Vegas Raiders Cut Down Roster to Initial 53-Man Roster
"Get right to it sam. The raiders cut their roster down to fifty three. It's not etched in stone whatsoever. There's going to be a lot of moves. I think made over the next forty eight hours but any surprises regarding what What we saw today. How you doing great work today. Greg today becky over. A number of those moves broke several of those transactions. Great work as always. We appreciate it for me biggest surprise. I don't think there's a ton of surprises. You take a look at the roster in for the most part guys that we expect it to make the team guys that had prominent roles in training camp guys that we expect to have. Prominent role season are on the team The one surprise to me. And i guess it's not too much surprise when you contextualize training camp and how everything went through the preseason Brown three years removed from the one thousand yard season. You figure you know his speed. His veteran presence could play a factor there that receiving core. But it goes to show you that. The raiders have a lot of faith in henry rugs in bryan edwards to take a step forward in hunter renfro to continue to be a productive sought receiver and and felt it was. It was a mutually beneficial. John brown asked for his release. I expected to be a market for him with the raiders. Feel good about where they are at receiver. So that was the biggest surprise for people for the most part this roster looks how i expected it to look at this point of the season. What about you. What did you think. Yeah and As it relates to john brown zeta-jones also continues To to emerge as a guy that the raiders value as a reserve player maybe even as a spot starter. There's a lot of value in zeta-jones that goes obviously the numbers because he really hasn't put the numbers up but there's a chemistry that he has with dr carr. There's also an understanding now going into year. Three in this offense of what the raiders are doing so Not a bad option to have that deep down on under depth chart. It'll be interesting to see what some of these younger wide receivers Dita turner and dylan. Stoner who did get cut. Whether they're brought back in some capacity. Very lisa i would think both would be on the practice squad. And who knows maybe one could end up. On the on the regular season roster fifty three man roster
Man Dies After Falling From Balcony at Dead & Company Concert in New York
"Rock band, the Grateful Dead right course. So they still chore, But they're not called the grateful anymore. They're called the dead and company because it's some guys that were in the band and then some friends just sort of it. What is it? John? Marriage John Mayer often tours with I don't think he was at this show over the weekend. New York at a dead end Companies show a fan legit, died after he fell off a second floor balcony. Well, that's one way to girl there are there. I've done the math. There are three groups of people who go to a grateful dead show stoners, senior citizens and senior citizen stoners. Who? Okay, balconies at this show. They need like netting or something up. There shouldn't even be stares at a grateful dead shot at this point.

"Of teeth when it's like hey we're bringing in eighty one millimeter mortars and one twenty millimeter mortars and. We're going to have vehicles. People were losing their minds. Ray and just simple stuff like that just kind of really getting the organization to to think about the future and stuff like that was was interesting either during that timeframe. It's money that you You mentioned in that way. Because don't we face that. Even i mean guys listening to this or gals. Whatever people have ended. This podcast will be saying the same thing about. I'm a god. I'm hearing you know. Tommy talk about a period of time where people are gnashing of teeth because of change going on around them and not being able to adjust and yet we see that every day in the army so for those of us who've been around for a long time. It's like it's going to happen you know and we're going to get through it and is probably gonna happen again. Well you know. It's like some of your podcast. Rose listened to him. We talked about that and stuff. And it's all you know folks who came in two thousand fifteen. They're like well. It's the new army and it's like it's always the new arm forty or nineteen forty four point two ho you know from second ranger battalion new. You know new army. It's always gonna be the new army and there's ups and downs. You know you can argue. Whether we're we're up or down you know right now. I think we're down opinion and a lot of respects because our eyes off the ball for a lot of reasons but It's always going to be changing and it's always going to be adapted and there's going to be highs and lows. You know it is what it is you know it was the ranger battalion when i was in better than now depends on what they're doing. I think if it was out the field if retreat type mission i think the ranger battalions of the eighties. Probably would yeah. You know outperform. Some of the guys. I saw you know during the global war on terrorism. They're very urban focused. Right and i had the opportunity to couple companies from ranger tunes out in the field and i saw them. Do some stuff can out away from the urban environment. That's i'm maybe not super sound. But by the same token i watched a range of retain ripped down you. Know objective is is some of them have special missions units and it better in many ways right in kenner their fire and fury and stuff like that. So it's it just depends right as long as you always kind of consistently trying to be the best you can