"Place now than he was last year at this time. And I know he's coming off a big injury, but it's because he's healthier this year. Even though last year was a little injury with a hairline fracture on the pinky, but it healed the wrong way. And this year, it's a bad break on the ankle, but it healed right like most of them do. And now I just see him in such a better place. And now we'll present him some football and stuff, and we get to OTAs, we're allowed the minimum. And we'll put players out there and we'll see how he's playing, let them in Sam roll. And then we'll evaluate all of that. And we'll take 40 days off. We'll see how we want to lay it out in training camp. Let him and Sam roll, I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. It's so damn unique about the San Francisco forty-niners. When you draft a kid, third overall, by trading up two first round picks in future drafts to go get them. And he hardly plays for you. That normally means coach and general manager are history. But instead, what do they do? They made two straight NFC championship games without them. Crazy. And normally, that team that makes two straight NFC championship game appearances will absolutely have the quarterback who took them there as their quarterback coming into the following season to see if they can make a third straight NFC championship game in heaven forbid the Super Bowl, especially if the guy who took them to their previous Super Bowl was the quarterback who took him to one of the NFT championship games and played so damn well that they were positioned to make it with a kid they chose in the last pick in the draft that they were forced to turn to. It's sort of this GM because this team is so incredibly talented that well they drafted a kicker in the third round and tons of people batted an eyelash in the way I was pushing back as well. I'm in a mood because it happens every year and I should expect it when we're asked to keep it quiet when we get the schedule in advance on NFL network so we could plan a terrific show for you at 80s and time. My hopes of better angels, you know, the better angels and what that means. Because we're trying to do the right thing. I didn't upset some of the other people. I do it. And then this was the first time I was asked to sign a document. That's ludicrous. And I would say they're looking for red October in the wrong place. You know what I mean? What windhorst talked about at the top of his part of our conversation? Anthony Davis is being checked out. One would believe today and even if he is not yet in the concussion protocol, he could be by tonight because symptoms sometimes take a while to materialize and also part of the testing he was explaining. Look, the NFL concussion protocol, everyone pays attention to that. Everybody talks about it because they're assuming the NFL is not doing the right thing. Let's be straight up and honest. About it. And I tell you, I know multiple people and the NFL offices in New York city who wring their hands over a player suffering a concussion and putting together the proper protocols to make sure that they are not only safe but kept off the field when they need to be and I understand a lot of people do not believe that to be the case, but trust me it is. And I'm assuming that there is a bunch of similar people in the NBA. You remember draymond hit his head on the court in game four. Smack off the court. I mean, really bad. Honestly, I thought, my gosh, and he came back in and I was really surprised he didn't take him out to check him for that. I think they did take him out for a brief bit. I don't know, I don't know. He came back in, he was shot here to shoot free throws, I think. But you could literally the Mike's cut like I saw that. I saw that. And Anthony Davis, Chris Haynes said, was in a wheelchair with a towel over and said, now that sounds like a concussion. Yeah. As he was being taken out of the arena or back to the locker room. And then after the game he said, after the game, after the game, he was said that it was said that he was feeling better or feeling okay and he's not in the concussion protocol. And when horse made mention of the fact of the inside, the NBA, as you know, they have had issues with Anthony Davis's availability. A lot of fun. Street clothes was the name. One of the best nicknames I've ever heard Charles Barkley deliver on somebody. But this is a different ball of wax when you're talking about the head. And as windhorst said, everything's out of his hands. He could be walking around saying I'm playing. Friday night, and then he takes a test in the bass line, says, no, you're not. The baseline of the testing from the earlier part of the season. So the NBA now has a concussion protocol conversation happening right now. And we'll find out because what a difference maker when he is playing the way that he has been playing over the last two weeks with LeBron and with, by the way, Schroeder has been playing his head off. He's been playing much better than D'angelo Russell. Much better. Rui hachimura has been terrific off the bench Austin Reeves, man. It's been awesome.

