And we welcome you back. It's great to have all of you with us and let us move along. Please, Kathy is in Georgia. Hey, Kathy. Good afternoon. Hi, Paul. I just got a few things to say about ash to pay that when I went yesterday or several of them. And the book of James, it tells about the time it's like a two edged sword. I need to be careful when they're using their words and basically they all need to learn. We all need to know that our opinion is our opinion. What people think of us is none of our business. We need to just worry about ourselves and what we think while other people think. And they might get along a lot better. Jim has a right to fail the way he does. He has a way of. But there's no sense and all this and like that. I know what to entertain and point. But after a while, it gets up to and I appreciate it. And thank you and have a good day. Thank you very much, Kathy. I appreciate you sharing that. With us. Matt is in my Paul fine bob. How you been, man. I feel better now. We're talking about my gig in the Aggie, a little bit about Jim, but first of all, Maggie's Paul, I think it's the last thing that goes on, but this is a potential year for him and his team to go level one because he has that potential. I know we don't know the quarterback is going to be, but they have that potential to go 1101 this year. And I want your thoughts on it, Paul in about Jim, I'm not even afraid of Jim myself. He's a freaking hacked up and a loser. No, no, hold on a second. Why would you call Jim a hack and a loser? He's been a mainstay of this show for many, many years, Matt. Okay, because honestly he's not the future no more. He's the path and the cars as a future of this show, not Jim anymore. So who would you say, mat, you're a young guy, you're in your 30s, right? Yes. If you had to identify some of the callers who you think will carry the show forward, who would they be? Auggie. We got a certain navy. You have Iron Man? That young kid that calls in at least a 13 years old. He's a future of the show. And the younger color that call on this show, they're just your show. Jim is this a guy who thinks he's a feature it's all about him. He's narcissistic. Thinks he's about him. No offense, like I said, Jim is just a freaking half job. He's not the future no more. Here's my point. I guess sports because we're you Jim. What was the first game ever played in college football history? Can you answer it? I can answer it right now. I can take it to score too. Okay, well, Matt, thank you very much. Nathan. Is up next in Memphis. So hello, Nathan. Hey, it's always good to talk to you before I get into your comments on our ball. Brian Kelly's winning the transfer for this all season. I don't know how many games we win, but I'm excited for the future. And Paul, why don't so many people disagree with you with what you say about our ball? The man beat Ohio State one time and thought he was destined to go back to the NFL. You know, Ian rapoport told pat McAfee that a lot of the noise that we were hearing from the NFL about horrible was from his own the NFL doesn't need them all. How about Jim beetle how to save one more time? Maybe a couple more times. And then consider. Yeah, you know, Jenny, I'm glad you brought that up, Nathan. I don't go knocking on doors offering opinions on Jim Harbaugh. I'm usually asked, and I don't really care one way or the other, but I'm on the ESPN occasionally talking about things and they asked me about horrible given opinion it happens to it happens to go viral. What I find interesting is in Harbaugh, it really is a Michigan fan base. I've never run into a more insecure thin skinned paranoid fan base in the University of Michigan and maybe I understand it. If you got your head handed to you, every year, except maybe once in a decade, you would probably be pretty uptight too. Hey, thank you very much for the call. Appreciate it. Let's talk to Bill. Are you going to go to hello, Billy? I do, mister Paul. We're doing great. Thank you. I called you last weekend. I told you how we actually show me and my wife. Oh, yeah. Well, I was wrong. So let me do it twice a week. And you hold on. You only do what twice a week with your wife. Oh, why? Drink it. Just kidding. Just trying to keep the mood light here on a Thursday afternoon. Go ahead. And, you know, she made me call because she didn't like me. She called a fake. Fake. Why would she do that? Because you're listening to your show, she listens to her cold..

