How Mark Zuckerberg Bought the 2020 Election
"A new story from the federalist says the 2020 election wasn't stolen, it was bought by Mark Zuckerberg. This is a true story of the account of how Mark Zuckerberg privatized the government's voter registration and vote counting for Democrats in 2020. The founding fathers always believed that if there was power there must be a check and a balance against that power. What is our check and balance against Mark Zuckerberg, spending $400 million during the 2020 election, Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, spent hundreds of millions of dollars to turn out likely democratic voters. But this wasn't traditional political spending William Doyle from the federalist rights. He funded a targeted private takeover of government election, operations by nominally non partisan, but demonstrably ideological nonprofit organizations. This was done through the center for technology and civic life CTCL. We've talked about this in great detail on the show, but this new story from the federalist is shocking. We talk we are always under, we are always accused. You are a threat to democracy as we did on the show previously, just type in threat to democracy and then go to news the Pandora papers are a threat to democracy. Trump is a threat to democracy, Bloomberg, how to save democracy. New York Times had a Conor how to counter pro Trump extremism and threat to democracy. Now, we are a republic not a democracy. But if you read this story, who's the real threat that democracy? The guy playing golf at Mar-a-Lago? Or the $420 million spent by Mark Zuckerberg, who put money into local government official races, and it came with strings attached.
Mark Zuckerberg Spent $400 Million to 'Improve' Election Infrastructure
"There folks I'm talking to Mark. Hemingway, AKA Molly Hemingway. Mark, you mentioned Zuckerberg. He spent 400 million dollars to do something. The question is, was that wrong? Was that illegal? Can we blame him? What went So, in this case, Mark Zuckerberg spent in excess of $400 million on what was supposed to be improving the election infrastructure in America. Ostensibly, these were largely COVID grants like they were supposed to be going to the pay for PPE for election workers and things like that. In reality, he funded this money went through liberal groups where there were strings attached. And all of a sudden these liberal groups, this wasn't just like outside spending or liver groups were going in to try and have an impact on election. These people were embedded in election offices with public officials that were supposed to be bipartisan or non partisan. And as a result, you know, Zuckerberg's own people, essentially, we're doing everything from designing ballots to having access to state voter data is this illegal. No, and that's the crazy thing about it. This is like so insane that anyone would have tolerated this that no one ever even thought to pass any laws against it. You know, right now there's a bill in Congress, for instance, where they want to stop the private funding of deploying of National Guard troops at the border, which is something a bunch of rich people in Texas did recently. And I think there are, I agree with that. I think there are certain functions that are so important that should not be funded privately because of the risk of tainting them. And this is a classic example of that when but Democrats and by the way, this money was by Mark Zuckerberg was deployed in such a way that was extremely partisan, for instance, you know, Trump counties in Pennsylvania received 59 cents in Zuckerberg money per voter, whereas, you know, Biden counties averaged 2.85 per voter in terms of the money they got from

Neil Oliver: The Strongest Smell of Fear Is Coming From Our Leaders
"And way back with free mock eulogist and present new. All last thing. We've got a minute and a half two minutes left of your time. We're seeing some incredible truly exciting things happening. In america parents even some teachers standing up to the bullies at school. Board meetings with seeing a push on things like the bigotry of critical race theory. Tell us that something nice. Something positive is happening in the land of churchill as well honestly said i think it is. I gave him a monologue on on on saturday night. About fear about the about the about the way in which i think has been deployed against people but we wanted the point i was making was i detect for the first time. I think that the strongest smell of fear is coming not from the people but from the leaders you you described as emperors who are starting to realize that that griffin republican weakening right. Because we are the main you know those eight billion people alive at the same time on the planet today. You know the elites who seek to have as dancing on strings like puppets just a few thousand people and a single tweak. Single stick can be snapped. A bundle of sticks gathered together is unbreakable however if people are feeling in their own in their own situations in communities even their own families if the feeling alone. You're not alone. You are in an invisible alliance with thousands hundreds of thousands millions of people all around the world who do think like you. They haven't had the spotlight they haven't had control of the microphone so the faces on not being seen the voices are not being held but they which is to see we are

"Video in which appear that truly monk to you as a as a conservative coming out of the the hollywood closet was the afc one gives just a little synopsis of that video. Y you think it resonated so viral. Yeah i mean. I think with a lot of journalists. You know. I don't know if i'd consider by salvage journalists but a lot of times. You had just have a confluence of information. That kind of happens at once. You're so reading the tea leaves. You're looking at what's going on. You're asking the right questions right time and in my case i noticed that. Ao see in interviews. Would you know she was. She obviously. Didn't know what she was talking about. She had no idea anything about politics and yet occasionally she would come out with some historical racial injustice. Like redlining. something. I hadn't heard of before she brought it up and so she'd go and talk about these minute details and like throw out names of people historically that. I never heard the names of that. Were in her mind civil rights heroes or something like that. And i'm thinking and how the hell does she know these minute. Details about american history and yet when asked about her opinion on something like the israeli palestine conflict. What the hell. She's talking about so obviously she's being coached right. Obviously there's people who know what they're talking about and saying you know say they say they say this an interview and presumably also telling her how to vote and you know how to you know giving her legislation to get past that and so i started looking into it. I actually went to see pack. And i ran into a senator. I don't remember who it was. And i said. Hey who do you think is Is is pulling the strings of ao
Lindsey Graham Defends Horseback Border Patrol Agents, Calls for 'Incompetent' Mayorkas to Resign
