"The Senate president Steve Sweeney coming for your Vegas Elvis to get even more interesting because we hear that there's something coming out later on this afternoon soon actually from governor mercy we have no idea if the same thing if it's a separate issue but it's supposed to be still regarding vapes and E. cigarettes but the Senate president announced this week that he wants to phase in a complete and total ban on all electronic smoking products every thing this is not just about kids it's not just the flavored vapes there's already surely Turner bill for that he wants the Senate president wants to get rid of all of it. I mean there are there are people who invested everything they had to open up these vape shops. they're they're just gonna be completely **** if this would go through and anyway there's a poll question attached with this no it's only been up for a couple of hours but right now eighty one percent are saying no this is not a good idea. I agree with that I agree that it's not a good idea because I think they have to get a handle on what is going on but they are you know I am reading these creepy things and we'll get into it later on but about how. there's something that they've just never seen before doctors are seeing hundreds of people that have big gotten sick from what they regarding as a new type of long illness here that they can't even figure out yet and the CDC is strongly advising everybody to just stop using Vicks just stop using them. no it's a little amazing to me because of those people who have this mystery lung ailment. six are confirmed dead and they believe it's directly from whatever the hell happened to their lawns yes and they believe it's from vape. but yet the legal products is tobacco cigarettes is still out there every single day on store shelves and we know without any doubt four hundred and eighty thousand people a year die from that right so it just seems like we are truly jumping the gun here until we really find out why it's happening I mean how do we know it wasn't something got defective about. you know the the machine itself yes I know some of the vapor shop owners are saying that it was like a black market FAPE that we're hurting people not the and that could be too right that's in some of the articles as well because they're saying especially if you bought them on the street so anyway if you were to take part in that poll please do also on the website and I hate these because I always look my town up and never in it but if you yeah you know I'm sorry but it's yours bill got a thing about the richest New Jersey zip codes. I know I'm gonna walk. I've been resisting looking as I'm never in about it but I am gonna be curious others that and also there's a really really cool video of a woman from New Jersey who was on safari in East Africa and it wasn't her jeep but the jeep right in front of hers a cita jumps up onto this open top jeep it could be just like reached in and like tore somebody's out off of the wanted to. open top jeep drive through safari alike no windows like like there's a little perch above it for the sun but yeah like it could be just a gotten them is that kind of a design flaw for. for a vehicle going through a wild animal habitats. but people want to get pictures and people want to get pictures you can picture the other person like that lady did and you don't I wonder about that too. you would assume that your tour guide out in the serin getting that's where they were right you would assume that he's probably got some sort of weapon you have to I was all kinds of crazy creatures other this wildebeest there's everything right you assume that but when the woman taking this video whispers to her tour guide you know Hey what do we do if it comes on the RG his answer it wasn't don't worry I'm armed so it wasn't that it was stay very still. that's all you've got. basically if it wants to kill us it's going to kill a cheetah maze right you would think there be something really cool video though so that and more in the D. the page and J. one a one five dot com computers can do the. those earning without is about as touch bad today he's just going to re enact the remote. all right I saw this incredibly cool article this is cool to me anyway because I learned some things I never knew it was written by a Stephen L. Carter. in interfered in Bloomberg news. and it's called America's long history of resisting the self service now don't tune out we're talking about gasoline this does not have to be about gasoline this guy wrote this entire article he mentions gasoline but not New Jersey mentions Oregon but he gets in the all forms of self service and how historically he goes through the history of this and how almost always at every step of the way there was pushed back against. different forms of self certain they you know he gets into how Oregon was largely banning self serve for the longest time talks about how and this is something he never thought about. talks about how butcher shops way back in the day we're very worried when big grocery stores started having meat that was already caught wrapped in plastic the same way most of us by our media is right pre cut pre wrapped the consumers would come pick out what they want to make their choice and he writes here in nineteen forty nine after self service meat counters became a big hit in the Chicago suburbs unionize meat cutters organized against a proposal to allow them within the city limits there's like a big push back against that another thing he talks about and this is also and I never knew this pharmacies you used to have to stand in line at a pharmacy for much of the same stuff that is just now over the counter even vitamins he mentions. so this isn't even from a doctor this is just like an over the counter cold medicine and some vitamins for your kids and they wouldn't trust you to just pick that up off of a store shelf you had to stand there and you had to wait and once they finally made that change it was considered a form of self serve I wonder if that's where the phrase over the counter comes from he did need prescription they would just handed over the counter because I only..

