"During the regular season. Felt the heat of the cheating scandal and the blowback from the fans and the media and everyone and I think that it did stop stop stop stop you can't say that yes I can't say that and I'm GonNa treat you like Jimmy rollins right now and I'll be pedro like you don't. You don't get to say that and that be true and then They have not dealt with a God damn thing from the fans all. Twenty there on social media, it doesn't matter if they dealt with. Shoppers are not like what do you do when you don't want to answer your phone? You don't think they're not doing what I guarantee you the like when this first happened they definitely like for me like you don't feel it from the I don't go in front of Crowds I. Don't think that you have to be in front of the PLO that's weird. That's weird. You don't go in front of crowds. Why not? Because I'm in content like it's I'm not I'm not a baseball player but that doesn't mean that I don't feel it from the fans if something happens like you hear from them on the Internet. So. Jared. My friend, the Internet and forty thousand people I'm not saying it's the same thing. They're not even close and that's why we can't I. Just I can't sit here and listen to Oh, they've really paid their dues. Like nine. News. You said, the fans have gotten autumn they have they have they have. They have gotten on the astros any more than they would get on anybody else who's on the Internet To consumer downplaying the effect that like Internet scrutiny can have on somebody's psyche like that's no no no. No. I'm not I'm saying that the Internet effect. Is something that you can avoid like if they wanted to jared if they wanted to, you can't tell me no yes you can't watch this. See my phone, see my phone the camera watches gone through my phone away I decided not to look at everything that's being said about you know. The that's fine. What they can't avoid though is if fans are in the stands, they don't get to throw their phone anywhere. They don't get to do a fucking thing about it. That is a battle that they have yet to face. So if they're fighting the discipline of. Don't get on my phone today or if I get on my phone today, this is what I'll do. I. Won't get I'm not going to entertain I'm knocking interact with they can make all of those choices. Once you walk into the baseball field filled with fans that choice has been taken from you you don't get to do that any longer. There's no safe-space for you like there is when you don't look at your phone. So for you to tell me that they're on their phone, there's no denying that I've even pointed out before you made your point that. Carlos Correa has been very active on social media to the point where he's talking shit making it a point to be forward-facing and he's backing it up. So he's one guy who's doing that on that club and he's doing it because he's taking the arrows for the team. He's essentially said Hey look I've got a presence on social media all be that guy I have no problem if all the arrows come at me and we just do what we do as club that I'm thinking I'm totally good with it because guess who's not doing that same shit is Bregman. Take not taking the arrows but like I know he's that's what I'm saying. Jerry's gross things stuff though I. What is your? Is He interacting I. Just gave you the definition. He's not interacting. He's withholding stuff though he's putting himself out there but he's he's. Supposed to get people on the Internet something to reply to with something negative. He's not. He hasn't gone done to Hyatt's. That's that's fine but he is not doing anything close or remotely close to what Carlos Correa is doing. So when you tell me Alex Bregman posts a picture or fires off a tweet. You're right. He does do that. He is active on social media. What he's not doing jeered is engaging in the banter and the bullshit from the fans who were crushing him. So when he sends a picture out with him and his. Wife and his fiancee or whatever, and it's Oh did you cheat for that ring? Did you Blah Blah Blah? He's not responding to that. He's not interacting with that. So he posted his picture and he saw what are we giving Korea credit for we're giving cray credit for Like talking shit after the Astro's beat the twins no no no, we're not giving credit to any of them. I'm actually trying to get you to understand how as much as you think the Internet has affected the Houston Astros. During this time, I'm trying to get you to understand that that is about as low level of an impact as they could possibly have felt if there were stands earth, there were fans in the stands to different Bolic's. Not like it's it's not even close to different boxes to check and. I I don't agree that like the Internet Shit storm doesn't affect them like it does like one. So I think I'm not saying that again. On. The Internet Shit storm does not even like if these were waves if these were waves jared. All right. The Internet should storm is a is like a a wave pool that you go play in at a waterpark when you have to deal with fans every fucking day of the year after you've done what you've done that is like facing a fucking sue Nabi standing on the beach watching the end of days combat you. Going nowhere I do do where you go bonds. Booed everywhere and like if you hear. Like he's out there being like they don't boo nobody's and it's Like. What would you rather here? Would you rather hear a collection of forty thousand booing you which honestly has the potential to pump you up and enhance your performance or would you rather sit there and scroll for one hour and just read horrible things about you and your family and your loved ones and and so I would much rather get booed by forty thousand people. Then read horrible things about me on the Internet..

