"Are Up don't. You know it stands in for a whole world of things. How did you develop that it? Can you talk a little bit about how you approach character as a writer? I think all three of us are very plot oriented but we all know that character is at the heart of everything and that the best plot in the world is meaningless if the characters aren't rich and complex and compelling. The original pitch that Walter Larry had had made to Fox was it's a high tech dirty dozen. And dirty dozen was this wonderful World War Two movie in the sixties. That started with a trope that is just Great and that we love it in every film that it's in, which is recruiting the team, a recruit teams the best that's exactly so pleasurable. So pleasurable and so our original idea was we're going to have a movie that starts with recruiting the team. And that focus on character we came up with all these different characters and a certain point in the writing. We realize we've got so much story to tell let's do away with recruiting team and have the team already being in in place, and so we actually have to give up something that was one of the key things that made us fall in love with the promise of this product whilst you really had to kill your darlings on constructing, it is a graveyard full of darlings from You mentioned They're you know how delicious that trump is, and of course, heist films of which I think sneakers is in the candidate. Heist films. Have a lot of them. Do you think about that when you're writing when you're constructing a plotter you thinking about like this is a trope that's really useful for these reasons. Let's put it here or is it more intuitive and that's kind of something that happens in revision. I. Think it's more intuitive and I think that some at some point you realize, Oh, I'm doing something that's been done before and let's go look and see how how it's worked well on how it's not work well. We started by screening, lot of heist films. We watched TOPKAPI and re Fi and the hot rock and the Anderson Tapes, and we had a lot of fun part how we spent that first year was watching his great heist movies. And they what they all have in common they're really smart. They're full of twists and turns and surprises. And the characters are great. You know it's the reason you watch these movies ultimately as because they have great characters. It's a rare movie no space Odyssey two, thousand, two, thousand, and one is an exception where you fall in love with it for reasons other than the characters. Right right and it's particularly true in heist films because they have to ground all the kind of other stuff that's going on. Otherwise they're just stealing from someone kind of who cares about that exactly and the mechanism by which they design and perform the heist and the mistakes they make and the ways they correct. Those mistakes are all grounded in character. They all have to be because this character can do this. We cannot do that. And of course, sneakers, you have this incredible cast playing those character. Yeah I will try to list them really quickly, Robert Redford. Sidney Poitier Dan. ACKROYD REVERSE PHOENIX. Mary McDonald David there and Kingsley Steven. Jones Jones I mean I, imagine coming off field of dreams helped in terms of getting this cast together. But like how did you cast this movie and get that particular group. We were always thinking bishop was our age and we had a list of all the movie stars that were early forties at that time. Robert Redford being in his probably mid fifty then wasn't on the list. I was at Kevin Costner's Oscar party night he won for dances with wolves. And one of the CIA agents. Came up to me and said, Hey I'm working really hard to trying to get at Bob in your movie and I said. Abu He said Redford does it what movie he said sneakers I said for what role he said deleted it no no, no no. The that guy that character is my age as a lot younger and I said do me a favor please don't send it to Bob I I don't want to insult him because he's a he's one of my idols. Absolute I kinda great actor. He's an important man in the history of Hollywood. Please don't send it. And he said he's read it. He wants to do it. And I said Oh shit. And I went home that night and I even had a bunch to drink I. SAT UP is probably three thirty in the morning I sat up and reread the script picturing Redford in the role. It was the best version of the movie I ever imagined. Everything got bigger funnier more serious more poignant. And I got up in the morning I thought Oh my God, what a great idea and I called Tom Pollock who is chairman of Universal And I, got him out of a meeting. with with Lou Ostermann Sid Sheinberg was very unhappy pulled out of the meeting and I said. Sneakers Redford and he said what you want to send it he's ready wants to do it. He said Wow all right I'll get into it. and. He called Ovitz that day and they started working on a deal. Once we have Bob. It became a lot easier to get everybody else I. Yeah. I knew Sydney, a little bit. So I sent I, call them up and said, would you read something? And he read at that day and calling back the next as and I'm in..

