"Clear with the FBI director that Congress has a right and we have the jurisdiction to oversee the FBI. This is one piece of paper that a chairman of the committee has requested to see. He hasn't even acknowledged whether he has this document, but he hasn't even provided it. I explained to the director that we will do everything in our power and we have the jurisdiction over the FBI that we have the right to see this document. I believe after this call we will get this document. Yeah, believing ain't seeing. That is not happening right now. McCarthy said, we're going to get it. Another deadline has come and gone. The FBI refusing to comply yesterday with James Congress subpoena. So just in case you're wondering, we have a lawless FBI. They don't feel the need to respond to the American people. They are our representatives. They don't feel the need to respond to us. They don't see us as over them. They don't concern themselves with our privacy, our security, our well-being, with justice. No. They're much more interested in what they can do, quite unfortunately, to protect Joe Biden in his political fortunes. And the last thing that they would ever allow is for members of Congress to see an allegation made against the current president of the United States who is a Democrat. I'd add that caveat because of course, if they had a document like this about Donald Trump, do you think they'd be withholding it? During the Trump administration, do you think the FBI would be sitting on that document not turning it over to lunatics like Adam Schiff? Come on. So here we go again. Here we go again. The FBI just refusing to participate. And then you got another agency that has all sorts of problems and appear to be what appear to be nefarious activity is going on. It's the IRS. Another New York Post report for you now from our friend Steven Nelson. Second Hunter Biden IRS whistleblower emerges after dismissal, despite 5 years on case. Dateline Washington, a second IRS whistleblower in the criminal investigation of first son, Hunter Biden, emerged Monday in documents sent to Congress following the purge of the entire investigatory team looking into President Biden's son for tax fraud and related crimes. Yeah, at the behest of the Department of Justice, the IRS just canned the entire tax investigation team looking at a hundred Biden. And that came and went without much fanfare, didn't it? The corporate media not really interested in that story. The new whistleblower is a special agent in the IRS's international tax and financial crimes group. And he worked on the Hunter Biden case since it was open in 2018 until he was ousted without explanation last week. The agent now joins his supervisor who plans to testify behind closed doors before the House ways and means committee on Friday Friday this week, a behind closed door testimony from at least one, if not two IRS whistleblowers. In publicly registering concerns about how the Justice Department has handled the investigation. Both IRS expressed concerns internally for years about the case being swept under the rug, but they got nowhere. And they both lay out extensive claims of retaliation in new disclosures to Congress. Hunter is 53 years old, hunter, Biden, 53 years old, and he allegedly failed to pay taxes on millions of dollars that he received from foreign associates who in some instances interacted with the then vice president Joe Biden. Hunter wrote in his communications retrieved from his abandoned laptop that he had to share quote half of his income with his father. The IRS supervisor who oversaw the probe since January of 2020 and his 12 subordinates were all removed from the case, allegedly on Justice Department orders after he contacted Congress on April 19th to allege preferential treatment and false testimony to Congress by attorney general Merrick Garland. All right, so our whistleblowers protected in the Biden administration are whistleblowers treated with decency and respect our people who have allegations about wrongdoing and corruption in the federal government treated well. No they're not. They're the cases. They're pulled. They're punished. If you find that information about, say, the government using social media companies as a vehicle to censor American citizens, and then you share it with the public. And then you sit before Congress, what are the Democrats going to do? Are they going to stand up for the American people or are they going to sit back and they're going to go, oh, well, thank you so much for telling us about this censorship regime inside the United States government. We really want to really have corruption. We can't have a government act like this. Do you think that's going to happen? Well, we know the answer to that. No, it doesn't happen. Instead, the Democrats will try and destroy you and your reputation. They will try and crush you. The story that I'm referencing is Matt taibbi, the journalist among a couple of others who Michael shellenberger as well. People who were reporting on the contents of the Twitter files, Elon Musk, opening the floodgates, having purchased that company for a lot of money. Then becoming as transparent as I've seen any executive B about the ways in which the federal government was interfering in the business practices of that company, sharing the information and getting a public size by way of people like Matt taibbi taibbi being grilled. Who are your sources? Who gave you this? What are your financial interests? How much money are you making off this? Acting as if it's him, who is compromised. That it's Matt taibbi for revealing the truth

"Editor. You can find her online at Emma Joe NYC, Emma Joe Morris. Welcome to the program. Hey, thank you so much for having me. Oh, it's my pleasure. Now there's a whole bunch of things I want to talk to you about because I understand that you have some pretty firsthand experience when you were working in New York for the New York Post at some of this stuff. Is that right? First time, yes, some first time experience. That's one way of putting it yes. Yes, I do. I broke the Hunter Biden laptop story at the New York Post. And you were the one the lucky recipient of all that censorship. That's terrific. All right, well, let's start off. I mean, I think the big story today, and there's many, right? There's 5 more whistleblowers. There's all sorts of things. But the IRS has removed the investigative team from Hunter Biden's probe in a move that the whistleblower is claiming is clearly retaliatory. Does that seem in sync with the reporting you've been doing? I mean, yeah, it seems in sync with the way that the administrative state works, right? Where, for example, there was according to another whistleblower, there was a request by the attorney looking into Hunter Biden's gun charge and financial crimes and he requested a special counsel to create some insulation of the investigation from the administration and to create some independence from the administration. And apparently that request was stonewalled and rejected by Merrick Garland. So, you know, this is just, you know, I mean, this is obviously a New York Post report. I can't verify personally the veracity of the reporting, although I know the reporter very well. He was my reporter when I was working there, Steven Nelson, and he's extremely careful. But yeah, I mean, he's saying that this happened and this follows a pattern. So I have no reason to not believe it. Right. Now, I want to circle back to what I just mentioned, because I know that there's a story by Wendell Hughes Bowe, who I think is part of your team as well. With talking about 5 whistleblowers, at least 5, that have come forward to allege wrongdoing by the Biden family in connection with business schemes and corresponding coverups. And it seems to me that if you're trying to make somebody look bad, this is a good way to do it, right? They have to have everyday new whistleblowers new people making new accusations. And I think that this seems to have a little bit of merit to it because everybody, these people don't seem like fly by night. They don't seem to have much to gain. Tell us a little bit about these whistleblowers if you can. Yes, so this story by Wendell that published today. This is not 5 new whistleblowers, but this is a roundup of all the ways so far that have come forward exactly. So he gives 5 examples there the following. According to chuck grassley, whistleblowers say that the FBI has evidence that Joe Biden is involved in his family business schemes and this was the lower actually claims that the FBI has evidence that there is a bribery scheme that have documented. So that's one. The second one is Tony renski, Hunter Biden's former business partner, who actually came forward in the days following the publication of the laptop from health series at the New York Post. He was the one who intimately identified the big guy as Joe Biden. The third one is the X White House aide who came forward and said the FBI ignored Joe Biden's role in his family's Ukraine business dealings while he was the point person for Ukraine policy in the Obama Biden administration. And the fourth was the IRS whistleblower saying that the 5 administrators who interfering in the tax probe. This is the one where who revealed that there was stonewalling to a point of special counsel in that investigation. And then the 5th was the bribery allegations that were flagged to the FBI. So there have been a number of people who have come forward who obviously have nothing to gain. I mean, the environment and the culture inside of the bureaucracy as I'm sure you and your viewers can imagine is one of loyalty to Washington and to the bureaucracy. Why do they hate Trump so much It's because he threatens their existence in that bureaucracy. And allowing them to function freely. So these people think that they run the government. They don't really seem to acknowledge the elections that we have and they'll say in a kind of self righteous kind of indignant way. We worked through administrations and we don't care about party. It's like, well, no, you don't care about party because you care about bureaucracy and every president from each party protects that bureaucracy and allows it to grow and thrive. And it was only Trump and only an active establishment candidate in anti establishment president, who was actually going to pose any threat to you. But anyway, I digress. So these whistleblowers don't have really much incentive to come forward other than just basically like patriotism. I mean, it definitely definitely not serving them. And if anything, you know, as it seems from the story tonight from Steven Nelson, it actually hinders their their mission, which is to provide justice. Right. And just on something you said. And I don't think it was much of a digression at all. It was really, it's so evident of the other story from today, which I think is another example of the weaponization of law enforcement to go after somebody for that reason, and they went after Trump because I think the reasons you cited him. It was a 100% right. He threatened the existence of the administrative state of bureaucracy that was accountable to no one of these career professionals that kind of exist and subsist in Washington. And he had this different approach where he was an outsider. And they were like, no, no, we can't have this. This doesn't work. And we saw that the action that they took. So I want to get to that because I think that's sort of the crux of everything if you're an apolitical person that's just looking at headlines today, thinking, why would they do such a thing? I think that explains a lot of it. It explains both the Stephen Nelson's story. It explains much of what's going on. And it explains why they sat on your story and tried to bury it. And I want to get your reaction on what that was like going through that when we come back. So stick with us. 833-482-5337 is the phone number. Former Obama Staffer Witnesses Crime on Pivotal Flight
"Listen, you blew me away when I first heard you on the American adversaries because you obviously had evidence and I want people to hear this and make sure that you share where people can go and find your stuff on substack here, Mike, but you are an ex Obama staffer. You are a former White House staffer. You worked for a few presidents and you worked as a stenographer, but the reason you're on here is because you went on to Fox News and you and you said you were on the flight to I believe it was Kyiv on April 21st of 2014 and you literally saw our witness a crime take place that maybe you didn't realize was a crime at the time. Talk to us about that mic. Yes, exactly, Carl. And you know what? There's a little errors actually a little bit of breaking news. I just found out about this this afternoon, the story just came out. This evening in the New York Post by Stephen Nelson. So I've worked with Steven Nelson on this story. He wrote a story about two weeks ago and he got put in the New York Post and then went to Fox. Today, Steven was at The White House briefing room and Jake Sullivan walked out to do a briefing. I guess briefing and Steve he called on Steven, Steven said, he asked me a question about The White House stenographer me that said, you know, you were on this flight and were you involved with Joe Biden? And he had a

