"Of people you we have a chat going on and just talk to people about the weird press images that are out there and there are some fantastic ones. If you're interested in that let's now. I'd be curious. It's something we've kicked around but were not sure whether there's an audience for so let us know. Let us know him that podcast or motor one dot com especially from the sixties and seventies. I think those are some of the weirdest of all just like just like really bizarre random stuff about like a car parked in a field next to an airplane. Where the sitting there having a little drink of champagne with kids in the background and like artillery in the distant bad. Just weird stuff. It could be a lot of fun. It could be a lot of fun bruce. Wait wait wait wait no you start to it. I think you're you're going to pull up while you're pulling that up. I'll tell people if you want to. Catch either bruce me. We're on social media. You can follow me on twitter at c. H. writing c. h. w. rit. I n g bruce your. What's your twitter handle. chris. Bruce nine thousand nine hundred eighty five. See that makes sense because that's your name. Yeah and then my birthday. So mine mine is. I have to explain to everybody but yeah k- catch us on twitter. We post occasionally but when we went out of the type of people that like hey i look what i'm having for dinner. I mean we post we post good stuff. We follow us. You mentioned just car weirdly in a field and we were talking subaru's at that. This is the subaru specifically turbo model. It's i assume the sun showing it to his dad. But they're on a farm and they're both dressed in well. The dads dressed in overalls. The sun seems to be doing. The canadian tuxedo of denim jeans. Denim shirt and. I don't know why i love this image. It's just like i just imagined somewhere in the american heartland in nineteen eighty. Why would this be four. Nine hundred eighty four and nineteen eighty six of showing up on a farm with subaru x t turbo in your dad dislike. It looks fun. What the hell it looks. I mean it's a cool image but it's just like what are those fish out of water things. Yeah i i can tell you right now. Dad drives probably a nineteen seventy-eight dodge ram probably a three quarter ton and and if he's still alive today he still has it that. That's the thing that's what that picture. That's what i get out of the picture he drives. He drives a ram. Nothing wrong with that. I built and he's and he's looking at his son who probably just came back from some. Ib league school somewhere out. Nobody's got the denim jeans denim shirt. He did not come from an ivy league school if he had he had to put those on before he arrived back home because he doesn't want his dad to know what he actually does for a living. All right. i'm sorry just to show people what you would get if we did this. Press image show. I need to share my favorite press image ever because it looks like a prog rock album cover. Yes love it so much. This is an image of the matra's sim ka rancho. There are so to describe people that are looking at. It is a very weird looking european. Suv of the late nineteen seventies slash eighty s. It's green. it's got big headlights. But the weird thing about it is. There's a guy with like giant hair and a mustache. You kind of looks like prince. If prince was tall holding a double barrel shotgun lead in that image he cut a essentially said prog rock. He kind of looks like maybe early seventies version of nick mason. Yeah sure sure yeah. And then there's like this very model looking guy on the left also with a gun and then there's a lady who kinda reminds me of our her name's escaping me the actress from Annie hall who's wearing a tweed jacket. And who has for whatever reason she has. Her pants rolled up to the height of her boots. I i don't know why she didn't neither tuck them into the boots or put them over the boots but that's the style of the buddha. It was the style. Yeah it this is just one of which is ever. So more importantly bruce out are they looking at their quarterly reading. We're looking in different directions. They are clearly looking at something. The hatches open. The the passenger door is open. We have nick mason or prince standing there with the gun We have the the other guy's got a gun always went away. I got nothing. See we have to know what they're looking at. We have to spin that around but no look at them. They're all either looking up. The guys looking down and guy on the left is looking off camera somewhere so no one is looking at the same thing. The dog is the only thing looking at the camera. I think this is some kind of special forces group. And they're all trying to spot snipers before they before they head into this club to to get some bootlegged. I'm never had this weekend. This is a preview. The preview of the live show could be like. Yeah so if this little bit of vamping is what you'd like. Let us know. 'cause i could seriously. I could do this for an hour. A lot of press photos i like. There's that one of the corvair with the plane that you not like there's so many So yeah but everyone. Thanks for listening to us. Thanks for dealing with me ranting about volkswagon and then it wasn't just you. It was it was you and it was me. It was the entire automotive community and judging by the comments we see on volkswagen social media accounts. It's a lot. It's a lot of volkswagen fans to be a good example of what not to do for april fools. Yeah exactly so. I hope everyone has a very good week as usual. Good afternoon. good evening or good night. Depending on when you're listening to this show we always appreciate you and as always podcasts. At motor one dot com. If you wanna send us angry emails..