"Third quarter. Lebron scored the Syrian Death Prescott and the cowboys have reportedly met and the numbers that have been discussed include thirty three million annually and one hundred five million guaranteed according to Calvin Walk into the Dallas Morning News. Cowboys officials met with representatives twice since the end of the NFL scouting combine so Shannon. What do you make of this report? Love nothing absolutely nothing if you notice. They're still trying to visit the cowboy side and they're releasing this through Calvin Watkins they're releasing this through Adam schefter because they're still trying to paint dakyns being greedy. If you believe most so much that GonNa give that three hundred and five million dollars fully guarantees Galas I told you and I are reiterate this again. What the cowboys are trying to do. And they start this. That last year's COMBI portraying Dacca's greedy if he's unwilling to give us a hometown discount. Money is more important than winning. So what you strive to do is that Khartoum wins. Got What he got one hundred eight guaranteed Jerry. Gall comes behind him. Get a hundred and twelve million guaranteed died size a all your words didactic. Assigning all year later after he's navigated minefields and shark-infested waters take less guaranteed money than two guys got in front of him. So what you do when you do that. You suppress the market now. All of a sudden where the market is continuing to grow expand. You drink it you know that would last got assigned and this is what he got. No I'm not going to have to have it on my watch. Oh He needs to call Jerry. But what that Prescott Agai. There's a football player. You want him to get into high stakes negotiation with a guy to do built millions and billion dollar deals. No that's why France and that's why you hire financial guys get bayless if I can handle my own money. I would need a financial guy but I got him for a reason. At what reason do I have him? If I'M NOT GONNA listen to the information that he'd given me baby. Just take your sleep. You and your cowboys Thanksgiving. Yeah Yeah you were. Y'All make us nick. Skip to make a long story short and I'm GonNa put it in a nice neat package for the cowboys are still not one hundred percent. Sure 'cause I can assure you when it comes time for Doctor Dak Prescott to Shawn Watson and homeboy to get their money. They will not be any of this back and forth. There will be none of this waffling. If you're sure. Russell got his money no problem. Aaron Rodgers got his money with two years left on his deal. Now this man is played the contract fourth round pick. He said the hometown discount I gave you is when you got me in the fourth round and I didn't make a two million dollars I still had made two million dollars in salary what I made it. Endorsements is not your concern skip bayless. They don't believe any and you know what this is doing now. This is called the bad blood. Because they're gonNA snapped the franchise tag on it and you building a kirk covering situation because you're gonNA start betting against yourself and this is not going to end well. By the way point of order the franchise tag will hinge on if the new CBA gets ratified and approved by the end of this week right because there's deadline on Thursday schooling and if it is ratified if it's in place there's only one Franchise Tag Ryan. It might go to Amari Cooper so that would necessitate getting this done or not right right right okay. So here's the point you're saying that the Dallas cowboys are trying to paint. Dak Is the bad guy job and I completely and utterly disagree with you because that's what's called classic cutting off your nose despite your face. He is the face of their franchise. And he's the one guy you don't want to vilify publicly because you can't risk going forward you need to make this deal happen or not happen but if it happens you need him to be his image intact. Is the face of your franchise and the leader of your football team if you want to vilify. There's one huge missing variable hill here that we have not heard from either side and that is how much is back asking for. You have no idea unless you know something that I don't know okay because I think it's way out of bounds. What he's asking for. And if Jerry Steven Jones Jones wanted to go to the Mat. If they want to get down and dirty they will release. What the final offer was on the other side or the final. Ask Ondeck side because it could be outrageously out of bounce to the point that everybody in cowboy nation would sit back and say. That's that's just terrible. You're really greedy back. But nobody's thinking you know how these contracts work all that forty years to five years for two hundred million means nothing how much in guaranteed money. No and we still don't even have a report about the guaranteed portion remember. Everything we're talking about right now was offered before the season started the thirty three million and the hundred and five total were offered before the season started growing. Then everybody's reporting that dat got hot. I three games. You remember. And he decided to bet on himself going forward and a stalemate occurred right. An impasse occurred that still. The ice has been broken even though they had a couple of conversations one at the combine one after the combine artist they come to Dak Prescott in September before the season starts and they say that we got one fifteen to one twenty guaranteed which is five to eight million dollars more than Jerry. Golf Guy you're talking about a different number. That's the