"Personally and professionally for me. while. When I feel like half of. At least my presence on this podcast is saying Brownie Brown, saying those words. Followed up with some sacrilegious hallowed, be thy name rhetoric but. I my experience is different, but you know eerily similar in that. Once someone into her out I I was in the middle. So you know you know what our show is and we talk a lot about writing panic and. That's all we talked about. We talk about you know sort of a context around that. So for me, I was a workaholic I. Definitely used work as a status symbol. Worked myself into panic attacks which was an. Issue that I didn't even know existed and. Once, I was trying to do the work on myself and sort of frantically googling what to do the word Mona, road, map, and changing. The Ted talk with her around shirt came up and I was like an. Angel from heaven sort of ballsy broad you know being. I. Love Her you know. and. Same thing. It was life changing. I. Would Love to say she was life changing but it's It's I think she does such a good job of saying it's my work. You know it's my worms. and Yasser same united power read everything. I. Was never you and I can't encourage enough. You know not because everything she says is. Golden and Down from the heavens, it's because. It's just simple. Of you know giving yourself a break and. Maybe, there's work to do in this direction and just. Letting you see yeah. You're probably a super capable person that has a couple of wounds year on there and. Go Out and do it just like you know don't don't be to just take a leap and so here I am on a podcast. Yeah I love that at and I read the way that she breaks down the information and the material is is so digestible. It's just us all. One of the things. That I mean there's so many things that have stayed with me that influence so much do interact with people how I try to live, but you know just one of the really practical things that. has stayed with me. All these years is just what she says about when you enter the arena shaming scarcity are always going to start shouting. You know any, you're being vulnerable anytime. You're being grave anytime relieving the comforts on and doing something new. Scares. The are gonNA show up in your life and you have to know that not as. Point of dread, but just a point of awareness so that you weren't taken down by them so that you don't believe them so that you can just recognize. Oh. There shaming scarcity there they are. They're shouting to me right now that's not something that I need to believe or take his truth that's just a sign that I'm being grade and that right there has just been revolutionary for me Oh. Yeah. Teach teach. Yeah it is and I love how earlier you're saying you know talking about hiding in your own life a paraphrase. But that entering the arena you know sort of metaphor it's I can actually picture it in my own mind you know and and how she goes further to say by the way if you are being criticized by people that are in the cheap seats. So you know I know we're gonNA, talk about social media, and especially during this wild time we're letting right. which seems to be the theme of every show we've had between March and. You know But it just like it's even everybody's lives but you if you're going to criticize or you feel you're being criticized or. People are trying to invoke that shame responding to new and these are people that are not doing the work with you. They don't count they do nerve their opinion doesn't count so. Since we're here it means since we're already. Doing that. This whole. Well let me ask you this. House your quarantine. How Are you you're in the world I mean this is no secret show and I talk about it you know with all of our guests but I. I am a coach I am a postpartum newland. I do all these things you know and I worked for in. That world but I'm also an insurance adjustor. I get get to escape people's emotions and work with shells. Because I kind of joked about before. I, really love occasion time. So I get to escape mental health ice get my own mind. How are you? I mean how the dairy way facilitator how does how does a counselor and the therapist and a speaker in wonder? How are you dealing with St? Like Sue Nabi. Of other people's emotions during this time yet. Well. Thank you so much for Osteen. The second. UK. What. I'm sure you are. But what is how suspend for you? Yeah I tell you. It has been wild. I could think of a lot of words these. Wild been hard I feel comfortable in saying this is. You. Know I just look up on sex, but some of the five six hardest months they've just been really intense I have to school-age children and so you know here in Georgia starting March. Lives changed and They were home doing virtual school, which we'd never done before and any of us. That was just. something. And then. Such appreciation or a southern word I. Just WanNa stopped because that is the most southern thing I've ever heard in my life. Now my girlfriend is from Virginia, and once in awhile she'll come out with something like that and she'll just say exceeding really needs to an emphasis on something as she will just say one word but with a drawl and shoulder, say it is. Something and I know. Six months of hell packed into that one word and I love you for that. All right. So it was something I. Think we all know what that could.