"All of our friends have been the designated picture pool. So we as an actor for the first round, but if Mexico advances, he would be likely to bitch. All right, so in the game that you referenced this morning getting up to what Shohei Ohtani, he threw four scoreless innings. He was fastball was up to what, a 101 miles an hour, hitting a hundred, a 101 mph, his at bats were excellent, you know, wind up driving in two runs with a double, his plate appearances, you could tell he's in command of the strike zone, Sarah, just feels like he's going to have this unbelievable season. And we know that nobody in baseball can replicate what he does on the field. I think it's safe to say, with all due respect, Aaron judge, in terms of marketability, nobody can match what he can do off the field, so as we sit here in March, I'd like a prediction from you about what the total guaranteed dollars are going to be in the contract that he gets in the upcoming off season because I watch a game like today and see the attention on him and see how well he's responding to it and knowing that if there's one year and Shohei Ohtani's life where I mean you go all in and do and having as much production this year as being as great as you could possibly be because this is going to shape the biggest contract in the history of sports, professional sports in the United States, it's like that tote board that you had on the national debt. It just goes up and up and up and up. So give me a number where you think that's going to land. Oh my goodness. So, you know, Steven Nelson who's broadcasting that pool from Tokyo. Settling early on in the broadcast. He said that at ohtani has become an it. The most wrecking knives able individual and baseball. And I hadn't really thought about it in that way because often there are questions, people know enough about my trout and you can go back to before him, people recognizing me be popping Jeter but not other players. It's kind of an ongoing conversation with baseball. And I think I'm so captivated by that I had taken a step back and thought about it in that context, but he is that pleasure that MBA players are tweeting about end of all players are aware of. And I think people all over the world are so aware of him. I mean, during the first game in Tokyo, on the wide shot, you could see there was a banner with their Donnie on it, during a game he wasn't even playing it. I mean, that has how much mercantile and he has zero point. I've been saying it will start with at least a 5. And I agree with you that after seeing one game and everything that he is sort of taking on with the world baseball class. Seeing the Jews already opening day ready the numbers starting with the 6th now. I mean, are we talking about something like 600 million? I mean, it is so hard to even process these numbers, but I think that the answer will be a number far above anything we've ever seen before. And completely deservedly so. Yeah. Mike Trout, I think with value his contracts with 429 and a half million or something like that. And that was like three, four years ago. If I am tani's agent and given where you're in the or still relatively early in the labor agreement, we saw that the salary number spike enormously for the elite players during the course of this off season. Let's say he comes off what I think is going to be one of the greatest seasons we've ever seen from any player production, you know, heating and pitching, I mean, I'm laughing at a contract offer that starts at 5. Like 500, I think 500, it's not even close. And I'm saying to the Dodgers. I'm saying to the mets, look, that's just not going to get it done. If that's where they come in and that's why I do think it's going to start with a 6 and quite frankly, it wouldn't shock me if it started with a 7. In terms of what his overall value is potentially to a franchise. In terms of the amount of money that he could make someone like Steve Cohen or the Guggenheim group, you know, the owners of the Dodgers, I, I think it's going to take our breath away when we see the contract. Absolutely. I mean, he takes her breath away at the plate on the mountain and I think the number absolutely well, but as you said, I mean, it isn't just everything he does. It is that value he brings. The fact that you people sitting in Tokyo. Thousands and thousands of miles from angel stadium. In not just Otani t-shirts, not just angels, gear, but then t-shirts that I recognize that were giveaways, which means those people went to a game. They traveled. I mean, there was so much bread in the sands and that is sort of that signal that it isn't just about what he's doing on the field, but it's everything off the field. I mean, those people could have been in team Japan. And they were there were plenty of people that the amount of bread. Just told you what he has done for the Los Angeles angels over the course, you know, since 2018, imagine them all in Dodger blue or Metz colors, Ying is whatever team it may be. He is going to bring in so much money. But again, at the end of the day, he is also an MVP caliber player year and year out at this point. Boy in the perception of him and his comfort level on a big stage has changed so much. I remember conversations with executives after he agreed to sign with the angels, which, you know, they're not the biggest stage. They're not the Dodgers. They're not the Yankees. And he could have picked any team when he came here. They kind of viewed that as, okay, boy, is this guy someone who wants to hide behind Mike Trout? And now you watch him play and you talk about comfort level. It feels like his heart rate is about 55 in these big moments. He always seems to have so much fun. And to see other players today in that WBC game, it just jumped out at me like everyone wants to talk to him. You know, players, when he got to second base today, the umpire, who was at second base, was constantly talking with him like, and that's going to be the moment for that umpire. Hey, I remember when I talked to the greatest player in the world, Shohei Ohtani. And that's has value, and I think players are teams are going to recognize that owners are going to recognize that. And he's going to get paid for it. Sarah, thanks for doing this. Thanks so much for having me well, sir. All the boys. It's the rabbit train, we're all rabbits. "In the long piece that The Washington Post put out Sunday or Monday actually I think it was Saturday It doesn't matter Paragraph 5 as I pointed out in my Sunday monologue on Fox they said that there's no evidence that any of this is linked to Joe Biden They lied They lie Joe Biden said he was totally unaware of any of his son's business activities He lied Now he said they say he's confident that his son didn't violate any law which is it But there's more There's a lot more The wonderful New York Post Steven Nelson Chuck grassley says first brother Jim Biden in crosshairs of a hundred business probes Senator grassley and I want to salute senator grassley when his salute senator Johnson do you know they've had no support for Mitch McConnell None None No support from the Republican leaders pathetic In fact McConnell has spent more time trashing Donald Trump Then he has been demanding answers from Joe Biden Because that's the nature of rhino world Whether it's dizzy Lizzy trainee or a head case Adam kinger or the cape May orca Chris Christie Or the CEO and chairman of the Washington compost

"We said that this guy is the guy that is going to step up as well and one guy. We didn't give a game ball. Because i want all the way from the field was cam sutton. Yes and cam sutton's a guy that we have been talking about the whole time. The steelers gotta bring in another cornerback. They just can't do it. They should have never gotten rid of steven nelson blah blah blah blah blah. But here's the deal cam sutton stepped up in showed he belongs. This whole team has heard how they were going to lose the buffalo. Everybody said at people that believe in the steelers even said it except for jeff who who is who is in the no but the bottom line to the whole thing is this is a team that believes this is a team. That has an us against the world mentality chase. Clay will even said that the other day on our bts's exclusive interview that they have that mentality and they know what they have. they believe. We've gotta start believing and this could be special so this is a win that to me was one of the most satisfying of my entire forty plus years of watching the pittsburgh steelers because i just have watched this movie over and over again in. This movie ends early on with a team like buffalo winning not today. The narrative his changed. Let's change our narrative with it. All right let's get to wilson's five dollar tip. He says game ball gives a candidate for the office of calling. Play designed game plan in corrections. Made the difference. Cam is close second. He was huge. Yeah ever thought about giving it to the offense coordinator baby. Could dave go with your final thoughts. All right i've got a lotta final thoughts so This is just some. Don't take this in. Take it all in fans because you know bills. Mafia started leaving the stadium when the after when the steelers went up. Ten with nine minutes left people were starting to leave. Okay then when boswell hit the hit. The field goal later on. They poured out of that place. We heard them talking smack for the longest time. And guess what the steelers came in. I mean it wasn't if they were going to win. The question was about how much they were going to win. By was was the question and that's just how they. They felt that they ended up with a with a perfectly easy game to start the season. And it wasn't. I said it before i'm gonna say it again. The if the steelers could actually pull off this game which was won. I mean if you if when go golfing jeff and you look at the card and it tells you you know you've got the easiest hole and you've got the most difficult as you go through and they rank them. This was one of the more difficult games on the steelers schedule. All this is like the two or three handicap. Exactly thanks for saying it. The right way or i was afraid i was gonna say it wrong. That's why did you know that was this game. And they did it and they didn't even score in the first half they didn't even score in the first half but the defense did the job kept them in this game and at the end of the end of the game where they were trying to hold onto a lead they don't break and gave up three and not seven so i mean if not you're still talking about a ten point game there's a lot to be excited about. I wasn't sure if the steelers would bring it together enough to win this game. I felt that the defense would do the job. I didn't know if they could get enough points otherwise and they found Now look out because now the rest the nfl are going to be looking for you. They're going to be trying to exploit the that offensive line is a weakness. You've got to come out ready to work ready to go unless they'll get the win at home next week while said gentlemen i'm gonna go ahead and say that ron chest put the put a well. He's at a vein. He's been a favor fifty years. He's a dedicate this win yes as absolutely. That's a good way to finish the show today. Touch would be smile ear. I'm sure allah can think about is him with the get your bags packed for going to denver for millionaires such a great lie recipes. Touch okay and this is for you there my friend even though we never met we all felt like he was part of the family. "Wasn't going to play down to a third string left tackle against the strength and they see which is the pass rush so other colds. Moving the ball that well either this ticking up to forty nine and a half a i was a good underplay. Let's talk the steelers and the bills. Now this is one of those games. That is very intriguing. This is a steelers team that we know started off started off last season on fire pro. Start getting put out by the sports books. Will the steelers go undefeated. Is this going to be the team that we watch march all the way to the super bowl and then we found out. Oh boy that is not what happened at all. We remember they start eleven and they lose five of their last six games and not only did they lose five of the last six games when it was all said and done we realize that this is actually the second easiest schedule in the entire. Nfl that they played this past year and they still all five of the last six games. Matt canada takes over as offensive coordinator. They're they're trying to get some things figured out and situated now marquees. Pouncey did retire so he is not going to be one of the mainstays on the offensive. Line is no longer going to be there. If you look at these one score game Metrics here now doesn't really always tell the story here because sometimes teams can just backdoor into a one score game and all that but if you care about that type of stuff. They were seven. Two in one score games as well. So maybe there's a little bit of regression on that into people were jumping up and down about their them deciding to use their first round pick. Nashi harris running back. Whenever we've seen that this is a running back position that has been devalued a ton over the last five or six years in the nfl. That said the steelers worth thirtieth running the ball last year so they thought that this was going to be something that could help them. Do which again something that this team has traditionally wanted to do which is run the ball effectively. They lost by hilton steven nelson quarterbacks they lost alejandro villanueva offencive line as well and of course they lost budde. Do pre on the defensive side of the ball is while the get back. Devon bush from injury but bud duprey again one of the better pass rushing guys out there in the nfl. So brad. I know you have a play on this one and it is not on the steelers. It is on the team that is one of the favorites to win the super bowl in the bills. Yes and so a you again. You talked about the. I think the defense was overrated last year because they faced just an absolute joke of a schedule. It was it was backup quarterback galore and then when they did face proper teams and especially ones who could protect weren't not good because a unique of the secondary now and again. This is another team that's traded away corners. And there's there's not really much there on paper. Cameron sutton the right corner joe. Hayden is probably the you know the mainstay. And they're gonna be relying on him sees on the wrong side of thirty so as you say..