"You know they put. They put fences around capital but the borders wide open to the tune of two million criminal immigrants to this invasion thus far and as democrats report from the border but twenty five percent of them have the wuhan and they're not tested and they're just laughing at you knuckleheads putting on your man. Who put your mask ron. I'm going to the supermarket really a. Why don't you pretend the supermarkets the emmys or barack hussein's party or the border senator. Lindsey graham was talking with show favourite martha mccallum yesterday about the disasters of this administration. Play that clip. Give me real quick quick. So all i can say is what biden has done is he surrendered the border to drug cartels cody's and human smugglers. He surrendered afghanistan to terrace. The taliban and al qaeda in a major terrorist attack is gonna come our way because between the combination of allowing afghanistan to fall back into terrorist hands and have a completely open and broken border here in the united states is just a matter of time that the terrorists come through that border to kill a bunch of us. And here's what. I want to say to the american people. The man on horseback is there to protect your family. The people rushing our border have put us all under siege. And i think the most inhumane things going on right now in america is that the men and women of the border patrol of been completely abandoned. Them god's scapegoat and treated like dirt by elected officials in the democratic party and this administration. So i'm not unhappy. I am pissed secretary. Marcus needs to resign. He's completely incompetent. The border is not closed. It has been surrendered. A man senator. Lindsey graham and bali needs if if if the democrats have the lord and the constitution and the love of america may orcas would be out. He's not incompetent. He's doing what he's being ordered to do. It's you got gotta look up the chain. The handful of people controlling those strings on biden's ira- ira- iraq. You could practically his job moving. They need a little more. Author Sabrina Strings on the Racial Origins of Fat Phobia
"To the podcast. Sabrina thank you on so excited to have you so tell us about how you started to explore issues of body image and wait specifically for women of color while this is actually almost like a family legacy for me. My grandmother was born in rural georgia during the late nineteen thirties and so she was growing up the jim crow era and lived in a racially segregated community as part of the great migration in nineteen sixty. She traveled west and at that time for the first time in her life she lived and worked around white women and she was amazed by the number of white women diets. Seems like what is this. You know sort of like a typical black grandmother fashioned. By the time. I came of age in the one thousand nine hundred ninety s. When i was in high school she was still troubling over. This question like what is going on here. She would even ask me like why women dying to be thin. And i was like sixteen years old but it wasn't until about ten years later when i was working in a predominantly black community in san francisco baby hunters points. I met women of color who were hiv positive. And we're attaining an hiv medication adherence clinic where i was a researcher who refuse to take their medications for fear of gaining weight. And i thought oh. Wow you know this. What was clearly a phenomenon that was mostly about middle class white women in the nineteen sixties arguably even through the ninety s. Clearly by the early dots was something. That was impacting women of color as well so i wanted to be able to dig further into this question of why is it so important for women of all racial ethnic backgrounds at this point to feel like they need to discipline themselves and maintain a particular. "Kind of act. Sure protests voice your opinion but do it in a respectful way in a place that is kind and respectful to others can ask you just a bit the broader system We're here in nova scotia and we're heading to muscovite harbor to talk to people about the impossibility in many ways of finding a family physician finding primary care at the beginning of that healthcare system and this is put huge strain on the larger system. Not going to draw you into politics. But the government flipped in many people's eyes because of the concerns that people had around the state of health care in this province. How large are the cracks in the system here. I like nova scotia like other provinces. Our healthcare system is under very much under stress where we're at full capacity in her hospital even without cova we do have difficulties around access To care but they're complex problems. We need understanding. you know. there's no simple solution and people who are looking for a simple answer. It's not there and i'm public health guy. I always say well we need to do a better job of keeping healthy people healthy in the first place. If all we do is try to meet the demand for care we will never ever get out in front of that. We have to invest in. And it's things like affordable housing Help early early years experience for for children addressing race racism and all the impacts of that those are fundamental to actually creating a healthier society which then allows us to actually have created an affordable public health care system. It's not just about how get care tomorrow. Yes i get that we need to deal with that but we need to think longer term and bigger picture on the solutions. So no matter who i mean. This time. Next week fingers crossed. There will be a government if all the votes are counted and that could be a long process as well but no matter who forms that go government. What do you think they're priority needs to be in terms of thinking about preserving enhancing fixing strengthening the public healthcare system that so many people in this country hold dear that there's going to be a lot of pressure about the the level of federal investments. But i think that and you get into the debate about you know constantly what's healthcare. I think there's a space for the federal government to articulate. What i talked about that all the things that. What's the federal government's role in in in dealing with an inequities Dealing with trying to solve the affordable housing crisis so they can lead in kind of many social policy areas which have very direct and and impacts on on on the health and communities which then allows us to healthier people. Healthy communities gives us the space to say. How do we then create a healthcare system. That is publicly. funded and affordable. It's been a busy eighteen months. What's one thing that you have learned over. The course of this pandemic i've learnt The and dedication of my colleagues in healthcare. I've experienced unheard of so many stories about kindness and compassion. Which is i use. The those are my three cs about carrying community and common sense. But i've really pushed at. How people have responded in so many ways positive ways about looking out for each other as we get through the difficult time in the pandemic and that that will stay with me. We'll let you get back to fighting the pandemic. I really appreciate you taking some time to talk to us this morning. Thank you thank you very much. It's a pleasure trip to musket gas. It's going to be on the eastern shore. September nova scotia. September into the middle of october is like the is the best time. It's usually like this but it's not super high. Then that's my conversation. Yesterday we talked to robert strang chief medical officer of health for nova scotia. Yes indeed september is beautiful. Here we went down to muscovite yesterday and to Martinique beach which is just stunning With the ocean and the sun shining it was lovely. We're off to moscow at harbor later today to speak about the challenges of rural health care that will be the focus of an entire special program on the current for more. What It Means to Understand Your Power