"I mean, you know, Patrick Mahomes dad, a little bit of pro athlete. Andrew looks a little bit of pro athlete mean went to six five. Got a cannon for an arm can run all over the field. Trevor Lawrence, I watched them play in high school. It just he just did not look like anybody I've ever seen during football in high school. Didn't look like anybody. I've gone all these high school camps. I've never seen high school quarterback. I saw him surrounded by nine other five star high school quarterbacks. He looked like a college quarterback and he was seventeen years old. He was actually throwing the ball better than a handful of NFL guys can throw it, and I'm not joking on that. So I think you signed the deal now of course, with Andrew luck and Carson Wentz, you bet injuries. But I think you roll the dice on that, if you look at Carson Wentz his career stats, these are amazing. He started as a rookie and they had a very chaotic offensive line situation as a rookie. They had no wide receivers as a rookie and his stats all-time or sixty four percent completion percentage. You know. Almost three times the mini touchdowns his pants and a passer rating ninety two point five. The, the kids have stud. He really is. Now, do you worry about the injury stuff? Yeah. But I think Howie Roseman smart, and you figured it out. He said, you know what if we wait a year or two and Patrick Mahomes contract comes up, and they're gonna offer Patrick two hundred million. We might as well just give this kid a lot of money now. And in the meantime, force, the Dallas Cowboys into a little uncomfortable situation where okay crap. We signed this now Carson Wentz than the Cowboys probably have to pay back over thirty million dollars a year because that's what Carson's gonna get. Now, I think Carson's worth it if you pay deck that you're going to have to you're not going to be able to sign. Everybody Dallas has drafted extraordinarily. Well, in fact, field Yates put this up yesterday on Twitter. The eagles veteran players are now assigned for at least three more years, so you can have a three year run Philadelphia. They're going to be. A pain in the arse to deal with. That's why I've said, I think New England and Kansas City in the colts and the Steelers are favorites to get to the Super Bowl in the AFC. I think there's four really good teams. Keep your on the chargers. They got a good roster. I think Philadelphia's my favorite to get in the NFC. I think I like Philadelphia lot. So I, I like the move. Let me go back to something I led the show with we talked a lot about it the warriors investor Mark Stevens was banned for a year and fined five hundred K for shoving Kyle Lowry, and according to Lowry. I don't know if there's audio or anything on this, or anybody can lip read, but he also said, a bunch of expletives at Kyle Lowry, which is just. It's hard to wrap my brain around a Harvard team owner swearing in pushing an NBA player. But I got video of most of that. I did get people yesterday that push back on me and said, Colin you said he should be taken out of the ownership circle and get them out of the arena's. Yes. I did. And I believe that. And the defense, a lot of people said this, and it's an important. This is an important thing to bring up, Colin one bad moment shouldn't ruin your life. One, bad moment, doesn't equal bad guy. I'm not saying that and I think that's I think that's a fair point that we live in a world now where you could be an outstanding. I mean you could literally be. A wonderful public servant, you could be a politician. A small state Senator making sixty grand a year for fifty years, one. Bad tweet, you're out of office in your horrible person. I've seen this avalanche this hate sue Nabi this tyranny of the mob on social media. I've seen it just devour very well, meaning people..

