Yuri I'd appreciate your insights on how close we are to the west providing jets to Ukraine. Do you think we're approaching that moment? We are pushing for the fighter jets on a daily basis. Our minister of defense, our president, everyone from the political and military leadership. And we understand that these are sophisticated platforms that require the training of pilots, the training of engineer crews, they require logistics, so it's not going to happen overnight, but we are doing everything we can on our side to facilitate this process because fighter jets are the last remaining hurdle and they will be instrumental in helping French victory which we hope will be this year. Yuri how long do you think that would take to train pilots and make that kind of thing operational? Well, we are in a different situation ordinarily training pilot stakes about a year. If not more, but we are in a situation where first we already have pilots who have combat battlefield experience and our pilots are ready to be trained in three to 6 months. They will be ready to fly these platforms. Mister sack, it's simple. You need material as well as I asked our Maria today and keep an hour ago. Tell me about the manpower of your defense ministry. Do you have enough soldiers? It always comes down to infantry, doesn't it? The state of the Ukrainian infantry. Well, as you know, the Black Sea now there is the Russian Black Sea fleet in the Crimea and Sevastopol. So Russia and Russia continues to control what happens in the Black Sea. But of course, we will continue building up our military capability. And this is why we are asking for longer range missiles because they will be helpful in terms of helping us achieve our objectives deeper into the enemy's territory and making sure that Black Sea is safe as well as for things like grain deal, the supply of agricultural products from the Ukrainian territory, which was of concern to the international community for a long time. You are in the United States as committed tens of billions of dollars to support Ukraine and the war effort in your country. There are some concerns where you are in Washington about the misappropriation of some of those funds. How are you allowing some of those concerns? We are implementing when it comes to the Ministry of Defense since almost day one of this war. We were implementing, for example, the procurement systems which are of NATO standard, the so called for example, log fast system. So these are the same systems as I used by all NATO member countries. And of course, we are improving them on a daily basis. And of course, the Ministry of Defense is open and welcomes always our counterparties from different ally countries to come and visit and see that for themselves. Everything we receive goes straight to the battlefield and is used efficiently thereby our army. So when it comes to transparency, we are open.

"Is poised to announce it will provide its main M1 Abrams battle tank to Ukraine, there have been growing calls to send Ukraine more advanced weapons, including from NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg. The only way to last in peace is to make it clear to Putin that he will not win on the battlefield. Good morning Anna. So yes, so the UK conversation sort of having these glimmers of positivity ever since we saw that sort of surprise upwards GDP figure from earlier this month. And there have been been these sort of stories in the papers about Tory MPs pushing for tax cuts in the march budget, but the times have gotten hold of this OBR private submission to the treasury, where they say, although the recession might be short from shower this year, the medium term growth, that's about maybe two to 5 years away, is looking much, much, much bleaker. Now, why does any kind of forecast matter even more from the OBR? It's set to wipe out all of the government's 9 billion pound headroom and given the public sector borrowing figures yesterday came in nearly 10 billion pounds ahead above target and the energy build are sort of kicking the government finances. It could have a real impact on how much cash Jeremy hunt has to spend and the next phobia forecast is set to be the one that forms the basis of treasury planning for the budget. So it all adds up to a very gloomy picture Mark Carney former governor of banking that is quota from the time of saying the UK faces the most difficult position of all major world economies. James, how do you actually said 9 pound headroom? I don't think I would have actually turned ahead that much at the thought of that. Anyway, let's turn to the telegraph next, writing about the treasuries, turning to households for a cheaper borrowing at my household. Well, I mean, if you do have 9 pounds, maybe you'd want to put it into a premium bond at the national savings and investments back, which is where the government sells all of its sort of large bonds to retailer investors is putting up its rates. And so the telegraph have this fascinating story about how the government is turning to homeowners and households and kind of eels know about the kinds of strangers the UK relies on in the bonds market. It's now looking for the kindness of individual UK investors. And why is it doing this is almost more interesting, Steven, because they want to both tap into cheaper cash because it's cheaper with the growing interest rates than going onto the financial markets. They also want to diversify the government debt portfolio because after the meltdown after the mini budget last year, having local investors as well as foreign ones gives them more maneuver if things start going wrong. And the third fetch this too, the OBR again rear their head and say that the government's windfall tax on oil and gas raised about 600 million pounds less than expected so they need to try and find that financing from somewhere. US sending $275 million in military aid to Ukraine
"The Biden administration is expected to announce a new package of military aid for Ukraine. I'm Ben Thomas with the latest. U.S. officials tell the AP the latest package includes large amounts of ammunition. 80,000 rounds for howitzers and an undisclosed amount for the high mobility artillery rocket system, known as high Mars. It also includes high-tech systems to detect encountered drones, also more humvees, generators, and other combat equipment. In all, it's about $275 million worth. Smaller than most of the recent packages the U.S.'s delivered, but it comes as many military officials and experts predict a reduction in attacks over the winter. I was pleased to hear from virtue everyone that this support to Ukraine will continue as long as necessary. And the U.S. among those pledging continued support meanwhile, Ukraine's energy minister says Ukraine needs high voltage equipment that can be repaired quickly to get through We have seen a sharp drop in stock price in equally short rebound. So this is going to be slower. It's not going to go up in a straight line. It will be setbacks. Probably we're going to enter a trading range somewhere. So in order to go into China, you have to be a fairly aggressive investment mindset. Hans, does this necessarily mean the shift in COVID policy does it necessarily mean that there is going to be less in the way of accommodation coming from kind of the traditional sources like the PBOC? Yes, that could be possible, but of course they have to shore up the economy. I mean, I have to have two things. Number one, the debt level, which is very high. So that has to be careful not to overstimulate on the other hand, of course, the economy has slowed down considerably, shows considerable weakness and we have seen with the reserve prime ratio cut last week that they have serious in trying to support the economy. But if the opening happens in the results, it's actually a question of when. Then, of course, they can pull back on some of these stimulus, but as I said, this is going to take time. When we continue the conversation, Hans, I'm curious as to whether you are forecasting a global recession as we look to the new year. And if that's the case, when does it begin and how deep or shallow will it be? I'd also like to talk a little bit about some of the political risks

"Let's play some sound here from Donald Trump, who this is how he used to talk to these people, Merkel and many others. This is just over a meal, NATO meeting, Trump pointing how it's ridiculous that Germany will buy energy from Russia while America protects them. Play cut one O 7. Well, I have to say, I think it's very sad when Germany makes a massive oil and gas deal with Russia where you're supposed to be guarding against Russia and Germany goes out and pays billions and billions of dollars a year to Russia. So we're protecting Germany. We're protecting France. We're protecting all of these countries. And then numerous of the countries go out and make a pipeline deal with Russia where they're paying billions of dollars into the coffers of Russia. You were probably there, Rick, you know, at that meeting or tangentially to that, straight to the Germans face, your reaction of how things have changed. Well, that was a NATO meeting and you see Jens Stoltenberg, the NATO head sitting across from president Trump. And he has been extremely complimentary of president Trump. Saying thank you for the billions of dollars that have come in to NATO since Trump was really the leverage to tell countries pay your fair share. And so, you know, I have been in the meetings with Merkel with Chancellor Merkel, the president said, look, I don't blame you trying to make the American taxpayer pay for your safety. But it's not smart. You need to pay your Bill and by the way, you're feeding the beast when you don't pay your bill at NATO and at the same time you're giving money and doing deals with Russia, which is why NATO started to exist in the first place. And so the hypocrisy was called out by president Trump. And, you know, I'm not breaking any news when I tell you that president Trump, one cent Chancellor Merkel, a white flag.
