There is nothing better than Wisconsin. Sweet coin. Oh, man. Okay, go up. Pick it, skin. It. And cook it, especially on the grill. Yes, you know, Frank, there's about I'd say a dozen people on the tax lines for the scene, throwing corn on the cob. The festival stuff grilled corn on the cob. I've done that and your grill and you throw it in a in one of those plastic coolers and let it steam for a little bit All my goodness is that Yep. How do you like it, Frank? "Steven Carol on Wtmj. Stephen Caroline National Say something nice day You had some good ones. I had some good ones Spinal gave us Extra love, little Chin buggy. All right, So joining us on the phone usage USA Today columnist author, uh, just all around, Well rounded guy. Smart guys like him are smart, smart. That's that's your say something nice. So Christian before we get to what we're gonna get to It's national. Say something nice. They say something nice boy. I'm on the spot here. You're very nice for having me on the show. You chose the easy around like I get it. I get it, Have you Because you are smart guy. That's my say something nice. All right, Let's get to it Way touched on this earlier in the show. I have no patience for fans being idiots. And we've seen in the post call sort of post pandemic world fans coming back to sports, and in some cases, they're acting like idiots. What's going on here? Yeah, it just kind of Seems like we've all for gotten. How Toby being public, right. Can't behave. Yeah. I mean, you have the guy run out on the last night and you know if these people are doing so for You know to get their faces shown in public. He's also wearing a mask at the same time. Well, what's he doing here? Um, so, yeah, I mean, you have people throwing water bottles that spitting And, uh, I don't know what to make of the Christian because we've been going to sporting events for a long time. And now that we're back to events suddenly we've all forgotten how to behave. Right. I think it It might be a stretch to try to Equate any of this or blame any of this on on the Corona virus and the lockdowns and thus you know all this stuff, but I think it's not. I think I think there's something to the fact that You know, during the lockdown And if you want to punish me, government come after me, You know, come arrest me for not wearing a mask at my Thanksgiving dinner or whatever. So I think Some people may have just gotten it in their heads. That rules don't apply to me, and maybe one of those people is the president. Who says, you know if I wanna stage a coup against the government, you know who's gonna who's gonna punish me. And of course, he was never actually punished for any of that stuff. So That's an interesting point man, leading by example. And if we see that breakdown, is it any surprise that we're seeing people behave badly at sporting events on airplanes in grocery stores? Is there a cause and effect or correlation? Right when we have our leaders that do things like this and are never held to account. Why wouldn't the normal normal everyday guy on the street? Say, Well, why would I behave myself? Why would I follow these rules? When You know, our leaders don't have to. So I think You're just seeing people at games. And of course, there's probably some alcohol involved. And, um yeah, people just kind of losing their mind. I'm hoping that it stops now. You know, we're seeing this stuff happened at NBA games, but I'm worried about the domino effect as it goes into, as we get into more 100% capacity, and we go into NFL, we've got an You know, the National baseball and then we've got some collegiate things that are going to be opening up in happening. I'm worried about all of it, all of it. Right that this could just be that you know the tip of the iceberg. I mean, we're just starting to see these arenas start to fill up. Thankfully, none of these things that happened in Milwaukee because No. We have such a cultured people in our city. There's your say something nice job market on. Certainly nobody during Ellie Kemper was, but apparently people on Twitter are now bashing her beating her up for her participation in an events or a beauty contest. If you want to call that age 19 now that's the thing we have to go back and targeted for that. Right. This is just the latest in a long syriza of I guess if you want to call it, cancel culture or whatever. Um And so what happened? She in 1999? She's 19 years old. She wins some beauty contest from something called the Veiled prophet Ball. Veiled prophet ball in the In your ST Louis. And people went back and said, Well, this group has some sort of racist past and it kind of looks like it does. Although it reformed kind of in the 19 seventies, people got embarrassed about kind of what they stood for, and so You know the group changed and it's not what it once Woz But she wins this award. And then suddenly here in 2021. Somebody finds a newspaper clipping about it. And people rushed to Twitter to try to make sure that you can't ever work again. Which you know, we've seen it in Milwaukee with Doctor even Chan's Oh, remember when he won the national championship with Villanova That very night reporter asked him about tweets when he was 13 years old or whatever. Josh hater on the Brewers had something like like this happened to him, and he came out and he apologized and it looks like His teammates have have have forgiven him and and other people, too. So This is just It's just so disappointing that the quest of these people the thirst to jump online and try to destroy somebody life because of something that happened 