Hey ray, good afternoon to you. Paul. Hey there. Yeah. I'll go. I will tell you about some being unfair. You know what I was growing up seems like the girls get away with a whole lot. What do you think about that Paul? Make sure me make sure I understand this. Ray, you said girls got away with what? Gets away with a lot of things. They get away with things. Okay. This later miss Kate called then she called Jim out. Gentlemen started that argument. I won't listen to the show. You think Jim from Tuscaloosa was justified in his reaction. What I'm saying? You know, in a sense then, you know, he got a bad rapper so called an end man with Jim because he left a woman like that. That's interesting. You are the first person to come to Jim's defense and maybe and why do you think that is? Well, I mean, I'm not the first to call this another day another guy called and he said his wife is here at the same thing. You want to talk to her, but he said, no, my wife been drinking and then you asked her and then she said she don't want to talk about his wife. So I discounted what he said because his wife was under the influence. Will you say in the same thing? Could we give you a sobriety test to make sure well no, I'm not on the fluid. We're just kidding here. I'm not being serious, please. Yeah. So by the way, do you like Jim as a caller? Yeah, I mean, he won the reason I listen to the show, you know what I'm making. You bring ease to the show, you know. Okay. Well, I'm glad to hear that. I'm glad to hear somebody come to Jim's defense. Yes, well, me and other people do too. Hey, how's my call about the other day the guy talking about the Roosevelt? She said somebody Illinois. You know, Illinois was merited. Franklin wrote, but he said. I didn't want to correct him on that. I mean, if you looked at the history of first ladies, I would think Eleanor Roosevelt would be in the top 5 of the most famous first ladies Mary Todd Lincoln, Martha Washington, Jacqueline, Kennedy. But I just didn't, he was on such a role. I didn't want to interrupt him, but yeah, I could not tell you Teddy Roosevelt's wife's name, but it wasn't Eleanor. But you know all through it with cousins, you know, Ellen. Yeah, they were cousins. You're right. And part of the reason became so famous that FDR was in The White House for almost 15 years. And she and she was a very influential and not only that she remained an influential figure for many, many years. Oh, yeah, CC positive. She will probably the person. Yeah. Thank you for the call. I'm glad you cleared that up. I hope people didn't go to bed thinking that teddy had stolen Eleanor Roosevelt from FDR. Augie, I know you didn't believe that. Well, there are a number of things I didn't believe, but Paul, first ladies. What about Dolly Madison? Yeah, I mean, when I think a Dolly Madison, I think of sweet rolls, don't you? Is that your Catholic high school education? Yeah. High school education. We knew about we knew about Kennedy, and that was pretty much it. Well, you'd be studying by now because these Catholics Biden is Catholic, you're absolutely right. Well, again, Catholic, but I won't take credit for that one. But Dolly Madison her house was burned down by the British. You're right. The British are coming. And what she did was she saved the original portrait of general president George Washington, so Dolly was man enough to step up and take action. So but raised right, girls get away with a lot of stuff. Two, two much. Really? But Paul, come on. He was taken up for Jim. Yesterday was a pretty tough day. You had some folks calling in with some very sad news. And then it got worse. Jim called in twice and then the Cicero of Columbus, Jeff calls in and jumps all over you. I mean, that's a bad day. I don't know if it could have gotten any worse. But I guess it could have Jim could have called in three times. Charles from real town could have called back. Well, and I'll jump to him, but your last interview, so we get to look forward to more years of Gary Danielson. Yeah, I have to tell you, after listening to oran, I'm pretty depressed. Because I was an optimist thinking that we would finally be done with that broadcast at three 30 on Saturday afternoon, but apparently we're not going to be. You know, I thought when who was the guy that was doing it with Danielson before, what was his name? Uncle vern. I thought Verne was like bad luck for LSU. And then he left, I looked at a little better, but not much better. I think Gary Danielson is the reason we're not doing good. I'm going to pin it on him and his bad karma. But yesterday, you had apparently in the years pass fixed up Charles. Yeah, it was the mother of a caller. I do remember it now, and we had them on together and I was pretty proud. I thought we had hit the bonanza and Charles made a complete fool out of himself. Well, okay. Don't give up the ship. Can you do the same for Jim? And I think you've got some pretty good prospects. Okay, let's do it. Very enamored with miss K with this Faye. If Jim, and by the way, I think K is, I think Kay's ready to find somebody, don't you? Well, no, I don't think Kate would go for Jim, but two prospects for Jim. Okay, Faye and pat. Yeah. I think Faye might be out of Jim's range. But then she's too smart for him. Pat defended Jim, so they could be karma mates. Well, pat's a big defender of Jim and Twitter and somebody. So really, I didn't know pat was a Twitter. I've tweeted some things back in reference to our friend and she's like you're a mean person, but I think the sentiment overwhelmingly is in favor of what I was tweeting. But I think that's what. I don't know what happened to augie, but we just lost him. Okay, why don't we do this? We'll figure out why augie vaporized in front of our eyes and we'll come right back with much more. "Low on food and gave gave the food to the students in so had to do some more high stakes fishing. There's often these big fish that are so deep that it's really hard to to get any even with on the fly down to him But i was trying my best. So this i remember this fish and that was probably twelve fifteen feet deep in this just crystal clear crazy channel with all the water swirling around like no way to drift to fly right to but i just over and over We pay a little bit more attention. When you're hungry. I guess but just try to put this small nymph in the right place that it gets swirled down to a individually Caught the fish which was a big highlight of the trip. That's all we ate that day. So yeah let's get eating right there. Yeah especially when you're really hungry. Yeah so no matter. What i'm doing when i'm out in the field. It could be photography. It could be duck hunting. I don't care. If if i run across the grouse long as it season we could be in the middle of a high stakes elkhart. We're putting the girls in the backpack for dinner grocer delicious. So you talked about patagonia and she chile so. Tell me a little bit about that i mean. Did you get a chance to do any fishing while you were there and What was that experience like. I did just a little bit of fishing It was mostly mountaineering And so we were kind of above the elevation where there was any open water Most of the time. But maybe right at the start or the end of the expedition's there's some fishing opportunities and Caught a few fish didn't do any of the like destination. Like see ron brown trout. Fishing or anything But would love to go back and explore that just fishing not not as much climbing. Have you ever heard of steve ryan. He does some stuff for fishermen and he goes down there every season for those huge browns. And some of those big rainbows that do that ron and aiming they're enormous. I'm always gonna like. I really wish i could do that today. You know 'cause i mean. They're just enormous fish. But that's a gorgeous region. I mean just probably some of the most picturesque places you've been is probably one of data goni has got to be up there. It's definitely up there in. It's what i imagined this place. There are the mountains here. Might have felt like one hundred years ago or something where you've got blank spots on the map and he feels a little bit more like the actual frontier. Sometimes we just don't know where you're where you're headed into and that's exciting. Yeah and so. What was the wildlife i do. I do have this show that i like to watch. Have you seen the show alone. I haven't seen it in okay. Well they have a season in patagonia so it was kind of interesting to watch. Yeah what kind of wildlife did you see while you were down there. Well lots of cool birds. There's not as many large mammals. There's a deer. The way movable that was kinda rare to see them we saw couple Heard there's wild-boar too which is interesting. That's cool yeah. I didn't see any And so birds Condors cool and fish and yet that's that's about it. That was the locals in canada reception to mit.