so i've never been one to be like well. I was here and it was better. It's like whatever exactly right like you're better what you did. But that's not my mission. I like a lot of my buddies world enough now that we look back. We like talk to the guys that are in iraq. It's not real ranger and you know now. We're the ones national teeth. But i think. I don't know what your mission is anymore like i. You're clearly better than us at what you're doing. You're not losing guys all the time like. Yeah and and there's only so much capacity right to able to stuff so it's you're better at something than another. You're always of interchanging it and it's why you always hear about the military changing missions. Because you can't do everything maybe we could seen indeed so much paperwork but whether they're still you know we know and we've talked about this past episodes a lot of people who are staying ten twelve fourteen fifteen years inside bring judgment either. In one of the battalions or headquarters. They move around. They go to different positions. They take on new responsibilities in different ways. They may be going from sergeant to betine headquarters s. three shop. And then they leave their and they go you know takeover first sergeant position and on and on and on type of stuff and not really living the abrams charter but it also makes it difficult for new people to come into new blood and i think you almost need that you need that. Turn because it makes the unit better overall get those new people coming in That are going to bring a different challenge that are going to bring unique experiences and stuff as well. Yeah yeah any unit but you gotta be willing to absolutely if sometimes group thank does does set in you know unless you're i've seen some unit that are actually pretty you know of inoculating themselves against the pretty. Well you know in the scheme of things but you're right. it's like anything you just. You know you come in the problem different when you're not just kind of sitting there with the same set of glasses on so again. There's pluses and minuses right like you get this folks. Stay there for a long time and you get people who just absolutely no everything inside now but by the same token are they. Are they really looking at things. Appropriately and whatnot. So how long did you stay at first couple of years. Two years normal lieutenant rotation. That's when i went. You know put pack goes so because you work with some folks you know. We're always kind of a of things i wanted to do. You know just as you kinda look through it and it really weighed that one right like hey if i could do this. I'm not going to be able to come back to the ranger regiment. Right size enlisted. There's and it's been officer and the ranger regiment. You get a lot crap. 'cause i always wore my ranger regiment. Dui even wise ass. After i be able to be like why are you wearing that. And i'm like is where i grew up right so like you know. It's my hometown right. We had to talk about hometowns before so you know it was really my hometown. Ranger regiments in my own town but The thing that was intriguing about the mission right was your team your cross trained and as a small team you go off and do stuff whereas you know even in the ranger regiment..

"More hike. The top said yes sir five bedroom condo colorado generally. Don't skate aspen. Well you know. There's a saying for people from colorado. That's right no. I don't either have two houses or two jobs and wasn't it wasn't from to house so yeah okay so you grew up there in the northwest. So did you get a chance to do a lot of skiing women to the passions that you have. Yeah you know. It became more of a passion. As as i got older and stuff. So you start to appreciate things right. it's It's like a lot of things you don't really appreciate kind of. What's around you all times till you to get out you know and i think that's Even the military your show. Sometimes you're sitting there and see for the old lady inspector team cup and he hate it but then you look back on. You're like man out our members joking around with those guys and laugh and the hardest. You've ever laughed sometimes. It's the same with colorado. Sometimes i really appreciate it but definitely you know. It's my favorite place to be because of that reason. I still have my canteen cup. So i went and bought a new in that way. I would pass but you're right. It's a canting. Somebody does brillo. Pads grew trying to get all the stains and everything. They're like dude. Just go buy one of those things. So yeah i think Cf helps keep half the military industrial complex running purchases to replace things people people there are stories definitely and i think maybe if you get a good guy that's like you know he's a good day or whatever he doesn't care you throw that sleeping bag or whatever in there that you'd never used but most guys would look at it and go dirty you know i didn't. I never even use the thing you guys gave it to me. You know. I stopped on the ground. Never used the. Yeah yeah we had a story and rain telling about sergeant major who went to clear he went down to cf. They came back and signed. This papers up. I just would rather stay in band. And then i went through i get. Maybe the little recruited reenlistment office. That's right here's our sign this paper going. They're gonna get so hard to get out so when you mentioned that about the The snow because i was exact same way living around the beach. I grew up in florida and i'll be at the beach here in a couple of weeks and my family. Absolutely love you know. They love going to the beach but they know. I'm not a huge fan of it mainly