22 years ago, and there were 19 years old. I just I don't know. If they give them some kind of feeling of superiority or or what exactly it does. But I don't know how this gets us any closer. You know, get people to behave any better. If you want to read about Ellie Kemper and Reed Christian ciders piece, you can find it at the College fix, which which is where he writes about some of this stuff, and and the other thing that I guess Twitter is not something that everybody uses. Facebook is a kind of a different world. But when you look at, um the use of Twitter it's a small group. Really. It's It's one of the largest social media platforms, but it's not like Facebook. But yet we give these These attacks this Imports based on that small group so much attention and so much power. Are we? Are we doing yourself a disservice? Are we playing into the to the Attackers? World by giving him so much credence. Yeah. I mean 11 of the strengths of Twitter of social media in general, is that literally anybody can have an opinion about anything, but you know, one of the weaknesses of social media is that literally anybody could have been about anything. So it's both. It's it's strengthen its weakness and You do see a lot of stories out there where you know, somebody decries, you know, so and so playing this part and you know, it's like two or three people. Then it catches fire. And it becomes this this national mean So, um, but I I did actually go on Twitter and I searched for this issue, and there do seem to be plenty of people that are just out for you know, it's just bloodlust. They want to feel better about themselves. Tearing somebody else down and you know there are plenty enough. Plenty of people did to go along with it. So that's where we are. As far as I'm concerned, Christian to tell you the truth. That old adage of people who live in glass houses applies greatly here because it can't always come back to bite him that it could be somebody finding something dirty on you guys too. Well in a lot of cases, you could be anonymous on these on these websites. So you know you have people throwing stuff out there and it's never going to come back on them because we don't know who they are. They just you know, they throw it out there into the ether and hope it sticks. Yeah, I'm not anonymous thing. I've talked about this on the show many times before the fact that when I've asked people why they like that that ability to be anonymous and say, Well, my identity is protected from my employers is a big one. My friends and family can't see what I write. Do you think there's always going to be the case where these platforms will allow people to be anonymous, at least to the to the other users? I always say if you wanna be anonymously, other users fine. But don't be anonymous to the companies that providing that forum that that's a distinction in my mind. Yeah, I've written about this before that. You know that. Cleaner, better place If we actually knew who people were, you know, people always say well. I want to be verified on Twitter. Well, what if Twitter verified everybody because to get verified, you have to show them show them who you are. Um, but you're right. There are some people would say, Well, you know, I can't get on there and say what I really think about politics. Because my employer will see it And, you know, I understand that I used to be an anonymous blogger myself, but A some point. Some social media outlet is going to be completely verified, and I think you're going to see the quality of the discourse get better. In those areas because you you will be held accountable for the things that you say and it would be more like regular life. You know, you can't just walk up to somebody and insult them without getting a pop in the face and justice. Yes and.

"That saved my proof that come Welcome back to Stephen Carol on Wtmj G'kar. I don't know about you, but when I go into arrest, I want to see people dressed up. What's that Nice restaurant? I'm not. I'm not talking about casual places that anything goes their shorts, jerseys. That's a different thing. But when we're talking about like a steak house in this case We're using the example of steak 48 in Chicago sheriff, several locations there. There's a couple other cities across the country that have them as well. They basically put a list together. That said, You know what? Here's our rules. You abide by them. You can enjoy a restaurant. I have zero problem with them doing that. That joins us from P walkie, Huh? How did you know? Right. How are you? I totally totally agree with both of you. And, um I understand. Like Carol said that if you're at a ball game or something, and then you're just coming in for a nightcap, or whatever it might be, But I love to dress up. I want my man to dress up. I want him to look good. I want him to wear a jacket. I think it's important for me. Um, doesn't have to be important for everybody. But For me. It's important that if I'm gonna spend that money, I want to do it with makeup on and my husband with a jacket on And I just want to make another comment. Just I can't quickly, um, weddings and funerals. I think it's very disrespectful when people come in very casual clothes. I think that's awful. Smile opinion. Thank you. Thank you. I appreciate your listening as well to Stephen Caroline on the Syria. Um I absolutely agree with her. There's a choice here you can make. All right. You're not required to go to that restaurant. It's certainly I think, in their discretion to say to people, you know what this is a special occasion for some people