"They may do that. I know this. I wouldn't expect our team to do that. I would expect our team to be that because I'm doing the thing that the Pittsburgh speakers do not expect. You know, I said that on the preseason games and was kind of everybody expects the bills to kind of do this right here. And this right here. You always do. Day Ball always does that Which you do not expect. In a way that you do not expect him to do it so that maybe maybe they come out and run the darn thing. 15 straight times to start this Steelers game. Um, in the season, where their quarterback is supposed to be the M V P Um, certainly, that's not what anybody expects. Right, And I don't think we should dismiss the state. The fact that You know Stefan, too. It is not going to be out there for them. Um I mean, he's been bothered by any injury. And because of that. He was in camp and overweight and It does not look like he is. I mean, he's not going to play. I think he's an I R right now, Um That's a loss for them. On that front three. Yeah. I mean, that is a big loss. I mean, Chris warmly is a nice player. But when it's Tyson, aloo Aloo, Cameron Heyward and Stefan to it, that's a threesome. You know what I mean? That's a trio of defensive lineman that are going to hold that line of scrimmage. What happens if he's a nice player? T J doesn't show up either. Well, Yeah, then they're a different group. But I see it and if they if TJ doesn't play That That throws a wrench, not forget about Pittsburgh Steelers defensive game plan. Their game plan may be the same without T J Y. They just won't be able to do it as well, because he won't be. You know, they won't have as good a player there. Whoever is going to be But without T J. Watt in the game. The Bills offensive game plan changes. I mean there, you know. That's a difference. They're going to make play selections based on that. And if you got to it out and T J watt out Wouldn't you want to find out if those guys can hold up in the run game? I think you would. Yep. I think you would. He's on IR now, so he's done for the first three games, at least so he will not be a factor in this one. He's a damn good player, so They're already down that guy on their defensive front. So that's what that's I thought of that when you said Oh, you know, Brian table might do something at least expect them to do. And I'm thinking to myself. I wonder if they think they can run on these guys, right? You know? That's that's curious to me now. Devin Busch is back. You know, they're super talented inside linebacker. He's fantastic, and now he's paired up with Joe Schobert who, as we heard from a DD That guy is calling the plays back there. He's running the show. Yeah, he's got communication with the D. C. Butler. So Uh, that that will be interesting. But there is a lot of turnover. They're missing. Some quality players know Steven Nelson from last year's top five defense. Know Stephon Tuitt tomorrow or Sunday. Excuse me. And No Mike Hilton, who was their best nickel corner last year, so They got to fill some voids. They're Yeah, they're more than the bills have, like I say that, you know they got some questions coming in, and they may have some answers for it, and they're certainly not going to lay down. Um Ben Roethlisberger is going to be able to get some things done. He throws the ball to well, even at this advanced age, and and I know that at the start of this season, you can expect his arm to be fresh. And they've got some guys so they're going to have a really good plan. Matt candidate is a big unknown that play caller offensive coordinator for the Steelers. The Bills admitted they they don't know much about what he's going to be like as a play caller, so There is a lot of more a big margin of error. For Knowing exactly what you're going to be able to get away with as a Buffalo Bills team. Uh, certainly There is some of that as the Steelers as well. But Um You know, this week? One man what? Nobody knows what they're looking at yet. So we'll see. We'll see. Jack believes the matchup that will determine victory for the Bills is other. It's Alan against the Steelers. Secondary. Yes, the line will need to help keep him clean, and Fitzpatrick is a stud back there. He's talking about mink of Fitzpatrick. But by many reports, their corners, especially nickel. Dime is their weakness. Josh will need to identify the zone. I mean, Will be easily could have a big day. I mean, Nicole might be cam sudden who would move from the outside corner inside, and then they bring somebody else on the field. Whether that's Justin Lehner, James Pierre? I don't know. Yes. All that? Yes. But the simple fact matters is it starts with protecting them. The Steelers rush the passer T. J. Watts as good as it gets. They came after Josh big time last year and they got and I said this, and I've Howard. Simon's been filling my timeline. I was on his I said they got we got some guys we got, guys. So did the Steelers. They've got guys that rush the passer. That's if Josh can stay upright and deliver the football on time. The bills have got a chance against anybody. Not just the Steelers, not just the Chiefs, not just the by anybody. They're good. The Steelers will know that that's what they came in here doing last year. They're going to have to get Josh Allen office spot and running around or on the ground. That's what it's going to take to beat the bills. Josh Allen can't deliver the ball on time if he does Manual Sanders, Cole Beasley, Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis. Dawson Knox. Devin Singletary or Zach. Whoever they're going to get open, and Josh will find them. They have got to make sure that Josh Allen cannot deliver the football. Daniel says, Do not take the Steelers for granted. The bills could have easily lost to the Colts last year. You're never as good as people say you are championships are not won on paper. We have a good team. But let's remember that we haven't accomplished the things stay humble and focused. That coach McDermott posing as Daniel. He's not. There's a lot of coaches get all forget all the matchup. Daniel says. Forget all the matchups. Listen to me. Uh, yeah, Coach Speak in there. Sure. Yeah, he's he may have his own team in in a helmet sometimes. Yes, you're right. He may be coaching At some level of football. He's right. But He can say that to us. Sean McDermott doesn't need to hear it. Neither is anybody else over there. They know they're watching the film of the Steelers, and they got a lot of respect for those guys, Herb says..