"You know, George Carlin, but I got to be around him. Oh, yeah. How was that for you? One of the most brilliant minds of a met my life. We wouldn't Portland mass. Yeah. Main, excuse me. We would driving back and we named all constellations. I say, look what mind you know, he was like taking real anal dude. Like he all the jokes note cards. It was no riffing. You know his all his office, would he'd have all his albums stacked up and books. I didn't you know, he was just very nice to me. He was good. I saw his later specials. And I saw him on Bill Maher. Yeah. Seem like a different guy to me. Yeah. I mean, well, the when that I think that when guys start to really especially guys who were prolific and guys who were you know, fighting the power punching up. You know, I it starts to get dark. You know what I mean? I think I don't think anything happened to Carl another, then he he got old, and he got more cynical. And you know, make sense. How else was he gonna go? I. Yeah. That's a good point. In other words, you've been doing it your whole life, and you still talking about the same stuff. Yeah. And, and it gets end and certain things aren't resolved. And certain things are getting worse for a guy like him pointing out the hypocrisies. You know, you're gonna get overwhelmed eventually and just be like fuck it all. Yeah. Fuck it. Yeah. But what I liked about. George was t took shots at both sides. Yeah. Anyone after political correctness which I've surest tastic, you know, sure you gotta get the balance gotta figure out the balance is creative. Power, man. That goes through all of us, you can't try to tame it and say, you can say this, you can't say that. Well, it's all up to you. I mean, there's no law that says you can't you just gotta make sure where you got figure out where it's coming from, and whether or not, you know, you're okay with that three do. But do you feel I don't feel I'm in control of that when I'm really in touch with something things commodity like in one? Like in one two minute, like like I used to be ver-, and all this bullshit, hair and, and all came in one what beaver oh I had this bit. But leave it to be. But came like an flat. Yeah. You know. Right. So that creative energy, you have to turn off me anyway. Yeah. It's turn off the editor. Yeah. You know, especially when you're onstage I've had stuff, get away from me that I do regret. Yeah. You know, when I said, certain things, yes stage, but, you know, you look like Michael Richard is that who played my riches? Yeah. So he leaves a sitcom. Then he goes on state. Yeah. And he doesn't realize it's like a war out this sometimes somebody heckled him. He just says, whatever comes up now he's, you know, life Freia life sentence. Yeah. I mean I, I don't know. Like, you know, it wasn't that he was on a sitcom, but it wasn't like he was he was coming back to the stand up stage. I don't know that he's ever really. His racket really, you know and it got away from him. Yes. Sure brilliant, physical act, funniest help, but I mean, I think that, that I don't think that there are those moments that, you know, you make mistakes. But I think it's the committing to the mistake and then defending it like I think it's more about like, you know, is this? Am I correct? And where it's coming from in my heart, like do I feel alright with that. And if you can answer that with a yes, then you shouldn't have any problems defending yourself. But if it's dubious, you should figure out why for yourself and then decide whether it's worth it. Wow. That's pretty good. Well, you know what I mean? Yeah. I mean it's like you is it that, don't you write that down those pretty good. Well, you know, I think about all the time, because there are fights to be thought..