do I want to be spending? Let's say two or $300 on a dinner with my wife to celebrate an anniversary or birthday or whatever. When someone next to me is dressed that they just want the Brewers game. They smell like beer or weed on their hooting and hollering. That's not that's my night of my idea of a good night out. You just brought up a very interesting subject because the boisterous customer Is also very irritating to me. I want you. You know what be respectful of the other diners and don't be sitting there hooping and hollering and being, you know, whatever. I just I went once, Lou and I went once to the very nice steakhouse at the casino. Nai understands the casino, right? But the guy and you may call me a hypocrite of this, But the guy sitting next to me was wearing Miami Heat from top to bottom. Talked about him. He had the shorts that went past the knees. The shirt. He was hooping and hollering and having her I won. I won and he smelled like pot, and I was just like initially, I'm like, Oh, God, I don't have to be sitting next to this guy. Why would you ever has to be moved? I'm here is the problem because then I'll have you. Yeah, it just was so loud. I couldn't have a conversation. I said we just got another part of the restaurant. They moved us. I just kind of like the gated it because this dude won enough money. He bought champagne for the entire room. Okay, so I was kind of like, all right. He's buying the champagne. I guess I'll just shut up. I've got a new friend. But, you know, initially I was like, Oh, Miami, he talked about him. And then the part you made the funeral comment. Laura from Brookfield says that people can't wear something decent to a funeral with someone they love has just died. They're not going to do it for a stake. My husband I just came from a funeral where we were dressed better than 90%. The other Mourners Including the immediate family. As from Laura, I've been to those I've been to those, and I just sort of been a weddings where people have jersey sounds like what receptions like, What do you doing? Well, sometimes it's stipulated that this was the wish of. I've seen that happen before two at funerals where there's like a keg at the end of the casket. And it's like the guy was like, Oh, let's just say he's a big brewers fan. Everybody. He loved the Brewers, where it burns sure, easy and enjoy a beer, then set the rules. If the rules are there are no rules. Absolutely. But I think in this day and age if you're spending two or 300 bucks or more on a fancy dinner, you have every right every expectation that the restaurant is going to hold to a standard that includes dress code smell code. If you want to call it that I don't want to smell like him. Pot factory. No, I want a nice night out until one of the caller's point. It's something you look forward to. That's the thing is that if I'm going to spend that kind of cash, I've been looking forward to it for a long time. Right. Quick break back with the news after this stick around more Steven Carol or next WTMJ. "Steven Carol on Wtmj Seema Carol this Monday. Think about words today. Just the changing, okay? Vocabulary. I got another one for you, man. Speed. You know, a man spread is a man's Is that with the guys on planes and study of your legs spread out your crossing other people's safe space. Yeah. Is that a thing? You think I don't know. When do we get to the point where we're a woman's doing it. Do we call it the basic instinct? I mean, seriously? Sharon Stone? Yeah, if we're truly gender equal. Is it okay to say, man spreading mansplaining, Or should we also talked about woman splaining? Yeah, I don't know. I mean, we're all equal, right, Dude, put your legs together. All right. Mike joins us from New Berlin. I think my new haven on new haven. Hey, Mike. Hi, I Stephen Carol, How are you? I'm good. What's your good term? I have one That's been around so long that it's just sort of accepted, but but it's always been working to me and that's L G T B Q. Herbie's sort of accepted that somewhere along the line, But what about it? What about it? Drives you crazy or bothers you? Well, there's two things first of all, It's a bunch. They're not hope. Homogeneous people. That's just a bunch of different groups that they decided the take the initials and lump them together and say, Hey, you can't discriminate against all these different Different groups and the one thing that really sort of drives me crazy about it, Stephen said. These are the same people are saying, Look, don't discriminate based on gender yet their name itself. Is identify gender differently, for example. L and G are two different genders. You don't want us to identify differences in fact, genders science and that is interesting point. Thanks for the call my calling. He was new. The queue was relatively so we're all on the same page. Baseline this for you. L is lesbian, gay, bi bisexual T transgender, Queer Que is queer or questioning so uncertainty about Okay. I'm guessing the gender of the person, right? Right. Um, I'm trying Think if there's a similar example of that, now, that's a group. Those are groups that decided this is how they wanted to be referred to so there's a little different. I don't know that the media assigned this this I don't know the origin of this to tell you the truth, obviously called initial ism, right. You're taking the initials from from the word, so that's one. I got a lot on the text line. Um 262 changing manholes to sewer maintenance holes, Lord I'm telling you, it's really I just want you to speak plainly to me. I don't want to feel like