"I give him credit when he actually deployed the National Guard the day before say Michael this was shot by the way Sir but I actually have a credit for that I I heard you I can't I can't rock a bye gave Steve I give Steve Sisolak we did we never talk about Barack Obama we front up rock we rarely have conversations clock but never one positive thing is him right now what we talk about shop every day if we talk about a bomb every single day I would say probably five or six possibly so if you want your if your Sir talk about Brock about every single day if you wanna make that that week that week generalization which if you want all right well I think you'd be better if we talk about Barack Obama every single day I promise you I will say two hundred percent times more pleasant things about Barack Obama that you would ever save us all if you if you want to say that I don't think about myself okay if I could talk if you want to say that I have trump derangement syndrome and do what the right wing whackos do that's on you and I will just turn it on you like I always do with idiots who make statements like that you can't say if I'm not you know not support I could just finish without being interrupted again I will respond by saying you have trump **** syndrome you go down on the president every single day you were the Donald Trump NY patch you kisses **** and anytime anybody criticize them for anything you defend the area which is not true at all okay yeah I have I have gone out of my way not as bad don't show up on many many occasions get back but I do give him credit where credit is due I absolutely you're very critical the president all right two five seven five three nine six go to David David you're next on the Vegas stay with updated really got about calling in but I did you kind of made my point that I was going to make and that is that you know a lot of these guys declare themselves as being quote unquote autonomous and put up signs that say you're not leaving the United States that makes them insurrection right is it end of story and that you can spend on the military immediately you can't though because if you're not answering your soil anymore they're insurrectionist and by that definition that's why they changed it may all right and and that's it and that's why now what if these autonomous zone started picking up all over the country they would be taking out almost immediately but the only reason why it went that way the military hasn't gone in and done their business and probably deported everyone there is because this is so embarrassing for the United States and so good for Donald Trump in able to see what what radical thinking can actually create that that's all I will that's why this still existed all right so you guys could have your love fest here but I would say was that's what's important I don't know I had a chance to respond to what you I'll keep I'll keep you on the line Sir as far as what jadis comments this is embarrassing for the United States I'll tell you what's embarrassing for the United States to words Donald Trump I'll go on to say that Sir I agree with what you just said peaceful idiots I think that is a very fair characterization of who they are I think they're peaceful idiots in fact I've called them idiots I've never on the show defended what they are doing but the right wing I haven't and and I would being that's fair anyway understand understood understood I'm not a liberal and I'm not saying you call the one I'm not a liberal I'm not a Democrat what I am as I try to be honest with my opinion some people are going to greet some people gonna disagree these people are not violent criminals they're not terrorists now is there a possibility that there might be a few bad actors there sure that's certainly a possibility Sir but what I am telling you is that there are five for example were chard Brooks the guy who was shot and killed a lancer that's a violent criminal thank god I deserve to get shot these people in Seattle do not deserve to get shot they're not violent criminals they don't deserve to spend the rest of our lives in general they are committing crimes anyway I and I totally agree with you know for example I live in Summerlin if people in Summerlin suddenly started you know where we we pay for this stuff and now we don't want to be a part of United States anymore well I still want to be part of United States so I get about you so I don't think everybody in that search box on it saying Hey I don't want to change any more and yet somehow the small majority hi jacked up because there's been a big news of a foreign right I agree with that listen they're idiots they're stupid as you as you as you characterize them as their peaceful although they're not serious violent crime compromise and say eighty twenty eighty twenty piece of audio and twenty twenty percent twenty percent of bad intentions and in some case and it would be and based on what's been happening on various videos there there are some that would like to to get involved in some nefarious acts and I would also just say going back to report that we had the top the our guys is that this is a unique situation because it's Seattle and it's a fixed ultra short liberal area and as Hannah Scott from Cairo radio said these idiot sees peacefully it says Brian call some are getting aided by the local businesses there and by the local government so this is a unique situation I don't think it happened in Summerlin because.