"Bills, of course. Course the Steelers secondary, their cornerbacks. They moved on from Steven Nelson. They released him. They lost Mike Hilton in the off season two, So they're cornerbacks the depth there and how it holds up against a very deep Bills receiving corps, including Mr Beasley. I was just looking at some splits on Ben Roethlisberger and then Josh Allen by comparison to try and you know Whatever I look about matchups, a lot is going to be made about the bills pass rush, but What? What needs to happen Sunday to to beat the Steelers and to stop that Pittsburgh offense they need to get Roethlisberger To hold onto the ball longer his quarterback rating when throwing in less than 2.5 seconds versus when he holds onto the ball. Drops about 40 points when throwing in less than 2.5 seconds. Roberts Burger 28 touchdowns 25 picks 70% Completion sect four times on 466 attempts, he gets the ball out. When he holds it a little longer. 50% completions, five touchdowns, five picks a quarterback rating of 66, down from 100 to Alan. On the other hand, his quarterback rating when he holds onto the ball longer only drops nine points. Good right, as opposed to 40. Yeah, There's such a dramatic gap for Rothenberg and Alan had. The other thing is Alan holds onto the ball longer again. Mobility is a big thing here. He's younger, He's athletic. Alan had more attempts holding onto the ball. Then he did getting the ball out quickly at 306 attempts where he held onto it past 2.5 seconds. Versus 2 66 when it was out quicker, and the 2.5 2nd thing is a very why that number. That's the number that's used by a lot of the advanced stats, folks when it comes to Pass rush win rate, basically a passing play. It's over or under 2.5 seconds that you're going to be back there holding the ball. That's how long a defensive end alignment it's supposed. Do you hold your block for 2.5? Seconds? If you beat your block in less than 2.5. That's a pass rush win, So that's kind of like a magic number for a lot of football statistics anyway. We're getting all this because of the story that Ralph was burger. You know, he doesn't. He doesn't get sacked because the ball comes out quickly and has for many years. I guess we just wait to see how different their offense is this year and how long he holds the ball. If it is different beyond like the, you know, I think everybody is expecting them to try and run it a little bit more. I mean, they did take their first round pick and use it on a running back so that and maybe they'll be more play action. But to me the big question about their offenses. Will there be any semblance of a vertical passing game because it It almost completely disappeared at the end of the season last year for Roethlisberger, and I think that's the key question. You know if they're going to do get it out fast, throw it underneath crossing routes slants. Bubble screens, all that stuff. I'm not really worried about that passing game, damaging the bills because I just don't think they'll be able to do that. And, of course last year, they also had some drops issues from their guys as the season played out as well. So Hey, let's go. Trey White Levi Wallace! Michael! Hi Jordan lawyer. If you can get Roethlisberger to hold on the ball for another half a second or second, as you've demonstrated with the tremendous gap in the stats. Then we could be talking about them Zaching Roethlisberger and really making it for a long, long day for him. As I said, I'm sure he is. He'll wake up Sunday morning and, uh, you know, his list of things to do that he looks at will be get the ball out fast. I I just think that's That's not a great way to, uh, have your passing game win football games. I just don't see how you know you'd have to be getting lots of yards after catch. Um or some, you know, combination of that with breakdowns in coverage and all that, and I Just, you know, they need to make some big plays in this game. They're going to need to score points. I know the Steelers defense is really good, Jeremy. I don't think the bills are putting up 35. But Pittsburgh going to have to be able to move the ball offensively, and if it's the same offense, I know the coordinators change. The players are the same. And actually the the coordinator should be more nervous about Roethlisberger because of the problems are having on the offensive line. You know? They have four new starters, four starters from last season are not back. If I'm Matt Canada, I'm really concerned about that, against what you know, could be an improved pass rush a deeper defensive line than the bills had last season. Uh, an impressive looking rookie who seems to show the ability in terms of of burst and first step a nice power speed combination and Rousseau. I think that they would be really concerned about that matchup and I I think that plays right into the hands of the Buffalo bills because he's not going to hold on to the football to have the The longer routes develop. He just wanted the time to do it Last year. It was like they were sitting on everything. Yeah, because you didn't trust you didn't they? Didn't they didn't feel threatened at all. And, you know, rather's Burger again Last year, it's Funny when you have, like a 17 year career, you've got lots of different seasons. He's had a bunch of different coordinators. And last year is the first time in his career. He went below 10 yards per completion. Wow. Yeah, that's when I You know, I started Kind of keying in on them. Well, A B. They were unbeaten, but a few weeks before they played the bills, and they were in that stretch with Washington and Baltimore and whoever else they would have played there. And you know, I didn't really watch a lot of Steelers games until that point, And it was shocking how easy their passing offense was to stop shocking and when and again drops to, But it just you looked at it and you thought, Oh, my goodness there. They are compensating for worrying about either Roethlisberger and or protection, whatever by just throwing the whole bunch of 357 yard passes. And it's dink and dunk and okay, you're not going to get sacked. You might not have a lot interceptions. Um, might have a really good, complacent percentage. But it was. It was stunning for me to watch that and go. There are not a threat offensively, and they had no running game, right? I don't know if Connor was in the lineup or out of line up, but it really didn't. They had no running game. It was Amazing to see how bad their offense had become. Even though you look at the weapons at wide receiver go ahead. They got good talent. There they really do and a tight end. You know, I'm not a huge Ebron fan. I mean, he wasn't much of anything in Detroit did better with the cults but between him and Pat Freimuth, who people are raving about in in Steelers camp..

"The steelers inside linebacker. They signed in free agency in two thousand. Eighteen was named john bostick. His first year cap was under seven hundred thousand dollars. He was cheap. The highest first year cap hit for two thousand inside linebacker. Free agent was six million dollars. I went through. It looked at the two thousand eighteen contracts in their first year. Hits for that fifteen million dollars. The steelers could assigned any inside linebacker. Running back and safety. They wanted and their cap. It would have been less than they paid to not have levy on the field though restate that they could have signed any inside linebacker safety and running back free agent that season and the cap hit in two thousand eighteen would have been lower than what the steelers paid to play. Hard ball with le vian bell if they do this with. Tj why and tj white says. Look i already showed you. I'm not playing this game right. You're gonna pay me and i'll be the best. I'll be the ideal player. i'll be the ideal teammate. I'll be everything you want me to be. But you're going to pay me what i want. And they say no. We're going to franchise tag you in tj watson. I'm gonna sit out then. I'm not gonna play not okay. You're two thousand twenty two. The projected cap it for outside linebacker. Which is for. I should say it's all linebackers is eighteen million right. You're gonna put eighteen million of a cap hit into playing hardball with tj. Y and you're not gonna be able to spend that money until you start getting back in the middle of season. I don't know if you know this. But there's a lot of great high end free agents available in november no one size too high priority free agents in november when that money from levian bell came off the books in twenty nineteen. The steelers won out and they signed steven nelson. They signed mark barron. Both those players played a role in the steelers solving the problems. They had the year before in two thousand eighteen. The steelers were one of the worst teams defending titans in two thousand nineteen. They were one of the best complete flip they signed. They drafted devon bush. That played a pretty good role labor and they signed mark baron. That played a pretty good role to they had steven nelson other receivers didn't need as much help make of. It's patrick played a role in that but mostly it was the guys covering the tight ends which vault mark barron he did that. A lot though signings signings like that occur when you have cap space. We've seen the steelers us cap space. Well in twenty twenty one. Twenty twenty two tj. Let's no. i'm not playing on this franchise tag and the steelers say we're tagging you anyways. The steelers aren't going to be able to replace teachers. They're going to tie up so much. Money in tj y and get nothing for it except a rollover for the next season that they can use to again spend a whole bunch of money out of their cap to simply play hardball with tj. Meanwhile if you know this ben rothlisberger might be gone. Tj tj want to sit out this year that would actually be less bad for the steelers enfranchise tagging him like how. How far does this go. Everyone everyone talks. Tj white has no choice but just to play for the next three years in the steelers have control over how much he gets paid with the franchise tag and with this year option. But when you sit and you have a large chunk of your salary cap with no productivity out of that money even if you don't actually spend the money and you get that cap hit back at the end of the year. You're still not getting anything for that. You're not getting the production now. Furthermore if you play hardball. Tj wide like bell. You're going to get a reputation in on the steelers right. You're gonna get a hit on the steelers you're going gonna take that shot and you right now. The steelers are team are free agents talk about. Oh i'd love to play for the ceiling. I love to play for my tom. I love to play for that team will. Yeah part of the reason is they wanna play with a guy like tj. Why and part of that. Reason is the steelers have a reputation of tree their players. Pretty well they can look at the contract. We offered levian bell and look at what he signed a new jersey as they do. You didn't really do that much better. Overall if you had played well you would have been better off. Being in pittsburgh. Levy on bell sat out a year came back and was terrible. And you know what he got. More guaranteed money from the new york jets than the steelers offered him more guaranteed money he would have needed to play two seasons with pittsburgh and as bad as he played in the new york jets. If you've played that badly in pittsburgh he might he might not have made more playing on the pittsburgh steelers contracts that they offered him the what the jets had to pay him is by the fact that he he was barely worth anything. Tj wide is a different matter man if t lots sits out a year he's still going to get paid to me. The leverage sitting here is not all.

"More was week one while you wait and real quick just to just to continue on with the quiz watkins for minute Fletcher cox at got asked amber practice Who are the two who one player that he felt was prime for a breakout season this year. And he says he actually kicked him so he says and he said josh sweat so said one a and one b so if If you read my eagles Stock up stock down media poll that they were the top two vote-getters so This is just another example of football isn't rocket science. It's pretty easy to look at what's going on until who's playing well and who isn't i think the question is especially interesting to me there because obviously like hundred taxes offensive lineman. Yeah yes up one of his fellow talking about like a wide receiver to me on the other side of the offensive line. Going up against those guys like every practice is like this is a six foot one hundred ninety pounds skill guy. Yeah i feel like a lot of players. Don't even necessarily have a pulse of what's going on. They're clueless but they're just not a lot of other things to worry about. Who's looking great and so for fletch dimension quiz and it's been obvious but for him say that is like i thought that was meaningful. Yes yeah agreed Mike quick note. That i had is that i saw steven nelson get absolutely toasted in one on ones by manasseh daily who was with eagles last year. And they got him. Agra jets did cut him after practice. So i think you know nelson has had a a fine camp super concerned about like geez. That's not the best. Look on that one play jimmy. The jets have a big tree in the middle of one of their fields. Now do clarify a little bit here in fairness the jets. That's awesome people like bagging on the jets. After i tweeted out the picture of the tree. Oh jeez why. Didn't they thought it was like one big field where they practice on like to be clear they don't practice like a full drills on this field or there's three yeah that's not one of the three hundred yard football fields. The trees just the middle of like in your backyard. you're eighteen. you're playing football back there. How fun would that be. Different home field advantages in the nfl or obstacles in the middle of the field. Did you ever play football when you're a kid and like ours. Run into a tree Non tree my friend so we played one time In like this old tennis rank early street hockey kind of rink a local park. Yeah and it was kinda like fallen apart and my friend made this like diving catcher like diving leap into the end zone. I for some kind of diving effort. And he like jumped through the went out of the fence. And i was kind of awesome okay. And he made the catch. Yeah yeah that was. It was great. I loved it. It was like he didn't need to do that but i was like. Okay i like it or what about you. I feel you brought this up supper reason. I didn't bring enough a reason. But yeah i mean we my friend. My friends the wetzel a had a couple of trees on the side of their yard on their side yard. that's where we play a wetzel the wetzel pretzels like like yeah rhymes with pretzels and There's a team to be called wetzel. Pretzels even heard of this. I have heard of it. yes okay anyway. Sorry and yet. We'd be like chuck in each other indices trees. The trees were out of bounds. So if you hit the tree or out of bounds and yet many a kid hit that tree only one kid. One of the fleischmann boys for the st got closed lined by By one of the branches of the tree and he ran home after that..