I don't like I'm completely not engaged in the conversation. But if I have to think too much about what it is that you're trying to tell me, we're not having a conversation. It's Carol Confused right? Since you were talking about the birth of your daughter, Lizzie, whose birthday's today Hi Steven Carol, one of the latest and screwy ist Is birthing person, apparently being called mom or mother is no longer acceptable. That's Andy in Burlington. Know we had this conversation with somebody because somebody called me it was on Mother's Day. And said, I hope I'm not offending you by saying Happy Mother's Day. Should I say happy birth person's day and I'm like, No, I'm a mom. Okay? I'm not. I've worked really hard for that title. I want that title. That's my title, and I'm keeping it And I understand birthing persons. I don't even know what that means. It's again. It's zah desire, I guess to pacify some part of the population. But again, it seems We're working too hard. I guess that's the point. Mom is a birthing person. What is what's the guy? I don't know. There's a part of that equation would have to be. I mean, obviously, you have to have you know, two to tango in order to have a baby, but what you call him like a Donor, a male, the male donor, I guess, And now the texture challenges us, he says. The media will drive this new language uses will be interesting to see how long will take you. Pointing his finger at me another media to to adapt Were adopted in your talk, or will you stand up and do what is logically discussed? I'm giving you my take on it right now. I think this desire to pacify and to their arguments, clarifying. But there I don't think it is. I think it's dangerous. When you start playing with language like that. We have to take a break. You're Jordan. No. We're gonna call Marshall calling from Brandon. Hi, Marsha. Wow. I'm are shockingly Good Morning. Morning. Good morning, everybody Having a wonderful day, a term die a term that I just recently heard, and it drives me insane. Mothers always breastfeed their babies. This term was chest feeding. What's that? Did I hear that right? Yes, just feeding and to the breast feeding like all night. What is the word is the word breast? Is that offensive to some? I mean, that's what they are. We know what it is, Apparently, apparently it is. I mean, We wouldn't have breast fed since the beginning of time, and now it's gonna have to be changed to chest beating. Where did you see this? I thought on a website on a kind of news on my Internet news. Yeah, well, thanks for the call. Marshall was nursing completely gone to the wayside. Then I'm nursing my baby. I said there's a long list of these things. You know, Another one, said parent should be called Conception Partners. Okay, But that's not every parent because you don't have to can actually conceive the child you could adopt. You could write anything right? Exactly. Sperm donors. Another one, right? Well, I That's definitely going to be gender based. You start calling me a sperm donor. You're gonna be asking a lot more questions. You get a lot of people talking about the different breeds of dogs. Apparently, they're combining a lot of different ones. And now there's like multiple e multiple. Do you have the puggle? Which was a beagle and a pug. And you had, um yeah, the Golden Doodle Labradoodle. All that kind of stuff. Yeah, they're just combining two different breeds. Now my Sydney is Australian Shepherd slash golden doodles are mean a golden retriever, so she's probably an Aussie golden Goldie Dawson. But I just call her. How about just Connor? The damn dog about? We need to know. What do I need to know? It's a labradoodle. Whatever. No. Yeah. I don't like your dog. My dog is a good dog. I like your dog. I hate your cat about that simple, straightforward. They know where I stand. I love the dog. I hate the cats. Don't be a hater, Steve. You have never had a cat that you really sidled up to him because you've never given it a chance. I don't get the purpose of it to be out. Other than killing birds like that ceiling purpose that I've determined. You do know this is kind of off topic quickly, but I saw something fascinating on that geo once upon a time, and it was about the 20 most dangerous cats. Number one. The most dangerous cat was the domestic short here just because of the fact that they kill indiscriminately. They don't need to. They have food. People feed them. You know, like a cheetah has to kill tete. That's the same to have nothing but a domestic short hair was the most because they just killed for the heck of it. Yeah. The stone Cold killers. I would think you would like that. No. What I want. I don't want to kill anywhere near me. She is Carol came got take a break back with more of the show. Don't go anywhere. Yes, This is Kristin from a faculty. I love one. Pack those things and pack up. I'm actually doing delivery right now, but I don't live here, but you're on a roll right now. So what do you think? Um, I would say, texting because First of all, I was just told your screener. I've tried going three times and we'll pack of service. Isn't that great Least what I'm texting. I know my text will eventually get through. Good for right now. This phone call might be a little choppy just because of where I am. So there's that factor. Then also, I'm actually hard of hearing so sometimes reading attacks is a lot easier because I can see it clear as day and I can respond appropriately, depending on who I'm talking to. You know, if the service isn't that great, I might not be able to hear Or sometimes