"To recap last week. I talked about the first step in having resilience. Which is this ability to bounce back from hardship to stand back up and go again. What does it mean to be resilient and to be strong and to keep going last week. I talked about the idea that for me. I think the first step is making peace with what is and the way that we make. Peace is through our mindset and the way that we look at things so that's what last week's episode was about. Go dig in and start there but assuming you've already consumed that one this week. I wanna talk about power. I wanna to talk about your personal power from a few different perspectives. Because resilient really is about string and nobody comes into this world resilient you come into this world completely dependent on other people to keep you alive in fact my friend. Tom and i were just talking about this. And it was in tuesday's episodes if you didn't listen to my interview with tom bill. You go check this out. He talks about this idea that humans are the only animal that come into the world with just zero skills and ability to keep themselves alive. Think about a horse horse comes into the world and twenty minutes later. It's walking we come into the world and we can't do anything and if you're designed in such a way we have to presuppose that there's a reason for that yes. We are much more complex than we can think and we can speak and we can do things that animals can't do and so it's easy to think that it takes longer to evolve and become functioning human beings because we have more things to evolve but you could also look at it another way and ask if there's something more at play than just the facts that your wiring more complex maybe what's at play is the reminder that we always have the ability to grow and evolve.
The First Appearance of the Comic Strip "Blondie"
"Day was monday. September eighth nineteen thirty. A new comic strip appeared in american newspapers introducing readers to blondie buca duke better known today as blondie bump stead or just plain. Blondie although personally. I would never give up a maiden name as good as boop boop bum. Stead is such a downgrade the strips creator m b. chick young had dreamed of being a cartoonist since childhood his nineteen nineteen high school yearbook contained. Some of his earliest drawings which were signed with his nickname chicken from which he would later derive his pen name. Before the blondie strip debuted in nineteen thirty young had tried to launch several female driven comics with little success. One reason for the failure of such titles as beautiful babb and dumb. Dora was young's penchant for portraying his female leads as insipid and flighty. He initially followed the same chauvinist pattern for blondie perpetuating the tire dumb blonde stereotype. In the early strips gradually young was able to rein. In this impulse and blonde. He began to appear just as smart as the string of boyfriends vying for her affections one. Such suitor was the playboy. Dag would bump stead. Despite the strips title. Many readers are probably more familiar with blonde. Dis future husband. Who's bumbling antics tend to provide much of the comics humor but in the early days dag would was a far cry from his current incarnation as a sandwich loving working man instead he was originally portrayed as the son of a wealthy railroad tycoon. The comic strip struggled initially but once young decided to have dag would and blondie fall in love. His readership began to climb.
Steps to Avoid Injury When You Aren't Training for an Event
"So i to quote just love to run and not training for anything and we have similar mileage. Although my weekday runs about six miles in weekday want weekend ones or eight to ten. So the three things that i credit to keeping my injuries at bay is foam. Roll nearly every morning. I do dynamic drills post. Run that i kind of probably talk about far too much on this show and i strength train them two hours a week. I string train Twice a week for an hour so Yeah those are. That's what i do with that kind of mainframe of running to keep me. you know. Not limping down the stairs and away from any. Pt's so what are what are your thoughts. Do i mean. I think that's really smart right. I think foam rolling is awesome. Staying strong is the second stool second leg on that stool and and the third one is. You know making sure that you're properly warmed up and cooled down at the beginning of a run. So i think you've got it there. Sarah i mean i don't know if she has niggles like i would say that might just be her body just talking to her a little bit and i mean that doesn't necessarily mean that she needs to go faster. I mean we can talk about that in a second. But i mean other things that she can do to switch it up. That might that without going faster. Are things like maybe going on a trail. Run every once in a while. That would change up the muscles that you use and you know slightly call in more your stabilizing muscles which might actually just put those nichols away. She can cross train a little bit. I mean i know she likes to run a lot and i understand that but making sure that she you know she does get something that feels like. She shouldn't push maybe get on a bike or get in the pool or the elliptical. Something like that for a little break. Yeah i do have to say that the years all blend together. But they're definitely time where. I was running six days a week just because i liked it so much. Yeah yeah and that was when i would kind of limp. When i walked downstairs sometimes people who would see me. You know like walk up to them so that they can kind of see me coming. They'd be like oh something wrong. Why are you limping. And i'm like You think i'm