"On one oh one five F. M. seven twenty AM he don what about the biggest picture but she girls he would as well broadcast live on a Friday as you know governor Steve Sisolak held a press conference yesterday looking at when do we start phase one lot doesn't seem like it's gonna happen tomorrow could be before the fifteenth of may could be around the fifteenth debate looks like that's probably what's going to happen then it's gonna take minimum of two to three weeks that's what he said minimum of two to three weeks before we move to phase two so the guy we have with us on the line right now he is with the retail association of Nevada obviously an industry that is mightily struggling all local businesses are struggling right now certainly retail and his name is Brian Wachter he joins us right on the line Brian I appreciate you coming on how are you fine well thank you for having me reporting sure you bet so I guess my first question would be a loaded question your thoughts on governor Sisolak your thoughts on what he's done in the retail industry local business do you think he's going about it the right way what would you say to Steve Sisolak right now what we would say that we appreciate I think the the cautious optimism that he showed yesterday at the press conference I I believe wholeheartedly that he and and all of our elected officials want the economy back up and running they're not keeping up close because you know there there's a a reason or argument had but really making sure that we have the testing capacity to be able to accurately predict where the the did beat my head and then making sure that we have a hospital capacity to deal with any kind of sudden surge we thought today on the fake reported numbers our largest increase in the last three weeks that could be because of testing but also could you know the fight that but the virus is still there so we appreciate how how constantly removing and and we're excited to begin looking at the things that Brian I appreciate you saying that because listen you're with the retail association of the batter and you could come on the radio today you could have said he's doing a horrible job he's doing it for political reasons they want to get Donald trump out of office you know there's some people on the right and I know you don't speak for them but there are some on the right that are using those type of talking points I'm just saying I appreciate the fact that you're kind of echoing exactly what I'm saying it's not like he wants you to suffer right he's trying to be cautious about it and be responsible about it because as I'm sure you would agree if we open up all retail today and the virus started to spread again which could be a possibility there's no going back right we have one shot at getting this right is that how you feel pride about this as well what we're very concerned about some sort of kind of W. re emergence or growth we think you know for our small guy you know holding on for as long as they have the black you know fifty days or so not being able to open some of them have had the cash flow to be able to keep their employees on a lot of them have been and and being able to re open a is going to be a life or death kind of situation for the we offer I think have to recognize that the marketing consumers are going to dictate a lot about behavior government you know conventionally stay were re opened but we you know we've been monitoring consumer behavior during the entire process and consumers are still very cautious the majority of our our folks that we surveyed would still let the fund of Caleb wanted nine as an eight so they are concerned so I think customers and consumers are gonna ultimately make the decision as to what they feel comfortable doing when her mom thanks for that and I I would think we appreciate the cost with the but there are some things we think government could be doing to help us free open you know maybe more efficiently or with a lot more confident that what we're going to be doing it it's going to work in and it's going to have economic gain if you're just joining us we're speaking with Brian Wachter from the retail association of Nevada I mean so Brian how do you think this is gonna work out I mean for any type of retail store even like a clothing store something like that are we going to have like a number only a amount of people are allowed in the store one time do you think there's going to be like curbside shopping I mean what do you think we're going to see from day one when some of the stores are partially allowed to open what we're really your dad start today actually the governor did you know remove some of those restrictions on retailers that were open that can be able to provide kind of the curbside experience like alcohol or their customers were like alcohol but now it it'll you know essentially any store now can engage and curbside practice the the longer they're maintaining the guidelines come closer well you can see and then the state health department and so really it's going to be how did these customers spend the next two weeks getting to that level of infrastructure so that that can maintain you know can be maintained as the big core part of their business as you start allowing you know maybe a few people indoors or out of town and not all going to be I think really about how businesses themselves on an individual level are going to be able to play with in the federal building together right given the uniqueness of course of what we have here in Las Vegas and in the state of Nevada that's a lot of our economy is obviously driven by hospitality and the gaming industry and we've seen the the phasing program that has been put out there by governor Sisolak and our leaders here do you anticipate that we're going to end up on the back end of the phases as far as a a major part of our economy right I mean to you when you talk about a hotel the talk about casinos the talk about restaurants and bars we have so many that are eight monster part of what we do here in this part of the country here in Las Vegas Nevada do you think that's basically the back end of the phases where we're going to start really opening up these establishments what we have to remember that in in Clark County in Las Vegas R. on any given month are you sure it's usually outnumber residents right you know and and so the question is going to be a when can we get back to you know kind of a full economy or or for economic activity when we rely so heavily on folks coming into the state so we can do all that we can deal with the fact that you know making sure and what we're looking at the leadership and I think it's been often from the reports on what they're doing to make sure that their customers still bait and confident in order to be able to travel but I think that's