All right, Caleb park, the managing editor of Todd starnes dot com, Steve Gil joining us as well, and Steve on another big issue in Tennessee. The state poised to become the first in the nation the first in the nation to implement a ban on these gender transition surgeries for minors. Yeah, I think there are a lot of disturbing things about this. The permanency of these surgeries on minors that you have somebody from Vanderbilt university actually commenting about how it's a money maker for them. So the profit motive, the permanency of these dramatic decisions at very, very young ages for these kids, whether it's their parents making the decision from some sort of a perverted approach by them or whether it's these ten, 12 year old kids saying, well, I think I really feel like a girl or a boy, the permanence is disturbing, but to me, Todd, what's more disturbing is that the Democratic Party as a party is so embracing these sorts of just disgusting approaches to how we handle mental health issues. And the same thing is with the drag shows for children. I mean, if adults want to dress like a woman and cavort and gyrate and do these perverted dances for other adults, you know, I'm not happy with that, but that's their own business. But when they seem absolutely dedicated to doing it in front of young children to bring in their perverted performances to young children, that's disgusting, but what's more disgusting is that the Democratic Party is such morally depraved as a party that they are defending the drag shows. They are defending these permanent surgeries for young children who clearly have mental health issues. And I think this is a bigger story than just the perversion that is taking place in our society. It's that the Democratic Party is so adamant about defending it. Yeah, no doubt about that, and they are, and again, if you're an adult, you know, hey, look, go do whatever you want to do. If you want to go to the drag bar, you want to go to the strip club, I would not recommend it, but that is your right. On the other side of the table though, Steve, and I do, this is going to be interesting to see how the Republicans respond to this. There are some restaurant chains out there. One of them in particular has been called out a restaurant in Nashville called Twin Peaks that features scantily clad women and the point the other side is making as well, wait a second. You know, some of those drag queens have more clothing on than these girls do that are serving at the restaurants. So how do you square that up? Well, when I go to Twin Peaks, I make a point of looking around to see if there are any 12 year olds there, and I haven't ever seen one. So I don't think there's a matter that you've got folks that are taking their 6, 8 and ten and 12 year old kids to see scantily clad women, though I would also point out that at the beach, you're going to see women in bikinis that are wearing a lot less than the drag queens. The difference is, for the most part, they're not doing these sexually provocative performances on the beach in front of young children. They are certainly not doing it at Twin Peaks or at Hooters. They are scantily clad and they are definitely selling hot looks, but they are not performing for children. And the left can never grasp that rather big distinction that again, if some fat guy wants to dress up like a woman and shake his shake his booty, God bless you. But if you start bringing children in in front of that, a, why do they want to perform in front of children and be who are these sicko parents that think it's going to be a good promotion of cultural value to bring their child to see that? Again, I'm not seeing a bunch of 12 year olds at twin peaks, but they're not performing at Twin Peaks either. There you go. And that's the whole point is that they're not simulating sexual acts while they're serving you chicken wings, so there you go. All right. Not that I've noticed. Thank you. We've still got a lot, a lot of ground to cover, a lot of votes to count, we're going to get to all of your calls. Steve gill, you've got to head back to Nashville. I want to give you the final word here. What is the takeaway from yesterday? What is 2024 look like? I'll go biblical as well. Jesus wept and a bunch of Republicans have been doing it since last night as well. It was not what was expected. I think it's going to turn out as we were talking a moment ago, okay, I think Republicans will end up getting a ten, 15 seat gain in the house, giving us about a 25 to 30 vote margin. It takes the gavel from Nancy Pelosi. I think as we're watching the numbers come in from Nevada from Arizona, we're going to get Alaska, whether it's Murkowski or sheba. And then it comes down to the runoff in Georgia, but I think if we do get those seats in Nevada, Arizona and in Alaska, the runoff is whether we're at 52 or 53. And again, if you're looking at 2024, another person who had a landslide victory last night, South Dakota, Kristi Noem, the governor they're doing incredibly well, Kim Reynolds, who is not only a rock solid pro life or social conservative, but man, what she has done for the economy and the state of Iowa, that's huge. She could also be a potential either running mate or candidate in 2024. If she is so down to earth, I've gotten to know Kim over the last couple of years and I am very impressed with her. And again, in the heartland, you know, she's stepping up Missouri, we had some gains in Missouri, Kansas is one of the perplexing one of, you know, we still couldn't