This is something that those of us who aren't in the banking or credit card industry don't know anything about but when you submit your credit card for payment they accepted or rejected it and then it goes into this way that the banks transfer money and they finally put it on your bill and you pay it but there. There are some of these places that have canceled conservative and christian organizations because they don't like the fact that they go against the woke feeling. That lgbt is okay. They stand for biblical values. They're not necessarily hateful. They're not pointing their guns at anyone. They are just saying what they believe and they're credit cards won't be processed is becoming a real problem and if people can control you like this. They're controlling your ability to buy and sell and for those of us who study any kind of bible prophecy at all. It sounds a lot like the beginning of the mark. the beast the anti christ. You know this is stuff. I never thought. I would see in my lifetime but you gotta believe that is building up towards something one world government. I mean i'm not a conspiracy theorist and maybe it'll happen generations from now but it sure looks like is building up to something and cancer. Culture is part of it. I hate the fact that i agree with that. I hate it. It's sickening to me but unfortunately if you're paying attention that's exactly what it looks like If you really are paying attention there are a lot of people who either. They're not paying attention or they can't bear the thought so they have to. They have to you know. Brush it off as conspiracy theory or exaggeration. I wish it were. But i have to be honest and say that One of the reasons. I wanted to talk to you about this book is because i feel like this is front and center in our lives. Here's the issue. Your book says gotten cancel. Culture stands strong before. It's too late if we don't stand strong now if we don't push-back now if we don't fight now we will go down this path that you and i have been talking about and so the question is will we stand up. Will we fight there. Many people listening right now. They're not fighting. They're not doing anything. Well hopefully my go caused him to wake up and people are speaking up. I think there is hope. I try to end the book with hope. We haven't lost yet but it's like leaning back in a chair you can lead back lean back and you can write it you know. Put it back on four legs if you want to but at some point you leave back too far you get a tipping point where it's impossible to put it down. You just fall backwards. That's the term tipping point came from. And we're getting pretty close to that tipping point. I'm afraid but we can't speak up. We can be strong and even Programs like this and everything you do. The as you said. Mike lindell was a hero. I think you're a hero to for all that you've done and you have really been attacked lightly and so bravo for standing strong yourself. Thank you i. we've just got about a minute left. But i i just want to say that i have my parents to thank because my parents. They really made me see. They grew up in in some cases. Living hell no food they. They saw the evil and so they made me understand. This is real. Because i haven't seen it in my lifetime. That's because i'm ridiculously blessed living in america but around the world most people know there is evil. There's a potential of for terrible terrible things. The question is will the people with the power with the freedom in this country. Will they wake up and fight now and again. That's the title of your book. gun cancel. Cultures stands strong before it's too late. We've got forty seconds. Do you think people will push back. I believe they're starting to and you're right. This is a wonderful country. Why do you think people are pouring over our southern borders if this is such a terrible racist country or whatever else the left says we are. It's a wonderful place. We're still the land of the free and the home of the brave. Well that's a beautiful way to end it. Folks book has gotten cancelled culture. Forward by mike lindell But the book is by stephen strang. What what does he say. Or what do you know that he says that he shared. So rick has i mean. This is well documented. Rick has been prophesying for a number of years that we're going to have another civil war here in america and he's had various dreams at different times but it's documented in history. You know twenty thirty years. He's been saying this was coming. And the lord began to show him back in the eighties that america would have a liberal president and then of course clinton game in office. He thought for sure that was alabama coming off as he thought for sure that was him. But then you know biden. In harris are sitting in the oval office and basically in the dream something would happen. That would cause america to realize. Just how terrible marxism is in that. We would swing back to the right never to go back to the left again. Yeah and so he believes right now. We're on the precipice of perhaps it's already begun a civil war in this nation because our our government it's beyond fixing itself.

They stand for biblical values. They're not necessarily hateful. They're not pointing their guns at anyone. They are just saying what they believe and they're credit cards won't be processed is becoming a real problem and if people can control you like this. They're controlling your ability to buy sell and for those of us who study any kind of bible prophecy at all. It sounds a lot like the beginning of the mark of the beast. The anti christ. You know this is stuff. I never thought. I would see in my lifetime but you gotta believe that is building up towards something one world government i mean i'm not a conspiracy theorist and maybe it'll happen generations from now but it sure looks like it's building up to something and cancer culture is part of it. I i just hate the fact. That i agree with that i hate it. But i have to be honest and say that one of the reasons I wanted to talk to you about. This book is because i feel like this is front and center in our lives. Here's the issue. Your book says gutting cancel culture. Stand strong before. It's too late if we don't stand strong now if we don't push back now if we don't now we will go down this path that you and i have been talking about and so the question is will we stand up. Well we fight there many people listening right now. They're not fighting. They're not doing anything. Well hopefully my booker caused them to wake up and people are speaking up. I think there is hope. I try to end the book with hope. We haven't lost yet but it's like leaning back at a chair you can leave back. Lean back and you can write it. Put it back on four legs if you want to. But at some point you lean back too far you get to a tipping point where it's impossible to put it down. You just fall backwards. That's where the term tipping point came from and we're getting pretty close to that tipping point. I'm afraid but we can't speak up. We can be strong and even programs like this and everything you do. The you said. Mike lindell was a hero. I think you're a hero to for all that you've done and you have really been attacked lately and So bravo for standing strong yourself. Well thank you. We've just got about a minute left. But i just want to say that. I have my parents to thank because my parents. They really made me see. They grew up in in some cases. Living hell no food. They they saw the evil and so they made me understand. This is real. Because i haven't seen it in my lifetime. That's because i'm ridiculously blessed living in america but around the world most people know there is evil. There's a potential for terrible terrible things. The question is will the people with the power with the freedom in this country. Will they wake up and fight now and again. that's the title of your book gun cancelled. Culture stands strong before it's too late. Well that's a beautiful way to end it folks. The book is god and cancel culture. Forward by mike lindell But the book is by stephen strang. Stephen it's just a joy to know You're in the fight with us. I hope your book and this interview wakes people up. They need to wake up today. Steven thank you. Thank you eric law. A try to make it. Sunday's old god damn said folks we year. We do a fundraiser..