"There is a rumor going around that. Lexus is developing a halo vehicle. That is a body on frame. Suv which sounds really weird. It it would be low production high cost you know halo for them and the one other thing that has kind of come up is that could subaru somehow. Be helping with that vehicle. See i know the rumor. I would totally believe it for toyota. I cannot see subaru offering some sort of high end very expensive suv. I'd just can't that. Collaboration just makes no sense to me at all. You know you're right. It's it's fun to speculate though and that's kind of where we are now. We're in the fun speculation mood because we have less than a week certainly as a recording right now and by the time this goes up even less than that before it will actually know whatever it is that they're talking about but you know it that's kind of what the segment was about. We're just having fun. Yeah after after a little bit of venting on volkswagen. It's time to have a little bit of fun. Honestly i was having fun with the spx we could go back and talk about the vx. I don't know why that car fascinates me so much. But no i take that back i do know why it fascinates me so much. It was a flat. Six windows introduced subaru's flat six. Yeah it was. It was a flat six with windows. That dick go down all the way with weird styling with all wheel drive you could also get him front wheel drive to if i remember correctly but that was like the cheap version that was that was the cheap version and i wanna see these things like thirty grand plus when they were new brand new front wheel drive model but that was a cheaper version to sell to people. They weren't selling normally and twenty five years ago. Thirty thousand dollars was quite a bit for a car. Actually serious money for his subaru. Which in the us at that point people still associated with you. Know little small runabouts. So i guess that's why it fascinates me. I've never pulled the trigger. Just because i've never found woman. I felt comfortable with the tree. Had on saban's but yeah. The transmission has famously. Made a glass. As i understand that there are people that can swap in manuals but yet they only came with an automatic at least in the us. I don't know about in japan whether you could ever get a manual. But now i don't. I don't think it was ever officially offered with a manual subaru. People let us know could be knowing the us you could never get. Here's here's another. Here's another plea for for i want to hear your spx story straight up. Every time i've looked at an sgx that was for sale. It always had some like weird kind of story. I bought this to go with another one. And i was gonna swap this part from here. It's like it's. It's almost like the corvair of japanese cars. Nobody has one s. Vx you either. Have you either have none or your you have two or maybe three but nobody has just one. And there's always every time i've looked at when there's always been an interesting story behind it so i'll look that cut away is that is that a kimball. Was that a combined. Kind of looks like it. Kind of looks like kimball. We should do an episode. All on kimball cut aways i was. I did that series for a little while. Actually a kind of how. I got started at motor one. David kimble's david. Kimble is probably the greatest automotive cut-away artist of all time. He's been doing it for decades. I had a chance to talk with him couple of years ago. I mean he's still. Does it old school with like line. Drawings and paints and air brushes and. He's still doing it today. and the detail in his co. as are. Just fantastic. And i actually. I have one of his books. I'm gonna. I'm gonna look in that book after we're done recording to see if it's in there i want to take a good look at that one last. Spx picture and then we'll kind of wrap things up that would that would be in case in case people haven't figured out this this. I would love this to be a collaboration with toyota and subaru to bring back a new x coupe What would be a sporty toyota coup that they could call it. I mean is the rc. Getting old enough that you could have you know new lexus. See if you're just looking at coops. I mean don't get me started on that rumor that the celicas coming back. That's all my god bruce. You just hit it you just hit. It exclusive right here april fifth. The big announcement is going to be a toyota celica subaru as vx. It's it's it's nineteen ninety two all over again but some level in my grunge. Something you just said reminded me of something that as we're winding down here i wanted to mention the people we have discussed doing a livestream of weird and funny press images. Because it's something you. And i both have a real passion for that. We just love these sixty seventies eighties even into the nineties press photos that are just absurd and the thing is if it's just you and me or you and a guest laughing at them. It's one thing if we had you know audience either suggesting them too as people getting responses. It's something that could be fun. And it's something we've discussed but it's not something. We're sure that people would actually enjoy. So that's another thing. Podcast motor one dot com. If you would want to sit down with us you know. We figure out some time some evening. Invite a bunch of people you we have a chat going on and just talk to people about the weird press images.