That is hall pass, hall pass, very funny movie, laughed a lot in theaters about 14, 15 years ago, whenever that movie came out, very funny. Number two. So they just plays Kurt buckman, an account manager at a company who answers to a drug addicted Colin Farrell's character Bobby pellet, horrible bosses, horrible bosses, and the sequel, both pretty good. Number three, Eric is a 30 something perpetual adolescent who lives to party, holding these lavish theme events with his friends using his father's large house in the Hamptons, a good old fashioned orgy is the name of this movie, a good old fashioned orgy, sort of a stretch for a plot, but I'm sure somebody, I'm sure some group of Friends has done this at some point. But I remember liking the movie watching it on I want to say DVD when it came out. Number four, sudeikis plays an avian creature named rad in this phone app game to movie, angry birds, angry birds. Think that came out before my kids were watching movies and I think I missed that one. Number 5, Zach galifianakis, Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis star in this comedy robbery caper about a true story, masterminds. Not the best movie, but definitely worth watching some very funny parts and I actually got hit up by the marketing team for this movie when I was hosting trivia in LA at the time, maybe 2014 or 15, whenever that came out. And they gave me a bunch of free stuff to give away to promote the movie. We had posters. We had koozies. We had like lanyards and all kinds of stuff. So I remember that, that month, I always giving out masterminds prizes, which was cool. I also got to do that for office Christmas party and a few other movies. Number 6, Paul's childhood friend, Dave Johnson, convinces him to shrink for easier living. That's downsizing. Downsizing. Number 7 released in 2016 with an ensemble cast. This one's named after a holiday. Mother's Day. Mother's Day. Number 8, the story of runner Jesse Owens with sudeikis playing his coach Larry Snyder, race is the movie race. And Jason Sudeikis told a story about the filming of this movie during the Q&A at the panel in LA that I was hosting trivia before. The one I can't stop talking about. And I had never heard of it. I didn't know he was in this movie, and I looked it up for this and it looks very good. So I gotta watch that too. Number 9, Dave devise is a foolproof plan. He packs his 18 year old socially awkward next door neighbor in 19 year old runaway and a stripper from upstairs in an RV and head south of the border were the millers. A great movie with Jennifer Aniston. Number ten, Jason snake is plays Nacho fan, one of the few tropics season ticket holders, semi pro. Semi pro with Will Ferrell and Woody Harrelson. And number 11, along with Gloria's reptilian monster, Oscar also manifested in Seoul, but as a giant robot, that's called colossal with Anne Hathaway and sort of an emotional play on a Godzilla type movie, which I have never seen. I've seen about half of these movies. I got to see that and I love the premise when I came out. I just somehow never saw it. But there you go, Jason Sudeikis movies, thanks for playing along today. "Yeah, that's the new series that's out this the third season that's out this week. Came out on Wednesday, usually those come out on Friday. So you might have missed that. There will be new episodes every week for the next 12 weeks. And this is the possible final season. It's been really tough to figure out from the writers and the actors who I talked to. A lot of them, including Jason Sudeikis, the co creator and the star. Who said, they had a three season arc in mind for the characters. And that's coming to a conclusion here. But apple's not marketing this as the final season of Ted Lasso. So I have to think that there's going to be more because nobody has said officially, yeah, we're done after three seasons. I think it will continue. It might look a little different. I'm not sure, but so far, it's back and it's just as good as ever. And we have something new from Bob Odenkirk. This star is Bob Odenkirk as the chair of an English department at a quote unquote mediocre college. And they're trying to figure out exactly. Life isn't going the way he wants. Let's just say, and he's kind of having a midlife crisis. Things are starting to crumble around him. And you kind of see him break down as he goes through this. It's a different character for Bob Odenkirk. He has a beard. So he doesn't necessarily look like Saul Goodman and doesn't really act like him either. What about the movie treatment for the Boston strangler story? Yeah, that's out on Hulu today. This is really about the journalists who looked into the case, played by Keira Knightley and Carrie coon here. And alongside the police as well. Everybody trying to figure out exactly what was going on in Boston in the 60s when all these women were being killed in their apartments. And this kind of tracks the police just couldn't figure out for a long time. And these journalists really kind of got in there and broke the case wide open. If you're a true crime fan, I think this is going to be for you. Lots of twists and turns here in the