because the whole ordeal. I think that goes into it today when people go to the beach elise my family. I i can't speak for everybody. But i do see the same aunts moving back and forth and so it's like seven o'clock in the morning people get up. Go out there. They stake their little spot. You know stick their umbrella and put their cooler down the whole bit. They come back to eat their breakfast and they now they've got their land stake go out there and they spend till the sun goes down emblazoning heat high humidity with little win to enjoy the sun. And i burn. I mean i freckle but sun doesn't agree with me and Anyway that's my story. Yeah you know the the locals. I live down there. J. seventy th special forces group who has part of They moved down from brag down to the beach which was right down recruiting toolbox It was it was incredible. The number of people didn't matter as f- guys or support enablers and stuff like that just like to seventh seven. Yeah i'm milton. Yeah okay yes the deal say my house is our and so oh yeah. The locals would go to the beach in the morning. Show up at nine. And then you can off at eleven. There was some function going on. Because it's too hot but then you'd see the line and people heading out at noon you know. Do ninety eight degrees fighting the crowds and stuff. So you knew exactly what you're looking at a week. You exactly what i was talking about. But i love the water on. Like apparently yeah. I love the water. I scuba dive and everything but or used to. I don't do as much anymore. But i just don't like lane out in the sun and baking it just not my idea of a good time. What's interesting is where i lived was just down the road from where ranger school does the water training the little space. And here's always kind of weird because you drive by something you later in life right you go back to it and it's completely different. You remember just kind of remember this very isolated little plays and it's probably because i was asleep on the truck or bus out there and stuff and you get out there and it's kind of surrounded by trees but there's literally houses in neighborhoods on both sides of it right and it's kind of like feels like you're in the middle of the river miller nowhere and then it now i remember. I stopped going the irs. Dan i'm like hey man is did it. Did this move here..

Maybe some aren't like ones that i would always use every day but late to get into a show or a festival or you know whatever always always always. I will wear whatever sunglasses. Get the for me. Flat black black black tampons. I cannot A recommend enough. They are excellent for sinking rates into events Also like batteries carts Jammed right up into the applicator or just into if you get tampax pearls. I think it's either radio airports. I don't remember. I have some literally years ago. And i just keep them in my bathroom so that if i ever going anywhere wanna smuggle instead of i mean it uses champions because the the cover the wrapping. I'm sorry is refillable so you can open it up. Take off the tampon. Use that as your storage and then you put wrap it all back up close it sealant and then you put that in your cosmetic bag underneath all of your whatever also you said in your copy talk the other day. I know i liked it. This is these are my taps. You showed me the receivable tampon. Oh cool and if you wanna see me talking about this live or not live in the flesh. I guess was live at one point with by a living person. You can see it in my in a coffee talk talking about some stuff But yes those specific tampons in particular. Have that receivable. Not all of them are like that but this has been a longtime thing. The tampon knowledge you can literally put a vaporizer in there And then just put it in your cosmetic bags like they will not open up your tampon tomorrow. And look at the applicator like they're not gonna do that berlow So there you go the other thing you as. I highly recommend picking up a small personal air filter specifically four these types of events or situations so normally i would say like this is my favorite. It's really not for the tip of of that 'cause you want something that's really small I use the filter. I feel like i need a new one But there's a few different types. There's one that actually fits onto your be pan which is cool and then there's one that you just keep in your pocket there so small interest exhale today are totally. Nice when you're trying to be discreet and while you're enjoying yourself out in public if you know what i mean. Oh the other one i have. This is my last tip about using edibles basically specifically the hard candy or like mankind's you can put them in like a small bottle of aspirin that's literally how we got until liz arrived with edibles and then i just ate bunch of edibles during that. It was wonderful I remember members in incredible excruciating. Pain like i had some kind of chest freak out back premium it was. Why does that always happen doing somebody. It's the worst habit Vacation at one time but the same time. 'cause i came we. This is a cross state. Multi-state pay us back incident member and then we got home. It was still around. But then i finally went away. How long no really need to start taking. No i mean you just went through this know. How did it go away. You went to the doctor dollars. Like i've had it. He was like whatever nothing new logo way back. And now it's fine anyway. Those are my tabs away way. flies the devil. There is a fucking fly. That is just make our lives miserable right now. This is the play of soda breaking bat Anyway thatt's it does a tips. What are your summer tips. Summer tapes have fun her fun..