Inauguration Day protests in Portland, Seattle
"There were concerns that yesterday's inauguration day could feature violence and protests in state capitals. Things were quiet around New England. In fact, ABC Steve Ryan tells us there were on Lee some limited issues across the country. Yes, there were some protests. In Portland, Oregon, for example, A crowd got out of hand and police lobbed tear gas in Seattle last night created a lot of damage and violence and graffiti but in the capital cities of Salem at Olympia, Few, if any protesters showed up at the State House is the story was the same at state capitals across the country. Demonstrators vastly outnumbered by police and
U.S. Cyber Agency: Computer Hack Poses 'Grave Risk'
"Days of relative silence, the U. S Cyber Security Agency now, says a major computer hack Poses a grave risk. This risk extends to all levels of government, federal, state and local thousands of private companies and organizations have also been impacted and to make it worse. The computer hack is still happening. NPR national security correspondent Greg Meyer is following the story and joins us. Good morning, Greg. Hi, Rachel. We've been hearing about this hack of government computers this week, but but this sounds even more ominous. Yeah, True of the U. S government was really blindsided when the story broke last weekend. President Trump still has yet to say a word. But we now have this assessment from the Cyber Security Agency at Homeland Security. And it makes clear this was an enormous breach, perhaps unprecedented, and it's still taking place. The Department of Energy is the latest government department to acknowledge it was breach, though it says the nuclear arsenal it manages was not at risk. But it's just important to understand. This year scale here. The hackers invaded computers at all levels of government and the private sector. Some 18,000 separate organizations for a little perspective. I spoke to Steve Ryan, he worked for more than 30 years that the National Security Agency and was the deputy director of the Threat Operation Center. This is big. This is bigger than anything we've ever experienced in this country. I don't know what I would put second to this well, So who's behind it? Well, the cyber experts are quite confident it's Russia. This was an extremely sophisticated, stealthy attack, using techniques that have never been seen before. So given this skill level and the targets it points to Russia's foreign intelligence service, the SPR and Attackers are known as cozy bear. You may recall one of those experts, Dmitri Alperovitch says the U. S needs to move quickly on two separate fronts. The first phase is to put out the fire contained the incidents and kick the Russians out of squid responsible. And then the second phase is really looking broader of how the Russians have had this level of access. It's our most sensitive networks really over the last at least nine months, so cyber experts are sure this is Russia is the broader Trump Administration. Well, they haven't given attribution at this point to anyone. And yesterday, Vladimir Putin had this long news conference. He sort of mock the notion that this country would be involved in something like this. But U. S intelligence agencies are starting classified briefings on Capitol Hill and the Republican chairman and the top Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee issued a joint statement saying that quote The cyber intrusion appears to be ongoing and has the hallmarks of a Russian intelligence operation. I mean, if that's the case, this isn't the first time why can't the U. S anticipate prevent these these types of attacks from Russia? Yeah. Rachel, this would be the third big Russian hack In the past five years. I got a glimpse of these U. S efforts to ward off cyber intruders. The National Security Agency invited me last year to its big, sprawling campus out in Fort Meade, Maryland. To see this new big integrated cyber center that it has the include this cavernous hall. It's ineffective War room with all these cyber warriors and big movie screens featuring this constantly updated information. I mean, this may well be the greatest concentration of cyber power anywhere in the world. And yet just months after I visited The hackers broke into computer systems all across the U. S. How I mean, I guess that's the million dollar question more than a million dollars, But I mean, how do hackers keep finding their ways into the systems? It was brilliant and simple. In this case, it was a software update. You know those little notices we all see on our computer screams, and we don't pay any attention to them. But the hackers sort of definitely loaded some malware onto a software update that's provided by a company called Solar Winds. It's a tech company from Austin, Texas. And it's not widely known outside the industry itself. But it provides that these network monitoring updates throughout the U. S. And from March through June 18,000 of its customers. Got this update. And so this allowed the hackers in the email systems and the suspicion is they've moved on and are operating more widely in the networks. The big question right now is did they get into classified government systems? But regardless fixing this will be very painstaking and expensive and urgent, right? Because you said earlier that there still there like they embedded into these systems, and they still exist. They still have a presence there. I mean, this is gonna be a long term problem. What action? Could the Trump Administration take in just the next few weeks? Well, we're still waiting for the president or any member of his men Administration to speak publicly. We've only seen some statements. On. We know President Trump entered office with a Russian hacking controversy. Now he'll be leaving office with this hacking controversy. One He doesn't want to discuss. President elect Joe Biden says he'll impose substantial cost. Yeah, but he knows Now he'll have this big problem on his hands on day one of his administration, NPR's Greg Marie, Thank you. My pleasure.