total of the minimum guaranteed. Yes that is not guaranteed. You WanNa talk about guaranteed how much how much the number is guaranteed at signing the highest in the NFL is Matt Ryan at Ninety four five even Carson Wentz. He got one. Oh eight total supposedly this offer. Didac was one oh five but but again Carson Wentz got guaranteed at signing sixty six point. Five million no. No no no no. I'm saying guaranteed. Because the guaranteed money that wins got is one eight until you're really guaranteed. It's how much guaranteed go Matt Ryan. Got Outrageous guaranteed at ninety four point five. I don't know how much of the One. Oh five offered is guaranteed. I have no idea but Mike. Florio is making the case and I don't know maybe he's been prompted by somebody internally in house in Dallas because it's more team friendly look at it. Yes but he's saying thirty three annual that was offered way back before the season started would make him the highest annual paid in the league higher than Russell Wilson Because Russell Wilson's deal if I can be simple with this was was already in place and they added new money on top of that you also at you have to you. Have to factor in old plus new and it drags down to thirty one point four correct so his thirty five overall according to Florio semantics but he semantically is looking at it as less than the thirty three so florio is is trying to advance the idea that wait a second. The thirty three offered back in September before the season started was the most annual salary of any NFL QUARTERBACK. Going right now right. Okay yeah that you can. You can sell it like that like that for decades and buying it because at the end of the day gift you know what it's about you made that barely clear. How much of guaranteed what Mr Blank for? The Falcons is that they gave Matt Ryan One hundred million but he gave him ninety four million at the time of signings. Rachel weapon hot man. Yes now you prorate it. So that's what the cowboys are. GonNa have to do. Skip in order to get that. They're gonNA to have to give him ninety plus million. Okay so remember Jason Lockenfora. I think he was writing for. Cbs last week. He said an agent had given him this this whole proposition of. How could you do this? How could you sort of break the bank for Dr Instill fitted under your cap? And his idea was go ten years giving him a ten year contract and give him a hundred and twenty-five to sign so all of a sudden upfront. In the first three years that could make a hundred and forty three million. It's all signing bonus but you're basis would be four six eight correct. You got to do it because you you go pro. That's signing bonus over ten years ten years. Okay well I I kind of liked. It would get. He'd really paid years. Yes be He'd be really happy. Have they discussed this kind of an idea blueprint for Tim Allen? I don't know if you can go ten years. I think seven might be the match. You can go now so even if you go even if even if you go seven and give him something like that you pro seven twenty five. That's still a doable number. You sure there is the new. Cba GONNA limit it okay. You factor in the thing. I noticed about the CPI Smith Scott. I think it's ten years. He got a ten year deal become. Here's the thing ties with when he did his deal. He wasn't up so they tacked eight years. Plus two like the like these deals. Get when you really look at it. Veke had more years left on his deal when you add the five plus the two that was left on his deal. This is what you get years left on his deal. Skip so in that. Basically it would be a legit ten years deal. Okay so just for those out there who don't get this. We're dealing in what what what you can take to the bank is. You're guaranteed portion of what you got putting them pocket right now Matt Ryan. Ninety four point five kirk cousins eighty-four because he got guarantee guarantee. That's really good. Aaron Rodgers got seventy nine point. That's really good now. It starts to drop to Russell Wilson at Seventy Carson Wentz got sixty six point five so I'm saying Carson Wentz is deal is not that great if that's all you got if you got thirty million less guaranteed than Matt Ryan. I'm saying you didn't do that. Great it looks good on paper right. You didn't sell it right. I think the thing that Matt Ryan had going in his favor he was an MVP. It's giving varies the way. Mr Brain Blanked Perceives Matt Ryan and the way Jeffrey Lurie Perceives Carson. Wentz is two different things but at the end of the day. Dak Prescott saying you guys said you believe in me. You said I believe you believe that I can win multiple championships for this football team. You don't act like it. You don't act like it okay so when the mud will start to get slung is when you hear somebody report. Because they got it from the inside from Jerry or Stephen that is asking for X. That's when the mud will start to be slung over each other right because then you'll sit back and say he wants that but we have nothing reported about because theoretically skip. Because here's the thing right now. There's no numbers on. The other side is being because theoretically you could say well todd. France did release that so he might have just saying the cowboys offered this Yada. Yada Yada you could say the cowboys but when you come from the other side I can assure Utah. Francis not releasing no numbers. Because you could be right. He might be asking for thirty seven. Thirty eight million with a hundred and fifty guaranteed you might be. I don't know so so far. Dax safe to me on the greed factor. On the bad guy.

