"Flux website. I just want to make sure because they've updated the node requirements. I want to pull the latest okay, here we go. So for a cumulative, you have it on screen there. For a cumulus node, you need at least two cores, four threads, 8 gigs of ram, 220 gigs of storage, preferably on an SSD, and then this MBS, so you need a 180 megabytes down, right, for Internet, up doesn't matter. So sorry it does, you need 25. So you need a 180 down 25 up. That's a big the Internet speed here is one of the biggest things that's going to be a limiting factor. Most home users are going to have to stick with the lowest tier just because as you start to go up the upload speed starts to even get beyond what I can do. If you are one of the lucky ones with gigabit symmetrical, then you'll be just fine. But for a lot of us we're not going to be able to do it. And then that EPS score, that's essentially less, which how powerful each core of your processor is. If you're running a modern processor, you are totally fine. Like mine's like in the thousands for my Ryzen in my own raid. So what you can see there is that is what I set up in unread. I set up a VM. It has using two of my cores for my threads. I gave it 250 gigs of one of my drives. And set it up. And then as you go up, those requirements start to creep up, right? The next level up, you need 32 gigs of ram. The next one above that is 64 gigs. So you can kind of start to see what they're trying to do is they're really trying to reward their most, their highest end computer systems are virtual machines that they can put apps on, which is right. I mean, that makes a lot of sense. But at least you can get in and start playing, and the way they do their block rewards is kind of interesting. So you'll see 7.5% for cumulus 12 5 and 30%. Each block, you are essentially so let's say there's 10,000 people running a cumulus node. That means and only one person from each tier gets rewarded per block. So you're going to have to wait 10,000 blocks until your name comes up and then you get paid. But it's not based off how many apps you're running on your that's not based off utilization. It's not based on anything like that. It's strictly just how many of how many there are, and then when your number comes up, you get paid the block reward for that. It's not a lottery kind of need a lottery. You jump in line and then if somebody drops, you move up a little bit, right? And exactly. They drop off, you move up. But if your machine is getting utilized more or less, it doesn't matter. It's the same amount. And obviously as nimbus and stratus, they get a bigger percentage of that block reward. So that's why it's more profitable. And so number one for those two two top tiers, there's way less people running those tears, and it's more they get a bigger chunk of the block reward. So that's why those are going to be more profitable. But again, it's just kind of nice because it just sits there and you can actually predict when you're going to get your next little reward because you can count out each block is two minutes and how many people are ahead of me in line and that's when you'll get paid out. So this is not going to be the most extremely profitable mining. You do this because of the ecosystem that they're creating. And so the piece on this that I want to talk about that's kind of cool is if you go back to, well, I don't know if I want to show it. Okay. Yeah, so on my screen, this is not mine. You sure you want to show it? Yeah, this is fine. This isn't my node. So if you essentially, every flux node has a dashboard like this. And the cool part is what you can see is you can see overall stats from the overall network. So in the network right now, there's 13,000 nodes. I think this part's really cool. On the entire flux network, there's 90,000 cores that are available, 260 terabytes of ram, and there's 5.75 petabytes of SSD storage, and then 88 terabytes of hard drive storage, which is kind of cool. And you can kind of see the trends of how people are going on. But what I love about this is if you go down to apps, can you go to local apps, when you're on your own node, you can see what type of apps people are running on your VM. And you can't do anything with them, right? But you can see it would be a list here of what everyone's running. Now the most popular things to run on the flux node today are actual nodes for other projects just like this. For example, pre search. So when I want to run my research node, now I actually just pay one flux a month and I host my research node on flux. So you can actually run a research node here. You can do it with a lot. So if you go to available here, you can see some of the different apps that are available. And there's a really long list somewhere else. But you can run self hosted websites, you can run little games, web games that you can run through here. But there's a massive kind of actually, if you just go to global apps here, you can see all that you can run Minecraft servers, you can run all sorts of you can run a valheim server. I know a few of us in the community played valheim back in the day. You run all this stuff on flux.

"Let's talk Before i let you go just about some of your favorite moments. Our memories working with trish. Of course usually let me steer the ship and i'm grateful for the opportunity but you've got to find trish story up your sleeve right. I you know i i. I think that the most fun that i had Was the whole trish and mickie james scenario because it was it was fun and without giving too much backstory. If you've ever had a stalker a random sentence okay well have you ever had a random soccer. Their county okay. so anyway. f- won't make answer. I already know ads or can think of those events where your heart just kind goes into your stomach. And you're like oh no man in so that was fun to bill and mickey and trish were so into it looking at it from all different angles that that was a shitload of fun man and an trish bringing her dad around Back in the day. And just look. I think that when you if you were to build a roster of talent that you really enjoy being around in a fun passionate share the same ideals that you do and in in have an open mind. Tristesse is one of those kinda it at the top of the list. Hard to argue. I am a big fan of all this she did. All we've ever heard is is great complimentary things. It's pretty rare that you run across somebody who seems to be so universally loved and professional wrestling but it does feel like that's where tricia right now Where we are right now is the end of the show but before we wrap up i do want to ask. Was there any consideration to to pairing her onscreen the quote unquote top guy. You know steve. Austin iraq a johnson. Ah you know something like that. I mean she was paired with then since she was paired with hunter. So i may they'll get more top than that For a long term. I think the money was more in trish being a competitor. Yep doing what. "That wasn't always the plan you know. I sorta inherited ginger and she's like One of those little white poodles like a toy poodle type deal and i was like. Oh my god. This is exactly like out of a movie right but it was megan's dog but now very quickly ginger. Not ma'am we're together. And she is the official dog of something to wrestle. No matter what burs tells you one thing. Bruce and i both agree on though is solid. Gold is the only way that we should feed our paths. Solid gold is the first holistic. Pet food company in america started way back in nineteen seventy four. And what's really cool about solid. Gold is they have a founding belief that high quality food is the best way to impact our pets mind body and spirit and a lot of that is because eighty percent of the immune system is influenced by the gut and a proper diet and making sure that we care for their digestive. Health is going help them. Better fi environmental allergies. And i didn't realize that that was such a big deal until i started to do some research myself and a lot of the problems obscene other dogs in the past have or so of my friends. Dogs have it all came down to they. Were eating the wrong food not anymore for over forty five years. Solid gold has revolutionized this holistic pet food category and now they have a recipe for literally any dog or cat dietary needs including and check this out healthy whole grain and grain. Free options have got wet food. They've got supplements lexi meal. And of course everybody's favorite the one hundred percent human grade bone broth for dogs. Your dog is gonna go nuts for that stuff. Solid foods are different because they clans digestive system with whole superfoods. They balance with living probiotics..