"One everything entertainment Donna Valentine hi everybody Hey Steve Ryan Perpich what a hello your health question a couple weeks ago I was eating chicken and I eat a lot of you ever feel like you ever feel the food that you're eating almost get a little large like in you're not in your throat but beneath their **** trying to make its way down into your stomach well I thought up for two and then I was like I'll me and maybe I should take a sip of water in them as like war I should eat more chicken so I ate more chicken thinking that more chicken will force the other chicken down and ended up causing quite a bit of pain right like the the base of my breast bone so like that just beneath my bare big people get like heartburn okay so here's my question so it's like how it really was hurting and I was like aw man there's like a ball of chicken down there that I really need to swallow this through it in some kind of passing since then and I believe maybe for the first time in my life I have experience what I think some human beings call Harper where I've had this like burning in like the back of my throat base of my throat come into my chest yep but also I've woken up a couple times in the middle the night with what feels like a semi stewing researcher can log in the bottom of my chest huh I just it's like the pain Donna he is like right there okay like bottom sternum I'm not I want to do a deep breath in it feels a little just a little something in there like a little a little tightness this is a good reason to drink water a lot I had some in the middle of the night last night as I lay there unable to fall back asleep you may want to look into an over the counter product to kind of maybe help break anything up the I don't know what I'm talking about guys and just saying words is it liberating when he starts talking yourself in the middle of your PS thirty minutes actually a wonderful way to hang on a doctor might be on the line hi there you can start your online one I presume you're a doctor or at least have a WebMD account who's this and how can they help okay so I'm not a doctor my name is a live event this same exact thing happened to me about another half ago and it was cheaper and so did it to me and I went to the emergency room I thought I was having a heart attack and they even did a CT scan and it ended up being the same thing it took Steve six weeks for me to feel better you know we date what sort of food lodge down there no no it wasn't I thought it was what they did as he scanned it wasn't long odds there was nothing in there it was just like the impact of the parade and send it was basically just really bad indigestion class heartburn and they gave me some and I just thought they gave me an IV and I stayed on what's called promoted even basically like odium I got that well no it's more like a anti yes and and okay yeah acid reflux medication I think you can get over the counter but I got my prescription six weeks it took before I felt better day I think if you thank you for the call by the way I think if you get like an acid reducer sometimes you need to it needs to take a couple of weeks so you may just because some temporary thinking that I call some inflammation down there correct it was very Bernie now listen I I love pizza ranch my wife's cooking is what did it to me I'm not going to bad mouth her I mean I love the chicken that I was eating it was that it was that like I wasn't going chicken water enough and then I felt this pain and then it was like at large everything down deeper and so that I mean the other the yeah yeah they have to go down to throw okay I've heard that they put you under when people have some food that stuck at the bottom of their is even fly you getting all do people getting anyway hi just sorry no all right just when you think I have a charmed life then you hear what I'm dealing with you get old as a matter of fact coming up at ten forty five today I'm gonna tell you the ages in which parts of your body start to ache you might be a tell what do you at thirty six now thirty seven thirty six yes aren't doing deep breathing to figure out where I feel the pain yeah you to or just eat some anti in floor slam a Tory foods that might help you so glad we had this time together it's time to talk music I enjoy with Donald one time DES batters with someone else this is the new Michael Jackson musical that's going to be coming up from the perspective of his gloves I've got to give a shout out to my uber drivers sure reef who listens to my talk every day I sure repairs but I would say hi drive you last week or yesterday brought you home he brought me home and I have to tell you he was such a pleasant guy and the guy at Jeffrey that I had on the way to the airport was just a lovely we were talking about numbers in the after life and I said okay I know I sound like a crazy person and then he started talking and said now I know I sound like a crazy person and I'm like no neither one of us is crazy this is so great thank you I thank you connection sure if I'll give you your tip later on I haven't checked my email yeah okay all right so here we go new Michael Jackson musical what do you know this so this is really it's a strange it's a strange story you just wonder are we maybe being pranks I mean like if you read the headline Johnny Depp is producing a Michael Jackson musical quote as told by his glove do you feel like you're inside of like a you're reading an article from the onion yes it's a comical take on something it's called the full the full title is for the love of a glove and unauthorized musical fable about the life of Michael Jackson as told by his glove that is the full before title okay there's got to be some comedic aspect to this don't you think well I don't know the put the play right behind it says that he had been hired by a television network to write a story about Michael's life came up with a really unique take they weren't feeling it so he decided to develop instead instead rather for the stay stage instead of setting all on his own he said and I quote this is a quote so I'm this is when the sounds weird and you're right okay I don't know if I can read the whole thing everything I'm Jay has been accused of has actually been caused by his glove which is actually an alien from outer space Israel it is this is what the guy says any completes the phrase by saying something that I'm not comfortable reading on the air okay what is go and then it says the the everyday then the article says the Johnny Depp is producing it hi I I need to know more I would see this probably no now I well now there's so many other better shows as wait for the love of a glove in unauthorized musical fable about the life of Michael Jackson is told by his glove you estimating you know now this one seems very contrived in like a prank again but the amount of Michael Jackson projects that are sort of swirling about even after the documentary that didn't put him in the best light right with Wade Robson in the the yeah that's right yeah not red delicious isn't sorry that wire we kicking this around why don't we all just kind of backed away for a little while figure and then figure out do I want to do this or not does his musical legacy supersede these things he's been accused of but not convicted of his you know challenging I would've been a lighter if we were just talking about cyber Monday here days things up right now it is cyber Monday there lots of deals out there today he's gonna go over a list of them coming up at ten forty five today I can't wait eleven Amazon I bought some Black Friday.

