No major issues seeing more volume. people Maybe taking it easy between New Hampshire and Georgia Avenue but no major delays. seventy Two still good southbound out of Urbana headed all the way to the lane divide onto either loop of the Beltway now ninety in the Baltimore Washington Parkway are at speed between the beltways then inside the beltway about fifty in the BW Parkway running well. Whether you're heading on to New York Avenue toward the light of Bladensburg Road or on to DC two ninety five with your is open all the way to the 11th Street Bridge. Inbound Suitland Parkway a little heavy getting past Branch Avenue and then it looks good to and across the towards the Douglas Bridge onto South Capitol Street northbound I -295 no worries from the beltway to the 11th Street Bridge. Traffic and weather on the 8. Dave Dildine is very busy already in the WTLB traffic center. Blame it on the rain. In Columbia, Maryland crash a reported on 29 near Rivers Edge Road at that dangerous left turn. 95 nearby, not too bad, but on the Beltway traffic is soaked and slow between Landover and College Park through Greenbelt, Riverdale, Maryland living up to its name. The curbs and gutters are full. Ponding is deep. It's not as bad as the flash flooding year, we had last but traffic on 410 is not moving very quickly as this downpour looks like it's starting to dissipate, but lots of ponding and high water has developed. Southbound from there toward DC on the PW Parkway. We always end up with spin out crashes at Route 50 in the rain. The current incident thankfully out in the striped out area so the lanes and ramps are open. Inbound traffic on DC 295 is slow as it is westbound on 50 Route because of the work zone that persists through the rain near the Anacostia River. There's only one lane getting high. Suitland Parkway and Naylor Road. The crash is clear and lanes are open. In Virginia on 395 southbound traffic slow down to Duke Street. They're picking up the work zone and reopening the left lane. On the interloop near Braddock Road the crash involving the truck blocks the ramps but the lanes at Braddock Road are open. Outer loop at Old Georgetown Road. You're on the brakes because of a crash on the curve above the spur. The left side and blocked back in Virginia on 95 although the rain is starting to taper off it's still pretty slow in the road spray in stretches through Woodbridge, Dale City and Dumfries and certainly both ways through Stafford County even though the pavement there is a lot drier. Mike it seems like at least in some spots the rain Rain is lightening up some? It is a lot. We're finally getting a break here but as Dave mentioned during the traffic report we had a you know a couple inches of rainfall very quickly. So it's going to take a little while for this to run off so do watch out for standing water. A couple of areas that We're still watching of Dale City to Round Triangle a heavy cell has popped up and that's not moving anywhere. And in Fredericksburg just to the east and south of Fredericksburg it's still raining heavily including along I -95 right around around the Spotsylvania Courthouse area so we'll keep a close eye on that. This will continue to happen for another couple of hours.

The big issue remains the closure on the Beltway Virginia. in In a whip the exit to Route 50 Arlington Boulevard exits 50 A and B remain closed at service to a shutdown due to a serious crash under investigation that involved a pedestrian. And as a result of that closure, no access from Gallows Road to the Ena Loop as well. That exit also closed off. That's part of the same service roadway. But if you're on Arlington Boulevard you can exit onto the Ena Loop. Those on ramps come on beyond the crash scene so good news for folks there at least you are able to get on the Beltway. Now the rest of the Beltway through Maryland in Virginia with that early issue. In Virginia 95 the north from Fredericksburg up to the Beltway and Springfield looking good. 395 north and south approaching Duke The Street. work zones block a single right lane in each direction. You get by without delay. Headed into the district early. No early concerns along New York Avenue headed from northeast to northwest. Looking good so far Suitland in Parkway and South Capitol Street. The freeway both I -395 and I -695 without issue. Suitland Parkway and South Capitol Street as I mentioned are in good shape with I -295 north and DC -295 south.