carry the governor's race because of the abortion vote there and an abortion referendum that turned out the liberals turned out the Democrats and certainly those campus Democrats that vote overwhelmingly for abortion. Pro lifers in Kansas pledged stupid politics and the Republicans tried even conservatives on their side tried to convince them that it was a bad move to shove that legislation down the throats of voters it was not the right time and there was political payback and blowback and not just there, but also in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, so that's a hot button issue for a lot of people. I can't wait for our friend George Barnard to break down the numbers of how many Christian evangelicals stayed home. Those are the difference makers in most every election when our people stay in the pews and don't show up at the polls, we lose. And no doubt about that, and Tennessee, another, it was a red tsunami in Tennessee, but the reality is only in the Memphis area. I think around 20% of registered voters a third. No, I'm sorry, about a third of registered voters bothered to go and vote. That's the lowest since the 1990s, so I think there's something to that. These mega churches are telling people, stay home don't engage in the political process. Presidential election years, 17 million Christian evangelicals stay home. 17 million. That swing any and every race. You're thinking newsome and Hillary? Yeah, I mean, that's who the Democrats don't have a bench. They don't. Steve Gill: Predictions for Election Results, Favoring Republicans
"Think the trendlines are in favor of a red wave or possibly a red tsunami as I think Republicans clearly take the house. I think at this point, I would think we end up with 52 48 in the Senate, maybe even more. The trendlines are in the right direction, but it all turns out with what happens. With turnout over the next over the next week, you've got a couple of days of early voting in some states. And I think Republicans have to win most of those seats by a wide enough margin that they can not be stolen. We've already had incidents reported where 250,000 ballots are being shipped out to people who are not eligible to vote in some of these blue states. We know that they've been artful in steaming close elections in the past. I think we've got a fear of the same thing that could tamp down the way that could be building. The best indication though Todd is it's sort of like a where's Waldo. I think Kamala Harris is pictures on a milk carton right now as people are wondering, where is Kamala? She was doing a get out the vote event this weekend. In Massachusetts, not in a battleground state. Not in a battleground district, but in a state that has no tough races because they're having to hide her. Joe Biden's up in Delaware apparently groping his granddaughter as they go both. Oh my gosh, did you see that that was disgusting? Oh my gosh, Steve Gil. How long does it take to put on a I voted sticker on the chest of an 18 year old girl that involves you having to continually press it down and mash it down on her breast to make sure it sticks appropriately, but they're hiding them, you're not seeing Democrats going into these battleground areas. In fact, they're moving money out of out of races where it looks like Republicans may be winning and putting them into districts that should be safe. I think the Republicans pick up three maybe four net gain governor races. I think we picked up control of the Senate and the House.

While they're tracking down grannies and dads who try to protect 12 year old kids from harassing abusing protesters, they're ignoring the murder rate that's risen more than 30% in two years. And it's worse. Because the FBI reports don't include the crime rates from the biggest blue Democrat violent cities like New York and Chicago and LA. They're not turning in their reports to the FBI to sort of downplay how bad the crime rate is. Security is the issue on the ballot in the midterms. Security. Border security, economic security, your security and your neighborhoods, it is a security election, and that ought to be the only thing Republicans were talking about. I mean, we got looming nuclear war, gas prices spiking, the inflation, you know, taking away more from your paycheck. Disastrous potential for a nuclear war in Ukraine that does zelensky and Biden seem to be pushing us towards. And yet one of my friends just texted me, Steve, that first segment when you were talking about celebrity and culture update and the Tom Brady potential giselle divorced, it sounds like you're taking Tom's side. No, people aren't accusing me of taking Putin's side versus zelensky or vice versa, but I'm sounding like I'm taking Tom's side and that I don't really understand how women feel. I will agree 100 percent. The last thing I understand is how women feel, think or really kind of do anything. I'm the last guy in the world that understands women and I will put that out front. I'm just pointing out that Tom Brady was a football player when she married him, so she shouldn't be surprised. That he's a football player. I mean, the Jersey, the pads, the helmets, the eye black, all of that should have been a pretty good clue. Now granted, he probably didn't dress that way at the wedding, but sometime before the wedding, she had to figure out this dude was a football player. And as I pointed out, all the cosmetics and hair products in the bathroom should have been a clue to him that he was marrying a model. And it should have been