"This point future performance vehicle. Now we know that the the the the vr z. Here is coming. We have we have the article or not not the beers. We know the the the supermodel is coming here at subaru abuser. I also have the toyota article here. Toyota teases electric suv before a shanghai motor. Show debut that. Timing's right given. The timing is absolutely right because i think this is in early. April is not it right in says right here in. The article is able to debut april. This year i thought it was early april but in any case april has we're recording is tomorrow so motor chose april twenty two twenty eighth. But still you could. Yeah we know. We know toyota is going to be doing this vehicle soon. So there's there's some considerable evidence they're saying okay. This is what's going to happen but gazoo racing thing i mean. What do you think bruce. Could there be up a racing version of a performance. Crossover coming from toyota and subaru. It could be or. I've got another thing. This is a report from twenty nineteen and this comes from best car in japan. Which best car is They will publish just about any rumor that anyone even like vaguely comes up with so take best car with the biggest possible grain of salt. You can find yet. Sometimes they're right sometimes. They're very wrong. They said like at nsf type bar. I think was supposed to debut like two years ago so we have to take this with a grain of salt but allegedly. They are working together on. So the headline here says nexgen. Wrx but the report it kind of splits hairs that it could be a few different things that they could be working on something that the translation again best cars a japanese website. They have no english edition so we are working on machine translations a but something that translates as super all-wheel-drive which just judging by the name it sounds like some sophisticated drive system which subaru would certainly know how to do and that they could. They could be collaborating on something like that again. It's an old rumor but it's certainly an interesting one especially given the timeframe of automotive development if you think this was november of two thousand nineteen if you're going to start showing off a vehicle in april two years before then maybe development started. You've got two years. That's four years plus a few months to get it on the road. That's in line with normal vehicle development. So maybe it really it really is it really is I know we had a pretty animated chats in our just. in our team's group with all the motor one editors and writers everything from performance luxury. Suv to my choice. Who wants to see this. S vx comeback. Let's let's see let's see the. Vx comeback shared jointly with. Toyota has out no pick pick whatever toyota model. You want it to be. I don't care. Because i want my svn back and the thing is. That's not totally unreasonable. Yeah i mean if you're making an all wheel drive sports coupe. Yeah i lawyer. We're looking at some for that. But i believe the spx was all-wheel-drive sport coupe. It was it was a very quirky very expensive. All wheel drive sports coupe. That completely failed. So you know. Traditionally automakers don't to revisit their failures. But i think enough time has gone by and the espn does have something of a cult following. I know that because i'm part of that cult following. I haven't. I haven't heard that as well. I haven't bought one yet but i've been close many times So something that are co worker. Adrian and i have discussed. Is that something you have to realize. Is that toyota. I believe right now. Owns twenty percent of subaru And what if just say. What if subaru has been helping toyota on their hypercard project. Oh we know the vehicle that we're looking at now. We know is coming because subaru is beating in the lamont's hypercard class and that class specifies that a production vehicle must happen and so. I hope anyone who's watching it here. So here we are looking at. You can see. it's open top it. Is you know it looks very sporty. But since that image has come out we've also seen the racing version. Which is this right old on which is here and you can see they are not identical vehicles. They you know. Obviously it's not open top. The finn going on the back isn't as large. There's no wing on the other one so while they're they certainly have their similarities. They're not it's not just one for the other. What if subaru has been contributing to the hyper car program. And that's what we're gonna get to see and the interesting thing about that is. Is that the series in which the car we're looking at now starts racing. The first event is at the end of april so an event in early april to show the to show more stuff about it. It's not out of the realm of possibility. all bruce. what are we going to do but no. That's one thing. Yeah this job sometimes is getting an announcement like this knowing that something is coming clearly and you know the easy. Money is going to be the new toyota eight six. That's the easy money. That's that's the easy pickings but there's a lot of evidence that doesn't support it right but there's also a lot of