they're too loud. Actually, the after exact opposite. That's a good point. It just hurt my thanks for the culture. I mean, that's a good point. I didn't think about that. The heart of everything. That's right. It's clear it's It's right in front of exactly I just for me. I just would like to get back to a world where both. Yes, we're one complements the other, not just bottom heavy on either side, little text wisdom Since we're looking at the act anymore. He's talking to explain frequent texter. Frequent caller, Sam says. There's an old saying What you don't use, you lose. So yes. The young people are being systematically gunned down with current technology. They better be aware of this. It's their future at risk. It is an old versus young arguments. I know because I think over. I've well. The call suggests not because we had We had people seniors and said they love texting, so it's not that I think it's a multi generational. I just think that we have the loss of the ability to communicate and communicate effectively on the phone or in person. Has been. I think it's a direct result of the technology that we have been afforded. I do because we've been able to just get away with it and slide away in it. And like they said, what you don't use you lose for the last word from the 262 attacks. My grandmother didn't like the phone she wanted in person connection, she thought too much was lost in physical contact. Appearance. Body language with just a phone conversation. Yeah, exactly. That's where all those arguments starts. Right. You said What? Right. Well, I didn't say it. I texted it right. But something got lost in the translation. You're right, though. "Got about a half are left Stephen Caroline, this money edition. Jeff Wagner coming in. Of course, at noon on Wtmj, I think Justin Brewers baseball this afternoon. The short chauffeur, Jeff probably guys got the best schedule in the business, but he's hurt because he's been around forever. Can we get him to play it like 10 o'clock where there were some morning games that's going on the Cactus League. I'm gonna 10 o'clock or whatever. But you have both of us now for the next half hour, So I want to talk about travel. So I'll start with me. So obviously the pandemic is change has challenged us not to take a trip last year, and before you jump on me tested for covert before that's for covert. After right, follow the protocols while I was on my trip, But I've had to reschedule some trips. So right now I am scheduled to go to Florida this summer just couldn't get away. You have to use these these credits or point So they go away, huh? Least on the airline that were flying so that that's a quick trip to Florida late June. I'm giving a presentation in Detroit in October, Mass shootings and the relationship between leadership in mass shootings. I assume that's a go. That's like 3000 people in a conference hall, so that might be changed as well. Then I've got to overseas trips, which I have no idea. Right. One is to Paris and one and France I want is to the eastern Mediterranean, November and January. I have no idea of those trips are gonna happen. No, I know that November's Paris. Yeah, I don't think that's gonna happen to you. Um, right now, nobody's traveling really internationally. You want to know something? I don't know. I'm going to see being completely honest with you and say, I do not know. I know that the it's been rough over in Europe for sure. And they've had they've closed down and they've opened up and they closed down in the middle of the search going on again. They don't have the vaccines that we have here, Right? Right. Um I don't know. I mean, if you are able to get the vaccine will you'll feel safer traveling? Well, that's my question. So I was just curious what people think about this, So you know, I'll be vaccinated by the time summer comes like most. I'm helping most people that want to will be vaccinated s. Oh, that's going to change that part of it. There may still be some requirements for mass and stuff, which I think we're all gonna have to deal with. As far as overseas stuff I'm curious of people are are looking at that, and I know that rolls rolls graze on our show. Of course, the great folks and Fox World travel, and I know that their focus has been domestically or some of the warm weather places. There's fairly closely three or four hour plane rides, but I'm curious, and people are starting to think about the future travel. And will they will they look at international travel in the same way? Was geek to go in the eastern Mediterranean. But I have no idea stuff's gonna be open enough to say that Z where I want to travel right now are some of them not so hot displaces to go just because of the fact of the way that the virus is exploding in certain areas. I mean, I want to go. I want to go to the U. K. It's one of my favorite places. I wouldn't like to go and visit Ireland never been there, except for the airport, which doesn't mean anything. But I'd like to go to Prague. I'd like to go. I would even go so far as to say, I'd go back to Asia. I go back to Japan. I go back to I try the Philippines, Singapore that kind of thing I would love to do that. I just don't know because Yeah, and all I would say I'm not getting any younger. You got some time on you? Yeah, I was. I would like to be able to go to some of these places that I want to see before. It's too late. So here's the question. 