story. I mean, I think we've all heard of the Boston strangler, but I don't think everybody really knows the story behind it. And again, we do want to spend some time in a theater. You might have some company if you're going to see Shazam fury of the gods. It's going to top the box office this weekend, but I don't I'm not anticipating a huge weekend. There's maybe somewhere in the $35 million range, maybe a little bit more, which is fine, but nothing, the superhero movies. They like to open to a 100 million or more. The premise for Ted Lasso came from a commercial for NBC's soccer coverage, featuring a former American football coach. In London. I mean, that's nuts. Sudeikis says he didn't know where this was headed. You never know what you're going to get to do three seasons. If anything, it was probably maybe presumptuous if not downright arrogant of us to think that if we got to do three. Ted Lasso has been a hit and star Cola bikini says the reason is in part timing. It premiered during the pandemic. It was a really, really tough time. And it was kind of like, you know, a warm blanket, you know, when you're heating out. I mean, when I think of her, she's very classy. She's strong. She's, I mean, she's a director. She's an actress. This is an evolved woman to me. And it's always sensitive when somebody is private from the get go. This took me as a private person, no matter what. So I think this is hard for her. And you know what? I'm a classy girl too. Okay. All right. You know what? I'm 95% classy, 5% ratchet. And you can if you tickle that if you trickle that ratchet hard enough. If you scratch it, honey, you gonna sniff it too. Okay? So what do you say? Now she's breaking her silence because I'm ratchet. I mean, we are saying everybody has their limits. Right. Everybody, the Queen Elizabeth has her limit. True. So a lot of people try to, you know, preface it with, oh, she's a whole. She's a that. No. I think she's what dating is grown. Merry Christmas. Yeah. This is what you see. You see a red flag, you don't like it, it doesn't feel good. You go find somebody that makes you feel better. You don't just sit there and say, well, let me just compromise for a little bit. And we'll figure this out together. Let's have peace talk. Because people couldn't believe because it was Michael B. Jordan. That she would break up with him. It's like, honey, she surprised too. Yeah. And that's what I always tell women. Date, when we say date, it's like, if you're not feeling something, move on to the next, she knows her worth. I think that is such a great message for all people men and women. We're looking for partners. And you see each other a lot of grief. And that's when I was like, well, why am I accepting this? Should all people be asking themselves this question? Would my daughters marry this man? First of all, I got daughter, so but neither. Me neither. We are the daughters here. We're all. We are. But you have children. That's the first question I think you should ask yourself when you're going into the relationship. Like, would I feel comfortable having children with this person? Would they, if this was my daughter, could you imagine them marrying a human like this? And if it's a no, you gotta listen to that intuition. That's the first thing I ask myself. Yeah. You know? Like, I just wouldn't, I don't know. I can't see how people can just be like, yeah, you know, let's just look past this for a while. And then all of a sudden those feelings boil up and it comes back, you know, those secret messages are hiding. It comes back. Yes, I should have listened to that right away. Definitely. Kids, really. No, but kids are important. And if you put if the kids weren't in this situation, do you think she would have stayed with him? No. I don't think so. Yeah. I think he was at a certain point. Oh, they're so cute. I think they were at a certain point in their relationship where, you know, he's going through his own things. And when you're dealing with someone that's going through the things that he was, you know, allegedly going through and we all kind of publicly saw it. You have to choose yourself. It goes back to that Lori Harvey thing. Am I going to choose myself? Am I going to try to help my partner? Yes, I'm going to try to help him as much as I can. But if he's not wanting help or if he's, you know, a certain point, you have to ask yourself, what am I doing? And am I going to choose myself first? But listen, when you're a mom, you feel guilty about a lot of things. And I bet that ate at her for a while before she did it. And when she announced that she was splitting so hard. And so she said she didn't want to, you know, split up the family because you know, in America, we have this world if this is your father, you got to stay with them. You got to be with them. You know, I'm protect him and everything, but it's like if he's not changing, what do you do? Right. You got to choose. She still feels guilty. You can tell. Yeah. But we're saying it's okay. I mean, I can't imagine what it's like to be a parent because I saw my dog this morning and I looked at him and I said straight to his face, you have a thick neck.