He he was better last year. The frank clark. He was a better football player last year for the chiefs. And frankly i wouldn't. Frank was was not great. I'm just saying as we start. The wrinkling had four more sax last year than luxurious new. As we start the impressive as we start this year though. I'm just saying for me like when. I talk about history and everything that's occurred. I am not sure that i would jump him over that yet. I i don't know man i. I hope that i am wrong. But but in terms of number one corner. Until i see other evidence for me right now thinking about a guy following somebody a guy. That's going to take that assignment. Every week to defined against odeal gets a keenan allen gets. I don't know who denver has but against against orleans. Good receiver jerry. Judy jerry judy. Caja hamlin noah. Fan offense loaded. Not but there's no. I i think i just not ready to go there yet with him. So i mean we'll we'll see. Hopefully i am wrong hopefully by week. Four or five this season. We're sitting there looking at a show. You is dead ass wrong about snead dead from. Here's my question as a follow up to this i. I'm really high on luxurious. Need so much. So that as we're thinking about this right now. Is there another corner other than marcus. Peters that you would take in the last five ten years from the chiefs that are better than luxurious neat. Am i missing somebody. I don't i mean they have struggled that position. If we're counting tire in a corner in this scenario then yeah. I would take him over tyrant i would take tyrant at corner over him. No i mean it's i mean we're looking at terrence mitchell's. That may be the next guy. I mean they. They didn't car was kinda had a little bit of time in air brandon flowers. I was going to say james hasty. I mean that was that was twenty years now. But that's i think he's better second best corner of the last decade. I mean that. And i feel pretty confident saying that. Now i mean. That's pretty impressive. It's not. I mean the the chiefs cornerback. Position has been absolutely pathetic. They they i mean i mean. I guess you could say impressive. Just start. start good defenses. Try it try it names of corners. I skin can't last. The last ten years is brandon car. Even fit in the last ten years barely shocks that he fits say that's been a minute like they. Who are they roll at. Terrance mitchell was on the other side else where they rolling out at steven nelson. Oh come on. Hansie steve member. My favorite landau dude. Sean smith was good yes johnson. That's his name. He was good for them. You saw the good cop. That's a good comper for how i feel about. Julius need i feel about jerry. Need how i felt in his prime about Sean smith and i always feel sean. Smith was a too. I thought he played up to a one with the chiefs. Yeah he has. I think he had the best years of his career with the chiefs. And that was when those were those. Bob sutton defenses. That were like actually decent and we're actually competitive every year instead of getting exploited by nfl. Offenses yeah i think he did play his best years still wouldn't know a one felt like he was a strong too. And that's that's just what i feel like. The kid is. The kid is right now. I feel like we're talking about baseball. How we talk about number. One pitchers versus aces. Yeah feel like. You're looking for aces. i'm talking about a strong number one starter like that. That's what i view these guys as are. they aces. No that's where you're getting into your jalen ramsey's and The top end talent. These guys i think are legit number one starters on a good team. Yeah mike. If we're talking about like that i think he's a to starter like he's a number to start right now. Yeah i think cow gibson that has potential. Better cal keeps. He's somebody who's got all scoured cows cinemas mizzou made or but if he's if he's a number two guy that you're not going to look at it as a number one headed into the year then he's shot brilliant and bershad bruin was perfectly fine for your secondary because that's what britain is viewed as in the nfl. I'll give you that. I i i'll give you that but still what bershad be really. I mean he was a guy that you didn't just leave alone on folks like you didn't just say are Rashad got hopkins. Let's just do it. I'd felt good about brillant and twenty nineteen last year. I felt like he took a little bit of a step back from the chiefs. But i thought in twenty nineteen like when you look back at that highlight reel of some of their biggest defensive plays in that season a vast majority of them involves chateaubriand. It's i. I'm just i'm higher on there. I also once again kind of to our initial topic here tonight ron. I feel better about their coaching staff. Like i just. I trust their coaches to get the most out of their corners. Maybe more so than any other spot on this roster because they've been so depleted at that position for so long that the fact that they've even been able to get competent. Cornerback play over. The last few years is nothing. Short of remarkable. Yeah all right. I guess we do have to to to do. Our annual or weekly conversation of.

"Least at some sports books, Al or some, whatever collection of them. 85% of the money. Bet on the division was our New England. So, like six out of $7 people were betting on who wins the A F. C East. Now the price is a big part of that If the Bills were, of course, 3 to 1 odds, and that would be obviously different, but It's at least that there is a lot of support for the idea that the Patriots will be good. I mean, yes, And of course, but I think that it's really about the value about the Patriots. That's what you just said. The price is part of that. If the Patriots and the Bills are the same odds that you're not getting that 85% bet on the Patriots, I think what happens here is people look at that number and go. Oh, come on, like that's Bill Belichick. That's you know all the moves they made in the off season. You're telling me I can. Not really bet that much and have a really nice return. It makes sense to me why the Patriots would have a lot of people willing to do that versus the bills where you got to lay money, more money to win your money. Many lay the 1 60 just to win 100. It's the value, coupled with that the bills are not may be viewed as a stable contender yet. Entirely like for a better to look at and go like, you know. Good point. I have confidence that their their Kansas City already well, it's one year. You know where they were that good. I know they're in the playoffs a year before, but you know what I'm saying As far as being a contender, and Josh Allen being a superstar, it's it's been It's been one year. And so, you know, I think those two things combined the value of the Patriots and the bills being relatively new to being that kind of a favorite might drive you to New England. Yeah, I think that's right as well. Yeah, and The bills being kind of where you put them there. It also probably lays out to what people have a question about New England. I mean, I'm sorry about Miami as well, like maybe some people think. Well, you know, Miami could be this team that you're betting on Miami. You're betting New England. In this scenario, I get it, But you're right. There's not like a clear cut. Total favorite in the division from a lot of fans standpoint, because I think this division for a lot of people is pretty competitive and think that you know there's a lot of the mixer, so why not throw it on the team that's giving me the best value. Yeah. I mean, there's a serious benefit of the doubt that the Patriots have earned, you know, there's no mystery there. It's just such an interesting situation with the quarterback right, like And Jones is an even lance or somebody that people think is this electrifying talent and really, or even Wilson. With the Jets, who could just like blossom into this great player. Maybe, uh, it's not that he they think he's terrible. It's just different. So, Yeah, that's uh, I thought there was notable, but it does make sense. Why it is that way. As far as the bills go, we've got what sell like two weeks. Until camp a little more. Yeah. So today is July 8th. And although the official camp schedule hasn't come out yet, if you do the math It's 47 days prior to the opening regular season game when teams can report and that would put you at July 27th. And then the first practice would be July. 28th. Essentially, so we're talking less than three weeks now. Um, you know, obviously the two teams in the Hall of Fame game they can start a little bit earlier and the obviously that would be 20 because the Hall of Fame game has the Cowboys and Steelers Cowboys are also playing in the opening night game. Against the Buccaneers. So those three teams will be reporting a little bit early, but the bills it looks like 27th. Now you could. They could change that day. But that's the earliest they could report It looks like and what is left to be figured out here? I mean, we wondered maybe earlier in the off season, would they go shopping for a veteran corner, right? They have to have a little bit of cap money to do something. Zach Ertz like last week was a big Zach Ertz week. And here we are, in the Thursday of another week and Nothing on Zach Ertz. And maybe that's because Brandon Beane is doing what we've talked about a lot of times just waiting for Philadelphia to do something you know, in the form of releasing him, but I guess like that that's really it right. There's not a lot of, um, urgency on. Are they going to do anything else before they get to camp? I I don't sense any way. I mean, do you agree with that? Yeah, I think urges the number one question whether or not they make a deal for him before camp. Um And I think the other guy out there, Steven Nelson, that they've, you know, then they bring in at one point or something. People are still connecting the bills possibly doing that, the defensive back so They do have a couple of spots on the roster. They do have about $10 million available in cap space. You know, we'll see. And then obviously it's the Josh Allen extension. Uh, not personnel wise, but That's the That's the big story and It would make sense that if it's going to happen before the season starts, I would think it happened after camp begins. Therefore, he's in the building. Um, you know he can sign it. There's a PR element to it all that kind of stuff, and I don't know if it's gonna happen before the season, But it would make sense that The next three weeks wouldn't be the time period. It would be after they report and they start camp. You think the bills want that They want this done soon. Like the player this is common, like the player says. I'm not sure, Allen said. Exactly this, But players do say like, I don't I don't want this during the season. So you know for the player. It seems like they prefer get it out of the way to get it done, you know, or just not do it. But what about the team? I think the team would like it as soon as possible if they can, but they're not going to Do it as soon as possible. If it sacrifices, what their you know, long term goals are and money and structure. I think Brandon Beane would love to sign Josh Allen. Right now. The contract extension if if he can, knowing that he can get what he wants out of it as far as flexibility down the road and the part and part of that is spreading out that money in the signing bonus and then also just having the knowledge. I think there's a lot to be said especially coming out of this whole situation with the salary cap the last couple of years in the pandemic. And where it might go where it is Now. I think there's a lot to be said for teams at least having some knowledge of where they sit financially over the next several years. That's part of the reason of picking up the 50 year options. You know for Allen and eat and Tremaine Edmunds. At least, you know, and you can budget It might not be exactly the number you want. But you have clarity on where you're going. So yeah, my God, I think the bills want to do it, but I don't think they're going to If Josh Ellen wants some super amount that they don't really believe that they want to give him right now, or if it's going to sacrifice the flexibility that printed Bean feels he needs. I don't think that they're going to rush into doing that. But if it's something they can live with, I think they'd rather do it that way..