"Let's fan questions. We've got a ton. There's no way we get to all of them de joe dangerously wants to know man or woman was there ever arrests. Are that you've seen grow more as a performer than trish. Tristesse is one of those men if not in the top five top one or two. Yeah it's pretty fascinating when you think about that too. Because they're such a great list of guys who have evolved over the years. But i i kind of agree. Trish has got to be near the top. I mean when you first see your you have a preconceived notion you think. Well she's just going to be of allah. And i'm not gonna name any other names. There were a lot of other women who were really literally just a pretty face. And that's what they were there for. In a man she dug in and learned her craft and went from being not so great to holy shit. This is a really good match. And railings elsa guy. Chris trish was not good when she first started. Oh she evolved. She got better but she she got she got great. Yes and that's that's the thing about it. Is you look at her from where she started was like okay man. She's clueless. she doesn't know what to do here what to do there. But she was coach -able and she was able to apply everything that she was told. You know practically and her perseverance really. I mean i remember. Sometimes she would come out with this huge grand but do she'd be covered in bruises where she had been bait up and some matches and she's still granted doing her thing and was not the era where you expected that i mean usually the girls that like they were the ladies rather that like they were ready for a photo shoot you. And here's trish. Yes she looks right. And she's got a gear like she likes it and all that jazz but she's beat up and she still slinging that match around like nobody's business. Drew landry wants to know was trish in charlotte The more recent version of course the women's version of hogan rock. I never really thought about that. But they're both in canada. It's sort of the best of what was and maybe the best of what is. I could see that comparison. I never thought of it but interesting question from true. Yeah i could see that comparison as well Michael mcclanahan says what was your favorite storyline of tristesse to produce. And why i think. Probably the the stuff in. Even though i didn't get produces much of what i did get to work on was the whole triangle with stephanie. In hundred trish. That was a lot of fun. Just coming up with those ideas and being able to work with them. was fun a primarily. Had their fingerprints on that That was probably again. Like i was probably vents brian words and louder specs and i had a little bit here and there but not that much other than. Hey what if we did this right. Yeah speaking hey. What ifs greg. Watanabe did someone specifically push to have trish and lita main event that all i think they deserved it. I think that are work in. The story is what push to make that happen. It was when you look at it will. This is interesting and never done it. Let's try it. Let's see how does so. That's that's them. That's on the talent that point because they they made it undeniable Francis says whose idea was it to have the nfl promo with trish in shelton. Also was she really really naked in that room. Oh you don't have to answer that. But i don't remember this. Nfl promo with trade. Sorry google machine. No wait maybe not Lupe martinez says always felt the trish versus leader could have ended a pay per view. Was that ever brought up or considered did get what about a pay per view. Yeah i think more than anything injuries and timing. Yeah herod's says what was tristesse reaction backstage after the now infamous raw tag match from two with her in bradshaw versus jackie data and christopher nowinski This is regarded as being if you recall Maybe one of the bigger stinkers from the era. Ooh i don't remember sorry lindsay lindsay says. Does anyone ever feel like she's the one that got away She wasn't a lifer and wasn't really long around for a terribly long time but she was one of the greatest. Do you think he could have done more to get her to stay full-time well the answer. No i don't think we could have done anything to get her say fulltime at that point in time and as you say would have loved to have had longer absolutely does feel like she was here a lot longer. Absolutely you know. As i said you felt like out of trish was here. Twelve fifteen years one she sex and made a hell of an impact in that time. So kudos her for being able to take get out on her on her terms and her timing a good for her but had she stayed fulltime. I think that we definitely would have used her. She would have been on top and probably been the catalyst even more so into the women's revolution as it was. Michael says in your mind when is trish set amongst all women's wrestlers of all time and same question for all time canadian talent You know that's a tough question. Because you're you're looking at. You're looking at the pioneers like fabulous moolah and mae young and then you look at people like wendi richter who was one that brought it you know mainstream was cindy lauper is she was the choice to be along with. Cindy lauper for that right. Sensational sherri is at the top of that list. Just for being sherry is far is in ranked talent and in overall You have to keep those other women in that conversation because they were the pioneers and there have been a lot of rates. And i think that for the time the trish was in the business and when you apply that in her impact in the business yeah she definitely in the top ten of greatest of all time all right. Listen up boys and girls surprised that. Bruce absolutely love our dogs occasionally. You can hear him barking in the background. We want to keep our dogs with us for a long long time. They really are man's best friend. My dog ginger. has Become very quickly my best friend. She follows me everywhere. I go usually when i'm recording She's in the back corner and a little bed that we have here in the studio. I can't tell you what a big part of my life. Ginger has become now..