any big surprise. Now, I don't know if you saw that one of the porn stars that has offered to comfort Tom female porn stars has offered to comfort Tom during this trying time in his life. She apparently has not yet heard from Tom, hopefully his divorce lawyers are telling him to at least wait until some settlement is reached. But an example of how clueless I am about women that I will share with you, by the way. I got a text from a woman friend of mine earlier this week. And I'm reading this because I want to get it exactly right because I didn't catch it. And I'm sure a lot of other guys are going to be just like me. I got this text. Just went shopping at the specialty store, a fairly embarrassing experience. And then there's emoji with like two hands over your mouth looking either like you're about to puke or you're embarrassed. And I didn't think anything about it. Didn't think anything about it. You know, wow. Good. You went shopping at a specialty shore. I'm thinking ceramics. I'm thinking culinary items. I'm thinking tchotchkes that, you know, you start getting candles and stuff for this. So I get another text from her saying, OMG, I'm embarrassed. I can't believe I sent that to you. I meant to send it to my girlfriend. And I'm still thinking to myself, why are you embarrassed about going to some specialty store to get, again, culinary items, pots and pans specific shoes? And then she clarified that it's one of those specialty stores for like sex toys. I said, you know, if you hadn't brought it up, I never would have even made the leap from specialty stores of culinary items and candles. So again, I'm probably the most oblivious guy out there. So Tom Brady and giselle have apparently both hired divorce lawyers. Some of my friends are already joking that after they split their assets, gisele, is it giselle or is it gazelle? Gazelle, anyway, misses Brady, well, apparently end up with more Super Bowl rings than Aaron Rodgers. I mean, by the time Tom divides his, she will have more Super Bowl rings than Aaron Rodgers has, which is kind of a commentary in and of itself. In any event, the speculation is that she's upset that Tom has decided to keep playing football. I don't want to get into the romantic relationships of people. I don't want to try to give people domestic advice. I'm the last guy in the world that should do that. But honey, he was a football player when you married him. It's not like he was an accountant working at the accounting firm down the street and all of a sudden he had a midlife crisis, decided he wants to try to be an NFL quarterback, completely disrupted your life, and all of a sudden he's an NFL goat, the greatest of all time. He was what he was when you married him. It kind of be like if Tom Brady started complaining and seeking divorce advice over the fact that there is so much women's cosmetics in the bathroom. There are so many hair products in the bathroom at home. Tom she was a model when you married her. You should have figured some of that stuff out on the front end. So apparently the rift at least the reported rift is that he wants to play this one more season of NFL to show he still has it at 44. And he still does have it. It doesn't have much help when it comes to the Tampa Bay team, but he's still racking in the dough, racking in the endorsement. And apparently they've stopped construction on their huge mansion down in Florida as they're trying to sort things out with their lawyers. And so again, I'm not wanting to offer relationship advice. I'm just saying if you decide to buy a house or build a house or move into an apartment next to an airport, you have absolutely no right to complain a few weeks later that you're hearing airplane noises. You move in next to an airport, they're going to be airplanes landing and taking off. You marry a football player, there's going to be some football player in your life. And the fact that energy prices spiked gas prices went up, Tom decides to retire, and then the next thing you know, gas prices are $4 a gallon. And he has to go back to work, just to be able to afford to drive around town, take the kids to soccer or football practice, or dance lessons. I mean, it's not his fault..

You know, I think that's an excellent choice. David, I did want to touch on the student loan forgiveness push that Biden thinks he can do with an executive order, Nancy Pelosi a year ago was clear that you can't do this that Congress controls the purse strings. And claim they're going to get around this in some sort of application of the heroes act that was applying to an emergency or the border open 40 statute that they're claiming now that the crisis has gone away on COVID so we don't we can't control the border or do remain in Mexico, but we can give student loan money back. I mean, there's no basis for what they're claiming. So it's a bad deal all the way around on the student loan forgiveness on the not only on the fairness part, which and I've got to tell you from a constituent standpoint, we are hearing from a lot of our people who are really upset number one because it's not fair. It's not fair to anybody not fair to the country. It's not fair to the people who years ago paid their student debt, it obviously obligates not only our generation, but future generations of Americans have to pay it down. But to your point, it's really not lawful. And if and when this case is in the court system, which it will be, there are two quotes and you talked about Pelosi, Biden a year ago, February of last year..