"Thank you Steve Ryan borough is in the studio with us WGN radio news anchor and ABC news radio correspondent I think about everywhere I go I hate to admit this but everywhere I go I think about what will I do if a shooting happens because it's happening everywhere at schools at shopping malls at concerts and yesterday at Chicago VA hospital what can you tell us about the stranded this this is a story that we still don't have a lot of answers to an arms ban apparently the arms with some kind of assault rifles take some shots outside of the VA hospital on the west side and then continues this rampage on the inside we know there were several shattered windows bullet holes can still be seen outside of the building and then went inside and really within seconds of the VA police who were at the facility had him completely cornered and you know took him into custody a Chicago police came and nobody was hurt in all of the same correct yeah no one was hurt now why this gentleman did this we don't know our our reporting from ABC suggest this man is is not a military veteran we don't know what it was he was doing there there were some witnesses who reported hearing him saying things who hit me who hit me so it's possible he was seeking out somebody who have wronged him on the outside of the hospital that is something that witnesses have brought to us but we don't know anything beyond that and really authorities to this point are not letting us know we even know the guy's name I mean they had it within thirty seconds we don't know who this person is that yeah I mean usually we at least know one name yeah I mean I got to tell you I was in Dayton last week and we knew the shooters day with it and get out eight hours of the shooting as well as all the victims I mean it's so high you know his name they just haven't passed that information on hold us that they do not believe that he is a military veteran they have told us that they have had encounters with him before now are these encounters criminal encounters are these encounters mental health encounters we don't know at this point they believe he is a man in his thirties to forties you know with that Walmart shooting that went on there have been other walmarts that there have been reports and I would rather be safe than sorry a lot of times it turned out not to be a shooter sure I I still go to Walmart I went to Walmart over the weekend I will continue to do so but when you hear something like that I would rather them clear the store than take any chances I know it turned out to be a false report but I mean isn't that the way we have to do things and it's it's it's the fire alarm you know that goes off you should all get out of the building rights but a lot of us don't we don't move quickly we I did I don't nothing's the Jeff okay I I know I know but do you know how many I I've been in a restaurant before where the fire alarms going off every just kind of went I mean your fan page walking past us over there to ruin our mail on a given up this mail you know this was as you mentioned a VA hospital there were armed guards security guards nearby how does this play out differently if this is a regular hospital not to be a yeah I mean that that that was helpful I mean there are a lot of areas where there are armed guards in we don't know what this guy's intention was was he just trying to scare someone we don't know I mean you hope you hope that is the you know eight I don't know what you hope they that the good news is I guess out of all of this is that you know no shots were fired at anybody right now it's a lot of clean up going on today things that need to be replaced windows that need to be replaced but nobody was hurt and we don't know like I said if if he was trying to get it somebody if if he was just trying to scare someone if you Mister if he was trying to scare people we don't know is there a press conference scheduled I just find it kind of weird that we don't have any more information we're we're hoping for one the the the mayor and police superintendent are holding out of an honorary event right now and we're hoping that afterwards maybe they'll talk about this or at least tell us Hey we're gonna be talking about this later don't they all I mean I find this so bizarre that yeah we don't have is there reason to believe that because there with trying and withholding information that there is more to the story is there any I I don't know I don't know where they're at in their investigation right now I mean they're clearly getting a ton of phone calls from us and usually I would imagine you'd want you know to to do least shut us up for a little while yeah I know but they probably just want to make sure they got all their ducks in a row before you know and they may be waiting for formal charges they may still be trying to find out how many shots were fired still though they usually announce the stuff now I guess it matters that no one was injured things might be a different story has someone been injured hands and I want to point this out to you know he could have been killed I mean those officers could have come in and help him right on the spot that's one thing they said about the the Missouri kid who went into the Walmart with all that and it is yeah it was and was video and nobody knows what you're trying to do there I mean if there was an off duty firefighter help them at gunpoint there's nothing that says that that off duty firefighter didn't feel threatened and I absolutely yeah no I mean that may not about his intention he may just to protect you but you know that that that could have been held under this one thank god for that off duty firefighter who was there and then I had mentioned the walmarts or other I think there was one and did that for part one in Saint Charles where people thought there are they heard shots I know everybody is quick to react now but I have to admit if I hear anything that sounds like it if it's a motorcycle backfiring or somethin I'm not sticking around to find out what it is I'm going to get out I keep I keep running that the video in my head of Dayton over and over of of the people who are obviously hearing something behind them and they initially see their initial reaction like what the heck is that and then all of a sudden they see people running you can see in their mind all said oh gosh get away you see that process that goes through their heads when they'd when something turns from what's that tell no run you know and it's it's it's scary but it yet it's kind of interesting to watch that that you know how people really had everyone not ever ever would not everyone's always in tune that what is going on is something bad that I need to get away of course and things are heightened now there was some kids were out in the neighborhood and somebody blew off and I made a or something I have to be honest with you for a half a second I'm like I stopped I thought should I call nine one one was that a gunshot and it it wasn't I didn't think it was but I bet police are and nine one one officers are getting more calls because what if it was what if I just dropped bombs at all it's just an animated goofy kid you know that the shot spotter technology that they've added to the west and south side of Chicago are supposed to be able to identify one gun shots are fired in a reason that they put that in there is because they found out they were learning about a lot of shootings until someone actually called nine one one so if shots were fired and no one reported nine one one they have no idea right now they know as soon as the shots fired it alerts there I believe it's it's a hand held their phone device and then there there wow so I mean maybe the victim is the only person who knew that a shot was fired or maybe someone's too scared to say something they're already there so I'd not everyone's got this kind of technology there is something they can differentiate a backfiring car and I'm AT and an actual gunshot all right well the story is far from over I know Ryan you'll continue to chase it let us know what goes on detail wise thanks so much for stopping in you gotta should at that number a quick break and then more show billing went to WGN.