"Don't you think. I mean she's one of the folks who helped move the way. The women's presentation was from being. Just brian pani mansions. Don't get me wrong. She was in her fair. Share those but hey now we're we're putting the women's belt in the main event on raw. That's a cool moment. That people will talk about for a long long time. yes i think. The church was one of the one of those pioneers and there. There were a few of them in there. That helped get us to a place where we are today and to that. I applaud her wholeheartedly At the same time trish was also a an overall talent that understood that. Hey we're entertainment and we're going to go out and have fun. We're going to go out and play parkson This is what we do to entertain our audience so all the way round trish was well rounded performer. One of the greats for sure she's been back for a ton of appearances and one offs including being in the first women's royal rumble She came back for a match against charlotte flare at summer slam. It's gotta be pretty cool for you. You know here. After all these years you're back and so is trish. Yes it really walls in thirty years every once in a while. Run into convention or something like that. It was always just so great to see her again because it was the same smile. Melissa saint greeting and she's just such a positive person so having to come back and everything it was a lot of fun to have that nostalgia and that summer slam was. Where was that in toronto. Yeah almost like your book. The building just for her tristesse career an impact on the business. How would you do that positive. In one word. I would say positive from the human being to what she did for the women's division and for what she did for herself Trista me is the epitome of hard work. Passion that a lot of people saw her as is. Oh hey man. She's just another pretty face. Yeah that is going to get by on that and trish was. I don't think. I don't think trish even sees herself as a pretty face. I think that Trish kind of sees herself is who she is. She's a strong person that is passionate about what she does everything that she does whether it's wrestling and her yoga in her family in and all all the way down Positive in she made a lot of great contributions to the company. Did you think we were really going to do this. "Extra and trish can get the job done. Not thinking was was that every day on the road that carlito would oftentimes Go off with some of the women and go shopping and he would go to the malls and he. He would go shopping with with a lot of our female talent and carlito had a great report with them. I think he had a pretty good report with trash in. There was chemistry. There there was. There was just Chemistry there that you could feel and you could see so it just kind of made sense. Well let's try this help carlito and get trish something to do as well. I don't know where starts to be speculation. That trish is going to work towards retirement. The injuries just start to get to her had wrestling run. Its course had. She had her fill or was it just time to. It'll be a real person you know. Let's get married. Let's be a mom list to the family thing. Let's try new things mean. She grew up loving wrestling but it does feel like she started a rack up the injuries. And i don't know. I think i would probably be wondering man. Is it time to move on. Yeah i think that is kind of a combination of all of the above in the realization. From tristesse like wow. I've had these injuries as the stuff has happened to me. I want to have kids and have a family. I want to do other things and it came to the time that when you look back on her she had done an awful lot she came in. She had a good run on top. She had a good time and a good career and i. It was a very positive Contributor to the women's side without a doubt and trish just from a backstage in locker room to me was very positive influence as well just always have smiler face. Always in a good mood is like man A joy to work with so to that. Yeah man he kinda hate to see her go but at the same time. I think that she's looking at the rest of her life. Yup which kudos to her good for her realizing that in being able to walk away that point. Yeah i mean it's what's the mr perfect thing getting over. Get out you. You wanna leave on your terms. And i think that's so cool. I mean even in sports you know. Sometimes we sit around and we say man what could have been with barry sanders or whatever but when you get to walk away on your own. That's that's pretty cool. You're not taking out on a stretcher. You know you're not being forced out the door saying we're not going to renew your contract. You have your phone mecca. Bunch of money see the world have some really cool experiences. And then say. I'm ready for the next chapter and i think that she looks back on On her career here of extremely fondly and you know still still longs for the relationships that she made here and the career that she made here. I realized that it was a long time ago. But when you first hear the news. Do you think vince. Even has a tinge of god. Damnit we've put all this time and money in this character and now she's going or does the real life bans takeover and he's happy for the real life trish like good for herman. Yeah i think he was happy. You know first of all. There is always going to be a damning. I wish you know we still had her for a few more years but it is also hey good for her best a lot tour and next. Yeah because she's done he's not done. The beat goes on. Yeah he ain't never going to be done never. She finishes up at unforgiven in her hometown of toronto I don't know why i mean. Nobody cares about hometowns. What about the little girl in india and defeats lead up by the sharpshooter to regain the women's talk. Wait a minute what the fuck. I'll put the belt on her because she's in her fucking goofy s. Oh down this is fucking state but this is a global brand. Because she's in her hometown of toronto. I mean i don't under- did you. Book the fucking building to have her win. The goddamn belt i remember. Is that what you did. That's why we built book that building several all of her friends. It's the seven toronto the seventh and final time. she's going to be the champ. She gets very classy. Goodbye from the crowd and the company pretty fitting into a nice little six year. Run here for trish stratus. At least in my point of view. I mean comes in as a valet. First big bump power bomb through a table from bubba ray and before you know it man. She's having really great matches wrestlemainia big moments with the mcmahon's she had a cool run in hindsight. It feels like it was longer than six years. But i think people think that about a lot of the top acts from the wwe over the years whether it's a guy like iraq or a guy like stone cold. They're not usually these twenty year careers. I mean the undertaker is is one of those exceptions and randy. Orton is one of those exceptions. But a lot of those top tier talent man. It's a relatively short amount of time. But those memories they make such an impression. It feels like a lot longer. Yeah it sure does man. Even when i'm sitting here looking at it. I in my head. It was a lot probably twice that long. Yeah of course life goes on. She gets married in two thousand six to a fine gentleman name. Ron and you're gone with the company when trish is inducted into the hall of fame. But obviously you saw and you knew. She deserved to be there. But she's She's a legit pioneer for the company..