I think this should go to Don lemon because. Wow. Was on stage at CinemaCon, talking about her new movie when she was served with legal papers from her ex-husband, Jason Sudeikis. Now Olivia played it cool. I couldn't. She opened the envelope real cute, then went right back to her presentation. A source tells E. News, the papers were about custody of Olivia and Jason's kids. But get this. Apparently, allegedly, Jason Sudeikis didn't know when and where the papers were gonna be delivered. Are you okay, Justin? I'm short circuiting. 'cause that's the biggest crock of I've heard. Well, they needed to get credentials, so like a studio had to get them credentials for this event. It's a private trade event for CinemaCon. Buy a ticket. So who bought the ticket, you know? But this is my thing. Celebrities do this whole where gray cold parents, we're doing great, blah blah blah. If that was the case, then you probably would see your ex partner at handoffs. You would know where they would go pick up the kids from school from belly class or what Kroger as they go to at what time. The fact that this was this public on the stage where she directed her now new boyfriend in a movie in one of the biggest moves in her career, if you did that at that moment, this is vengeance. Oh, this is the most punitive thing ever. First of all, I think they weren't married. They were married. They were just partners. And this was the custody arrangement. And for their kids. Granted, my understanding legally is that they have to be served. So you have to know very busy schedule. I'm sure. But did they have to be served in the middle of the presentation? I think not. I think one could wait till she was, you know, deplaning the stage. Walking away. Why then? That was on purpose. That's a big deal. That was a punitive. Yeah, I didn't like that. I mean, come. But is that, listen, though, is that Jason's fault? Or is that his fault? Look. If I'm Jason Sudeikis, and I'm the big star, and I'm paying a lot of money to these lawyers, you're going to tell me where and when you are thinking about serving. You do. Because they do. This is not just about the papers. This is about reputations. This is about the message you're sending. There's more involved. There's more. It makes you wonder if all the stories that we've been talking about with Harry Styles, oh, he's awesome. He killed it with lizzo. He killed it with Shania Twain. He's been getting a lot of press for being there and being awesome. And then Olivia Wilde was there supporting him. It makes you wonder if it just got this ire up of like, you know, I don't know. But we, you know you have this nice narrative that would make for a great lifetime movie that, like Jason Sudeikis just couldn't deal with the reality that she was done with him and is like I hope she comes back. She's going to realize what she missed. Meanwhile, Olivia Wilde like BLEEP, Have you seen Harry Styles? Hi. Um, However, it's a publication ship, which means that everything we hear is not necessarily what we see meaning what What's really going on behind the scenes might not actually be reflected in the tabloids were reading because nothing is real, and everyone smokes into that. And I wonder. I wonder if this is like laying a predicated or some sort of foundation for By that I mean that the story that Jason Sudeikis hopes that she'll come back to him is laying the groundwork. Harness besmirched by this narrative, So they've got people out there populating the tabloids with a narrative that makes Harry styles look like he's Prince Charming and just I mean, the man he doesn't. He's just trying to have some love in flowing garments to double down on this. You also tell like, Remember the, um The population that he is it that attracts His younger people who love the Harry styles, right who get in on this gossip, And if he looks like the kind of guy who busted up a marriage, that's the the The young ones will go crazy about that, and they don't know. Because gossip is not safe in their hands. They don't know that it's all fake. Yeah, well right or or even if they have suspicions like because nobody's ever, you know really made them think that critically about me because who does really about pop culture? Imagine if you were like a member of the cast of twilight or something like the Vampire Diaries on then, five years later, you're struggling to Ah, After this, you show comes to an end. You're struggling to Ah! But in, uh there's a pair of bloody is the comedy A pair of buddies that used to be on a vampire show. Now they're, uh, nearing 30 and they're trying to figure out well, what do we do now? So this is a reality. Show them because that happened. Yeah, You think it was, but no, it's it's a comedy and on the on the less Funny Cide. New series premiering that ABC started Cure Sedgwick, who I expected Better of as called Call Your Mother, the last track sitcom. About Um um, empty Nester Mom, played by Kira Sedgwick, and basically she's bored, So she's getting up in her family's business. And of course, they're not into it. I'm just not sure why you expect I'm not sure why