"If it is on both you buy at once and it works like they're definitely trying to kind of establish a platform vendor. It's okay, upgrade, it's not like mind blowing, but feels pretty sideways upgrade doesn't even feel like the right word here because there's enough trade offs to where it's like, okay. I like I see the appeal. And honestly, I almost wanna get one. Just just for the convenience factor of not having to set that crap. That'll own is worth it. I would I would use that headset more than the one that I have not touched in months. I think I would too stopped all the Oculus services on my PC and just like unplugged all the sensors. "Eighteenth t Pebble Beach Pro-Am all weekend on CBS. That's right. Move into the Players Championship. That's been bumped up to March roll right into the masters, obviously down at Augusta in April. You've got the PGA championship which has been moved to may. You've got the US open, which is June. You've got the open championship overseas, which is July. And basically, it's golf season's potus. Brother looking forward to it is and Dustin Johnson playing well so far the Jays modest five minus five through fourteen these two shots off the lead, obviously very early. But Tony fee now, I see him prominently on the leaderboard and Jason days. Well, so some good named Brendan graces that I believe he's where's he from the South African Brandon grace? I believe he is. But worry Sabatini's plot worry seventeen. Jeez. Where's he been Lucas Glover's up there as well? Modest four sell Gulf is underway. Let's get back to the Durant stuff. More on the bronze. Well, one eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven listen if Kevin Durant wants to live in this fantasy tale and this fairy tale world of not being asked about anything other than basketball. Here's what Kevin Durant can do you can willingly voluntarily give back. Like he deal Gatorade. Whatever else endorsement you have which probably is about thirty or forty million in totality excluding is actual player contract, which is earned every penny of his great. And you know what? Go to the cage on west fourth street gulp to Roker Park. Go out to Philly. I'm sure there's some good run in Chicago when the weather's warm same out was same out west LA in certain spots. And you don't want go to a sneaker store and buy a pair of sneakers like the rest of us. Go play pickup, and nobody will bother you. But don't you feel his angst? No from all of the speculation. Not real it. He doesn't know where he's got. Maybe he does though where he wants to play next year. But isn't know where he's going to play next year? But it seems like I think he knows we're all we're all creating this narrative before even you know happen in. So I can understand why gets frustrating. And I think and I honestly believe this. This is coming from his teammates like his teammates because they're real out there in Golden State. You know, that they hold you accountable like talking behind your back or around your shoulder. I can you know, you should be like tell you to your. Yeah. Which is why they're so good. A lot of accountability. And so I think he's starting to hear that from his teammates. And that's why he's getting frustrated at the media because he's he's sitting there saying, what do you want me to do? They're asking me these questions, we all know that it's a possibility kids sit here and say I'm gonna sign what the Golden State Warriors for the next decade. Just say, you don't know. But that's not good enough. I think that's what that's the point. It's spoken to nine days. He hasn't said, I don't know if that's because if he would have said because guys are writing these articles as if they do know, and that's hard, right? You've put words into his mouth. Someone's putting words in his mouth that aren't true and they are trained, and I believe that's why he's react. I'm gonna give you the different parts of psychology here. I believe that there's a part of Kevin Durant right now that is bothered by the fact that we know where he's going and he's going to play for the Knicks his agents in New York there is you the Knicks don't trade porzingas without some serious Intel that Kevin Durant is coming to the garden. Yeah. And I believe that. Kevin Durant is bothered by the fact that he obviously can't speak to that. Now. Clearly. Yeah. If he denies or or rejected vehemently, he's gonna look like a liar true who've come July. I if you come to the next it again, I believe he will I believe it bothers. But I think it also gets in the way of what he wants to accomplish. So just because he might be playing for the Knicks next year doesn't mean that he doesn't want to win a championship right now. With the Golden State Warriors. And he's the best player on the ten win. Another MVP in the finals. But it's so do it do both. It's just hard. It's a long way off doesn't look hard. The dominating course, they're dominating people. But it's a long way off that to happen. So to be asked the same thing over and over and over to give the same answers over and it gets frustrating. Coming back to the same point. I understand that. I guess that maybe Kevin Durant needs. This is actually a compliment here. Although some advice as well. Because I've gotten on Durant pretty hard to meet everything I said, maybe I didn't mean to calm a dope. Maybe I take that back. If I could have one word back. I will take that. When I was little bit worked up everything else will stand by better than I don't need to call somebody though. But I think that Kevin Durant needs to step back and understand how great he is. And it's his greatness that wants this this. We are trying to quench our thirst as it pertains to Kevin