85561616 20. Are you traveling already? Because I know people that some people are going places and what's the experience? Been like like the folks in Mexico? Are there places like that? Are you? Enjoying that experience, is it Is it to mother reasons I didn't enjoy my Vegas trip Last year was it was like so stripped. Well, you didn't like the blackjack table on the separations between can't even talk to your table party took the whole experience away from you, Um So, Yeah, These are big questions that need to be answered. And I want to make sure that I'll feel safer if I do get the vaccine. And like I said, hopefully, by the end of the summer, I will have had it. Um, lose not going anywhere, so I gotta find out. He's He just doesn't travel buddy lists. I usually listen, I go um or my girlfriend, Mary, But it Z I just want to make sure that I feel safe going to the place that I'm going to really would love to talk to somebody in Texas as well. 855616161 of the equity markets talking text line. Something's been in Mexico. Like, How was that experience? Because I know people are going there to see the pictures. Right? Right, Mexico. The Dominican people are crossing over into that, Uh, most of Rico, can you go down there? I don't know. Well, and you know what? We talked about Aaron Rodgers and his fiancee a little bit earlier on in the show. I know that during the middle because she Was filming, They went down to She talked about the four different plane transfers the plane to get down the machine. Pete, you really? Yeah. So they went together to have a private jet. You know what? That's a real you would think that they would have something Wouldn't shop will be starting a star athlete in the NFL. God knows they can afford it. But yeah, if you gone I know people that have gone to Jamaica. I'd like to know what that experience was all about, Right? So text me if you don't wanna talk. 85561616 20 Just be curious. If you've traveled what that's like and well, you see, as I do. Once we also getting vaccinated. This is going to be the last piece of the reopening, right? We get the airlines back. We get the resorts open the other really Big one, the big linchpin of all of this cruise ships. That's gonna be a tough for Dad. I agree with you and I don't know when that's going to come back. That's a tough 185561616 20 is the number of the accident, mortgage talk and text line. Travel. "Winding down the Monday edition Stephen Carol Kane on this As I said Monday, a little redundant there. All right. So Powerball. Yeah. It's Wednesday night. Is the drawing. Right? I think is tomorrow night, Magda Millions. Oh, that's a newer one, right? But that's huge, too. Yeah, that's up over 700. Somebody asked me. What's the odds of winning both? It's like Hey, something quadrillion Which this means? Never right? Yeah, you're not gonna that's not gonna happen. So I asked the question. I think like 750 million something like that on that's like five. I saw 5 36 million after tax so half a billion dollars was awarded. Let's say You're lucky enough to win single winner. Yeah. Right, she car broad Bonanno 400 million for yourself. You got 100 million toe play with You know what? I don't even know if I take four. I mean, obviously, your family has set for families of generations and generations and generations. Obviously, I think I would probably doom or I've always said that I would give to my family. Um, I think right now, at this particular juncture I would want to give to places and charities that are helping. Like small business owners and things like that. That's what I would do. And I might care about more than 100 million. Maybe 200 million. That's still lives. I'm gonna be fine. What would you do? Oh, that's a good question, so I would. I would probably go half half, right. Okay. So you got Let's see 250. That's all. You need, particular kids, their kids their kids After that, I mean, sure you could waste the money, I suppose. Um And you You're probably not. Probably you build yourself a beautiful house, get by a few nice cars. Maybe a vacation home somewhere. Yeah, I probably do the car thing but the home I don't need any bigger than what I got, right? I like my house knows why probably trick it out a little bit. Maybe add a second story put a basketball court. There's something like that again. That zah few million dollars. So one of the things I thought about was you take the 2 50 obviously investing. That's what continues to grow, so you know Trust or something that continues to earn forever And you dedicated to certain things. Certainly my alma mater, U W M something for those guys. Right? Maybe my high school Oh Creek High School. I think my high school my alma mater would be UW Whitewater. I think I'd like to carve out a little bit of money and give it to some of you know me with animals and some of humane organizations that I've been able to Oh, no. Are, you know adopt animals from better question. Who wouldn't you give it? Well, waste our money Well, and politics don't don't donate to politicians. I will tell you this that if I do win, let's just say, for example, I'm lucky enough on Wednesday. See you later. Steve. You're not gonna be here next Monday and that if I win, $750 million will be here. I probably would be. But I have to think you know what the problem is, is that they make you come forward. It's not like you could hire somebody right away is that every year you have a year and hopefully things will cool down. And you wouldn't because I know that you could be a target for all kinds of people asking for all kinds of money, And I don't want that. Here's the thing about that. I heard I've heard this argument. Well, people gonna bother you. You don't have to answer their calls. You don't