"I'm talking to stephen strang. My friend who's written a book called god and cancel culture. The subtitle is stand strong before it's too late The forward is written by mike lindell who has become the most cancelled man alive. He still standing. He's a hero And i wanna ask you You talked about. Kohl's canceling him bed bath and beyond canceling him. They said we don't like your politics. We don't like you speaking up. We don't care if you're right or wrong we don't like you. We disagree. Were shutting you down. That's where we are in america that the big tech and big stores corporations are going along with this. It really does feel like what happened in germany in the early thirties. They said if you don't play along you're out. That's what cancelled. Culture is the subtitle of your book. God and cancel culture. Stand strong before it's too late. Talk about that stand strong before it's too late. Well christians as a group a rather passive generally. They're nice people go along to get along. You know they hope it won't affect them. Some of us like me live in kind of a bubble. Most the people in my life are christians. I recognize that a lot of this nonsense doesn't affect me but we cannot ignore it any longer. They're gonna come and get all of us sooner or later and you're right. Mike lindell is a hero. I don't know that he's been canceled as much as donald trump has but the right up there together and he's like donald trump in that he doesn't seem to care you know he just seems to thrive on it. And you know there's a very important serious thing. When it comes to economics we talked about communism it at the final At the end of the day it's economics and his atheism and they're starting to when people were cancelled they lose their job or they lose. Whatever they're losing the right to make an income with mike lindell. Why does that one of the retailers say. Hey you can't buy at these other retailers. Come over here..

"Using health to try to push regulations on us that before they would not have gotten away with. This is not the blue bonnet plague when it first happened. We didn't know but within a week or two we could tell it was bad but it didn't even come close to be that bad. In fact as it goes through the population the death rate is really very very small and and the people who die probably would've died. A lot of them are very old they would have died within a matter of months of something else anyway but the thing is that even to say that is being cancelled. Some of the doctors that are saying. Listen we can give you hydroxy. Clark win or ivermectin which i take myself as a prophylactic. If you say that you're terrible you can't you can't say that on facebook we're going to cancel you. We're going to say that you're a quack when it's not a quack. Hydroxy chloroquine is. I'm told is a safest tylenol and not much more expensive yet. They treat it. Like i mean if there was even a possibility it would help if it was just fifty fifty. You try it. There's nothing is not to kill you like the vaccine is but yet there's a. There's a group think we call a political correctness. It's been around for a long time is just got much much worse. And it's time for christians and other conservatives to stand up and say that's enough we'll be right back talking to the author of god and cancel culture. Stephen strang dan. You're talking to the author of god and cancel culture. Stephen strang stephen We were talking earlier about vaccines and all these things. And it's a. It's a weird moment in america where you know. I always say look. I want to be rational right. So there's some people who think the vaccine is a good idea. I think it's a horrible idea but we disagree but the point is we have people like lemmings saying we can't disagree shut up. Don't talk about that stuff. Those people crazy Just get the vaccine. The vaccine and i think it was okay. Wait a second If i get the vaccine is there any downside potentially three years from now five years from now we don't really know probably not and i say okay so probably not but you're not really sure so i'm not going to get it okay. And people like no no no you you gotta get. You can't eat at restaurants you can't go to college. You can't go to biolo- anything. Wow what happened to americans thinking for themselves making their own decisions. Some people are trying to enforce a certain kind of thinking and even if they're right they have no right to enforce thinking that's basically what cancelled culture is students to use the culture and peer pressure to bully a group. You wanna go to restaurant. You wanna walk around without a mask. You better do this. That's it's fundamentally un-american. I mean forget forget unchristian. It's fundamentally un-american i agree with you percent and that's the point i tried to make the now. I live down in florida where things are relatively normal. And i don't personally face that kind of thing but and in the book i re i research everything. There's footnotes i'm very careful what i'm gonna tell you now is anecdotal a couple of weeks ago. My wife and i went to a wedding there about sixty people. They only invited people who had had the vaccine. They made a couple of exceptions for my wife. And i had the antibodies since then twenty people of the sixty have come down with cova at table and he said last say that again wine t twenty people out of sixty now at our table there were there was a couple. They were friends of ours. We talked about the fact they'd had the vaccine cove it. My wife and high who have not been back had the antibodies on. Didn't scenes supposed to keep you from getting the scene. Does that's right but you know someone said and again you don't wanna believe but someone said it should not be called a vaccine. It should be called a shot. It's not it's not. It's not a real on no vaccine. So they're calling it a vaccine but it's not a vaccine. It is a shot. It's experimental a therapy. Here's here's the point. The people who got the vaccine then get the disease. But that's not the worst part. The worst part is now they can spread the disease. So they're walking around saying i'm vaccinated. They can spread the disease. So you've got an experimental shot and not only. Do you get the disease. But you can spread the disease to people. We're living in crazier. You spread the flu. The common flew right. When i had kobe did. It was a very mild cases. I said i have been much sicker but the common flu and the common cold in years past for me. It wasn't that bad. I realize some people die. But i had a friend recently my age who died of the flu. This was a couple years before cove it. I didn't even know people could die of the flu. But apparently there's thousands a year every year depending on how bad the flu season is. Interestingly this year. Nobody's dying the flu. Every i mean they they label everything cove it. I think they're lying to us. I really do but my point of the book is not to make that argument so much as to talk about how the end result is communism. I'd like to tell your listeners about your story. I'm not sure how much you've talked about it. But you know how your mother came from east germany. Your father came from greece which came very very close to being communist. Dick your mother took you over there. When you're little kid you saw with