"He sue ban the last time. I was talking to you. I was getting rejected at a club in hollywood because i had changed out of my heels into flip flops after the espy's and we're not for you arriving to save me and and essentially tell them letter in who knows how i would have spent the rest of that night certainly more sober. I would imagine nice to see. Again is nice to see you as well and i'm happy i could do that for you. Pk sue ban is a defenseman for the new jersey devils. He's a three time. Nhl all star a norris trophy winner for best nhl defensive player in two thousand thirteen and lucky for us and nhl playoff analysts for espn. We got game two tonight in the stanley cup. Final between the tampa bay. Lightning in montreal. Canadian's a team. I think it's fair to say you know pretty well But before we get to the rest of the series. I want to look back a game. One played in tampa a one goal game after two periods. And then the lightning highlighted on in the third to grab the wind five to one. Let's start with what you saw from tampa bay in this game on. I think what was most impressive about tampa bay was their ability to stick to their game as a team. That's coming off of winning a stanley cup. Obviously a long playoff run. Now you know. Did they think that they'd be playing the montreal canadians and the stanley cup final. I'm not sure. But you know. I think that as far as all the other teams in the competition throughout the season whether it's the colorado colorado avalanche vegas the islanders these teams that maybe a lot of people were expecting to be in the finals for them not to be there. You expect. Maybe they come down a level. Maybe they don't play to the level of competition that they're used to. And i just felt that you know. They were pretty consistent throughout the whole game From the goal tending to the defense the way they moved pop puck side of the zone. They played with pace I thought that as the game went on the battle level continue to get higher and higher naked. See that at the second period. They just really separated themselves from the other team on the ice. By the way they want battles There's sustained offensive zone pressure. You could just see it's a little bit demoralizing when you play against the team in the stanley cup final and in the first game. You're spending most of the time in your own zone. So i thought tampa at a really good game Montreal probably have to start today. Wanted you know to come out I know tampa was up one. Nothing but You know when they went up two nothing to cut the lead to two one coming into the third period. They're in a good position against a really good team They just didn't get the bounces at any buck log and chances to what's it gonna series as a whole the goaltending on display absolutely world class. Can you hold this in with for headman. Yes right circle. Snap goes up in price glove. We gotta talk about carey price. Your old montreal teammate. He let in five goals in game one but he's been pretty stellar in this postseason. What have you seen from price. So far in the postseason at endgame one well. I think that he's going to be tested in the series a lot and not to take anything away from my biggies at remarkable play offs. And he's he's one of the best if not the best goaltender in the league But you know tampa has got some of the best players in the league and they seem carey price playing in the eastern conference. I remember when i was playing in montreal. A lot of the players that are there now and stamkos kucherov. A breaking point was kind of came in a little bit later but johnson kill lorne edmond. All these guys know pricey so they played against some I think that you know with tampa where he's going to have a huge challenges their ability to move box east west and they all out east west and it's very very difficult you can see it with kucherov walking off the wall going east west. Quick wrister You know at the point shots at tampa keeps sustaining offensive zone pressure and cycling. The bach and getting pucks through is gonna be a tough series for kerry and montreal so those five goals that carry price that up in game one a bit of a blip the most. He's allowed this postseason on the other side. No blip for andrei vasilevskiy tampa bay's goaltender. He's been incredible the other way. Right side anderson across shot katie. Hotan with the long pricing bass latchkey are the only two winners of the best goalie. Vote since the nhl players association began publishing its player. Polls in two thousand seventeen eighteen. What makes us less ski so tough. Well listen he's yom obviously is younger than kerry but i think that they have similar styles. They have ability to block as a goalie. They're so big. They take up a lot of the net but they also have the ability to make the second and third save so as a shooter. You know that when you're shooting the puck. I think it was the second goal you could see. Blake coleman kind of walked into the middle shot. it wasn't picking a corner and it happened to seek drew. Carey's arm cross montreal line high slot shoots block. And that's the you're gonna be guys like that so You know for for vast and pricey. It's about the second and third saves and their ability to always be in the right position. You