evidence that doesn't support all of these other. Unfortunately here's here's kind of a practical level that i keep coming back to automakers right now are selling. Suv's and crossovers lot of makers are pulling away from sedans and pulling away from some cases tweeted away from cars completely so when you're looking at a at a joint collaboration between two groups that already have a sports car. They're doing together that we know for sure. My heart kinda tells me while my heart wants it to be nice sporty coupe. Spx revival hyper car or some sort of supercar like that. My brain tells me i still think it's i still think it's likely some sort of i think it's likely going to be At the very least they're going to announce this new jointly developed electric crossover that may have a performance application in the future. Or they'll announce the electric crossover and then say hey. We're working on some other stuff later with performance applications. That that's what my can my logic cells and tells me and you're not rob but i just want to address the image that we're looking at now which is a subaru brat and that just got as a joke. We threw it out in our chat that. What if they're gonna make some sort of performance pickup. It's just an excuse to share an image of a brats. Not gonna lie hyper. I appreciate that. I appreciate that. There's never a bad time to show off a subaru rat especially one that's tan with black and orange trim so i'm trying to put wall. We're sharing kind of dark horse candidates. There is a rumor going around that. Lexus is developing a halo vehicle. That is a body on.

And if you didn't see it there that's a shame We interviewed ted ryan who is an archivist from ford. We talked all about bronco history We got into some real like we literally went from the very beginning to the two thousand four concept so other than the very modern the one. That's coming soon. We talked everything about bronco and it was a really good discussion. And it's kind of a shame that youtube algorithm can aid. It didn't send it to the people who necessarily subscribe to us. So if you know if for whatever reason you didn't see it go to motor one motor. One com on youtube is our channel name and check it out please because it was a really good one and you know it was a really good one but we also just had some epic photos. Oh yeah i mean. "The W. two you'll be car review as we try out the new Subaru outback which is technically a station wagon but behaves much more like an SUV a car guy Mike Parris a member of the Washington automotive press association says this morning you should include the outback when shopping for the family car it's you were kind of master wagon form by making it higher so kind of like an S. U. V. if you're not quite SUV lease following sound that way so it has lots of ground clearance you can actually use the all wheel drive system some light off roading can happen so yeah it's pretty popular and if you ever go to New England area there's about eight trillion of these car driving around is not quite as macho as the S. U. V. but so what yeah it's a definitely give children better gas mileage is that an S. U. V. and it's all easy to drive around to you can park in the smaller spaces and drive in the city a lot easier than you could say a larger SUV or big crossover what's your cost well it starts around thirty thousand dollars fully loaded you get closer to forty thousand dollars my model had all the toys in it then is very nice they really upgraded the interior this year was a twenty twenty model so yeah it's definitely a much nicer place to be living for half your day sometimes and we should point out that while it's not technically an S. U. V. it is kind of a blown up station wagon or a longer vehicle yeah definitely so it has all the space of a crossover SUV but I'm more of a car like it's no small little tiny vehicle at all this is a a mid sized vehicle without lots of space what did you like most with the XC model I drove to get two hundred sixty horsepower it's just what the doctor ordered for this car you can actually tell thirty five hundred pounds and while the powers nice I love power don't get me wrong but has lots of great safety features and new for this year is a new one called driver focus it's a distraction mitigation features so if you're I start to wonder years maybe I start to close it's going to warn you by telling you to Hey pay attention you got a task at hand it's very important it's driving his vehicle what about the downside well the pricing of the Subaru outback aspects the touring XP model I drove about forty thousand dollars which might be a little too much for some people to want to pay for a large wagon and the fuel economy not the best day I drove the car during the winner it was pretty new but only about twenty to twenty three miles per gallon for the week I drove it which seems to be less than four say most wagons are sedans we didn't really get any snow this winter so we couldn't put it through its paces but you're definitely be just fine in any kind of bad weather or as you say even the rocky terrain yeah the Subaru a symmetrical.

