She shows me an ad and they're not cold pup tubes but they though to their mehta comeback but finally nothing being advertised as like really good toys for kids with autism. Okay 'cause they do all the things that make cool noises and you can build with him and they obviously do all the things that you need for you know i. I don't know if you need to call them. The kid or simulate the brain in a certain way and they is an ad on youtube for this local boys. But i think it's in america but the ads we were seeing on unlike local social media there now called pop cubes autism toys. Basically it's populist. I'd made it coming up. This little. Robots top one year with the long nose. Remember that one. No you both whatever you want to. They literally just but they made the coolest noise when you look at them and pull them apart. It was like the plastic tube with lots of pieces that you would pull apart and you could bend it and twisted and bold with him that i kind of into locked with each other and you could you know. I don't know make you could connect him to make things happen to mine. I had loads of them as a kid who knows where they went or my in trouble now that i not keep them because my kid really. What's the exactly you could've kept it because there's no way one thousand nine hundred plastic ever was degradable. It's still probably something. I'm sure they just fine slightly faded but still very toxic and poisonous anyway appoints. Check out the add up page. Because it'll take you right back if you do vague your minimum this. Of course go for ride cruising around so it gets the private jet and everybody when she gets back on the play in the hall of fleetwood. Mac's like yeah. What happened with you guys. And she's like no. We did nothing like yeah sure. Whatever so this musical collaborations to amazing relationship between the two until his death. How about that. How's it'll come out now and it wasn't the loss of the collaboration because stevie nicks sprints if he'd like to team up on another tune in response he saints her the demo of the title track to purple rain and also wrote lyrics for it. I love it. Stevie nicks just goes while prince. What you can have half the royalties. Could you inspired me. Prince he didn't take the royalties by the way he just shot up in school. Just as long as i can play on the album. And he's been credited on on that song and so we could. You'd think that he would be like sir arrogant demanding very interesting. You must have had a thing for stevie nicks. Maybe i think could be net. Doesn't we got very excited this week. Very excited right now because david hasselhoff new album in the works party you hassle off and it seems like a lot of cover songs so well. I'm not judging. I love the half a few weeks ago. The the title track or the the main track. The passenger comes out the pop song. He's launched a new one a bit more upbeat than the passenger. Although david heslop everything's upbeats with him sweet caroline the neil diamond song which one of course and play a little snippet. You god what's what's joy. Take a listen to this. Oh you must love catching going on there. I have to say you must know that every time he says hands touching hands in the video. He's touching hands rod holding hands touching hand. Ses ends to get to make the action as we heard a few weeks ago. I love him he i really do think he's the looks amazing for his age. I mean he does more than likely had worked but he's very good work done. That's what i'm saying. You know he really does. And what i like in this music is all the troops are there. He's walking along a beach and he's driving a black car in a leather jacket. So i mean not has left does not do cheese by excellences over. "stevie nicks" Discussed on Pop Shop
"A mike. There's a fucking tapping on pop radio each. It's so funny to me And great and awesome and that comes like again. That's postie being like dua guitars. Like it's a ozzy salt lake. Let's make this a ahtisaari coming from a fan perspective. Like every ozzy song has a great guitar solo right Classic whether it's randy rhoads zack. Wild or stuff sabbath or jackie lee later. You know that they're just the you wanna hear the solos so you know it was posts encouragement and then the thing happens with pressure. Where hey you're doing a solo on an ozzy song so step the fuck up and i like pressure. I like being made to perform god who perform right. Now you know and so it was just. It was so much fun. I think chad was over while i was doing solo. And he's always like the best cheerleader. Because it's like it's good enough for chad. Maybe maybe it's good enough for everyone else. That's out like. I always think in terms of the guitar parts. We caney mean i realize like we could sit here and geek out for wild but i wanna truthfully say that like haiti and i have said like there are so many of your songs in past few years. Richest like man. This is so amazing. Lake the the miley record like five sauce. Like it's just it's just sort of insane kind of the the breadth of the production. And this is where i was gonna say something about stevie nicks but that will just fall into a rabbit hole probably sudden right now. Now you can man all good did you. Did you actually get to interact with stevie in any capacity or was it all through email or something i did. It was really really great We were working on the song And poor speaking sky odyssey the remixed version. Just one. yeah that was. Yeah you know when we were doing the song and the song has it's obvious not edges seventeen Miley reached out to stevie being. you know. she's so. Respectful are creators of of You know lineage. Of music realtor to show the song and be like. Hey you know this has a little nod to you. I hope this is cool and stevie in stevie fashion which now i know 'cause i got to talk to her a little bit was so receptive and so cool and was like i don't even hear the similarity besides that guitar rhythm. I love the song. It's so great. So it was kind of like the natural progression which that in her doing doing the remix And then you know we were. We were working on it and talking to her over the phone because there's in covid. Her assistant actually recorded vocals in her apartment. And we were kind of sending them back and forth doing notes together and she stays up real late really so you know i would get this call from an unknown number after she would hear the next bounce and i remember kind of fallen asleep in my bed one night talking stevie nicks about Just we've just got into a whole conversation about the world and then it was kinda one of those things where i was like kind of dozing off until an amazing dream. Steve is talking to hello still kinda kinda there. But if felt like a dream and it was a dream And we had to work through the wee hours night to kind of get it done in time for when they all wanted to come out But another situation where is like is this fucking real like you know steve. You know that song is one of the greatest recordings ever And then i got to get the multi tracks and fucking listening to them in the studio playing listen to those drums by themselves and listening to that amazing waddy wachtel guitar by itself. And and sit with it in my. It was what inspired me to make the other songs so it was it was just really kind of surreal and amazing and those kinds of things you know you you just do for the love of music and it's like one of the one of the perks of doing this amazing job. Is that you get to connect with you know people that have touched you in the reason. Why your ear and it's never lost on me and i'm so grateful for the opportunity to do that. You know i love. I love the fact that what can like is is a student of liner notes. Knows all the guitarist and players on all these incredible records. And as i am by dad had a huge crate. Vinyls as a kid and i sat and i went through every single lawn and read every single thing. And who's playing those horns on on the odds michio parker who's like learning all those guys you know just a those guys are the shit and that's that's what. I became a studio musician playing on other people's records and stuff like that like you said who's a qatar player on the post malone song like this just you know you hear something that touches you needs to be able to flip over record and says it boom right there A student of liner notes. The best way. I've ever heard it put my thing all let you take it away from here and do what you want to take what you want. I would like to do and say thank you so much for talking to us today. We really appreciate it and can't wait to hear more music from you coming soon working on right now and just kind of run outside because i could realize that through my basically you might be able to hear something. I was working on that. We didn't we didn't have. It's probably just stevie nicks recording her next album with you wish. Can we just make that happen. Let's just wishing to the universe. Nato happen that would be so cool. We really appreciate it. Thank you guys had a blast. Thank you be good. Thanks no.

