I don't think the actors and actresses could've changed any of that moving forward, guys when we're you know, making fun of a character. Everything that goes into the character, not just the acting, but how it's written. And then everything else. This movie stars Gail got it as Diana Prince Ak Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. Kristen wig is Barbara Minerva AK that she too things with that name number one. It sounds like normal from Garfield, which made me laugh and then also she played a character on the flight of the Conchords where they couldn't figure out if her name was Barbara or bra, brah. And it turned out that her name was bra bra bra bra your age. We are language. By the way, also got Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord and a really confusing performance. We'll get to that in a second on Ben. In the beginning, we have essentially cameos from Robin Wright as anti Ope and as I said, G A P on Connie Nielsen is Hippolyta and Young Bashar does played by Hipolito Pichardo Little Picture Young Diana was played by Lily Aspell. That first opening scene, which was 11 minutes long are you here is a perfect tease for what's to come because you're like they're not really doing much here. I got like 15 responses, not a single thumbs up, not one. Not one. And so I think this is playing into people had rather high expectations for the movie. But if that's the case, I totally understand the hate for this is my first movie. Didn't have that expectation time where I said to myself, I wasted 2.5 hours. I generally don't say that. I'll be like okay, well, I got something from it. There is nothing in this movie that I want to re watch or even has seen that I want to re watch what you're saying right now is the way I felt about Aquaman, and I think that's 100% permission to come aboard right now. But if that's what it looked like, but if you liked What's his face? Mama Mama, Mama is Aquaman. You might like that movie and to me I love Delgado as wonder Woman and the first so There were parts of this movie that I enjoyed watching her slipping around with lasso gliding on air. We didn't get enough of that. We got actually almost none of it for a good portion of the film and then I also think the special effects and see GI this movie with some of the worst we've seen in a while. It's very off very off, Putting two and Dan seven makes a good point here an hour and a half into the movie and the on Lee Wonder Woman stuff that we had was the scene in the mall. And that wonder woman Seeing them all was Hi the dumb but super campy. So if you're going to go that route, you gotta stick to that route. So also commanded. So she winks at that little girl she went with wrong. I So she looked at her, right. So, like right here, this I is facing you. You wink with this eye, she went with this. I don't even know if she could only wait for the right eye. Maybe she can't wait with her left eye. We don't know if she has that ability. She's a wonder woman. She can wink with either eyes. She just chose the wrong guy. Good going back to the first movie, which was set during World War one. World world. One was so hot then it was easy to do like the fish out of water thing right? Because it's World War one. You've got a ah woman that has never even experienced the rest. Nothing. She's experienced any of the world. But in this movie Steve Trevor, at least has some kind of a background knowledge to what the world is. And now it's just like an updated of him walking around going. Wow. Wow. They should have recast it. Owen Wilson to play him. Well, yeah, I mean, we jump pretty much 70 years here. A lot has changed. There's fish out of water capabilities there, but we don't. We don't need a ton of it, and they were I just didn't enjoy that part of it, and I also didn't think they had great chemistry didn't like when he tried to get him personally. He tried on office. Oh, Fanny packs cool, 1984 cool, And now that we've jumped 70 years, this goes back into a Patty Jenkins said. I remember if it was this year last year whenever, but when talking about the Wonder Woman story arc in the character, she said that the story had been mapped out. Play out over three films with the third and final Wonder Woman film playing out in present day, and so clearly there's gonna be another jump for the next one. But with that in mind, like Everything that happens in this movie wonder Woman ability wise and on the planet. Makes the other movies. She's been in a lot worse, right. It's sort of last get eye level and Aquaman level. Where now that she's displayed something in this movie, Thea other movies don't make sense in the other movies outside of her first movie, You mean like Justice League and Batman for Superman, because Will spoil things later on, But she has something in and I think someone might say Well, that came out now They're kind of doing one officer stand the other thing, which I would say Yeah, you're right until the fact that we're getting a brand new justice Lee, So that's not true anymore. So they're still trying to build this DC universe, But they're all over the place because they have 17 different visions of what each character's supposed to be. So her parents and Batman or Superman is now significantly worse because she could fly. Right? She could fly. That is a spoiler, Mac know how dare you?.

"And morning host from Caleb Day, Williams began by taking a look at the much anticipated wonder Woman, 1984. Welcome to the future. Life is good, but it can be better. Why shouldn't you be all you need to watch? Okay, So I guess this is something of a Campy look at the eighties as well as a wonder woman flick. Right, And that's what's really fun about the movie. The fact that it sends up the 19 eighties as a period of Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, You know, uh, sort of Wall Street returned with with Michael Douglas, that part of the movies, a lot of fun, the production design, the fashions and the like, What isn't so much fun is the story. Uh, this is a typical comic book story about villain who wants to in effect take over the world on he's using as his device. A wishing stone, uh, a magical device that gives him the power to give the dreams of everyone else. To bring them to fruition so long as he takes from them, whatever he wants, And one of the things that happens is that wonder woman wishes for the return of her, Uh, late, uh, lover Steve Trevor, who is actually killed off in the first movie played by Chris Klein, and she gets him back, actually, but she loses some of her power in the process. Toe a mousey girl played by Kristen wig. Who wants to be assertive and decisive. The way Diana Prince is, It's a very convoluted in silly plot. The nice part of the movie is, I say, is the refashioning of the 19 eighties. That's satire. That's actually pretty well done, and Salgado and Chris Pine once again work very well together. The bad part of the movie is the entire villainous plot, which in the last half hour 45 minutes turn something into an absolute mess. I found this to be inferior to the first wonder woman film as a result of that, but nonetheless. We've had a long drought of superhero movies, and people are really anxious for them on, so I expect this will do well. And it's also the first real test of Warner Brothers decision to release big movies to theaters and HBO, Max at the same time, so you can see this film streaming as well as go up to a theater to see it. Whether that system is gonna work for Warner Brothers, we have to wait and see. That's wonder Woman 1984 next up. Pixar's latest animal made it film Seoul. This is interesting for a cartoon because it doesn't sound like it's Ah, you know, kids show, but it's a a guy that person that meets their untimely demise and finds himself In the after life as a mentor to new souls happens..

And then I have to take a shower and everything, you know, so I'm like, Oh, man. And I was just looking at him going. What do you do in this right now? For? He just couldn't help himself. Maybe don't know about how you can go forward and backwards in time at the same time I don't know either I was a little confused by that but you'll be glued to the visual miracles that are on screen here every cent of tenants two, hundred, million dollars production budget shows up onscreen Eisele popped. Jaw dropped pulses. Oh, pound all that good stuff movies and back baby. So what else do we have? We have Moulin which is out there right now and you'll check in Disney plus to watch this because it's not in theaters but you can rent it and you could see live action film of the Disney animated hit about a young woman who disguises. Herself as a man to replace her sick father in the Imperial Army the new moon is not musical and there's no comic relief from eating Murphy as the Voice of a fast talking dragon named Moo Shu. This is not that kind of movie. There's no whitewashing but using Western actors in the drawn from Chinese legend and as Rouland the astounding Lou ye. Leads in Asian cast that includes martial arts icon jet. Li is the emperor up and China's leading actress Gong Li as shape shifting witch who teaches on how to survive and prosper in a man's world. Look move on is not your typical princess. She's a warrior fighting for her place in the world prepare to be well. Next up wonder woman one, thousand, nine, hundred, eighty, four, the sequel to the two thousand seventeen smash that made a star of Gal. Gadot, remember her places the DC comics immortal wonder woman into the cold.
