A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene in connection with the fire, and that same man was also overcome by smoke and transported a harbor view for treatment. A house caught fire early this morning in Everett near 34th and Broadway. Steve mccarran describes the scene, firefighters and engines there as smoke was rising up from that home. This is just up the road from funko field. Three people were taken to two different hospitals after suffering burns in this fire. One of them were told was in a wheelchair at the time, all three people are in critical condition, no word yet how that fire started. Just before 9 30 yesterday morning, there were three King County sheriff's office detectives going to serve that eviction notice at an apartment near Woodland park zoo. An authorities suspect an 18 year old driving one of the cars was under the influence. This happened on Saturday night on rainier road southeast and the Thurston county sheriff's office arrested that 18 year old driver. They say he was driving north, lost control and a curve crossed the center line and went into oncoming traffic. The impact killed his passenger. The 18 year old driver was processed for suspicion of DUI and his under investigation for vehicular homicide and vehicular assault. Deputies report, the other driver involved a 24 year old woman, has serious injuries. Steve mccarran reporting. One person is in critical condition after a major crash in Federal Way that happened this morning, south of 272nd street along 9 5 south. Investigation into this collision. That state trooper Rick Johnson says the crash involved two cars and a semi truck. The person in critical condition was driving one of the cars. Police are investigating a smash and grab robbery targeting an ATM machine at a credit union and south Tacoma, on south to come away and 96th in Lakewood. They got the money machine onto the truck, but did not get away with it. Police say it fell into the street at a nearby intersection investigators do have surveillance video of that incident, and they ask anyone who has information about that crime to call 9-1-1 right away. State epidemiologist doctor Scott lindquist says the mask mandate could come back if cases rise, but at the moment, the data doesn't support such a move. Pleaded not guilty to third degree rape in his bell was set at $200,000. He's also required to stay in western Washington if he posts bail. A man accused in a brutal attack inside a prison is back behind bars now facing new charges. Police say he carjacked a man in Seattle, knocked a 70 year old woman to the ground outside of a community center, stealing her purse, and was involved in an officer involved shooting in burying all within the span of 5 days. We talked with a corrections officer who nearly lost his life in that 2016 attack. That is like the worst nightmare of all. Sound transit now says it's light rail line from Federal Way to Tacoma won't be open until at least 2035. "Now, it's 37° at two O 6. A shelter in place order is now lifted in linwood following a hazmat situation. It was happening at a furniture refinishing business. This happened along 204th street southwest, just about three miles south of alderwood mall. We're told a refinishing product got too close to a heater and caused a chemical reaction that reaction created an irritating but not toxic smoke that set off the smoke alarm. No one was hurt. Coma forest Kelly cumans. A woman had to be rushed to the hospital after an early morning shooting in Bremerton. Officers were called out to chica way northwest at around one 30 this morning. This is not far from earlens point kitsap Lake, and about a block away from a fire station. The woman was inside her home when she was shot this morning. Family members immediately called 9-1-1, the woman suffered serious injuries, had to be airlifted to harborview medical center in Seattle. Deputy say several suspects took off after that shooting. Two drivers struck and killed a man overnight along southeast mile hill road in kitsap county, and we've learned that the 33 year old died at the scene, the drivers were a man and a woman, both in their 50s, they were not impaired according to the sheriff's office. Their investigation continues. Legislators and Olympia are looking at ending a state tax on gasoline, it would be replaced with a paper mile plan. Starting in 2025, electric drivers like Jay would have the chance to voluntarily participate in the paper mile system. Already, he says the measure is unfair because all drivers of electric cars would have to pay the same amount, regardless of how big their car is. There is an impact and we'd like to see the smaller, more affordable cars, tax less, especially for the drivers who just don't burn up the roads that much. In 2030, the pay per mile system would then be made mandatory for drivers of gas cars. We'll sponsors of the bill hope it'll make up for the shortfall in gas tax revenues. We are learning more about the man accused in a deadly stabbing at an addiction recovery house in kitsap county. It happened Sunday Night. Investigators say 29 year old Sterling travin admitted to using meth earlier that morning. Police found two people stabbed to death and two others severely injured in this home. Travis is facing murder and assault charges. That's come all fours Mary nom. A second arrest has been made in a violent smash and grab robbery that happened at a Tacoma pot shop October 28th. Having at the shop in the 2600 block of Pacific avenue, 6 suspects arrived at that closed business in three vehicles, one of which was used to drive through the front door. The suspects then entered the store started throwing merchandise in the bags. They had brought with them. Now, as the suspects were leaving, you might remember an armed security guard who had been outside the business exchange gunfire with multiple suspects. The suspects then took off in one of the vehicles, some ran off. Now to come a police say they have arrested an 18 year old. He also had a stolen firearm on him when he was taken into custody, then booked into jail. He's the second arrest now made in this case the other, a 17 year old, that guy was arrested back in December. Police are still looking for four others. That's kummel force Preston Phillips. Suicide rates are climbing again across the country after two years of decline. Komal for Steve mccarran reports, a local group is working to make sure people learn the warning signs and prevention strategies to help save more lives. The new statistics are hard to fathom. According to the CDC, more than 48,000 Americans died by suicide in 2021, the highest numbers recorded since 2018 and at least one out of every ten was someone under the age of 25. It's heartbreaking. It is. And that is Scott Hannah with family education and support services, which provides early intervention services in four local counties, including pierce, Thurston, mason and Lewis. In 2018, fess was asked to facilitate a task force on child and adolescent suicide because of rising rates. That spring, three young people killed themselves. In two of those kids were 9 years old. And. Not accidents. These were kids. They had a plan. They had the means. They slipped through the cracks. And our hopes to get the word out about some free seminars being offered each month this year to learn about different ways to get help. The warning signs of suicide, and the risk factors, which for dogs can include relationship problems. Substance abuse, historical trauma and barriers to healthcare. The CDC didn't reveal why suicide rates are climbing again, but research has suggested the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on mental health for all age groups. While we're hearing from parents a lot is that there are early signs that their kids are struggling, but that they can't get help during those early stages. So the challenges continue to escalate until something really bad happens. It is on all of us, he says, to do our part to help prevent that, knowing the warning signs, and the resources that are available, can be the difference between life and death. Coronavirus Testing Has Gotten Better, But The U.S. Still Does Not Have Enough Tests

We all want available doctors or doctors to be available, along with nurses and medical workers to be available to take care of patients.