Durant. He is so good. He is so physically and rare and unstoppable that has created this sue Nabi of a pursuit of information. And I know that it's frustrating. Yeah. But he's got to understand that. But it's speculation that gets frustrating. I think like if we want to question him. What's question about his game is the question. I player right now. He's the best player in the world right now. He's the best right because LeBron's on a little step down plateau right now. We'll vacation he make a backup vacation right now. You're right. Katie's the busboy early on the plant is run right now, by the way, I think when the Braun even if LeBron plays the next ten and plays like LeBron. You still have the conversation. Maybe. Kevin durant? The best player now. Now, you're healthy. Right. Lebron? You're right. His his his shot is indefensible play he rebounds. He does. He does everything all defensively much the last four or five, you're right. You're right in the warriors. Lebron is now taking time off because he knows he's got to do it. All yeah. You could make that argument. Did you see the one highlight? I know we came out he banged in his first I think it was the first six shots in the first quarter last night. Did you see the one when he when he was street the Dow down. Yes, he came straight down the lane. He looked like he was twenty five or twenty four years old. I mean, he had some lift and so down some flexible that look. But you forget it because he plays so much on the perimeter. How long he? Yeah. I I it was like he's type it looked like he left a foot inside the free throw line. And his back foot was still at the free throw line when he threw the ball. And basket, you know, what I mean seriously looked like his body took up the entire lane. That's because that's how that's how long he is. Obviously, you don't want to do that all the time because all it takes is one little undercut or step in wrong on somebody's foot in your you destroy yourself or destroy your season. But his athleticism is off the chain. It really is just we're going to get these calls. I promise that we're going to go with this a little bit more. I was just jotting down some names. And these are this has nothing to do with the order of best players. Although all these guys most of these guys have not all of them would be my top ten but many of them would as a look down. Probably missing somebody's that do this in real time. But as I look back at over the the evolution of the sport of basketball, right? And it's easier to identify this hoop. Senate is baseball much easier. Maybe even easier than football. I look at you have to put George Mike, and I was going to put George George Mike and the first big man, you'll see where I'm going Mike in wilt Oscar who was really Jordan before Jordan Magic six nine point guard. Yeah. Dirk seven foot range up big time radio shack, just a flat and actually shack before Dirk beast. Yeah. Just ridiculously physical. Lebron combining force and velocity. And Steph in terms of the three point shot, and obviously Durant is on this list in terms of players that I may have missed one or two. That's a pretty good list players who have changed the physics, by the way, the game is played Durant is on that list. Yeah. Of course, you don't get the Durant is on that list. Because the only thing that you can do to defend him when he's out around the perimeter is bring your big man your center, and he just dribbles around the block. He's he he. Stuck in the mud and because of that he's really made the NBA a center lists league. Guess because if you don't have a five move his feet and rolled or rotate whether it's off the screener role, or whatever it is. You can't play. It destroys right? So, you know, he's I mean, he's he's great. But he's got relax, Dan's it, in my opinion in Wisconsin. Dan is on Tiki and Tierney. What's up, Dan? How you doing? I have no qualms whatsoever with Kevin Durant intact. I respect respect him a whole lot more interesting. Why give it give him? The demise of Mr. Robinson today. I gotta these professional sports players could learn from him and his quiet dignity. You know, and after two weeks of listening to LeBron cry about who he wants to play with who you wants to coach and everything else. I really don't want to hear from another professional basketball player until yada is holding up the world championship trophy as interesting. He has a good chance. Get the buffs fans from Wisconsin, dad. You're right, Dan. They got the best record in basketball. And they I mean, he was amazing last night. Forty three forty three. But there was just like some of the things he was doing like the dish. She hit the Malcolm Brogdon over over on the left wing sit for a three pointer wide open. I mean, he was dead straight looking back at the point guard. I forget who it was. And just flipped it through two defenders brogden caught it up. You know, catch it on the hip catch catch and shoot drilled it. I mean, this he's turned. I mean, he might be the MVP right now is the NBA. He's my MBA, I'm overly focused, obviously. Because I want to see James harden do what he's doing. And it's just amazing but Yoenis guy. Yeah. And their team is ridiculous. Good when they got something they needed with miratec. They needed him the raptors, you know, listen, I love the raptors going and bringing them Marcus, Saul Tobias Harris we touch on that yesterday. Mike. What it can you read the the poll question? I haven't really given this out we've been so wrapped up in Durant. Lebron I think it's a great question you, and I can answer it now. And obviously give people the chance to chime in on Twitter it pertains to the Eastern Conference, Mike. What is it buddy?.

