"The statement that was issued by his lawyer yesterday makes it clear that the Panthers are going to be invited to the pending lawsuit that has 5 or 6 teams already joined in it with Brian Flores Steve Wilkes and ray Horton, alleging racial discrimination. But the element here will be that Steve Wilkes wasn't hired in whole or in part because of the fact that he joined arm in arm with Brian Flores to stand up to the shield to say you have employment practices that are wrong. And it's amazing how many people don't realize it's illegal to hold that against someone. That's protected activity under the law. You have the right to address grievances against your employer in court. And they can't hold it against you. They can't not choose you for the head coaching job for any reason tied to that. And when you look at right, you look at Wilkes you look at what works did. The Panthers had better be able to explain persuasively why they chose not to continue with Wilkes. And here's how Wright's daughter factors into it because it's not about nepotism, nepotism is rife in the NFL. But she announced she was working for the Panthers about 90 minutes after the final game of the regular season on a Sunday. I guarantee you that if and when the Panthers are joined to this lawsuit, still Steve Wilkes lawyers will delve into every nook and cranny emails, text messages, aggressive deposition questioning. When did you know did you know did you know when she went to work that Frank Reich was already targeted because that goes to the whole idea of the sham interview? The owners know before they even start the process who they're going to hire and all of the interviews, including the Rooney rule interviews are just check the box to comply with league policy. I know that sometimes we don't let facts get in the way with like Nathaniel Hackett getting the job as offensive coordinator with the jets, which obviously means that Aaron Rodgers will then go to the jets, right, Mike. Anything to this. Well, Dan, I firmly believe last year that the Broncos when they hired Nathaniel Hackett to be the head coach, thought they had a very good shot at Aaron Rodgers. And I don't think it was a coincidence that just within an hour or two after Rogers announced he was staying with the packers for 2022. The Broncos had a deal in place for Russell Wilson. I think Rogers was plan a and Wilson was plan B so the Jets have come out and said they're looking for a veteran quarterback, Aaron Rodgers potentially is available. It's not something you just snap your fingers and do. You've got a huge cap number that's got to be dealt with the packers are going to want something in trade. First Rogers has to decide he even wants to play. But obviously the presence of Nathaniel Hackett would make the jets more desirable than they would be if he wasn't there. But there's a lot of decisions Rogers has to make before he even gets to the point where he's assessing where he would play next year if he plays for different teams. I just assumed last year he got to the brink and decided I'm just staying in Green Bay. And I don't know why he wouldn't just decide to stay in Green Bay this year. He's going to make nearly 60 million fully guaranteed. If he says to the packers, I'm here. I'm staying deal with me. Tom Brady was testy with Jim gray, but I kind of viewed that maybe different than most people. I thought it's I'm going to come out and be angry at my friend Jim gray just to let people know that I haven't spoken to any other team right now. Exactly. Right.

Now there's a lot that has to happen. But I think it's more likely that he plays than doesn't. He doesn't sound like you guys wants to retire. And I think it's more likely he goes to the Raiders. He's going to look at them and see Josh McDaniels, they've got Chandler Jones and max Crosby off the edge, devonta Adams. He loves guys like hunter renfrow. We know that Darren Waller at tight end, you know, they try to make this happen a couple of years ago. Evidently, Dana White was trying to broker the deal with marketing. I don't know how that happened or how that works, but I just think Brady would love to be in Vegas. He'd love to be with McDaniels. I think Mark Davis would love to have him. I think McDaniels would love to have him 'cause then it's year two, McDaniels needs to win Brady always wins. I think there's not a 100% or even 75%, but he's a decent percentage chance that it happens. Because you're looking at rating and you say, all right, you want to play, you want to play for a championship again. What place that's going to be open gives you the best chance to win a championship. I got Josh Jacobs, who was unbelievable this year. I got Adams. I got, as you mentioned, Crosby, Chandler Jones. The one thing that appears to be missing is consistent play at the quarterbacking position. Not that I know that Tom can, but he's single put him in Vegas. It's go time. Honestly, I would not be surprised at all. I think there's a decent chance that happens and the way Brady played yesterday. I hope he keeps playing a couple more years if he can keep playing like that. Unfortunately, he hasn't played like that very much this year. Well, it helps that Mike Evans, it felt like was open every single time that Tom through the ball. What was that? I don't know. What was that? I mean, we've been talking for weeks about how Steve Wilkes has done such a great job as the Panthers interim coach and he might get the head job. How you let Mike Evans get behind the entire defense, not once, not twice, but three times. They were up 14 nothing. They were up 21 ten in the fourth quarter and they let it happen two more times. So since Flores filed it, we've had Tampa Bay bucks hired Todd Bowles who's black, dolphins to replace Brian Flores, hired Mike McDaniels, whose biracial Houston Texans hired levy Smith who's black and the Carolina Panthers put Steve Wilkes, who's also in this lawsuit, made him their interim head coach. So that's four hires since this lawsuit. So arguably that's because of the public pressure that this lawsuit brought because it was a very high profile case and teams had to answer for why aren't you hiring black coaches. So Brett, I just run into you on the street and I say, hey, the boomer 50s out, what's the most interesting thing about it? Like, how would you sum up this year's list? Wow, so I would say the most interesting thing to me is that the far reaching effects of the war in Ukraine. So we have Vladimir zelensky on the list, obviously. Is the president of Ukraine? Correct. But then you start to think about people like dalip Singh, who are also really on the list because of the war in Ukraine. And then we have people like Robert habeck, who is the economic minister of Germany and had to spend much of this time figuring out where else they were going to get energy from. So every year there are stories that pop up that do have these sort of far reaching impacts on the list, but none I don't think in the 6 years we've been doing this has had more than Ukraine. I know we're going to be, I don't see any of these teams losing one of them is absolutely going to lose, but whatever. I love it. We're going with those favorites. Once at 14 parlay? Yeah, 14 parlay. What are the odds on 40 or four way points? There's such big favorites though that's even odds. Jeez. All right, yeah. 14 parlay is a lot to ask for, but we'll take it. The last one, this is the most depressing line out there. The Broncos are minus one 30. For the money line on the road against Sam darnold and the Panthers. Right. You want to give fire your coach early, you want to give them enough time to find a new job. So they normally have offset language in the contract where it's like, all right, so if you find another job, we only have to make up the difference. So I guess that's why they got rid of them early and put Steve Wilkes in this terrible situation, but I think Steve Wilkes is doing a good job. Yeah. Team seems to like playing for him. Yeah, I think he's gonna be, he's gonna come out of this with a better opportunity at a job because his last job, he got one year. Next thing that's very important to me is that we build a smart football team. We have a smart football team here, and I know we have the people in place to do that. The first part of that The first part of being smart is knowing what to do. We're going to. We're going to know what you're gonna do Systems in place that Are easier to learn. All right, complicated to the defense or offense that they're going against the special teams group. They're going up but easy for us to learn because when we can put that because we when we can learn our system and we can get good at our system, then our talent can take over less thinking equals talent take over, But we need to have systems in place and we will have systems in place.