Paul Simon Sells Catalog to Sony Music Publishing
"Simon was selling his song catalog. Yeah, he's joined the ranks of some other music greats. I think you and I talked about Bob Dylan. Not that long ago, but Paul Simon has has done the same. He sold his entire song catalog to Sony Music. And the deal that the terms of that were not disclosed, But you know the same with Bob Dylan when Bob Dylan's sold his. It was estimated to be about three worth about $300 million, so you can kind of guess Paul Simon's probably in that same neighborhood, But Neil Young did this recently. Stevie Nicks has done this, and it's kind of joining these music greats that are selling off their their song catalog. So we'll see what happens there. You know, when Neil Young did it, he was very specific about these cannot be in jingles. Thieves cannot be. He had some rules about what couldn't could not happen to his songs. So we'll see. I think more will emerge about about Paul Simon here. But when you think about, you know the late fifties, when he started with Art Garfunkel, just the body of work since then, that's a lot of music.

Chelsea Coaching Carousel Continues
"Lampard site as chelsea the stevie nicks and don hutchinson here to discuss that decision. St let's start simply showy. Was it fair. i don't think he's fear. No the problem is that we're talking about a club that's not normal. We're talking about club that regardless of the name of the manager regardless of the cv yelich or experience or whatever it may be when you lose so many games You don't get a chance to to get back your way. You may have been before you lose games. You lose your job. That's kind of their immortal. And so frank just falls into the into the spot where others before him. Have you lose goodbye. don't they. Size it in the statement. They weren't saying any particular progress under lampard fair. I think that's fair. I do think though he should not have been more time. Try and get his way out about for me to goodful missile and such distances all full still in the last sixteen. The jump zeke's but there's a couple of performances at the end of last season stall will season not worried that three down against west brom come back to three three sat on in game. Gema chelsea will unbelievable for forty five minutes and fought in southampton that drew dot three three will hang towards the end of the game so this being being games where he got himself into goodful. There's one periods on november december. Where the at the most clean sheets in the league and there was sitting On december the fifth on never had them is titled favorites. I didn't get carried away. And nor did frank on each Will not ready for title challenge. Anatomy bottle molested performance. Really worried may done. thousand tuna. Lost lostock could easily have been five six. But i still think you know if you'll wrote abramovich annual no the board of directors at chelsea. You must understand that. Frank lampard chelsea is going to have a difficult time. It's just not gonna come into legend and tried to call plate while cloth Lots in in a pet quality ola and marino. It's going to be difficult for him so when you are in difficult times. I would've thought. I would shut him a little bit loyalty and more only little bit patients and if it didn't work out in a month salmon chelsea was still in his position then tell them to stop in time and just seems a little bit off. What was it. What was the last straw. Well not not the luton game because they wanted strange when you suck someone to win we even. If it's in the autumn of to hold up in the league for example. I think he's an accumulation of things like the boys of said. The results haven't been good enough. He's the manager of the abramovich era with the lowest point tally per game again which is just not good enough. It's not good enough the performances that they've put the way they played no identity and we at the end of january. Now no patterns of plano star. There's nothing you can see really in the game. They played too many defeats sunday in the last six weeks and i think he also pays the difficult relationship behind with marina. Grownups difficult relationship that he had some of the dressing room. Certainly the fight. That tim of hobbies have failed so far to establish themselves in. That team is also on him. He can argue that he wanted can ride. I didn't think the team was balanced. He needed a bit more time. Whatever excuses he can come up with. I think overall is just not good enough and and we've seen in the past sake managers who've won great things like marino konchalovsky and keeping some like sorry like to finish the season and finished with with with a trophy as well for he must have. It was the right time to change and to bring much to what you don. I'm not hearing of drought. Jody morris a texas I wouldn't i wouldn't bombard the Text because a frat will be hutton. And so so. We'll jody morris But front knows. I think he's he said dot stipends not nice disappointed in raleigh saw. I'm not just go back to the bigger picture dot unless i'm naive. When you see other gonna solve show on your say mccullough frontline pod come into the league expected to win the premier league. Expect to get close to wouldn't jump. His legs latte is so difficult and you say we'll all these. I mean. this guy was going to be cycling. They when they failed to qualify for the last sixteen of the jump zig and went out ridiculously early on bodily as well or not. it was under pressure. Walk two months ago. An authentic turn things around episodes slowly. All he's not sitting tilt the league's just think a little bit of patients unfortunately talked about chelsea and night on any monitor patients when they win the league a win the very biggest these japanese. They still pull the trigger. Do you think he's biggest. Mistake has been the when you go and spend so much money on attacking players and you come to the halfway stage of the season. Nobody knows what your front four is going to be. Then i think. I if i'm looking at that from their point of view swirl ho ho long do we give this guy t saw how we're going to go forward because right now you've probably got what seven or eight players vying for four squats and we have had every single combination and we still don't know come come saturday afternoon. Who's going to. Who's going to step forward and plan that front force. Or i would suggest that's been his biggest mistake.