"Let's talk about how attrition later now friends and they're gonna start dating jericho and christian and this is where stratus jerko are into each other shit. Buck me fuck fuck fuck so as we were saying trish and lita are now friends. And they're going to start dating dating jerko and christian stratus in jericho or can dig in each other and it somehow leads to armageddon which has trish and lita versus jericho and christian and wouldn't know what the guys win. Jericho christians friendship winds up ending. And of course it leads to wrestlemania twenty with jericho versus christian and of course we know trish is going to turn on jericho after the match and make out with christian on stage. What he'll i gotta think i like trish better as a heel than it is a baby face even though i think most fans probably most fondly remember her as a baby did you ever preference I think that it was a it was a push for trish to be a. He'll because she's kinda naturally you baby face in real life and i think she enjoys being arabia face more. What do you think creative here. It feels like more often than not in this era. When it comes to the ladies there is some relationship layer. Like they're dating this guy that guy. There's a romantic interest with this person or that person. Why was that. Like our crutch for creative at that time. Do you think is it. Is it a crutch to have relationships. People have relationships in real life in his storytelling. And it's much easier to tell the story if you're in a relationship that people can relate to storytelling crutch you don't have to get hot about. Why did it out about is because you're inferring. It's cheap way to go. It is it's it's not it is. It's so in drama. Have a fucking relationship. Oh that's a cheap way to. Why does someone loves someone. Why does why do men and women like each other. Why do people have affection towards other people. that's not. that's a crutch for someone to like someone. You familiar faces. All that's a crutch. I'm just saying it exists at a higher percentage of the female creative than it does for the mail. I don't know why you can't see that. Probably there's dancing now. What are you talking about tangos. Drink your fucking diet coke and come up with a little witty things should on before and let's move on so there. There were no man in that relationship. That's awful sexist. The relationships their relationships men women can have relationships men and men can have relationships women and women can have relationships their relationships so they are how many times they're in real life every day you have you are in a relationship. Not issue are not. It's our marriage relationship. Bali is yep. Are you ever mom. And dad are in a relationship not again not not on purpose was why accident tyson. Tomko was put with christian and trish. What's the thinking there. I think the old school wrestling term is. They need a heater. How and why the someone quote unquote neda hager. How do you as creative decide okay. They need somebody. What are they missing. Is it just size is height. Is it away to bring someone new along introduced. A new person get more onscreen. What's the what's the deciding factor for how you bring in a new person like this as a quote unquote heater embry minutes here. We brought him in as is a talent that we were looking that we felt at a lot of potential Tomko had a great look and have potential. The idea was to put with people in particular with christian that could teach him to work in teaching the nuances of the business and the psychology of the business by being around christian all the time. It is corner working with him in learning all all the time. That was the reason that tom goes poop. Christian trish is going to win the women's title for the fifth time and bad blood but unfortunately she breaks her hand afterwards and she doesn't even have the title stripped was it because it would screw up a long-term storyline or or what's the thinking there. Well it was different day and age and A broken hand was going to stop her. From you know was gonna be out for that long. Wash the title. If you still do things around it really big moment happens here Trish and leader are gonna main event. Monday night raw on december sixth. The women's championship is on the line. But this is a big moment. The women have never main event and singles accent like this before a monday night raw which is very much the flagship show not just for me to be but all of professional wrestling at this point lead is going to get the win. One of the biggest moments maybe and women's wrestling history at that point. Maybe the biggest and later and trish are booked against each other. At new year's revolution rallied a blows out her knee and trish pins are in the match quickly. This is just the worst timing ever. I mean it feels like after that big main event the women are ready to reach new heights and then the injury bug bites you at worst possible time. Sadness man sadness. Because i think that at that time two of the hottest talent the we end on the roster were lead in trash getting best reaction in the audience was really into them so it was just horrible. Timing and you feel bad for the talent. You feel bad for everything going into because you know you're looking at the future now you take fifty percent of that attraction away in it hurts. Tammy up if you had. I mean i thinking back wrestlemainia was supposed to be a rematch. Later in trish for the bill right is best. I can remember so since leader is injured. The pivot is to make trish jealous over christie. Jimmy's playboy spread and her exposure from it. And boy this age well trish is going to attack her and spray. Paint the word slut across her back. My goodness this is regrettable creative but hey it made for tv at the time and Different time and place but still you would think after that attack and you know that word being spray painted. Surely she's gonna win. But trish beets are again at wrestlemania because it was the only logical thing to do. Explain church was better. Tricia was better. Church was more popular. Trish had the chops to be able to maintain it in quite frankly chris. She just didn't at that time she was. There was no way that she would have been able to to carry that so Sometimes people beat your ass spray paint you. And then they get away with it and bitchy again. It happens real life gun right. I stir so litas husband kane attacks trish which leads to viscera saving trish from him. What a combo this is trish is gonna get hurt in the storyline..

"In seven minutes and one second lots of garbage can lid shots. They tied garbage cans to all four posts allowing to whipped into them. Stratus did some cain shots. Victoria got bloody nose apparently from being whipped into the steps. Lots of missed moves here including stratus. Doing one of the most messed up. Bulldog head locks in pro wrestling history. Victoria pulled out a fire extinguisher and went to spray the first time. It didn't work the second time it did. And then victoria got the pin after a vertical suplex star and a quarter. I remember this match a lot. Better than dave's review of it though. What did you think. Yeah because it was good did have a botched of spot. It was terrible absolutely but overall. I thought that they went out there and had a hell of a match told a good story. And it's look to people who can guess what sometimes you just don't know that's all i'll say about that paul. Shell nut here on her show precision. Yeah all say right now. The on air relationship between her jeff ends when he's released and we're just move on like it never happened. She wins the women's title back at wrestlemania and drops it back at backlash to jazz eric. Bischoff sets up a match between himself and trish which is a no d. q. If trish wins she gets her championship rematch. And if he wins she has to spend a night with him. Eric wins but linda mcmahon cancels stipulation. Boy this is I guess this is around the same time. Because on on eric's watch we had such creative as the hot lesbian action. Not say it was his creative. Just saying it's what his character did that somebody in creative just think. Oh this is This fits eric's persona hot lesbian action. And hey if i win. You have to spend the night with me. It's like he's a gigolo or something just gigolo it do pete bono the pa. I'm playing gigolo gigolo. Pay river dance sharing schulman. Would this end when i leslie anyway. All the words with. I like like david lee roth. Version of that bass cool in eric bischoff and try and spend the night with trish. This is the type of insight people tune in for. I really i mean goddamn no Eric's eric's character was one of a sleazy you know entrepreneurial take any chance and do anything for any reason. Other for ratings and eric was portrayed as just dastardly sleazeball and and you're saying he's not all those things. Because i know him pretty well and pretty well too. I think you're one of my friends that i put on that one hand. I like it. I don't think the guy like this family as well. You put him on your hand. What are you talking about when you when you if you if you can have friends on one hand and you can count them off a lot of the have to be on your hands not that many people have real true friends. Okay throughout your life through your upside down. So you're middle so your highest or lows your zig zags okay there. Aren't that many people that you can really go count on eric's one of those people that you can count on us of my good friends. That's what i say. Oh well that hate you decided. You wanted to put him on your hand. If you are doing like a ventriloquist actor what that was is already there. I didn't have put it in over there. He's on the hand right now. Right right can't you see him. Shown you hand making talk. Talk on your on that hand. Oh really yeah. It's me and what a rag tag you got me. Air ratio john. Paul nut bill grey invincible. "Tv bob costas eventually interviews vance later and asked them about the segment and one of those More infamous vince interviews on. Hbo in hindsight. This was probably more trouble than it's worth right. I think in hindsight you know you can look at it through whatever vision you wanna look at it. At the time it was a story. It was a story line with petitional characters. And that's what it was. And if you wanna take trying to analyze it make it something more than that. Then that's up to you and that's your prerogative. Talks to me a little bit about Trish when this is being put together the she have any objections or is she in on a gag knows. Hey it's a character who gives us she. Let's go be funny. Yeah trish looked at it. As opportunity to be involved in storyline and to be involved in a story with one of the top heels ever in the industry so yes trish looked at this as a great opportunity to be able to go out. Shore acting jobs and be a part of this mega story. That she was a huge par up we to wrestlemania and triscuits one of the biggest pops when she turns on vance and slaps him in his match against. Shane mcmahon ecorse. Linda tops our pop just by awakening from this coma. Toasts state and tata. She stands up. Does the low blow and man even before she did that. Just linda waking up so to speak and standing up. Wanna pop you know. It's it's easy in hindsight to look back and say oh the shouldn't have did this. I shouldn't into that but this big payoff here made it all worth it. I'm talking about when you go to the when you take the story all the way to the end. And then you see how. Tricia was helping linda in bringing lender round and how they were both in on it because of the horrible things that mr mcmahon the character had done to them and the get that come up in that moment it was it was beautiful. Always go back and guys wanna hear you know you're talking about a road warrior pot. What's been real folks. let's talk about. Linda mcmahon pop because that was definitely in that was one of those moments of holy shit. Were just get a smile on your face go. Yeah they dug that one really a pretty special moment and we should just add context to this in a span of a year. Tricia gone for managing test and albert. To being part of vince versus shane at wrestlemainia. Pretty big time rise..