Oh he threw for four sixty three. My guys are war. You're my guy who he battled. I got major problems with everything Stephen in this radio interview and I like Steven Even Jones that I did not like these comments. He said we were obviously trying to run some clock to we all know what happens in this league when you score too soon. I don't know that because I've been watching this game and covering this game a lot longer than Stephen has and all I know is it's hard dischord national football league especially against the Minnesota Vikings in the red zone. Yeah you take. What's there if you can score on second and two with a foreword forward pass you forward? Pass it yes to Jason Witten or Amari Cooper. Whoever happens to be open on that play? My quarterback was on his way to playing playing the game of his life. And at this point in time. Don't tell me let's hand it off so the clock can run because the corollary to that statement has also also. I don't trust my defense at all against Kirk cousins. That's what he was saying or cousins. Gone right back down toward right. They can go right back down the field and score on you kirk cousins. Can you were six and one against Kirk cousins. Lajolo you gave D. Low twenty one million. You gave a Smith Jalen smell. Yeah I I agree with Robert Quinn give. You made the TRAE for Eichel Ben. Michael Baena skipped us. That's what he's a good little out here for example. Exactly what he's talking about. He's saying what you don't want to score two quick now. I work during the week. I'll be equal. Ideally for me Friday night Saturday night would be he golden okay. Well what did he say. I can't go out on Friday but I can go out with your win third. Nah Okay do that. Stephen is saying I don't want to score on I if I were you. I want to take some time off the clock. Do you realize Hutton harder to score in the NFL. I said that twelve minutes with ten minutes with five me to uh-huh all live with whatever happens if my defense done stop them. Hopefully they leave enough time that that can go back down the field. But I'm not that girl me crazy we're gonNA try to okay. We're GONNA go on third down so we can burn about an extra minute and a half to stop it on. Get it in the end zone by any means necessary S.. I'm sorry I don't think Stephen was speaking with his wallet. That's actually an outrageous contention that you just made that. He's trying to sort would've killed handicap if I'd let the run the ball in the end zone. Yeah that's one less tech touchdown that could have thrown for well. You could also look at it. He's was thinking I want the most bang for my buck. And we paid him fifty million dollars give it to the fifty million dollar man with a hundred million dollar man on his hand well he might but again that guy was looking like a hundred million dollar man up to that point we want to keep them at gaming was speaking more with his heart because they love them some Jason and Garrett he is like a an extra son to rub your brother. Stephen considers him like a brother British from the major. They're pretty close. There's Jerry Junior just below them so you'd be the Third Song Jerry Nadler's daughter Charlotte but the point is I think he was mostly defending Jason Garrett saying thing I'm not going to second guess my head coach who deserves to be third fourth and fifth guest. And he's just not going to do it. You hardly Jason. Well he deserved hello if he all he does is okay. That's all they do is. Why are you blaming him blake? Oh isn't that Kelly Moore. I believe he overruled Kellyn more skulls. And would I tell you about head coaches. They always have the veto power of run rule. You Pass you can say run it and obviously you're not going to run it at that point would Tony Pollard. You'RE GONNA run up with twenty one and he said run it twice and then there was a time out called right on time. By Mike Zimmer which costs DAK Prescott the ability elite quickly call his own. Play on only play that I will. Second Guess. If I got Amari Cooper I got Michael Gallup I got Randall call. My first option is not Kazuki little in the past if if outgoing the ball. That's just me now I will. I will question that if I got those three guys. And Jason Witten. VIC IS FIFTY PHILP option. Vic was the first optional. Little chance he looked like the primary ask all day all night to go to twenty one. There's there's there's zero chance in the situation that Terrell Davis was gonNA come before myself Rod and mechanic a situation like that. That's not happening running the ball. Td But TV's not going to be the first optional. No panoply in that situation. Especially now that I'm not seeing the four four forty burst from Zeke's of the ability to separate from Eric Kendricks. The linebacker was not there because Eric Kendricks beat him to the spot right he beat him to the football. I believe he did he he did. Jason went and double covered him away with. This has a Smith in the usual way you go with the hairs. Here's my quick Randall. COBB right but again you'd have to have the ability to look at the third choice. It looks like they just gave him a one way after. You got a flat Zeke regarding the angle rotten cross hint Kendrick face. Now he's got a first down. Maybe yeah maybe that was the play call yes okay so what did I tell. Oh you on Monday morning I will never get over those three plays like they took years off my life and I was devastated by it. I was traumatized by it. Because it made no sense. I've got everybody in. The world was watching the game in new. The quarterback was crazy hot. Let him finish what he started. He the six yard line with five completions down to the eleven yard line. Let him finish. Let him close the deal. was there you go. Uh I don't WanNa hear my sort of CO owner here. Stephen Jones say I have no problem with the play call. I didn't mind the play call at all said Steven Jones Jones Steve I. Will you make more obvious. Reason rooting craze skip. I had no vested interest in the game. Yeah well I mean. We're happy to be miserable. Fate what does he do he will give you. And now you've got two people upset. Edit you Mama Zeke. As I told them they become a I got you. I've been in this corner from day. One Yeah you you got the Sun and you say Jerry very should sleep with the phone under his right. You don't trust at all. I.