You know, one of the big issues when you look at the political environment right now is can we remove the people who are doing so much damage? And again, not just Democrats and I hate to use the L word. I hate to call them liars except when they lie. They're now pushing this build back better plan that they know will increase inflation, no it will not help consumers know it is a tax increase and they're raising taxes during a recession. And here's a little clip that the Republican National Committee has put together of Democrats acknowledging that they know what they're doing is wrong. The last thing you want to do is to raise taxes in the middle of a recession. When the economy is in decline, you don't want to raise overall taxes. I don't think during a time of recession, you mess with any of the taxes or increase any taxes. No one is going to want to raise taxes when we have a recession. In an economy like this, the last thing we should do is raise taxes on the middle class. And yet that's exactly what they're doing. While denying they're doing it, Joe Manchin claiming, oh, it's not a tax increase, and yet senator Coons, a Liberal Democrat senator, says, oh yeah, it is raising taxes. And it will hurt, and they know it will hurt. But they're going to lie and say it won't, that it's not a tax increase that it's going to reduce inflation. And again, I hate to use the L word. Lie. Years ago, my son, Ryan, who's now in his 20s. Second season of survivor, we were getting ready to watch it and he was 5, four, 5 at the time, and came walking in and my wife said, I don't know if this is appropriate for the boys to watch. They're young and Ryan piped up. Well, it's okay this year, mom. There's no inward. It's like the N word. So yeah, naked because the first gear you had when guy stripped naked and wander around the beach and to Ryan, that was the N word. You know, we are making progress where that's what our young kids see as the N word these days rather than the bad inward. So I hate to use even the naked word and I don't like using the lie word, but sometimes you've got to use the right word..

"You suck. Maybe it's time for Joe Biden to stop being himself. That'd be the easy solution. Maybe we need to play a little John rich. Ride a horse, save a cowboy, or ride a cowboy, save a horse. You know, as they're trying to figure out how to get a pony for the bed wetters is senator Kennedy says, nobody sums it up like that. Be yourself unless you suck. And now you've got senator Kennedy actually, his team actually has bumper stickers that say that as well, to go along with his new ad. That's the kind of ads we need to see more from politicians. Straight, direct to the point, no confusion over what they're saying. And we don't get that from President Biden or his administration. The problem is when you're having to double talk, double speak, backup constantly on what you've said and then change the words change the language because you can't actually communicate your policies. Makes it a disaster. I don't care whether you're a Republican or a Democrat when you can't communicate clearly what you're wanting to do. It's not going to work out very well. The problem for the Democrats and what Republicans is congressman Johnson pointed out in the last hour have to do is put the pedal to the metal. Don't stop. Don't think you've got the win. You have to go out there every day and try to do better. Try to communicate to the American people, the differences in policies. And the issue is that Democrats have to lie about what they're doing. To win. Republicans just have to tell the truth louder and better than Democrats can lie, and this build back better program is a prime example. They're claiming it's an inflation reduction plan. While the congressional budget office and 200 economists agree, it's not going to reduce inflation at all. We're at 9.1% and it will likely go up. We might have seen a brief respite in gas prices, but that's because people stopped driving because the prices got so high. They came down temporarily, they're about to come back high with a vengeance. That's going to fuel more, no pun intended. Fuel more of the high gas prices that we saw just a month ago. Now the president won't take a credit for that and won't do anything to stop it because he is so craven in his willingness to genuflect and worship at the altar of climate change. That no matter how much damage it does to Americans and our communities and our businesses, that's his goal. That's his job SECs it. Gas prices are going to go up. Inflation is going to go up. This 750 $1 billion in new spending is not going to reduce it a bit, and that's what the economists, that's what the experts are saying. And calling it an inflationary reduction plan is along the same lines of being unable to define women, being unable to admit that a recession is a recession, the way it's always been defined. Because they can't tell the truth. They have to lie faster than the Republicans can get the truth out. We'll talk more about it in a moment. I'm Steve Gil filling in for Todd stars. "So look, today is not the day to be talking about running for office. I will say though it's really important that we have