We looped it back into here. What were we saying to ourselves? So you mentioned the time to mesh for super teams. Yeah. And obviously, as a heat fan, I've seen that happen. I've seen, I've seen the exact way that that can go poorly and well. Both ways for that Miami Heat big three team, which I think is kind of analogous to both of these teams. And you look at and then you look at someone like the warriors with Steph, Steph Curry and company bringing in Kevin Durant. That was plug and plug. That was the way I could be a little bit more like this. I think the interesting part of this, Christie, is so obviously these three players have never played together in the WNBA. But they spent one season together altogether, and you catching bird, the Russian team overseas, that they all played, they all played together, they won the Euro league. You look at the numbers for stewie and John cull in those seasons. They were great together. And they really learned how to play off each other. So I think that experience is going to at least shorten the gap for those three. True. And then you look at the team though, and hey, there's people who have sacrificed. People have to give up touches, minutes, you know, roles. I floated the idea of maybe putting banana on the bench and then having her come in and letting her have time to cook on her own or even just doing that as a rotation. But you think about it and it's like, this team is going to have an all star on the floor. Have multiple ulcers on the floor pretty much at all times. And you get to get to the point where you are thinking about like a coach. I want to talk about it a little bit more. Because I'm sitting here and I'm like, hey, you know, I'm watching, you know, Connecticut tape will Seattle take a little bit of Phoenix stuff from when sandy was there. And I'm like, hey, you know, she could take this play and put it there and put it there. And then I'm thinking, why? Do you have to do it? Do you just say, hey, here's the balls. You guys are the best basketball players in the world. You all figure it out. And it's just like, how can you double anybody on this team, Christy? Yeah, well, I think you have to think of it that way. I mean, if you're a sandy Brando, it's not just, you know, have a seat in the chair and you know along for the ride. I mean, but you do trust that they obviously understand the game at an elite level because a lot of them are Olympians, a lot of them, you know what I mean? Like they understand the assignment, for sure. But at the same time, she understands the assignment as a coach. I mean, she's coached internationally for the opals. You know what I mean with the Australian national team. So let's give her her creative credit when it comes to. And I'm not saying you didn't, but I'm just saying like, oh yeah, no, no, no. You can trust them. This is where this is where coach trusts their players, okay? And you know this now as a coach. And you can agree or disagree with what I'm about to say. It

Where better for Brianna to push her agenda for equal pay and treatment of female athletes. She's lobbied the WNBA to allow players to travel on private charter flights rather than fly commercial. "You are not on Twitter, hop on Twitter if you're not following along with on all of the social media with different WNBA ties, that's where you need to be paying attention because that's when things start to really come about because that's when the player contracts start to be signed. That's when things start to become official and announcements are made. If you're watching that, the negotiation starts on the 21st, but February 1st is when things start to become official. Obviously there's going to be a lot of rumors going on between those two days and then more solidified information on the February 1st. So pay attention as that's coming up. All right, now that we've given you all the background and hopefully, you know, for those of you who have done this before, you maybe just sped up through that portion, which is totally fine. If you did. But with all of that, this might be the crazy, maybe not the crazies because we haven't seen what happened, but I think the most star power that is available through free agency that I've ever seen in the league in the last 5 plus years that we've been covering the league. Am I way off base there? Am I just not remembering other seasons as well? Or would you guys agree that the star power, the big names this year are like, pick a big name in there probably a free agent. That's hard to measure because I think some of it, when you go off the potential movement, it's pretty big. I will say, Candace going to Chicago is a hard one to match, but for instance, we'll talk about this, but if we see a brief Stewart end up in New York, then yeah, I mean, the potential that's huge. I will say a terms of dialog and coverage, a discussion, the league is ever gradually gearing closer and closer to the world of free agency being a disgust event in itself. People always make a joke about the M and B that free agency is more popular on social than the actual season itself. That it's like to become a reality show into its own. It's become big discussion. Right. And while obviously the WNBA is more near that level of drama, we're getting to a point where dialog within free agency is becoming more of a thing. So I would say it's hard to measure if star power wise, this is as big a free agency, but it really does feel like a breach, a big free agency or in that we've seen more narrative passed around than we've ever seen before. And because of that, you slowly are potentially learning more about certain players in certain teams and understanding just what the impact of these moves can be, and it makes it pretty exciting. Whether or not that all stands to be true is what it is, but that's like we all know what the truth will be when the truth happens until then the rumor mill is kind of the prettiest girl, the prettiest person of the dance. I had to make