We just got through what we're smoking and drinking one okay. That's all i knew thing is. We're going to start catching up in a libation corner. That's the best thing to do. So what have we even have to We've been up to quite a bit. We are already enjoying a four day weekend currently together when we say that we mean kids free forty and it's not really actually forty three days. Why do we start calling boarding. We'll because you know like when you have to be a friday night and like at work a forty weekend you know or do they say three day weekend. They say three we do. Wow we really sound sorry. I just made that up. Like some entrepreneurial assholes david does have a real job i do in addition to my job which is a real job still and then a third real job. David has a lot of. That's anyhow you used to have more. I did somehow no no way ever. I like to have three at a time for is the number. Yes we've had this fortunate run of summer weekends where our kids are with their other parents and so then we've gotten to working some dates here in there. We went to fort collins yesterday for date day before yesterday day before yesterday and that was fun with sushi. I love. I love sushi by the way. I'm glad you liked it. I know who can forgotten staff sushi that we do somehow a little bit closer to the industry. It's not it's probably farther. I don't yeah. It's farther away because it's farther north so anyway somehow full there i will say about her gave us into. It took a little walk. We ducked into a record shop or was there were lockable records. Coal records david was like okay. Remember the ones that are on the list that we have. Because i have a list on my computer of all the ones that we want so that anytime you have some money or you're drunk if you're david and on the internet you have something to look for so i was thinking about it and then david pulls out and his nose broken. She's literally on the list on the list on the list. There had more than one to. It's you had some. They had some pretty decent records for a little weird record shop. That grimes record. They had What's her name. Poppy member that had her record. I mean. I don't think they have that gedi prime grimes album which is hard to get to the guy alan. Former Disney Channel Star Alyson Stoner on Mental Health Struggles
"Ellison. What an honor and privilege to meet you to talk to you and to hear you a nasal story so part cost today. Thank you so much. It's truly mutual and honored to be here as well thank you. I'm a great fan of yours. I watched you in. You're a little girl and in movies you've done and you've got such a phenomenal story. Would you mind share you story with the audience. Yes sure. I began working in entertainment at six years old and it was a fulltime job. You could say. It was a combination of training and learning about the craft also embarking on the industry side of things so meeting with agencies and having representatives and going on these auditions and it was a very reoccupying all consuming endeavor that ended up up rooting my entire family from ohio. All the way to the other side of the country to las angeles. And you know there's a mixed way of interpreting this because in many ways i was very very fortunate to have experienced quite a significant amount of success. Early on you could call it. Beginner's luck you could call it really great mentorship from my teachers. But there's also the flip side. Which is the psychological impact the developmental impact when you're removed from normal socialization. And when you're no longer in academic settings and you're you're learning a lot of different patterns that deeply embed themselves and and and give you a sense of reality that's quite skewed from the quote unquote normal. So it's been a multi layered experience but it's the story that i have to work with so here. We are turning turning everything we can into something purposeful. I love it and you've become a huge mental health advocate and just before we began. You made a very interesting comments about helping others in two different states one way you still proceeding through and one way you sort of proceed through now you moving into that other side. Can you talk about this. Because i found it really stinks. Yes as i'm meeting with a lot of different folks in the space were discussing the advocacy at hand for child actors child performers in terms of labor laws in terms of mental health practitioners on sets etc etc. I'm noticing that of course everyone is at different stages of their own healing and process. And you know some like to bring their pain into their advocacy because it's it's the passion it's the spark it's the fire that that really keeps them going