you expected better of Kira Sedgwick betters. You've always had a problem with Kira Sedgwick. She looks like one of those apple face dolls, you know? We don't really know the premise because well, when I would encourage you to do, Gina is get your Disney plus going and go to the Marvel section there and watch Marvel legends. Wanda and vision, and there's just clips from the movies that remind you of these two story that'll help set it out. Now you remember at the end of vision is dead on and Wanda did come back, but The premise is essentially We don't know what reality is, and Wanda and vision are in Sitcoms. Trapped in the TV. Is this like we don't know trappings of this. Yeah, We don't know if they're trapped, or if it's by choice that one, the kind of checked out and his imagining all of this. We don't know, And it's a comedy right, And it's a con. It's got comedy elements to it. The first three episodes were made available to some Well placed critics geeks who would speak nicely about it, and everybody is saying that it's it's different and strange, but in a good way. You would not have to really know anything about this much I would say, Go watch those two marvel legends, things They're like, eight minutes long on that will help you refresh yourself on those two characters because a lot of the character development came out of the Avengers movie that most people didn't like. "You're doing to amazing movies. Yeah. I feel very lucky. Yeah. Really cool. All right. So we're going to talk about us in a minute 'cause the audience saw it last night. Yeah. So in happy belated birthday when was your birthday March first? Okay. And so what did you do? Well, I had a laser tag birthday party. Oh, yeah. In brooklyn. Let's say for then painful because you're yeah. Yeah. It does hurt yet. So I got about thirty of my friends together. And we went and played laser tag. I learned a lot about my friends. You know, I learned who I want in a time of war high side. Sounds fun. But yeah, it was a lot of when I heard you did something interesting last year. What did you do? I went on a ten day meditation retreat, a what wear. Yeah, it was outside of Dallas. It's a passionate retreat. I don't know where it was. It was like farmland you go there. And you know, you sign away your electronics, and and you promise to stay the ten days. And and it was the hardest thing I have done really. So from us, but you do you speak or you don't know is complete silence for ten days. You're allowed to ask questions at specific times of day. But it's you're not allowed to make eye contact with the other people on the retreat because the idea is for you to have a solitary experience and really just face your own demon. So all that silence note. No electronics, no music. No TV nothing. Just you and your thoughts. And boy did learn a lot about my mom. Yeah. That's amazing. Yes. Silence. Is a really pow. Powerful thing. I believe in that. So you how many people were there? I want to say we must have been about seventy. I mean, you can't really count 'cause you can't look at you can't get down three people over there. Seventy people writing. Okay. Yeah. That's really cool. And at the end did you like did you get to look at people? And then kinda learn about them or well, it was funny right before we started before us the silence is official. Some woman came up to me. And she was like are you the beat the long run? All this way to get away from right? And then afterwards, she came up to me and said, you know, I'm so sorry. I realized after this ten days that that was the one thing you were probably escaping from. And I appreciate it yet. He was probably the whole ten days going got him an idiot. Why did I do that the whole time? This choir self, oh today me. But I'm going to go up towards the end, and I'm gonna all she had going. All right. So let's talk about us. It looks so good. So tell me and everybody that hasn't seen it when it's about well, it's a nightmare from Jordan peels mind, and it is about Adelaide Wilson a woman who is riddled with this trauma from childhood that she cannot explain and she's on vacation with her family and their summer home in Santa Cruz, and she's convinced something bad is going to happen. And she's proven, right? When these four shadowy figures show up at the top of their driveway and their worst nightmare and sues and you play you play two different characters. Yeah. Very very different characters that must've been fun. It was incredible. I mean, it was hard work. Yes. Who it was hard work? And you know, 'cause they're very different. They are diametrically opposed to each other. But they are also connected. So I had to go to some dark places within myself to to find the d'appel ganger read of do a crazy voice. That was a lot of fun to create. Nate and. Yeah, I I enjoy the experience I spent a lot of time between take sleeping just trying to catch up with myself. Yeah. Because when you have a day off, the other character doesn't exactly. Yeah. Yeah. And you never meet your scene partner. Yeah. Which is a challenge from its own. Yeah. That's really difficult.