"With locking Wiley Lavar ARRINGTON and Bucky Brooks back time now for a big story. Let's move to Dallas. Redact Prescott has put the ball squarely in the cowboys court this season playing well enough to ratchet up the pressure on the team to get his contract done sooner rather than later Cowboy Executive Vice President Steven Jones Jones says the two sides aren't very far apart and that the money will put deck in rare air. He also something about cruiser. We need to do right by deck. I think Mallon's team friendly deal now. They're talking about doing right by that. the question is this making the highest paid quarterback and player in the NFL the right thing to do absolutely Yoma Dag drum roll again. We ain't GonNa do that again. Where I'll just give you all the stats that just shows how Great Dak Prescott is is in the most important categories including winning. Let's talk about what this this conversation is about right now in the present tense if you look at these two games. I don't think they should do is move the conversation in terms of price what I think it should do is give you confidence in and the move. You're GONNA make so. There's two different things occurrence. Some people were thinking every game that plays he should get more money. I'm like Nah. You should have more confidence in the money. You're GONNA give them all ready eighty now. Why is that Ezekiel Elliott who had two years left on his contract under control with the franchise tag was given a concert the contract early why because they knew where that will land in public perception in a fan base oh Zeke's top three if not the best running back in the League oh we could pay him prematurely even though two years maybe four years under contract knucklehead whatever people are going to justify this because he is Zeke. The reason season deck has got signed. Yet is because public perception still has anxiety trepidation DAX going to make how much but you know what these two games did. He'd give you confidence where this is going to land. It's going to land in a different place than it was two years prior to this moment so if I'm Jerry Jones Stephen Jones Audi the price is going going to be the highest paid. He's in the boat is rising because the tide is hired sort do be speaking that truth visit they get power mad because it it has elevated because at one point and you rightfully art one more than Carson wins. Yes now one more dollar than Russell Wilson. Yes point boy. That'd be a few more dollars Russell Wilson because I've had to wait for my money. I've I'm giving you four years at a discounted rate and the fact that I couldn't get my money last year. I now have the leverage. I'M GONNA punish you have to give me my money and make me right so when they talk about rarified Friday we're going to do right by him and they have to do right by me because according to this six hundred eighty thousand that's what my check looks like. I'm looking at guys like Rothlisburger Jared Goff off Carson Wentz thirty two plus million dollars and I'm making six hundred thousand. Oh No we're not. We need big money. We need. We gotta make it right now. Darnay I'll tell you what killing last last segment use the word desperation that that would that would that would describe having the type of personnel that you have in Dallas Right now and Jerry Jones trying to get that elusive sieve super bowl. It's turning into a desperation situation for Jerry Jones all right so that's one thing then you may reference after the gang you said man you're talking about a outstanding performance in the nation's capital against the divisional rival that heads. Zeke in the passenger side right seat of the car who was driving okay when you had those things to say and you're talking about the compliment what that man is is doing on that football field. He has shown you in one of the largest. Mark is the top football team and the market. He doesn't unfold under pressure. You have desperation and you got a guy who understands what that star represents and is representing it well you. It's not even a question of if he will be the highest pay or if I right here to do it is the right thing to do. A question is how much how much of a gap from Russell Wilson Willie d where he makes that that lies administrator backpay kept Ich bin along but they don't have to go to forty eighty now. I really do and Marceau's you miss it yesterday. We Kinda giggled to James later for saying that and I certainly lambasted todd France for wanted potentially. I think that's where they're adding. I think that's what Stephen Jones say. It's gotTa be right for that why they went from team friendly friendly to it's gotta be right for that and I I have to. I think it's the right thing to do because the dude has been that reliable for oh you on and off the field not a whiff of controversy when Jerry got into his load national anthem controversy Dak stood there right there with him stood strong and then has shown up physically not not Ben Carson Wentz. A lot of these guys can't