people in our state representing us who represent the values of our state. And I'd be the first one to tell you I was rooting senator Manchin on. As he did some good things, right? You know, I think we have to be honest in this business. If you stop the changes to the filibuster or other policies you guys say, hey, thank you. That's good and you stood up to the pressure. In this case, it did not stand up to the pressure. It's a terrible bill for West Virginia and people need to know that. You know, I'm going to make a decision as to what I'll do sometime next year, but we've been on a heck of a run in the 8th piece office 20 huge cases at the Supreme Court and really trying to help our state economy so I'm going to keep doing that and then sometimes next year I'll make the right call about what to do. Well, keep up the wins and I do think from a political standpoint, Manchin, you may not have gift wrapped it, it may just be a gift bag. I've been listening to the show on the K ram app, as a matter of fact, poked him deadly and I would just visiting for a while. He's down here. He's a great Tom Holman just sat down in his joints delicious soup next to a Steve deal here in the speakers. Green room at cpac. I know Hogan, he's a great guy. I wish we were listening to him as the press secretary for the president instead of what we currently have. Look, a rock would be an improvement over a business off the air. That's an insult to rocks everywhere. But it sort of funny, we actually have a number of K ram listeners that are down here for cpac and you can sort of tell everybody is just sort of still in this zombie like state after what happened with the election last night. And those people who are not from Memphis, but they know I am. Several people have come up to their like, oh my gosh, what happened? You are condolences, but it is what it is. You know, it's one thing, Todd, that Republican stayed home and didn't get actively engaged in the race to keep a conservative, strong district attorney in place to elect a conservative as county mayor, but it's not just the Republicans fault. You have a lot of independence and Democrats who should know better than to follow the lead of what we've seen in places like New York with bail release with defund the police and yet they've elected a guy that is promoted the exact wrong policies. Yeah, and this is a problem that we are seeing all across the nation. Of course, the folks in San Francisco normally, they don't have the sense God gave a goose, but even they understood how radicalized their district attorney was and of course they were able to recall him. There are other there are other district attorneys, other cities that are facing the same faith that we are facing and the Memphis Tennessee area. Steve, we've got to mobilize the Republicans. We've been talking about this on the show for months now. We have to campaign like we're 20 points behind. And if we don't, it's going to be very difficult in November to take back both the House and the Senate. Well, and when you look at the chaos that happened in counting the votes, getting the votes done in Memphis, we continue to see the chaos in Maricopa County with their election where Carrie Lake was just announced finally as the winner took three days. You're seeing the same confusion chaos ineptitude and I think intent in trying to steal these elections. You are. And we're going to see more of that. And that's why cpac is so vitally important. This is an opportunity to have a great big national temporality and really propel us to the finish line in November. Later on this afternoon, I'll be hosting about an hour's worth of panels up on the main stage. Starting off the afternoon interviewing the governor of Oklahoma, Kevin stitt, who is without a doubt the most pro life governor rehab in America, we're after that, we're going to be talking with the founder of moms for America, mobilizing parents to fight back against their school boards and getting involved in those school board races. And then a little bit later after that, we're going to be talking about why faith matters to conservatives with our good buddy, father Frank pro Bono. I know you know him and of course NFL, the great NFL player Jack brewer among some of the others. So it's going to be an action packed day here at cpac. And it's great to see so many of our great listeners here from all over the country. Bring a man fire him up and send him back to get the work done where they come from because it's in the trenches. And again, we see when we don't turn out the other side wins. I mean, you know, I thought we talked before. Yeah, a lot of religious leaders say, well, I'm a Christian, I don't feel like I should be involved in politics. Well, if we're not evil is, if we're not, the other side is, so don't sit back and complain if you don't roll up your sleeves and get out there and make a difference. And that's been a massive problem. And that's a great example of what happened yesterday at Memphis, which is a very religious town. The only churches that were allowed to be mobilized were in fact the churches that supported Democrat candidates. Many of the large mega churches which had incredibly conservative