The Lucas Bros, Using Humor 'To Shake Folk Woke'
"Kenny and Keith Lucas are stand up comedians and identical twins. People don't have to react when I see twins. No. Okay, they go crazy like we were in the supermarket looking for some Jell O. Yeah. And we're just about to pick it out. And then some dude came out of nowhere. It was like, you know, you guys have a stick of Doublemint gum. That's from their 2017. Netflix special Lucas brothers were having a moment right now they're writing and starring in a remake of Revenge of the Nerds, But they also wrote the story for the new movie Judas and the Black Messiah. The film premieres today in theaters and on HBO. Max NPR's Elizabeth Blair has this profile. The Lucas brothers are best known for a kind of stoner humor. And here's a rule of thumb You should never do. Shrooms wouldn't do Who looks like you, man. I'm telling you. But underneath the jokes, there's a serious side that draws heavily on their childhood in the housing projects of Newark, New Jersey, called the Garden spires is you always, you know, broken elevators infested with rats and rotten Drug dealing violence everywhere, But you know, there's a community that is people that there's families is my family When they were six years old there, Dad went to prison. My father actually is out of prison. He's not in prison anymore, and it sucks that he's out. I wish he was still there. Oh, yeah. I wanted to go back because all he wants to do is father's sight. Don't like do we pay rent? Now it's over. The Lucas Brothers connection to Newark got the attention of New Jersey Senator Cory Booker in 1999, then a Newark City councilman, Booker went on a hunger strike in front of the Garden spires. He also served as the city's mayor. Here's Booker talking to the Lucas brothers on his instagram. I love your insightful, hard hitting humor and the sort of the Eddie Murphy and S O. My great heroes Coming up, you know, were uncompromising how they used humor to shake folks woke like book arm. Keith and Kenny Lucas went to law school and why you and Duke, But unlike Booker, they dropped out. It was weird Tonto Study law and and kind of be poor and black because it's like, Oh, I see what The consequences of policy and law are like on a daily basis, and especially when it in relation to African Americans and the notion of criminality and how it's projected onto blacks and I see that process. I found myself sort of disengaged very early. I always said, you know what I want to do something that has a direct impact on people. From an emotional standpoint, Judas and the Black Messiah is very emotional. Lucas brothers were in college when they first learned about Fred Hampton, the charismatic leader of the Illinois Black Panther Party in the 19 sixties in the movie he's played by Daniel Cholula, Mother Liberating You can't Murder Liberation is another revolutionary, but you can't murder a revolution for murder Freedom fighter, but you get amount of freedom. He's the Black Messiah. Judas is William O'Neal, an African American who was arrested for interstate car theft and Impersonating a federal officer in the movie. We see how the FBI recruited O'Neill to avoid jail time and earn some money. He was instructed to infiltrate the Black Panther Party. And provide the FBI with information about Hampton O'Neill is played by like Keith Stanfield Target You Like some good information, some nobody else No. Is it some kind of bonuses? I'm I'm counting on it. Bill O'Neill became so much of a Panther insider. He was put in charge of security. He provided the FBI with a floor plan of Hampton's apartment in 1969. The Chicago police raided the apartment and killed two Black Panther leaders, including Hampton for the Lucas Brothers. It was essential to tell the story of how the FBI recruited informants in the black community. I think it's important to see just how insidious The system has been in turning young African Americans against one another. Now they