know those kind of goals have a lot of different names in hockey. I think sometimes chunky is one of them right. You guys name those things a lot after the game. If you get in a goal like that takes a couple of bounces you know you beat a great goaltender. But maybe maybe got lucky. Do you talk about it afterwards with your teammates. Do you make fun of the fact that you got. You had to get lucky to get one past them. Listen you gotta be in the right place at the right time but you have to also know how to create opportunities Think about all the opportunities that are lost guys. That don't shoot the buck right. So as a defenseman especially in your montreal. You know you're playing against a championship team. They also have a championship. Goaltender in that so you can't waste an opportunity everything that you have has to go to the net and if you're the montreal canadians don't be cute you don't need to be cutie gates tampa your cue you feed their offense you turn pucks over your feeding their offense. Keep the game simple. Get pucks to the net. I think that's how you can have success against aba. I think for montreal. They have players. That can do that. But you can't afford to turn the buckle brigades tampa bay the of too many weapons so bench shooting that ricochets off a couple of guys. But that's the way you're going to have to get goals sometimes in this league in this in this league especially in the playoffs against teams tampa. You talk about montreal. Not getting too fancy with it. Coming into the series. We talked a lot about their defense. They've been excellent defending the rush but in game on they gave up to tampa goals off the rush after allowing. Just one in the whole series against vegas look in the haves due to hold off the lightning offensive firepower that we saw in game one. I think that this is this. Has been the first huge challenge for montreal and this is a really good team. I think when you look back. Let's go back to the playoffs for a second. The first round. They had a team in toronto. That have the ability to score goals. Right very similar to tampa but throughout their lineup. Maybe didn't have the same depth experienced and winning pedigree that tampa has so montreal continue to stick to their plan being down three one in the series coming back when they get so much realize the character they winnipeg in the second round. They wash them. Four straight winnipeg. A little bit banged up. They lose shy fli. They're a little bit thin on defense so they walked through that series. You know not much adversity. There they get to the third round. They really only had a lot of adversity in the first round. The last two rounds for them. I haven't seen those teams really play at the level. That tab was playing that you know. Vegas definitely had the potential but just never got there so i think for montreal finally playing a team that has the same competitive nature as they do You know has winning. Pedigree has the skill talent goaltending defense coaching. So this is. This is the toughest challenge. And i think that for montreal. Maybe some of their youth. This is going to be learning for them. They're gonna get a ton of experience from this but we gotta see your daily cup finals. You try to win I think it's gonna be a tough series for them. I really do..

"Coors Light breakaway for non Stop Chill on Pat Boyle joined as always by Brian Hedley and Brian Well. This is what we're going to get from this season. I think from the black cars, couple steps forward. Maybe it One of the side couple backwards and you know, it's it's gonna be some uneven performances, and there's gonna be some bright spots, but it's been So far a little bit of a rough start here to start the season. How you doing? Well, I'm doing great. Non stop. Chill. That is you describes Pat Boyle. Um, right there on your business card. Yeah. Look, we were talking before the show. And you know, you said, Well, it's kind of what you expected. And, yes, It's kind of what you expected. But when you sit there and watch it And they're like you said. There's a few moments there were like, Hey, okay. Hey, Delia made some really good stops in the first period. I guess the only difference between his performance and Sudan's performance Wednesday to Friday we're Sudan's came in the beginning the game, right you're you're digging a hole and you're thinking, OK games all but over anyway, and deal is issues came within about six minutes in the second. Period, so And look also is 3 to 2. You thinking, all right? You got a little well great going here. And there's this margin of error. I mean, I've been through rebuilds before and baseball whatever it looks like, you know, who knows what What's going on? What the Bulls right now what's gonna look like? But This rebuild when you're actually sitting out of watching you gotta E mean you really have to kind of find your enjoyment where you can and It's Zapf. It's tough for some 10 minutes stretches there were going boy. This looks like more than two or three year issue and look the fact that Jeremy College and got two year extension the best move the Hawks made this week. Was extending him before they drop the puck for real Wednesday, right? Because if their own six how do you come out and