stay healthy that runs the ball bit has been there physically for you every game and is ascending as a passer you gotta give them in his forty because you already know the cavs. GonNa go up and Patrick. Mahomes is going to go to forty twenty five so yeah. It's the right thing to mop. Position has not changed. His floor was a dollar more in Carson. Wentz and the ceiling is crazy this sound it was there forty million and now it seems like a reality so now you hear. Stephen Jones saying we gotta make it. Nice for deck. That's like I've been sitting here forty. We all being now y'all all here and let me tell you why that's so important in statistical form because Jerry Jones has never seen this out of a cowboy's quarterback and the cowboys cowboys rarified air. Yes seven passing touchdowns at the two games not last time that happened where Dallas cowboys uniform nineteen sixty sixty six Dandy Don Meredith hello that we only through Troy Aikman Danny White Roger Starbuck and others Tony Romo Tony Romo and like Tony Banks Originally Carl Sagan so all all of that said and deck saying I'm standing alone brother and the cat goes up every year and you paying guys early all around aboard my turn to me where they can do this and you talked about the fan base and perception. My issue is always been in the locker room. What kind of contract could you put on that where he walking walking in locker room and guys wouldn't raise their eyebrow. They paying do what because look. It happened on mcnabb. Donovan mcnabb was running around in Philadelphia making too much money for some guys in that Locker Room T. O. Gave Voice to it but he was not alone. Though I don't think is just some in lone wolf he was speaking for others like. I don't know if he's really worth it and again. This is not a shot at day but I don't. I wouldn't put back right now. At the level. I had Donovan mcnabb at that time in his prime. Donovan mcnabb was balling out of control terrific. Dak seems to be going that direction and what I think has done the way he's handled everything is he's not gonna face the kind of blowback that mcnabb idea within his own locker out but with that being said if you look at that locker room and Philadelphia that was a very very veteran heavyweight eight locker room dudes you're not going to sit there and be like look at Brian Dawkins or or some other guys those guys you know. There's some of those guys on that team. Troy Vincent was on that team. I mean they're they're guys that really in that locker room and trotters a hater so you got to believe that when you look at some of the personalities of how they were and how money driven some of those guys were you're talking about from a leadership perspective and from. I'm a veteran perspective. I don't think he's going to have that type of blowback. I'll give another analogy to it that you can say the exact same thing about but there does seem to be a pattern because at one time I think mcnabb may have been the highest paid player in the League Russell Wilson even though he just now got to be the highest once he got paid in Seattle the Legion of boom started tearing and Adak. There's something about being a black quarterback and getting all that money that in these seventy percent black locker rooms. It doesn't play as well as it should. It doesn't play well. Sometimes they feel like there's not a level of authenticity. When it comes to to the player I think the thing would Russell Wilson there were people that may have questioned his authenticity in terms of how we act in how he presented himself out in the when he came to the interviews abused with Dak Prescott. I think there's been a level of consistency from the time that he's been starting quarterback for. Dallas is the same guy he and Zeke were joined at the hip. They've rookie season but after that that has kind of become his own man when it became it came to become the leader of the franchise you talked about the national anthem and how he stood stoop with owner all the other things Hanley all the questions as some point. We always talk about this. Franchise quarterback has to be presidential. I don't think without question that we can and say he has been a presidential player when it comes to deck risk. I think that wasn't a black or white issue. I think that if I were in lock let me just teleport over there and say yawn championships mcnabb or debt so then we get into a conversation of achievement versus earning. What have you achieved versus? What are you now going to earn because I know got up mountain and it was hailed to pay and you as well but you didn't get to the top of the mountain so if you're GonNa make that amount of money and then you're gonNA walk around like you have that in your pockets and you haven't been to the mountaintop now I gotta issue what you're black or white. joined now by former browns head coach. Hugh Jackson is time for does dude myself. Get got some love for those dues in the trenches. You don't get enough Afla but they do on our show that dues