"Show. It's a pleasure to be with you. And I'm planning to take your phone calls and emails as you may. And probably have heard. There was a fairly major earthquake that occurred in Alaska today the latest number. I heard was a seven, but I might get a get a better idea of exactly what it was from a man who is standing in the middle of it when it happened. He's one of my former producers kellyn peers now the program director at ninety four seven k c and d and he's doing very well. Despite the fact that he has associated with this show. I hope I hope they don't hold that against you talent. Do they? So were you already awake? When this quake hit this morning. I was just about to leave the house headed down to the station. I was actually over the stove wrapping up a burrito to take with me. And it just started out of nowhere. It's not the first we've had we actually had one in February that was a little weaker down in Kodiak, and I knew immediately what was going on. But it was relentless. It didn't just when you think it's about to peak. It kept getting worse. I start hearing the whole building rattles the lights. Start to Brown out glass. Starts to shatter everything starts to fall off the shelves. My pets are freaking out and it won't stop. And I just jump into the into the doorway like instinctively, and I realize just how little of a chance that has to save me. Even though it's my best option. It just it lasted an eternity this morning. Well. We're talking to my producer Karl you're telling him this actually scared. You pretty good. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. This was like I said last last in February we had a a smaller one slightly smaller. But it was enough to wake me shake me out of bed. This one I feared for my life. I thought I was going down with the building it every my entire apartment was on the floor this morning. And I had enough time to think, you know, what I could probably bail and make it to the street if I just run now, and I did I picked up my dog, and I ran out the door. So it's it's the closest I've come to talking to God in a long time. No doubt. Well, I've always thought about that. Because you know, anyone on the Pacific rim has the potential. We're told we could get an eight or nine one day. And and I kind of always -ticipant at some point is going to happen to might not happen for another fifty years. But it might might happen. Fifty minutes from now. And I've always wondered, you know, depending on where you are. I've thought if you're downtown you may not want to run outside if their big buildings falling glass does a lot of damage, but if you're on your own house, and you think you can get out to a good open space work, you know, phone poll or something else that got a drop down on top of you. That's it'd be tough to make split-second decision. Where do I go? And what's the safest place to be absolutely? You know, and I felt. No doorway, the doorway was my second best option. I can think of at the time. The problem that we have here in Alaska Anchorage, specifically is that as you get closer to the bay for the inlets you're on what's called bootleggers clay clay instead of bedrock and it liquefies in a series earthquake. And that's what caused so much damage back in the sixties up here in Anchorage. So if you go outside there's also a chance that the earth could just open up and swallow you to boy, it's kind of a six of one half two dozen your doorway is just as safe. Hey, what were your neighbors doing as you're doing? All that actually pretty funny. Alaska has very proud of. You know, you're at the mercy of God up here more than I would say more than almost anywhere else in America. And within fifteen minutes, all my neighbors outside on our front snowed out front lawn passing around a bottle of crown. Chuckling about having been through another one now, so I take it your house other than knocked in your entire kitchen out of the cabinet onto the floor. Did your house suffer any real permanent damage? Not that we can tell, you know, a couple of the double pane windows, lost pain hit the ground other than that. You know, we're it'd be nice to have a professional come out and tell us our building is safe, but no real visible damage and from what I can tell these these buildings were built to wobble. They're no stranger to it. Well, since since we're on the radio on the radio and urine radio how radio station. Taylor was knocked out. It's in the middle of so just to the east of Anchorage is eagle river and the bigger city wa- Ciller bigger town, which is home to Sarah Palin. I guess she just announced at her house got kind of damaged from a few houses have had some structural damage sinkholes opened up here and there but the bridges. Connecting those towns to Anchorage or out major portions of the highway have been washed out there've been rockslides the tower that we sit just above the town of fifty five thousand is the whole city is out. Nobody has power up there. Apart from the bridge. The airport is down had to with vacuum. Wait, grocery stores are suffering structural damage. They're all close today gas stations have had to turn their their gas off. So it's it's pretty long lines at the pump. Well, and when you say you're towers out does that mean that the actual tower is down or just your powers out? No power is out to everybody up there. Our towers still standing there. Okay. And and the radio station building is that good shape today. We there's a couple of sinkholes walking up to the front door little holes. Yeah. We're brick building. I actually here at the station than I do at home the internet works the power works. The water is clean, which is is only has one up on my home right now. And by the way, the other concern we got when you're near the water in one of these is as soon NAMI or any kind of effect on a you're right next to the water. So what happened in that regard? While we got me warning. You don't have to go into town to be high enough away from the inlet. But when I mentioned how resilient Alaskans are v. Crater that was left by the last major earthquake back in the sixties. There are dozens of. New condos down there in the crater. What they built they built were the worst damage was on top of the wreckage. Yeah. So those are some of the newer buildings, and I'm not sure what kind of damage we're looking at that. You know, the third actually in the middle of construction on a lot of them. So those people I'm sure had greater concerns than we did. But the evacuation notice was it was recalled in about an hour. And you know, nobody. There. They're so familiar with earthquakes up here that I think they say a four or five every fifteen minutes just in the state of Alaska. That they don't they know how NAMI. Nami as to to Anchorage. So the epicenter of the seven point oh was about six miles away. So we we definitely felt the shock. But when it comes to sue Nabi now, we're kind of on the end of the inlet. So there's not a whole lot of open water there to to really get momentum poorest, well, Colin I'm just glad to hear. You're safe kellyn Pearson. One of my former producers, he's now the program director at Alaska's rock alternative ninety four seven Casey. I done the show from Palmer during the state fair up there. I've done the show from.