why Nevada is looking at such a long recovery period regardless of what we do with the favorable when because of actually going to come down to you know if worldwide travel back and not the folks are feeling comfortable and confident to begin picking up those productivity yeah and I don't think it's gonna be a worldwide travel is going to be domestic travel at that's a Vegas is going to focus on advertising wise over the next six to twelve months but as you know that ninety nine percent of businesses and in about our small businesses and only three point two percent of the small business of actually gotten loans from the small business association another British by the government that the six hundred billion dollars it is Mr collectively so far what do you think that that is going to do to the numbers for the retail industry of the actual call two years well for the the PPP program we have members that are in kind of every stage of this particular process until we have numbers that have still been unable to even get a relationship with the bank to be able to apply to the FBI alone we've got folks that have really sensible bank that now how to apply to the FDA and are waiting for ma'am we have folks have been approved by the FDA but haven't been funded and we're starting to see numbers now that have been funded from the loans and so we're able to kind of be the experience that our members are going through each stage and then ultimately what they're doing now that the kind of quote unquote works and our members have experienced problems at every level and the folks that have been funded are coming across and finding it difficult to increase their workforce or bring it up as long as there's a an employee centered on June thirtieth that half the match your employee handbook from February in order for those loans to be forgiven and we're we're experiencing now what companies are having a difficult time getting enough employees to meet those requirements how many of those companies in your opinion are phase three or phase or what would be considered a phase three phase four companies that open up on under those circumstances and if this last another two or three months will that money that they're given from the federal government even support them through that time well we have you know from the retail industry we have numbers that at every side of the industry in every different walks though for those you know are are still longer hairdressers or barbers shop you know those that are going to be kind of push back into may do more than those paid to area that it's going to be you know much more difficult and whether or not those loans can can carry them over you know that long it's really gonna be depending on time yeah we we do anticipate that there will be additional stress on small businesses the longer we go back but we think that facts why then if we opened up and then had to be closed yes I think we all can agree we'd rather those businesses receive some help at some loans than the LA Lakers but I guess that's another story for another shelf Brian I really do appreciate you taking the time to join it sounds like you do a great job with the retail so see Asian we appreciate your perspective and thank you so much for joining us thanks opera thanks for the card Brigitte that Brian I watch your smart guy sounds like he's doing a good job in representing you know retail and helping people and just giving advice and it seems like his organization is really doing everything they can to try to propel this forwarded to save somebody's local businesses okay here's how we're gonna do we're gonna take a quick break and when we come back Joe Biden accused of sexual assault woman by the name of terror Reid and I believe nineteen ninety three how the right is handling this how the left is handling this how the blighted campaign is handling this and why I think he did not do himself any favors by making an appearance this morning on MSNBC denying there's these allegations will talk about that coming up next you're listening to the Vegas take right here "We certainly thank you for your service not a governor Steve Sisolak thank you for being with us thanks for having me we know flying is already stressful for so many Americans and now during the middle of this pandemic it could feel even more daunting recently a nearly full American Airlines flight departed from JFK at least one passenger expressing alarm as social distancing measures were not being practiced joining us now to discuss how to keep you and your family safe while traveling is A. B. C. news transportation correspondent T. O. Benitez NGO thanks for being with us talk a little bit about what precautions airlines are taking right now to try and ensure passenger safety yeah so maybe there's a lot of big news here because jet blue is now making it mandatory for all passengers to wear a face covering on a plane American United they're gonna be offering those face coverings to customers but they're not making it mandatory so jet blue is the first airline to do that and most of the major U. S. airlines right now they are requiring their flight attendants to wear face coverings on a plane so what should people who are worried about social distancing on planes what should they do look there's something really easy you can do as you're booking a flight one of the things you can do is just go ahead and see how many seats are actually empty because you can see that when you're booking a flight you can ask them if you're booking on the phone too I do that all the time and if you see that a flight is just too full see if there's another option because that's gonna be a little better for you but you know what to be honest a lot of these flights are going to be pretty empty so the airlines are saying you can move around they're gonna let you go to another seat if it makes you more comfortable United says it's gonna try to leave one seat empty next to each passenger delta says it's blocking middle seats American says it's blocking half of all middle seats in the main cabin and remember the CDC recommends that you wear a mask if you