baby so high I thought if AJ could knock him mouth he was GonNa Stop Aj because of activity but then everything that we loved about big babies in question because of the positive drug tests. We're going to Colorado stone bone by good.

"Delay Zhang is number. Twenty nine Brian Jennings who helped out Anthony Joshua smart twenty-seven and coli Who we speak about in here and there who lost to hunter and just beat someone? I think Peter is something that he beat But yeah you know he's right there twenty six Man Kaufman is not even here. But Gorman is I wouldn't mind in Gorman Ruiz as his tune-up even Germain Franklin Ruis Germain. Lets hands go he. He don't have the skill. Maybe of a Ruis That'll be a good a good name Germane France way to surround. I don't think if people with that name a jemaine Franklin his past couple flights. We all see the delimitation did he do have and the guys like. I don't know some guy's name but it was. Fury is a former world champion. And we've seen them come back with steph safari all types of weird names James in Chilton for the Celtics Safari in Swertz and all that Shit. We did kill them for that. So I don't pay Germain Frank Way. Hey the name that Andy should even entertain caches Jamie moving on number thirty thirty eight. Wow He's common so your boyfriend Sanchez. Number thirty six with a Eddie Renault. So at the Jay in listen. Listen it's crazy because while the got six more years he's thirty four he's he's GonNa retire at forty and back half of his career. He's last six years ago to get busy. Because this top fifteen is the top names division. Now obviously these fifteen may we now all end up facing wild because they may go different. Directions like I said might go to the W. B. O.. Tyson fury and white might cancel each other out facing gene wilder Ortiz. Might get a big opportunity with like a reverse and ended up retiring or something. You never know who ends up making it up this road but The name to pick from or decent even if even if while the took some sort of voluntary defense whenever where he got past all his mandatory he still has to pick from this pool and looks like the top forty is decent. I don't know WHO's Mr Simon Kean Gene in Canada but junior file caches Cheney Frank Sanchez. Tony Yoka Germain Franklin Nathan Gorman Odor. wiling Zhao's house. You Lay all these guys are known. Surrogate Kouzmin Brian Jennings by coli Washington. They're all known so if he if he had to take voluntary defense and pick undo the top fifteen he still has decent names So hopefully this means translates into good fights. I'M GONNA get an open up the phone lines any final thoughts before I do that. This handyman hope. He comes back in better shape ofi he takes it a little bit more theories and hopefully he tries to believe so everybody did. It wasn't a of flu. Glory wasn't just a one hit wonder known fans I'm kind of intrigued to see where what happened with Andy Release career or not even read the next couple of fights from here on Santo because to any yeah man I. I reached out to his dad and You know I'm trying to schedule something and see what we can do Hopefully we can get the more man I think blogs down home. You make that call for the first gus here came across the last night of dark process. Why why are we reward known saying guys for not going out there and really putting on a credible display but I thought about it in in one thing? That's like evidence in this box Always going to be like if you are a draw if you are a sale you can't really get people behind you can Doesn't tell them what kind of opportunity for you. We Saint Paul ks. I'm saying capitalizing on just being popular Adrian Brodie noticing Nike very many of the last couple of years and still are able to get big. Tom Price Vice. Manny Pacquiao Mike Garcia and things. Things like that so When you are drought in the sport of boxing it takes a while before people? People don't believe anymore in for all intents in purposes it seems like the WBZ is GonNa GonNa Kinda make. Andy not make Andy like they're they're the namesake an invading my dad get any a little push to see if he really is That a credible opponent for the BBC champion. Whoever whoever that might be catch you gotta think down a row event you come back? He bliss out three or four guys including Kornacki non-south Luis Ortiz. He has has to be like back in the conversation for maybe a possible title shot in been under heynen being with the WBZ Is is a lot easier to make that fight with Dante wilder or a yet with the water when it's all said and done so I really feel like Andy can't come back from like can't come back and have a successful career next year but it's all about how much he won't it in. If you wasn't focused with a six million dollars in your pocket how can you be focused with nine to Lebanon Dalia pocket. So that's the big story line for me is what any of WBZ's is going is going to be able to become back in really be a threat and there's a division division like the state is on the rise is on the camera guy different guys ranked highly unsaid. Lada hungry guys in the WBZ ranking so One thousand dollars going to be eh a sometimes it might turn out to be a war like this division might turn out to be motherfucking sue spectacular and a couple years. San With Josh was in the wilders the Dylan wising theories in the Philip Grover known saying coming up do by making a name for herself. FAA Jog out here. Doing this thing and with a big baby still going to be in the mix saying Ottawa Lean. He's GonNa be in the mix. It's a lot of guys out there. Never Tony Yoka Tony. Yoke is a