memberships, those churches have been neutralized. They're afraid to speak out because they don't want to they don't want to be accused of being a racist or offending people. And in a sense, a lot of these mega churches are now going woke Steve, and that's a big problem for the country. We've got to get these churches back on board. Yeah, our founders would literally mobilize right from the pulpit in the march into the battlefield for freedom and we need some courageous pastors along that line again. "And that's why we're having this conversation. Again, Steve, I don't like having to play Rachel maddow on this radio program. But look, I appreciate that at least somebody came out and shared that information. Because we've all we all know what goes on behind closed doors, but to have the leader of your party out there in the House of Representatives. Turning against the president. Am I question is what else is out there and what else did they try to do to thwart president Trump's agenda? Well in The New York Times reporters who have this book coming out may 3rd that have this first tape that they've released it again, contradicts what McCarthy is now trying to say. Oh, I didn't say it. I'm sorry, brother. It's on tape. They've got other tapes that are apparently going to be even more damning of what McCarthy was saying behind the scenes. And we all know that Donald Trump does not suffer fools and traders lightly. So McCarthy's comments are going to come back to hurt him and you're going to see president Trump who's out there trying to elect as many Republican House members as he can. I think weighing in on the speakership and I sure like to see a Jim Jordan or a real conservative at the speaker. Instead of McCarthy, who we can't trust. No, I'm with you, and that was my next question. Who do you see if it's not going to be McCarthy? And I don't think it ought to be McCarthy, and honestly, Steve, the fact that he is still in his leadership position right now, after those tapes came out, that's a problem for me. Yeah, the gutless wonder is unfortunately in the Congress that are ducking and hiding today, both conservatives and moderates. I mean, they don't, they don't want to challenge the speaker because they don't want to get punished like we've seen him do to people like Marjorie Taylor Greene and others. So they are worried about him wielding power. Hey guys, you know the best way to prevent that, take away his power. Then he can't wield any punishment against those who actually stick to conservative values. And I like Jim Jordan, the problem is, and we saw it in the Senate when McConnell was the leader, even if you're the leader and you only have 51 or 52 Republicans, the Collins is the Murkowski, the romneys, the others, you don't really have a majority. So they're limited as a speaker or majority leader as to what they do. We've got to elect more conservatives within the caucus in both the Senate and the House and then get the majorities of actual conservatives where the rhinos can't constantly backstab and pull the rug out from under us. As Gail said, the Democrats stick together. Our problem is that we've got these rhinos that would rather side with the Democrats rather than side with the Republicans they claim to be a part of. And on that note, we got a report out of Alaska where Sarah Palin is just fighting man. It looks like the establishment Republicans in Alaska are already going to endorse somebody. For that congressional seat, that would the late Dane young seat. And then in Georgia, we've got today Marjorie Taylor Greene testifying, and she may not even be able to run for reelection. Yeah, again, the efforts to stop and silence conservatives isn't just Twitter. It isn't just Facebook. It's the Republican Party in too many instances. And again, it's the squishes that are so afraid of those within our party that are speaking the truth that they'd rather go along, get along with the Democrats, go to the cocktail parties and everybody slap them on the back and say how nice they are until of course they're actually running for office. Look at John McCain. He was the Democrat's favorite Republican when he was the maverick and voting against Republican things. And then when he was the candidate, they skewered him as hard as they did anybody else. They are not our Friends. They are not our allies. And George Soros DAs, when you start sit there and peacefully protest them, but they probably start putting, you know, FBI agents there and calling another January 6th, but you know? Well, and bob, thank you for that reminder. We haven't reminded people about that, but bob, you did because you are a great American patriot, sir. Folks, the question on the table, and it's been on the table for a long time now. Exactly how many FBI agents were involved in January the 6th. How many FBI agents staged and planned what happened? And how is it that we still, even though we have video evidence, how is it we still don't have an arrest and the people who planted the pipe bombs at the RNC and DNC headquarters? A lot of questions that the FBI does not want to answer because I think ultimately we all know the answer to that question and so does the FBI. All.