"So i i wasn't as involved day to day with creative at that time so it was. It was something. I'm sure that one of those came up with did you do any of their Their pre types together. I did a few but not not a whole lot because a lot of talent relations kind of winding that up at the time so the creative is As a reminder. This is early. A one and vince is quote unquote cheating on linda. And it's going to lead to some some hurt feelings with stephanie. Of course stephanie is gonna try to punish trish and put her in matches with jacqueline And then that builds to stephanie versus trish no way out two thousand one meltzer would say stephanie pen. Trish in eight minutes and thirty seconds. This match was a miracle. Vince setting. Set it up telling regal you know what to do. A regal had no clue what that meant strategy took all the real bumps the moves. They did like clotheslines day. Dt's and power bombs all decent it at no point looked any worse than china and at some points may have been better they did the requisite stuff with tricia shorts being pulled off showing your thong panties. A no shirts were pulled off. Regal came out and tripped referee. Jimmy cordera and put stratus on top and then put mcmahon's leg on the ropes and inform. The ref stratos was mad. And slaps regal regal gabriel neck breaker and left allowing man to get the pin after the match. Vince said he wanted to tag match with he. And trish against regal and stephanie two and a quarter stars. I do love the creative events telling regal you know what to do but regal not knowing what to do so i'm gonna make i'm helping one girl but then immediately help her out of it. It was fun like okay. I'll do something for both. Because i don't know who we met their his daughter or his quote unquote love interest. Nice little twist there. It really was that to me. I think it was a fun time in. It's kind of wear in many respects. The creative took a turn into a little more fun and having situations like this with a lot more story depth into it and again i go back and our credit guys like works and blonde show. That were doing a lot of the creative at that time. Well what's next. Is the more uncomfortable segment of our show today. in hindsight. Probably not the best decision creatively Didn't age well but different time as we like to say it's the famous promo or maybe infamous promo or vince. Mcmahon is Yelling at trish to take your top off and bark like a dog and of course we're doing this. Oh just add context. Vince is the bad guy. Here we want people to boom and that's a pretty sure our way to make that happen in hindsight. Maybe not the best idea no this character. Mr mcmahon also have to remember over twenty years ago You go back on it. Done age well at all no. I'll eat year watches show succession on hbo. Absolutely i do. Okay well there. There's the scene where they're in the castle. Anti has everybody you know. Come on go over their up wrong. Answer go over there and get down like a dog or whatever in in all that shit it. It's he's evil and he's trying to tv. We'll and he's manipulating showing his power over everyone. He wants to humiliate her wants to humiliate or wants to make her pay for whatever wrong. In his mind he proceeded that she did as the character so it was A lot great storytelling and again in particular. That same not doesn't age well because it needs an awful lot of context around it for people to understand. How did they get here. You look at it all by itself. Oh my god that's terrible when you look at it in context and you look at the end in you. See the happy ending at the end. Then you understand if you're keeping up with wrestling these days on social media specifically twitter and it feels like the..

"I'm i'm fascinated by this. No nudity clause had. She seen where you girl i mean. I don't understand that taught me through that. This is that something that she did with. W c w Says she's a wcw pay per view inside or is that what by the time she had signed with us says she never from dave meltzer. So is probably factually was about playboy. Or because y'all were asking miss jackie to take her top off and he had taken her off or yeah doubt there was a no nudity. Clause probably said i don't want to do that. I don't wanna do playboy or something like that but who would have Helped push trish to go. Train with ron I think he called him etchison. Well that is named damage. I know that he listens to show But i'm just you know you called in that. So i'm just gonna lean into that champion. Sure i get it tom. So tell me though is to she find ron on her own or is it people in toronto or who directing our year. Toronto wasn't your recommendation. As far as you know it wasn't wbz influenced senator on. That's what i'm trying to. Pin down. probably was because romney was local in toronto and trained edge christian and have a good reputation. Are you getting updates from ron. I mean not you personally but is is he sort of calling in like we would here later in developmental from over w there would be reports coming back and forth about how folks are progressing to get anything like that for trish. No right in workforce Do you remember how the The whole plan came together with putting her with test and albert. The rumor innuendo is that she was pissed or at least one of the ideas from creative was what if she was a porn star. And what if. She was paired with valvoline. Ass- never heard that so. How did the whole thing with test and albert come together. it was test first of all From the canadian connection in the role from same place it felt like okay and then with albert test and albert were team just thought that god give him some panache give them a beautiful woman to come out with them and have people look at them so it was it was a pretty is a pretty handsome para think when you look at it. Should they be us on sunday night. Heat march nineteenth two thousand. She's going to start scouting test and albert during their matches and the next night on monday night raw. Tna is formed Quote stratus announced her new tna team her delivery of the interview. All of a sudden made such lucid talkers as sable bb. Terry look like the rock her lines. She was giving or lame to begin with even with fair warning. No words can describe how bad her performance was. of course that's meltzer's opinion man Chap me up though where you do you think she was nervous. I mean that's understandable right if you've been a big fan of this and now you're under the bright lights it's live tv. Probably a sold out crowd. It's a lot of pressure for a newcomer. Sure it is. I don't care who you are if it's the first time that you're doing it. You're all worldwide television global television. And you're giving a microphone so all the things that you have in your mind and your head of exactly how you're going to do no matter how many times that you've rehearsed it in front of the mirror. Now relax eight your own pal. We're live so yeah. I'm sure there are a lot of bugs. It wasn't the greatest problem on the whole wide world But she was green. They all were when when they come back through the curtain. Is vince trying or someone. They're trying to encourage them because they know when it was a stinger right. And you don't want somebody who you have a lot of hope for to get discouraged too quickly right. Yeah it's totally a encouragement thing and trying to help them get better telling them what they did right and what they did wrong and just encourage him tell him what to do. "The rumor is tom. Oh no no. I didn't call you the wrong name. Confused with another guy. I know tom prichard too. And i was just confused on different last name. You would have gone with bruce swayze or somebody like that. I don't know swazi. But i know tom prichard. I'll get him on the phone if you want. Okay good The rumor innuendo as the trish was also talking the wcw. Did you hear that. No i i never heard that. Show that the same people that went to the fitness shows from the bbc. W probably were interested in trish as well and she probably went them looking for any way to get into the business so that wouldn't surprise me at all. But i never heard that. I know you know we're going to talk about how going to become one of the bona fide. Wb hall of fame in ring performance for. She comes in the valet at first. Was that always the plan. Because sort of I dunno hinted around that maybe the hesitation or the the hold up in the recruitment period was. You weren't sure how to train her but from a value standpoint. That's a that's a lot easier deal the train than an in ring performer. It was also a way to get her into the mix Because in order to trainer if we wanted to bring her over to the states to trainer you would have to go through the green card issues and immigration. What have you to bring arenas of performer. And bring her in as about late. That got her into the system and got her going a lot faster. The deal was that we would introduce her this way she would train. And she did train. With ron hutchison not be confused with ronnie etchison And that's how she learned how to work. It was on the job training. Here's a ride up from December of ninety nine fitness model. Trish stratus who was backstage w. mayhem pay per view and worked on the lol..