guy that we don't talk about that much but he is eight French heavyweight. He's trained by Hunter and my sorry to interrupt. But we have our I. I guess contender in the heavyweight. Division two-time title-challenger helling from Texas. Eric Molina coming an awful loss to Philip. Herb Vich out in Saudi Arabia. Eric Man. Good Morning First and foremost thank you for taking the time out to give us an opportunity to interview coming off of you know despite her Gingrich and just getting back into town to man so credits. Are you giving even the boxing fans and opportunity to hear from. You just wanted to talk to you. See How your time was in Saudi and how are you feeling. What's your mindset like coming offer this loss because you know I WANNA go ahead and be the first to say that I I felt pretty good man. You landed a lot of right hands since obviously there was some things you did that. I didn't agree with but You look better than normal. Well I sounds good morning. Thanks for having me guys Man You know what I I try to think back to the fight myself and Saudi Arabia Arabia was was was was great. You know when you first when you first learned not them show you gotta I say the same thing everybody else I was a little worried little. You know scared of the of the atmosphere what to expect but it was extremely safe and it was extremely welcoming and you know it was nothing like I expected. herbage. He's a big heavyweight ahead. It really seen or heard of him much But I can say that going into the fight. We've had seen some of his past fights and we had seen him be a little a little fowler's Were saw shot to the back of the head and his paths lights. And I WANNA say at one point in time or another in each of his last fight it was an issue so It was something that we weren't concerned about that was addressed before the foot before the fight. But no he's I mean he's a Shar heavyweight He's a he you know. I looked at it defense and and the things that I thought I was going to be able to make my way too but You know it's different when you get in there and you haven't in front of you and and he's definitely got some great size on him. He's athletic and and You you know I I feel that. He's he's definitely going to be forced to reckon with in the future heavyweight division. Now you had a full eight weeks and on the press conference you felt like you know there was no way that Eddie would have given you that in boom. He gave it to you so everything went well in preparation ration- for this fight. Well I mean it was a Nassar is like there's a lot of you think man that that I i. I'm not gonNA vein because it's it's really never been ideal situation for me You can give me a week's that's fine. Nfo always in good shape I wasn't just shape strong and But I've been I've been out of the ring. Big fights over two years man and and and and when when you're out of the ring for for two years you know I I kinda felt looking back that maybe it would have been a better road to kind of ease my way back into a fight like this but even looking back at it man. I don't got a promoter that's going to try and and moving along the correct way and and it just went along frustrating to us out the ring I reached out to you guys and and spoke to you guys several times Regarding my situation I just also so hungry to get back in the ring and united really care who they called me for but you know it is what it is man and it's it's behind me now and and So you know what what can I do about it. Well I mean you had a lot of success with the right hand and it seems like once you realize that you weren't afraid need to let the shots go and I didn't see you be afraid of his power once you realize you can land the right hand. I seen you obviously turn your back and complain about about buying the head shots but again once I seen that once you've seen you can land the right. You kept throwing that right. Just what went through your mind then. Well I'll tell you what though Mandel was it was. I believe it was the first of the second shot I took behind the head that it was extremely damaging it was it was It was a it wasn't shot that I took that in inside of my thought said I can't take another punch like that when you're inside that re in the fighters know what I'm talking about. You take good shot and you sit. I can't get hit with that. There's something like that again. I want to get hit with again because if I get hit with a punch like that would be really hurting. I WanNa get hit with that again. I got that theme after I believe it was the second second shot behind the head. It was very damaging to it was and and it wasn't so much that I didn't WanNa take another shot like that. I thought that I couldn't take another shot like that even if I if I wasn't afraid to so it was something that was a concern in my head I was bugged and and and I was even more with that concern and there was a time where I just said you know what I'm GonNa Throw and I'm GonNa go but the best way I could I told you guys is I go versus a shot fighter. And he's a big president Sir but I can tell you in this not just in my fight you can look at all. His fights makes makes him even stronger is that he does punches like that. He does puns like that. You can look at every single fight on his youtube There's ten professional advice on their complained about it passed by New Mexico so but it is what it is. I if if they if only five and he's doing stuff like that Gretchen him. It's GonNa make him a harder fighter to beat and I wanted I wanted to do I just wanted to ask. Do you think thank you did enough because.