The Dylan catalog, a 60-year rock 'n' roll odyssey, is sold
"I got a question for you. Are you doing fan. Bob dylan fan. I'm okay with them. But i'm not a hardcore you bet. If you're if you don't like dylan you better get ready. Because you're going to hear a lot more dylan. I'm telling you why. After i tell you about shed concrete this homeowners and builders out there you know what i'm gonna tell you. My brother-in-law greg at the folks that shake crete they have a huge selection of pre cast concrete steps. You got to check this out. There's a tv commercial. Maybe they have to upgrade the steps. That's how you do it. Most cases can remove your old stairs and heavy walking a new set of front steps within hours. And just like that. Your host looks better houses worth more and maybe trying to sell it. Maybe it helps you sell it. It's new steps they can. They can really help you move that old home and make it look better and so quicker you can learn more about chase pre cast concrete steps steps at a concrete dot com to stop by one of their four state of the ad for scillies. All over new england. I bob dylan. And i love these stories because this this is what the taylor swift it. Which means that they will wake up and actually have some interest in this topic. Talking about my girl taylor. Swift sold her music catalog to what's his name scooter braun. Oh yeah and then complains. After bob dylan sold his music library for three hundred million dollars. That's right And by the way He sold is popularly. Seventy eight which is another one of those amazing miracles. The bob dylan still around still kicking. Well did you hear what he said about this jerry region. But here's what's going to happen you me. We'll be watching You know football game. We're watching wednesday night football thursday night football tuesday night. Football game mini mini games That around these days and there's gonna be a commercial for flow or he'll be commercial for you name it Gimme gimme some tv for apple apple. Lot of apple commercials. That's a good one apple amazon target. And it'll be Some of my friend is blowing in the wind blowing in the wind or something blue. What's blue some blue jet blue. And they'll be tangled up in blue. You'll go what bob dylan. His stuff is going to be of vera readily available companies to put in tv commercials. Because bob dylan sold out. It's bob dylan's if you don't like it if you think you know that he's Not that kind of guy that he wouldn't ever seventy-nine by the way he sold out. He took the money. God bless him his family's gonna why he needs the money but his family is going to be fabulously wealthy for generations but companies like target nap bullen and whatever flow what is flow sell insurance. Press gress yes i defense. They're going to be able to play. Dylan's pay whatever the going rate is and they could play it and you'll hear it all over the place just like you here. You know the rolling stones in some cases or taylor swift and other artists who was amazing. When i read the story it was about some of the other artists of fleetwood. Mac sold theirs for like. I get the number here here. It is eighty million dollars they sold. It wasn't even the whole catalog eighty million dollars. Fleetwood mac and dillon skate. Like columbine could probably name more wallflower songs and he can bog way. Bob dole i. It's right over my head. I have no idea i look. I'm surprised he got three hundred million. Based on the fact that that ship has sailed a long time ago dylan receives a lump sum between two hundred and four hundred I'm not sure what the what. The stevie nicks sold their publishing catalog for eighty million dollars. The dylan portfolio six hundred songs while other bands who have sold their catalogs sold. You know taking the money. Blondie barry manilow and the estates of john lennon and kurt cobaine. I believe john lennon the beatles. Paul mccartney bought them for like a ridiculous amount of money Like eight hundred million. Paul mccartney owns well. Didn't jackson by michael jackson and then mccray jackson and a falling out story there. But there's only one to look up jerry. Three hundred million eighty million two hundred to four hundred million. What did what did brian. Wilson's father sell the beach boys catalogue for another against the wishes without the kids. Even knowing and i think he sold it for like seventy dollars and a coke or something new never spoke to his father again obviously but if the beach boys is the one you would want because of the catchy jingles. Yeah that's true point and that the father sold it for nothing. He had no idea what he had. And what the value of wasn't a guy goes. Hey i'm gonna dig deep here. I'll give you five hundred dollars. Whereas i sold and brian wilson was never the same after it happened. It's a good point. But i think dylan's got a lot of those you know catch even though they you know might be whatever. The revolutionary songs at times they are a change in blowing in the wind and songs like that which will which will fit nicely in commercials. And we'll be sick of them all with and i'm sure he had control over it and limited the exposure but i guarantee you. He sold the rights to some two songs to some commercials. I assume right Yeah i guess. So i mean i don't blame me if you're gonna die soon and you wanna take care of you. Offspring kids grandkids. You say. What the hell. What do i care if not be capitalizing on all the different changes that are going on in the music industry. I bet it's like a five person team that he has controlling the catalog right. Like it's a he. He owns time. Bob no one said a need the money for anything the the couple couple of years ago. Long before covid were dylan on went on tour and performed at three hundred nights in a year three hundred nights in one year deal and he was like seventy five and i don't know anyone that went to see him. He wasn't playing the big rooms anymore but he's just addicted to performing and singing his songs and i must have just an insane amount of money already. I mean just. But it's like what bob cousy sold all his Collectibles always memorabilia. He said what do i need it for. This is going to pay for my grandkids education. And can you blame him for that. I wouldn't. I'm a big lira. Guy when it comes to rock and roll. If you consider dylan rock and roll and dylan for what i again. He's not my bag particularly. I don't have any bob dylan on my phone. But his his lyrics. If back on my i always think that you know if you get ten best lyrics of all time. You don't need a whether they know which way the wind blows is one of the great lines right and i'm with you. I'm a lear. Emma word man to and i love you know singing along to whatever tangled up in blue and he. He won the nobel prize for whatever writing. Poetry didn't show up for the award. You know. I believe. I believe greta thune. Berg was second so she'd go toward for him but no he won the nobel prize. I think he blew the market and show up to get the thing and these the only singer or songwriter to win to win it