Essentially used poor black people against poor black people to execute their goals of minimizing the threat of black messiah is like we just felt it was important to see both sides of the coin. Whether it's a historical drama or its stand up comedy for the Lucas Brothers. It all comes from the same source in a big thing about our act is that we we always try to ground it and stuff that we've gone through, and it's always been Important for us to talk about these systemic issues and a variety of ways. Now they're writing and will star in Seth McFarland reimagining of 1980 four's Revenge of the Nerds Practice a bunch after school. They called US nerds. So one cool. The Lucas brothers promise that their movie will be almost nothing like the original because times have changed. It's like the juxtaposition of being a bully and a nerd is so different from what it was like in the eighties, where you had this one, a stark dichotomy between what it was bullying what it was to be a nerd. Now that's been fused together, and I think That's why the time is right to make a story about that. The Lucas brothers say it's hard to watch the original revenge of the nerds. Even though the movie was a childhood staple. They're excited to give it an update and to make it personal. Elizabeth Blair. NPR news

Dick stoner who is still around in. An old friend bought my first tricks. They're probably when i was six years old and the bug bit and never really let go. I've yeah so it's about sixty two years now. I've been interested in magic people. Are i absolutely do There there were a couple of things there was a magic set called the sneaky. Pete magic set which i may gotten for my fifth birthday. I actually saw dick stone perform at my school. I think when i was five i still remember some of the tricks he did. He did hip hop rabbits. He did the ghost tube in that. Sneaky pete set and one of the things that was in there was the was it the trick of horace the old old creek where you sever the head of the horse with the and that was a little plastic version of that and then it's donors magic shop. I got the penny to dime with the little plastic block with the magnet inside that lives off his show coin and too little plastic. I don't know what you would call them. Columns that were attached to the bottom and a string went through and then you could slice through it and show that it was cut and then pull it back through again. And i still haven't that stack an album and you're very well known for you. Men debt works helped me out two questions one. How should i choose which stack to learn and to what do you think in your experience. The best strategies. You've found the work best to actually memory. Well okay and we have a half an hour. I actually have done about of either forty-five minutes or an hour long targeted training video. That's on my website on this very subject. It's called demystifying the memorized deck. But i'll give you. I'll give you a very I'll give you a very short version. Which is your first step has to be to ask the question. How am i going to use this thing. Most people go memorize stack simply because everybody has memorizing stack. Now when i got interested in actually learning which was back in one thousand nine hundred ninety i had known of simon aaronson stack for quite a few years because he published it in the late seventies. I think and i knew exactly how i wanted to use the stack. I wanted to use it as an improvisational device to be able to sort of make up effects as i go i was influenced by that by burt. Allerton who had a trick in his book that used that and of course experiencing juan do his new monico sus improvised handling so i specifically knew how i wanted to use the stack and at the time the only stacks available really were one stack had not been published in english yet. I had simon stack. There was nicole. There was the ireland stack and i was good friends with simon by this point in time and so i learned that what now i learned to use the method he suggested which is a pneumonic method. One of course and people like what he aragon suggest every other way pneumonic and this is the third piece of advice. I would give you. Which is before you do anything you have to pay. Due diligence and due diligence in deck works and means buying at least choose me four books. Three or four books.