"Well hey hey thompson. In europe this need to update with bruce bridge. Hey bruce out the hell are you doing guises beautiful that you're huntsville alabama. Let me tell you about the sunshine. Throughout can barely seema is for the rays of the sun. Well we're talking about one of the bright spots of wwe today. One of the founding members of tna ladies and gentlemen it's trish stratus. This is the episode that we've been trying to do for a long long time. Bruce and i'm excited. Oh so very excited. It's finally here. it's trish. I'm gonna need your help on this part though patricia and my saying this right strategic strategies born on december eighteenth nineteen seventy five in toronto ontario canada. Lot of great wrassling talent has come through. Wwe from canada. Thanks something in the water up there. What's going on up there. How do they keep. What else are they going to do. You know this is the second week in the in a row that you've made me disconnect idea and allow canadian and you look some of the greatest stressors that have ever set foot in a wrestling ring anywhere in the world. Come from canadian. No doubt about it. I think trish is a longtime wrestling. Fancy grew up loving hulk hogan and randy savage who didn't and the first mention of trish in wrestling folklore. I believe is In an interview she had with off the record with michael landsberg. In january of ninety nine meltzer would recap this and the observer back the end that she was a fitness model but she was interviewed about joining the wbf valet. How and win the trish. I get on the wwe's radar well in a couple of different ways She was a fitness model. And some of the guys that would do. The fitness shows would always come back well. Hey there's this girl she really wants to be a wrestler. She's looking to train great. Look maybe it'd be interested in I remember billy gunn rain car. Toomey ron simmons. Obviously very athletic and with without a doubt had a passion for the business without ever be one day in it. She was convinced that that's what she wanted to do. I think it's cool when people Have success another areas of their life but their passions wrestling and they come over. Was this a long recruitment or was she just itching to get the opportunity. I was longer recruitment to get us on board more than anything. I mean vince for years and years has loved. You know this look right now. "As a kick. I loved the hair and all of that But sarah gets the win but like mandy. Rose just comes out like mainly rose just shows up trying to look like trish stratus on I don't know what dave was. She was and nothing is. This is not the first time that she has shown up like this. Because i swear like happens she shows up. She's wearing like the same color palette as chris on her debut and then undoubtedly someone posts a picture of. Oh man rose. And i'm going to pull this up though if you're a youtuber person and watching us here you get of seeing this but basically like the thing that keeps happening with mandy is that she has this thing. She dresses a little bit like trish and they make the comparison. So here's here's mandy for doing the trish thing and honestly do you see the trish stratus comparison. Because i don't actually remember. I thought what i remember trish coming out with was it was a cowboy hat but it was. It was silver but it was a bikini the bikini top long pant silver jacket long silver jacket and the cowboy hat i thought what do you think mandy was trying to look like trish. I think she's just another hot blonde. Who just showed up. What is that a half jacket. Okay she has like she wearing. I don't know i've loved question. Not a very practical outfit now with the shoes eater. Yeah so if you're watching the two versions can see us. Pull up the photo but it was really weird because we are talking about inex- t before we get into like the the meat of the You know of raw and and the Money in the bank card but this other on tuesday. They're trying to surprise us. Mario element of surprise that clearly. We've all been looking for so when we see rustler's like get over one week and then released the next week that's just. Inside a Workshop Photo Critique