We're gonna be talking about the chief training camp but first we're going to be chatting about the fact that we don't really kinda get training comes over here in england for especially football slash soccer but it's something that we really get excited about. Had lachey look to get to a chief trading. Come one day because it was so much fun doesn't it and the involve all the fans. I think thing the tickets are free as something in the morning and but you've gotta registered to get them but the so much going on and they do. Some kind of like commemorative is as well with the the army and charities and that kind of thing. So it's it's very much a fan involved environment book. We never get this in sottish lot football. It's it's not something that it's geared up to towards the fans noise. Noise is hardly the most accessible sport. Sports stars in general are more accessible never via social media. They see actually get someone in your face and actress sports star in your face talking to our ever hear. His heart is as you said and done. I want won't go to singer myself. Where is Is a university in new issues in the the training complex for the university. And it's actually on tv. The moments on sky sports about entertainers and that was what they newcastle teams cold. The entertain is back then because no matter how many teams scored they outscore. One more day was how they were built. It would just fully attack and team and when they were interviewing the players about these entertainers thing on sky sports and they asked the players what you know. What did you feel about the training sessions and things and it was strange because one of the players david nola said he attend up in the showers on. Dan's person stood next to him. And i it was like hell's us he doesn't play and it was one of the students so it was. It was very much very accessible len and literally could just turn up to the training session and just watch get signatures from plays and it was a mind blowing thing because as a kid you look at these players in the giants when you say them and they're just sign in your football on the senator piece of cod savviness shit. What are they. And i always find that as a special time as a fun that you really connect with the team. Don't do that anymore. It's such a a sad way to do it that you don't get that interaction with those players anymore. Because because like i said that all that was free at the time he just rocked up and daddy way you just stood around the edge of the pitch while we're kicking a football in the shower in the shower. Yeah that's the thing here student and you're a new customer. You looked it but yeah nowadays. It's very much evidence dome behind closed doors. You don't want to kind of You know giving yeah you don't give anything away any attack takes who's gonna be playing next this week. It's a it's very flat but going about what the chiefs do it's brilliant. It's it really is a fan focused day that yet get some training in but you you know the you know the players kind of fully trained already anyway. But they're just getting used to how they play with each other and building camaraderie as well with each other And what better way to do it then in front of fans you over the whole the whole kind of organizations united won't bliss. I think it's great. Because it gives the plays a good sendoff ready for the season as well like the could be a form of secrecy and signs of affable and drinking in american football in the nfl of a team sent spies as fans. Yeah can you remember. Can you imagine bill. Belichick and blokhin knocker. Dwayne bowe jersey and a camcorder giant. You think jiffy now happens film some and you get some media but it must happen. It must happen. You must get teams watching training. Unless i'd calls unless of course the nfl make all of the training camp availability of teams which are doubt they do but they you must get. Scouts dressed as advocate dress. Jerry must happen. Yeah i think. I think the the ones the wait. A spot them. They'll probably be wearing like steven nelson jazzy. Play this out of the debate for the chiefs to something like that. And that's that's that's a spy so if you say anybody at the training competent joe. Who's wearing a steven nelson jersey. Kick him out. Maybe just sing the national anthem and he says chasing the end you notice the spy way. Yeah that's a good way of winkled out spies. Yeah that's a good one. Obviously we were both really look forward to it and we've got some new additions in the team this year. And we're gonna be looking at two teeth. plays each. It will looking forward to seeing the most this year Don't have to be rookies. They can be new additions as well. But who you most looking forward to restrictions on know you said editions rookies in saris. Chris joins. I'm looking forward to say in how much chris johns achy lines up at the end now. The there is a potential that he's going to be making a switch to a half and half between playing the free tech and play in the end. so i'm interested to see what he does. I don't buy the. They can play out there as much as that saying. Yeah because he's so valuable in the middle but then on the flip side of that you have got their at nadi. You have john rates and maybe there's going to be in a position where they play chris johns on early downs outside. And then maybe push him into the middle lights down when they take their the on his downs because dairy naughty doesn't pay processing downs. Maybe they bring christians back into the middle for that. It'd be interesting to see what they do with him and also likewise is interesting. See what's going to happen. The attacker challenge dana. Like are they going to step up. Because christiane is coming for their snaps. They ended i looking to make a living in this and the looking to find their way and guy lot chris jones. He's already been late in the middle of he comes to the outside his away on the outside. The nice guys aren't gonna see snout says he's almost like go. Chris jones in a training camp bateaux which is mad these so talented. He's a twentieth impair. Was it so for him to be an training camp. Bowel is crazy but he kind of is in training camp battle for their stance on the outside..

"Let's kick it off sawyer on the defense. I went through and i had a look and did you not only twice in the past seasons during back to nine hundred ninety two have the steelers had a better ranked defense as twenty twenty when ranked by points allowed yards and turnover ratio. So that being twenty twenty twenty we had such a great defense and it was really the offense that led that down in it. And it's not just you know a fact that we say because we say the splash plays in the saxony deceptions in the forced. Fumbles in tackles for losses was true. Only times in the law said he stays we better statistical rankings thousand twenty twenty twenty ten only ranked number one in points allowed number one in yards and second in turnover ratios that being the turnover is that we were making false. Another chain. how much ally the now's and then in two thousand four's while so that was again ranked first in points allowed. I uni odds and fixing turnover. I share non perspective to twenty nineteen the steelers that great defense that we saw merge once got incurring. Obviously there were the three games full that they're a bit of a bit of a challenge. You know the patriots blow them out by loss thirty urine. Wake one full bender these over in that way to game against the seattle seahawks but that was their fifth in points allowed fifteen yards allowed and seventy turnover ratio. So obviously the is gonna be when you go. Devlin dot colleges need got mason. Rudolph there are. I think the steelers when we look at those sorts stats. the goal. Really needs today match what you did in twenty twenty notch What you did in twenty twenty all. Let's get to the twenty ten months so the next pot. The next part that i wanted to look at was steven nelson. Now it's like we cut steven nelson. He's all news. What happened but he hits pretty vocal like he's always doing these live instagram videos. It coming up. He's still available on the free agent. Market people are concerned about our cornerback. Room even though we've done very well. I think from an undrafted. Free agent perspective talked a little bit about that loss couple of war rooms. You want to know why steven nelson got released. And why isn't he went. Yes there was the expectation contract number but that was backed by the fact that he allowed this second last team. Four hundred and fourteen four hundred fourteen yards allowed through the air and three hundred eighteen yards after the catch which was the. Moore's johnny jaloud from pittsburgh steelers defense the yet in fact the odds off the catch was double cam. Newton cam sautin having had fifty targets whereas nelson had ninety nine hundred ninety targets and out and you know any allowed seven hundred thirty two yards of the pasta Heiden was was the highest of the yards allowed through the and he was targeted seventy non-jobs but we know joe hiding gets more interceptions. We know hide implies a bit of a different role there. And we know that that haydn's role is to baby more destructive to baby it more free flowing so for me. The goal bearing can chem sutton for me is cheaper. I think he can do actually into a bit more with a bit more. Aloun cinema python Can he basically allowed no remove than six hundred fifty out. That would be an eighty yard improvement on stephen. Nelson's that'd be a ten percent. You know improvement on stephen nellis for a lot less money straight up now. Hopefully that's even under six hundred. And i bring up steel Here you know if the season so far for the the twenty twenty one for the defense is to stay healthy. All season agree number one. That's going to be the goal. That's going to be really really difficult When i when i think is staying healthy i think that's out of your top five or six players on defensed No-one being out for more than two or three games. I think that's we can find. There's going to be niggles along the way this going to be people that i do think now. This isn't game that you know that concept of managing step sudden resting place but i think managing snaps is definitely something that coaches you know. Stop thinking about You've seen it in many different sports as well so you know when different different extensions added to games when people know. They're making playoffs when playoffs or extended when games have been added to rounds of playoffs. In what have you there. It's you know it's a long season. Sorry then the next pace that. I really wanted to look app. Was alex highsmith in. Quincy roy shape. So a of the bassiest shows this wake of Chips talked about the role of highsmith. you know in the she needed. He's going to have the she replacing. Bud dupree but i want you to get excited about quincy rochet. We talked about being really healthy on defense. Just before the trick to that he's going to be quincy rochet. It's not the pok mon king or the pokey mine king in cassius marsh. It's gonna be quincy roche. I think they should go out. Have veteran which we spoke about in war room need different. You know i know michael. Beck's top some of them as well. As several other debates he has bory odier sodden in gaza written side of bonds to go to dot com. Your one stop shop for all things. Pittsburgh steelers highsmith even the allowing him jet season you can..