This is around the Nashville area where there is a fierce fight that's developing that's unfolding in the 5th congressional district between the mega world candidate and the Trump endorsed candidate. Let's go to the patriot mobile newsmaker line. Our good friend, one of the best political analyst I know Steve Gil joins us, hey Steve, how's it going? Hey, Tod great to be with you. So Steve, maybe you can explain the story here. You have a former Trump staffer, Morgan ortegas, and then you've got Robbie starbuck who is the darling of the maga world. And they're both running for the same congressional seat. Well, and there's others that are actually from Tennessee that have some Tennessee conservative values that may yet get in the race, Andy ogles who is the mayor of Murray county, Columbia, Tennessee, where they host mule day each year, you've probably been to mule. They are at least no view all day. He's a conservative who was fighting against the vax mandates, not against the vaccine, but against being forced to mandate the vaccination of kids in their schools and others. So he's on the sidelines at this point, but possibly looking to get in. But then you've got the two big names that are getting a lot of attention right now. Morgan ortegas weinberger, she is a woman from Florida has worked in D.C. and then for the State Department in Baghdad. And has credentials in Washington, but only moved to Tennessee a few months ago to run for Congress, only registered to vote in Tennessee in November 20 November of 21. So her first vote she can ever cast in Tennessee will be for herself. She has pledged her loyalty to Joe Biden right after he got elected. Her husband, mister weinberger, worked as an associate legal counsel in the take your breath real quick in the Obama White House. What? She and her husband were married by their good friend and neighbor, Ruth Bader. Let me kill some babies, Ginsburg, the story that's coming out on this woman is just, by the way, she was also one of the top spokespeople for Jeb Bush for candidate against Donald Trump when she was speaking on behalf of jet comparing Donald Trump to a petulant immature teenage boy and referred to him as disgusting on several counts. This is who Donald Trump without any actual knowledge of who she was, other than somebody saying, oh, she worked in the State Department. This is your Donald Trump endorsed before she's even in the race. And by the way, Steve, this is on been brewing now this has been sort of a simmering for several days since the president's endorsement came out. And we're getting word that the president is doubling down. He is, he is still affirming his endorsement of ortagus, and he says he just doesn't know Robby starbuck. Well, and it's interesting, nobody knows Robbie starbuck and starbuck is, by the way, his name is actually Robert Newsom. He has changed his name. Well, not even legally. He's just going by Robby starbuck. I'm not sure why Robert Newsom wasn't good enough. But he only moves to Tennessee about three years ago. These are people from California from Florida and D.C., who are dropping into this new district thinking, oh, these dumb hicks in Tennessee won't figure it out. I can pretend to be whatever will get me elected. So in the case of Morgan Ortega's weinberger, so she can get back to D.C.. She's never been through a PTA meeting in D.C.. She couldn't find whole Tennessee in the district on a map. She wants to go back to D.C. just today. She was on Fox News, commenting on what's going on in Ukraine. From D.C., she's not even in Tennessee, when she's doing her commentary. So just so we're clear. So president Trump endorsed her. So Robbie starbuck, meanwhile, has the endorsements of Candace Owens, Madison Cawthorn, Sebastian gorka and Marjorie Taylor Greene, just so we're all clear about this. I don't think any of them have seen the enormous video that he produced and directed for Gucci mane. And I don't think that's going to be I've seen it. In the 5th congressional district. What about just churches? I don't think most of the ministers in the district have seen it yet, but I'm guaranteeing you they will see it soon. He's been voting and nobody has a problem with him in the Republican Party the whole 9 yards. But here's what I wrote that caused the caused the telephone call. I am certain there are plenty of conservative tennesseans that's all caps. In the 5th congressional district who are well qualified to run for Congress. That's what I don't get Steve. Why do you come and I just have a problem when Hillary did it in New York? I got a problem when Republicans do it. You know what? If you want to run for Congress, stay in California and run. Or in D.C. or in D.C. or Morgan ortegas weinberger. I mean, D.C. Morgan simply wants to do a touch base in Tennessee so she can get back to Washington, D.C. and then if president Trump runs or for Republican runs and gets elected president, she'll be diving back into the administration somewhere because that's where she really wants to be. Robbie starbuck is claiming, oh