P. traffic center be careful out there if you're heading into the district via suitland parkway apparently the signals are on flash red for all directions on suitland parkway at first sterling five I had a Metro metropolitan police have been notified but there's no police presence there so again extra care and caution when going through that red and through those red flashing red signals and that does mean you are supposed to stop so keep that in mind I you have to come to a complete stop before continue you can and again a little extra courtesy there won't hurt as well a couple of other things that are going on at the moment I still have a southbound I -97 approaching Benfield Boulevard exit 10 still have the left lane blocked with a crash cleanup it was a car versus a tractor trailer again it looks like they were just waiting on a heavy -duty record for the tractor trailer cars already been towed away over in Prince Georges County a stretch of Route 1 shut down in both directions between Farragut Street and Jefferson Street was a structure fire near the intersection with Hamilton Street that has everything shut down apparently they had to run Cross Route 1 so for safety they've got it shut down in both directions in Virginia and Loudoun County US North of Black Walnut Lane this is north of the town of Luckett again they've got the road shut down in both directions as a result of a crash a combination of St. Clair Lane and Spinks Ferry Road gets you around the closure on either side so just keep that in mind and give yourself extra time as a result go electric the

Rich Hunter is the WTOP traffic center. Alright, if you're traveling in Maryland, couple things to watch out for. First, there's a crash north the and on Baltimore -Washington Parkway before you get up to 410. It looks like traffic may be stopped at the moment. Don't have a visual, but it does appear that traffic may be held up there as a result of a crash. You've also got traffic held I -97 northbound just north as the exit for Benfield Boulevard and Veterans Highway exit 10. And all traffic stopped there due to a couple of vehicles involved in the crash, including one that may have lost its axle. Hence, the roads stopped for the moment because nobody can get by safely. So once they clear a path, it looks like you may be squeezing by to the far right once they're able to do that. But just keep in mind, it's a bit little of a mess there. A little bit of southbound rubbernecking in I -97 as well. 370 westbound on the ramp to go south on 270. Crash remains there, but no serious injury. Again, it looks like traffic is not by there, but be careful nonetheless. If you're traveling in the district for now, no major issues reported along I -295 or DC -295. A new crash is going to be up in northwest Georgia Avenue near Missouri Avenue. may You be under police direction there as a result of that crash. If you're traveling on South Capitol Street or Suitland Parkway for now, no big issues. Virginia side so far so good on 66 both inside and outside the Beltway. As of late, no major issues along 95 or 395. They may be setting up some work on Southbound 395 In the area of Duke Street, we're going to continue to look at that, so watch out. You may find yourself down to a single lane there. They've some been doing bridge work near Duke Street for quite a while. I -95 for now looking good between Fredericksburg and the Beltway Springfield. and No major issues reported. The district is in need of more people to train to take 9-1-1 calls, and the director says, while they try to fill those positions, they may need to be there may be a better way to get help than calling, depending on what you need. I have 28 call taker vacancies. I have 11 dispatcher vacancies. Director of the office of unified communications Heather McGowan says it takes a year to train someone to be a 9-1-1 dispatcher. But they're also the same people who take non emergency calls to three one one for things like trash pickup and city services. We take hundreds of those about 600 of those each day. The state says in just a year, the price has roughly risen by $240 million. That brings the total price tag to 2.3 billion. The new long bridge would be built next to the current one, which connects Pentagon city to the district. Right now, the 117 year old bridge runs at 98% capacity during peak travel. The Virginia passenger rail authority says there is already A380 nine million dollar budget shortfall. It's still believes, though, that the project will be finished in 2030. There are hard boiled, bright at a sure sign of spring. There are 30,000 eggs, 30,000 that kids will play with during this year's White House Easter egg roll. The eggs are donated this year from braswell family farm in North Carolina, farm president Trey braswell says it's an honor to do it, and they want to bring smiles to kids faces. So just make sure you can find an alternate route shouldn't be too difficult, of course. Sounds like there is some sort of police activity at the intersection of Wisconsin avenue and M streets will be aware of that, the extra cautious looks a little crowded. We had it on the southeast Southwest freeway three 95 or 6 95, no delays, no accident scenes, no incidents right now. Northbound two 95, there was a delay past Pennsylvania. Avenue as you make your way on the southeast Southwest freeway, no worries, suitland Parkway looks good as you make way to and from the beltway, Pennsylvania avenue looks great. 