"Them now You have cleared that cap room for nothing, You know, because you're waiting to get what out of an L T A. So not look. I see what you're saying with it and make some sense for sure. But that was my reaction to it. I wonder You know how lodge going out an approach that was? Yeah. And, you know, maybe it's just a check in kind of thing, like hey, is this you know, have has have our evaluations that we made at the end of last season. After watching all the tape from 2020 do they still hold up? And I know it's not padded football. It's not real football, but do they still hold up? Is this guy still on the same trajectory? Are we going to be good there? No. Well, okay, Maybe we do this or do we want to wait till mandatory mini camp where it's a little closer to real football? Even though the pants are still not on, I might be cutting it too fine. Um, I think also, we have to take into account what we don't know. And what we don't know is the conversations that presumably have already been had with the likes of Steven Nelson. Steven Nelson may have communicated to the bills exactly what he's looking for, if they want to get a deal done with him, and he's probably said the same thing to the four or five other teams that are reportedly interested. And nobody wants to pay it. Uh, for whatever the demand might be. So they say to themselves, all right. Well, if we clear this much more cap space, maybe we can do that and something else. I don't know. I mean, we don't know those conversations. So it's all just speculation and that's why we talk about this stuff in June. Um, we do have to step aside and take a break here. But when that and I come back, we're going to jump into the O B L fan Friday mailbag.

"He made for able to be calculable as part of the patriots day. I'm not sure if we should right because he wasn't even actually. He never coached for ballot. Check so i mean floor is right now. I'm still fairly young in his coaching career. But like he's kind of on the director where he could be. The star pupil like the star of the bill ballot coaching tree. He's very few missteps. I do wanna. I don't wanna like criticized the co offensive coordinator thing too much before we actually see it in practice but But yeah i'm a little worried that it's too many too many cooks That's totally fair. So in the afc north three teams sent out. No disrespect to the bengals but steelers. Ravens browns all playoff teams last year. All eleven wins are more lindsay. Those three teams is there any one of those three that you think are best positioned to really push the chiefs if they were to match up in the afc championship game okay. I don't think it's the steelers you know for like eliminating one. I think you take the steelers out out of that. Mix i mean. I still think there's lots like about their defense and they've really good offensive talent. But if we're talking if i'm looking at a lot of this through the lens of how explosive is your offense. How ready is your quarterback to get into a shootout type of situation. I just don't think that. Eighty seven year old ben rothlisberger in the version of him that we saw last year even when they were winning they rate no or whatever it was that they were at i. Just i don't think it's the steelers so for me. It's looking at the browns and the ravens. And i think they're kind of two different conversations. I think that the browns are more complete roster top to bottom. I think maybe they're they're floor. Might be a little bit higher. But maybe they're stealing is slightly lower. Because lamar jackson just gives the ravens the flight infinite ceiling when everything is working at gives you that factor that he could do anything in any game that just about that. The home is the other guy in the league but has that ability. So i love so much about the browns done. I love their running game. I love a lot of the defensive moves that paid. I think they've just made some really smart additions. Over this off season you know the the jonathan signing the i loved that was one of my favorite free agent moves and then something like the bargain moves that. They've made the maliki jackson even today. Vian clowney who he hasn't brought much but that's kind of a low risk like he doesn't have to go in there and be like the guy on their defensive line but maybe you can get from limited production out of him you know. I think they've made some some smart defensive additions to fix some of the holes that they had a. I just say that maybe they're ceiling slightly lower than the ravens. Just because give me lamar jackson over baker. And that's nothing to baker's not good browns fans don't get up and they were all there all over us after we did. Our future quarter had a couple of weeks ago. Because i think he was fifteenth in fifteen player dropped and that wasn't saying that we think is a bad player. Anything was exercise. We have to take into consideration who the player is what contract situation is going to be. Like what would you do with him for five years. And i think he's in a good situation very much better than the situations. He was ever in early in his career. And then i think i guess the other thing too is like they. We saw them play right. We saw the chiefs and the browns play in the postseason. And i don't remember being any point in that game where i really thought the browns were going to win that game. I thought the gap between those two teams is pretty significant. Even with patrick mahomes not. I mean that was the game where he got. He got hurt. Where yeah even there was a little bit that it was like well shoot from homes is out but even then it was kind of like the chiefs are the gap is still. The gap is still pretty large. There where i think if you you think about a ravens chiefs game and the playoff game if everything is working for the ravens. I think that could be really exciting. I mean we this time last year we just like all jazzed for every single ravens chiefs matchup for the next ten years and i don't i think even maybe lamar took a little bit step back last year which we should have all expected he wasn't gonna keep his twenty nineteen pace. That's just unfair for anybody to expect you know. I think i think he has that potential to make any game a really exciting close game. Yeah i agree. Mostly i would leave the steelers out. I think they got hit pretty hard. This offseason i think it would take a really dramatic improvement from ben rothlisberger to get the steelers back to where they were during the first half of twenty twenty and in the old you know the guy but he's not the guy who used to be maybe he will be. no stranger. things have happened. Tom brady just won. A super bowl but The plane a lot. Better than ben rothlisberger and tom brady massively or not massively. But significantly upgrade of the talent around him i mean he went to a much better team in the steelers. You know obviously depends on leaving. The steelers went from eighteen. That was pretty good. Talent around him last year but to a team that loss to their starting offensive linemen in pouncey and villain. The wave a team. That lost bud. Dupree that steven nelson that lost pieces on both sides of the football. That's not gonna be as impressive and baby takes a big leap forward. Stranger things have happened. I can't count on that happening with the browns. I think you brought up that playoff game. And i think that's the sort of the frustrating thing if you're a browns fan is that you know if you work in do it in a game where patrick mahomes get hurt. And he's out for the last quarter and a half. When are you going to do it. I mean that that was a brownstein that was down. Nineteen three at halftime. They don't a good job. You know keeping the chiefs touchdowns and field goals in the second. Half to kind of you know Help keep the browns in the game. And of course you got the pets down and then mom gets hurt handy thursday interception in the end zone and the browns did make a run legitimate possession. I believe in the fourth quarter with a chance to win that football game and then it stalled and they had to punt. But you know the chances that you're going to end up in a pile game against the chiefs. And patrick mahomes is not gonna be there for a chunk of the game so slick and you have to take advantage of that when you have the chance and the browns could not so to me regardless of what you think about baker you know the the baker was playing well very well in the second. Half of the on the postseason The problem necessarily in that game. But i just don't know if they have that next year. I think it's gonna you know i love. I love the move. They made this off season. But i just don't know if they have that maybe they do. You know i. Obviously when they beat the steelers in the wild card game they look great. But i'm just skeptical of that and with the ravens you know. It's only a three game sample so you don't want to rule anything out but it just feels like the ravens. Just do not have the answers for stopping the chiefs and has been just incredible the three times these these two teams have played. The mars actually been in all of the games. I believe he got hurt in the game where he was the he was a rookie. I think robert griffin came in navy for the For overtime in that game from that mistake market hurt in overtime And you know. I the ravens. Certainly.