"I don't have Subaru outback anymore. Will there you go you win win this around but I did want to say they'd one-sided thing and then one very important thing that the study reminded me of we're talking about veal awhile back the original recipe for Parmigiano reggiano cheese. was you start with the enzymes you get to make the cheese you get that out of the stomach of the oil calf's rennet right yes at a French yeah you've got your butcher the veal and then you open up their stomach and it's got partially fermented digested did cow's milk from the mom and start making with that pretty gnarly. That makes a lot of sense really. I knew that I knew that it was an animal derived thing. I guess I didn't really that makes perfect sense that it would come from a milk calf that is still all drinking mother's milk. That's really cool. Actually I appreciate you appointing that out and then then the other thing I wanted to point out is that you think eating beef is bad for your carbon budget. What's bar worse is food waste? I it's not far worse. It's it's parts about seventy Giga tons of voided by twenty fifty versus the sixty or so by switching to plan rich Diet so pop quiz guys what fraction of food doesn't make to the table worldwide thirty percent percent. Is this prices right rules highest without going over or closest going over yeah you were close and you didn't go over its thirty three percent one-third but it's closer to fifty percent in the United States so what you're saying is. We should model ourselves after the N._F._l.. Not In eating the popular version of the Paleo Diet but if you open your fridge and something's gone off in his rotten just eat it anyway just like the polls yet or just like eat the food. Did you buy you know like look at what's in your fridge and be like okay. It's not like exactly what I WANNA eat tonight but I can make a Veggie stir fry out of this stuff. which is one of the things I liked about? I don't watch it as often as I used to but I used to watch a lot of chopped and it changed the way that I looked at my own fridge because it's like the whole point of the game show is they get a basket of random ingredients and then I have to make a dish and suddenly every time you open your fridge. You're like okay here. My ingredients look this. There's my mystery basket. What can I put together to impress Scott Kona? Am I gonNA Piss off Shelly probably but I can do this so for High Income Nations O._e._C._d.. Nations what do y'all think is the reason why there's Chai food rejection or food waste I. I think I just gave gave it away. Is it that whole like ugly produce thing yes willful rejection of food a glue produce. I don't want that you order way more than you need. Because you WANNA try three appetizers yeah Taupo so great my taking the wrong message was just what some Ben Konta Mata and a little thirty Espanola but having looked at this. I mean other strategies other than just stop wasting food that we can try to think about in our daily lives. Stop wasting food and eat less meat depends on where you're at right so low income nations. What's this you there for food ways? You wouldn't think if you transport infants infrastructure issues yeah <hes> goods get stuck in traffic jam or they're not refrigerated.