"Before the midterms. And if you are just a little bit nervous congressman Biggs wants the goals nerves. Conservative. We have congressman Andy Biggs in the center. Ring of the conservative circus. Congressman Biggs, the president has called our immigration system. Obsolete and broke. And I know you agree with them. But does congress have an idea how they will fix it. Well, I do. And I that's why I float the bills that I float. I I talked to people about the people that live back east, and that's two thirds of congress. They don't appreciate fully what we're talking about. And so we just have to keep pounding. And let them know for sure what to do. And I think if the Republicans get back in the house and the Senate, I think you're gonna see something happened. We have the right now the president is sending troops down to the border. He's also talking about tinkering with the fourteenth amendment. He's getting pushback not only from the left we expect that he's also getting pushed back from these stablishment wing of the Republican party. What do you think about the president's latest moves? Well, I support the troops on the border that are going to have a unique mission and it's going to provide support to the border patrol. But when you start talking about this birthright citizenship James to you know, there's people listening in. They know there's people respondents and one of the biggest incentives to come into this country and stay here illegally used to have a birth. A baby born here because that brings you you get all the everything else that a citizen gets you're going to get all the social welfare programs the education, you're going to get an opportunity to bring in what some people call chain migration. Get to bring in all kinds of relatives to come in with you. And with the president said is is right. There's nothing in the constitution that allows that nothing in any of the post civil war amendments thirteen fourteen fifteen that allow it no courts ever come out squarely. Congress has never done it. This was done by an executive action. He can he can rescind bad executive action, but congress has to act on this. I know thank you for for explaining that. Because so often you hear all the pundits that, you know. Of course, the president can't do that the president can't he's executive order. But this wasn't in the law in the first place. The fourteenth amendment has been bastardized since the nineteen sixties to allow illegal immigration. And so I I sort of stand with the president. I'm sort of curious how he's gonna go about doing it. But the second part of what you just said congressman Biggs is really important. Why didn't other widen the speaker of the house once he talked about either executive orders? Why didn't the speaker of the house that you know, what it'd be pre sheet that Mr President? But this is something that congress should be doing and that we plan to do he just pushed back and then said nothing. Well, here's here's the thing. James, I co sponsored a Bill to eliminate birthright citizenship and the leadership and they never really fully assigned it. I mean, it's it's just in limbo right now. I my bills for border wall. That's in limbo. Now, the other bills that I've been working on dealing with this very very serious issue. And I think people in Arizona, the president gets it the people who voted for this president and all my bills have been stacked up. When they deal with illegal immigration issue. They've been set aside, and they haven't nothing's really happened. And they want to do something like they wanted to do an omnibus Bill where you're trading amnesty for a border wall, and those types of things and that just doesn't cut it. It just doesn't cut it. When we talk about change of leadership. There's been, you know, for a while we were hearing McCarthy Republicans hold the house who are the people who are vying for to be speaker where that have declared a Jim Jordan, one of the original founders the house freedom caucus with Matt salmon and others. But he's he's in it. And he's working hard on it. Kevin McCarthy is he's working hard on it. I don't know that either one of them she's the finish line yet. And if they don't see the finish line, then there might be a kind of a a conciliation candidate. Maybe somebody like Steve Scalise or Kevin Brady of ways of news heard his name. So the two main our Jim Jordan Kevin McCarthy, but there will be I met they get the to eighteen right now, we have congressman Andy Biggs on the line. You know, congressman I was hoping for an October surprise. We are waiting for more information on the investigation into the Democrats roll of Kalou of colluding, but the FBI and the Russians and we kept hearing that something is coming, but we dealt see it. When will we get a chance to see it? Record October surprises were November through. Then there's that. But let me just let me just say this. I've been participating as you know, in the House Judiciary committee member I've been attending most of these depositions and closed door interviews, and I'm just telling you that it is real the corruption at the highest levels of DOJ, and the FBI and their attempts to influence the election, and and. You say you had those guys doing it because they had a bias against Donald Trump. He also had the Democrats with their