Should we sing on the air of you guys don't know. I don't really think you need to know. I mean, I'm having a good day. You don't really want Tonto. I don't. I mean, I've heard Jeremy saying he's not bad. I don't think I've heard you sing, Sal, but I've heard Jeremy's okay. Not what? I heard him sing the Blue Jay song on Twitter. So he's okay. So the bills restructuring digs. Happy birthday to you can't just cross it over like that. Happy, happy. I mean, I have had. This is the 59th so it's not like it's Big deal. She's next year. I'm just gonna tell you right now, Jeremy heads up. You might not want to work on June 2nd next year, because I'm gonna be really depressed. Now. Uh, to the digs restructure the open up about $8 million and cap space. And when you heard that your first thought, WASP what My first thought was. This is a prelude to a Josh Allen extension, opening up money to be able to front load some bonuses to get it done so that they don't have to take on the huge cap. It's later on by not having that front loaded moment. That was my first thought. Second thought was interesting. June 1st. Yeah, Maybe it's two scoops. Somebody up, Make a trade. Whatever. Obviously, Zach Ertz comes to mind. And then right after that, my thought was Maybe they just kind of sit on it and say, Let's be ready in case someone becomes available. Yeah. Okay. So you hit all the I think you hit all the possibilities. And honestly, I the first thought from he was also Josh and I thought And Jeremy and I talked this through on the show yesterday. The significance of June 1st right made me think. Okay, they could have restructured digs at any point. Um, And if they're looking for a free agent that's still out there again could have signed that person as long as they were willing to sign a contract at any point. That's why I couldn't get June one out of my head salad. Whether that how significant the digs move on June one is that does that mean specifically was opened up because they're going to swing Trade and the team trading that guy had to wait until after June one. Um, it could. I mean, you know, there is significance here and you know it's funny because if you read and you listen, people say prior to June one, this happens after June one. This happens what happens on June one, and nobody ever knew what happened. Everybody's in it freezes. You know nothing. You can't do anything, And the reason is it's the league works at a four p.m.. Dateline. Basically once four p.m. yesterday occurred. That's when everything can happen once any any deal that was on the transaction wire. Any release any trade? Four p.m. yesterday counts pre June one. If you will, anything after June one would be on today's transaction wire which could've happened last night. Somebody could be informed you were traded. You were cut. Whatever so sure. Um, I do think it could very well be possible. Maybe they're just judging the landscape, and that's why it's to one. They waited till the last. They just waited till the bills typically do this, though under under Brandon beena Shah McDermott, They are not a team that rushes to do A lot of these things they do take their time. I mean, you even think about the fifth year options for Josh Alan and Tremaine Edmund's as much as it was a complete lock that Josh Ellen was getting his fifth year option. We didn't know until the day of right that the deadline, but that's how this regime operates. They do not rush into things. They wait, they There's no reason to do it. There still wasn't a reason that's the thing about it. That makes me continually go bi curious. Didn't have to do this, but they did it and they did it on June 1st. They could've had a guy come available or make a trade next week. They could have done it then and then make the trade or scoop up the guy. So that's why it's me. Yes, I agree with you. You think about June 1st. They're doing it now. They might have something in the works ready to do, Or they could have just they could really just be sitting on it to make sure that they're ready in case something happens. If if it's for adding another player salad, Not just, you know, in Alan Extension or what, you know something internal If it's for adding another player, who or what position do you think would be the top priority to address at this point? While considering how much they opened up. I can't. We talked a lot about corner yesterday. Like when this happened, People said, Oh, Steven Nelson, a Richard Sherman like you don't have to do that for a guy like that. Like what? Why do you need to create $8 Million when you have three million available now I know they do have to sign. Draft picks That's gonna eat up about $2 million total of their well, actually, I think they already have some on there. So another one something for Russo because you bumped the top 51 All that kind of stuff. The math works out where I mean, are you really gonna pay like Stephen Nelson? Richard Sherman, that kind of money where you gotta open up that I don't see it. I don't see a corner being that guy. I mean, Zach Ertz hasn't eaten half million dollar salary. I don't think the bills are trading for that salary, but it doesn't mean they might not..

Behind the Steel Curtain
The Steelers cut Steven Nelson
"Want wanna start this show with stephen nellis fallout but not just steven nelson steven nelson and the steelers fallout. A lot of people were asking me. Ask the people on twitter saying. Hey gimme your questions. A lot of questions came about steven nelson. Because steven nelson was released from the steelers on tuesday and there is speculation. About what are they going to do with the eight million dollars a day saved. There's a lot of questions about what are they going to do. At the cornerback position There was a lot of questions just in general what happened. Why did they cut nelson. Why did they not cut hayden. Why there's we have more questions than we have answers. Let's put it that way. But the one thing i want to talk about is that where did the steelers go after this where the steelers go after. The news is already coming. Let's be honest. we knew this was coming. If you were if you listened. I said it other people on our platform said it. When steven nelson was granted the request to search for trade. He was as good as gone. The reason being is that no one in their right mind. Excuse me no one in their right mind meaning other. Nfl personnel would have put in a trade request when they knew that the steelers. We're going to cut him anyways. They knew they were going to release in. They knew they needed to salary cap space. They knew that he was the one that they were going to be. Getting rid of so. Why in the world would anyone put in a trade with you. Know he's going to be on the free market. The only team that would is if they're unbelievably needy for a cornerback in a have the draft capital trade. That didn't happen when it didn't happen over the weekend. I said it was going to be released and here. We are on tuesday. And that's exactly what happened. He was released. So i don't think this is necessarily nelson was underperforming. That hayden is better. I literally think this came down to finances. I think he came down to that. He saved them more money now. Mark volley of the athletic recently went on ninety three seven the fan in pittsburgh and said that he does not feel the steelers going to put money back into the team. I kind of disagree with that. I disagree with that for a couple of reasons number one. I think they already had about three million dollars in cap space. That's important to know. Prior to cutting steven nelson steven nelson gets cut. Now at eight million more simple math tells you that's eleven million dollars now when you have eleven million dollars you can sit on it. You're gonna need about three million to sign your draft picks yet you're gonna have to pay out injuries and things like that but they could still go out there and find someone they could still go out there and find a free agent. I'm pointing to the center physician mainly saying if they could just find a center there still are some serviceable centers out there on the open market. They could just find the center and they could be on their way to really shaping this team really and i said it before. I said it on my monday. Show if you missed it go back and check it out my. Let's ride podcasts on monday. I actually liked the way. This team is starting to take shape. I really do people want change in. You're getting it but sometimes it's not the change that you want or necessarily expect that doesn't mean that it's bad change. Sometimes there's change just for the sake change and sometimes there's changed for the better. I think so far. The news made and some of them. You know losing bud depre- losing by hilton losing tyson. Our wallet losing matt feiler. Oh those players. That's not changed that they could control the salary. Cap goes the one eighty two point five. They can't control that.

Acknowledging that migrants apprehensive apprehensions are on pace to be the highest in twenty years but yet on wednesday. He still refused to call it a crisis. Adopting the official party line. Apple's Challenge In China As Latest Tariffs Take Hold
"This message comes from n._p._r. Sponsor xfinity some things are slow like a snail races. Other things are fast like xfinity x. by get get fast speeds even when everyone is online working to make wifi simple easy awesome more at xfinity dot com restrictions apply it is now september which means more u._s. Tariffs on chinese products. I've taken effect. The fifteen percent charge hits consumer goods like tools and clothes then shoes and electronics which means the tariffs are moving closer and closer to the core business of apple. President trump may have urged u._s. businesses to get get out of china but reporter steven nelson reuters says that is not so easy for apple. It's kind of married to china and as much as apple is big. It's one of the biggest and china is big. It's one of the biggest nellis covers apple as for a long time and says the company has found ways to avoid many tariffs up to now but getting out of china entirely. That's not very likely because apple make so many phones in china that are shipped to the united states so when you're making two hundred million plus us devices a year and you want to have the move very quickly through that supply chain. It's hard to find it anywhere else but china so one of the things that tim cook who's the current right ceo of apple is famous for is built out this supply chain. We're apple could make tremendous numbers of devices but only hold a few days of inventory at a time so two hundred million devices per year any given time apple only has maybe five days worth of inventory on hand. That's what's made the company any so tremendously profitable because inventory that's sitting around costs money to accompany so unless apple wanted to sacrifice that profitability it'd be difficult to move anywhere else but china wow that just in time delivery on that scale and on a global scale is about as breathtaking as anything. I've heard about apple. That's right and and you know you probably have seen some stories that other companies are looking at moving manufacturing places like vietnam and i think it's important to keep in mind with apple that most most other companies that are shipping not nearly as many phones they are so they have a lot more flexibility in being able to move their supply chain. How has apple largely avoided loyd tariffs up to now on the trade war one way that it's done so simple but asking the government not to impose a tariff so some apple products like the air pods wireless career buds were the apple watch where actually set to be tariffs almost a year ago now and the company along with many other electronics manufacturers percentage comment letter to the government and said. Please don't do this and also you've seen c._e._o. Tim cook go have dinner with president trump and tried to impress upon him what what these terrorists will mean to companies like apple is in china also market as well as a supplier for apple. They sell a lot of iphones china absolutely so the greater china region which which includes mainland china and a few other places like hong kong macau and accounts for more than a fifth of apples revenue. The primary way that trade war has actually heard apple so far far has not been through tariffs but the impact of the trade war on the chinese economy so the trade restrictions that the u._s. has imposed have slowed economic growth and that insurance has made it very difficult for apple to sell its phones in china. We are in a situation where the trump administration keeps adding or threatening more tariffs on products from china. What is happening happening to apple now that we're into september well. Most analysts are expecting apple to essentially absorbed these tariffs passing the cost on to consumers would raise raise prices for apple products which are already priced at a premium and that would simply result in apple selling fewer products so they'll probably absorb it and then there are multiple apple ever. They can try to pull to essentially avoid them. If apple eats the cost of the tariffs to some extent. Does the stock price go down to the dividends evidence get smaller what happens so apple's investors were largely eat this because apple's profits will dip in the stock is valued on the basis of those prophets and the president goes through with even more tariffs on december fifteen is apple finally going to get to the point where they cannot avoid massive tariff penalties in december fifteenth is the big day for apple because that's the day where the iphone would be hit unless they make some kind of partial solution like taking the circuit boards for iphones and a separate country and putting those circuit boards in the ones bound for america but even that is bound to incur significant -nificant amounts of cost for apple because the supply chain is just so highly efficient than has been smoothed out over a decade now stephen miller of reuters. Thanks very much for your insights. Thank you for having