"They bring me a note figures somebody's caused being towed somebody hot. It's trigger Burke. Had sent me this note. Toaster ovens, twenty bucks, was selling hot fricken ovens in the parking lot. So I grew up with this one guy. And he I was like selling. I wasn't. So I was like in these cars, and we ended up in this sort of odd robbery, blah, blah, blah. But anyway, he for that part of big leap, that, that part of it's not just, oh, this part of it is, so he I do Knicks. And I look out in the audience, and this guy from Charlestown, Joe Jill Rocco going to use his name because he's no longer with us. And I killed four hundred people's practically standing obey. And so I see him after as he comes up to me, and I said. I was going to say Jesus great. You gotta child. Yeah. All right. Like the show. I didn't like the ship something to do with the event. Right. So this exactly what he said to me, Mark, and he had that, look, as ISIS, it's gonna be a lot of money in here. I said you came here, so that I could case the joint from the fricken stage Jesus Christ. But this is the comedy just, you know, I guess the word is organic, because get all these guys in the street corner. You know, they, they funny, why don't we try this? But when I started there was no comedy clubs. But, like wait. Let me open it. You know. BB king. All right. Sugar shack that time bike in Charlestown. Like how many kids in your family? What was I'm the youngest of five a five, and that's it's not Southie. It's Charlestown, better fucking believe, don't ever make that mistake. Says the north end and this Charleston global. Global them. Like like you're a little me like what was like, what was the neighborhood, like? I mean it was unbelievable. But it away but it's normal I thought it was unbelievable in a great way. But, but I, but there was a mix of people that things were normal in my one man show, which I called townie, I talk about these events that happen to me in my life that will like and people, you know, the Phnom sample. So I went to see a psychiatrist because I get drafted thing. And I said. Okay. So, you know, like when you see someone gets shot. Yeah. And they fall down in the blood's coming out. You know how like when you have an on bribery, and everybody leaves though, one says, and the psychiatrist said to me. No. That's totally outside my experience. I do you think everybody that I said, isn't that normal? So it was this wonderful mix everybody knew each other was like Charleston was all Irish. The not was all talian. And I will never forget this one of the most important things in Charleston. You didn't have to win, but you had a fight. You didn't have to win. But yet a fight another individual fights. And I'm never forget Davey Ladda on the projects. He broke one of the rule these fistfights he kicked me in the ball and it was like, oh. You know it was like poverty yet. Sure. So then everybody jumped in, they got him. So those are the individual fights, but then town fights the Irish guys against the tide. So we will lined up on the bridge. So you'd be lined up against one guy, but I feel like you like movies, I sure I felt like I was watching a movie because it being Irish we don't have any feelings, everything suppressed, even the way we dance, like everything stiff, and this guy's across man going and is like an operation. I'm gonna take you a fucking. I'm going to Ted that off. You're going to have to fuck and swallowed that then I'm going to take you fucking and so I'm an actor. So when you're an actor there's always, you, then you watching you and then you watching the scene said, this is great. This guy's amazing. I forget, I'm supposed to be fighting here. So it was all it was, you know, homogeneous, yet, the word did you grow up in a mix neighborhood. Not really. I mean, where I grew. In New Mexico, Albuquerque was about when I was growing up about sixty or seventy percent Latino but it we don't know..

"It's available on itunes and Amazon. When? Starting out in Boston. This guy was the king. He was one of the king's there was like three or four kings. And, and Steve was one of them. So it was kind of interesting. I don't think I've really talked to him probably ever, but I talked maybe I talked to him a few times back when I was a kid. Just a sprouting comic back at Nick's comedy. Stop in Baston, but I certainly haven't talked to him as an adult, and it was very interesting for me. So I a trip back to a younger me. So let me explain. What's going on here last time I talked to you. I was in Saint Louis and then on Sunday morning, I packed up my bags at five in the morning, and went to the to the Saint Louis airport, and I flew to Toronto Canada Toronto Ontario. And now I got here on Sunday afternoon. Check into hotel and went to a fitting for movie. I got off the plane Sunday. I tried on a bunch of clothes from the. One thousand nine hundred seventies. Selected a few, and then I went and tried on a wig. And then that night I went and relaxed and I looked at my work for the next day. I'm shooting