say, by the way, this is the coach is going to keep developing these young guys so They got that business taken care of before we sat down and watched what's gonna be Iraqi like he said, a rocky ride. Rough ride for a while. Well, when they said goodbye to Corey Crawford decided to go with Sue Ban Delia and Lincoln. And you know that group collectively had 76 starts Lincoln and has yet to step in the crease in the NHL. We knew there were gonna be growing pains. In that this year, and we've seen that from Sudan and Delia's so far yet last night, Delia turned in a fantastic first period. Stop to break ways went postal post are robbing Yanni Gord and he looked like you. I'm like, all right, this this looks like a guy who's getting his first start since 2019. Was on opportunity to, you know, take this crease and run with it and then One problem that we talked about in the pregame show yesterday. Was how he handles the puck and sure enough after that great first period a couple minutes into the second, he makes a decision where he thought that Duncan Keith was going to play the puck behind the net. He didn't at that point, Delia needs to rim that puck hard out of harm's way. Instead, he turned it over. Then he compounded the problem when toe picks in the net and then plot scores. And then from there, Brian, everything changed. The complexion for the next six minutes was all Tampa and the ice was tilted the other way. You know it always when I was covering the Blackhawks. Living for seven years. Even Ed Belfour, who loved to handle the puck, right? I was there time. She was always said the blue line. I thought he was just gonna start the rush and go in the other direction. But It's like, Hey, just get between the pipes and just do that, But even last night, Okay, you're gonna you're gonna give it to your veteran defenseman right behind the net. You better make sure it gets there and then the face plant on your way back compound of your issues. Um, if you can't handle parking, Suban had his issues and you know, first I couldn't see the park alive times they kicked one in on his own. It's Z. I don't know if the goaltender of the future is here and you know Corey Crawford half hour after we ended our show the hockey show Last week, Corey announced his retirement and had taken a personal leave from the Devil's PB and We were both saying, Hey, we send each other. Don't be shocked If he's thinking about calling it quits visit didn't seem like his heart was in anywhere but the Blackhawks, right, all right. How come How come they couldn't find a way you know they are from a one year deal. Three million or so. His people's agent thinks all right. They'll come back and we'll get a couple of years or a little bit more money or both. And that was the offer right. So two weeks later stand Bowman's calling him and saying We're going with the young guys and we're starting to rebuild and need. Take a look at these guys. There seems like there was a way to do both. If the choice or the option for Cory was one year at three million on the on the Blackhawks terms and, oh, by the way, Cory The crease is going to go 45% of the time, too. There's Suban or Delia, and we would like you to help bring them along in the development progress process, or option two is You retired. I think Corey would have taken option one the one year deal, but it never got to that. They never circled back and had that conversation. Let's go back to Delia last night real quickly before we dive into court because there's a lot on packed there. Here's dealy on his up and down performance last night. Obviously, I think the end result. You know, isn't what I wanted personally, and I don't think It's not what we want as a team, but something to build on. You know, like you said, first, starting one time, so to go the grand solid thing. I did some good things, but I think you know there's some things that I definitely need to improve on. I think I was quite evident, but You know, moving forward Be ready next game. And you just wonder if he had played started that second period like he had in the first, and they didn't have that six minute span, where the Lightning score three times. If last night's game would have been a little different. I will say this I give Delia credit for rebounding because it looked Brian. It looked like things were going. They were gonna get off the rails in a hurry there and that this thing was going to be 67 nothing before you blanked. He made some fantastic saves. Shortly after the three gold barrage, and then the Hawks came back and made it a one goal game. So to me last night's loss, although the final score looks a lot like Wednesday night. It felt I thought much different. There was fight. There was a clear turning point in the game that you could say all right, that that's um that's a mistake of a green, unproven netminder. Who's got something he needs to certainly work on. But back to your point of Corey Crawford. I couldn't help but thinking if he's in net last night, that's probably a win and they're still Development going on the ice in other areas. Yeah, and look for her fans. It's more palatable to be able to hang your hat on having A Stanley Cup winning goal tender, even at the end of his career and net to keep you competitive.