"We would Max. Having a re is having a resurgence with because of a lot of things, especially that tic tac of the guy and that's really the cranberry juice guy. But I got to say now I saw rials and I can't keep up with any of this. Nor do I watch them so, but it was When you open your phone sometime, it takes you right to rials. And it was a bunch of hot, cute 20 something girls in which hats dancing to dreams. Yeah, well, the white waves shoot. Yeah. Yeah, I know. We had a lot of Stevie Nicks last year because I was Stevie Nicks last year for Halloween. Actually all you were, Yeah, I went to a Halloween party as because I wore her. I were her on the on my shirt like Jake's shirt, the giant one that he wore to school. And then I had a fringe E brown jacket. Yeah, that's cute. I was C B next last year. Um, this year I'm a gorilla, I guess. And then I have to tell you that tonight I'm going to do a retrospective of Jake's Halloween costumes on He really has a current. All the colonel is like for my favorite. Yep. Malone Montoya. I forgot about that guy. Yeah, I know. And then he was something Star Wars. He he was a dead tantan don't know what that was either, but I know it was. It was a dead Tom Tom. That was may be one of my favorites. Honestly, because the whole neighbor he went to a neighborhood party, and it was every Star Wars theme. So there are all these job Waas running around and they take a group photo in front of our garage. And there's like all these, like, you know, Princess layers and you know all these like kids. Do you know what their star wars things and then Jake is dead on the ground as a dead time. Time was the best. And then last year he was, ah. He's been posting on last year. He was Buddy Christ from the Dogma movies, you know, Jeez, and then because he looks like Jesus, sometimes he does. So he was. That's what we got him and then this year I don't if I should reveal it or not. It's a pretty It's a pretty wide. It's a pretty goes along with his theme. It's not anything shocking. No, you have to reveal. Okay, I'll reveal he's He's going to be Big Lebowski this year. Oh, yeah, he is dealing with that dude, and he will abide. I'm just going to go get him some chocolate milk for his white Russians. You know, Phil area, you know, it's pretty good. All right, so it is that here's the other thing. This is this is literally the thing of The other day were. It was the other day we're sitting around going. We don't have any Halloween candy in the house right now. Me neither. We had started with a bunch of races and then they're gone. And then we had some kid cats and they're gone. And this was like early October as part of the soothing thing, right? And then we're just like There's no howling candy in the house. And then it became a thing of cakes like I'm gonna go get some. And I said, Okay, and then it became an argument about what are you going to get? Because normally I obviously do all the picking of the Candies in the bags everything else. But thinking that he may pick the wrong bag that was creating unnecessary stress for you going. You houses what we're stressed about in covert. I would rather be stressed about candy than everyone else In this week. I will take the candy stress over everything else I dealt with this week. But let me tell you that I couldn't decide on where he's like. Well, what if they don't have this? And what if they don't have this? And so I'm making my decisions now, like not seeing things versus when I'm usually there. "The charts again. And I was just curious as to why and now I'm beginning to understand why, Because the other day someone sent me a video of this guy with the shaved head. Rolling down the street on a skateboard drinking ocean spray cranberry juice listening to Fleetwood Mac. And I watched it. I thought, Well, I don't get it. I don't know what this is about. And I don't know what it was. I said, What about watching here? What? I shall speak picking up. I don't see anything. I know it's like I was doing interviews on T M Z and I'm thinking who is this guy is he's some unknown guy that distorts hadn't sprung up. People are going. Wow, This guy's cool. Whatever right now, the given ocean, the ocean spray company gives him a truck. Mickley Wouldn't and Stevie Nicks like. Yeah, We love this guy. They're doing their own videos, and Stevie Nicks is lacing up our skates and everything and they're happy. It's going up the charts again, and I didn't get it. 46 million views. Eight million likes. The nation's obsessed with a guy who calls himself dogface to await. I'm thinking why I don't get it. Now there's something called the Dreams Challenge where people are encouraged to make a tic tac video is similar to this guy's video. This guy just chilling. No mask, just kind of roller skating, doing his escape poor thing drinking his ocean sprayed, so people are doing that, too. And this is when I finally figured out what's going on here. It's literally this guy is literally the answer to this country's problem. It's basically that he is Trying to exercise a demon from this country. A demon of flop the demon of laziness. Basically getting out chillin looking good feeling good and being happy and singing a song Or at least lip sinking a song that talks about. Well here you go again. You say you want your freedom? Yes, we want our freedom. Isn't it odd that something this mundane Has captured the imaginations of Americans across the country watching this on video on Tic Tac. About Calling him an exorcist is kind of crazy, right? But I said in the last hour We're dealing with the brain in the mind here. We're dealing like you know what the mind is. That mind wants to be free the brain. You know, it's just It's just some tofu. Like matter. It's in your head. The brain wants to be free the brain. Is about thoughts is about feelings about memories about believes is about, you know experiences. And you know, we've been having a hard time, you know, figure out where the brain and the mind come together, and scientists are talking thing about pants like Is there anything about the experience? But when you're looking at things like Possession. When you're looking at programming, we'll go see those were things of the mind is basically taking the neurons and firing them in different directions, And it's kind of a neural plasticity in a way where you know you're just adapting to things that you don't know why you're adapting to them or you're just so depressed. You don't want to. You want to do anything. So this guy doing this doing what he wants to do being free, You know, free thinking and No Cavaliers going down the road, No mouse gun. This is what we want to be. That's what we want to attain. Some of us don't do that. Some of us do. So for those who you know You listen to my show for some time and they talked to me, they said Clyde, I believe that what's going on here is some sort of a ritual. You know. Separation in the mask. No touch torture. It's a ritual. And They say. I don't know what it's a ritual four. But they say it's new Superior Satanic and they don't know how to explain it. They're a lot of people who read their Bibles. And you know, of course. Right now. There's a cloud of apocalyptic thinking that is permeated throughout the world. And there are many who see it is that you know the trials they must endure. And they say, Well, if I endure this to the end, I get a reward. I get salvation. I'm waiting to be raptured up. Another C. It is a demon, A demon that pauses itself is a virus that enters the mind influences people into wicked things. It is a demon that pushes leaders into becoming Meg Whitman. Maniacal dictators. It's the demon that possesses the young, destroyed property and harm people. It's also the demon that breeds entropy when many of us should somehow rise to the occasion. Exercise. That demon that has has vexed is the demon of Separation is the demon even of promising that it will take care of you? And you don't have to do anything. It will give you whatever you want. I don't have any self worth. You just said back. You just take it all in because you don't have to work. You don't do anything You don't believe. Don't do anything, you know. Socialism of courses. They will give you whatever you want. Just do what we tell you follow her lead. The only problem is that many people have not identified this demon and they have not named it in while the majority of people will Fall to the default action that this is some sort of satanic panic or the witch hunts everywhere. Adrenal chrome. I don't know what you call it, but anyway Actually, there's actually a name for this demon. It's called a CDO, but actually it's it's the demon isn't called the CD but a CD. It breeds this demon. It's a condition and a name given by the early monks to describe what is known as the noonday demon. Some communities. Better now facing.