your own eyes. What was you came home. Loving liberty like most americans don't because we take it for granted we're like fish in the water we don't even know what water is because it's all we know. I think somebody wrote a book of kind of a lot with imagery i'm guilty. I wrote a book called fish out of water. All this of you talking about is of course in my book. Fish out of water. But you're right. It's what woke me up to the horror of communism. My mom and dad live this and so growing up with them. I just heard their stories over and over and over again and so you realize whoa that is bad. That is why you've written this book. God and cancelled culture because cancelled culture. Leads us slowly and sometimes not so slowly toward big state socialist communist marxist thinking. That's exactly what it is. Anybody who lived through the through the chinese cultural revolution much worse than anything. My parents saw that was the cancel culture on proverbial steroids. It was a nightmare. If you defied the the marxist thinking during the cultural revolution they humiliated you. They did things to those people. Anybody's lived through stuff. Knows we don't even wanna go near that cancel. Culture is going near that well. It's still really bad. In in com- communist china north korea. There's lots of examples. If you don't agree with the government they cancel you including putting you in prison. And in some instances killing you which is the ultimate cancellation and this talk. Totalitarian dictators have always done this. Why can't we wake up and see that the government and it's not just the government but it's the media is academia and now it's businesses with a big tech and others you know. Why would kohl's care about selling a pillow is because they're trying to punish mike lindell dasan coming back. Go we gotta go break. We're going to talk about mike lindell when we come back god and cancelled culture. Stand strong before it's too late. We'll be right back sleep. Don't pay up.

"Learned this weekend that there are christian colleges requiring vaccine proof to attend and i thought to myself. This is christian. Overtly christian colleges by ola was mentioned. I thought what world have we entered when the basic ideas of freedom have been thrown out the window. There is so much fear. I mean again. I didn't mean to talk about covert but it's almost funny to me. People act as though it's the bubonic plague it's polio. It's something i i know. So many people who've had it and recovered quickly and yet we have christian colleges kind of participating in this because their idea of freedom doesn't seem to it just doesn't seem to reach into these things and i think that's part of the cancel cultures that people don't really have the they don't have the The american values Deepen them where they understand. We can't do this. We can't do that but it has entered the churches. I could give other examples where people are wishy washy. They don't really know what they believe. They go along to get along. I'm absolutely against vaccines. I mean i read recently. And you don't know what to believe and i haven't had a chance to research at the twelve. Thousand people have died from the vaccine. I had very very mild case of covert that a guide on on an airplane. Some when i got absolutely exhausted and ran down my immune system. But i was better in two days so now i have the immunity. You know for me. I say people can make a decision. They should have control over their own body. They ought to be able to decide. I'm concerned that the government is just imposing everything. They're using health to try to push regulations on us that before they would not have gotten away with. This is not the blue bonnet plague when it first happened. We didn't know but within a week or two we could tell it was bad but it didn't even come close to be that bad. "Are two issues with how cancelled closures related to god. Number one is explicitly that canceled culture seems to want to push christian influence out of the public sphere. So we're talking really about cultural marxism but the other way is that canceled. Culture is anti grace if it's anti-god anti-biblical if it's pro marxist it's anti grace and so to cancel somebody's the opposite of saying that one sin you have that's covered by grace and we're going to look at the good you've done. This is exactly the opposite. I don't know if you go into that but it strikes me that it's important us to say that. Just the idea of cancelling somebody. He's graceless. I agree with you entirely. In fact one thing about the left and the cancer culture crowd or woke nece. I mean there's different ways to say is that there's no redemption if you sin according to what they say there's no redemption that's the opposite of christianity and one of the arguments that i make is right out of the bible story about where the shepherd left in ninety nine and went after the one sheet. That's what christianity is. All about is actually the opposite of what a communism or atheism is where the ninety nine are important in sacrifice the one law sheep and these things are twine a lot of christian notice or at least they should know it and as far as you being in the book. You're a big part of the book. I have all chapter called. It's not cancelled culture. It's communism and i tell your story. You know which you told me. I i already knew it. That's why i reached out to you and the story of your own parents and and how that is just set you on fire in terms of speaking up. In spite of the fact that they have painted a big bull's eye on your back aiming and shooting at

"God and cancel culture. They're they're both kind of important but are they related. yes they are related. And you know how. I know that because stephen strang. My friend has written a book with the title. God and cancel culture stephen strang. Welcome thank you eric. I always enjoy being with you. I enjoy being with you. And you've written a this is an important thing. Because i think there are plenty of people who don't they very sloppily Push political suffer cultural stuff away from theological stuff. They don't seem to understand that. God wants to be in every single conversation. We're having in the culture wherever so how our god for those people who aren't yet sold on this hauer god and cancelled culture related. You know you touched on. A guide is central to everything. Whether or not atheist rag nas ticks just nominal christian say so or not and cancel. Culture has been going on for longtime one of the best examples is the romans tried to cancel christianity in the first century and they failed and there are people trying to cancel god today in fact i make the argument into book. Didn't cancel culture. That the real end result of all this cancelation which has been going on for years. But it's gotten worse. Lately is to try to cancel christianity and try to cancel the influence of god out of our culture and the end result. I believe is some kind of socialism. Communism and at its base is eight theistic and they have to get god. They have to get judeo-christian values out of the culture and everything and i cover the waterfront. I mean there are many aspects to this from kobe to twitter and two my pillow i covered all but i think it comes back to the fact that people are trying to cancel.