Was hospitalized for going through this and you're in it when aneurysm full stop right there. Stop right, Very, very sad, Very sad. And then he had seven war. His home was the target of a burglary ring while he's in the hospital. This is so terrible. This just happened yesterday during a surveillance operation in Brentwood. Police spotted an SUV thought to be involved in the ring and apprehended for suspects. So Dr Dre isn't talking about this attempted burglary. But he did speak out about his health last night, saying, thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interests and well wishes. I'll be out of the hospital and back home soon Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love, You know Cedar Sinai. He's a very famous hospital in L A, where lots of celebrities go, but we all know the condition of hospitals in Los Angeles magnetic good because of covert 19. He is going through a bitter divorce battle with his estranged wife, Nicole. Young Nicole wants $2 million a month in spousal support. Holy bucket. They were married for a long time, and he's got a ton of money. Remember beats. Yeah, I sold them for a lot of money. Super beats. Oh, beats by Dre. Oh, beats by Dre. You got it. Beat supplement called super Be Not quite. But maybe that's a good thank you for He's 55 years old. Which makes you feel old. Yes, it doesn't look like we are. You know, so no guys, they find out you're in the hospital, then they burglarized. Unbelievable. Just shady, the lowest of the low. I know, although for criminal I mean That's what they do. They look for opportunities through it. Z kind of the price of being famous is that You know if someone knows where you are, just think about it. Like if if they know you're nominated for an Oscar, and you're going to be honest, Yes, they they know you're not. You know, you're not home. Exactly. Exactly. That's what we don't have to go through. I know you were talking about Kim and Kanye. That is the biggest story that's all over every entertainment website today that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West that their divorce is imminent, and that they had a big fight in December. Like. Is anybody actually shocked by this? No, I didn't. Everybody have a fight with their spouse in December. I'm sorry each anywhere Yeah. March March 2020 16 through today you didn't have one couldn't gradually, exactly like knock down, drag out. The smallest of things. Sure, like you forgot to take the meat out of the freezer girl. I know it's always the little things in our house. But then it's like how did this turn into such a huge? We're all a little on edge right now, and you've got a whole new little person in your home. So it's just there's just tensions are high. Tensions can be high. But Kanye blew up in Kim and she was really upset and things have not healed. Is that? Can we just talk really quick? I think we need to you guys. I mean, I know you can be rich and miserable. But, like, seriously, what could you possibly have to complain? Or argue about like, go to your other home? Go to your other wing. Go to your mother. Like why only your other states like I mean, I get it. I understand There's a real story here. But like Just for a moment. I want to be like, what are you bitching about? It's also though, like I mean, they have a seven year old of five year old, a two year old in the 19 month old. Okay, guys, I mean, it's really you're in the thick of it. They I'm sure have a lot of help. But it's just it's a sad It's sad. I mean, those kids are always going to remember. I don't know. Maybe they never saw their parents really living together in the first place. Thing, I think. Is that what we you know, because it's natural to go Those Children. The Children think of the Children, but they never have had a normal and I'm putting that loose quotes. We've never because none of us have a normal life, but they've never had They are so far removed from from our realities like the realities of the average person that like they don't even I don't even know they can't have. Ah, like a A normal childhood, much less a normal family life, much less healthy family. There's so many different layers. They're part of. It's because of their privilege, but also because of their position, and it's true and also because dysfunction is everywhere, so I imagine it's like Players. Lindsey Vonn is back on the market. She broke up with her hockey player guy. Okay, Sue Ban Du Bon must forget I should ask. J announce that guy's name before I said it on the radio. It's fine. We don't care. It's not like we was eating at the radio. Yes, we don't know the difference..

Pk Sue Ban of the New Jersey devils in his own words about what? It's life for someone so active to be on lockdown. Alice Number One and even though oh I missed the game and I miss my teammates. It's always a challenge to step or something that you don't traditionally do every day and try to excel at it. Who so many people out there. That are suffering. It's very very hard to think about hockey and season right now until those people lead on their feet. Health is the most important thing but one thing for sure sports rings. I believe the world together. It's definitely been an interesting giant interesting experience but I think we're all GonNa get better from that was. Pk Savannah the New Jersey devils tonight in his own words well as America. Ready to reopen. How will airline travel be affected by the new social distancing norms joining us? Now is one of the fathers of low budget airlines former. Spirit Airlines CEO. Ben Boden's Ben Welcome. It's good to talk to you tonight. Great to be with these guys. Thank you. We'll get to the future of air travel in a minute but your reaction first and foremost to this bailout package. That was unveiled just earlier tonight. Well