do. Let's start off with number three. "Let's get back to the Dallas cowboys now by now we we know they're conundrum. They have three offensive stars with the desire to pay just two of them this year. It's simple math problem but a complicated life problem for Steven Jones Jones enmity yesterday that Deck Mari Zeke are all talented saying we've got three really good football players that we're dealing with keep in mind. None of the three half super bowl ring so brian are the cowboys big three just a little overrated. I don't think they're overrated. I think they're actually really good in sneakily. I think they have a good chance of winning the N._F._C. East and that's taken a lot from the Philadelphia Eagles. We have a stack roster. I think when you talk about the N._F._C. East you're talking about a team that can run the football football and played good defense to me. That's the recipe for success especially in the playoffs with all three then have all three. All three of them have to have to be there now. When you compare the the big three across the League you're talking about Mahomes? You're talking about hill and Williams they don't compare to them you talking about Aaron Rodgers Damian Williams and Davante Adams. They don't compare here too. You're talking about Tom Brady Eshelman and Sony Michelle they don't compare them because those football teams score the football thirty plus points a game. The cowboys are twenty in the low twenty points per game because they're winning team. They WANNA play great defense to run the football so it's hard to compare them to those high scoring football team so you think we'll see difference. Though <hes> with Keller Moore's the offense coordinator talk about he's GonNa let Dak aired out more. They got more motion before the snap thrown at me right like do do you think they'll open it up and be more productive off. I think they will open it up but you have to give the ball to your best player and he's behind the quarterback. That's Ezekiel Elliott when he gets in camp. He's the best player he's GonNa get another season of three hundred plus touches. He's going to have another season. He's GonNa catch sixty plus balls. He had seventy seven last year. He's a very good receiver. I obviously he's a great great running back. You have to give that man the ball. I don't think that offense changes very much. Here's what I think I think they're underrated all right now. I'm not saying they're the best big three in the league but look Dak Prescott. The athletic just did their story where they pull fifty five executives and coaches that press cots ranked seventeenth among quarterbacks a a tier three.

"Goes out there without a new contract and this is one of those instances sciences where we can actually look back on a decent sample. What did the cowboys look like without Ezekiel Elliott? Well we know in two thousand seventeen there were five and three football team and then Zeke finally had to serve that six game suspension the first three games that six game suspension there were only three and there were outscored ninety two twenty two they ever seven points a game the first three games without him. They ended up rallying. They won the last three but in that stretch. What did it do today? Check Dak in that six search without Zeke one hundred ninety yards per game five total touchdowns quarterback rating seventy seven he had one good game that actually elevated that entire stretch against a more of a giant team he had aided through for one seventy fiving Atlanta. He had a thirty quarterback rating against Philli a sixty one quarterback rating against the chargers threw for one hundred yards against Washington their offense ground to a halt because if he's not out there and all all of a sudden deck instead of facing eight-man boxes is facing seven million boxes or even six million boxes now his limitations Basser come to the forefront so listen. He's got two years left on his deal. The cowboys got to be back maury Byron Jones Lyle Collins. Maybe Jalen Smith all those guys only have one year left on their deal but he is so clearly their best player that in even though he has two years left he has an odd amount of leverage here in season the cowboys after winning just their second playoff game and what fifteen years they think they can take a major step forward this season making conference championship what you know about Zeke and Jerry Jones and the way the cowboys do business. Does it get to the point where he has to hold out. Yes because DAX contracts up Amari Cooper is contract is up and his visit to the Commissioner's Office did not help his contract. Steven Jones Jones has been very vocal about paying Dak Stephen Jones back in May. I don't want people to forget when he was asked about Zeke. He said that's something. I'm sure we'll get worked out over the next couple years that was in May Zeke wants a worked out in the next couple of weeks so you wonder how much of that leverage has been less than because of that visit spicy back here.