"Yeah which is why Steve Ryan Old. Steve Rogers is actually alternate timeline no matter what the right who say they they didn't bother to read the show Bible is not there from problem job at the show by knows it causes an alternate it just an ultimate universe then second you go back in time. It's talk show. It's almost like what Robert Anton Wilson used to talk about. Everybody has their own reality tunnel. You know they perceive reality in the universe in their own unique way everybody does so. It's like you have your own time line. You have your own world well. Yeah I mean it's the it is in its own way. The close loop is closed loop of birth to death that ensure time line you know and it it doesn't matter we're in space time you go you have your own individual chronology yeah and your own version of it almost exactly so you know maybe snap APP didn't fix everything for anybody but for iron man you know or I mean the reality is is that forever universe in which Steno snaps is that there's fourteen million other ones that he didn't snap because again when backstreet drinks I look at four hundred million possibilities and only one. Do we win well. It's fourteen million out of an infinite number which means it's basically ten. You looked at ten out of infinity or fourteen million infinity. That's still not very many wall right and the other thing is he said he snapped everything in the universe not the multi-diverse so maybe he only snapped away half the population of this universe in the one university was in then he took one action and actually located here is that other this didn't always be true about and fifty stones now it is came that can be stones only work in their own universe which actually means that the suit brought to the future shouldn't have work but I guess because they share a common time line. They actually could work but you know there's a lot of there's a lot of questions that you get here when you get into the which is probably the agents are ignoring all that because they never pay grade man. That's that's a venue we're we're doing. We're the shield around the earth. We're we're the people that actually freaking wanted to put ozone's church. Yeah almost like coming full circle with the way comics work and there's all these alternative you know retailing's and Blah Blah Blah and that's and they're all valid and they're all fun. You know well of course because it's fiction all fiction is that you know all it's fiction should never make you feel bad or sad. I mean should make you feel sad should get you your blood's boiling but you know it's just fiction you know and it'd be mad about somebody. Else's is fiction. You know it's team gets mad about teen titans going. I'm like you know it's just teen titans. Go let its own thing you know doesn't erase past you know exactly it doesn't erase the past asked nothing erases the past the past the pass something new and other. It's good rinse bad but you know it's like you know no one. Is You know you can't say oh man as a dish edition of Dungeons and dragons so much better the ninth of tissue then pay the eighth edition. You know it's like it's a pretty straightforward. You know way to work but anyway that's one theory okay but that is episode. <hes> is now sort of Bosnia around the agents and I think he's GonNa get his <hes>. Come up before the end of it. <hes> interestingly enough we had two characters Bruce who theoretically are in this episode aren't in this episode one is that the fourth member of surges crew gets. Nothing in this doctor are Dr isn't in this episode either which I thought was interesting. That's yeah so both of them because again the doctor had been a guy who would have said you know if they're moving towards each other. We probably don't WanNa put it in the same place yeah yeah again. Maybe play got that day off that he's been looking for who knows who knows multiple anyway so <hes> Mas that is tonight's episode <hes> and if people would like to reach out to you and discuss the agents the the shreiks the chronic John's or at all the fun that you can have on awesome oh they can email me Mas Manzoor at Jima Dot com or find me on facebook under Mas Manzoor. "I'm gonna call you a racist to call you a man I'm gonna call you a criminal for my freaking teeth because you're not going to pardon me. That's where this probably that's probably where this is going to. The possibility of a pardon. Was shot down by Trump himself. He was shot down by Rudy Giuliani. Joy heddon. These are all the attorneys at the time for the President Trump. Giuliani. Well, dismissing it at the time reportedly pasta the possibility that the president could grant Trump apart and in the future coda pardon. But that probably is gone now with after after everything that code it said. But the revelation of coq Cohen's lawyer Steve Ryan allegedly asking for the Spartan comes in the wake of all of this testimony. All of this testimony. Where he said within all of that testimony. He never asked for a pardon from Trump. Just like he never asked for a job at the White House. He never wanted to be chief of staff, whereas FOX was showing last week. Video of him saying that he wanted a gig of the White House. I never asked for nor would I accept a pardon for Mr. Trump. And now we're hearing quite the opposite is true. If you don't give me one sick like a bird number to cooperate with prosecutors. This whole thing is twisted. Hollywood could not have written. The worst script. But then we've got the present lawyer jumping in Mr. Cohen stands by his testimony before the house oversight committee. You betcha by. Golly. Well. Giuliani. Meanwhile, he gets back in the picture. He said that his default response regarding the presidential pardon. Is that quote, the president is not going to consider any pardons. If this time, nobody should think that he is though he adds whatever happens in the future. That is his perogative is that