it's obviously great. That airline employees can breathe a sigh of relief tonight and know that they're going to continue to be able to get paid at least through September as a result of this for the airlines. That take this. It is disappointing however that something called a grant comes with thirty percent loan that has to be repaid back and ten percent equity struck at prices after the industries lost billions of dollars in value. Though others would say the airlines didn't prepare. Accordingly for a rainy day they bought back too much stock. They asked for fifty billion dollars Ben and they bought back the five or six blocks airlines bought back around that same amount over the last ten year period. Why shouldn't they be accountable for that? Well they should be accountable for that but what they also did. That's one piece of what they did. With their cats they also invested hundreds of billions of dollars in new airplanes in better product in things. That have been good for customers so the airplanes flying today burn a lot less fuel. They're much more efficient. They're easier to maintain their more comfortable and so they've spent a lot of money on a lot of things. Some of that was a share buybacks. And yes they would've had more cash. They not done that. However had they hit that more cash up to that there would have been a lot of anti investors. Saying what are you holding? All this guy's for why isn't there a dividend or something to help us. Don't you think taxpayers should have a chance to have some of the upside here? I think they should. I think they absolutely should and one of the ways they there's a couple of ways they do that first of all in the second piece of this with loans. I think the idea of of interest of course but also warranted things. Make perfect sense in the grabs. It's all about airline employment. And so what consumers what taxpayers get out of that is that the airline industry is ready to go when consumers already to go again. Would you don't want to have happen? Is when we feel comfortable being social again that it's going to take months and months for the airlines to get ready because everyone's been laid off and they have to bring people back in train them so the airlines and the transportation network are fundamental to bringing the economy back. And that's the payback here. You know also the while the companies will be getting this money to pay their employees. They'll still be paying the payroll tax to the government as well to that time and the government is saving because all these people are not filing unemployment insurance. What is the new normal going to look like when we get back in the air and travel again? Well I think the new normal will be a couple of things. I think it'll be a a new view of biological safety to go with. Operational Safety Airlines have been good about operational safety and putting metrics to that measuring added becoming safe but now adding things like our surfaces clean are the plane's not just clean but are they disinfected to our employees understand how to deal with issues that come up from nervous customers or from issues also. I think the industry has to better job explaining to people how the air circulates in the airplane and re circulates and is filtered so well much better than in a restaurant or in an office building. So that when you're comfortable going to a restaurant should be comfortable getting on a plane again. Now whether or not people are the sit further apart that becomes a bigger issue like your last guest said because are we going to accept. That fares are going to go up if you can't put as many people on the airplane. That's a tougher call. We're not going to be able to put the same number of people on on an airplane again. How at least for a while? How how could we? How could we sit three across from from each other? Well sitting three across the risk in the way the plain air circulates isn't so much the person next to you does. It's what are you touching on the tray table. What are you touched on the seats? When you go to the restroom what are you touching on the handle? That's where the biggest risk of transference is in the airplane. Not someone next to you or in a row of behind you in front of you. Coughing or sneezing and I'm not saying that doesn't create risk but it doesn't great as much risk as the others and again with the circulation in the airplane. I think that it's not that bad on the airplane. Now if you want to say no one gets it in the middle seat anymore. That's going to take a third of the seats out of the airplane but the cost of play. I'm going to go down by a third so everybody's GonNa have to pay thirty three percent more plus the cost of our meal. If in fact Bennett's having you on I appreciate your time Tonight Ben. "Nhl Trade deadline was yesterday was Monday. And how the NHL got busy like. Oh my God. There's so many trades. I can't even cover all of them. I probably could have. I tried but I can't even cover the all them but I have four main ones that I am going to cover in this one more the more interesting ones but NHL went crazy. I mean this year's already been very weird for the NHL as like sixty percent of the coaches in the League have been fired so you have that and then then this trade deadline was just crazy man. So let's get into it. We're GONNA start off with the blackhawks trading goaltender. Robin linear lender lender to the Golden. The Vegas Golden Knights so they traded the Blackhawks are getting a second round. Pick and GOALTENDER MALCOLM SUE BAN and defenseman prospects lava demon so. Dan was a teammate of top hawks prospect in Mitchell at the University of Denver's that could be interesting. Cylinder came to the Blackhawks in the fall. He he signed from the islanders. He left the islanders signed with Chicago