"Our first online workshop wrapped up this weekend. It was a combination of two weeks of thud of projects where everyone brought their images to the table to share on friday. And saturday i find these discussions fascinating. And i thought you might want to sit in on three short critiques to get a feel for what happens at these events. I think you're really going to be interested in the conversation. And i hope you enjoy the show regardless if you attend a physical workshop that i lead or an online one at the core of the workshop is the ability for the participants to share their images with the other participants in be able to talk about them in a very positive and supportive way. Now the reason why. I think this is so important because this is something. That's so difficult for us to get outside of the photography world in other words you know we take pictures and we show them to our family show them to friends and we generally speaking get very positive feedbacks but not the level of detail or not the real interest or in all honesty not the knowledge of photography that were looking for. Therefore it's hard for us to really know how good our stuff is. We know as good right. We know our pictures are good but which ones are better than others and most importantly why. Why are they better. That's what these photography workshops give everyone who attends and i just think it is wonderful experience to be a part of i just love sitting there in facilitating looking at and commenting on and listening to what others say about photos. And i was thinking well. If you haven't attended one of these workshops you might be curious as to how that process runs. How does it work. Well i'm going to share that with you today. I'm going to take you inside. Our recent eastern sierra online photography workshop. And let you sit in on three discussions. That actually happened at this workshop. I recorded them. And i have them ready for you. And i'm going to set each one up individually let you listen to it and then we'll go to the next at the end of this. You have a much better idea. And i hope we'll also have enjoyed the conversation and just have a moment to revel in hanging out with other photographers and talking-shop because that's really what this is about and that's what the events themselves are about. So let's get started with the first one in this conversation travis. One of the photographers attended the workshop. Shares one of his images from the rule of thirds assignments. So we have assignments that we do leading up to the event and then at the event itself we share three pictures from each assignment and we talk about those so the waiter starts out is that travis will set up his shot and basically he framed a shot as the landscape shop the mountain in the backgrounding in he framed the shot using a tree and offense and all this kind of stuff. And he'll describe that for you. But what's interesting about this. And one of the reasons why i thought you might be fascinated by as well is so travis had an attendee was trying to satisfy the rule of thirds of and the way that assignment work is that you could either do. A rule of thirds shot or an anti rule. A third shot if you went. Anti rule of thirds. Then you had to describe why you went anti right. You could do it either way but you is. What will use the same basketball. You have to call bank right if you bank in a long shot you have to call it. i otherwise this is viewed as a lucky shot. Okay so you have to call your shot here if it's real or anti roll thirds and you know much to my delight and and travis seem to really enjoy this as well. People are things in the shot that maybe he wasn't emphasizing but they were fascinated with so. I'm not gonna do anymore. Setup here i'm just gonna let you sit in so this is the first one travis talks about rule of thirds and one of the photos. He shares all right so now we're on. Rule of third stratus thirds. I was using basically the fence rail in post. That was the rule of thirds part. There's also some of the ground slopes and stuff that you can see behind the fence posts and stuff is actually a a view of one of our local landmark peaks. One of the fourteen years. That is nearby. I mean you got the nice framing which is actually in another in another third here. The foreground for you know one way to increase the depth of a shot kizzee shots. If you just shoot the mountain you know this well yourself just shoot them out and then it becomes very flat. Very two dimensional does and so this is a really good way to add some depth to the shot by finding a foreground element that you wanna work with.

What is geo-engineering and how could it help tackle climate change?

"It sounds like something out of a movie system of satellites controller with a movie with a really big disaster detention for catastrophic weather events global scale a general store but the idea of manipulating our climate in order to survive is a real thing it's being developed by scientists right now and it's called Solar Geo Geo Engineering. The problem is it's risky I'm Gabrielle. Sierra and this is why it matters today should we dim the sky a dire warning this morning from climate experts a UN panel says governments around the world must take rapid action to curb rising temperatures plummet. Climate is now changing faster than at any point in the history of modern civilization very liveability. Our planet is extinct not in ten years twenty years thirty years but right now so solar measuring is the idea that humans might deliberately liberally alter the climate somehow to change the energy balance of the earth the reduce some of the climate change that comes from accumulated carbon dioxide. They can't undo all the environmental risks of carbon dioxide Maybe it won't even undo hardy. Any of them. We really don't know very well but it best it reduces some of them mm-hmm. That's David Keith. He's a professor of both engineering and public policy at Harvard. He's also one of the world's leading researchers on Geo Engineering so I've had a big onstage argument with Al Gore and factors did few years ago. where he I think his underlying position was that it was dangerous? Even talk about Solar Jewish assuring because it would destroy emissions cuts to me the worst way to handle this is to keep the kind of Tabu intact to not bring us is out in the open to keep not talking about it and then to get to a situation. Where even if we don't talk about it some country moves forward to deployment and we have under crisis to make decisions both about the technology and about governance? Today people are starting to talk about Solar Geo engineering a little bit and if you want to know what it is you have have to start at the beginning with climate change. So here goes the most important driver of climate changes energy use fossil fuels coal and gas and oil when they're burned to provide us all the energy that allows one hundred world to work. They put carbon dioxide in the air and that increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere makes the atmosphere try or heat and it tends to warm up the climate. A good way to understand this is to think of carbon in the atmosphere as a huge blanket covering birth it traps in the heat the more carbon in our atmosphere the hotter it gets under the blanket and that causes all sorts of changes so the most obvious one is warming warming but it will say melting ice sheets and chicken race sea levels will increase the intensity of extreme storms and rainfall events. All all those collectively will produce a series of human environmental impacts and that's where solar geo engineering comes in. But how does it work. Give me just like a step by step of that process. Sure so in a very basic way we wanna get aerosols of some sort into the upper grabs fear. Probably with specially designed planes. This is achieved. SUCCI is the research governance and public engagement fellow. Hello at the Union of concerned scientists. They would admit these aerosols which then stay in the atmosphere for on average of a year or two and then we would need to continue that process again and again to maintain the temperature. We have reduced so aerosol like hairspray basically but a different different chemical compound. Okay so these planes would fly up super high release chemical compound that would then make a cloud essentially but ah more dispersed layer that would cover the whole Globe and then do what and so that layer would reflect sunlight. The idea idea here. Is that when we bounce sunlight back into space we reduce the amount of incoming heat. So you'd have to keep doing this over and have to keep doing this has it's been tested Ed. This has not been tested. The only test we have is a natural analogue of a volcano. So the the most recent volcano that exploited that got aerosols into the stratosphere was Mount Pinatubo Nineteen ninety-one and we notice that there was about a half degree of cooling that lasted for a few months so people just look at that and they were like. Oh what's do that. I think people like. Oh that's really interesting. I think we should look into that further and then that that research led into this space as a potential way to help cool the planet. We can't just wait for volcanoes to erupt so scientists are trying to figure out synthetic ways to do the same thing and aerosols in the stratosphere are just one of the options there other ideas of manipulating cirrus clouds ways as you could reduce the amount of these thin high clouds which act as heat trappers. puzzles to modify Rian stratus clouds. Kind of Lok Lousy off say say the coast of Seattle to make them a little more effective and finally at least in principle you could imagine humanity constructing some kind of reflective shield in space between between the earth and the sun aside from these methods. There's another one that involves recreating woolly mammoths. Yep you heard that right woolly mammoths. Another plan involves spreading. Sand oversee is to keep it from melting but the one method. That's getting the most attention. And the one we're talking about today is atmospheric aerosols aerosols and a big part of this conversation is risk. Scientific risks are not willing understood. We've done a lot of modeling. The space face in there is general ideas of how it could affect precipitation or extreme weather but it's not a robust understanding and especially at you know a small enough enough scale for different countries to know how it might affect them. So what are the chances that messing with our climate this way will have side effects and unintended consequences on says it's one hundred percent certain that something you do with this scale we'll have side effects an unintended consequences. Anyone who thinks that this is some magic fix that will perfectly GLI reduced climate risks and work exactly the way we expect anybody who thinks that is not. I think we can do lots of research and we could learn a lot but at the end there will still be lots of unknowns. Are there any known risks already. Oh lots of known risks so it could deplete. The ozone layer could change the circulation the stratosphere it could cause air pollution. Because we're talking about adding aerosol so the atmosphere we know those are pollutants by blocking sunlight. It could reduce crop productivity. There is a big range of risks for each of the risks. I said they're now quite a few scientific papers. Have begun to really look at those quantitatively and for each the rest. I said it looks like based on early research that the actual scale of those risks is pretty small compared to the benefits of reduced harms through the reduction climate change. But I wouldn't leap inclusion that we know that the risks are small compared to the benefits. I think we can say will call on its is. There's enough reason into believe it could dramatically reduce human. And if I'm honest is century that it deserves serious research so what. What are the chances that some regions will suffer more from the consequences of Geo engineering than others because if someone just decides that they're going to do it it's not just gonNa Hover over one country it will affect the entire world so we know for sure? There are ways that you ensuring could be that were produced hugely equal destructive destructive impacts so for example you only did it in the northern hemisphere and reflected sunlight in the northern hemisphere. Put ourselves in there and not in the Southern Hemisphere. You would shift the band of rainfall and the tropics with big big impacts. We know for sure that would be destructive. The evidence is that if it's done in a way that is globally uniform. You aim to have roughly the same because radio forcing same amount of sunlight being reflected almost almost everywhere north to South East to west. If you do that and if you do it in a way where you're not doing too much you're using it to take the edge off the the risk the pain gene for Co two in the air emit circumstance. The evidence for current models is that actually no major regions are left worse off in all regions have significantly reduce describe at risk. So you just do a little bit Geo Engineering. Not you know a ton. Well yes. The dose makes the poison