fusion GPS that we're trying to influence the election that way, so you have all this going on. And we're just finding it out. But we can't get the attorney general to to prosecute. This is why we keep saying we need a second independent council. We don't I don't I don't really like those independent counsels. But we have found evidence of crimes, and that's you need a special counsel. I guess to prosecute that. Because the geez officers not doing anything on it. And that's part of the problem. Because some of those people that are still there are implicated in all of the investigation that we've been doing how about a new AG. I like the sessions personally, but I'm struggling with his performances, the attorney general, I mean, you you gotta do more than just even he's not even really doing much on the border. He's talking tough. But not we're not seeing some substantive changes. We have to see substantive changes. And we actually might end up with a new attorney general you might we have congressman Andy Biggs in the center. Ring of the circus now for the money ball question. Congressman are you putting your money on a Blue Wave or a red sue Nabi? I believe. The Republicans are gonna expand in the in the Senate. I think we're going to keep the house. I think we're gonna keep the house by more members than most people are saying, I mean, I just I the Democrats are already counting their chickens before they hatch. Right. And and they're already talking about how they're going to fight for leadership and committees and all that stuff. But the reality is. We are seeing these races that were going blue that a lot of them are turning red right now you seeing that I think you see in a red wave it won't be soon NAMI. But I think it's gonna be pretty solid, and I I'm predicting somewhere between seven and ten seat majority in the house as well, which which will allow us to keep keep moving on in a positive direction. I tell you what if we keep the keep the Senate. And if we keep the house, I'm gonna call that read some NAMI, even if we lose numbers, I mean, we were supposed to lose everything if we hold this. That's going to be historic. Is it not? I mean, when's the last time? An off year the the party in control kept their kept the numbers that go in two or three times in history. Right. It doesn't happen. Very often saying that since you're exactly right because it will be a historic thing. And and I think it's right there. I think we're on the cusp of getting its and and you're right. It would be unique. And it would actually send a signal. It would send a very real signal that people like a good economy that people don't want to go back to where we were just three years ago. People like a strong America people like the president, and the congress that puts America first over foreign interests that that we that we really realized that we have an immigration problem that we have to reduce regulation the size and scope of government that would all be manifest in not only that but the federal judges as well that that that are so critical to to restoring the the idea of freedom, individual freedom and responsibility that that is in the American DNA. So I'm hopeful. I'm very hopeful. Congressman Andy Biggs hanging out with the congressman last night van tastic outing beautiful beautiful people, beautiful like minded individuals. And I wanted them all today because the things that he was saying talk last night was really encouraging to hear somebody who's in congress. You know, what we don't know? You could be wrong. We don't know what's going to happen. On tuesday. But I'm here to tell you that if everybody shows up if we get out, and we vote in the same way we did in twenty sixteen. I think we're going to have the same results. The I'm not saying that the left is not is not energized. They certainly are. But I don't think I don't think that the polls. And I certainly know that the media is not really reflecting. How we the people feel and they're not correctly gauging, our energy level, the closer, you can get to that is to watch these Trump rallies. But what we are feeling as you know, these these we're having great times the economy has turned around. We're having great times the country respected in the world. Again, L the left tells us that that that we're not. But look what was happening with the youth. Look what's happening. With North Korea. Look good was happening with Russia. Do you even look at what's happening in Mexico, South America? This caravan though, this caravan I believe that it was another blunder the Cavanaugh hearings and the caravan here has America's wide awake. To the point where you know, folks, accused Trump of funding this thing. That should be an indication of how this whole coverage of it is backfiring. You have Americans. You have Democrats who was eyes are wide open as well. And I don't care how you cut it. The president pointing out the fact that you have these illegals trying to storm the way into the country is not a racist thing is a security thing. You cannot have a country if you don't have borders, they're playing the race card when it comes to the caravan, and you have all of the the left these and the media on board. But will that card win them the game? We'll talk about it at five twenty fourteen minutes after the hour time for east.