50 from the beltway out towards the bay bridge is up to speed, but they're running two way traffic on the eastbound span. I 97 looks good, headed up towards Baltimore and between the beltway is 95 and the BW Parkway looking pretty good. Two 70, no issues, no work zones between Frederick and the bellway, beltway traffic, outer loop looks good. Northbound GW Parkway, there was a crash after one 23, but should be taken care of regardless, just be a little extra cautious if you're headed north down there. Now our review. This week, it's a new Acura, the to the 24 Integra Type S described as a premium sport compact sedan. WTOP car guy Mike Paris talked to Dimitri Sotis about how there are fewer sports cars and sedans being made anymore. Post has 320 horsepower and something that's even more rare than a small sporty sedan like this. It's a manual transmission. That's all you can get with the Type S with this Integra. So it's going to be pretty rare and you're going to have to know a little bit more than just putting in drive to drive this car around. And it absolutely is considered a performance vehicle then. Definitely is. If you know that Acura is of part Honda and Honda has the Integra Type R which has about 215 horsepower so borrowed they that engine and some of the stuff from Honda so you get a little bit more power, just a little bit more grown up than maybe the Honda version. You'd want a body for this to vehicle match that menacing engine. Does it do that? How would you describe it? Well yeah, it definitely is a more grown up version of a sports car. It has the fendered flares and the big wheels and the low profile tires but it doesn't have huge wings and lots of extra aero bits on it so it's a little bit more subdued in the Honda version but it's still, when you see it, you definitely know that this is not your normal Acura Integra. Yeah, they got the three tailpipes that kind of gives you that indication. Does all this mean poor mileage and high price tag? Not poor mileage, the higher price tag? Well yes, it's about $51 ,000 to start if you want the couple options there. It's talking about $53 ,000, $54 ,000 but if you're easy on the gas you can definitely get about 30 miles per gallon on the highway which is pretty darn good for a car with this amount of power. We do cars, always review the good and the bad. What do they need to work on? Well it doesn't have the biggest backseat so if you're buying this car for a big family car you're going to be let down. If you're someone about 5 '6", 5 '7", you'll fit back there taller. much You're going to wish maybe you drove in something else. Well it is quite fun to drive. Some might find it a little too hardcore on a daily basis with a more stiff suspension than maybe some other cars in this price class. UTOP car guy Mike Paris. Crash cleanup on the outer loop near Braddock Road was just moved to the right shoulder and those delays should ease soon, so soon you should be back on movement or moving better around the Beltway especially through Prince George's County. Looking good there. I -270, no problems there. 295, the BW Parkway was a little below speed north through Greenbelt. 50, Route still good both inside and outside the Beltway and to and from the Bay Bridge. Three lanes west, two lanes east across the bay. Head over to Virginia, 66 east. Had a few volume slow spots through Fairfax headed east. The crash near Route 123, long gone. 395, had some volume north near Boundary Channel as way you make your toward the inbound 14th Street Bridge that happens every Sunday afternoon. I -95, just volume at the moment mainly in the southbound lanes. No change, basically. Lorton to Dale City. "WTO P is four. Driving can weather all the age and what it breaks, first is always over to Carlos Ramirez this morning in the WTO traffic center. Thanks dean if you're headed northbound on I 95, they are dealing with a work zone just as you make away past Marilyn one 98. It looks like two lanes, at least two lanes are blocked currently for the work crew. Follow any police direction through the area, BW Parkway looks great in either direction right now. No issues en route 50 from the beltway out towards the bay bridge bay bridge traffic. Looking good so far, three lanes bringing you westbound and two lanes will take you back on the eastbound side. Not seeing any real delays at this time. If you are headed along two ten branch avenue, three O one, things seem to be relatively quiet. They are still dealing with an accident scene in southbound side of branch avenue right by surratt's road looks like two right lanes are blocked there, minimal delays, but