Growing Your Photo Business with Dixie Dixon
"Able to welcome back to another episode of this week in photo I'm your host. Frederik. Van Johnson today I have the honour and pleasure of sitting down with the illustrious Nikon shooting. Dixie Dixon, she talked about world. He's got he's working on what letter here we're GonNa talk about Nikon and all that good stuff dixie welcome to the show. Are you doing amazing thanks so much for that great intro I. Appreciate it. It's all true. It's all. You're awesome. I'm excited to be here today and chat with you. Cool. Well, let's talk about stuff. So you know we've just you know full disclosure you and I did an interview before over on the sky loon behind the scene podcast that I also host but I wanted to invite you onto this show is well because I want to. kind of slightly different direction and. Introduce you to this week and photo audience as well as the behind the scene audience if you subscribe to behind the scene search for it and go subscribe to that one too. So Yeah. Good stuff. Who is Dixie Dixon? Ukraine. So I've seen your name in fact. I. was just doing a livestream with a friend of mine who's also a Nikon shooter and I said I gotta go I. GotTa Hang Up because I'm getting ready to talk to Dixie Dixon and he's like I was like, have you heard of Dixie Dixon? He's like Have I heard of Dixie Dixon. It's like, have you heard of Prince? So. Tell us how did you get from where you were to being kind of a household name in the in the photography world? I appreciate that so much. Gosh it's been a really crazy adventure. I've had photography jobs. So I started out shooting the cheesy little league pictures shot with film actually was the Nikon F G camera, and so we'd be doing all those cheesy soccer ball like posing with a soccer balls and Just, the team photos and stuff like that, and then I ended up joining the yearbook staff and my image ended up making the cover of the yearbook. So for me, it was like a way to get out of my shell a little bit. I'm very much a sort of an introvert. So it was sort of felt rebellious and helped me get to know people and communicate and have fun and so that for me was like a moment. Wow maybe I could actually do this for a living. So I ended up going off to college I would have loved to majored in photography, but I really thought. Maybe I should figure out the business so I can actually figure out how to make a living doing this. So I ended up studying. Entrepreneurship at TCU and fell in love with the business side and then I ended up studying abroad with a world renowned fashion photographer I literally googled fashion photography study. Abroad. And there was one program through Syracuse University. So I got to go and study with Jeff Licata and listen over in London and Prague and do my first big fashion shoot, and that is when I really fell in love with the fashion photography side of things. So yeah, it's fun adventure I felt like it was yesterday but it's It's crazy how fast time flies and I got a job sheeting TV show and it just all came together. I have so many questions like I'm I'm curious how it works from. A lot of a lot of the twitter audience. Sure as the same question like the. One one path to success as a photographer seems to be fashion right? You got to be a fashion slash commercial photographer. You gotta be that person walking on said and you're in charge and you know the House music stumping in the background and models are doing their thing. There's a wind machine. Blowing. And somebody's up there like stevie nicks with the white thing. So how do you? How do you get there like what's what's the path from leaving school in entrepreneurship going through the internship and seeing how it's done from behind the scenes to building a brand like your brand and being sponsored and representing brands like Nikon? Yes. So it's been I always feel like as an entrepreneur you think you're just GonNa, go a nice gradual progression upward, but it's like. It's an interesting. It's an interesting journey if you will. There's ups and downs along the way. I. Mean my first few years I was shooting everything I was shooting weddings and portrait's and product. If anyone called me to do a shoot I knew how to do it. I said Yes to almost everything yeah. Just to just to pay the bills and whatnot so I ended up up to different websites My fashion website and then my commercial website I mean my wedding website and portrait website. So basically, when people would reach out and they wanted portraits, weddings, I was sent him to that website, and then all the fashioned stuff on my fashioned website was all three work that I had shocked my portfolio. So ultimately, you have to show the type of work that you WANNA be shooting. So I was wanting to shoot the fashion work so you have. To, go out and shoot that work, and then you're gonNA, eventually start attracting those type of clients. So then I started shooting for modeling agencies, they would do like paid portfolio shoots for their models. It started out as free portfolio shoots and then they ended up paying me to shoot their models for awhile and do that quite a lot and then that led to like two boutiques and showing them my work and ask him if I could collaborate.

History in Five Songs 47: Bands of Individuals
"So this is episode forty seven. We are going to be calling this bands of individuals. I couldn't think of a snappier title. But this basically explains this concept and it's actually a pretty elevated concept If you don't mind me saying this is something I've always felt and it's an episode. I've been burning to do So let's just get to it. I mean essentially One funny thing about this episode is it's not very heavy metal or hard rock. Although I am going to be mentioning a lot of bands that are hard. Rock and heavy metal but my examples per se are not particularly in that field. But I am going to end with a with a classic heavy metal band so So all shall be forgiven. I hope by the end of this. I might mention a few Honorable Mentions Myself All right so we're GONNA do this one a little bit differently. I hope it doesn't go on too long. I probably will shorten up when it comes to the actual entries but I have a little bit of a along intro here so I went to you the fine listeners. And and said hey give me some examples of this and it's kind of funny The example started flowing in and I'm going to read some of those in in a second But what I realized when I was reading these examples is I'm not too clear on what my concept is for this. I hope by the end of this episode and when you hear examples you're GonNa understand what has always been stuck in my brain for decades essentially about bands. That are like this why I think there are certain bands truly truly truly like this. So let's just get on with that so I sent. I sent off a facebook cry for help here So what did I say here so So here's a really cool concept that I'm at four at need one. More as I said bands of individuals and ecosystem is created with a clear north South East and West. It's an ecosystem that has not one world but four five teams that comprise a complex world. I've thought this for years about these four bands. But do you get my drift strode. A few band names and if one of them just hits me like a lightning bolt. I'll know it but I don't want to explain further or debated. Let's save that for the episode. Only one of my choices is remotely a metal band. So that's what I wrote And yet just to explain a little more before. I read some of these Entries the idea here is that these bands create almost like You know you think of a little Snow Globe that you shakeup and there. There's the snowflakes in there. There's this enclosed world that is a weird world but very importantly this world is not one that ends up being kind of a unified sounding thing that a lot of other band's sound like it is a world unto itself that's number one but number two it does have an east west North and south. I mean it. Basically sounds like a world of individual players or Feifdoms that is making this up so doesn't sound like particularly like a unified whole. It sounds like a band or a record or song that you listened to where you can't get the members themselves out of your head when you're listening to it. You don't think the band name you think all of these original members jumbled up together at once. I think that explains it probably pretty well but let me tell you quickly and what I'm going to do here is I'm going to leave out. The bans