What will a new CEO do for 3D printing company Stratasys?

"The news is there's a new. CEO It strategists. I wonder if it will make much difference as to what's going on. Their stock is up two point. Three two percent as we record word at one thing about strategists you know we we like to Moan and Groan about how their Their desktop hobby level three deep renters have kind of fallen by the wayside. They haven't done anything innovative new or worth buying At that market level for quite awhile the the maker Bot method which came out last year is basically a replacement for the MOJO. Which means it's not really for the hobby the market it's for the professional market? The folks who just want to push the button and walk away and get work done a high quality. FDM Printer but just enough damn printer and it's primarily ABS. So it means it's got a heat soak the product. It's gotTA use their filament. Not Something I would recommend. You know I'm I'm employed at a big tech company now and they come to me for consulting on Three D. Printing and they've been asking me what printers should we buy next six year. We've got all this money. We'd like to a couple of FDA machines for clients who come in and need quick parts and the last printer on their list was the maker Bot method. There are a bunch on their list that I deleted right away also maker. Bot method wasn't even on the list unfortunately for them the the stratus is this part of the company. Though is still a really strong company from a technical standpoint. I'd say their their biggest problem is the cost of ownership of one of these systems is pretty high not and they're not FDM they're they're polly jet systems are really probably the the top of the three reprinting world right now but an object printed with one of these systems. It's values quite high. So you really can't use them for any form of production I'm there purely for prototypical kinds of thing very specialized high end one off medical production arte art at work and it's only going to be used once Because the cost of these items make them way too expensive for production use so from that perspective. They're not going to be on the growth part of the market. Unfortunately and I think that's a problem and I think they need to figure that out cost of ownership Russian must go way down to bring the systems like the object into the production world. So we'll see we'll see what this fellow does on. He's he's got a PhD in economics. So he should be add up his spreadsheet there we'll see what

Puerto Rico in state of emergency after most powerful quake in over 100 years

"In Puerto Rico a state of emergency has been declared after a six point four magnitude earthquake struck in the early hours of yesterday morning people across the island woke up to find crumbled walls destroyed homes also downed power lines this is the latest and most powerful of a series of quakes to shake the region now Porter Rico has of course lived through hurricanes but the governor won the Vasquez put this in perspective she said when it comes to the earthquake the island had not seen this kind of emergency in more than a century Louis stratus is reporting on this in San Juan he's a producer with the NPR podcasts rodeo on the line today and joins me now hi Louise hi so K. first tell me what it felt like when this earthquake hit yes so I I was actually awake around four thirty in the morning yesterday when my own building starting to shake pretty violently I haven't lived through something like that before or not and put a Rico and it was it was a big scare I mean and and what kind of damage did it because as you started to to see what what impact this has well it end I'm in San Juan in the capital city in the northeast of the island so there was a major damage reported here thankfully most of the damage was concentrated along the southern coast of the island and one thing you have to understand David is that this earthquake comes at the heels of delete tremors that have been occurring in put a Rico for over a week and a half now so that adds to the you know in security that a lot of people here feel as you know we're we're accustomed to hurricanes but but earthquakes are kind of a new thing for most Porter Ricans and and tell me about where the worst damage was what part of the island and and what you've been learning about how bad it was yes and so a lot of the damage was concentrated around the town of why I need phone see and ya go three towns in the southern coast of the island local authorities confirmed the death of a seventy three year old man in the town of Ponce and other towns like why any yeah were especially hard hit several houses and buildings crumbled at least one public school plummeted to the ground and some area hospitals had to be evacuated and we've been experiencing a prolonged blackout after the earthquake which which has left most of the island residents without electricity I mean you mention that they're going to an earthquake is different from a hurricane but I imagine for a lot of people on the island that there there have to be flashbacks to to what you went through it hurricane Maria and and twenty seventeen yeah for many the situation here brings in on welcome flashback to the devastation caused by hurricane Maria and two thousand seventeen I mean and that experience left an estimated three thousand deaths and a power outage that lasted from three to five months for most residents here on the island and also a lingering sense that both the local government and federal authorities were not prepared to handle that disaster do people feel like their government and I mean both at that the local or federal level are prepared this time I am I I don't think so I think there's a sense that would reduce infrastructure took a really hard hit with hurricane Maria and that there's a sense that it's not ready to handle a major catastrophe right now Louis stratus is a producer for the NPR podcasts rodeo Villante reporting from San Juan