"See the show is brought to you by two thousand nineteen Subaru outback perhaps the most adventurous outback ever right now, we're gonna switch gears and talk to our friend and civil rights. Criminal defense attorney, Brian clay pool. Brian, welcome. Thanks for having me backtra. Yeah. So this is another failure of our social service system. Correct. You're you're you're coming after today. Yeah. Just another horrifying case I represent Oskar Ventura and his little boy Damian was two days away from his third birthday when he was allegedly murdered by his mom's boyfriend. And again, this is fresh off the heels of the Anthony Avalos, torture and murder. Allegedly by the boyfriend, and the mom I represent the family in that case as well. So this is very troubling that we have this the stomach pattern of social workers in LA county who are simply ignoring massive red flags what we've missed in this case. Yeah. Well, brace yourself. The father father had a video of Damian he faced with Bruce is his teak area was bruised nerves. A little bit of blood news. I so the father who was fighting for permanent custody said do as a little boy Damian. Hey, what happened? And he has a son take. And and the little boy says Joe, no Joe, no Joe Joe slapped me Joe get me so Oscar takes Damian to the to the emergency room to get treated for the injury. And of course, the doctor as a mandated reporter contacts DCFS, they send a social worker out. What does she tell Oscar does she doesn't believe him doesn't believe the kid and thinks that he did he put the kid up to it and just ignored? Yeah. I mean, we we had. So we we released the video of that. I mean, you hardly ever have a child on videotape shading who physically abused them. But it gets worse. I mean, you have the owner of the daycare center. The grandmother too, right? Okay. Yeah. But yeah. But the grandmother get this grandmother is the mother not of Oscar the mother of the mother whose boyfriend allegedly murdered Jamie. She didn't think that the mom was was, you know? Oh, she didn't think the kids should stay in the house. She she mentioned about Joe justified. Wanna see the guy's name that he that. He was hitting Damian Damian's not safe that the mom is not fit the moms for her daughter to the grandmother. My grandma's saying this. Yeah. Right. Exactly. The grandmother rights. I is is telling the same social worker that her own daughter is not fit to take care of this child and that the boyfriend has harmed physically harmed Damian, and that's now three people and then DCFS ignored. But here's here's here's what I'm calling for change on. I think you can relate to this drew whenever a child especially here. It's a three year old when you've kind of three year old child disclosing shy, physical or sexual abuse. You'll need a for a trained child forensic psychologist to come in and intervene and meet with that child and engage in some therapy. Whether that's a credit. The report you can't have this is my big you can't have an untrained social worker who's not a psychologist. There's no training in dealing with children on that level to be the judge, Sherry and executioner. Maybe that day, she just didn't feel like dealing with it. How are we going to get that to happen? We don't we don't have enough, social work assistance. Let alone social workers to make meet all the demand. Let alone forensic boarded psychologists which you'll never get enough of. How are we going to do this? We we have a surplus our state has a surplus. We have tons of millions of dollars in surplus number one. Why why can't we Mark some of that money toward independent forensic psychologist number two after the murder and torture of Gabriel Fernandez? You remember him out? Lancaster a few years ago. Okay. Well, there there was a blue ribbon panel commission. It was anointed to investigate that. And it came out with a one hundred page recommendation that I mentioned the other day and a couple of recommendations are just what I'm talking about. Are you need to have independent independent somebody who's independently trained not tied to the county to deal with these kids, drew? Eighty one percent of of kids who are who. Die after DCFS intervenes are from the age zero five. Razer? I listen if you can get it. That'd be a great thing. I just I just don't know where dad I feel so bad at the end of the story that I just read the dad said I wish the boy looked at me when he had to go back to his mom the last time he saw him in the boy said gave him a look like dad don't make me go back. And that was the last time he saw him and there no way that he could have just like gone to the courts and to set I'm not gonna give up my son back. I mean, it was just some drastic measure measure he could have done. Yeah. That's a good question. Because that's that's what I could back out of said. No. Yeah. Right. Nancy? Yeah. I mean, th that could have been done. But I mean, I, you know, I don't wanna I don't wanna end this with people thinking we can't come up with the resources. I mean, we we need to have to. This is an epidemic. I just think expand the social services, so they're burdened their loads aren't so they actually do their job. That's the main complaint that the social social workers out there. They're trained to do this kind of thing. But they don't have the time to do it satisfactorily. They have too much on their plate, Brian. Thank