that equal, but yeah, I think that's what speaks to it. But in terms of star power, I think it was pretty strong. I mean, we look at the names involved and just how much could fall, you know, I'll put it this way. The domino effect of when a certain move happens, you're going to start to see things go nuts. That explosion stands to potentially be as big as it's ever been. I think that's a fair statement, Steve. I think that being able to say that when one large domino falls this year, it really could have a big impact on a lot of other things. And I understand that there is going to be some negotiation that's going to happen behind the scenes. You know, we may hear rumors about stewie's going to be going a certain place, and if that's the case, then maybe that team now has some additional leverage to sign other players and we may see some of that, maybe that those discussions are going to start happening behind closed doors. Maybe players are going to wait, oh man, okay, stewie did sign with, let's say New York, now, you know, now that New York offer might seem a little bit more appealing to other players. So I think that's a pretty fair statement. Logan, can we start, I got a question for you since I just want to really get into some of this. There are a lot of teams with a lot of cap space this year. Yes. I'm just going to rattle off a few of them here. Really, there's 5 teams that have significant cap space that would be the Seattle storm are over a million dollars in cap space. The sparks with just barely under a $1 million in cap space, the dream at 942,000 Chicago sky 931,000 and Phoenix mercury with 8 81. Everybody else in the league is around 500 or less, but those 5, it seems like they just have a ton of money to go out and do a lot with that. Logan, if you are one of those teams, give me some of the players right out the gate that you immediately want to start contacting as soon as that February 21st date happens. First of all,

"Izzy Harrison as an unrestricted and then maybe in mccown is restricted. So I think when you look at this roster, you bring in a new coach, I would hope, because like let's be blunt, right? We know when it comes to Dallas wings, a lot of the quote unquote issues have been higher than the coach. And so for me, I'm sitting there going, okay, are they going to let LT craft her own team out of who is on this roster currently? Is she going to have the ability to say, hey, I know Charlie Collier was a top pick. I know we've invested a lot in her, but she doesn't fit my vision for this team. And we need to move her for the cap space to do or the roster spot to do. If there's going to be given that control to LT, which I without reason, right? Question if pass coaches have had that ability, that control. I would say if LT does get that control, we're going to see a lot of players on this roster to be moved and not shocking players if you watch the league, but I just think that's a team that we could see do some moves to bring in a noteworthy free agent or make a trade. Well, and I mean, just to echo what you're saying. Not just Dallas, but I mean, we have 5 franchises with coaching changes. 5 grant 5 franchises, you know, that have just undergone massive shifts in just kind of vision and direction and leadership. So, you know, you could say that about Connecticut, you can say it about LA. I mean, all eyes on that. We've been talking about LA LA to the last few years just about what could this team be? You will now, you've got the builder of all builders there. And in Kurt Miller, okay? What are these moves? What is the strategy this free agency to at least make this a competitive enough team, a playoff team again, a team with good chemistry, you know, to where you're positioning yourself trending in the right direction. We're now appealing to top free agents, not that LA is not appealing right now. I just don't know that they want to be, you know, exactly, and say, that, heyday, you know, oh, no, totally. I mean, LA is one of those teams where they're trending the right direction, but and as of now, I think LA similar to what you were saying about Seattle and stewie is like kind of the domino four free agency. For LA, I think their first signing is going to be important because you're going to have to be like, I don't want to say it's a House of Cards because that sounds bad. But it's going to be a house of focusing on getting somebody who can raise eyebrows of other players, right? So that you can go, hey, we have a lot of cap space in LA and that's fine and dandy and everyone wants to play in LA because a big market and who doesn't want to play in LA for a variety of reasons whether being a major one also obviously. But they need to sign somebody who kind of makes everyone else go, oh. So that's what we're doing here. This is what we're building around. What else? Who else are they going to add? And the more people you add that raise eyebrows, the more you return it to its higher status, even though they miss the playoffs, even though there's coaching change and realistically are they contender right now, no. You know what I mean? No, we have a lot to look forward to here in the next coming weeks. There's going to be a lot of news. A lot of changes, a lot of teams, a lot of franchise is going to look completely different. But hey, that's what this time of year is about, right? So I would imagine the next time we're on here, just you and I just kind of shooting it. There's going to be a lot of different things that have already already moved. So clearly free agency wraps up in February, but we'll start having some information and we'll start here and stuff out there on the Twitter Twitter sphere here. But anyway, it really I watched it in two days and it did not get more satisfying towards the end. So that's my patty. And then that's like 9 hours of your life. You're not gonna get back. Yeah, like now I got nothing left to look forward to. I was like, look, but we'll actually now I'm looking