have to answer their letters. And you can ignore them completely. I remember years ago, though, talking to they were one of the big lottery winners. I think his name was Leslie and they went up in the Fox Valley area and I met him and I asked him about it. And it was only like 50 million or something like that. Listen to me. Um, and he's but he said that he goes. It's non stop. It's non change Your full number. Well, okay. Don't get mad at me. I'm just trying to get that You've got $50 million. Change your phone number or just get rid of it all together. Don't have a phone. You don't eat while you're not going anywhere. I really think that I would go away some place for a little while. I was what I would do, I would do the Internet or the world Cruise. Like nine months long. I would do that once we got back out of the Klonopin, and once we get out of the pandemic, I would definitely be traveling. There's no doubt about it. I might even buy a seat on that space shuttle and head up into space and go around the Ark. See the earth from way up there. I said this last week about this because it was 500 some million. I said I would still do the show. And then everyone, so I'd give out like money for some somebody would pitch me on clever ideas. I say. All right, here's a million for you. Okay. I like Clooney did with 13 of his friends each give each of them a million bucks. I wish I was George Clooney's friends. Really two. How about that? How about that? That would be nice, wouldn't it? I said, curious. And I was, I guess their his lifelong friends, buddies from high school and stuff, I would I want to share it with everybody. That's in my life because of the fact that I've been so fortunate to have one stuff like that. Fortunate or not. I've seen the shows The lottery ruined my life. But that's only time you hear about these people, right? I don't care about at least 100 grand for Jordan. He's in day 100 grand shutters of you A 500 Million. So I said more. I thought that was generous. He's knuckleheads. The blow it all right. We will wrap it. Hand it off to Scott Waris was filling in for Jeff Wagner. That's coming up next right here, Wtmj. "Do you think? You're welcome. Um, yeah, I'm a business owner Out in Aurora I host hot yoga class is a lot of sweating a lot of deep breathing. Currently shutdown. However, my members want to get back into the hot roommate Stab and no, I would not require Either I employees or my community to get vaccinated to teach or practice at my studio. Tell me something. Why you have come to that decision. Because I feel I'm arrested Torrey therapist and I don't have my studies done. But I feel that the yoga and this method of yoga, the beak from yoga has Catapulted our immunity so high that were resistant to a lot of infectious diseases because our systems are running so efficiently because of our regular consistent practice of hot yoga. I feel that No, Carol, I will tell you that after doing hot yoga, I couldn't agree with you more because it is like you have been absolutely cleansed when you're done. Yeah? Yeah, And I feel that it's a personal choice to get vaccinated. And although this is a pandemic, I repeat, I respect the fact of The severity of it, But I feel that I don't want my yoga sanctuary to become a place of political unrest. And I want to keep you know, politics and religion and all of the other stuff out of my studio and keep it a safe welcoming environment for all And they should have that free. Well, what do you say to the folks that are viewed and again? This is part of the political conversation that if we don't get get people vaccinated if we don't protect the majority of the least 67% of population. All of these restrictions are just going to continue on ad nauseam because we're not getting a handle on the comic over 19 pandemic. I mean, it's a business owner. You gotta be thinking about that as well. Absolutely. That's the big fear of mine. But as the big business owner, I take a risk and the risk is do we want health and sanity in the community? And that's what I That's what I am spreading through my yoga practice and teaching, and I feel that if people can get off the couch and get back to a normal life and start participating in these healthier lifestyles, people will be a lot healthier and we won't have these unfortunate. Think that come up in our society that bring us down such as a pandemic and all the politics and unrest that has gone well on with it. They've shut down these Thank you, Aires and people are suffering severely. And you're gonna wait and see the amount of mental, um, undressed. Actually, it's certainly a big concern. Carol. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate thanks for listening as well. Long distance listener calling from Aurora and I love that She speaks for a lot of people. Yes, she does. That's why this vaccine thing is not gonna be easy. And anybody who thinks we're gonna get 67% people sign up for this thing is actually crazy. That's that's my feet. I'm a big fan of vaccinations and immunization program because I think they're very effective. They control disease and viruses. But if we don't do that, we're gonna be talking and let's be honest. It's Wisconsin arguing about these things. Not for months, but more than a year from now. That's not good enough for me. Well and you know No, It's not good enough for me, either, because I earlier in the show. I told you that I think we're gonna be shut down through the rest of the summer, and it's going to be it's going to be awful. But It's Z. If they can come out definitively and