for a one year. Five million dollar contract. He was kind of surprise signing in the in July. He was a the Zina finalist with the islanders before he left for Chicago. This is actually kind of sad. Because he he. He said that he was he would sign a three year. Extension was Chicago. Who Take a pay cut to stay in Chicago? He said he he loved it in Chicago and he said he loved the guys young and old and he wanted to do everything and make it work The blackhawks just decided that it just wasn't a good fit or something like that I guess. But he's leader in goals saved per ingold saved above average. He's kind of had a weird stretch. So far he's been a little spill off lately but happens to goalies. It was brought his tenure in Chicago was brief. It was memorable. And yes the Blackhawks. Will these over to Crawford who outplayed lender over the past month posting point nine three nine save percentage compared to lenders point eight eight eight so it looks like it was just as the blackhawks found a goalie? That was better than him. He was only signed to one here anyways so they decided to move on so kind of a sad kind of a sad story there but that is a big one vegas gets vegas gets a new goalie to help out with flurry and Vegas is number. One there in the Pacific Division with serving six points and the Blackhawks are last in their division in the Central Division. Sixty two which that division still could not be up for grabs. But there you go. There's that trade ex up. We have islanders pagot. It costs them big. They got a first round. Pick and twenty twenty which moves the twenty twenty. One of the aisles ended up with a top three. Pick this June a second round. Pick in twenty and a third round pick in twenty twenty two if the aisles win the Stanley Cup. This spring they're fighting for either third place in the Metropolitan Division or one of the two wild card spots in the eastern conference. They're adding pop. Up Front was key to the Isles staying in the hunt ago. Twenty Sevens having a career with twenty four goals has earned praise for his two way game which should make him a good fit for the defense. I island irs so a lot of people. It's a steep price to pay for a rental. A lot of people have agreed. It's a lot of draft picks. So it's going to be interesting to see. The islanders can actually make the playoffs especially since they are kind of on the bubble at the moment for the playoffs. Currently the islanders our forth in the metropolitan they have seventy six. Points there behind the flyers. Seventy seven then. You have the paying the metropolitan by the way. It's just it's crazy. It's crazy every single team except for the New Jersey. Devils have seventy or more points now as you remember when I was talking about the Pacific Division the Golden Knights are leading with seventy six the capitals to you. GotTa Penguins with eighty flyers. Seventy seven islanders. Seventy six and then you have the hurricanes with seventy four blue jackets with seventy four rangers with seventy so that those spots are up for grabs. These playoff spots are up for grabs and the islanders are doing what they need to do. Senators of course got a huge hall for for Pagot. Senators are currently seventh in the Atlantic. Division they have no hope of making the playoffs. They're so good. Move for them. They got a bunch of draft picks is a bunch of draft capital and and got rid of ago and islanders. They gotta go but they gave up a whole lot. They are really banking on the playoffs. And maybe resigning him. He DIDN'T FIT. The senator rebuild ago was asking for five years at five million dollars. We'll see if the islanders are willing to pay that up and re signed him there. So Yeah so Florida the Florida Panthers traded off Vincent Truck Check to the hurricanes for Eric Khawla Lucas Walmart e to Lou Lou. Australian sure why not and Defenseman Chase. Persky it a lot to unpack here. Both Florida in Carolina grinding out and trying to nail down a playoff spot in the eastern conference Florida's fourth in the Atlantic Division with seventy points. They're behind the maple. Leaves the seventy two in the Tampa Bay lighting with eighty-five then the hurricanes as we mentioned there in that deadly Metropolitan Division but they are only. There are only three behind the flyers. Right now and yeah. So they're both vying for a playoff spot here in the eastern conference there are needed. Both teams are in need of these events help especially top-four defender they traded skilled. Ford's kind of just for fun. Whatever it's fine Florida adds to prospects along with everyday players. Lou Walmart Eric. Kala and visit check is looking to be a long term deal and the kind that a seller makes of course check definitely bolster the canes top. Nine has two more years left on his current deal. Meeting Carolina will be fine way beyond this year. So kinda surprising deal. Kinda surprising hurricanes will now hurricane get check? He's pretty good player. Panthers Kinda IFFY. Well why they did this. But they gained some prospects out of it. And so yeah. It's kind of even deal depending on who you talk to point. Pace project has been fifty seven fifty four seventy five fifty one fifty four one of those as an outlier having age twenty. Four of course a year when most Ford's peak and I think that's what most people still think traffic is So yeah he has a he has a point. Eight seven on I save percentage which is something. Something doesn't really have much control over but anyways next up close to Home Patrick Marlowe Batch. Merlo got traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins from the San Jose Sharks so the sharks. Kinda let him walk away a couple of years ago to go to the maple leafs and then he came back this during the season this year signed to a one year deal and now he's getting