forward to the dropout. So I hope it doesn't suck. I think it's gonna be pretty good. When stewie locks them up in the cellar on the chains and then he puts like an infomercial on and it's on loop and they're constantly repeating it, repeating it repeating it and then when they end the show, they go down there and the two guys are there and they're reciting what the infomercial is and they do it in synchronicity and they just constantly over. I wonder if people who binge our show because I read this same anti update thing every week and like I almost closed my eyes when I do it now because I can do it by memory almost completely. And I just wonder if there's people out there just like with their eyes or glazed over their droning on. They're like, joining any of fans goof Facebook page, and get feedback on it, you know. "What do you think? Yeah, I. Think it's interesting because it's super loyalty to the organization to this point in her career. Makes me feel like everyone there is a fixture, but I don't know. I don't know how set in stone stewie and Lloyd are in continuing their careers with Seattle, especially I mean, Seattle won the title, what was it two, three years ago? But in 2020 and in 2020, 2020 and 2018 with the big three, those are the two seasons they got the titles with those three. Yeah. But that being said is that's not what we saw this last year and you know and so I can see one of those players saying like, hey, I'm gonna go try my look somewhere else. And so I would be a little bit nervous as management going to stewie and saying like, hey, would you be interested in a little bit less money because stewie might just say, no, I can get max money from ten out of the 12 teams in the league. I'm gonna go get it. And so, you know, I think Dallas, Dallas being the one without it because they have exactly. Because they're not gonna make phone calls. So those are the two teams that aren't gonna. But yeah, for that, I would just like, if Sue bird is going to pull the Tom Brady and take less, I could see that happening. I don't know what's in superb head though. But I'd be really hesitant to even approach that with loiter stewie because they may just say, well, if you don't value me, somebody else does, and I'm going to go there. I agree. I think Canada is a priority for Seattle. I think that wins suburb does retire. I think Canada is primed and ready to take over as your shot color on the court. So yeah, I think Canada is a priority for me. A lot of the other ones, I mean, you can trade out some of these players. They're good players, but if you lost Mercedes Russell or a Katie or Carly Liu, Samuelson, or Sierra bird those are names that you can find somebody else to pull in and kind of fill that same role. So Canada's my priority, you know you've got suburb in the bag and so really I'm just being really careful and I'd probably just try to make the numbers work to where I'm offering full contracts to Lloyd and stewie and just not even risk it. That'd be my approach. Yeah. I like it. Yeah, again, Seattle could have either the most boring free agency or an absolutely wild agency in 2022. So we'll see what happens. But I feel for Tina Charles, she's so good and went through a couple really rough seasons in New York. It didn't play in 2020, went to Washington where everybody expect, oh yeah, title contender, and then missed the playoffs after giving an MVP type season. Didn't win the MVP, but could have. Man, I get it for her. She's just like, can I just go somewhere where we're gonna win? And so Washington, I have no idea what to think about Washington. I have zero predictions, Jason. I don't know if the people in the actual organization themselves have a super solid idea of what the future is going to hold for this team. So with that, what are your predictions? So I think that's kind of just a given there. But you know I think that she's gonna she's gonna stay there. I think she's gonna get that super X contract. And yeah, I mean, she just got the MVP. What else do you just got the MVP? Yeah, you're fine. She's only 28 years old. She's going to be she's got several years left in the league and she's right in her prime. She's in that sweet spot right now. Where you see Jones stewie Wilson, those big three right there, those three names, which ironically, all three of them are unrestricted free agents that are excuse me. Jones and stewie are unrestricted. Age Wilson is a restricted free agent. But all three of them, you have to give them every penny because they're worth every penny. So I think Jones is probably staying. If it's if I give my crystal ball out, but after that, I'm not sure what kinetic is going to do. They've got half a $1 million in cap space. If they resign John quell, they've still got some money to play. But they've still got some chips on the table. Just to jump ahead, I think I saw, I'm trying to verify it. But so those players are looking like they're going to stick around with the sun. So take some of that money away. John was going to get supermax. Yeah. No, I think Connecticut's roster is mostly tied up. And because of that, you're not going to see huge moves, which goes directly against what my new year's resolution was for them. They need to do something big and shocking. I think leaving January off and going for maybe somebody who's a little bit younger that you might be able to get for not a maxed out contract but has a lot of potential and then try to develop them. Maybe that's a move that you make during free agency. I also, yeah, they've just got to figure something out to add some spice because as we talked about in our new year's resolution episode, they've got the formula to get 95% of the way there. But that's the farthest they ever get. And at some point you want to click over that last 5% make it, make it to the end. But yeah, I don't see I don't see Connecticut being super active in free agency. If they're going to make moves, it could come in draft trades or it could come in..