That were suggested that are actually my choices anyways. And I'm just going to go through some of these very quickly dispelled the notion of why didn't include the more. How they they? Almost clay came close. Oh so we've got vanya Derek. I mentioned led Zeppelin Queen Cream and Russia. Okay all of those are pretty close but no cigar. They had certain things about them. That were almost two unified Long Story But those ones are are all pretty close but let's see Jacob Tannahill said sons of Apollo Mister Big Asia. Any one of them fit the bill and I actually almost thought Asia that I would include But Yeah I think he's getting the point here Sons of Apollo definitely. You know the big the big You know important band members. Asia supergroup The police New York Doll says Thomas Hackney also the pretenders I would say no on the pretenders I would. That wouldn't have come to mind. I wouldn't New York dolls that come to mind. Police is one of my honorable mention so with that band. You know you are thinking This this chicken scratch sort of textured a guitar playing from Andy. You know base. I don't think you think of sting so much base but you think of that vocalist and then also I with Stewart Copeland. You definitely get a unique drummer. That is a distraction. I mean you're thinking of him when you're hearing these police songs so yes that's a good example of what we're getting at here. Augusta Garcia parade. As mentioned the clash. I would say no I don't. It doesn't really fit the bill here. Thomas Hackney comes up with AKS little bit. That's kind of cool. One Eagles Blazed Barshop. Says no I wouldn't say so Going to leave Well no I'm not going to leave this one because I kick them out. Pat conners has fleetwood Mac. I actually was include fleetwood Mac but I couldn't see myself playing a fleetwood Mac song as one of our five choices here but definitely you get the yet. This is a perfect example. And like I say I was one of mine that was on the at the top of my head. You get. Basically these. Three distinct vocalists are all with their personalities and their baggage in their own solo albums. The whole bit Stevie Nicks Christie. Make Christine mcvie his Christine. Yeah and Lindsey Buckingham All very distinct vocalists. And you also get You Know Mick. Fleetwood is the is kind of the the patriarch of the ban. But you had get this very stripped down drumming John mcvie Idaho. Don't really think of him too much in this but Lindsay as well you think of a very distinct Sort of I said chicken. Scratch already with Andy Summers. Chicken scratch makes a lot more sense with Lindsay So again you're listening to fleetwood Mac song or a few in a row and you're thinking oh when's this focus gonNA sing or that one or oh. They're they're doing this together And then and then. Lindsey gives you this very stark guitar Solo And and you get this very sort of straight line B line kind of Feel to a of their songs so that is a ban when you're listening to them. I can't get the members individually out of their heads hence bands of individuals. Okay

"Like Fleetwood Mac so now knowing that Fleetwood Mac whose son was on it's not Stevie Nicks it didn't sound like it was not there you go very good well I get like for clues very well it was fairly impressive though so yeah the room we really we did was we killed like three minutes with him talk about last night's game here your welcome about I've only six more somewhat another song that's all we do is a song for her Hey it's six song they really pretty my goodness gracious that's something I've talked about this week bit I wonder if I don't think you wrestle with but how do you as a head coach deal with understanding what's going on with the team and we all get it it's just I mean the injuries everything they're young but you can't accept it you have to you have to ask for more you need more than than than than what they may have or or maybe disaster what they can give you but you have to make sure you give it to me every single night how do you deal with that may become a walk in the wire little bit understanding yet not accepting she yeah I I think it's a great question I think you do have to find the balance you have to figure out what that means I I think for us your last night was was such a throwaway night yeah agreement doesn't play fatigue no questions of factor Dodgers his five threes in the first quarter is one of those games it seems to happen like one time a year even even last year or two our team you know championship caliber team member we have a couple games we lost by thirty or whatever yeah everything goes wrong so it does happen but when you when you really worry as if it starts becoming a habit and that hasn't been the mark of this team this team is actually played really hard and and we've had we've had a lot of competitive games our defense has gotten better over the last two weeks so I've you know I've I've I'm willing to just kind of move on from this one button there is definitely a sense of urgency going into tomorrow that I think the players should all feel because I was really embarrassing last night my opinion in a phone so to the group here in and talk to Chris mall in a little while ago we agree with me some difference here is to hear from you how much of last night do you think had to do with the fact that you got a W. in Memphis Dallas a better team second game of a back to back a young team that understanding what you need to bring to back to back and not understanding that just because you got the win last that that would meet that energy is going to transfer it to the next game I guess a better opponent yeah I I would hate to think that we're resting on our laurels at three.

"Get so distracted so easily. It's the shiny object. Baby. I wanted to watch a movie last night, which was that. I'm gonna watch this movie. Knock this white boy, Rick. Boy, Rick is on HBO know enough to pay for. Mccown as in anything is somewhat. Interested is good actor, but watch it and I got distracted by the two thousand nineteen fame rock and roll inductions. I wanna talk. I watch it every year. I don't know why they get on state. Well, I know why because they're rocking roller. They're trying to have their bad ass credit. They on onstage news, the F word things like that that doesn't bother me. But it's almost when they do that. It's kind of like you're showing that you don't know that it's not cool to do that. I mean at one point the first couple of guys that did it appear to be rebels. But now you just like look like a stupid old, man. Trying to swear look like you're cool ninety for all Alta doing on the radio, but the watts long story. But anyway, it just happens naturally. But thus night a couple people did it when Stevie nicks in it. I went painful shouldn't sue what's your name? Susan Suzanne huff from the Bengals treated to that off girls. Again, it doesn't bother me say that. But when you're up on the big stage to be oh, so they don't give a damn. But it just looks stupid see full of people in the room. It was a good show. And by the way, Stevie nicks killed man. Oh, I'm not even a Stevie nicks fan, but she came on wasn't three or four songs in the beginning. She was one of the inductees. She was inducted Fleetwood MAC, and then she was inducted on her own. So that's why she was there last night. And of course, they had to get. Let's get more women. This isn't about women it's about rock and roll, Jack. But one of the things they did last night. I was one of the highlights is. While Stevie nicks was playing I can never remember that long hair guitar player. He's one of the most famous Goto guys in LA. He's done a ton of work with Jackson Browne everybody, and he was really freaky white-haired under shoulders kind of long face. Always plays. A les Paul? He did all the slide work Stevie and a whole bunch of stuff. He was if you're facing states, he was to the left anybody out there who that guys, but he's one of the go-to cats, and and it was it was a massively cool band and the thing about Stevie nicks performance, the music was on fire van was unfair. But the the pictures in the background. She's cute. And they showed her I wanna say the the A-List cute pictures of further just kept them rolling. So we're just for that alone. Vezzano's got inducted and man, then I'll look so good aging. Well, but they still got it still going on the all the performances there are live Janet Jackson didn't perform she got inducted you didn't perform I thought wimped out come on the