"The eric metaxas. Show with your host eric taxes. Folks today. I hardly know where to begin except to say that We are in the midst of a and international tragedy. What's happening in afghanistan on a number of levels. A lot of friends of mine have different points of view on it except everybody Agrees that it's a fiasco that What is happening. There will be called the biden caliphate That's that's kind of where we are. I wanted to bring on an old friend. Dr jeff myers. He's the president of summit ministries to talk about this. Jeff myers welcome. Thank you eric. Good to be with you. Since you're an old friend. I can call you. Jeff is jeff okay or you want jeff. Three missing maya's listen so you're in in colorado springs or someplace near there are in manitou springs. Yeah it's a little hippie town right at the foot of pike's peak right next to colorado springs okay and and well let me just ask you. Though a lot of people don't know what summit ministries is so we're talking about afghanistan and biden in a divided nation. And you have some original polling which we've not done on this program before i don't think but tell my audience how you come into the subject. I mean What summit is how you come into the subject of afghanistan and divided nation. Eric is you know. Summit ministries is equipping and supporting a rising generation to embrace. god's true to champion a biblical worldview so our programs are two weeks long students come here as their headed off to the university and we've started to really be intent on figuring out what kind of world are students are going into. What is it really like on the university campus. What is it really alike in society. And of course george barna. The pollster helps us with that. He surveys our students but we started to do a lot of national polling to figure out. What is this divided. America that we're hearing about. How can we help our students prepare for it and what we found is pretty interesting. That americans mostly blamed politicians. Fifty eight percent say politicians are to blame for divided america. Fifty four percent are to blame Of news media are to blame and then forty four. Percents say. Social media are to blame. So what's essentially happening is the elites have put in a position where they are dividing us and it's sadly it takes something like the situation in afghanistan for people to come back together and realize hey we aren't divided. We only know byron's jerk. Isn't it beautiful. We can come together and we can agree. Left and right biden is an incompetent fool and i say that in love as a christian. So let me ask you. Dr jeff myers president of summit ministries What is happening right now. With regard to what is this. Poll that you're talking about well. The poll is something we did with mclaughlin. So it's a national polling company and the question really was our americans really talking about important issues in how they talk about them so it was kind of some of the things we discovered are that americans are having tough conversations that more than half of americans say within the last week or the last month they have had a difficult conversation on a topic with someone with whom they strongly disagree conversation. I guess i wanna be a little bit. Skeptical in that I don't see that in other words. I see people on the left and right divided in such a way that they may have an argument but an actual conversation. What what gives you evidence that these are conversations because well. I'm just i would like to think people are having conversations. Well i think a lot of people are. We tend to look at social media to see whether they are or they aren't but that's not the right place to look. You want us to be with people in their workplace that you want to be with people you know on the subway or when they're at a family reunion or something like that to see if they're having these conversations that's the kind of context that they're thinking about now. Most people are saying. Hey one top conversations come up. I basically i just listened respectfully sixty. Some percent of americans say that's their default impulse. Twenty so percent say they engage in conversation conservatives. Not surprising are a lot better at this than liberals conservatives are twice as likely to take polite stance rather than a rude stance. Y jeff myers. Look you're mr christian worldview I have an answer for this. But let me tee it up for you. Why is it because this is interesting. This is really interesting. You're saying polling data reveals that conservatives are more civil gracious in an conversation in which they're talking to somebody they disagree with what what is that. What are those numbers again. Well liberals were twice as likely to say that when they're talking with someone they disagree with. They're likely to ignore them. Cut them out of their lives or become angry. Conservatives impulse was to say that they're likely to listen respectfully and engage in conversation. I think it comes back to the whole battle over truth. Conservatives basically believed that there is such a thing as truth on that we can discover it whereas people who are on the left. Progressives say believed that truth is completely up to the individual. So so i'm speaking my truth so have you disagree with me. It's not just that you're disagree. With my opinion it's that you're attacking me as a person and i will fight back. I think that's how people on the left tend to see and this polling data reveals that that's true by the way. Eric millennials are the worst. Twentysomethings are the worst. They are three times as likely as any other age group to say that their response to conflict is to cut somebody out of their life or get angry. This is interesting. unfortunately. I wish it weren't so interesting. it strikes me jeff that we are in some kind of a civil war. It's a cultural civil war. it's an informational civil war. Because coming down here on the taxi this morning The taxi driver has npr. Or something loud. And i'm able to listen to it. And i thought to myself the people talking. He's talking to new york restaurant owners or something or people who dine in new york restaurants. They're actually afraid of catching ovid. Like they have bought into this idea. That it's like the bubonic plague and they. They don't feel this way about the flu. They don't feel this way about you know Std's evidently they don't feel this way about anything but they're living in this incredible fear and it's real and it leads them to want to shun in a kind of old fashioned puritanical. Nasty way anybody who's not vaccinated or not wearing a mask. But i thought they really do believe this. We have to understand. They're not being mean just to be mean they believe this. But it's because they're listening to information and news sources that. Give them this point of view exclusively. So that's kind of the weird situation. How can we be united as a nation when our sources of