sent off to the Pittsburgh Penguins who hopefully when Stanley Cup. This man deserves one so bad he is Mr Shark. He deserves it. He deserves Stanley Cup at some point. So does Joe Thornton but it looks like they will not rate him as well. So He's a hockey fit makes sense he makes sense with the penguins. He's cheap lost a third round. Pick second round pick if the penguins win the Stanley Cup. Which of course if you win the Stanley Cup. They won't care what pick they gave up. So he'll spot duty crosby Malkin from time to time. He may even play on power play on occasion. He'll make the second power play better. Who make the bottom six better? He's no longer a great player but he's still solid. Most importantly can still really skate. There's really no downside in this for the penguins good deal. Yeah so good. Deal and Sidney crosby will not have to stress over who he's handing the cup the Stanley Cup to if they won these go straight directly to Patty Marleau so when we return. We'll talk about the Milwaukee Bucks and how historic this season. They're having is and how downplayed it is too when we return. Behind the hawk net teeth, strokes the puck around the left wing boards. Anisimov made a play for it at the hawk line was defended by sue ban. The puck deflects to the predator. Blue were echo, spins it back into the hawk in. Keith Terry's, the center ice hands it out the Gustis in front of the penalty. Choosing front of the benches just been it down the boards in behind the predator net. Spun around by ADT, not out of his own kept in by Keith. The line top left circle. He'll carry it through the high slot. Backhands it toward the net net sue ban from behind his net. Swats it around Arvidsson grabs the puck about fifteen feet inside the predator. Blue line. Rick wide pass to four Vert down the left wing into the hawk zone. Carries around to the nearest circle. Forsberg carrying through the high slot folks it into the left circle yell. See he sent it to the goal now off the stick of Joe Hansen. Johannesen got it back along the right boards. DLC left circle. Fires a shot this deflects up into the protective netting behind the hawk net. Hawks are hanging. In there. And in some ways, Colin DeLeon is keeping them in their seven twelve left in the third three two. All the principal oppressors when they have the opportunity, but they'll back off into the neutral zone and get into their structure when the Blackhawks up disaster. Gonna be a dogfight here for the Blackhawks to get pucks in behind. Get some pressure on the Nashville predators. Dig deep down time for the hawks predators. One of the better teams in the NHL defending when they get all their healthy defensive back equation, which. Deliver is out right now. But basically they have the top six in the lineup. Got some that's an excellent depth at that position. For sure. From behind the hawk net. Davidson spins it around off the left wing boards into the predators zone. Ellis. Pushes it across the blue line to center ice, hustling play by could you love to keep it inside the zone now Mendon Fiala took it away. And here's the center ice Davidson took the puck hawk line. Put it over Yogi Har you to Brandon Saad over the predator. Blue line. We get a whistle. And the hawks are offsides. Six forty eight now left in the third three two in favor of Nashville. While the predators. They're not gonna take any chances UT race air Brandon Saad. David camp just didn't get the fucking deep enough output. Putting the pressure on Nashville that you wanna do. They will flood the side they'll keep the pressure and also trying to do is chip adapt out into the neutral zone. So they can regain their structures. Now, the draw one by the Hawk's Davidson, rip it down the left wing glass in behind the net Rene stopped next to the glass, but deflected the puck into the far corner. Benigno got the puck up the left ports. Chips into the hawk line. Davidson sends a pouncing puck to center ice to yoki Har. You took a home in front of the benches. "Excuse me, they bought Minnesota a goal on Zach Parisi. But then of course the line that working so well for this avalanche team gets it done Landis Gog ranson and McKinnon. All contribute. McKinnon gets a goal ranted and gets a goal land. Scott gets an assist in the game. So the avalanche starting to show that they are a team with healthy goaltending and Varlamov didn't face a ton of shots. Just Twenty-one, made twenty saves to get the victory four to one keep an eye on Minnesota. Again, we Mnuchin general manager, Bruce Boudreau might be fighting for his job. I think it's important for Minnesota get off to a good start didn't last night as Colorado roles, and this was a little bit of a surprise how Philadelphia beating up on the Vegas Golden, Knights five. Five to two. This thing got away from Vegas real quick. Marsha show gets the goal early in the first period to big a one. Nothing, right. Everything's great. And then it was just all Philadelphia, five unanswered goals. Lindblom who we got a chance to see last year Simmons with his contract. Obviously, trying to make a statement with a couple of goals, Hague, Loudon. And next thing you know, bang, we're barely into the second period. It's five one Belmar gets unassisted goal. Midway through the third period cosmetically to make it five two. So keep an eye on Vegas as well. Will they be able to maintain what they did last year and Philadelphia. Another one those teams that's kinda easy to forget right, Pittsburgh because they won back to back championships two years ago. Obviously, the defending Stanley Cup champions of the Washington Capitals. Many people myself included very high on Columbus. It's easy to forget. The Philadelphia can be a player. They're starting on the Western Conference. They get the huge win against Vegas if they