are traveling no matter what yeah that is certainly key in terms of being good to your neighbor what are the other modes of transportation geo Amtrak many bus services we know we've been hit pretty hard are they taking similar measures like we've seen in these airlines yes we spoke with Amtrak and right now they're only recommending these face cover earnings if you're there in their terminals and they're on their trains we spoke with greyhound though and they said that if you're in an area that mandates face masks in public they say you're gonna have to wear that in their terminal and on the bus all right and you know we all know summer's right around the corner I know a lot of us are thinking about how we're going to get around and you know you think about your own car it's probably the safest way to travel if you need to know who's been there and he was touched what what what should people know before they hit the road so we've got some really good news here because gas prices are incredibly low the national average right now a dollar seventy seven a gallon but you know what I have some relatives who were down in Florida when this whole pandemic started and right now they've decided they're gonna drive up to New Jersey they're gonna drive home to New Jersey because they just want to control their environment just a little bit but I reminded them as I'm reminding you right now if you're taking one of those long road trips planned ahead call these hotels because many of them are just closed and great advice there G. O. thank you so much we appreciate it thanks in B. "Man identifies as an independent and says it's time for the governor of Nevada to lift stay at home orders for heaven's sakes for being closed is killing us all ready and killing Las Vegas park industry but Nevada governor Steve Sisolak says stay at home orders won't be lifted right now because lifting them to see what he says could be more people would get sick and die that's what's gonna be happening over the next several weeks when and how Vegas is crushed and they're certain parts of the country will have an economic boom compared to other parts and it's still going to be a slow go for them but Vegas it's going to take them here's five years to get back to where they were this is costing him and we talk about the economic just crash here think about how many companies are going to try to make a comeback once this opens up and within a few months they're gonna file bankruptcy a ton a time JC Penney's is close to filing bankruptcy again Macy's is closing a bunch of stores a lot of places that have closed down temporarily that will become permanent the one thing is if you look around how can you actually come out ahead this is the perfect time to start a business well how's that because there's opportunity here where the opportunities how can you find opportunities in this market place there will be needs that need to be met when this opens up how do you become a part of that some things it's gonna take a long time to come back and as we start to get more more earnings I think you'll see more more pressure on the stock market which means retirements are going to take a hit the housing market is starting to not just stumble it's starting to really really hit it and I think if we go through may with the majority of the country shut down come June July and August your going to see Sirius it's going to make two thousand eight look like nothing so there's a lot that's going into this but how can you like everybody else figure out well what can I do there's stuff that people can do opportunities to go out and figure out okay how can I fix the needs where are the needs how can I be a part of that three two three five three twenty four twenty three at Chad Benson shows your Twitter you can tweet at me the antibody test is very interesting and it's I can't wait I think of taking mine next week I'm pretty sure I've had it so we'll see what it looks like but I'll take mine next week and they're improving more and more these things and still the immunity question is how long will you be immune from this because everybody's pretty sure that you are going to be immune is it going to be a year's gonna be several years is going to be for good I don't know but I want to take the test lab manager Tyler had a high fever back in February but most of the coronavirus he told our Diane Sawyer he tested positive for covert antibodies what kind of relief that you feel when you heard this it's kind of like a little bit of a weight got lifted just because there are so many people that are getting affected by this that it's kind of it's just nice to know that I somehow got through it without too much issue but Tyler is still waiting to find out if he is now immune to the virus one of the keys to restarting the country yeah and I think that you can expect that you're going to have some immunity to the virus it's just how long is that going to last is that going to last again a year the last several years is it a last a lifetime well I talked to governor one of the coverage of the day the governor Doug Ducey he said you know if you've got that you've tested for it you've got the everybody's it's almost like having a a master class where you've got something that somebody else you don't have to worry you don't have to be overly crazy precautions you can do some other things and not have that kind of fear factor of all what happens if but it still goes back to how long will you be immune to it and I think for most people you figure you could be immune to it for at least a year cell until they get a treatment in place or until they get a vaccine I think people take that three two three five three eight twenty four twenty three at Chad Benson shows your Twitter you tweet as well talk to somebody a little bit later Smith very interesting they're going to donate on the chat show behalf of thousand mass to organization a nonprofit of my choice and that's interesting to talk about masking how you can reuse them how you can make them homemade mask in it this will be fun we talk to them and hear it coming up in a little bit such events show.