yeah, I voted. It's like, we're not in Tennessee. And the records are clear, he has never voted in a Republican primary in Tennessee. Now he went on a local radio show and claimed that he had voted in primaries in Tennessee. And now he's claiming he misunderstood the question that he voted in Republican primaries in California and he just thought they meant Tennessee because it's so easy to confuse Southern California and the 5th district in Tennessee. The beaches are almost identical Todd. Well, I will say this. I would say California values rule in Nashville proper because of all the Hollywood and music types that have pretty much ruined that once great city. But beyond that, it is a very conservative area. And my first question would be fine buck snort Tennessee on a map. And if they can't do that, you're out of here. Or trying to spell hohen wall. Or Ho and all that's true. That's even tough for some of us tennesseans. But to your point interesting that Donald Donald Trump tweeted or today and made a point that he didn't know Robbie Starbucks, he understands he voted for Obama. Now, the only way Trump would be thinking that is if Robbie starbuck or Robert Newsom as he was then before he changed his name and changed his address. If he had tweeted or if he had posted or made some comment as he was catering to his black rap artist, and we're talking guys like Snoop Dogg and others, this guy was in that culture. I'm sure he told them or publicly stated. Oh, I voted for Obama too. I'm one of y'all. And now he's claiming that he lost his career in Hollywood because he came out for Trump, although there's no evidence he ever came out for Trump. Now, Steve, and again, I want you to, if I'm off base here, just hold me back on the wagon. The reason this is important, I think the reason why this is important is we've got to get these candidates right. We saw what happened when Republicans in Georgia played that identity card, Brian Kemp, Nami Kelly loeffler, primarily because he wanted to name a female senator and we saw how that worked out. Now you've got two Democrats in the U.S. Senate from Georgia, one of whom is a raging communist. They do not reflect the values, but the problem is we had some we had some problems in the primary race and ultimately who the nominee was. Well, and I think some of these the cost ones in the Marjorie Taylor greens and others when this district was before that it was redrawn by the legislature just recently was Davidson county. Their thought was, oh, this is a guy of Hispanic heritage, is now sometimes he will play it like, oh, my family and I fled from Cuba. It's like, again, to shoot by half. His mom left Cuba when she was four in the 60s. I mean, it's not like he got on a little boat and paddled his way from Havana to Miami. But he's playing that. So it's like, oh, he's got this Cuban heritage story. He's got a man bun. Slick back here. He looks a little bit like AOC. Where's the skinny jeans and talks the talk of somebody who's read and is very capable is kind of like an actor. The same thing is really kind of true of Morgan ortegas weinberger in that she's going to be a creation of the media. Again, both of these guys are much like AOC, a creation of the media saying what plays to the base in her case the far left and these guys case to the far right. But it's talking points and it's not reality and I think Republicans have to be smart not to play the identity politics of, oh, we need a Hispanic woman from Florida to drop in here and teach us groups how to send somebody to Congress. We need a vaguely Cuban man bun hip hop kind of guy to help us get the vote. Maybe that would make sense if it was still the Davidson county urban district, but now it's Murray county Columbia. It's part of it's about half of Williamson county, just south of Nashville. It's. Louis Berg, Tennessee, Marshall county. These are urban rejects in many cases where people have fled and rejected the policies of urban Nashville to get to the countryside in the suburbs and have Tennessee values not trying to import them from California or D.C. or Florida..

Dad checks on daughter after tornado destroys home in Georgia, then dies of heart attack day before her wedding
"Cleanup continues in Cali to county schools will not be in session tomorrow. Now we to county canceling school is it's just not safe yet for students and teachers in the aftermath of the tornado. Debris still being picked up in noon in the high school with extensive damage. All 13 of its buildings need repairs. Shootout leaves 3 people injured at Metro Atlanta DeKalb County Waffle House
"This morning. Three people are shot at a Waffle House into cab County. Two women, one man and it happened here at this Waffle house were on Flatulence Parkway just outside the perimeter south of 2 85, and there are employees still inside. Talking with detectives inside the restaurant, Channel Two action news reporter Steve Gil Bok says an argument inside the restaurant spilled out into the parking lot. All three of the victims are hospitalized.