"Yes for you to actually feel the balance of real life. Yeah. Now when you enter the real world, and you feel the real balance shit starts to make a little bit more sense. And you're like, oh, do you all know until you actually get out there, and you won't see just grind? Yeah. You just gotta do. But for sure. Coming from humble beginnings can be so helpful. I think it's one of the many gifts of being from humble beginnings. Is that it keeps you humble? And it gives you perspective that other people people who come from better circumstances village wealthy. I don't even like that phrasing that I just used better circumstances have nothing to do with it. Everybody circumstances. Are there circumstances for reason? Right. Yeah. I don't think being rich is preferable to being poor or poorest preferable to being rich. I think it depends entirely on how you handle the situation, and what you make of your own life. Yeah. I'm gonna stop before. I take over your entire segment but continue so let's continue. So that that's the part about excuse me. That's the part about being humble, okay? So being fearless. We'll continue with the story of the movie also because this kind of progressive I make each point so being fearless Jimmy is an aspiring rapper. Right. Right. The whole movies about his trying to make it big as a rapper. And he goes by the rap Ilias be rabbit. Right. That's that's like his nickname Sulaiman's thing about him. Yeah. I never I never understood the bunny rabbit, or whatever, I get family nickname. What it is be rabbit rabbit rabbit have to assume, but be rabid. I wanna -ssume that. That's not the reason behind that. It's not good. No matter what. Yeah. So dream is to to alternately turn his his wrap aspirations into a lucrative career wanted to blow. Yeah. He wants to get out of eight mile doesn't want to live in that situation anymore wants to get about the trailer park. So when he's not working he takes part in rap battles at a local venue called the shelter. Oh, yeah. Yes was like a really run down beat up like a warehouse warehouse and guys just in there. Just freestyle battle rapping against each other's bars. Flying's bar for bar. You know, so one of the one of the first scenes one of the first battle rap scenes. We see be rabid on excuse me on stage, and he's clearly struggling rapper..

"So, you know, one of the things I'm trying to say, I absolutely think white families of this country poor white families middle class families are going through it. If you're an American you are emotionally psychologically going through it with your family your relationship to yourself. Absolutely. But just because I'm writing about specifically black families doesn't mean that. I'm not writing about white fam-. You know what I mean? I'm just trying to put a microscope on my specific family and the black families that surrounded my family with an awareness. That I speak similar things similar things that might be differently shaped what happened in white families as well. You know what I mean? Yes, I do know what you mean. I also think that we don't understand. The fact that sometimes. The food piece. And the and the the lack of nutritious food that we consume. We don't understand the addictive nature of it. And that's one of the talk a lot about on my holistic show in a little bit on this show. But it's a real problem because in my opinion, the amount of processing that goes on with our foods today in this country is a disgrace in disgusting. And more people should be standing up and saying, no, no, no, don't put those ingredients. Because what they do is. They set you up for warning more and your body becomes addicted to certain ingredients in it's like. Absolutely. Absolutely. And and and sometimes I mean, I don't notice medically, but I think stress sometimes leads us to those foods that become addictive right in. I remember when I was in college right about this in the book. I didn't I was at work study. So I didn't have a lot of money extra money like win the cafeteria closed. So like there are lots of frat boys in my dorm, and they would leave happy pizzas around. And so when I was really depressed, but also I would say really hungry about wasn't hungry at all. I would just go through garbage is trying to find like, you know, so I can make an and and and that in that became that ritual became addictive. So I hear what you're saying. I think the food I'll give us a website for this book. Sulaiman? This is.

"And you can see a across an entire continent and and you're, you're peering into something that is brand new for humanity. So I think it's worth asking yourself what risks are worth taking. And once you've decided to take them, then change who you are so that you can win. You can defeat, you can master that thing and open a door for yourself that otherwise was just shut. This is just such a bizarre juxtapose ish in these two videos. I don't know if that is part of the fun of this. It's probably unintended, but that is part of the fun. Hopefully. So the first thing is they're both so Americans. So it's kind of crazy turn TV sitting here with less stress than our national guests talking about these very, very American things that are also kind of polar opposites in terms of that perspective. So here we have this kind of radical individualism, this embrace of absolute freedom and exceptionalism, and the idea of like the priority being, what do I get out of the world and out of the universe? And how can I best exploit those opportunities risk taking is all about my experience on maybe my. My personal growth. There's also this very American idea of self improvement. So this this trajectory of the south. So you start out as an inexperience of he'd become an experienced south and you're then a winner. He even uses the word. He's Canadian, you said, but still it's kind of the same philosophy worked for NASA. So and then on the other end of the spectrum, you have people who because of structural inequalities and because of a system kind of running rampant, an economic system capitalism, basically rent western capitalism, running rampant. There's a possibility of like taking a risk so that you advance yourself in a market when your family is starving, because it literally has no access to veg doubles your whole life. Every day is probably characterized by risk in that kind of situation, but the reward is not soaring over the best Cozma straight. Yes, exactly. Yeah. This juxtaposition between walking and going in to the universe on the rocket. Is such a foles. It doesn't work like this walking is something very natural, which is coming to us, you know, a naturally and traveling into the universe and in in a rocket is completely something completely artificial venting. So you cannot make those two things in comparative in compare this those two to think. And then if you under us to estimate this juxtapose with, then you see that entire lecture of this guy is false. I mean, the other thing that I was skeptical about is this this hierarchy of risk to risk and reward. I mean, this is a very American idea. This idea that you should push yourself to the most extreme possible risk. And I think that that message is very dangerous for a lot of people and a lot of like chill. Growing up, for example, who either might take risks that will kill them for no good reason or or who are maybe more shy and maybe need to learn more gradually. It just feels like a threatening. Awesome. Eight threatening male, patriarch of young alpha. Yeah, males. And speaking of alpha males. One of the things that I noticed in your book is that there are a lot of women in the book that would likely have been left out of the story of history like the daughter, the daughter carrying on the work of the anatomist. The daughter of Sulaiman is his first name and he's like former servant to an Austrian emperor who is now like stuffed and on display, and she keeps writing these messages that appear throughout the book to the Austrian emperor and they just go into the the void. You know, we assume they were never answered, and this seems to be something that runs throughout the book these women that are like doing heroic or important things that you know, we'll just be kind of swept away into the river of misery..