you so much as always for looking at the stories like this. And we'll talk to you. No doubt about this tragic. No problem. Thanks, right. Right. That's Brian clay pool. "Thousand nine Subaru outback this may be our most adventurous outback yet. Eight hundred two two two five two two two Adrian go ahead. We were talking about the fact there are more than injection drug users, Dan students, go ahead. Yes. So one of the things actually being one of the last few people that have been born in San Francisco actually live here participate in this area. If you ask a lot of the guys that are particularly homeless and and doing drugs, they're not from around here. I've asked a lot of where they're from most of them are from like some of them are from Texas. Is that new information for you? I would say southern California. That's almost exclusively the case, Dan. They're all out of town. Yeah, they're all from out of town. So I mean, one of the things that we really need to address is you know, where where all these people coming from. Now, remember the story a couple of years ago? Certain towns in Nevada in the mid west. We're just putting people on buses. Yeah. Well, they weren't telling them home. They were sending him to San Francisco into the the sunnier parts of the country. So you know, that the first conversation where are these people coming from? And then from there can we do an outreach to their hometowns. This is gonna be a grassroots kind of conversation. It's not going to be a conversation. That's been going on forever already. 'cause it's not nothing's changing. Right. So there's something new has to happen. There are programs, and they're actually California LA has actually offered and put people on buses and offer them tickets back home and people have taken them. I know but that now. Unusual. I mean, this is a free country. People are allowed to go to whatever state they want to. But yes, a lot of people do end up in California for the same reasons. People wanna become stars. Right. They all end up in LA or San Francisco sable, go ahead. Oh, hi, Dr do I called you about this before you know, how Switzerland solve their problems? They had a big huge heroin problem in the ninety s and there was a needle park. You know, it really deterred tourists, but they solve the problem. They there's there are no Shiro drug addicts on the street in Switzerland. Where did they do? Well, they they gave him the methadone. They provided a safe safe. You know, disable say we have tons of methadone and suboxone here, these people are we would delight to give the they they refuse it. They don't want to get off the injection drug. Well, I mean, they did it. They did it in Switzerland. I don't know what else they gave him, but they gave him. Yes. Correct. That near the they forced treatment, and they were not nearly in the numbers that we have here. Yes. If you treat these people they will get better. This is my point sable. Why don't we treat them people get in the way of the treatment? That's the problem. We get in the way of it. We say it's they there. There are noble homeless people do whatever they want. Who are we to say who are we to say, I'm a physician these are really sick people are languishing and dying the not doing it is not compassion. It is a passion. Jeremy go ahead. Hi, dr. I lived in downtown LA for almost ten years. But I my feeling is just to start with some of the basic fundamentals being, you know, there's no place for anyone much less homeless, and like San Francisco or downtown LA to use the restroom. There's no public restrooms anywhere if there is single So Jerry, listen to this data a lot of contact. So Mitch England. Particular county city or the county supervisor set out banks of showers and bathrooms four homeless, folks. And no one would use them. Once they went out hang on. So they went out and tried to make contact with homeless people to try to get them into the showers in the bathrooms and on average one person one shower took fourteen contacts on average. So there is a much more serious problem here with the mental health issue. Trust makes people paranoid and agitated and unable and unwilling and by the way, a highly treatable conditions, but you have to treat the conditions. I then people will attend to hygiene clothe themselves in house themselves properly the end, so. Context just to get somebody in a shower think about and that's one time. It's not like once they do it after fourteen context. It'll happen every time takes that every shower. Yeah. So it's not just about access though. I agree with you access. It would be nice. That's a big part of the housing the and the and the facilities, psychologically, psychological, fully Steph part of the story, but we're all over that. But this one piece if we do not solve it ain't nothing gonna get better. IV drug addicts. Why don't we the only they will respond to giving them heroin? They don't want methadone. They don't want some. Heroine and get them into enrolled in a relationship much like with the showers situation where you get people motivated to maybe wanna get well, I watched the video store on insists bathroom like feet away. Eight hundred two two two five two two two. Leeann tweeden this midday live message and data rates may apply. Earning your degree from one of the top business schools in the country might sound impossible to fit into your workload..