still leaving the door open. I don't know. But you know, if anybody thinks that Donald Trump is going to pardon code after everything that code is sad. Wow. I would be questioning the president sanity low. In fact, you have to coincide a number of things last week, including this whole thing about, you know, I never asked for a job at the White House. I mean, there's there's the perjury again. You know, that's a small one that's not that's not anything criminal. But it goes to the character of the witness, and it goes to the character of everything else that he said. Against the president. It makes it very nod believable. But yet again, I repeat a lot of things I said last week, I've just personally still very bad about this. They tried him out as a star witness that give him that label as a star witness. He is a star witness. This convicted perjurer. Is a star witness who, you know, openly was discredited last week, even by C N N who's been plagued with CYA gay. With Michael Cohen says the date all fell on his head. Even see an Ed. Had to go with the truth. As opposed to what Michael coda was talking about. This whole thing about the White House and getting a job there last week. That would see it. Ed turns on you. And you're one of them. I mean, you're all is lost. That's what you have to pack it in. Getting back to the wall thing for a moment. What I was talking about Republicans peeling away the Senate McConnell's now saying this morning there are enough Senate votes to reject Trump's wall booth. This is just getting more interesting by the moment, isn't it? If you will gather sub coming up four nine zero fifty eight fifty eight. The rape of the program at KM Jiang. You stay put. Fear this for so. Jesse was. Taking into custody this morning at the first district. He was taking the twenty six in Kent. In california. Which is where he is. Now that you said that Eddie Johnson is going to have a press conference. We'll learn a lot more about. You know, what exactly happened with all of this? But Jesse let's legal team is saying that they believe in the presumption of innocence. They're going to figure asleep defend him. So you know, who knows what's going to happen next with that? But also the producers of empire. Saying that they are trying to decide what to do now because they've been very supportive of him since all of this started in they're trying to decide whether or not they will suspend him whether or not he'll be fired. They don't know the twenty century. Fox's and officially commenting on at all. But there is talk that he may at least be suspended from the show until all this is worked out. We the obvious question is why why do it does anybody have any theory about that that's jumped to mind, and is something that you said, well, maybe only only all the internet speculation on the people seem to think, you know, the most popular being that he just wanted to get some attention for himself. You wanted to get his name out there, which doesn't doesn't make one bit of sense. It's it's kinda sick. Don't tell you. What what really angers me about this whole thing is that he was cleaning. That crime took place at homophobic behavior took place. And you know, he may be a statement that the two perpetrators were yelling because this country right now, all of those things do happen to people all the time hate crimes take place all the time against gay people against black people against Jewish people there. There is no shortage of hatred that takes in a violent hate crimes, which take place as a result of all of those things. So all that's valid. But what jussie smollet has done is trivialize when legitimate. Up where people really are beaten up and treated badly and anti semitic behavior takes place, and all these things trivializes because of for the for whatever stupid reason that he apparently did all of this. So you know, that's that's a shame. You know people. There's a rise in white supremacy. Coming onto all all of the things that Jesse smollet happened to really happen. Let's do have one time. I'm donna. And I'm Steve and together we are. Steve ryan. What do you guys think about this whole idea? This has been going around, you know, going on for years where people are wondering if the Monday after the Super Bowl should be a holiday. Do you think? So we wouldn't get off. Anyway, us three. Oh, hey. Hey. Me like that. Right. Show-me twenty nine percent of people do think that the day after should be a national holiday. Forty percent of us expect to show up late or call in sick. Can I make another crazy suggestion? How 'bout have the Super Bowl on Saturday? A big hits. I mean. Yeah. Although. Is a very big television viewing night. Saturday night means your show. We'll get canceled Sunday night means they think you are the excuse me and pardon. My French could end delicate. I'm sorry. If the Super Bowl is on Saturday, people are going to be watching the Super Bowl, Brandon Graham, if it's on Friday night, people are going to be watching the Super Bowl Graham daily Graham, if it's Sunday night is already a big night for television. Why not move the Super Bowl to a night where the ratings need a boost? Right. Sorry. I blew up. What happened to the NFL? Donna was the Commissioner. One year one week Donahue telephone you. No, I don't want to. I don't know. I think it's dirty dirty business. The NFL there's a lot of money exchanging hands. That's why it's dirty, right? That's why it's a dirty business because that's the bottom line is we're making money. Let's not get this information out there that could harm our money making machine. Wow. I don't know where this is all coming from. I really don't is not where I planned on going. How long have you been anti-big? Missile race here, man. Well, I'm also pro you know, anti concussion. That's right. That's a good position to have just think there's a lot of information there that needs to be figured out and worked