"I dish just amazing to me. I'm going to have you sign the copy here, but yet it's a good book and it's a good follow up to extreme ownership because I think where extreme ownership stopped, I think this is where it picks up. There's a pattern. I think people fall into when they take your advice to heart, which is good. That's what you want. And then they almost go too far with it for sure. That's the premise of the second book which. One of the problems with the book. Extreme ownership is the title extreme ownership because people take that word extreme and they say, okay, I just need to do this to the extreme. That is the case when it comes to taking ownership of things. Yes, you need to take extreme ownership. You need to make sure that you take ownership and responsibility of everything. Your world in failure to do that is going to cause problems for you as a leader and as a human. But if you start taking even the principals, even the laws of combat, if you take those to the extreme in either direction, you're probably going to get off balance as a leader and you're gonna cause other problems. So you have to remain balanced and it's one of the trickiest things to do, and that's why you know, as we work with all these different companies and all these different leaders, that's the problem that we see the most and it's also the answer to the most challenging questions that people ask. Someone will say, well, you know, I've got these people and they're just not doing what, and I'm imposing discipline on them as hard as I can. And it's like, okay, so there's your mistake. You go so far that they have not thinking anymore themselves. Oftentimes the really hard questions that people are asking, aren't that hard? But the answer is there's a balance. There's a dichotomy that you have to balance it. If you don't, you're going to be too far in one direction or the other. Is that just self-awareness? Is that measuring your results like, okay, I'm taking extreme ownership, but I'm not producing x, y and z result. So I have to evaluate this and figure out a better way to do it absolute what what's the problem and extreme ownership is a great, the idea of ownership Sulaiman I talked about this on actually, I think we talked about on my podcast. We got asked at the muster. Can you take too much extreme ownership? Can you do that? And life was like, no, you can't. You can't really take too much extreme ownership because you're responsible for everything and that's correct. And then I said, well, actually, you can take too much ownership of something. And here's when it happens is if you're on my team, it you were. For me, and I'm a guy that's on taking ownership of everything. This is my this, my projects I own it will now when it comes to your task or I give you a project, but I wanna keep ownership of the project now you don't end up with any ownership, so now I'm just giving you all the direction, give you all the plan. It's not anything that you create or come up with yourself and you as a person you're not going to like that..

"The game never never never been as good on this is the top songs with sulaiman here's my first thing on switzerland can they take advantage of an opportunity because remember how they got here and i'm sorry to bring up bad memories but remember when anri had the handball against ireland and you thought oh well they're through there in the world cup what a gift they've been given and they were so just so bad in that world cup and they were just it it was was surrounded with controversy and they were just the words it was banned handed out like a and you just you just thought to yourself like they deserved it we're giving this gift you're in this world cup now on this bs moment and this is what you've done with that swing out to say that about switzerland in this case is strong it's not that strong but it's going to little far but a ball his northern player in the back on a penalty was given and that was the only goal scored in one hundred eighty minutes in the playoffs and we don't know you don't know how things might have gone it could've gone a penalty you just don't know but you're right i mean they got by northern one nil and the only goal was a very very controversial one so they've been handed this up they are in the world cup on that will they take advantage of that opportunity now dea way to look at it as they were pretty faultless and qualifying right they won't early against portugal they were beaten in nine games that one nine games actually they didn't lose until until they gain until they.