a few delays nonetheless, once again, that southbound branch avenue, as you make away past surratt's road, but when he police direction through there, inbound side of the suitland Parkway looks great, looks like just as you make your way past naylor wrote, it is a little slow, but nothing to write home to mom about. In Virginia, the outer lip of the beltway still dealing with that work zone, three lanes blocked on the left hand side of the roadway from the American legion bridge down towards one 93, so far 66 looks great and he works zones that we did have out there aren't in the process of clearing up. So if you see them out there, just give them plenty of room to work one 8 6 6 three O four WTO P is of course the traffic tip line of Carlos Ramirez WTO traffic. "On the beltway in Maryland the top side of the beltway, we definitely have delays in both directions outer loop before university around George Georgia avenue interloop and on volume. Toward Georgia avenue, the ramp may be reopened now. That is still see the crash along the right side of the roadway. It was off the roadway there, but there was response there on the scene drawing some attention if you're on the Baltimore Washington Parkway north but often on volume at a green belt headed toward one 97 inside the beltway southbound after four ten. The wreck was on the right shoulder, so you're still seeing some delays there. It is eastbound 50 heavy from four ten toward four 50. This is a work crew taking the right lane if you're on eastbound 50 out near parole, the right side had been blocked with the wreck, however, the delays have eased, so that 1 may be gone. It is northbound two 70, the delay still passing Watkins mill road. They're doing some cleanup from an earlier vehicle fire. Westbound I 70 at 29 and only city that was a report of a wreck, northbound 15 slows off of 70 and two 70 after roseman Rosemont avenue, the right side is blocked with the work. Now in the district, it is northbound I two 95 before the suitland Parkway, the work takes the left lane, also southbound in the 9th street tunnel at independence avenue that crash is in the right lane. In Virginia 95, southbound slows out of lorton and across the arkan northbound sea some volume in newington, you'll also find on 66 east and westbound, no reported issues. Eastbound glib road after three 95, the work in the right lane and in case you wanted an update on southbound route one in Alexandria after buckman road the crash cleared and the lanes are open. Now there have been an earlier described as a truck fire in Maryland, bellway outer loop before branch avenue along the right side. Inner loop delay, saint Barnabas road down toward the Wilson bridge. Top side outer loop on the brakes from 95 to Georgia avenue, then slower, approaching old Georgetown road head through the big curve toward river road, inner loop, and off mainline two 70, you'll slow from that lane divide and before old Georgetown road headed toward Connecticut avenue. Two 70, we'd had a delay briefly at one O 9, then some slowing and clarksburg, off and on into Germantown, then the bigger delay begins as you get into Rockville. Now there was a wreck, southbound on the main lanes between shady grove in 28. If still there, hoping just out of the roadway. Two 12 southbound before powder mill road the crash, cherry hill road had been closed in both directions up near FDA boulevard, this was a wreck involving a vehicle overturned. A pedestrian crash in Elk ridge had been along route one north of one 75 near port capital drive. All right, our issue in Virginia is going to be on two 36 westbound and Braddock road, word of a crash, the wreck, Scott emailed us 50 westbound and string fellow road that had been blocking the right lane. 66 east, a brief delay east in manassas, then again at 50 fairfax, inner loop will slow out of the Springfield interchange, just headed up toward two 36, then again some slowing at 66 to the toll road, 95 remains slow, Dale City into woodbridge, then just heavy through newington, three 95 had been filling in as you approach duke street, headed up toward king street, then to cross the 14th. We're checking now as we're inside of the beltway, a new wreck in 7 corners on route 7 west near castle road thorn road watch for responders there. 66 heading east toward the beltway, you're slow with work, right lane blocked, both sides of the beltway are slow between the toll road and Georgetown pike, the four 95 next work, northbound jammed through Tyson's getting past the toll road, the left lane is closed, outer loop, it's a right lane block, both sides of the George Washington Parkway, various crews between the beltway and essentially spout run and in both directions, single lane getting by in multiple locations, 95 in Maryland was slow northbound getting past 32, the work scheduled along the right side, checking inside of the beltway, I two 95 northbound getting toward the suitland Parkway doing so in a single lane with work and outbound on suitland Parkway at Stanton road single lane gets by