say, Like, See, I wish the guy when he got I got my flu shot would have told me you're always gonna hurt for, like, three days. You know, I feel disclosure. Yeah, I want full disclosure completely. And you were just talking about getting an immunization and, yeah, So I mean, you got to be able to come out and say, Okay, you're gonna feel nauseous. You're going to feel this. You're going to feel that, but at the end, it's 95% effective and you're gonna be you're gonna be protected. The reason I bring this up is I want people to get ready because it was about mass before. Whether to wear one wasn't not where one it's going to be about vaccines, their common folks, and it's gonna be as soon as a week or two. When we start rolling these things out, and I think the only way you get past the initial reluctance besides full disclosure, and what's in a vaccine with the side effects are Is to be really honest with your employees and employers to say this is what we have to do. If you wanna get back to normal. Are you willing to do it? That's a tough pickle. I gotta be real honest with you, because if I worked for I would acquiesce because I I don't want to be unemployed. So I would say, sure, I'll take the shot. I had to take the flu shot and it was just do you want to work here? Then you gotta take the flu shot, and I think ultimately that's what's going to drive. A lot of this. Your employer says we pay your health insurance. We need you to be healthy. We need you to be protected, not just for you, but for all the other co workers. We're gonna require that vaccine then. Ultimately it's your decision on whether or not you want to work there. I got a lot of Texas freedom after the break, Stephen Caroline, this Monday edition. "Into the anger thing. Well, that's kind of Milwaukee radio for the last 20 years, anger yelling about stuff shouting, That's Milwaukee radio. Whether you like that or not. I guess that's a bigger question. I don't particularly like I think it's kind of a waste of time. But apparently some people do. And they've thrived on that anger. But at this point in this race, so one of the election over too What do you tell folks? If you're one of these either relationship with somebody who's not accepting or family relationship? What do you telling these folks? And and how to accept or deal with this. It's not easy. I have had this conversation with many people. Ah, I usually start the conversation with Don't talk politics. I don't want to talk politics or things start to get a little heated. It's like okay, let's slow down. Everybody. Just relax. I and we'll move on to something else. Just because I just think it's It's one unwarranted and two. It's just once the point. We're just going to sit here and argue with one another. For the sake of argument. The textures raise this question. Don't forget about the three years of trying to get him out of office because he never accept him. His president. People always forget about that stuff. That's probably why he's angry. I'm not doubting the president's angry, shout it out and some of the some of the stuff he's probably legitimately angry because the way he was treated that look I'm not denying there's there's a liberal bent to national media. It's pretty clear. I mean, Here's a here's a reality check for Democrats. Three commentators on CNN now working to buy New Bite administration, Okay Simone Sanders, then Jennifer Psaki and then one other, Um, I can't leave her name. They're all working. They just came off CNN talking about the election, and now they work for the Biden campaign. So there's some Self examination, and that has to happen when you're looking at elections. Bottom line for me is A lot of people turned out for the president. More people turned out for vice president now President elect Joe Biden. Let's get out of with it doesn't mean that I said this last week, all the voters that was cut the head off. They didn't like Trump. They voted for Republicans all over the place shooting in Wisconsin, right and nationally, they picked up seats in the house. They're hoping to hang on to the Senate, because I think like a lot of people divided government, probably a good thing right now. CNN, Wisconsin. We can argue that's actually working to our advantage or not. That's a whole separate conversation. But at this point accepting the results matters. I got a lot of texts on this will take a break. Come back dead from West bends on the text line, Danny from Racine, We'll get to all of those and more. Stephen Carol. Change that dial more. But it's kind of determining like the language that we use across the country. It's different. Every place has got to go through a couple of these. Okay to use the term dinner or supper. Those have meaning to you, like some people think like dinners. Later, some people who called their dinner supper some people think Supper's lunch. And she said pocketbook instead of purse, and she never used the words genes that was always dungarees. Here's one that I'm not a big fan of of sales like this, But what would you call it? Self unwanted items on your porter in your yard tag, sale yard sale, garage sale, Rummage sale. Thrift stoop sale, carport sales sidewalks, damage. That's that's a classic. That's what that's what I call it. Everybody calls now in England. They called a car boots. Okay, Yeah. Because, you know I didn't back in your car. But most of the time, Anything I put out in the front of my lawn is just nothing but junk. Any house which hides stalling, Roman steals. I don't want to do the work required to put it all together.