If I could have given you the best ones move. I mean I can hear you the worst one. I would like we could come up with a choice. I know we could. Okay. Well, I'm sure we'll deal. I will give one on the on good list and then we'll come up with one for the ballast. Okay? Okay. So first one, they said the Matrix trilogy. Oh, I think that would scare the shit out of me and I get very paranoid. That's what I think for me and my job is to come up with the worst one. Yeah think of a worse when compared to that particular movie. So it has to kind of have a space theme. I would say Fuck there was this terrible terrible movie that Brad Pitt on Netflix and it was a space movie and I cannot remember for the life of me what it was called, but it was so boring and I was stoned out of my mind when I was washing. It was in it Brad Pitt. He was a star. Okay enters that Interstellar Interstellar. It was like a fake Interstellar though with Brad Pitt. That's Matthew McConaughey. Oh all the all way guys like, I know it was just bad bad movie. Not the gel and Galaxy. I'm not going to try to remember what it is. I'm proud man. Yeah I mean someone actually damned this to me and I thought it was really fucking you hack my twenty nine female husband thirty one male has become obsessed with taking over his dad's company since watching succession on HBO my husband and I were late to the party when it came to succession on HBO. We finally binged watched the entire first season all the current season two episodes great show by the way talk show as a side note my f. I l. father-in-law father-in-law owns a Halloween party type store and it's not even his main hustle so but he's always been really into Halloween sick sick. My husband has become increasingly obsessed with unseating his father from the Halloween store and I I think it has something to do. Succession that is so funny told me after we watched season one that he was troubled that his father hasn't named a successor successor for the Halloween store for I thought he was joking. Motherfucker a few days later he posed this question directly to his dad who said nonchalantly that his sister twenty-seven would most likely take over because she lives nearby. You're buying doesn't already work full time but he obviously thought the question was odd because he's fifty six and not really close to being unfit to run a Halloween seasonal store. Eh then my husband started trying to find evidence that his dad was no longer fit to run the store. He told me he had a meeting with the store's shareholders shareholders but later I found out he had just accosted. Two teenage boys who checked dude writer is pitching this fucking show fog Atta here. This is so one eh dude. Why can't you just believe this shit? It's funnier. I don't know man I'm being wet blanket. I'm sorry it's definitely funny a coffee teenage or as a teenage boys who checked into his store on facebook and inform them informed them at the store clearly needed new management he also asked me if I would consider consulting for the store part time remotely as a way to unravel things from the inside and my God dude I mean yeah. It's definitely fake. It's fucking hilarious.

"Stoner dot com Tracy my team do offer benefits to offer line what offer only company well you know it depends so with any company whether be small art or large we have different group benefits that can be offered to to the employees they can either be fully paid by the employer they can be partly paid by the employer in part by the employee or the employer can actually just offer it to the employee and let the employee pay it so for instance one of my favorite that most people don't have it is an employee whole life policy in the beautiful part of that is that when a person leave that particular company it follows them and so most people don't realize and it's interesting I think if you did a survey nine out of ten people do not realize that their insurance policy does not follow them so with the group benefits I can offer life and disability okay for group whether it's a group you know two employees to in over a hundred so they're different different ways are underwriting that they need to go through so if it's under fifty have a little bit under running but not much if it's over fifty it's a guaranteed type issue so that's kind of good anyway getting back to that so life until disability is an easy thing this usually offered I do offer that with group benefits but again my favorite is what is called a permanent whole life policy and people don't understand they've been brainwashed in some ways to think that it's something that they don't need and that they don't need to later there is not anyone I know that has a permanent policy when they're gone gone going into retirement that they get why did I buy that why did my parents get that for me why did I get that my employer that followed me so to me for an employer to actually offer that to the employee and them know that they have something for a final expense or something that they can have to retirement is a beautiful thing to have it is the only company it says a whole lot about the company and so when you're a business owner there's some things you want to offer your employees that they can't get outside with other employers in so when you're talking about a smaller company there you know it might be the benefits that you offer them it could be that it's as simple as and maybe it's not the life insurance part maybe it's the long term care that you actually gave them the option to get connected with someone like me that to to start that before they retire before they need it and is so anyway as an employer it you know what I find is the the more successful business owners do care about their employees and they do want down to to have certain benefits available to them even if the employer is not the one paying the premium yet to me as a business owner what you just said creates loyalty in a loyalty is what makes or breaks companies I thank I don't know what night you know my father was one of those true entrepreneurs and I love to watch them through the years I was fortunate enough to work with him for I guess twelve thirteen years after I graduated from college but what I use on him the you know you know still is something that you know when I think about having my own business as I do it's like you know when you have an employee you want to take care of them and all of his employees that he that that he had they all knew that he would take care of them and it wasn't like he had to give them all the money it was like if they had a situation or problem or something is like he took them under their wing and you know they they trusted him and so for him to offer certain benefits to them even if it was something that he did not pay for they paid for but it was offered because he was the employer it was it was huge for the employees that you know that you know he had if you want to talk about getting this for the possibility of your company you reach out.