this, this David Bowie film with the Johnny Flynn and it's interesting about about this movie has been out in the press a bit. And people's immediate response was, I no, no. Don't moon Bowie nine you can't. You know, look, I I'm a pretty big fucking David Bowie fan and I read the script and I found it to be a quite interesting. It's a very intimate movie. It's very specific movie about a very specific time in Bowie's wife, it takes. It's not some arcane a bio pic, with a big scope a really kind of takes place over a three week period of time on a Bowie's trip to America, nineteen seventy-one. I play a music label mercury publicist name Ron Obermann, who I don't really, really. No anything about. He's still around. But apparently he's not really a functioning that well, so I couldn't do that much research. But, but I see I see the lines and and I get it. And I'm just doing the work man. Now I'm in it. It's third day shooting were shooting. Twelve hour days up here, but it's really the difference in shooting things. And I know this kind of a new world for me, but when you're not when you're shooting, a shooting can take a long time. But these all these scenes are very they're intimate. And there's only a couple of people involved, so far, the, the crew is, is pretty small they're only seems to be one camera. The director shoots very quickly, the cinematographer the DP, he's eighty years old and his name's Nick Noland. And apparently, he's been he's been shooting stuff forever. And he actually shot John and Yoko in bed in a short documentary. And he shot some Marc bolan footage back in the early seventies. And. I think this, I think my director Gabriel range works with this guy lot or as worked with him before. But the idea that this guy shot, these guys at that time. It's pretty trippy man. And the fact that the dude is still working. I mean, sh weapon cameras around getting on the crane getting into the little the camera seat at eighty and just like, you know killing it. Which is a word. I don't use that much is pretty astounding. I wish I had time to talk to him, but this is going to be cram, man. So the response to the eve, who are episode has been kind of overwhelming, and I'm getting a lot of feedback about the impact that episode had on people's wives both men and women, and it's a it's, it's, it's heavy man. And, and I'm I'm happy that, that happened. Thank you for the feedback. And I'm I was happy to provide that service. Really? Which was to have that conversation with events where and to share with you guys. So I've got Steve Sweeney coming up here in a few minutes. And if you tell a guy from Boston that he needs to have more energy, he might punch you in the face. There's your energy epistle now go, screw not great accent. So I'm not gonna say that to Steve..

But hey, what do what are we doing about before going to legalize the bedding? And everything that you've done that. You really really were spearheading went with the legalization of marijuana. Why can't I cannot embrace this as a dad of five kids a Senator it's just hard for me to embrace it in New Jersey. How's it looking? Do. You think it will pass today? It looks like it is not going to pass. Governor Murphy has been really twisting arms, which is what governor center when they want to pass something. No, I was very very elected myself. You know, I started a company scoring unique alley right? Raymond, j Lesniak exerting. Well known. Yeah. For for children who have substance use problems, and it's doing well and Bill concerned about about it for me. I have a little more of a open mind because I figured it's it's going to happen everywhere. But it needs to be tightly regulated. That's for sure. So anyway will create the revenue when I'm afraid about like when I was just say this ad nauseam on the radio is that when you create and you toll booths for the Parkway and create toll booths for the turnpike that was supposed to pay for the construction of the roads it never does. It just pays for the bureaucracy. That is my fear with the legalization of marijuana roles. And you're gonna have become what do you think? Well, first of all you're right about that. And and Senate president Steve Sweeney has taken this. I, you know, I know New Jersey is very unaffordable to live in property taxes are through the roof, and he actually has a program to tackle governmental spending. So if you if you do that end of it, you can do well, but we haven't done that for for decades if at all, but that's a key component of making New Jersey, affordable, which has to happen. Yes. Steve sweeney's. Great, man. Hey, eight between us know was do you think that Steve Sweeney Willie primary? Governor Murphy, do you think? You hear you? You ran for governor governor. And by the way, Phil Murphy, great guy. He's a great guy. But but boy, Steve's president Sweeney's not happy in the Senate. And I wonder if he would go after them and not go after which is challenging in a primary. Are you hearing that down at Trenton? Wearing a lot of things. But again, I can't hear.