front of making a mistake. It's gotta be it. But does arby's. Got it. Who was in the cure? I'm not a cure fan. They did a pretty good three songs. I've never been a cure fan. I don't get that stuff. I just didn't get it sounded kind of like sanitized protection back in the day. Whenever hair bands and board. They have the hair what plus the they need makeup tips. Steph. You know, the cure you could give them makeup tips with other doing I think a stylized us. You know what I'm talking about? They got like a a Batman villain makeup on what they're doing who else was on there. I can't remember a blank right now. But at the end and. What do you call it? Bryan ferry was on Roxy music. And then at the end, they do the the all star jam this year. They didn't have Paul and the crew on stage Paul Shaffer, these the house ban what they had going on was what do you call it jam with everybody who was inducted some of the inductees and they brought out Ian Hunter. I went man bring him out in the beginning to I love that guy. It was pretty good. It's on HBO. I don't know when they recorded. It was a while back. I'm going to find out stiff one of the two thousand nineteen rock and Roll Hall of fame inductions for two thousand nineteen but HBO, and I would highly recommend that you watch it Brigham stuff. Now. I'm going to I'm going to visit this again, do I wanna visit this now. No, this is the information. The comes my way, courtesy of John excellent over this yesterday this explains and I'm gonna hit this a couple of times because none on the show today. But this explains why why we cannot get rid of electoral college, and it is hanging in the balance right now. It is literally on the edge of being Sam blasted off of our American landscape Republic. And the reason is they're they're in run around it. Somebody sat down at one point. And I mean, evil somebody George Soros villain level somebody, and they said, you know, if we really want to get into having Hillary president, and we we see how we really screwed up there. We should have gotten around the electoral college and somebody said how do we do that? And somebody who's an evil genius probably wearing a lab coat with an eye. Patch? You know, wringing their hands to go. So I have an idea. Let's set up national popular vote N P. And then somebody else said, yes, we do that Lee Chatfield and Mike Schuck, you'll go for it in Michigan yells, do it. So then what they did is they came up with that plan. It's real bad plant. It's it's a complete legitimate hundred percent legal Enron around. Our constitution. It is evil. Jack only stupid people would go for this really stupid people. That's or people who are straight up evil anti American Republic because it upenn's crushes Sam blasts off of our constitution. Well, it'll still be in the constitution. But they found a way around it because they're using another piece of the constitution to do it legitimate. Yeah. But man, I gotta tell you. This is not good. Here's where the forefathers screwed up for further screwed up on two fronts. Wisconsin you may think other ones in your opinion. But the two that really really really are glaring is they said to each state you can come up with your own way of doing elections for president. You make the rules up to you. But we're going to have an electoral college and make sure everybody gets say in every area of the US. Now, of course, that made sense because they were state sovereignty that that's the main reason ever doing that. They were saying, you know, we're not going to have one St. override somebody else. God bless that's great. But somebody found a way to use this against us. It's kind of like overwhelming the system the other place, which has nothing to do with talking about here. Is that they put in the constitution of means about what you could say amend the constitution without amending it, and that is you have constitutional convention. Can you imagine right now, if we had a constitutional convention you trust anyone, you know, or that you don't know that's out there to sit down and do what the forefathers did purely. You could use a lot of that was blind luck. A lot of it was blind divine providence..

Whatever search for the JV show, which you have found right here right now. Jennifer takes over with one of the lead story's not in the right direction where you're going the wrong direction. Wait a minute. Hold on stop the car turn around and go the other way, you're to focused and listening to what you're going the wrong direction. All right now, I've turned around. Let's go, Jennifer. Okay. William bar has been trending. This week are turning general has been testifying before congress. He testified on Tuesday and on Wednesday, and he was actually supposed to testify about some boring stuff to appropriations committee, right? He's supposed to talk about is budget. He was going to defend some of the line items in his budget to congress to try to get them to okay, some of his expenses. But of course, the appropriations hearing quickly turned into a preview of why William bar acted the way he did after the release of the Muller report. And we learned a few things we learned that the Miller report will be out in excuse me about a week's time it will be redacted because a four different laws that are in place that William bar said, I feel like I have no choice, but to redact in these areas, they would be to protect grand jury testimony and sources and methods and things for the intelligence community. And then he revealed that he's a team to investigate the origins of the Muller. Investigation. It's significant because over this past weekend, Devin Nunes, who's Representative from California was on a lot of the cable news shows and said that he was ready to hit actually turned over referrals. I think eight or ten referrals to the attorney general to proceed with charges against people who in a fraudulent way started this Miller investigation through leaks through mismanagement of the department of Justice, some of the highest levels of the department of Justice. Maybe James, call me a little nervous Andrew McCabe who right underneath him might be a little nervous today. The attorney general has said he's assembled this team to investigate the origins of the counter intelligence investigation that was launched by the FBI into the Trump campaign. It'll be interesting to see if there's something there for for real as Republicans are saying there is of course, President Trump has been saying that for a while now. And if there is something there how that will proceed in the attorney general's office or if it's. Another nothing burger and again, more games political chest. So kind of interesting to know that the attorney general taking them seriously and going to see if there's anything to these rumors that somehow this was a bad investigation from the start. What do you think? What are you all close? I absolutely believe we've seen the reason I believe that is we've seen testimony and text messages leaked from one of the FBI agents who is at the head of this Peter Struck his lever Lisa page who is a lawyer for Andrew McCabe, we've seen testimony and heard testimony from Andrew McCabe and James Comey and all seemed to indicate that the way they were able to pull warrants to spy on the Trump administration was by leaking stories and they admitted to this. They leak stories to the press that were not true yahu picked it up. Yeah. Who ran a story? They took the news article to the fisa court and were able to pull warrants on members of the Trump campaign. And the thing about is a warrant that people don't realize because I think most people haven't even heard of one until this investigation is that not only wants the warrant is is pulled or approved the person who is at the heart of it is spied on everybody that they come into contact with by association can then be spied on. So this massive webs web of Americans that are being. Spied on by the government grow every single day. When a phone call is made. I mean, if you had made a call to your friend, Bob and Bob was the cousin of George popadopoulos. All of a sudden Doug Stephan is getting spied on by the by the government. So I think it's I think it's a bit dangerous. I do think there's something there. It'll be interesting to see what the attorney general things. So. This. The Justice department has been called upon to scrutinize decisions made by the FBI going back. What two three years basically that this? That's how long has been going. So