that work. The outer loop still slows through Alexandria toward the Woodrow Wilson bridge, the earlier vehicle fire is now gone. Well, tell you Michelle if you're on the inner loop of the beltway in Virginia, things are looking a lot better. Justice still a brief tap of the brakes trying to head toward Braddock road. The crash was in the express lanes on the inner loop approaching Braddock road. Everything moved off the roadway to the left, so why you can still see everything that's going on, both of your lanes are open in the express lanes again, just a brief slowdown as you get past the scene. If you're on the outer loop of the beltway in Maryland before the Baltimore Washington Parkway, they're doing. So the sound barrier work in the right lane. So this is at the good luck road overpass delays coming from route 50 and off of route 50 headed past the scene. Northbound on the Baltimore Washington Parkway, the delay is approaching and passing powder mill road, northbound 95 slows from one 98 headed toward two 16, watch for work there taking a lane if you're in the district on southbound D.C. two 95. The slowdown is from burrows, headed toward east capitol street. That's where we had a report of a wreck northbound solos before Pennsylvania avenue. And it passed the crash on the southbound side, so that should be just a rubber necking delay. I two 95 looks good, no problems along the suitland Parkway. The southeast Southwest freeway delay free between the case bridge and the 11th street bridge as well. South Dakota avenue at Taylor street northeast, that was a report of a wreck. If you're in Virginia and the George Washington Parkway, northbound headed toward one 23, not seeing much of a delay anymore, but it should still be a single lane getting you by the work. Virginia bellway, Adelaide approaching I 66 to left lanes, get you by the works on a ramp to go west on 66 closed as part of that work, and on the inner loop of the beltway between Arlington boulevard and I 66, you squeeze by the work single files, right? The exits to both westbank and eastbound 66 for now remain open. At one point traffic had been stopped almost both directions northbound was diverting, southbound traffic had been sitting still. Now you're getting by to the right side both directions, northbound is no longer diverting southbound traffic. Again, we'll get by along the far right side of the roadway. Everything here is under police direction. A lot of activity in the median right now. Also the good news on the beltway interlude long-standing issue that was in Chevy Chase is now just potentially a little bit of a delay coming around from three 55 your pace actually starts to improve passing Connecticut avenue. Overnight, there was a wreck near the temple after Connecticut avenue headed up toward Georgia avenue. The tractor trailer was on its side, the right side of him blocked through the overnight all that activity is gone. You'll find two 70, it was a truck fire. I think it was a dump truck, two 70 south down near route 80 in urbana, along the right side of the roadway. I think it's been put out unclear if they've reopened the ramps from 80 to get back onto two 70 south. That's right where all the activity was. All right, a construction vehicle off the roadway down in southern Maryland owings, northbound route four, near mount harmony road that's blocking along the left side. We've got vehicles, both directions along branch avenue. There was a crash up near suitland Parkway, stay right to get by. Pretty quiet so far downtown. We were a little bit heavy going in bed on the 11th street bridge, slow traffic though D.C. two 95 coming south from eastern avenue toward east capitol street, a bit of a delay building in Virginia, headed into the district. Now, if you're traveling in Maryland on 95, southbound approaching the Baltimore bellway works on blocks a single left lane, northbound approaching one 75, two lanes left, get you by the work zone there. Then a delay in Dale City, off and on into dumfries, passing Quantico and from Fredericksburg pretty much passing thornburg, it is after 6 O 6 and thornburgh we have the earlier issue with the tractor trailer fire that the cleanup is still ongoing along the right side of the roadway. So the two left lanes getting you by. But that's why that delay is still sticking around. If you're in the district, both directions of D.C. two 95 are slow headed tortoise capital street, southbound from eastern avenue, northbound coming off the 11th street bridge, the crash was reported in the southbound direction. If you're in the northbound third street tunnel, there were delays coming from the freeway headed into the northbound third street tunnel between the D straight and sea street exits. That was where the left lane was blocked with the work crew. Inbound suitland Parkway before naylor wrote a single lane was getting by the wreck. Piney meeting house road was closed between Boswell lane and Palatine drive for a wreck. And one 44 east Patrick street near key avenue was also a report of a crash.