And then this one governor Cuomo on the legalization of marijuana nobody under twenty one years old, it generates approximately three hundred million dollars in tax revenue but away from the schools do a partnership with Zini. It sounds like the godfather speech. But when they all got around the table, what is that? And then Phil Murphy to coming at you. Phil murphy. With the legalization of marijuana fifteen dollars. Minimum wage. Sure, we had a governor. Phil Murphy coming at you. We understand the governor public. Thing. And I heard assemblyman John Brown. Nick talk about Robert author's coming on the show, Steve outta bottles. Coming up momentarily. It's like what can we talk about property tax? Steve a bottle lives in town where the highest property taxes the whole country and yet yet not one word about property tax about capping it about creating revenue about cutting spending. Don't get me started. Then then this is and I don't want to get too inside. Because they know people listen all around the country. Appreciate and I know you listening in Israel, and I know Australia. We get we get the Norway. Yes. Yes. All around. They pick up. They like the I think they love a touch in New York and they listened to Joe Franken Allen Debbie on the radio around there. But we are live, and we are local in New York, New York, right? So certainly jersey there is a spectacular picture, which I probably from the star ledger or nj dot com. It's got the Senate president Steve Sweeney who is behind governor Murphy when governor Murphy. The governor of New Jersey gave his state of the state address yesterday. Tabet conklin our social media genius. The did you see the shot, man? Not surprising. And I have to tell you at Phil Murphy, by the way, and I heard assemblyman brand Nick say this yesterday online whose great great guy, big heart. He is. He's a very very nice guy. Phil Murphy is you're not gonna find a nicer guy. I'm telling ya. I'm telling you a great guy. Sweater. But I gotta tell you Steve Sweeney's ahead of say, this is a tough guy. This is a big tough guy who and if you're an outside the area, he's the guy that was supposed to be the governor Phil Murphy came in and gave everybody money and said, look, I'm a Wall Street guy here take my money. Make me governor. Pullman happens Steve Sweeney. Smack somebody in the back of the head. He doesn't look very happy back there. You know? Respect for Steve Sweeney and for governor. But he looks like every every time governor mentioned a fifteen dollars our minimum wage. For like. But here's the bigger problem with the government in New Jersey as opposed to New York Cuomo is willing to work with the legislature. And it seems as though the legislature is willing to work with him unless he's going to bully them into getting the things that he wants governor Murphy shows, no sign of wanting to work with the legislature. We good game. He talks about I always ready to talk. And then it goes, meanwhile Sweeney, and we don't hear from this guy. We don't get it. And you wanna know why that you don't hear from the governor? And why the government doesn't do this? I know if you people are working, you know, buying the closed doors there, and they all say he he's hired a very very young millennials staff that has no clue how New Jersey works. The problem. Your your point is criticism is they're all just of Abbott you, right? Because what I what I'm hearing is whether or not you have to reach out the assembly you have to reach out to you have to reach out to the Democrats and the Republicans you gotta sit them down in your office. You'll wouldn't doing here help me out here, and especially somebody like assemblyman brand Nick who's a friend a personal friend. I know how he works in a bipartisan way in jersey. You gotta bring them in. And you got to answer them. And I guess if you from Wall Street, you think you can do it yourself or something I'm not quite sure. But whatever it is. It's just not working. We're getting slammed inside people that he hired are not qualified to handle the positions. They're coming from a from a different place. They don't know how government works, and they're they're just not the type of people first of all Martin Murphy yesterday. Did he mention the Katie Brennan thing at all if he wants to be this progressive governor that he talked he talked about he should've came out and said, look, we did a one. This woman we need to fix this problem. Why is it? The Katie Brennan got a gut sexually assaulted. Nothing was done about it allegedly. We had another woman in the cabinet that was working for the governor that somebody or chair in a room, and he's kind of dismissing it as nothing yet you keep hiring these people. I mean, it's just it sends the wrong message alga, Cuba, fired up get off my lawn. I love it. Hey, I'm I'm a shout out to Janet Janet Janet is that right? I I met somebody Asia we listen all the time. And she said, oh, let me see your cufflinks. This is how I know. They're listening to the show. She goes like that Frankie. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All day yesterday because there was a there was a teddy Rizzo bobblehead Frank's favourite he walked in. And I walked in yesterday morning. Hank was so of sales and like a little kid. He goes, oh, someone broke my teddy Roosevelt. It wasn't just broken. It was it was abolished shattered. The first thing I thought about when they Lynch those those would nine Tienanmen my Sicilian Americans in Orleans in eighteen ninety two because they thought that the the the police chief was killed, and they they blame the Italians, and they leached the Italian do what I'm telling you. They lynched the Italian Americans in new to this country the immigrants there, and and and then if the teddy Roosevelt says they got what they deserved. It was teddy at I'm just roughly paraphrasing with teddy Roosevelt said they got what they deserved imagine that if somebody said that nowadays, and by the way, just gonna let me get on a political point here about the Italian Americans. Never no one ever said. Sorry, no one ever said. Sorry. No one ever said. Oh my God. You lynched Italians you have. But now we have white privilege now, we're racist. Don't talk to me. Don't even talk to me, the pray. You could Lynch Italian Americans, the president could shoot you down. And. We don't do nothing except continue onward and forward and keep working hard. It. Don't get me started. But the fact of the matter is is Georgia. You new teddy Roosevelt. I have another one home. So it's not. All right. All right. So so anyway, but thanks for the cufflinks I will post the cufflinks and Heidi Janet, and I hope I ever named right, Janet. You're wonderful, wonderful gal. I love meeting. Everybody out there. I drove around. I'm like Uber. Dadge over an all day yesterday and today same battery hold up better. It's new it's new. Every second probably probably or push. Thank you. So I, you know, so I'm having big might make big Mike's gonna take the car to the dealer or go to route twenty two Toyota just go up to the guys at route twenty two. Battery man because that bad damore thought about it. And I'm talking about how my battery went dead the other night. And then some guy came over Senate guy. Hey, you need a battery. Joe I can't I can't jump. Start your battery. It's done. It's done. I gotta get about only in New York is a guy gonna go. I can get your battery. And I look out my window at the driver's side window this guy. Daddy, great guy, Danny really, how long is it. Gonna take told a car you got to take it to the dealer. What are you gonna do? He goes about ten minutes. The next block the car another battery out of another car put it in whatever it is. It's working Joey benefit video. That situation. And then you follow the guy. How did he get a battery at Ted bet is please. No, you could get. I mean how much is it better? Because how much is the biggest? At least fifty bucks, no battery for my car was like one hundred and eighty bucks. To Bill two three bills to ten two hundred ten that's good. And then abandoned, abandoned know. Take care of my boys. Hey, wait a minute. Battery to. It's about a five hundred dollars one expensive sandwich. You bought your door? Joanie Raboteau waiver just. Five hundred don't worry about it know. Oh, my back on you. Let me go to Mike guys before we break. Mike. Good morning. What's on your mind this morning? Thanks for calling them friend. Go ahead. "I'm alone Steve Sweeney, not able to be with us today. He is traveling with President Trump. He took big trip over to Iraq. And then I guess when he came back. He was a little bit hit by the by the jet lag. Yeah. So yes. Exists thieves. So larger than life now that he did the movie very different. Yes. It's like f troop wandering in here. Getting ready to go the gym carols lost in our palatial newest state. And would you hold down the fort? Yes. You put the heavy guy. That's right. Speaking to heavy everybody ate well during the Christmas season of I made a wanna know some of the food. I may Johnny sap go right ahead. Joel I made a linguini with clam shrimp. Nice. I do die for absolutely. We'd put it against any fight some in. All right. Well, you gotta come down to the cafe fair enough. We'll have you picked up. Where's the cafe your Scituate? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Then I did a pick us up. Joe? Yeah. Yeah. Pick you up. I'll pick you up. Joel. We're both whatever. Whatever. Yeah. I like food. Did a nice piece of salmon with with parsley with a little bit of mush did. I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. List goes on and on. But but anyway, but the key here though, is now that we had a great Christmas season. I want to before the show is over reflect a little bit on two thousand eighteen would that be. Alright sure. I would love it if we could get Christians involvement too because lots happened and there were the Joe Chris call up on your magic screen. Yeah. What were the top news stories of two thousand eighteen would you do that? I know. I know that's Jo Malone goes to New Zealand that was fun. Yeah. Went to New Zealand. Bologne does the New Zealand house? So let's see here. I am going to before the end of the villain. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I can't reveal. Okay here reveal Mark Cuban remembered Mark Cuban who played a Thompson played for the. Yeah. Wind. Wow. Okay. And she's over the years. They have not been there. Many guys from Massachusetts have made it to the NFL. Yeah. You can almost count on Freddie Morales. Yup. Mark Bavaro player. One of them played for the patriot. Heading McAfee a great kind of a short career with the giants. How we lost in Bob Sweeney. Still bitter that he moved out of child. But he was born at Somerville hospital. On Cavaliers before anybody from some of ill make it to trainer hall of fame. Third baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates originally from Somerville gotta limit this. Just the. Baseball player. Joe? That's that's pretty impressive. All right. Okay. All right. I think all right. Very good. Let's see here. I mentioned Ken McAfee couple incentives now attentive. Danny Ross from every play a great player, northeastern, innocence and editing lazing Super Bowl had a great career catches. Yeah. The forty Niners. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And out of northeastern unlikely place to go to the pros excellent player. Bobby Kappa dawn out of Watertown Wright played with the Green Bay Packers. And then a little bit with the patriots. And I'm trying to think Flutie kid from data. Yeah. A bad trophy winner. Joe? Oh because you had to go into the service after right after the naval academy. Do is commitment, but I had a short career with the pats. The nick. He actually was from Springfield one of our people. Yup. Joe's voted today to to one Winthrop. So he's used to Italian. Yeah. That's right. Makes you almost one of our I'm surrounded by Italians, and they're wonderful food. So so I'm looking at the by the way, I'm looking at the herald today, or as I like to call it my beloved herald, and man all the news hours. But well pot. We are big big issue. I guess. Wow. And you think about how the world is changing between gambling in pot. If somebody had told you maybe not five years ago, but ten years ago. So that's two thousand eight is gonna be legal pot in gambling in the state. And by the way almost sports betting. It won't be long. I think it's an eight states now. So. This of somebody asks you what are the odds parts going to be legal? You could go to your local casino and find the exact point, right? Yeah. Yeah. And again, this is just one way to marginalize Italian Americans Joe because those are areas that we made a lot of money on. All right. Okay. Sees away from us. Took the street number away from us. The street number. I remember that. Yeah. So there's something else they used to call. Bad show is Brady done Joey Carol. All right. Thank you very much. That was like a loaded question. I. Johnny sap. No. I mean had bad game against the bills. I think he's hurting. I think the left knee is obviously an issue. And when you're forty one years old, you know, the bumps the bruises so he has to say. Hundred percent healthy. Of course. That's what he's gonna say. If Trump said that they asked him a question like that. And he said quarterbacks lie. No the quarterback doesn't want to say y- at about eighty percent right now. Because now the opponent knows you're eighty percent. They're going to go after that that area. Media fake news media would then say he's saying eighty probably really only at thirty. But let's not equate football with the White House some much more important. So he said he said on the radio the other day wants to play next year. But maybe a couple more doesn't seem as communities. He has in the past. And I think at some point you just gonna wake up one day and go I'm done. I just can't commit to doing all of this and showed any my life dealing with football. I've got a beautiful wife and kids and plenty of money. So I'm gonna move onto something. So Tim FOX, you know, former patriot great. When when I asked him that question on one of these shows. A few years back. I said, how do you know when you finished in? He said when you're young you play game on Sunday by Tuesday, pretty much the aches and pains of gone when you're older by Thursday, the aches and pains is still there in you realizing that you can't go the whole week limping around the practice field, then expect to be good on the following son. As a quarterback can't practice. You can't get the reps. Right. You're wide receivers. And that impacts how you play the following Sunday and how the team plays. So now, I would say this. And you know, in retrospect, it seems like common sense the style that they game plan that they had for the last game with Iran the ball a lot and they committed themselves to the running game is so much smarter. If you've got a forty one year old quarterback than asking him to stand in a pocket like forty times a game in the Laura. Of averages says, you're gonna get wax round much more than if you standing back there twenty five time, but that may not work against the jets this week, and it may not work against the ravens in the playoffs or whoever else they have to play because if you're playing the ravens who have probably the best defense in football. You're not going to run for two hundred seventy three yards against them. So at some point Brady is going to have to be Brady. Good bills. They're pretty good. So so even that to concentrate, you're not concentrate, but you have to. Come to terms with the fact that you're not gonna take the ball down the field every single time. So let's say a third of pressure on you defend it does. So in other words, what you're saying is surround Brady with a really good defense of running game. And all of that. While Bill bell check ever shown the ability to do that. It's been Brady Brady's carry this team for nearly two decades. You know, the last time they had a really top tier defense was two thousand fourteen. Defense has Ben leaky in the past? Let's say if you're playing a team like the ravens who peaking at the right time here. They've got a very nice running game. They've got a defense that can stop the run. So they get the kickoff. They come down the field. Okay. Now. It's it's it's third and twelve now, maybe it's just, you know, hey, okay. We're gonna put Brady back down back to try to convert a third and twelve audio just