out. Have you ever missed a Super Bowl? Not watched. It intentionally. It's all no. I don't think. So that is a good. It's something that is remarkable just from television viewing behavioral standpoint. Yeah. No matter if you're a fan or not. It's very rare that you come in on a Monday when you do after work. So it's not a holiday. Yeah. And somebody says, no, I didn't watch. That is very true. That's interesting long viewing commitment or our listen only sixty seven percent of Americans do plan to watch this year. So a third of people are watching. More. People course rooting for the Rams. I thought it was on the coast him. I kind of believe that one killer role or perhaps, and you are agent would see me catapulted into work in regular enough that I made my money from being an answer above all the other things. "If I saw that up Assode before yesterday when I watched that truly I swear to God at a certain point, I stopped watching the episodes because you know, how it was. It was just we were eating sleeping breathing drinking west wing, and you got home you're not I'm not gonna watch west wing. I wanna do but west wing. So I honestly don't think I watched that up until yesterday. So I was kinda shocked that it was like, hey, hey, hey, hold on not as not so people. Like, I could see my Alex laws bra that is I'm fine with it. I look back on myself with age much kinder than I think. I look fantastic. But given how prudish the show has been on till this time. That's basically a nude scene. Did you mind shooting it? I remember shooting it, I don't remember anything. I'll tell you the only thing I remember, and I don't remember a lot in my life. And I was looking at this episode going. I don't I don't remember shooting that scene. I don't remember shooting. This don't remember any of this. And then when I got to with Margaret where I had to say, and I wrote it down because I would be able to say it, where's the non-proliferation fund and the uranium repatriation study? That was the one I remember I sit that I remember that. I remember I couldn't say those words as fast as I needed to them. I told Alex is it just shoot it from the back. Get it on my that my head. I'm not gonna say it. I'm not going to be able to say it. I don't even know how I said it uranium repatriation, not those are the kind of word burgers that can turn into real situation because. After after missing at once or twice this feels like there's such a light being shy and onto it that you're just gearing up for that moment in the scene. Nick concern into situations increases your chances every time. Absolutely. Yeah. Let's talk about the first time in the situation room. Steve Ryan is secretary. Hutchison enemy Steve will mean man, my favorite Steve Ryan role. I don't know if we've talked about this. Josh is that of the one armed man on arrested development teaches the kids a lesson about. That's why you always leave a note George senior head used his considerable means to stage intricate scenarios to teach his children what he considered valuable life less time. You buy gear..

"He gives her this information about Hutchinson in the DOD that she needs in her battles with him. And she takes that in and she says to him. I love you desperately. No like, he says it's so quickly and like dejectedly that it's actually very hard. Not to love him that moment. I agree. That's Toby in. That's the brilliance of Richard Schiff and the portrayal that even when he's being knucklehead you've kinda can't help feeling affection for him. Yeah. It's great. And it is a ackknowledgement on his part that they are still friends, and you know, that this is not something, that's destroying their friendship. It's just this is just a a moment. That's great the Hutchinson stuff. I mean, here's another person who's doubting CJ a lot and giving her a hard time. He said. Is the woman of the hour and by calling her that I think he's paying her a compliment. But I think there's something cynical underneath it as well. Like the fact that he's saying of the hour. There's some indication that he thinks that she's not gonna stick around for very long. I think you're right. I think it's a settled too. Yeah. Because then they go into sit room and Hutchinson's running the show. I like that Margaret has to actually physically pick up CJ's hand and throw it on the scanner to get in the sit room. Great. It really is Margaret is on fire in this whole episode. Yeah. Great episode firm. Yeah. Yeah. Then Hutchinson in the room just takes up all the oxygen. And he's been a guy who's been annoying ever since he's shown up. I mean, he even before he showed up he was sort of a spoiler for the president often. And the things that he wanted they'd have to deal with them. But then once they actually cast him Steve Ryan like embodied the guy on suing. He's really been nothing but annoying the whole time through and makes me wonder why they keep him around. He just always seems to be trouble. That said it is refreshing to have a secretary of defense. There's at least a certain amount of security and having someone in the role. Yeah. Yeah. It's too bad. That Trump's secretary of defense was mad as hell and couldn't take it anymore. When they're in the sit room, by the way, they mentioned Oak Ridge besides which we take far own nuclear material in Dublin in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, every environmental group every time. By the way, is where enriched uranium was produced commercially for the very first time, and in fact, enriched uranium is sometimes called Aurelie, which is oh r a l l o y or Oak Ridge alloy or Eloy is your third favourite. Film MC L, ROY. Yes. I love this episode presentation of the different press secretary options is a reminded me of when landing have to be replaced. We got to see all these candidates come in. Yes, Ryan me a little bit. Also the additions for the role of Hitler in the producers with one thing..