information are radically different. Well this is especially plaguing the young adults that we work with i. I will answer the question. But i should point out the mental health association when they screen young adults for depression. They're now saying that. Up to ninety percent of young adults are screening positive for moderate to severe depression. They they watch the news media. They don't have the ability to filter out. So yeah there probably exaggerating because they wanna keep people tuned in so they're advertisers can give the money that's not what's occurring to a young adult. They're just thinking. Oh my goodness this is what's actually happening. The answer that seems to be the thing bullying americans together as actually biblical values. You might find the surprising we asked What do you believe that the values found in the bible are essential to a healthy american society. Seventy seventy two percent of americans said yes. Eighty two percent of african americans said yes which indicates to me that african americans are not buying into the critical race theory. America is evil kind of narrative that we are being given and what ties all of this together. People basically believe according to this survey that everybody bears god's image. Everybody deserves dignity. If we forget that point will fall apart as a society. If we remember it we can heal. Where can people find you and summit ministries. because i know they're young people all around the country Who would be interested in summit. I wanted to just tell you how much I appreciate what you've had to share and how much I admire your willingness to step up and to endured the criticism when I watched the video. One of the things that you made clear was that you're not doing this because your critics know that because of something that the Lord has kind open your eyes to almost like you've always been very deep and always been a great teacher in my opinion but it's almost like there's a new depth as you spent time in the word and that is a message for all of us every uh-huh believer and certainly everyone who's in Christian leadership needs to be spending more and more time in the word especially with what's going on in the world and the you listen. I read my Bible now three three times a year. I used to read at one time here and now eating three times a year and I began about two years ago. I literally read my English Bible three times a year and leading my Hebrew Bible at night about the same so so I'm reading God's word. If you ask my children he has my daughter I had one might be doesn't even come on hardly in my house..

"Some privately and other locations and the subject came up. You know we thank you for what you're good morning. Holy always spirit. We've been blessed by ministry such and such but they all had a question to me. What is it you believe about prosperity and when I told him one on one they were shocking to say well. The why don't you ever make this public well. I didn't feel it was time but I don't want the next generation to believe something that I myself no longer believe and frankly this morning. Michael and I saw it looked called me and he's had a number of calls from different people and we talked about this so I've had the chance to minister and stand with many young leaders as of late in the sand Jesus image islands on a long many of his people that he's with. We've talked about that and they all feel the same because for the sake of the next generation and the legacy of the Gospel. I'm glad to be making these statements I have to because I wanna make sure that the a future generations here the heart of this message that has been. I think they can to some people it's Jesus. It's loving Jesus. It's the Gospel. It's it's loving the lost that's why we give and he will bless us back way more than we can ever imagine. I'll tell you one thing that happened months the months ago that that's when things begin to really when I said okay. I gotta do something about this. I guess because they're he has to put to come down to a thousand. One man was a businessman. I don't know oh his name. He gave a lodge and he looks at me and my face says I will see if this would work if it doesn't work then I know this is all an e kind of us that were that don't WanNa be right to my face at that meeting and I'm thinking this is what people are thinking of that. We have to bring it back to the Bible and the Bible I will. I'll read today with new eyes. I see believers in the scriptures like the Church of Macedonia who were deep in poverty. Paul sessile and yet gave out of that level but I see the church in Corinth who are more prosperous more less because of the location they lived in I suppose of what was going on in our own country but Paul encourage them all to give the Macedonians and those in Collins and so what is very clear and in second Indians nine fourteen. He hits the heart of it. He says this demonstrates your submission apple. That's it simple. y'All do check. You hear that I wanNA know did you. Did you catch that. It was very subtle but I hope you caught it so he went through us. At how is this this message. Preaching should be about loving Jesus Loving Gospel and everything goes though he doesn't say what the Gospel is and he doesn't once again. He's doesn't mention San Orioles thinks Mona concerning giving..

"And that maybe you can you can work on developing traits on the other quadrant. If your dominant in one unless it's all one bring. Yes, that's also wear. You know, people aren't gonna try to over simplify what's going on in the Brandon. I I mean, I I can't understand that thing. I that's what I do too. I simplify because the brain is pretty complicated. When I explain how the brain works, and what it means for meetings. Of course, I'm gonna simplify a bunch of stuff. But when you over simplify to the point that, it doesn't it doesn't have any more ground to the reality. And if you do that to sell some stuff saying, hey avenue methodology to make your your team more right drain. So they got to be more creative. I mean that doesn't mean anything what does it mean to be right brain. I mean, this is not just the right side of your brain. That is a more creative as it is. Is not true there. Again, there are some activities. They're going to sometimes lit up a some areas of more on the right side sometime more on the left side. But it doesn't mean that the whole brain is not working at that moment. And we have the corpus callosum which is like a like a bunch of nerves were communicating with the two hemisphere. The the brain is always the both sides of the brain's always communicating into saying that if you're right bring you creative and left brain, you more on olitical is completely over exaggerated. And so it's so any anybody usually if it seems too good to be true too simple to be true. It's not the brain is super complex. So be careful with anyone Strang to to sell. You anything saying, oh, this is the day..