really there's something short across the middle screen or a drawer and kick the ball and say sooner or later, we gotta stop live to fight another day. The lowest because he's not the Tom Brady was six years ago or last year last year he threw for five hundred five yards in the Super Bowl. So I think there's some injury concerns there. This concerns that he wasn't all in the off season. And was the one starting quarterback in the NFL did not attend OT as you know. I just think at some point after doing this for nearly two decades that this is maybe not the most important thing for him anymore as it has been for the last two decades. And again, part of it's being forty one years old you've got a wife kids other interests. And again to be as great as he's been. He's had to be all in this to the point of being maniacal. And if he's not that way, then he's a very good quarterback. Not a great quarterback. Yeah. And again, though, if you've feeling the pain on Thursday or even Friday, then it's like man, what you just said, what am I doing this for three hundred million in the Bank? My wife has five hundred million in the Bank. Hey million and the just guessing he's got plenty of money. I don't think he's cables getting shut off the hook line as to why does Christian come in here to produce the show hundred million more than three hundred. Wow. What a game. It's the love. Radio station. I just can't miss being with you for one. I love it. I love it. Chris. What are we stories that occurred this past? Yeah. Well, I know the kids stuck in the in the in the cave that was big. Yeah. According to this is NPR. So I know that your your Cup of tea, so right? But I'm a very eclectic guy there number one political story or a news story was the Brad Kavanagh supreme court confirmation that was political story. Yes. They're doing news political at NPS. I'm looking at right now. Right. Yeah. That show. So that was big for lots of reasons, obviously, the whole country watched it word for word over the course of that process. They saw how the. Sausages made so to speak with one side saying something was all one way the other side saying was all the other way, that's a legitimate big story, not to mention the ramifications. You know of a supreme court nominee being appointed presumably given his age you'll be there for a long long time. John Johnny sad story to me would be. Yeah. That was a big story. Absolutely. Because we saw it unfold right before is we got to see it on television. I also thought another big story in Christian has list, but the parkland shooting and the kids reaction to what I thought was an interesting story Hauge now, I guess it's going to attend Harvard Harley they have some type of doodling class. Yes. He's going to be actually knew that came in three parkland shooting Spurs, youth engaged. So what was to number two was the fact that Democrats took over the house in the middle. Big story. And what was number is though. Number four, Trump administration ex migrant family separation policy. Yeah. I'm sure he's not going to be. Hey. Another. Rescinding that policy that was on the ball. Yeah. I haven't seen. Story of always done lowest unemployment rate in the history of the country's generally tend to be about bad news, though. Yeah. Number five. I guess. Good or bad, depending on which way, you think but record number of women run in win in the midterm election. Coulter would not be happy with that. That was five. He doesn't think women should vote number six Coulter. Well, you guys have your wackos. Everybody's got their wackos. You'll also they've the leftists said that women voted the way their husbands told oh. That that catch it. All right. Let's see. What's the next one? Good good ones. Number six was a voter turnout hits one hundred year high for midterm elections while that's quite interesting. What the part that's can be taken two ways. Right. Oh, yeah. Outcome. I'm sure you guys may not agree with this number seven White House and administration chaos and scandal all the secretaries administrators Leaving Las. Wow. Mateusz mattis. Would never be an article like deep state chaos at scandal where call me finish in this call him. He was not on the out of office for year and a half, and he's still dirty cop that was destroying evidence. What was that? Nothing. Nothing on commies boys, destroying all the evidence for the deals. Right. Right. Right. Nothing. Is he the first person that really just like pissed off everyone, right because Democrats have a problem. Yeah. No, you're right. Well, now, he's on his favorite more by the Democrats. I think if you really looking. Jacket impacted the twenty sixteen election dropping that letter before the election that didn't help Hillary Clinton in July. He managed to really upset everybody because he didn't recommend an indictment, but he kind of convicted Hillary Clinton. Information. So he he managed just upset. Everyone is he the most sanctimony is. Oh, my. He's also hobbled up a sitting president vice leaking something in the specific point of getting a special prosecutor that is there anything nearby. No. There was not on the top ten doesn't. Wow. No fan of just check. No like got up federal deficit jumped seventeen percent in the last one was Trump reshapes federal judiciary as GOP cynical for the heck of it. So just go. Let's go back to two thousand and sixteen. Go back to two thousand fourteen biggest polit political news stories of the let's see if Christian can two thousand fourteen back four years. He's going..