can get the goaltending. And if they can get Simmons to play at the level that he played last night, there's every reason to believe the Philadelphia can be a legitimate contender in metropolitan division. So as I said before, the NHL didn't give him any favors getting start out west, but maybe that could be something that can galvanize this team and they go up and beat up the defending Western Conference champions, the Vegas Golden Knights by the final score of five to two flurry got pulled in this one excuse me. Sube ban comes in tobacco up. Sue ban had not played in a game going back to last April. Hadn't started a game since last March. So listening to that game when I was driving home from the ranger game, they were talking about how they were desperate to try to get consumed some time. Well, he certainly got the time and played well did not allow goal the rest of the way. So remember all the problems they had in golden Vegas last year. Well, Malcolm sue ban did a decent job filling in for flurry after he had gotten pulled. All right. Let's close out the week with your tweets. You can get in touch with me. He always at down the Greco hashtag game has conduct, and let's start with Courtney our friend and she says, hi, Don loved how the Rangers bounced back last night and didn't roll over and play dead. After the two predators goals, I'd call it a win even though they didn't get two points. So glad to see VC having a monster game. He was the number one star to me. I should add Hank looked at the top form last night and even played the puck. Well, so VC's my number one star besides Hank because Hank was at the other worldly level. Again, last night caveat to what you said Courtney, I didn't like the SU ban goal and we should've mentioned. Now we recap in it that ended up being a backbreaker the to one lead four Nashville. In the third period. Early upon further review, he had a clean lane. It was not deflected. He was not screened. That was a goal he'd like to have back. So you're right..

"It's the reason why we watch. It's the reason why that every night of hockey is that much fun. It's the reason why the hockey playoffs are arguably the best thing in sports outside of March madness. Think about it. You have the Pittsburgh Penguins hungry to get revenge and get back to the title that they couldn't successfully defend a third time. The San Jose, Sharks, gratefully, upgraded their team, adding Eric Carlson on the blue line. The Boston Bruins still have an absolutely insane core, and I hate the Bruins, but they are so talented upfront with their forwards. It's it's crazy, the Dallas Stars re up Tyler Sagan. They're still so potent on offense. The Nashville predators two years ago, they were the runners up for the Stanley Cup. They want it back PK. Sue ban is going to lead them back to being a very, very, very tough team to beat the presidents trophy winner. Last year, the Toronto Maple Leafs added Gionta virus. I'm still shaky on the Leafs, but they can certainly certainly go at it. The Winnipeg Jets who lost in the Western Conference finals. They didn't get any worse. And Patrick line is another year of exp has another year of experience in the NHL and then last but not least the team that just lost out with sixty minutes away from going to the Cup final, the Tampa Bay Lightning. They are still just as good and believe me. They don't forget that lost to the Washington Capitals. Okay. First of all, I just thought of an incredibly fun game that would be hockey player or avoid her because PK sue ban sounds like the name of an MA fighter apropos of nothing. So look, the capital's Dmitri Orlov back and he looks to be over the. Decisions in the defensive zone. This plagued him in his early years. Andre Baraka Brodsky is back and he's ready to take a step up potentially becoming a star in this league Matin Iskin back still the glue that holds his team together of Guinea of nets off. He's back. He brings the firepower to the center position TJ Ochej back bringing goalscoring and leadership veg, gin back. One of the league's best scores, nNcholas Backstrom is back. "Avai rigo slavi so swampy what you're saying is is you can prepare all your all you want but when how do you handle the bench will that in what if it doesn't go according to the way you've been planning it for the last two days and now you're flusher because you're like you haven't you haven't thought about it now i think we've covered enough coaches and and goalies i wanna move onto the d and i mean i guess we'll start with pk sue ban he had a hell of a series i think you had four goals in that series wit here's a beast he's one of those guys it's you know the bigger the game the better place no no one defense on nashville stands out to me is as really struggling i mean you watch the games and i think that they probably could at moments hope for a little more offense from guys but if you're nashville right now you look at say david poile in a week when the disappointment engineer maybe tomorrow you look at like how your roster went how you built your roster how the playoffs went and you look at your d is there one d that you're like he sucked during this playoffs no there really isn't especially that series those both those teams played good i mean you look at you know there was a lot of goals scored i'm sure there was some defensive breakdowns along the way but both decoys brought it if you're going to look to the mvp on the d end it dustin buffalo on a guy who just made an impact that was harder describe it starts at the physical play it goes along with the canon of a shoddy has he has a presence out there late in late in the third period tonight key ran someone at the blue line just misdemeanor almost knocked his head off and just shows that he's got all the aspects you need right now he's.