how it's politically motivated to me it seems very politically motivated. Although maybe there are some appropriate things. They can come out of it. But at what point I asked the question always about money at what point do we stop this stuff or is there? Just no end to the amount of money that can be spent of your hard earned dollars in your thinking about this probably more now because your tax money is due next Monday. So this your Massachusetts is patriots day monies due on Tuesday. But the reality is that we all work pretty doggone hard for the money that we pay into the government. And I am damned if I want to see or feel like my money's being wasted. Which I do every time I send a quarterly in. I think to myself, what am I doing? What is going on here? What am I getting for my money? Are there some things that are going on that are good? Yeah. But for the most part think about it from it. What do you really feel is a valued asset that you're paying for when you pay your taxes? Do you feel good about paying your taxes that the money is going to some useful purpose to help people or to make things better? Or is it this crap? Hundreds of millions of dollars every year spent federally and locally, it's a damn disgrace. Good about paying taxes. No, one enjoys I think we are stockholders in the country. And I think we should be given a report. So that we can track where our money goes number one number two when you ask is this important or not again, it goes back to that discussion. Is there a separate set of rules for one class of people and another set of rules for someone else? Yep. What do we find that out? What do we do about, Jennifer? Yes. There is. And I think you have to find out because look you've heard claims about racial bias you've heard now we're hearing claims about political preferential treatment. The. This is my country. Yes. It's the only problem that our country has is that were a system of law and orders law and order. Enter people lose faith in the Justice system. We have no country left in a lot of faith in it. Right. And so that's why we have to fix it. If we want to survive, I think, but how do we fix it? What's getting fixed by this of people? These these idiots on both sides arguing with each other about everything, you know, what what here's this is a story floating around today about a committee hearing on white nationalism and hate crimes where some commentator testifies that she thinks Adolf Hitler was wasn't really nationalist. Yes. It's been what he was. They actually twisted that around a little bit. She was trying to make a totally different point. I think it it it kind of twisted funny. It didn't come out the same. But I think she was trying to make the point that nationalism is not necessarily. I it doesn't always start out with negative connotations is what I think she was saying or to be populist nationalist isn't always start with negative connotations. So that's where she was going with it and people kind of twisted around because she's a conservative commentator and people don't really like, I guess. Okay. So people like my point. Thank you. Thank you for clarifying that. But what I'm saying is this is seventy some odd years eighty years ninety years actually after the the the the the Hitler reality in. I mean in Austria came to Germany, and then what has happened is ninety years ago. And we still haven't learned our lesson. That's what I take away from this. It's the same stuff look back at the political reality, maybe this is just part of the human condition, and I shouldn't frustrate myself. But I look at us wasting all over the course of my life. Go back to when I first started paying taxes as a kid in the nineteen sixties. And then like when I was spending my money on man. And I sure as hell don't like it now. It's just absurd. It's like theaters like people are having fun at your having fun at your own expense. I guess that's right. You can look at it. Is it worth it as the question that we all have to kind of wonder about as we look at our selves in the mirror wondering what in the world is going on here. We like to think that things are getting better and things are not off by any stretch imagination. But they could be so much better so much more is the brighter day every day for everybody. That's kind of what I like to think we are aiming for at any rate this stuff. It's well, maybe I shouldn't talk about it at all. Because it gives me really, wow. Nd up eighteen after the hour here on the JV program. Have you lack energy and can't get your work done every day? You struggling to get back into shape all those sorts of things. I think they said postpone, but it could be cancelled depending on Mick Jagger has some health issues, and he's got to undergo medical treatment for the doctors say you can't go into. It's gotta be something pretty serious nuts. Like like, it's not cancer. Anything like that? Ron what are you hearing? You hearing a heart stones announced his heart valve surgery, heart valves are making he's determined to come back. Did you have any idea? How long it takes to reschedule? Yeah. That's American tour could take forever between the sound guy guys and the catering and the promotions and the tickets, and if you're holding onto a ticket for the stones you might as well frame it, right? You're not gonna be it's gonna be a while. But how odd who would have thought all these years? Yeah. All the members of the Rolling Stones and Keith Richards. He's done to his body. Yes. Now, listen when you see him up close. English guys don't age. Well, like rolling stone's tribute band. Right. He played over the weekend. Compared to the real he plays Ron wood in the tribute band. Compared to the real run would look like, you're twelve. I'm telling you. I'm telling you these guys. They just look like they look like there. There was a nursing home. But then you you put the spandex on them, whatever they get on stage. They just come alive. It's amazing buddy mind posted a picture of very unflattering picture today of Mick Jagger. Why is it that celebrities? I mean, she was worth well eighty million bucks. Something like that. That's quite a bit of money last time, I checked and you don't have strategies in place. You don't sit down with lawyers and business managers and all that that that can watch over your finances. I was watching this piece on Fleetwood MAC, see that piece on reels last night on Fleetwood MAC, the breaking up of the band. Oh my gosh. The greatest bands in history. Unbelievable. Nick Fleetwood, go bankrupt. By by the way, he's got a great restaurant over in Maui, fantastic food. So he's you know, obviously kept his legacy alive. But these guys made hundreds of millions of dollars. They were unbelievable. And they went broke you hear it all the time. Folks. This is why planning is so important. I mean, Stevie nicks snorted so much cocaine and drank herself to oblivion I mean, come on you guys made a fortune. He is a wicked good guitar player. Great singer tremendous composer. I mean, everything, but they I guess the drugs must have got to them. Fighting all the time. If you got a chance to watch that it's fascinating. But it does teach you some interesting life lessons, like this Aretha Franklin thing, you know, if you just focus on some of the basics I remember back when the stock market crashed. You know, there were tech companies that were going down the tubes. And I remember just before the crash I met with a husband and wife, and they add I think it was four or five million dollars of company. Stock forget this dog AMC why one of the lot of stocks that went down ninety six percent during the crash, and and I was doing planning with them. And I said, you know, what guys you've got four million bucks? Here you could sell a million and a half of this stock and sanitize enough money. So that you can meet your basic expenses for the rest of your lives. They had two kids crying in the background. I said that's the college education for the kids. That's your retirement all of the above and never have a worry based on a decent modest lifestyle. Just take that much off the table. Nope. The husband and the wife thing. Got enough fight. The wife is saying yes, Honey, I wanna do this for securities. And no because this company's go onto who knows what we're going to quadruple our money. And so they sort of threw me out the last night. Until I heard about the divorce right after the stock that pummeled down ninety six percent. Sometimes people are just stupid.
